Post #1 Sharing the Dream Text Cut: Partner Vickers Louisa nodded at him when he inclined his head, and her gaze went to Elwood as Vickers looked under their table. The professor did look slightly shaken or surprised (?) by the brooch-hunting. The Ravenclaw couldn't understand why was that but she made a mental note to bring it up when she visits Callie in her office. Maybe after class they could talk and bond again. ...."Mhmm?" She snapped to Vickers murmuring something. Oh, the brooch isn't here. "Yeah, I can't find a reason for Truebridge to come all the way up here." She took a glance under the table too confirming what Vickers said, "Unless they think someone stole it." It wasn't a stretch you know with a thousands of students who are ready to pull a stunt on the headmistress just to have fun. Or sell it if it's worth a fortune and not a fake accessory. Either ways, Louisa wasn't really interested in this. It was just a brooch. Get over it. Moving on. Dream interpretation. Right. She cursed herself for fishing out 'Hair' out of that book because now she had to share THE dream slash nightmare, maybe not publicly but who knows who's eavesdropping? Or what will happen when she lies down on those chairs and tries to actually remember it? Louisa kept her thoughts inside and nodded, a bit curtly. She sat on the chair at the edge and carefully stretched to the other two chairs. Close your eyes and try to remember, she obeyed the voice in her head and folded her hands on her stomach dramatically, taking the positing of a lying mummy. …. … .. . "Foggy atmosphere..." She started talking, the dream was starting to feel vivid, her mouth going slightly dry. "…and I'm running. Through some kind of a maze. Faceless people all over the place." She didn't have to tell the complete dream, did she? Louisa opened her eyes and stared up at the ceiling. "Then he's cutting more of my hair," so much more it makes her look like a freak making her wake up with a start. She turned her head to the side and looked at Vickers, "That's enough, I guess." Fog, running, maze, and hair. |
Laura looked around, she hated these sort of tasks because no one ever wanted to be her partner because they always though she would get them into trouble or that is what Laura thought anyway, she had no idea what to do or who to ask so she just sat in her seat waiting to see if anyone was brave enough to come to her. |
Post 2 "If it didn't fall off, it means you will know of a friend's troubles but won't be able to help them,'' Jory said to the girl. "But this one only means that if you made another attempt to close it.'' He didn't like the door's meaning one bit but maybe she only dreamt of it once? He consulted Kurumi's parchment once again. Strawberry. "Strawberries represent favorable advancement and pleasure,'' the badger read aloud. ''So, you will finally have an object you wanted for while.'' He grinned. "Hope it arrives soon.'' Lollipop was the next symbol on the list. "Uh... lollipop isn't listed in the dictionary,'' he said. So he supposed he would move on to the next symbol. |

"Hey Laura, You want to be partners?" |
sorry >___< I've been out shopping and doctor/vet visits all afternoon.... Quote:
Cue some more awkward wiggling on the floor by the Gryffindor. As to what she was doing with the items...that was an entirely different story. She just remembered a room...with a table and two chairs...maybe there had been a bowl of strawberries on the table... Quote:
No lollipops? "What about candy? Or sweets?" Because sometimes you had to go the more abstract route with this already abstract subject. "There was a giant one...sitting across from me at the table...where the strawberries were..." Had the lollipop eaten a strawberry? Not that having a giant lollipop sitting with you at a table wasn't weird enough on its own. "Or...wait...there were strawberries and....strawberry lollipops...I was eating one of those..." |
Post 3 No problem :D I'll post in a few hours since I've got Uni Quote:
"Either way with respect to the locking of the door, it means that a friend is in trouble.'' He now paid some more attention to the strawberries. "It says here, if you eat the strawberry it denotes requited love.'' She had a boyfriend, right? He was thankful the classroom wasn't that lighted because he wasn't very comfortable discussing anything lovey dovey. Except maybe with Ari. The badger took the suggestion and flipped through the book to look for candy. "Eating candy represents social pleasures,'' he read. "So, you'll have a rather enjoyable time the next time you're out with family or friends.'' |

Kurumi simply bit her lip at the friend in trouble comment. That was one way to interpret that part of her dream...just depended on where the emphasis was placed - the key or the door. As for a friend in trouble...Selina's mind was in trouble, more so than usual. "Requited love..." Kurumi trailed off, cheeks flushing even more now. She already knew that though. Had known for a while now...or was this meaning that she was thinking about it even in her subconscious? Not that that was really surprising either. "So...I am thinking about Lewis..." And locking that door.... *GULP* Kurumi sort of just nodded at the next bit. Vague. Obvious. Nothing really concrete and she had to literally bite her tongue from saying something along the lines of she always had fun when she was out with friends...but refrained from doing so. "So...so far we have...I am waiting for something to come...I love Lewis and he loves me...and I will have fun the next time I go out with people..." Can we say...duh? Ruddy subject. |
Belle heard the professor's directions and she hated walking around awkwardly looking for a partner. She didn't know who would wanna be her partner but at least she could try. "Anyone need a partner?" Belle asked. |

Oh yeah, Lewis was the name of her boyfriend. "Do you suppose Lewis is in some kind of trouble?'' the boy as hesitantly. He didn't want to upset the Lion... As Kurumi began to interpret her own dreams, Jory exclaimed jokingly "Hey, that's my job.'' No matter though, he was going to say almost the same thing. So, moving on. Cats. "Cats represent ill luck,'' he read and his voice went quieter at each word. More depressing stuff. "But that's if it isn't killed or driven away.'' So there was hope. "Did you banish it or anything?'' The final symbol. Obviously there would be no dragon stuffed animal. So Jory began to look for stuffed animals or toys. "Toys represents family joys.'' "So, You're waiting for something,'' he began. "You and Lewis love each other. You'll have an enjoyable time with family or friends.'' He hesitated at the cat part. "If you didn't banish or killed that cat you will have bad luck... but on the bright side you'll experience family joys.'' He really hope the cat didn't mean bad luck for the prefect. |
Post 2 Defining word #3 for elliot Quote:
 this girl was weirder then she previously thought, "i'll have you know im pretty intelligent thank you." She waited for the girl to write down her next words reasoning as she looked up the final word "Forest. forest forestt" she said scanning the pages "ah there it is.." she began reading it aloud to her "To dream that you find yourself in a dense forest, denotes loss in trade, unhappy home influences and quarrels among families. If you are cold and feel hungry, you will be forced to make a long journey to settle some unpleasant affair. To see a forest of stately trees in foliage, denotes prosperity and pleasures. To literary people, this dream foretells fame and much appreciation from the public. A young lady relates the following dream and its fulfilment: ``I was in a strange forest of what appeared to be cocoanut trees, with red and yellow berries growing on them. The ground was covered with blasted leaves, and I could hear them crackle under my feet as I wandered about lost. The next afternoon I received a telegram announcing the death of a dear cousin.''" she looked at elliot a bit confused "which way do you think works best to your dream?" it was her dream after all |

"Um...not that I know of..." she said, blinking in confusion for a moment. Unless he wasn't telling her something. Or maybe he was in trouble in the sense that he wasn't sure what to do after Hogwarts. It had mostly been her talking about university, which was rather selfish of her now that she got to thinking about it. Kurumi laughed softly. "Right, shutting up." Although she very well might go back and read up on these symbols herself after the lesson. NOT that she was interested in the subject at all. It would be more to appease her curiosity. "Nope...it was actually my cat, well...kneazle...and he was sitting on my lap purring." Of course. Animals were always some sort of bad news in dreams. Whatever. She knew her pet wasn't a bad omen. Pondering all this for a moment, Kurumi tuned back in just as Jory was going over the entire meaning of her dream - or whatever bits of it she had recalled. Sitting up now, Kurumi couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Banish of kill a cat? Right...like I am the sort of person to dream about something that cruel," she scoffed slightly. And THAT was supposed to represent good luck? Killing a creature. Yep, Divination was rubbish. "I may have shooed my cat away because he was pawing at one of my strawberries." Did that mean that Walnut was trying to get between her and her requited love? Heh, sounded like something crazy enough for this subject to think up. Vague vague and more vague. "Um...thanks Jory," Kurumi said with a small bow of the head. He was done with her reading, right? "Do you remember anything about your dream?" Aka, it was his turn to lie down on the ground. |

She didn't feel like walking around and just asking people "Hey, do you have a partner?". She'd just walk up to them when they asked out loud if anyoned needed a partner. She stood still for a moment, just twiddling her thumbs. It got quite boring sometimes, just standing and waiting. Of course, she would know that. After a little bit of no calls, someone, FINALLY, asked for a partner, which Cardigan immediately went over and answered to. "I'll be your partner," She said, knodding slightly. "I'm Cardigan Johansson. And you are? |

Looking for a partner... Minerva couldn't help but smirk to herself when she heard Richard getting into trouble for being so rude to poor Tinka. Who did he think he was anyway, always so full of himself. Then she listened to the directions from the professor, interrupting their dreams, this sounded fun. She wondered what her dream would come up to meaning. Hmm she wondered, but then she got back from her thoughts and looked around the room. Oh, yes a partner.. guess she needed to find someone to work with her. Looking around, "Anyone need a partner yet?" she asked hoping someone might. |

Wah. She didn't her family life could get any worse...this was great...well, she didn't HAVE to put much store to this...who said this was all correct, anyways? But...well....it was all too right. She wrote own the last bit about the forests...great. GREAT. WAHHHH! So her notes looked like: Quote:
Looking a bit thrown off, she sighed. "Okay..want me to start my second dream?" Without waiting for her to say yes, she lay back down and closed her eyes. "I was upstairs, in my room. I heard yelling from downstairs...and heard my parents yelling at each other.." Ha! As if. HEr mother was too scared to yell at her father. "SO I rushed downstairs to see another woman in there, too. I was five in the dream...I don't know why. But there was this fire, and then we all ran out, but the lady with my father did some fancy spellwork and stuck my mother to the ground. So she...died." Yeah. Elliot opened her eyes. She didn't nearly as disturbed as she should have been. Hmph. "That one wasn't as fun." No. Plus the other woman seemed very familiar, and Elliot knew exactly who she was. And it did NOT make her happy that the stupid woman made it into her dream...though Elliot did not think she was likely to forget her father's mistress that easily. |

"I guess i will talk about the dream i just had before i was awoken with water." Nigel could not remember the dream he had last night. So this is the best he could do. He closed his eyes and retold his dream. "It was a Badger and a Eagle killing a Sea Monster" |

"You're most welcome,'' the badger said cheerfully as he closed his text book. "Actually, I have. I started to remember as I was looking up your symbols in the text.'' He had seen the word locket and everything started coming back bit by bit. "My turn to lie down.'' This was awkward. He lay on his back and linked his fingers behind his head. "Okay, so I dreamt I was floating with the clouds,'' Jory began and thinking how silly that sounded. "There was jazz music in the background.'' He wasn't a fan of jazz music one bit. "As I was floating, I noticed a heart shaped locket on a purple pillow a good distance from where I was. I tried to go after it but I couldn't move an inch.'' Yup, the lockett and pillow both stayed the distance away fom him. He looked at Kurumi. "So the symbols would be cloud, music, pillow and locket, right?'' |
Partners anyone? VM me if so! Ella looked around her desk, picking up her bag just in case. It was quite dark in the room but even with the lack of light, she was sure that there was no brooch near her. She shrugged, eyeing the poor worried house elf with a frown before looking back up at the Professor. Right, so they would be sharing dreams with a partner? Ella looked around, noting that lots of her classmates had already partnered up. Meep. That wasn't good. The third year stood up and looked around, deciding it was best to just see if anyone else was left partnerless. "I um...Anyone still need a partner?" Pretty please with a cherry on top? |
Post #2 SPOILER!!: Louisa Vickers guided Louisa as she lay across the seats and settled down, then pulled up a chair for himself, their textbook and parchment across his lap. He scribbled down his notes as Louisa murmured what she can recall. It sounded scary, running aimlessly with impaired vision, then someone taking a hack at your head-- even if it was hair and not the scalp itself, was enough to give Vickers a bit of a shudder. He nodded his head and murmured "Yeah we can work with that..." he replied as he held out his arm to help Louisa into a sitting position, then opened the textbook with the meaning to certain key words. SPOILER!!: Words and their meanings He read the first word-- fog. And that kinda got his jaw to drop. He shifted his gaze to the Head Girl and read this part aloud "For a young woman to dream of being in a fog, denotes that she will be mixed up in a salacious scandal, but if she gets out of the fog she will prove her innocence and regain her social standing." Glancing at Louisa he murmured "Some of these may have happened already--" at the least the scandal part he's thinking "-- or maybe there will be a new one coming. I dont know. Do you ever recall getting out of the fog?" |
