Default Meet 'n Greet Truebridge

Bunz? Where is she you might ask?

To the far end of the hall is a big, comfy looking, bright pink throne that has been set aside for your beautiful and magnificent Headmistress Truebridge. The only colour you see is pink, and if you didn’t know your Headmistress loved this colour, then now you clearly should.

In front of the throne is a pink carpet that is decorated with sparkling glitter. This is for all you students to line up upon. To the left of the throne is a mini, pink Christmas tree with a small sign beside it saying ‘Presents Here’. On the right side of the throne is a pink closed box, with a small opening. Besides this box there is another sign, this one saying ‘Letters Here’.

Your Headmistress is now taking the time to get to know you all a little better. She is seated in her pink throne and is waiting for all of you to come by and say hi. Just one more thing, please: do not hover over her, there is a reason why you are supposed to all line up. Otherwise make sure to be polite and no jumping the queue.

Wow, Truebridge didn't do things half-heartedly.

Everything was pink. It was blinding her eyes....but she LOVED it. Jen wanted to squeal in excitment. But no, it was a serious time. She was going to suck up to the head. And apparently her t-shirt was a good choice, what with the lady's obvious favorite colour and everything.

She put her large present (a giant pink teddy with "Best Headmistress" on it's lovely pink dress, wrapped in fine pink wrapping paper with a big pink bow) under the tree and her long letter in the box. Then Jennifer smirked and went to stand in the line to meet the woman.

"You know," she thought about a way to phrase this, "having been a recent visitor to Professor Lafay's office, I can CERTAINLY see where you're coming from with this request. I don't think we need to ask Lafay's permission to replace the chairs, however."

She winked at the girl. "I think we could simply use a bit of magic on those ugly, uncomfortable chairs, no? And we could give her a sample of what it feels like to sit on something so ugly and uncomfortable by transforming HER desk chair. What do you two say?"

Her eyes flicked toward Lex, briefly, because she had an inkling of what SHE would say....
When she started to say something Seri was worried she was infact BFF's with Lafay, but she was OH SO TERRIBLY HAPPY when she agreed... OH THIS WOULD BE GOOD.

The Professor would hate her but she couldn't do anything because they had tw Headmistress on their side. HEEHEH.

Wait- TRANSFORM LAFAY'S CHAIR?

Hahhahahahahahah.

Merlin this would be hilarious. OH GOOD MERLIN.

Seri smiled back at the Headmistress, and decided that she liked her. Finally they all agreed that the Potions mistress should learn to be nice. Seri had been in her office twice so far and been shouted at on both occasions, and she was in her house! So what was it like if you weren't a Slytherin?!

No matter how pretty it looked, at the end of the day it was still just as flammable as anyone else's.

"Fine. I won't touch it, jeez." No need to start freaking out over a simple question.

Her mood started sinking even faster. Just to recap, she didn't want her writing her a letter, she didn't want her touching her hair and now she didn't even want the cookies that others had worked so hard she had worked so hard to bake. POUT. From the corner of her eyes she saw Seri giving her a weird look. She thought to ask her about it but then the girl started going on about those uncomfy chairs in Professor Lafay's office.

Wait--EEEWWWWWWW! She was agreeing with the Headmistress on the pink idea! Ick! Gross! Disgusting! Why would anyone want anything in PINK?! What stunned her even more was that the woman actually agreed!--No...she did more than that! The cheer came back to Lex's face as she listened to whatever it was the Headmistress was saying. By the time she was done Lex was grinning from ear to ear.

"Neat! Sounds fun--I'm definitely in!" As if she would pass this up. No way. Not when the Headmistress was the one giving the offer. Talk about a get out of jail free card. Mischief was her calling; she couldn't help it.
OH SERI WAS IN LOOOOVE. At first Lex gave her a funny look, and then she bothered to listen.

"Well Headmistress, I think we both agree to whatever plans you may have.. I think action should be taken." Seri said, struggling to keep a serious voice, but she wasn't laughing yet. She didn't know what the Headmistress had planned, but it HAD to be good. Thank Merlin the Headmistress didn't like Professor Lafay either.

Seri wondered if she should bring up the use of a whole cupful per student of animal blood in a lesson, or maybe the fact their dear Professor had neglected to offer her a beverage, as was customary.

By the time Eliza got to the meet and greet, the line wasn't all that long. She'd spent a decent amount of time chatting in the seating area, so a lot of students had already come and gone from this area. As she stood on the sparkling carpet, waiting her turn, she wondered what she was even going to ask her. She had told Daichi she would meet the Headmistress and try to get a read on her. He said that she'd been rather rude to him, but Eliza thought that seemed odd. She wasn't sure why the woman would become the Headmistress at all if she weren't equipped and happy to deal with children. She thought something else must have happened in their exchange that made her snap at him. All I can do is be myself and see what I think, she thought. Her thoughts still hung on the missing brooch and why it was so important to Truebridge. Does it have powers? she wondered. She doubted she could just come out and ask that though. She thought anyone who was that desperate for an item back had more reason than just "missing" it, for a castle wide search launch. Hmmm...tread carefully, she warned herself.

In the middle of her pondering, the few students in front of her cleared away, meaning it was her turn to speak. Oh gosh... She was a little nervous now. Not because she was speaking to the Headmistress, but because she wanted information and wasn't quite sure how to get it.

She approached the pink throne, which was all a bit much for her taste. She seriously hoped the woman hadn't dictated this set up for herself, because if she had it would be not just completely self-absorbed, but just plain weird too. She shrugged off the thought and introduced herself in a polite and friendly voice. "Hello Headmistress Truebridge," She thought about holding her hand out for her to shake it, but it seemed like a rather business like thing to do so she sort of half bow/nodded instead. "I'm Eliza Dawnsel." She starting clawing at the edges of her mind for something to ask her when the idea came to her, "I was wondering... Do you travel often? You know, go to beautiful, exciting new places?" She smiled, pleasantly surprised with her quick thinking. To be even more personable she added, "I would love to! But there are so many places I'm not sure where I'd go first." If she could get her to talk about her travels, maybe she could find more out about this special brooch.

How was she to know the Hogsmeade event had been a long, long time ago?
Sierra wouldn't know anything about being one of Truebridge's best students. She'd only ever known her as a Headmistress, and to be quite honest, the woman was slightly terrifying. Not that Sierra was afraid of her, really, it's just...the woman had power, and she knew how to use it.

Oh? She didn't recall the details?! PERFECT. ...but then, Sierra's face just sort of fell when the woman mentioned her walking away in tears. WHAT?! This woman was the Headmistress! Shouldn't she be pretending as if she never even heard that horrifying little detail?! Sierra's facial expression tightened, and she really wanted to just turn on her heels and storm off. "I see," though, was all she said.

That is, until her mother was brought into the conversation. How? ... Why? Didn't she realize how painful it was? Sierra swallowed a little limp in her throat then shook her head. "Better," she said, trying to convince herself of that, as well. "She should be good as new in no time." Or, that's what Sierra had been telling herself.

"Well, thank you for your time, Headmistress," she said. "I see you have a long line behind me."

She got her head chopped off.

Resident Ghost of Ravenclaw | Intelligent & Evasive

The Grey Lady floated through the walls on a mission. She flipped her head back and forth looking for the Headmistress. She glanced behind her to see if the other ghosts had joined her...well more like...kept up with her. She was on a mission and that lil entity was going to regret messing with her precious Ravvies.

Spotting the Headmistress, she quickly floated towards her direction and without even waiting for a lull in the conversation, she floated through the students surrounding the pretty lady and hovered right in front of the woman.

"I'm very sorry to interrupt your moment, but the ghosts have an issue that we would like to discuss with you..." she said as she glanced around to all of the faces, "possibly out of the ear shot of the lovely students..." yes because she couldn't be trusted not to say mean and rude things about the entity causing all of the problems...

"So here's the plan," she leaned toward them, dropping her voice to a low, dark whisper and beckoning the girls closer. The Headmistress sketched it out in a soft but excited tone, making certain that they would all escape the scene of the prank scot free.

When she was finished, she straightened back up and gave both girls a knowing nod. "Think you can handle that?"

Aww look at that, another little Slytherin with a little present... which actually looked to be larger than she was!

"Come on up, dear," the redhead called out to her, signalling forward with a grand wave of her hand. "And lovely shirt, by the way! That color looks GREAT on you!" Who didn't look good in pink though!

"Hello, Miss.....Dawnsel," Truebridge picked up on the name with a polite nod, her nod warming into a smile when she saw the girl's curtsy. How proper! Anastasia certainly was sitting on a throne; no point in NOT being treated like a queen!

And then the questions came, although these ones seemed harmless enough, at least. "I DO travel often, and ALWAYS to beautiful, exciting new places!" she gushed to the girl. "Have you ever been to... Napal? Peru? Romania? Egypt?" Those were just a few of her favorites. "I got married in Napal, you know...." She wouldn't trade her mountain-top wedding for the WORLD, either.

"I'm sure she will be," the redhead responded sarcastically warmly. "I'm sure she will be. Ta ta to you then, Sierra!" Whatever! Ha! Bunz had won THIS encounter for Tori!

The redhead's eyes narrowed IMMEDIATELY as that uppity Ravenclaw skipped away. She had her wand halfway to her hand before she remembered that she wasn't supposed to cast on students... when their backs were to her.

Ah, such a shame. "Don't suppose Ravenclaw will notice what a clash you are with house points, though," she voiced aloud, talking more to herself than to the snob girl who knew NOTHING about colors. "Fifteen points for your rudeness." To start.

Know what, why stop there? Why not go AFTER the girl and MAKE her apologize?!

Anastasia was halfway out of her chair to chase after the Elliot girl when she was suddenly accosted by a floating apparation. She let out a soft scream before abruptly clapping her own hand across her mouth in recognition.

Oh thank Merlin, thank MERLIN it was just the Grey Lady and not something else!

The redhead felt her knees buckle under her as she sank back into her throne, without much choice of anywhere ELSE to go. "Yyyyes, ma'am...I... just tell me here?"

She at least had enough sense to cast a Muffliato around, not that many students were still in line anymore anyway...

It sounded devious enough to work... It also helped that it didn't sound like there was anyway they could get caught. Though seeing as it was the Headmistress who was giving them these instructions, did it really matter? She was the one who threatened to expel her for acting up but at the moment she was encouraging it! What more did she need? Nooothing.

"Pssh, of course we can handle that. Piece 'a cake." After all she'd done already this didn't seem nearly as difficult. GRIN.

This was going to be very...interesting...

Default Grey Lady + Headmisses...
Resident Ghost of Gryffindor | Chivilrous & Sociable

Sir Nicholas was fast, but evidently not as fast as the Grey Lady. Floating into the Great Hall he saw her already hovering in front of the new Headmistress.

With his eyes fixed on the throne Sir Nicholas floated through a number of student's on his way, not stopping to check if they were discomfited or not.

Floating up next to the Grey Lady he fired of a warm beam in Headmistress Truebridge direction who looked sort of shell-shocked. Had the Grey Lady scared her?

He exchanged a brief glance with his dear old friend before saying earnestly to the Headmistress. "All the students have been evicted from their common rooms and can't get back in." And the Baron thinks that its Peeves work. Sir Nicholas didn't utter that suspicion though.

The primary concern was to find a suitable place for his precious lion cubs to sleep for the night. After that was sorted they could discuss possible culprits.

The Grey Lady glanced at the Headmistress as she acted startled...did the ghost look that horrid tonite...she glanced around looking for something shiny to check her reflection in, but then was interrupted by Sir Nicholas. She focused instantly back in on the task at hand making a mental note to check herself later on.

She shook her head up and down in agreement with the Gryffindor ghost. "Yes, and we think Peeves might have had a hand in it...it just screams his handy work..." she said the statement with pure distaste...she did not understand that creature at all.

Forget moving to somewhere out of earshot. Annie frowned and tapped her fingernails on her throne. "What am I to do about it? Are you sure ALL students have been locked out?" That seemed a bit unlikely, and Annie wasn't sure she could trust a ghost's word anyway.

"Let's just see what the Heads of House think of this all...." she murmured, flicking her wand into her hand and sending four roaring Nundu patronuses off to the various offices of her Heads of House.

In the meanwhile... "Tell me more about this lockout," she murmured toward the ghosts, trying not to shiver too visibly. Her encounter with the Spector had certainly left her scarred. "What makes you think it's Peeves' fault?"

Fat Friar
Default Headmistress, Grey Lady & Nearly Headless Nick
Resident Ghost of Hufflepuff | Friendly & Cheerful

Acting in a totally non suspicious way, the Friar made his entrance into the Great Hall, waving at the children as he passed them, floating over to where the Grey Lady and Sir Nicholas had cornered the Headmistress. They were still so much faster than he was.

But he did manage to catch the part where the woman questioned the information being given to her. "ALL of them!" he said, floating into view and answering her question but trying not to be too loud. An achievement for him it must be said.

The Friar was usually a jolly chap, but Peeves was the one thing that could get on his transparent nerves. "I heard talk of them being thrown out first. THROWN OUT. Surely that has to be Peeves?"

New tablecloths, dish towels, and potato sacks to wear, maybe. Yes, yes that's what they needed. Anyway, the gift... she gasped as soon as she spotted the cookies, and it was a happy gasp too.

"Ohhhhhhhh!" the redhead breathed, picking up cookies and looking at the ones below it. They were all so DIFFERENT, and beautiful, and PINK! "I LOVE them," she gushed, breaking off the pink heel of one and bringing it to her mouth for a munchmunchmunch.

"Mmmmmmmmmm!" Delicious, too!
Holding her breath, Kurumi waited and watched as the Headmistress opened the box and examined her and the house elves' handy work. The Gryffindor's lips curled into a smile when she saw the woman's reaction and her posture relaxed just a little. "I'm glad you like them, Headmistress," she beamed, bowing her head again politely. "The house elves told me how much you liked pink which is why I went for a pink theme with the icing." They had actually said that the woman's entire office was pink - something that Kurumi had yet to see actually.

Just as Kurumi was about to speak more, the house ghosts appeared - and quite suddenly as well. Eyes widened just a bit, Kurumi figured now was a good a time as ever to take her leave. "G-Good evening," she greeted each of them (Sir Nicholas got an especially wide smile though) and then turned her attention back to the Headmistress. "I should be getting back to the ovens. I'll be sure to let the house elves know that you liked the cookies."

And with one more small bow she was off and making her way back towards the strong scent of gingerbread and Lewis.

When the ghoses entered the pink stage, Olivia listened to their news. She had not been in he common room when the students were thrown out. Now, she was deffinatly heading to the kitchen soon to see if the house elves knew anything. It couldn't be a ghost that stole the brooch could it? She would then ask some of the ghosts and maybe portraits about what else was going on in this crazy school.

She turned back to the woman with her eyes wide...did the Headmistress think they were lying or making this up...ghosts don't lie...she glanced at the other two ghosts...well she didn't lie....alot...and definitely not about something like this...her little Ravvies were literally out in the cold right now....the cold of the stairways...

She crossed her arms over her front and cocked her head to the left a little bit, "Yes, all of the houses are locked out..." she said reiterating what the Friar had said. "All I know is that the Ravvies were literally thrown out of their Common Room completely unexpected and Professor Cerulean is up there trying to figure out the cause..." she paused for a moment to let that sink in.

"Well, this just sounds like a prank that Peeves would orchestrate to get attention from us all...I saw we put him in a barrel and salt him to trap him for a little bit...maybe that will convince him to unlock everything..." she said still with her arms crossed...why this Peeves character hadn't been exorcised years ago she would never understand...

Anastasia could see that her little conversational daggers had dug deep into Sierra's back, and she felt a warm rush of evil glee seep into her dark soul for saying them. Ah, how good it felt to be herself mean!

"Thrown out?" Anastasia echoed the Fat Friar with a frown. Her focus on the lockout had her forgetting her fear of ghosts, temporarily, and she was able to stand up from her throne and start pacing in front of it. "I don't know if Peeves of capable of producing the kind of magic that requires this supposed eviction."

Because no, she still hadn't heard from her staffers whether this was legitimate or not. She raised her eyebrows at the Grey Lady and held up her hands in a shrug. "That's fine by me. Trap Peeves if you want. Get him to confess. See if that solves anything. In the meantime... I'm going to be down here, trying to arrange sleeping quarters for the students in case your 'barrel of salt' trick doesn't work."

She gave the ghosts a swift nod and headed down the stairs of her throne, to the few students that were still waiting.

"Clear out, everyone, let's go! We need this space for something, I'm sorry, sad to say, but return to Common Rooms..." or their entrances.... "if you can, please. The event is OVER."

"Excellent." The redhead clapped her hands and smiled evilly at the two girls. "Rest assured that I will be in contact, children. For now, return to your common rooms, please. The event is over."

Sierra hated this feeling she suddenly felt. The Headmistress hated her. An adult at her school literally hated her. She wasn't sure if this was the exact feeling the Headmistress had, but...it sure didn't seem like 'love' or 'like'. For a Slytherin, this was failure. All Sierra could really do was nod in return. She wanted to say so much, but would the words really do any good? "Bye, Headmistress," she said, and then turned to walk away.

She didn't get far before a silvery patronus floated her way. So the event was over. Sierra sighed to herself, feeling sort of...well, down a little now. She looked out over the room then walked off, ready to help her co-prefects clean the area.

Yes, she was talking about the lockout.
A PAT! Kurumi had just received a pat on the shoulder from the Headmistress! The seventh year was a bit startled by the gesture to be honest - especially since the woman had given her a fair share of strange looks thus far - but it was welcomed nonetheless.

She nodded at the woman's request just as she sent her patronus off to alert the others. Oh! A nundu!? Kurumi really wanted to comment on the woman's patronus form, but now was obviously not the time. "Of course, I'll get the house elves and some students to help clean up the baking area right away."

Cue a rather obvious frown. Her dream had come true of hosting a baking activity with the house elves and it was being cut short...

REALLY leaving this time, Kurumi passed Sierra and simply gave the girl - her friend? - a nod as the two went off to start moving and escorting people out of the Great Hall.

Default Exit Sir Nicholas..
Resident Ghost of Gryffindor | Chivilrous & Sociable

Sir Nicholas kept hovering silently in front of the headmistress as the Friar and Grey Lady in turn explained the locked out situation.

He was surprised and stunned when the Headmistress actually APPROVED of the Grey Lady's idea of trapping Peeves in salt barrel until he confessed and revealed how they could unlock the cr.

When the Headmistress began ordering the student's back to their common rooms Sir Nicholas said to the Friar and Grey Lady. "Let's go see if we can trap Peeves, shall we? Friar can you fetch a barrel from the kitches?"

Floating out of the Great Hall Sir Nicholas had a bad feeling that trapping Peeves would backfire but maybe with the Baron's help it'd be a success.

Goodness they needed answers or the students would be out somewhere to sleep and the day wasn't getting any younger.

Resident Ghost of Hufflepuff | Friendly & Cheerful

A salt barrel? Goodness that was...drastic. And coming from such a lady as well. The Friar almost gaped at her when she suggested it, but his attention was instead caught by the Headmistress who suddenly started shouting at the children to clear the hall. She was louder than him, but yes good.

Floating on the spot, the Friar spun around when Sir Nicholas called his name. "Yes! Indeed I can. Although now I think of it, might need to engage a house elf for the task!" he said, following the Gryffindor ghost out of the Great Hall.

This could work or go disastrously wrong. He was keeping his transparent fingers crossed for the former. "I say, Sir Nicholas! Where exactly are we going to do this..." His voice was quieter this time, as he zoomed as fast as he could to catch up. No need for the children to hear.
