...

...no, that was ridiculous. The Sorting Hat had already done its work, and everything he'd read about Hogwarts indicated that its decision was final. Though that did make him wonder if there were some slack Ravenclaws about. Slackerclaws?

At first he didn't understand her shock -- hadn't she just said his studying was promising? -- but when he did he clarified, "I didn't enroll over OWL excitement, no; I'd have to take them even if I continued homeschooling. I enrolled to take them here, with other people."

Made sense to him, anyway. He nodded his way through her explanation of her friends and boyfriend -- that was why he wanted to acquire friends, after all -- but when she started murmuring he just sort of... sat there. Was the murmuring still directed at him, and she didn't want other people to hear? Or was she now talking to herself and he was supposed to pretend, out of politeness, that he'd gone temporarily deaf until such time as she started speaking in a normal tone again?

To help pass the time, he poured himself a glass of water.

Ooooh. Now that made sense to her. Mhmm. Louisa even showed it on her face that she got it, nodding vigorously at him. "Got it. I can show you around and introduce you to nice people." Errr... she didn't know any, actually. Louisa paused thoughtfully, she seemed to be doing this a lot today, and then went on, "I can introduce you to fifth year students, yeah." She couldn't just promise him about the nice part though. Blunt people like Louisa rarely got along with goodie-two-shoes.

"Did you study the same subjects we do at Hogwarts? Or did-" But she was cut off by someone - a small someone scooting over...

Not knowing what on earth the BIG P stood for - because she wasn't looking at the word on it just the GIANT letter she scooted closer to the older girl. "What does that P on your robes mean? Does it stand for pretty - putrid - punctual" she trailed off before she listed every other P name she could think of.

Staaaaaare. Louisa's mind raced for a full moment as she looked from the young girl to Nealan and then back again at the girl. "It means Patriarch, actually." Bahahaha. "It means whatever you need, you come to me and I'll help you out." Or not. Considering, of course, Louisa's mood. The sixteen years old flashed a grin at the younger girl anyways, she was about to act oh-so-friendly coz Nealan was around still but the young girl didn't have the attention span needed.

Oopsies. It was RIGHT over the Slytherin table...

:whaa:
Louisa's eyes bulged out of her head, almost following the flying pastry. "WHAAT?" Ahem. She smacked her hand on the fork the girl used as cauldron cake launcher and peered down at the firstie, "Why did you do that?" What logical possible explanation made her do that? Well, to be really frank, Louisa did threw a pie or two at a feast five years ago... the Prefect pursed her lips together and looked sternly at the girl, "You can't throw food at people. It's... wrong. And messy." What? How was she supposed to deal with this without immobilizing the cutie lil girl?

She sat down beside the new girl with a big smile on her face. "Hey! You're a new Ravenclaw right? I'm Violet and a second year. It's great to see you here!" The girl looked quite scared. How was she going to make her feel welcome? Awkwardly, she stuck her arm out to the girl expecting a handshake from her keeping the bright smile on her face.

Maxwell bad as Violet got up and moved next to a firstie. "Bye, Violet." He said politely. He knew he deserved to be snubbed, he wronged her but there was nothing he could do to change that now...He would be sure to tell her he was sorry later.

That was funny cause they would change back. Mika looked down at the extended hand and tentatively took it - shaking it she just smiled over to her. "Can I call you Vy" she asked excitedly.

Violet's smile went wider when the girl smiled back. "Hey Amelia! It's great to meet you. I've never met your sister before, but sibling rivalry is always so frustrating isn't it?" She laughed at the thought. "I don't even have any siblings, but I get the feeling that a lot of people have."

Violet was glad that the girl took her hand for a handshake. "Yeah sure, You can call me Vy. Whatever you want." She never had a nickname before, but it sounded pretty cool. "So are you liking Hogwarts so far?"

HazelStone101 05-03-2012 06:48 PM

Anyone? And ELLIOTTTTTT! ^-^

Jayden entered the Great Hall and practically fell into the Ravenclaw table. She was so excited to be back... to be home... to be welcomed. It was great. "Hey guys!" She called out to everyone at the table, her blue eyes flashing cheerfully in the candlelight.

"Has anyone seen Elliot?"
She asked, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of lace...

Damon sighed, he had even told Taylor he would so he may as well get it over with before he just forgot and totally ignored ever doing it. He looked at Maxwell, not looking angry or even suspious like he normally did, "Maxwell, I want to appoligize." He sighed again; he was sorry for how he handled the situation... but he wasn't sorry for what had happened itself.

Mika!!!

Joanna was so excited. She could feel the tears joy inside her begging to come out to the world, but the Ravenclaw would never let that happen. It's far too emotional and 'Drama-Queen like' for her. Last year after Christmas, she had to go back to America because of a family crises. But now she was back, and this time nothing would get her out of this school, even if it a matter of life and death.

The Ravenclaw, was sitting watching the sorting ceremony, with her usual grin. She remembered the moment she heard the hat roar 'Ravenclaw' three minutes after it was placed on her head. It was such an awkward moment. The whole school looking at you wearing an old talking hat. Joanna sighed she missed this place, the lessons, the professors and especially her friends. Speaking of friends... Joanna wondered were are they right now. "Never mind them... you have ten whole months to hang-out with" she thought to herself.

Violet looked back at Maxwell who had called her when he left. She waved her hand to him while looking at him with a longing look in her chocolate brown eyes to be with him. This was how it was going to be she guessed. Could they still be friends. Violet wasn't sure about the future.

Marie watched everyone around her. Talking, laughing, goofing off. It felt good. She reached into her pocket and pulled out her mirror. Looking into the glass, she noticed the blue smoke. Daddy, what does it mean, she thought, I don't know what all the colors mean.

Jayden smiled, looking around at all the new first years. They were all so small... and odd. Well... some of them were.. anyways. But one smaller girl caught her attention, she was playing with some sort of pocket mirror.

"Hey there!" She piped up, attempting to catch the girl's attention. "Welcome to Hogwarts, and congratulations on making Ravenclaw, the best house at Hogwarts in my opinion!" She laughed, looking down at the eleven year old.

Had she really been that small her first year? Probably, but she didn't want to think about that too much. For now she was just focused on being welcoming and helpful.

Maxwell waived back to Violet, an apologetic look on his face. He didn't know how to make things better. He was with Taylor now and he loved her there was no changing that but he wasn't in love with her and the future was always changing, he would be happy to friends with Violet for now, if she would be his friend. He looked over to Marie seeing her confused face. "Everything okay?" He asked her out of concern.

It wasn't that Neal didn't like younger kids; under the right conditions, they could be thoroughly entertaining and fun to associate with. It was more that, in their own special way, they were summarily excellent at interrupting conversations with acts of childishness that would be immature on anyone older.

Plus, he'd been quite willing to join in the speculation of what the P stood for, prepared to point out that it couldn't possibly mean Patriarch as Louisa was most definitely a female.

...the airborne cauldron cake kind of spoiled that opportunity though, didn't it?

"..."

He wasn't altogether opposed to immobilization. If his opinion counted for anything.

Mika smiled innocently up at Louisa as told her it meant patriarch. The look on the big girl's face was priceless when she saw how Mika had flung that cauldron cake. "I wasn't trying to launch it at anyone" she blinked three times as though she was shocked it had happened. "I was aiming for my own mouth" she frowned at the fork. "I guess I hit it too hard" she shrugged her shoulder.

Maybe adding a little dose of innocent act to this could help? The girl looked over to Louisa her eyes large. "Though there is one person I wouldn't mind hitting with those...my sister told me he had a girlfriend and still flirted with her - she didn't like that." Mika nodded. "Some guy with a million names...Brazilian or something"...leaning over to Lousia she added "I want to get back at him for hurting his girlfriend I don't know who she was though".

Of course Mika didn't know she was talking to the same ex-girlfriend of said Slytherin.

Mika nodded when Violet said sibling rivalries sounded frustrating. They were indeed. "I like having siblings I do - its just India and I never saw eye to eye she was too...girly for me" It was true. Mika was the tough little innocent-looking girl of the family.

"Aw I'm glad I can call you Vy - its pretty and easier to say than Vi-violet" she stumbled on the name a little.

While Joanna was watching the sorting ceremony, she noticed at the corner of her eye, that the small and adorable firstie that sat next to her was waving at her. Turning gleefully towards the girl with her wide friendly grin, she answered back with a small gentle wave, "Hi." JoJo loved young children, they always made her smile and giggle. Probably because they were always super-hyper... like her sometimes.

Joanna giggled when the firstie introduced herself. She just couldn't help herself this girl was so cute that it made her giggle. "I'm Joanna," she began saying, lately she noticed that she is beginning to lose her American accent and is getting the snobbish British one. "But you can call me JoJo or Joe," she added.

Taylor sighed a little. Tay's face showed the delight she was feeling when Damon apoligzed. Now if only MAxwell would apoligze also.... then maybe today wouldnt be so bad..... She sighed at the thought, knowing that, that might be impossible.

You ok? whats with screaming out my name.. people might think there is something wrong.. There isnt anything wrong is there?" he asked a little worried once she was done yelling out his name.. she seems to bit in a little bit of a better mood than when I had seen her last.. so thats good.

"Who cares what people think?" Lilly said, impatiently. "Do you forgive me or do I have to scream and hug you more?" The most important question of them all. She was perfectly happy to carry on, she didn't get a sore throat easily, and was probably able to go on all day, but she got bored very quickly so that would be hard unless she had a book to read while doing it or something. Second most important question. "Do you think Rupert would let me build a treehouse if I owled him?"

Louisa's hand grabbed the younger girl's fork and pushed it away the other side, where Nealan happened to be sitting. He wasn't going to use it as a launcher, was he? Nope. Probably not. "Listen, honey.." There's a first for everything, right? That was Louisa's first in 'sweet talking kids'. "There is this... giant dungeon with damp slimy walls.." she lowered her voice to spice up her telltale, ".. creepy spiders getting into your pretty blonde braids and nice fitting clothes." Pause to let this horror sink, "Sometimes when someone is naughty, a professor gets them down there." Louisa was right about one thing. The slimy walls. Her detention last year was a disgusting experience no thanks to PAULIE.

Stealing a sideways glance at Nealan, curious to see his reaction to this - he wasn't going to get scared or taken aback by the school, was he? She should clarify things later. Looking back at the girl, she sighed and went on gentler, "Just.. don't eat flying food, okay?" Or use kitchen utensils as weapons.

WAAAAAAIT A MINUTE! Freeze and rewind that! Louisa's jaw dropped open as the blonde girl whispered her secret revenge on, none other, Joao. Brazilian with a million names, that was definitely Joao!

"No." She ordered simply, "We don't do revenge in school. Just..." although the sixth year was curious to hear the whole story... who was this girl's sister? And why on earth did she want to take revenge from Joao's girlfriend A. K. A. Louisa Carter? "Just forget it, okay? I'll be watching you." She pointed with two fingers at her eyes and then toward the younger girl's eyes. Louisa can be creepy.

Back to the boy sitting so quietly nearby, "Gotta love the shiny badge, huh?" She rolled her eyes and smiled weakly, "So did you take the same subjects we do here?" Louisa's arm snaked around the younger girl's shoulders to hold her where she sat.

This young 'claw was not going anywhere.

Amelia smiled at the other girl again. The fact she giggled just made her little blond eyebrow raise upwards sharply. She was in shock pure shock. "Alright I'll call you JoJo and you can call me Mika" she smiled. "Well the name's Amelia Kaikoura Johanson...but thats long and I don't like long so Mika or Mia" she smiled brightly. Her cheeks dimpling as she spoke.

SPOILER!!: Louisa

When Louisa described the dungeons it didn't scare Mika at all. In fact it intrigued her - creepy things were kind of her thing. Even if she looked like the innocent sweet little thing anyone and everyone would love to hug. She'd be more at home watching spiders make webs...maybe not the slimy skulls.

"...that sounds COOL" her eyes were sparkling with rapture. She was SO going to love those dungeons...exploring dark crevices was well, amazing? Who didn't want to collect spiders and feed them bits of dead flies...well anyone but her that is. "imagine all the undiscovered things down there - slime types you can use in potions" she was excited to say the least.

Gurrrrrrrrgle.

That was loud. Turning back to the bigger girl she asked "When does the food come?"

The look on Louisa's face right before she had asked the question was priceless. She knew this million-named-boy didn't she? Mika chuckled. "Is the guy as bad as i've heard...because I won't reek havvoc on him if he's not....if he is...well the black lake seems like a great place for his trunk to end up" she smirked.

She'd just talk to the lovely house elves into helping her. "And fine, fine...I see you'll keep an eye on me so i'll be careful. I promise." She was lying of course. She wasn't going to be innocent. Just look it.

Mika was hungry, excited, and restless. She just couldn't help but BOUNCE a bit on the seat as she waited her little legs kicking forward and backward as she sat there.
