If you know the password, you can make your way through a portal in the stone wall of the dungeon and walk into the Slytherin common room:

The ceiling is low and the walls are made of stone, and even though they seem dank and cold, the room is a very comfortable temperature. There are greenish lamps by black leather couches and chairs, with skulls all around. Some of the chairs had been transfigured into Chaise Lounges by previous seventh years, and never turned back. There are windows and as the common room is located under the lake, you can occasionally see mermaids, grindylows and the giant squid swim by. A fire burning hunter green flickers in the fireplace, before the rug covered floor. The Slytherin emblem is everywhere, as pride is one of this house's qualities.

This is where Slytherin students are allowed to unwind, study and chat with one another. There is a straircase straight ahead that leads to a room students may use as a quiet place to study, and ask prefects and high scoring students questions. To the left, a staircase that goes down to the Boys Dorm, and to the right a staircase that leads to the Girls Dorms. Beside each staircase is self inking quill and parchment with the words Attendo Thea Vipera on it.

On the side of the fireplace is a Notice Board for class and homework announcements, as well as general announcements and signup sheet with the words 20 minutes max on it, for those wanting to sit on the couch and stare at the fire all emo like. On one of the coffee tables you see a copy of the Slytherin Scroll, a newsletter only for Slytherin Students.

A box is on an end table, where you may sign up for or to be a Serpent Sidekick, and a podium with a copy of Hogwarts a History, which is where you will learn that even though the whole dungeon had once been flooded, nothing was waterlogged or permanently damaged.

As a rule, Dylan was usually relaxed after start-of-term Feasts...His belly was full and with no pressing assignments hanging over his head, he could just...be.

Not this time, however.

How could he be, though? The Captain had been forced to look at...those gremlin-looking creatures while he'd been attempting to eat. And not gizmo gremlin...but the ones that pop up after they get sprayed with water. Gah! How anyone could keep their food down with them in the room totally escaped him.

Which is why Dylan had escaped as quickly as he could. To his Common Room. Where House Elves knew better than to make themselves known.

So, here he was, sprawled out on the couch, reading. Yes, you seen it here first, ladies and gentleman. Recreational reading...

Well the second year could speak now but West hadn't had much to say on the way to the common room. Except the password to get in of course.

Loooooooooooooooooooooooook. Cap'n.

He bounded over in a few steps and threw himself in a comfy chair.

"I have to go get my broom from the healer lady." That was hello. "What are you reading?" That was 'sup.

Yawning, he heard (rather than seen), Odessa approaching his general area. Dylan thought it was interesting that West would loan it out, the broom, after just getting it...and said as much. "I do hope it comes back in one piece." Because really...women could be irresponsible when it came to belongings.

Not that it was anything against the Healer. She couldn't help she was a woman.

Not offering words, he lifted the book so the title was in plain sight. It was a bit silly...but the best defense was a good offense...or something like that. Dylan wanted to be prepared this time. He wanted...No, NEEDED to win.

...And...on second thought...

"How was your summer, Odessa?" Because he'd meant to owl...but had gotten...hit in the face with stuff.

"If she doesn't I will make my dad curse her." West said seriously. "But I think she will on account of she was really really pleased I offered, and there were witnesses." He liked the Healer and didn't really get why so many people thought she was scary.

"Oh! I know that book." As in, literally. West took a breath and then began to recite, from memory, "Chapter One: The Evolution of the Flying Broomstick. No spell yet devised enables wizards to fly unaided in human form. Those few Animagi who transform into winged creatures may enjoy flight, but they are a rarity. The witch or wizard who finds him- or herself transfigured into a bat may take to the air, but, having a bat’s brain, they are sure to forget where they want to go the moment they take flight. Levitation is commonplace, but our ancestors were not content with hovering five feet from the ground. They wanted more. They wanted to fly like birds, but without the inconvenience of growing feathers. We are so accustomed these days to the fact that every wizarding household in Britain owns at least one flying broomstick that we rarely stop to ask ourselves why. Why should the humble broom have become the one object legally allowed as a means of wizarding transport? Why did we in the West not adopt the carpet so beloved of our Eastern brethren? Why didn’t we choose to produce flying barrels, flying armchairs, flying bathtubs – why brooms? Shrewd enough to see that their Muggle neighbours would seek to exploit their powers if they knew their full extent, witches and wizards kept themselves to themselves long before the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy came into effect."

His summer? "It was okay." Paaaause. "Aspen's acting weird though." A deflated West. "She was too busy to do stuff with me."

Dylan was having a hard time imagining someone cursing the Healer...She's wasn't exactly a Mrs. Sunshine and Daisies. He knew she could be dangerous. Those who could save lives...obviously knew how to take them just as easily. Buuuut...one had to wonder where West had learned his tricks from. If it had been his father...Well, Healer Tiltstorm would do well not to mess that broom up.

Leave it to his Chaser to throw "I have witnesses" in that sentence somewhere.

He was mid-page flip when Odessa had started his book-reciting...Staring at him a bit dumbly, all the Captain could do was listen. What had the Second Year done? Swallowed the book? Merlin, Dylan didn't want to be reminded of Cookie Girl...but he was. At least he wasn't annoyed when the younger boy did it. "West, I think you should be my assistant." Yes, really.

At the mention of Aspen, Dylan just shrugged. Ravenclaw female. Yep, meaning that deep down, Dylan would think she was intriguing if they met. Because Claw girls made him stupid...and enamored. Obviously. Hearing the defeated tone in his player's voice had him setting his book to the side, though...and leaning forward. "Your sister is a Sixth Year, yea?"

"Assistant for what?" West asked, a bit suspicious. What was in it for him? And what was it? What did Dylan need assisting with? Was it a fancy way of trying to get him to do things that Dylan didn't want to do?

"Yeah sixth." West nodded once, decisively.

Aaaaaaand she happened. Oops. Someone wanna talk to her?

Already bored. She'd been here a matter of hours and she was already bored of it. Seriously, if something interesting didn't happen within the next day or so Aurora would be tempted to blow something up just to see the reactions... though around here people would probably think a first year had done it by accident. Sigh. Sure, it was safer here than it was back home, but at least when they were being attacked she hadn't been bored...

Aurora sank into one of the sofas in front of the fire and kicked her feet up onto it... if she was taller she might have been able to take up the whole sofa, but as it was her legs only just went over half of it. Pfft. Even with the inch she'd grown over summer she was still short. Grr. Bored and short and... restless. WHY was she back here? She didn't want to be. So she was moody. Again.

Ariana came into the common room and saw none other then the CAPTAIN and his creepy minion.

So much for sitting in the common room in peace.. that just wasn't going to happen.

"evening." she said as she by passed both of them going right up to her Dorm room

Hi Kim!!

The only thing that Cass wanted to do at the moment was plop down onto her favorite couch in the common room, raise her feet and take a long, long nap. But no, that isn't going to be the case, since unfortunately, despite feeling so deliciously lethargic, the girl was bouncing around with energy, trying to make the most out of her last year in Hogwarts.

"C'mon Kat!" The seventeen-year-old called out as she bounded into the green and gray common room and made a beeline for the black loveseat by the green fire. "Glad to see the common room so quiet for once, isn't it?" She asked the younger blonde once she had settled into a comfortable position.

siriusly_demented 09-05-2012 04:39 PM

Isabel was in total awe as she took in the slytherin common Room .making her way over to the window she looks through an tries her hardest to see if she could spot any mermaids or the giant squid.to her disappointment though she couldn't .taking one more look through the window just in case she turned and looked around the room again.A feeling of home sickness washed over her mind wanders to her brothers and what they were doing now .

Pweeeetty common room. She liked it. As long as Serenity forgot they were underwater. Serenity was deathly scared of water. She coukd hardly swim. She didn't even like baths. Well, if she couldn't sleep, she'd just climb in with some other first year right? Jokes. Well there was a bored kid. Apparently not everyone was as excited as her to be here. "Did Santa leave you off his list of something?" Serenity raised her eyeborws at the kid and sat on the sofa next to her.

It was bizarre that this kid was looking bored and upset and blah, considering Serenity was the one who had been threatened with losing 50 points from a scary Professor Saviour or S--- whatever his name was, just mere hours ago. And poor Alexa had lost Gryffindor some points too which was kind of slightly her fault. So yeah. If she was happy this kid should be. What happened? Someone die?

Aurora had been contemplating just giving up and going for a walk when someone sat down next to her. Who was she and what did she want? First year by the looks of it. Eurgh. She already had a favourite first year, she didn't need another...

Except Theodore wasn't a first year anymore... Hmmm.

"You'll learn pretty quickly not to greet someone like that in here." she muttered, turning slowly to look at the girl. "Especially when they don't look happy." Mhmm, annoy an upset Slytherin and you might just lose a limb... or more likely your eyebrows... or similar.

-feel free to talk to her-

Elektra walked back to the common room after her encounter with Selina Skylar and Elektra's blood was BOILING at this point. How Dare that little midget talk abouit my father and tell me she isn't afraid of me!! I'll show her...I'll BLOODY SHOW HER NOT TO CROSS ME AGAIN!! Elektra thought to herself. The mention of her father was something that Elektra never really liked to talk about. Every single time that she would hear about him or hear the very mention of his name she would feel like curling up into a ball and and just go to sleep and dream of a father that she WISH she could have other than Connor Draven. Maybe Elektra wouldn't be as cold-hearted as she is now if she had a different father, but that's life. You take what you get and you roll with it.

Elektra walked over to one of the couches and flopped down as she put her hands on her face and lets out a long sigh and runs her fingers through her hair as she leans her head back. "Just one more year...just one...more...bloody year..." She said softly to herself and picked her head back up as she fixed herself on the couch and crossed her legs as she just sat quietly and stared at the green fire. This wasn't the life I wanted and hoped for. I never asked to be brought into this world...Uggh...

Bwahahahah. Now missy here looked even more overjoyed at the thought of an ickle firstie sitting with her. Was Serenity cramping her style? Not to greet someone like that? Should Serenity take her hat off and bow? Back to the 18th century? Even offering a handshake seemed old. What did modern people do? She couldn't say she met many people who seemed as sullen and clearly did not want company, and quite plainly, Serenity had not been taught how to entertain such a person, let alone greet.

"Sorry ma'am, much obliged to meet you." she raised her eyebrows and offered her hand. "So why aren't you happy? Or should I leave before you threaten me? Cause I don't mind, that Theo gave me a love potion and Professor Saviour punished him. Yeah." not to mention that she, too, had been punished. "And he threatened to take FIFTY housepoints, not kidding, Professor Savior not Theo that is." That guy was Professor Saviour right? She hadn't heard whatever he was saying beacasue he was too bust salivating, and promptly shoving, a load of food into his mouth. Apparently Professors were no better than animals now.

Ma'am..? Aurora raised a singular eyebrow as the girl offered her a hand. Didn't she know anything between rude and old fashioned..? But Aurora wasn't exactly in the mood to touch anyone right now so she ignored it. "Hello would have done." she said.

"If I was going to threaten you I would have done already..." Wait... what? Theo..? "Theodore..? Theodore Kinsley?" That brought a little smile to Aurora's lips... Yep, if it was him then she was super proud of her honorary little brother... though she would have to teach him not to get caught. "It's Scabior." Aurora corrected. "And if you do insist on getting caught in these things then teachers will take points. Only report things if they weren't done by Slytherins..." She rolled her eyes, surely that was common sense...

Ma'am whatever her name was now raising an eyebrow. Apparently that non-offensive welcome gesture had offended her. Oops. And she didn't even shake her hand? Now that was just COLD. Serenity shrugged, "You were the one that suggested such a greeting." Not her fault. If someone continued this way Santa wouldn't be bringing presents this year too.

Theodore Kinsley. "Dodgy-looking second-year?" she questioned. Cause if that was a yes, it was him. "INSIST on getting caught up?! Serenity exclaimed with a look of indignation. "Wow why don't you try not to get caught up when someone next asks YOU to drink a love potion! though with a face like that you won't be getting asked anytime soon It was Scabior? Whatever. "Well, next time I'll be sure to report him and see if Scabior will actually take some points this time. And I didn't report him, HE was causing a scene." Yeah, so not her fault.

"No." She hadn't suggested that. But there was no point arguing with some first year about this.

Dodgy looking?! "Oi! Be careful what you say about him. That's my little brother you're talking about." Well, not actually. But that's not the point, he might as well be.

ASKS? "You just said yes?" Aurora raised her eyebrows in actual surprise this time. "Listen, kid, if someone asks you to drink a potion you never just agree. How did you know it was definitely what he said it was?" She sat up a little straighter - this was important. "And believe me, I've avoided love potions before. It's not that difficult." Well it wasn't...

As for the reporting..? "If you report someone and they lose us points then no-one will be happy with you." she muttered, her eyes flashing dangerously. What did this kid even want?

She sighed and rolled her eyes. Merlin did she have to pick the kid who was his sister. "Oh, right. Shame for you." Must have been a dissapointment for their parents. She couldn't help but finish in her head. Why was everyone on Theo's side? He was just trying to... help? And surely he knew what it would do? How could he not have expected.. what happened?

"I know. I know." Serenity rolled her eyes. What was her problem? Why was everyone on her case about it? As if she was EVER going to drink another potion again. "As if you think I don't already know! Why does everything care about our business?" Serenity snapped. It was her turn to be upset. How date this kid? What business was it of hers?! Why couldn't everyone just shut up about it?

"Well I didn't report him. Okay?!" ugh. Did no-one ever listen to her? Apparently Theo was quite the favourite around here.

"Shame? No." After all. She CHOSE him as her brother. Duh. Why would she choose someone who wasn't awesome as a sibling? Hmm?

"Because potions can be dangerous!" And no, Aurora was not going to drop that. "Even if you do it right... sometimes they can really damage a person." She grew a little quieter as she said that. She knew more than a lot of people the damage a potion could do... and she had the bloody lung problems to prove it. "And if you don't want people to care then don't tell them."

"You said that already." Aurora pointed out, leaning back into the sofa again. She clicked her tongue a couple of times and the big white ball of fluff on the carpet in front of the fire stood up and showed itself to be a cat. Then it jumped up onto her lap and curled back into the fluffy ball. Yep, she had trained Sebastian this summer. Hehehe.

Anyone?(:

Fee made her way to the common room. This was amazing, just being back walking the old way. When you were on holiday you never really realized how much you actually missed Hogwarts until it hit you when you entered again for the first time after weeks. Most non Slytherins didnt like the dungeons very much but to Fee it was like home.

As the blonde entered she couldnt help but smile. For once the common room wasnt too croweded.Everyone seemed to be really relaxed and happy, just the way she liked it. Looking around the girl found the empty armchair in the corner across the room.Making her way to it she wondered were Cass or Kennedy were. She hadnt seen Kennedy at the feast either. Mhhh maybe some super fancy prefect duties. Plopping dwon in the armchair Fee crossed her legs and smiled to herself.Welcome home.

Uuuh. Well poor kid couldn't change her family. Not Serenity's fault her brothers were winners. Well, kind of.

Oh right. Yaaaay. Big rant yeah? Thanks. "Yeah, I think it really damaged her his ego." Serenity slipped in, sarcastically. And now she was making Potions sound like a health and safety lecture. Booooooring. Potions were boring. Someone should get rid of them. "Why do you care so much? Or is our potions teacher a safety freak or something?" Nad Serenity just ignored that last bit.

Yeah thanks Miss Smug. "Wow! You wanna cookie for remembering what I said?" Well done, Miss, now Serenity was in a bad mood too. She leaned back and some bit of white fur skittered over to her for a ickle nap. Wow, this kid had time on her hands. Teaching her kitty tricks? Well done. Her brother once had a cat. And he never taught it anything. Though he probably gave it all kinds of potions.

"Yeah sixth." West nodded once, decisively.

Dylan had to smirk at the younger boy's suspicion. Odessa was a sharp one...He'd give him that. "No, I wouldn't be asking you to do anything, really..." Yawn. Ruffling hair. "I just want you to help me with tryouts."...because you've swallowed this book and are useful to me.

Yea...that confirmed it.

"Odessa...You sister has probably got a boyfriend." Aspen was fully hot, too. So, it wasn't too far-fetched. "That doesn't mean that she doesn't have time for you, mate..." Not like he really understood that. The Slytherin Quidditch captain didn't have any brothers or sisters...

Unfortunately, never would now...Not since his mother was a...Yea. Whatever.

So much for sitting in the common room in peace.. that just wasn't going to happen.

Hag.

Yes. YOU.

Ugh, what in the name of Merlin's saggy underwear possessed that girl? Dylan just couldn't figure it out. She was SO unpleasant. She was like the love child of Lafay, Vinny, and a troll all in one.

"Don't be so bloody sarcastic about it." Aurora hissed, glaring at the girl. "One wrong move with a potion and you can be dead." Seething. Yep. Aurora was seething. Why did she care? She had an answer for that. Aurora rolled up her right sleeve and pointed to the medical alert bracelet around her wrist. "Because, believe it or not, I don't want anyone else to have to wear one of these things." And as for the safety freak thing? "I wouldn't talk like that to Professor Lafay's face." she added with a smirk.

Honestly, this girl would learn pretty quickly not to mouth off like that... because Aurora's wand was in her hand in seconds (yes, she'd been practicing the wrist-flicky thing). "You want to lose your eyebrows for being so annoying?" she retorted. Not that Aurora would actually hex the first year... and pretty much everyone who knew her would know she was all threats unless someone really annoyed her... but this kid didn't.

Ariana Came down from her dorm room she was Bored and there was nothing going on in there, there hardly ever was So she decided to go join the party downstairs. She sat by the fireplace and listen to Aurora bicker with that first year from the feast adn captain talk with odessa

Mmmckaaaaay, apparenty potions was a touchy subject. She would add that to the list of things that annoyed Hogwarts students. She pulled up her sleeve and Serenity had no idea what she was looking at. Though she did find it a bit odd the kid was still wearing some hospital tag thing. Oh right wait? That was what she was pointing to? "Okay! Okay... Sorry." she said sincerely. She knew hospitals and all that weren't very nice. Seriously though, didn't everyone have something wrong with them? "You're not the only one who's been to hospital.." Serenity muttered. Only Serenity wasn't quite so keen to talk about her trip there, nd her problem hadn't even been caused by a potion.

Okay and now she had her wand out. Happy times. No, she did not want to lose her eyebrows, though it'd be a great story... Though she wouldn't tell, she and Lex had a reputation to make. She smiled. She and Lex were gonna be beeeesssst friends forever.

Kennedy stepped through their common room portal with books in his hands. Herbology and dragons, awesome, no? As he walked toward the leather sofa he noticed Aurora...her wand out...and what seemed like a firstie. Was she already threatening someone?

Merlin.

The Head Boy bounded toward the two and plopped himself a few inches away from the firstie. "I do hope you aren't threatening our new students, 'Rora," he said, raising an eyebrow at her then eyeing her wand.

Hmmm? Was she? O____o

Hospital..? "It's not a hospital tag..." she said, frowning slightly. Had this girl never seen these before? "It's a medical alert bracelet... to warn people you have health stuff if you pass out or whatever..." Yeah, she'd ignored the apology. She was in no mood right now to have to deal with that. Not the only one? "Apparently I'm the only one with lasting effects..." she retorted coldly, eyeing the girls wrists. She had to wear this blasted thing every day in case her lungs decided not to work and she fainted... Urgh.

She'd shut up. Good. "Didn't think so." Aurora said as she lowered her wand and twirled it in the fingers of one hand, her other one scratching Sebastian between the ears. Ach, now she was bored, restless and annoyed. And she was half tempted to start ranting in German just to confuse the girl - it usually made people leave her alone - but she just couldn't be bothered. To be honest, right now she just wanted some painkillers... and to go to bed and cuddle her cat...

There's only one person I've actually deliberately hurt in this school and I don't remember you caring about that." Yep, if you use my nickname I'll use yours. Deal with it. And she wouldn't hurt a first year...

"Anyway, I was trying to teach her not to take potions if she didn't know what they were. And she was being sarcastic about it." And Kennedy should know where Aurora stood on that subject. In fact, he should have the same outlook considering... But that's not the point, she put her wand away and held her hands open in front of him. "Happy?" she asked, picking Sebastian up in her arms properly.

But the cat had spotted Kennedy and resisted, hopping down and landing on the boys feet. Because he was wearing SHOELACES. AND SEBASTIAN WAS THE MASTER OF SHOELACES.

Seri caught a much older boy come over. Not that much older than this kid, but even the girl she was talking/argueing with was much older than her. He ha just came in and he held a couple of books on... something? She wasn't big on books, she was no Ravenclaw. Oh but he was probably doing what were they called.. NEWTS or OWLS right?

Serenity clenched her teeth. He had asked 'Rora' so she could talk. She couldn't help notice his shiny badge. Pweeetttyy. Oh, it wasn't just a 'P' like the others she'd seen, it was a 'HB'. Wait? Was he the Head Boy? Yeahhh! Get Rora in trouble. "Are you the Head Boy? Which one is Kennedy because I met his godfather and he has a picture of..." Serenity suddenly placed his face, "Oh! It's you on his wall isn't it? I thought you were only a Prefect! He's very proud of you!" She stopped, cause the godfather had said he was shy. It would be so cool if she knew the Headboy.

Rora too? True she was fine now, blah, blah. Now she was really upset. Not Seri's fault. She wanted to rant about potions? Fine. Nice. Apparently there was some history between Rora and Kennedy. Hehe.

"And, for your information, Rora, I did know what it was, your brother was just being an idiot. I'm bored of all your lectures, apparently THE WHOLE of Slytherin worhips Theo Kinsley!" Ken?

KEN?!

Kennedy raised his eyebrow at Aurora. She knew not to call him like that and if she was getting him back for calling her 'Rora she sure had no problem with it this summer, but he wouldn't say anything about it now. "M'hm, right," he said, leaning back and setting the books on his lap. He knew she wouldn't hurt a first year, hehe.

Potions? Oh, right. And he couldn't quite disagree with Aurora there. "You could have said that in a calm, collective manner," he shrugged, an amused smirk tugging at his lips. He wasn't exactly going to full on agree with her out loud. When Aurora put her wand away, Kennedy nodded with a smirk. "Very."

Then Sebastian was at his feet and Kennedy grinned at him. The only cat he liked...he didn't even like his this much. Kennedy reached down and patted it's head while moving his foot so Sebastian could play with his shoelaces.

He then looked up when the first year spoke.

O____________O

His godfather had a picture of him at Sugarplums? Since when... Oh, it must of have been that time the man forced a photo from him. Hmm. Kennedy smiled at the girl and extended his hand at her. "Kennedy Escalante, and certainly Head Boy," he said.

Kennedy then sent Aurora an amused stare. He got the firstie to call her 'Rora! HA! Take that! "Well, you should always take potions you trust, not just because you know what they are makes it right." His two cents. Wait...her brother? This firstie met Krys? Whaaaat? Whatever. Kennedy then tilted his head to the side. Slytherin worships Theo? Pfffffft! "Ha! That's funny," he chuckled. Funniest thing he's heard all day, actually.

:: Ganymede came in grinning from ear to ear and giggling. She was so happy with the house point situation. It was so funny to her, they were at zero, but winning. How crazy is that? Maybe it was because she was new at the school and how things worked?

She strolled over to an open chair near other Slytherins and even recognized a few. This was going to be like her 'family' for the next seven years. What would that mean? She wondered to herself.

She kicked off her shoes and began to eavesdrop. It was something that was entertaining and since she had no WWN here, it was the best she could do. ::

"Don't call me 'Rora. We're not friends." Aurora said, shooting a glare in the girl's direction. "If you must speak to me, my name is Aurora." Though to be honest Aurora would rather this first year not have to communicate with her.

"Theodore is not an idiot." she retorted. He was just excitable, and that made him fun, not an idiot. "It's more idiotic to take a potion from someone who just offers it to you than to offer it. What if he'd been lying about what it was?"

Is he like... your boyfriend?" Ganymede wanted to get under this girls skin. It was entertaining to watch her get angry and Slytherin's perhaps showed thier affection by doing this. ::

Suddenly hearing a bunch of talk about one of his prize players, Dylan looked up and glared at the assembly...or those assemble, rather.

"Yo, don't talk about Kinsley."

Oh, Mr. Head-Boy-Pants.

"Escalante'."

It was his way of greeting to his fellow Slytherin.

Yep...Ignoring the females.

Dropping into a chair by the fire, Isaac massaged his shoulder, it was really sore. First he'd football tackled Ed through the entrance to platform 9 3/4 then had smashed it into the door on the train when it had stopped suddenly. He'd just gritted his teeth throughout everything after and ignored the pain. Both Nell and Amelia had been bad enough then for him to complain about some stupid bruised shoulder. Stretching his arm up and out trying to loosen it up a little, he gritted his teeth again, before just sinking into the chair and letting his thoughts take over.

He wondered where Amelia had gone to, after her ankle had been looked at and the head injury cared for he'd not seen her, and assumed maybe she was just in the girl's dormitories. Looking around he saw Kennedy and Dylan and a few others but really wasn't paying much attention.

After Isaac had gotten her seen too she'd gone to the Girls Dormitory to get changed. Much as she'd loved her outfit this morning by now she'd decided that it wasn't something she'd wear again. Well she'd wear the individual pieces again, but not wear them at the same time. Because that was just asking for bad luck.

Changed into ballet flats, tights a singlet top and an oversized cardigan Amelia made her way down to the Common room, hoping to see Isaac, and sighing in relief when she saw he was sitting near the fire.

"Are you sure you weren't hurt at all?" she asked as she made her way up behind Isaac, having spotted how he was moving his shoulder. To her it seemed that he may have actually done something to it and just been a boy about admitting he was injured. Which wouldn't really surprise her since he'd been all heroic on the station. And he'd carried her. Which if he'd injured his shoulder had probably been a really stupid thing to do.

"Hey!" he said grinning as he saw Amelia enter the room reaching his hand towards her, offering for her to sit on his lap like they'd done a few times if she wished. Quickly moving his shoulder like it was a normal movement and just relaxing it. Wrinkling his nose he realized she'd probably seen him stretching his shoulder when she spoke he shrugged biting back a wince. "Maybe a wee bit."

"I kind of had te force Ed through the 9 3/4 platform, 'cause he was afraid te go through the wall, and was refusing. So I umm...charged him when he wasn' expectin' it and got 'im through." Yep that was part of it, "But being thrown inte the side of the door as the train stopped kind of didn' help either." Yep, there he'd said it he'd gotten just a VERY tiny bit hurt. But hey he'd had worse right? Like when he'd been shove through the middle hoop during last terms first quidditch game. Or when he'd slid across the ice when he'd failed to catch the snitch?

Yep, much worse positions then he was in right then. "I think 'tis jus' bruised is all, with te crashes in the same spot." And carrying them hadn't been an issue whatsoever, he'd not even noticed his shoulder til later.

Faye sucessfully made it to the common room, but only getting lost twice. This whole being a first year and not knowing where she is going was getting old fast. She was crabby and tired now that she had finally found the common room.

Taking a seat in one of the empty chairs around the fire she took and seat and began to look around the common room to see what was all in it. It was great to be able to finally relax and get used to her home away from home.

Smiling warmly at Isaac as he made his non-verbal offer for her to use his lap as a seat, and not that she'd ever admit it out loud but when she was with Isaac her favourite spot would have to be his lap. Sitting down carefully she squirmed around a bit as she attempted to get into the perfect position. The one where she'd be comfortable, but also be able to look at Isaac as she spoke to him. The second being the more important requisite.

Once she stopped moving Amelia looked back up at Isaac, scanning his face to see if he was telling her the truth about his shoulder. Feeling satisfied that he was, or at least what he believed to be the truth she reached out a hand to gently rest on it.

"I could take a look at it if you want? To make sure it is only bruised. Because you could have pulled something," she offered, resisting the urge to just look at it whether Isaac was alright with it or not. Because she wouldn't invade his personal space, well she already had, several times without invitation in fact, but the point being she wasn't going to go pulling his shirt off in the common room so that she could take a look at his shoulder without having permission first.

"And even if it is just bruised you should probably ice it. Or are you meant to use a heat pack? Well either way you should probably do one of those things. Or use a salve.

"Ed? He's the guy with the girl you were helping, right?" Amelia asked, making sure she remembered correctly. Having not heard the name often, and being rubbish with names in any case, Amelia wanted to make sure she was on the right page.

:: Ganymede could tell when she was being ignored. This chick was a bit of a 'psuedocelebrity'.

So, Ganymede slicked her hair back and smiled. "It was awesome how you handled that situation during the Opening Feast. Slytherin never lost any points. You are like a hero." She was going to try being nice and a little flattery.

She nodded at the other Slytherin first year that just walked in. "Oh, Hi Faye. I'm Ganymede." Ganymede winked at her and gave a friendly smile. ::

And then she nocited the other girl, jeepers, she jumped in the conversation like she knew Faye, expect she didn't know her at all.

"Hi." was all she simply said to the new comer.

Grinning as she settled into his lap, he was thrilled that they could feel comfortable doing this. It had taken over a year, but it was nice to be able to relax with his girlfriend in the common room. Adjusting so they were both comfortable enough and able to see each other easily, he relaxed against the back of the chair again.

He nearly winced when she gently rested her hand on his shoulder. But was relieved to see it didn't hurt to the touch. At least not a gentle touch anyway. "How's yer ankle doing? And yer head?" he asked wanting to make sure she was doing better. UGH, what a way to appear at school! Thankfully it was their last year, he didn't want to go through something like that again!

"Do ye think it might look worse then it feels?" he asked curiously. He felt weird about taking his shirt off in the common room. ESPECIALLY with other girls around! "Mebbe I should go te the healer..." He wouldn't mind taking it off to show just Amelia but the entire common room? Oi, no thank you. "A heat pack...sounds nice, but I don' know which ye should use depending on the injury. Ice for a bruise but for a strain I don' know."

Nodding as she asked if Ed was the guy with Nell. "Yep, we met Nell in Flourish and Blotts in Diagon Alley a few weeks ago." A smile appeared on his face "Almost exactly where we met." he said wiggling his eyebrows at Amelia. "She and Ed hit it off right away."

Having taken the time to shrug off her heavy outer robes, Cass lounged by the fire in simply her blouse, a loose tie and her skirt as she fought the urge to close her eyes and to simply rest. She was just so tired, with the train incident and the chaos that was annually known as the start of term feast.

Just as she was about to drift off though, she heard someone walked towards the vacant armchair just across her beloved love seat and she cracked her eyes open to see who it was.

"Hey Fee!" the blonde said with a bright smile as she pushed herself up on a sitting position and straightened out her slightly rumpled uniform - she knew she shouldn't have been lazy and just changed into something else the minute she entered the common room! Speaking of changing, the girl glanced at the new outfit that Fee had now donned on and grinned "You sure change fast."

"My head's fine. The cut wasn't that deep, but head wounds always bleed quite a bit," she replied, wincing in memory of the blood that she'd gotten on her clothes from wiping her hands on them. Not her best idea ever. "And my ankle is as good as new. I'll probably be sticking to flats for awhile though," she admitted with a small frown.

While flats were definitely more practical she hated being short. With heels on she could at least seem to be a practical height. Plus, with heels on she didn't have to stand up on her tip-toes, and have Isaac bend down a lot, whenever they kissed. With flats that would be a problem. But at least she'd bought some really cute new ones during the Summer.

"Maybe you should go see her. She'll know what to do. And if it's not just a bruise, well who better to tell then her?" she really was worried now that she knew he'd hurt himself. He should be more careful, she thought as she moved her hand from his shoulder down to his chest, to rest above his heart.

Reminded of the fact that she hadn't seen him ALL Summer, and that part of the blame for that rested squarely on her head, she sighed a little sadly. She knew she should have gone to Diagon to get her books but when her parents had offered to get them when they were passing back through London she'd agreed. If she hadn't of she may have actually got to spend time with Isaac, and with his new friends. She probably would have had fun too.

"Well, Flourish and Blotts is the in place," she said mock seriously before breaking into giggles at his eyebrow waggle. He was too much sometimes, but it was why she loved him. Or at least one of the reasons that contributed to her love for him.

"You were really good on the platform you know? Helping people and all and keeping calm when everyone else was in seeming turmoil. I think you'll be a good auror," she told him honestly, leaning in to give him a gentle kiss.

Nodding, he made a face, "I hope I don' see ye like thet again. Thet was one of the worse things I could haf seen, was ye hurt like thet." Merlin and he'd left her! "And the worst thing I could haf done was leave ye like thet!" Hanging his head, he still was kicking himself for doing that! He knew Nell needed help more desperately but still! He felt miserable for leaving her like that, with her hurt ankle, and then finding out she'd been bleeding besides! ARGHH!

"Well I think ye look lovely no matter what yer wearing on yer feet." he said beaming at her as he lifted his head again. He didn't mind being taller. He was taller then practically everyone in the school at 6'5" tall! He kind of liked being taller then her though, it was nice to have her at the height she was sometimes, that was for sure!

Nodding, he made a face again. "Yeah, I s'pose I should go te the healer. He really didn't like the idea, 'cause he didn't care for healers much, but well, it was that or deal with carrying his bag on the other shoulder for classes and stuff. Which would be awkward considering he'd be using the shoulder he didn't usually carry it on. "Mebbe in the morning." he said nodding again. Yep put it off as long as possible!

Laughing softly he hugged her close. "Well 'tis certainly me favourite spot." Yep, after meeting Amelia there, it certainly was! Grinning he shrugged "I jus' wanted te help."

"Don't worry. You wont see me like that again," she said reassuringly. Because this was their final year, therefore she wouldn't be in any danger of being injured like that on the train again. Unless someone attacked them on the trip home. But that was unlikely. Most strange things tended to happen on the way to Hogwarts. Maybe that was why some parents didn't want their children to come? Meh.

"It's alright that you left me," Amelia lied. She didn't want him to feel bad about it, even if at the time she had wanted to hex him for it. But she wouldn't go around saying that. Which is why she made sure that her voice and the look on her face would be convincing. "Nell looked worse than me. From where I was it was obvious that she couldn't even really stay upright without help and she threw up. Obviously she hit her head hard," and at least that was the truth. The girl did look a lot worse than Amelia had, and she didn't know the extent of the other girls injuries but she could have been in a very bad way. Especially since she was lying on the platform. At least Amelia had been sitting up, and it was her choice to sit down in the first place. Mainly because looking down at her ankle had been making her feel dizzy, and in turn slightly nauseous. But sitting had definitely helped that, and she was sure it had more to do with shock and panic than anything else. Never mind that when she'd gotten up again she'd been unable to stand by herself... All that aside Amelia still hadn't been very impressed with Isaac and his chivalrous tendencies towards the other girl.

Although she didn't mind so much now. She was just put out. That and she knew she had a problem possessive streak, she was just happy that she could control it most of the time. At least in front of Isaac. Since it kinda made her act like a petulant child and that was the last thing she wanted him to see her as.

"Thanks," she said, giving him a happy smile. "But I kinda like higher shoes, even though they are impractical when it comes to school," she finished with a shrug.

"Definitely in the morning. I'll bind you and make you float along behind me if I have too," she threatened. And he should know that she was serious considering his 'initiation' from a few years ago. But even if she just ended up dragging him by the end to the healer she would make sure he saw her. Even if they had both probably sustained worse injuries through playing Quidditch before.

"C'mon Kat!" The seventeen-year-old called out as she bounded into the green and gray common room and made a beeline for the black loveseat by the green fire. "Glad to see the common room so quiet for once, isn't it?" She asked the younger blonde once she had settled into a comfortable position.

Kat sat down at the Common Room, tired from the night's feast (or whatever). Cass was right in front of her, chilling in front of the fire. Well, she can't blame the seventh year for relaxing once and a while.

Cass was right. The common room was strangely quiet. It was peaceful, and Kat half-thankful for that. Though it was really awkward because the Snakes are naturally boisterous and loud, no doubt. "For once, it is exceptionally quiet," the fourth year agreed.

"Wait," Kat looked back at Cass. "Are you trying out for Quidditch this year? Just curious. 'Cause I am... I'm nervous."

"Good!" Ugh, never again, he just never wanted to see her so hurt. It scared him! He didn't like seeing her in pain or injured like that! He'd seen enough injuries in his life. particularly one really bad one that he didn't talk about, that he swore now that he was almost a full wizard he'd do everything in his power to not see happen again.

Lifting his eyebrow, he wasn't sure he believed that. He knew he should believe her because she didn't lie often, and usually only to protect him. Which really bugged him at times. But he wondered if she was trying to keep him from feeling bad this time. "No 'tis not." he said softly, finding her hand and threading his fingers through hers. "Nell might have been worse, but I still don' think I should haf left ye." Nope, nothing could have changed his mind about that. "Yeah she had a concussion is what it appeared, she was talking on killing the pink princess who had stolen Ed away from her." Or something like that... "I came back as soon as Ed took her from me, but I still feel awful leaving ye especially after yer head was bleeding and ye couldn' even walk on thet ankle."

"It helps bein' not so much shorter then me then te, right?" hehe yep, he knew that part too. Though he still loved that she was shorter. "Ye look good in either ones, I still say. But wear what ye like most." Yep, whatever made her happy!

Laughing he shook his head "I could totally see ye doin' thet te." Yep, she could get him to do almost anything without trying though, just a kiss took care of that! But he'd be going willingly, cause he wanted to be on the quidditch team and if he didn't get this cared for soon, who knew what would happen with the shoulder injury!

Ignoring the girl who had showed up they continued their conversation. "You're just saying that to make me feel better aren't you?" Faye said to her, still holding her smile.

It felt good to have a friend that Faye's attidude had improved greatly.
"I'm nervous for lessons though, not sure if I"ll even been good at magic."
She nearly cried thinking of her wand upstairs and how she had nearly set her trunk on fire already.

"Theodore is not an idiot." she retorted. He was just excitable, and that made him fun, not an idiot. [b]"It's more idiotic to take a potion from someone who just offers it to you than to offer it. What if he'd been lying about what it was?"

Though it was funny... so maybe she giggled the tiniest bit. But then the girl called her Rora. You are so dead. she mouthed at him subtly, narrowing her eyes slightly.

"Can everyone just lay off Theodore?" she said suddenly, scowling a little. "I don't see why people have a problem with him." Honestly, he was a great little kid...

Ignoring her friends? Since when was she friends with Ariana-girl? She'd came and landed them in trouble in the feast. Well, they would have anyway butshe'd helped it. And then she'd cast a spell on her best friend Lex. She wasn't about to
get buddy-buddy with her! She rolled her eyes "How would you now anything about me and her? She hexed or jinxed or charmed or whatever my best friend so excuse me!" So it was probably a good idea to avoid her inless Seri wanted to get jinxed too. Actually, she broke a mirror last week, so she was already jinxed for seven years. Aha. Rora was off now. Whatever.

Oh yeah he hit a girl. Apparently West Odessa had no morals. And of course he would take orders for no-one. Bad Westie boy.

Yeah, he'd be Kennedy. But if she was ever Prefect or Head Girl, she was SO getting people to call her 'Prefect' or 'Head Girl' or preferably, 'Queen of Slytherin' or maybe 'Queen of Hogwarts'.. Hmm, she'd have to think about it, but she had a few years. Queen Serenity did have a nice ring to it. Queen Seri. Much better than 'Head Girl Wheeler' ick. She made a face. That just sounded weird.

Mhmm. Cue stare at Rora. If she didn't want to be called Rora then why would she tell some people to call her Rora, but not everyone? Way to confuse people huh? It wasn't even something embarassing. Seri didn't mind who called her what. Though she did like 'Queen Seri'. Yeah. That was never getting out of her head now.

Sure she'd make her family proud? OF COURSE she would. She was their ANGEL. She was already on their livingroom wall in a big print, like one great big shrine to HER. Well, her three brothers also had their pictures there, just CONSIDERABLY smaller pictures.

"So since you're Head Boy, you're like, the most IMPORTANT person in Slytherin right? Well, in the whole school except the Head Girl. And the teachers.." So many senior people huh? And Rora wasn't one of them. Yet. Hehe. And Kennedy didn't like Rora, at least she didn't think, so he would look after her right? And then Rora would have to be nice to her. HAHAHAH.

Dylan waved off the greeting and returned to his book. He was exhausted...but with all the activity in the room, there was no way he was going to bed yet.

Besides, interesting things were happening...

Like Kenny's subtle threat.

Eyeing him over the edge of his book, the Captain didn't comment. Really...if Escalante was smart...he wouldn't lay a finger on one of his teammate...

The boys were young. Obviously they didn't mean any real harm by their actions.

No one was gonna mess with Kinsley? Hah. Lex and Seri weren't afraid of a second-year. Cue laugh. If he messed with her *anymore* he was getting it. She wouldn't normally tell on another housemate, but Theo was the exception to the rule.

Who was this guy anyway? Something to do with Quidditch she supposed. Yeah, she might not try out for the team. 'Specially since West and Theo were clearly on it, and she wasn't sure she wanted balls being hit at her from the other team. Let alone her own. Hmmphh. Inflated head? More than it already was? Seri took a quick 360 degree walk around Kennedy. "I must conclude, that I think his head is of a rather normal size. If I were to inflate it, I would likely need to know some kind of a charm, and as I know no such charm, I might have trouble doing so." Seri shrugged. 'Twas true though, she hadn't learnt any magic, not even before school when Joey had tried to teach her 'lumos'. She almost doubted she was a witch, but she would keep practicing.

With the look Isaac gave her she knew he didn't fully believe her about it being okay, but there was nothing she could do about that. "Maybe, but who knows what might have happened to her if she stayed lying on the ground. As for my head... I couldn't even tell you if I hit it, let alone that it was bleeding. I wouldn't have even noticed that if it weren't for the fact that I touched it. And, well, I probably could have walked. It would have been painful but if I took my shoes off I would have been fine Isaac,"and she would have been too. Plus they could have been separated at any time. The injuries she sustained could have been received in any game or fall, and since neither of them knew what actually happened in the confusion he shouldn't blame himself for that.

"Well yeah. I also like being taller than a second year," some of them were seriously taller than she was and Amelia really didn't think it was fair. Of course being petite meant that she was light and could be rather flexible but she still didn't much like it. Then again if she was permanantly tall she probably wouldn't like that either. "I shall," she told him decisively, before snuggling closer to him. He was warm and comforting, which she could use right now. Honestly she felt tired, but spending time with Isaac was much more important. That and she was scared of having a nightmare. She knew it was stupid, but she still was.

"After your 'initiation' is there much you can't see me doing?" Amelia questioned, an amused smile curving her lips. She still couldn't believe he'd thought he was being punished!

Shrugging he knew what she was staying, he just felt guilty for leaving her. "Well apparently Nell and Ed are now a couple." he commented with a smile flickering on his lips. "He told me hisself tenight." He couldn't fault him for asking her out finally. He'd known Nell about as long as Isaac had known Amelia when he finally asked her out too! He was just glad Amelia's injuries had been fixed easily. It wouldn't stop bad memories but the pain from the injuries were at least gone.

Making a face he nodded "I understand thet." Squeezing her hand gently that his was in, "Though I kind of like ye short." Heh, he did! He liked how she fit against him just perfect, how easily he could lift her into his arms when he had to. Well, he'd only had to one time but he'd certainly enjoyed it when he thought about it later. Smiling at her words that she would. He was enjoying the moment of having her there in his arms, and really didn't want to even think about heading to the dormitories for bed.

Laughing softly he shook his head "Not te much." hehe nope, he just couldn't. He wouldn't put anything past her! "But thet's one reason I love ye so much." he said leaning forward and kissing her forehead. His thoughts were going back to what he was thinking about at the hot spring earlier. He had an entire year to think on it, but what would her reaction be if he ever did ask her?

Dungeon sweet dungeon! Asher was home. After a pretty good summer, he was ready to get back here and start his third year. He didn't realize just how much he missed being here.

He had made a promise to himself that he would try harder this term to make better grades. At some point over the summer he realized that he was growing up. Yeah he was only a third year and turning fourteen years old. But it was never to early to plan for this big boy stuff. And he had quidditch to get ready for.

Which that was the very first thing he did once he got back was to sign up for quidditch. He walked over and flopped down in HIS chair in the common room, and took out his copy of Quidditch through the ages. He needed to come up with his own official moves if he made the team.

In her bright mood as usual, Cassia entered the common room after having a tiny tour around the castle. She didn't cover all the places she had wanted to visit because she thought that doing it gradually would be better. She had missed the castle badly and she had planned a schedule to drop by all her favorite parts of the castle. Today she went to say hi to the moving stairs, one of her most favorite part of Hogwarts. :|

Though, she hoped to come across someone to chat with unfortunately that didn't happen. So where was the best place to definitely find people…it was with no doubt the common room. She stood like in the middle of the common room noticing that already a couple of students were here and headed to one of the chairs. As she sank down on it. She sighed and started fidgeting with the pin she had it on her shirt. But really she didn't come here to sit alone. To her right was a boy who was reading. Cassia hesitated wondering if she should bug the boy considering he was reading. But somehow she acted before finishing thinking! That always happened.

"I'd recommend you to read outside, the weather is awesome" She said suddenly. Honestly it wasn't winter yet it's too soon to stay indoors. Although she herself was in the castle. "Oh and HI," She flashed the boy a grin. Manners, she wouldn't forget that now that she is a second year and not a firste anymore.

"That's nice,"
Amelia said non-commitally. Not actually having met either of them she couldn't really be happy or anything for them. Well she could, but not to any proper degree.

"You do? Why do you like me being so short? she asked, slightly surprised that he liked her height. Well, she knew he couldn't have minded it because he liked her, and she was beautiful, but she never thought he'd like her being short. Although, they did fit rather well together. Which was nice, especially when they were sitting together like this.

Amelia smiled sweetly, blushing slightly as he kissed her forehead and said he loved her. She'd never tire of hearing him say that. "I love you too," she whispered, tucking her head under his chin and stifling a yawn. She felt completely content at this moment in time.

He was all O______O inside when she said that's nice. But he didn't say anything about it outloud, or even show any reaction to it on his face. He'd only said it because he knew she might very well be jealous that he'd gone to help Nell on the platform. And figured if she knew that Nell and Ed were taken, she might not be upset if she saw Isaac around Nell. Oh well, he wasn't going to say a word about it.

"I do." he said winking at her. "I love it, because ye fit perfectly with me. If ye were much taller, it probably would haf been difficult te lift ye when ye were hurt te." Yep, and he liked that he could lift her easily! "I'm like ridiculously tall, but I like ye the height ye are. If ye were taller I'd still like it, but yer perfect at the height ye are I think." Yep, and nothing was changing his mind on that!

Relaxing as she tucked her head under his chin, he smiled softly to himself. "I could stay like this all night if I knew I'd get any sleep." he said laughing quietly.

And he was winking again. She'd hoped he'd grown out of that. Much as she loved him it could look strange. Like on the day they met and he'd winked so much she thought he had something in his eye... Although, he did look cute when he did so. And it was kind of charming. In a way. But then Isaac was charming, so it wasn't really surprising.

"Honestly I'd be happy if I could have another 2 inches or something. At least then I'd be 5'6. If it weren't for magic I wouldn't be able to reach anything," which was true. She knew from having to jump to reach stuff in muggle supermarkets when she went out in flats. She'd had to do it in heels as well when she'd needed something on the top shelf. That hadn't been fun. "You are pretty tall, but I like that you're tall, and how well we fit together too," she admitted. She didn't really mind too much that she was so short, she just got frustrated occasionally. That and today everything that didn't go her way was getting on her nerves. Mainly because nothing had really been going her way all Summer. Hopefully this term things would go her way.

"Mmm. I could fall asleep too. Although sleeping in the common room probably isn't advisable, and it probably wouldn't do your shoulder any good," if they fell asleep he'd probably end up all stiff. And well, if Amelia fell asleep on him she wouldn't react kindly if he woke her up. Which he'd have to do. But she wasn't going to move just yet.

Theo had arrived. In the boring common room, but it was still home to the awesome people. And it meant no PUFFS or CLAWS or LIONS in sight. Result!

He pulled off his robe as he entered, and tossed it aside as he lounged on the sofa. Don't worry, guise, he'd pick that up right before going to bed. Oh, look, there was West. And Rora, and Captain Dylan... The usual awesome gang of Slytherin. But they were also accompanied by un-awesome people like Serenity and... that other girl, whose name he did not know.

They looked as if they were having a heated discussion.

...of which Theo was almost oblivious as to what it could be about.

So, he just watched them all closely... like a lion about to pounce. Only, he wasn't gonna pounce, he was just gonna stare and possibly creep 'em all out a bit.

And he'd hate to be the bad cop here, but Kennedy had standards...rules...whatever, he was Prefect and Head Boy. "I better not find out you hit another girl," he said, raising an eyebrow at him.

Don't challenge him, kiddo.

"That's not a girl." West responded, "That is a first year. And she's mean to Theo and nobody should be mean like that and she called me names She's not very respectful." And someone needed to teach her a lesson. West was NOT sorry. If she said sorry and left Theo alone, then West would not thump her ever and share his chocolate. He was nice like that, but also he was fair. And also she was a brat.

And Rora wasn't one of them. Yet. Hehe. And Kennedy didn't like Rora, at least she didn't think, so he would look after her right? And then Rora would have to be nice to her. HAHAHAH.

West, hearing this, privately disagreed. He thought that Sierra was the boss. Because she could tell Kennedy what to do, obviously, and because she was the Minister's daughter. And because of Lafay. So that meant Sierra was the boss.

"Not all girls are like these ones." His tone wasn't too convincing on that point.

"Okay." West was easy when it came to Quidditch stuff. Happy to go with the flow. But Aspen stuff not so much. "No. Aspen only cares about ME." He nodded. Nodnodnodded.

... right?

Aspen didn't have boyfriends!

Speaking of THEO!

West had things to TELL but he couldn't with all these people here. He would say things later and maybe see if Theo could help him with the mysterious TRUNK.

All he knew about it was that it contained something profitable and that Lainey had tried to bribe him to tell things about some bat called Mortimer.

If it was Egbert, West could have helped.

He stroked his chin thoughtfully.

Asher who was just now aware of the nice discussion out his book down. He watched and then he noticed that there was another Slytherin watching the same thing he was. He slid over to and stood next the Theo.

"This seems interesting doesn't it?" He asked talking out of the corner of his mouth and rocked on his heels, excitely.

Asher was reading about Bludger Backbeat, when he heard a girls voice blurting out a recommention on where would be a nice place to go reading, He looked up from his book and at the girl. He nodded. "Yeah, I know. But their is nothing as confty as this chair out there."

There was a short silence in which he went back to his book he finished the last sentence and spoke again. "Hey." He replied back. "whatcha doing?"

"I know, but that really only works when we're together," Amelia said, smile bright, but tone slightly sad at the end. The end of this year so needed to be better than the Summer that just passed. If she didn't see him she'd scream, probably at Isaac through a Howler. She should have sent him one this Summer, if he got that at least then he'd have known that he was meant to have come over, and hopefully done so once he escaped his parents. Oh well.

Moving her hand from his chest she twined her fingers with his as she listened to the steady rhythm of his heart. It was soothing to listen too while paying attention to the ruckus that other students were causing, some of them being their el capitano and West. It was interesting to hear what they were talking about, but she kept the majority of her attention on her boyfriend.

"Yeah...Don't worry though, I wont fall asleep on you tonight. Maybe some other time when it's not imperative that I not take a nap," maybe when she was meant to be studying or something. Although Isaac would likely disapprove if she did that. What she really needed was to study more to get better grades. But then, she wanted to go into fashion, that didn't require the same education as being an Auror did. She did find Isaac's dedication to education admirable though.

Cassia watched what was happening around the common room. There were Serenity ,the head boy, the new captain and a couple of others whom Cassia didn't really know. She nodded at them anyway. That's what older people do right? They nod or something. Usually Cassia doesn't nod but they seemed to be pretty busy fighting talking with each other so she wasn't going to interrupt that.

And Theo was here too. He was..staring? Cassia guessed it had something to do with what happened at the feast. Or maybe it had something more to it.

West was there too. Cassia waved back at him with a smile. He was pretty much busy debating or defending something or someone.

There was a short silence in which he went back to his book he finished the last sentence and spoke again. "Hey." He replied back. "whatcha doing?"

The boy had a point. Cassia nodded at that. "I guess that is true, the chairs here are awesome," Everything about their common room was awesome in fact not just the chairs. And what was she doing? Mmmm...being nosy and wandering around for no reason. Nah..she wasn't going to say that. "Nothing," She shrugged. "Just relaxing ," Not like she had anything to do.

__
Actually she came here to relax and chill out only to find that her house mates were having strong discussions. She headed to a further chair and sank down on it. Might as well she entertain herself while watching the show. She pushed her hand into her pocket and retrieved an object she keeps in case she suddenly got bored. Which happens a lot. Fiddling with her rubber Snake she sat there feeling that she was getting far too relaxed that she might just fall asleep. Maybe she'll go to the dormitories when she starts to feel weaker.

The blonde was just about to take her new fashion magazine out and relax a little bit, getting the newest information about trends as she heard someone say her name.A very well known someone.Oh yes, bestie time.

"Hello there Mrs. Prewett",
Fee giggled," got stuck with the dessert ?" Everyone knew how dessert was the best of the whole meal. And noodles of course. But that was just Fee's opinion, when it came to dessert though..hehe. Putting her fashion magazine back into her bag beside the armchair the Slytherin snuggled into it and pulled her legs closer to her body. Now that was cozy.

Looking down at herself she couldnt help but laugh."You know it got a bit cold just in a sparkly tank top", the girl noded," so i decided on this."She loved that jumper, hearts and dots. They were her thing. Smiling at her best friend who seemed pretty tired, the seveth year added. "you look well fine too though." Cass always looked good no matter what she was wearing.Besides that it ha been a long eventful day, no wonder everyone was tired.

Oh Merlin Delilah better not be in the dorms...

Kennedy pursed his lips together to keep from showing off an amused smirk. He knew he had annoyed and...that was the point actually. To annoy her. Hehe. He was more upset that Sebastian left him to go with her. What happened to guys stick together?

Well...that was a cat, so it didn't quite fit. Meh.

Kennedy shrugged and turned back to his so-far-favorite-firstie...

HAHAHAH.

Kennedy chuckled at Seri's statement and shook his head. "Nah, I wouldn't say most important person." Nope, that'd be someone else, hehe. "I'd say..." he tapped his finger on his chin, "...I'm one of the students with the most authority, along with the Head Girl, of course." THAT was true, but he wasn't going to start showing off.

It just wasn't his style.

[...]

Most important Slytherin...

Pfft.

"Don't inflate his head anymore than it already is, kid."

Kenny-do was going to be hard to live with as it was.

He caught that. Kennedy shrugged at Dylan. He didn't care, really. He was in charge of the entire Slytherin population which meant he'd take care of every single one of them. Even if that meant defending them against each other. Plus, there were principals to be followed, or was he the only one who respected females?

... Now with the comments.

Kennedy turned back to Dylan. "Take a chill pill, Montmorency." The kid seem grumpy most of the time. That and he didn't know Kennedy personally to know if his head was inflated, which...

... It sort of...kind of...maybe a little bit...was.

And he had the right to be. Kennedy worked hard for his badge.

He was nice like that, but also he was fair. And also she was a brat.

That's not a girl?

Kennedy rolled his eyes and shook his head, but he also had to remind himself he was dealing with a kid. "Anatomically she's a girl, West," Kennedy said. "And if you must, defend yourself with words. Not hitting girls." Or, if he wanted to be more creative, West could cast Glisseo under her feet and cause her to slip or something. There were many, many creative ways to get back at someone without hitting them.

He knew that from personal experience after getting into a few fist fights himself.

--

Either way, Kennedy was tiiired. He glanced over at the fire, spotting a few students sitting in front of it, and yawned. He wanted to get some reading before he actually doze off.

Standing up, both books in hand, he waved at his house mates. "I'm turning in now, see you all later," and with that, he made it toward the boy's dorms. Hopefully there he'd get some peace and quiet to read.

The common room, Terry admitted, wasn't the cosiest. It was large and underground and that seemed to change the atmosphere of the whole room. He imagined it to be small and comfortable but it didn't live up to his expectations.

That wasn't to say that he didn't like it. The big window you could see the Lake out of fascinated him. Once he had spoken the password and entered into the room, he headed straight for the chair that was closest to the window. He liked to sit there and look out for what magical creatures swam in the waters depths. He hoped that one day he'd be able to see the Giant Squid but for now all he spotted was the occasional darting movement and silver slither that swam away from the window into the dark abyss. He found it relaxing and although the Common Room wouldn't be other peoples ideal place for calm and serenity, he enjoyed it very much.

It did make him think though, that perhaps another house would've been more suited to him but he didn't ever mention it out loud, the hat had placed him here and so here is where he belonged. No matter who or what told him otherwise.

Pop!

Tinka appeared suddenly in the Slytherin Common Room, left hand holding a bottle of cleaner and right hand holding a rag. "Oh, Tinka no like cleaning here. Tinka think the lake gonna bust in and drownded her." Fumbling for the rag, she set to work removing debris from the tables before beginning to polish them. "Studentsies need extra shiny tables. Studentsies have lotsa work to do here!"

Cassia grinned warmly and stepped closer to the cute little creature, "Hi Tinka!" She said sitting near her. "How're you?" She asked knowing that she probably won't answer.

Listening to what the house-elf was murmuring," Oh don't worry about the lake." Cassia assured her. "No one had drowned on their in so many years." She assured her. "And I can swim so I could rescue you." Ehh...probably she wasn't really helping by telling the creature this. "Ermm....I mean just don't think about it." GRIN. The small elf jumped when a studentsie addressed her. "Oh Missus," she squeaked, still nervous. "Tinka is better than Tinka deserves. Tinka has hundreds of studentsies to look after!"

The lake? Why was missus talking about the lake? The elf's ears stood straight up in fear. Arms flapping, she squeaked out, "Missus no talk about the lake! Tinka a good elf, Tinka come and clean the common room even though she afraid!" The elf didn't hear anything else the studentsie said, because her flapping hands clamped over her ears, shutting out all sound.

Obviously Cassia had frightened the elf by mentioning the lake. Though she wasn't intending to. Cassia hated how her mouth always causes problems. "I'm sorry I frightened you,"Cassia apologized. "And yup you are totally a good elf and thanks." Mmm...will that calm the creature down? Hopefully yes.

In order not to cause more awkward situations, Cassia walked back to her chair and slumped into it. Better leave the elf to her work instead of saying another thing that might freak her out. That's what you get for being social.

Ok one new thing learnt in the second year; house elves just don't get what you say sometimes. Cassia sat on her chair searching for words to try reasoning with the little creature. She sighed and sat on the floor near the creature, "Missus Cassia doesn't care about those words. Missus Cassia only cares about Tinka because Tinak is a good elf ," Cassia explained flailing with her hands in the air. Would that sink in? You know Cassia didn't have any else ideas to reason with Tinka but she'll try her best.

At the mention of the whisk ,Cassia nodded encouragingly," Yes, yes Tinka uses the whisky very well and she makes delicious food, missus Cassia likes Tinka food." Cassia said feeling stupid but then again she almost always felt that way. At least it was for a good cause right?

Cass was right. The common room was strangely quiet. It was peaceful, and Kat half-thankful for that. Though it was really awkward because the Snakes are naturally boisterous and loud, no doubt. "For once, it is exceptionally quiet," the fourth year agreed.

"Wait," Kat looked back at Cass. "Are you trying out for Quidditch this year? Just curious. 'Cause I am... I'm nervous."

Just as the older girl was about to agree, the common room entrance opened, letting in a crowd of Slytherins, all coming back from wherever they were for the rest of the day - classes, the grounds and what not. "I guess we spoke too soon." The seventh year said with a grin, laughing at their slight bad luck - or maybe it was just really awful timing.

At the next question, Cass arched an eyebrow at the girl lazily before shaking her head "No, I'm more of the moral support kind of girl." She said with a laugh "Although, if you were going to try out - I'd totally support you." Wait, were they still holding tryouts for the team? She saw the sign on the notice board some time ago, but she didn't really pay much attention to it.

Mrs. Prewett? Woah. No. That was her grandmum.

"Its just Miss Prewett, darling." Cass corrected her bestie with a teasing smile "We may be seventeen, but I'm not looking forward to turning into a missus just yet." But then the girl pursed her lips for a moment, considering a thought that suddenly flew into her head "Unless of course its Mrs. James or something - but that's highly unlikely." She said with a laugh, her cheeks turning a bit pink at the thought of Christopher James - who by the way, she hasn't seen since forever. "You on the other hand, you could be -with you and Hugo still together since second year!" Wait, were they even still together? She wasn't sure, she couldn't remember the last time she asked about Fee's Ravenclaw boyfriend.

"Yes, dessert was awful!" The girl groaned "and yet, so wonderful at the same time!" She couldn't stop eating - but she had to if she wanted to get first dibs on her couch this year.

Cass then laughed as she rolled her eyes playfully "I figured - a tank top isn't necessarily something that could keep you warm down here in the drafty dungeons." After all, they were under the lake for Merlin's sake! It was bound to be a little chilly. "Its a really pretty sweater." She said with a smile "Where'd you get it?"

At the compliment, the blonde smiled shyly and said "Thanks, but I'm pretty sure you look waaaaay better."

Kat almost groaned when a number of blasting Slytherin came to the Common Room and started chit chatting like endless parrots. God, when will the Slytherins miraculously shut up. Never. Cause Slytherins are loud loud loud loud. Just like you, a tiny voice said. Ohhh... shut up.

ooc: Tryouts' finished. :whaa: hehehe. so I'll pretend like you were there supporting me like whoa

The fourth year nodded. "Thanks for supporting me though." Kat smiled. "You're one awesome honorary sister."

"That's what honorary sisters are supposed to do." The older snake answered with an indulgent smile.

The girl then leaned her head back against the arm of the couch and lifted her long legs to drape them over the other end before glancing back at Kat "So, what have you been doing these past few days?" She asked with a smile "Honorary big sisters are supposed to know these things!" But honestly, between her NEWT level classes and other things, she really didn't have enough time, even with all the free periods that her schedule had.

The house elf Tinka and Open to anyone ;)

It was time to relax and maybe have some fun. So taking his guitar from his trunk in the dorms, Richard Turner walked into the common room and stood at the way a bit only to have a proper look inside. There were people, of course, and he preferred to be alone when he was working on his music but this time the presence of people was not disturbing him. Maybe because they were the people of his own house. He moved after eyeing each of them having chosen a comfortable looking armchair by the fireplace.

Feeling all content, he made himself comfortable in the armchair and put his guitar in the right position. His gray eyes stared at it a bit admiring the musical instrument. Then he closed his eyes and started to play a soft melody. He just played the melody for a moment or so before starting singing.

''Oh, it was a dark chilly night
When i got struck by your charm
Please come to me i mean no harm
It is her ice cold heart i have to fight
But what if i lose my heart to her?
I would be left alone in the cold
With nothing in my sight...''

But then...he stopped suddenly. There was something that irritated him. His gray eyes opened and searched the place quickly. His gaze turned into a glare when his eyes found the house elf. ''You!'' he said coldly ''You! Creature!''
