Leaving the door to the classroom ajar to allow the warm September breeze to flow through the classroom from one of the open windows, Professor Marion Burbage has set up a table next to the door with rows of Muggle soda bottles of various flavors lined up along with empty plastic cups. The professor is currently seated and looking over two photographs that you cannot make out just what of in the front of the classroom.
Beside the display of two-liter pop bottles is a seating chart of the classroom and a note that reads:

Taylor gave him an encouraging smile then glanced over at where she left her things before looking back at the younger guy.
Thankfully it didn't take someone long to respond to his calls for help. He smiled graciously at her as she came over at demonstrated how it was done. He watched her actions and took a mental note of them as she stuck the wing onto the bottle. She obviously had no glue but he thought that he had picked up on the correct wand movement and pronunciation. "Thanks" he smiled up at her and proceeded on with his work.
--------------------------------
After the girl had shown him what to do, Terry spoke "Adhaero" clearly and imitated the wand movement. To his delight, the wings stuck onto the bottle, equidistant apart. It was looking a lot better now. He had already attached the parachute and so now he just had to fit the bottom of the bottle onto the top, or vice versa, whichever way worked best. He just about rotated it on, making sure that it would be able to slide back off again if it needed to. It appeared to work and so he continued contemplating what was coming next.
He reached into his bag and looked for some colourful ink that might be able to assist him. He found a piece of card and a couple of colours that would look spacey and cool to decorate his rocket with. He had attached his plastic bag and wire before he had done the wings and the rocket finally looked complete. Well apart from the decorations.
The boy chose the colours blue, yellow and red because they looked like a good combination. He absent-mindedly chewed the end of his quill before he dipped it in the ink and smudged yellow all over the card. This would take forever at this rate. Once the card was completely yellow, he splodged red spots on it and inked the wings to be red. The bottle he made dark blue, like the colour of the night sky when you saw it away from civilization. The final part to his masterpiece was the name.
He thought long and hard of what to call it, nothings seemed to spring immediately to mind. However, after a long wait and whilst waiting for everything to dry, the boy hadn't learned any drying spells yet so he chose to do it the Muggle way, the idea of calling it after himself came to mind. His name was Terry, so that went on with Yellow ink straight away on the side where the was no wing (He'd chosen to go for 3 wings instead of four, located evenly around the bottle.) Rockets always seemed to have random numbers on the end but Terry wanted his to mean something. He wrote 12, seeing as that was his age and finished it off with a couple of crosses on the wings, just to make them stand out as well.
He stepped back from his workspace and stared at his work. That would have to do. Terry admitted he wasn't an artist, he was reasonably creative but painting and getting things to look right wasn't exactly one of his best talents. He liked to keep things simple, do things to the best of his ability and a plain looking rocket was what he could do. He looked across to the professor to indicate that he was finished.

"Can anyone help me cut my bottle and wings?" Ariella called out loudly hoping she would catch someones attention, Please!"
Alyssa looked up when she heard a young Ravenclaw ask for help. Leaving her work on her table, she walked up to the young girl. "Hi I'm Alyssa. Do you need help with cutting your bottle and the wings? Okay let's start with the bottle first. We will use the Severing Charm and the spell is Diffindo. The wand movements is a downward slashing motion like this." Alyssa placed the bottle on the edge of the table and wish a downward slashing motion of her wand, said,"DIFFINDO". A beam of light shot out and hit the bottle. When it disappeared, the bottle was cut about 2/3 from the top. "That's how you do it."
"Now for the wings you could use the same spell too but it could get messy, so I just used my pair of scissors. Would you like to borrow it? Just draw out what shape you want the wings to be and then cut it out." Alyssa informed the girl and she waited to see whether the young Ravenclaw would prefer to use her pair of scissors, Alyssa heard a Gryffindor student call out for help too.

She nearly dismembered herself trying that. Intent huh...? Her brows furrowed for a minute as she recalled every last detail of what the girl had done. Better to be sure than end up hurting her...she would never forgive herself if she did. Then when she was sure she had gotten it in her mind she raised her wand and did everything that Vivi had done.
"YES!!!! Thanks you're the best!" She gave her a quick hug before grabbing the pieces of her bottle and hurrying back to her seat. Yup. Now she would be all set!

TAKE A POTTY BREAK! Be sure there is NO soda left in your bottle. Use the Severing Charm to cut ONE of your bottles about 2/3 of the way from the top so that you have removed the top. (be sure to cut the end with the lid) Check to make sure that the cut bottle fits over the bottom of the other bottle. It should slide on and off easily.
Cut out 3-4 wings that are the same in size. If the size is off it will effect how high the rocket launches. You can make them whatever size you want and whatever shape you want.
Use Adhaero to stick the wings to the UNCUT bottle. Be sure that they are attached around the same height.
Take your plastic bag, dental floss, and a remaining cardboard and lay them out on your desk.
Tie some dental to the plastic bag's handles and attach this string to the bottom of your UNCUT bottle. This will become your rocket's parachute.
Place the bottom part of the bottle on top other bottle. Make sure the bottom part of your rocket has the parachute.

So now she was onto the wings. Using the clever new technique she had learnt she cut out the wings and stacked them neatly to the side of her desk. There was a wide, satisfied smile on her face as she admired them a bit more before setting back to work.

Looking back at the instructions again she grimaced. Did every bloody thing require the use of magic?! Her old school's Art classes didn't require such technicalities. SCOWL.
Lex took her wand and began tapping her head with it as she tried to think of how she would get this done. Hmm....intent....
She took a wing and put it to the bottle. "Adhaero."...nothing....Her scowl got deeper. "Adhaero!" Intent. Lex gripped the wand firmly and looked down at the stupid wing she had been proud off just seconds ago. "Professor." Her hand shot up. "I can't get my wings to stick." She complained. This was all becoming less and less fun...
Alyssa realized that she was having problems fixing the wings to her bottle and decided to offer her help. "Hi I see that you're having problems sticking the wings to your bottle. The spell incantation is correct but you really need to concentrate on what you want the spell to do and then point your wand at the spot you want it to stick to."
Alyssa picked up one of the wings, and unholstered her wand. "Here let me show you how to one of them. Concentrate, visualize what you want the spell to do and point." Alyssa placed the wing where she had seen the girl try to attach it to the bottle and pointed her wand at the spot and said,"ADHAERO". A beam of light shot out and when it disappeared, the wing was securely attached to the bottle.
"Want to give it a go?" Alyssa encouraged the younger girl.

Ari smiled gratefully as what appeared to be an older Hufflepuff student came over to help her, "Yes, thank you! I'm Ari..." She said trailing off as she listened intently to what Alyssa was saying as she explained how someone would perform the severing charm. "Woah!" Ari gasped quietly as she cast the spell, slicing her bottle as if it were child's play!
"If you don't mind me using them..." Ari said shrugging her shoulders as she snatched up her quill, dipping it into some ink. She carefully started to sketch some wings onto some cardboard, her tounge sticking out in concentration...

...The Head Girls eyes may have been on Aspen now. But who could say how long she'd keep those eyes? Aspen was likely to have her head. Soon. Then Aspen could permanently stick the Head Girls eyes to herself and carry them around with her always. Aspen might have shown her vampire teeth to the Head Girl a liiiiittle.
...geez some people just existed to be creepy and *SHUDDER*. Louisa frowned at the Odessa chick, WARNING frown. This class is bound to go smoothly, 'k? There was no reason for it not to be, if you really think of it. Louisa found everything and everyone being perfectly normal and out of trouble so far. Well, maybe except that flying bottle that hit Penelope on the head... but stiiiill. Everyone was great.
So now to focus on the rocket thingie again. Louisa used her want to cut the cardboard into three rectangular pieces. She placed them on top of each other, trimmed the edges with her wand so that they were completely equal. With her quill she drew a line from one corner of the cardboard to a point on the other side, forming a wing. She used Diffindo to cut the first on the line, concentrating hard on the cardboard layers.
It worked. Louisa beamed, raised the three cardboard-now-wings and GASP! the table beneath them was a biiiiiiit scratched too. The spell must've been too hard, oopsies! She tapped it with her wand, "Reparo," and the surface was un-scratched again. PHEW.
Moving on. The Ravenclaw brought the uncut bottle, laid it on its bottom on the desk, and grabbed the wings. She took the first one with her left hand, her wand in the right, and positioned the cardboard-wing at the bottom of the bottle as she pointed the wand at where they touched, "Adhaero," letting go of the wing to make sure it successfully stuck to the bottle. Louisa repeated the process for the other two wings, the table surface serving as her reference so that all three of them were aligned perfectly. Once the sticking was over, she crossed off those two steps ready to move on...

Logan was feeling rather satisfied with the progress he made so far as he looked at the next set of instructions on his parchment.
Huh. It was time to make the rocket wings.
Moving the piece of cardboard in front of him, he held his wand downwards, and using Diffindo, proceeded to cut out four medium sized triangles. He made sure to make the lines as neat as possible and once they were done he moved the scrap piece of cardboard off to the side. Next, he stacked each wing on top of each other and lined them up. Any pieces that weren't equal he cut some more with his wand until they were all the same size.
Time to attach the wings to the bottle.
After placing the uncut bottle so that it was standing upright, he grabbed one of the wings while holding his wand in his other hand. He positioned the wing on the bottle where he wanted it placed, pointing his wand where they touched. Using Adhaero, he attached the wing.
Logan proceeded to attach the other three wings in this fashion, making sure that he placed them all at the same height.
With the rocket coming together more now, he made sure to move the bag, dental floss, and cardboard closer to him on the desk. There wasn't much more for him to do now.

Lex jumped slightly when she heard a voice just pop up. In her deep concentration she hadn't heard anyone walking over but now she looked up from the frustrating pieces of wings and at a girl...an older one. She had promised herself that she would stay away from older kids but this one seemed really nice and was offering to help so she would overlook her little rule. "Hi." She felt her cheeks burning slightly when the girl said that she realized she was having problems. Greeeeeaaaat, so then, did everyone know???? SIGH. This was hopeless.
She listened to everything the girl had said about needing concentration, but...wasn't she concentrating??? Wasn't she concentrating really hard? Merlin, it had gotten to the point where she could feel a headache coming on and even after all that she still wasn't concentrating enough?! This magic stuff was harder than she thought! She watched the girl do seemingly everything she had just done. Mmmm...isn't that what she had done?
Reluctantly she raised her wand, deciding she would give it another try...just so the girl wouldn't keep bugging her to because then they would be on the wrong page and she didn't want that. She picked up another wing and put it where she wanted. "Adhaero!" Nothing. GLARE. Lex cleared her throat. "Adhaero." This time a beam of light came from her wand and stuck the wing to the rocket. EEeepppp!! "It work!" Even she was shocked that it actually worked. Honestly she was about to rip apart the remaining wings and dump them then tell the Professor she was tired of the exercise BUT she got it!
She flashed a wide smile of gratitude to the girl. "Thanks! I'm Alexa by the way." Nice people could get her name. "I was about to give up on this thing. " She admitted before taking up the other two wings and attaching them with the spell. Great. Now on to the next task--hopefully it didn't involve magic.

Time to get crafty! Awar slid on her imaginary glasses and straightened herself up. Awarlesta Black, Rocket Engineer! She laid out the objects in front of her on the desk. BUUURP. Oh, had one in the tank! Okay, now she was ready.
She picked up her soda bottle and studied it carefully. Now what was that severing spell? She thought back to the summer where Manolo and his ex-girlfriend, Sera, were telling her about basic spells. What was it?! Think, think! Was it...no. OH! wait was it....hmm... She pointed her wand at the bottle. Hope this is the right one!"Diffindo!" The bottle cut perfectly. She shot her fist in the air. "YEAH!"
Tay nodded to him, "Anytime." She would of stayed and probably got to know something about him but she really needed to get back to her own rocket so she gave a smile and left. Taylor got back and looked at the instructions again. Tay was on the cutting out wings part. Taylor sketched 3 wings on cardboard and used Diffindo to cut them out. Tay sighed and glanced at her bottle. Taylor picked up a wing and positioned it on the uncut bottle. "Adhaero!" It stuck in the position. She smiled at it then picked up the next one and did the same thing. On the third one, she made sure they were all equidistant from each other, "Adhaero!" Taylor sat her wand down and admired her handiwork. Tay glanced up at the board and saw the next step was laying out items so she gently placed the rocket to the side. Taylor laid her plastic bag, a piece of cardboard and the floss on the desk like it said to do. There wasnt much left to do but there was still some left to do. Tay looked at the board and used Diffindo again to cut some floss. Taylor tied the minty floss onto the plastic bag's handles, making sure it was knotted good enough to stay on. She postioned the floss to the bottom on her rocket, "Adhaero!" Tay smiled as she made sure that the parachute was firmly attached to the bottle.

Jayden sighed as she tied the dental floss onto the handles that were attached to the plastic bag. "Ugh. I hate artsy type projects!" She moaned, attaching them to the uncut bottle. She then placed the bottom part of the bottle to the top, straightening out the parachute...
Now for the decorations! Jayden skipped over to the table that held various things for decorating her rocket. She added some dark blue and silver sparkles to the wings, and added some decorative stick on flowers..

After that excitement tuned down, Awarlesta proceeded on cutting out her wings. She stuck her tongue out as she drew the outline and cut them afterwards. Okay, now to stick them on. She pointed her wand at the wing and the bottle. "Adahero!" Nothing happened. Huh?! Why didn't it do anything?! She repeated it again. "Adahero!" Nothing. What the pygmy puff?! WHY AREN'T YOU WORKING?!
She looked up at the instructions. Adhaero. She rolled her eyes. Nice one, genius. You were saying it wrong! She pointed her wand again and cleared her throat. "Adhaero!" There. Finally, the wing fused itself with the bottle. She repeated it 3 more times. Okay, next...
She smoothed out the plastic bag and tied the floss to the handles. She exhaled loudly and attached the parachute to the bottle and put the bottles halves together. She stroked her chin and studied the rocket. Now...for some artistic pizazz! She gathered some decorations, such as glitter and stuff, and returned to her desk. She sprinkled glitter and pasted things like a painter after finding his muse. She observed her finished project. You did good, Awarlesta. You did, good.

Alyssa knew that she had to join the pieces of the two bottles together but she decided to skip that part for and decided to first decorate the bottles because it would be easier doing it now than when they were attached together.
Digging inside her backpack for her box of colored markers, Alyssa found it and took it out. She spread the markers out on her desk. She decided that as she was from America, she would be patriotic and would use, as much as possible, the colors of her country’s flag, red, white and blue. She first picked out the white marker and thought for awhile before drawing some stars on the bottle that had been cut. Then she switched the white marker for a blue one and drew a few more stars, before switching to a red marker and drawing a few more stars. Now that she had them in a nice neat rows of three, she stopped to think what other decorations she could use.
Then she smiled cunningly. Since this was going to be a rocket, she decided to draw in some yellow fireworks above the top of the stars. She added little sparks and a yellow splash of fireworks and once she was done, she sat back to see what she had done so far.
Now that the top of the bottle had been decorated, Alyssa decided that she would draw an insignia on the wings. It would look like her country’s flag but there would only be one star. She decided that she would color it in red. Once she had completed the insignia on one wing, she drew the same insignia on the other three wings. Waiting for the ink to dry, Alyssa sat back and decided that she would need one more symbol for the bottom bottle. She thought long and hard before deciding on the symbol for astrophysics. She found a picture of the symbol in one of the library books she had borrowed about the subject and slowly copied out the symbol using her yellow marker.
Her decoration was complete. Gently picking up both bottles, she proceeded to attach both bottles together following the instructions. Tilting the uncut bottle upside down, so that the bottom with the parachute attached to it was facing upwards. Then she took the cut bottle and slid it inside the bottle, making sure that the parachute was tucked safely inside.
She had finished making her bottle rocket. Now all that was left for her to do was to check off the remaining steps in her journal and then wait to see if any of the younger students needed help with making theirs. Of course there was no guarantee that hers would fly at all, but Alyssa hoped that it would at least get off the ground. Picking up her quill, she picked up her journal and finished off her notes.

As Alyssa waited for the others to finish and kept an eye out for anyone else who needed help, she looked at her finished product. She remembered seeing how most rockets had a cone shaped top. It was supposed to make the rocket more aerodynamic and help reduce wind resistance. So she raised her hand and asked.
"Professor I know your instructions said that our product had to look like yours but would it be okay if I ended a cone shape top to my bottle rocket. I'm hoping that will help it fly better."

Taylor glanced at the board and smiled. The only thing that she needs to do now is place the bottom of the cut bottle onto the uncut bottle and decorate. Tay chuckled and followed the second to last instruction. The rocket was complete except for the decoration. Taylor debated what to do about the decoration and decided to go for house pride. The bottle was now blue but the wings and the put where the cap was, was now bronze. That wasn't enough decoration for Taylor's taste though so she thought about what else to put on it. She decided to write her intials on the blue part in fancy lettering so she went to work on the fancy handwriting, making sure it was bronze for Ravenclaw. Tay hummed as she worked. After the intials were done, she looked at it and still thought something was missing but she didnt know what. Taylor looked around the classroom and then did a facepalm. Stars! Why not Stars! It is after all an astronomy class and it was after all a rocket so stars would be perfect! Taylor got to working on the bronze stars, decorating all of the bottle that wasnt her initals. After she got done, she looked at it and smiled, happily. The rocket was finally finished. Tay admired it and then sat, waiting for more instructions.

Vivi caught Vickers' eye and winked. See? No hard feelings. And wasn't this fun? Rockets and things? Right?

O___O
She nearly dismembered herself trying that. Intent huh...? Her brows furrowed for a minute as she recalled every last detail of what the girl had done. Better to be sure than end up hurting her...she would never forgive herself if she did. Then when she was sure she had gotten it in her mind she raised her wand and did everything that Vivi had done.
"YES!!!! Thanks you're the best!" She gave her a quick hug before grabbing the pieces of her bottle and hurrying back to her seat. Yup. Now she would be all set!
See? Vivi had confidence the firstie would pick up an easy spell like Diffindo, and no one had lost any fingers. All was well in the world. She waited until Lex departed to get her own supplies before getting back to work on her own rocket.
Wings. Wings. She studied her piece of cardboard with interest, trying to imagine the best shape and size for her rocket. Hmm. From the depths of her bag, she removed a charcoal pencil and sketched out a basic parallelogram. Too big, too blunt an angle, too... everything. Vivi smudged it out and redrew a better version.
MUCH better. Vivi gnawed a bit on her thumb before deciding she approved of this particular wing shape, holding it up to her bottle and grunting in approval. Yup. Using a focused Diffindo, Vivi cut out the first wing and then used that shape to trace three more of the same dimensions. These were cut out as well.
It was a good thing they were using a sticking spell to adhere the wings to the bottle. Anything Muggle bonding agent would probably fail under the actual conditions, and anything else would end up causing drag during lift-off. Vivi touched the thin edge of the cardboard with her wand and murmured, "Adhaero."
And then Lex was being all persnickety again. Vivi whistled at the girl and gestured her over.
SPOILER!!: Instructions on the board
TAKE A POTTY BREAK!
Be sure there is NO soda left in your bottle.
Use the Severing Charm to cut ONE of your bottles about 2/3 of the way from the top so that you have removed the top. (be sure to cut the end with the lid)
Check to make sure that the cut bottle fits over the bottom of the other bottle.

A whistle.
She was sure she heard someone whistling and when she flashed around she saw Vivi calling her over. Now she was going to get that idiot speech she should have gotten when she first went over for help. She dragged her feet across the room until she was back at her desk.
"Before you say anything, I was really trying but it's hard." And now she would probably think that she was whining but see, this was why she preferred using her wand as a physical weapon instead of a magical wand. The only thing she needed to depend on was the force she used when whacking with it. Nothing hard in that. Nope.
"And I'm not whining either." Just in case.

Ariella was hard at work as she cut on the edges of her first wing for her bottle rocket. She wanted it to be perfect, after all it was her very first assignment at Hogwarts... Once she was finally done she held it up to examine it. She nodded her head in approval and traced three more identical wings onto some cardboard and cut them out as well. Ari quickly returned the scissors back to Alyssa and read the next set of instuctions...
Oh boy... Now it was time for the exciting/scary/nervewracking part that Ari wasn't sure if she should be terrified of or extremely happy for. She was going to cast a spell, thats right folks...a spell. Her very first one, mind. Before Ariella even attempted it, she examined a few other students first, noting their wand movments and their pronunciation before trying it out herself.
She cleared her throat and took a deep breath, holding the wing onto her bottle with one hand and her wand in the other. Ari gently tapped her want and muttered... "Adhaero," She frowed. It hadn't worked...but that wasn't going to stop her! Ariella decided to try agian this time stating it a bit more loudly and clearly... "Adhaero!"
Ariella stared at the wing in amazement...it worked. It actually worked! Ariella felt much more confident in herself and went to work with pasting the other three triangular shaped wings onto her rocket...

Sierra stared at the two pieces of the bottle she'd been drinking from. She was still in complete disbelief that they were making a BOTTLE ROCKET in Astronomy class. There just better be some magic behind all of this...
Okay, so what was the next step? Seeing as she'd already started, she may as well take a shot at finishing up... She glanced at her materials and noticed the plastic bag, dental floss, and cardboard. Yeah...she SO couldn't believe they were doing an art project. Whatever, Burbage. This seemed so MUGGLE.
Speaking of which...
"Professor Burbage?" Sierra said, raising her hand. She lowered it and added, "You wouldn't happen to be related to the late Professor Charity Burbage, would you?" That might explain the whole Muggleness this class had to offer.
Anyway... Sierra picked up the uncut bottle and made sure that the cut bottle fit on top of it. She slid it on and off a few times. Yup, all was good. Perfect, because she really didn't feel like redoing everything.
...and then. "Cut out three to four wings?" she asked. "Cut them from...what?" The bottle? The cardboard? Bliiiiiink.

All Logan really had to do now was sort out the parachute and decorate the rocket. It seemed rather easy, and he was excited to try it out. Maybe he would show Ness and impress her.
Taking some dental floss from the bunch he had at the table, Logan tied it to the handles of the bag. This would be the parachute for the rocket. The parachute was next attached to the rocket by using the Adhaero charm.
Picking up the bottom of the cut bottle, he placed it on top of the other one. Now all he had to do was decorate the rocket.
Reaching into his bag, he took out some markers. He was going to do a space theme with stars and planets. Biting his lip a little, Logan started to slowly and carefully draw stars using yellow markers, filling each one in with colour.
Once he had quite a few on the rocket, he started drawing and filling in yellow comets. More colours needed to be brought into this, so the yellow was put down and traded for red. I medium sized red circle was drawn on to represent Mars, and a smaller blue circle followed to represent Pluto. Even if it wasn't considered a planet anymore, it was still to be included.
A bigger blue circle was drawn for Uranus, and one with reds and browns was Saturn. That one was the hardest, as he had to draw the rings.
Once the rings were finished, Logan stepped back from the rocket. Finally finished. Sitting down, he waited for further instructions.

Ugh.
The older Odessa has now come to the aid of her brother. That didn't look good. And Beezus, being the kind who didn't want to be involved in any mess, decided to return to her desk. She didn't have anything to do with the younger Odessa's exhibition of his adoooooooooorable panties. Nope. Nope. It was all that Hufflepuff's fault. Hmp.
As the brunette glided back to her workspace, she passed by Sierra Greingoth who apparently was addressing no one in particular with a question and feeling helpful (because she thinks this would turn her luck for the day), Beezus stopped. "Oh, hi Sierra! I believe you can cut either 3 or 4 wings, depends on your preference. And cut it from this." The Ravenclaw then held up and shook lightly the piece of cardboard she was holding. Mmmkaaaaaaay?
"Not at all, professor," Presley replied. After all nothing was wrong. "I was simply going to ask if I may run to my dormitory quickly and get my scrapbooking supplies to decorate with. It's just down the corridor from here." Polite and to the point. That was all Presley needed.
"Oh, well, I would prefer that you only exit the classroom for potty breaks," she nodded softly. "If you go to the front of the classroom, just there behind my desk, I doooooo believe you will find a box that contains such items. You are free to use whatever you like."

An older Ravenclaw she didn't recognize came over to claim and snatch the bottle out of her hand, and then promised to make it up to her. Penelope hadn't really expected the last bit - it was only a bottle after all, and she really wasn't that hurt - but hey, why pass up the opportunity? The older girl could help her with the spells to make it up to her. "Okay then," she replied with a shrug and was about to ask about getting help when suddenly Kurumi at that very moment and...apologized, acting like the bottle was hers?
Now Penelope was confused. Whose bottle was it really? And why would either claim the bottle was theirs when it wasn't? And who was going to help her with her spells?!
These were the important questions that needed to be answered, but right now, Penelope decided to momentarily stay silent and watch as the bottle stuff got sorted out. Staaaare.

For a moment, Sutton just stared at Professor Burbage before a smile of pure joy broke out on her face. This wasn't magic. This was SCIENCE. Even better, it was MATH and SCIENCE. Those were quite possibly the two things Sutton liked best in the whole entire world. In fact, just last year, she had made bottle rockets for a science fair project in which she hypothesized about which shape(s) of wings would make the best and worst bottle rockets.
This!was!epic!
Practically jumping from her seat, she immediately went and gathered the rest of her materials from the box in the front and set them on her desk. Looking back over the instructions, Sutton gathered that these spells were going to need some coaching, but she didn't want to bother the other students with stuff like this. She was a third year and by all means she SHOULD know how to do them. Intending to search for them, she pulled out her Standard Book of Spells and set it on her desk along with her materials... and her very full soda bottle. There was no way she was drinking all of that soda. That was... a lot of soda! Her tummy would feel all sloshy, and she'd get antsy and not be able to concentrate.
With a warm, flirtatious, pleading smile she turned to Logan holding up her bottle of soda. "Logan, will you help me? I don't think I can drink the rest of this all by myself..." she said quietly in her sweetest, most genuine voice.

Since Logan was done his rocket, he was getting a little bored with not having anything to do. Yawning, he tried to keep his eyes open. When Sutton asked him to help her, he nodded his head a little and reached out to take the soda from her.
It would make him spaz out on top of the other soda he had drank, but it was impossible to say no to her. Plus he just loved soda.

She turned toward the girl, a suspicious expression on her face. At least it was a Ravenclaw. Ravenclaws were tolerable, and at least they were good to cheat off of. "Oh," Sierra said, nodding. Was she supposed to thank her now or something? Err... "Thanks," she said, and even gave the girl a grin. "The directions," she said, pointing at them, "weren't exactly clear on that."
Having to rely one somebody else gave her a weird feeling. It made her feel so naive and vulnerable.
