The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

Marie looked over at Minnie. "Anytime Minnie." Marie said, a bright smile on her face.
"I love it... it is so pretty and the tune is absolutely perfect. I couldnt hear one pitch out of tune." She grinned and laughed. "My fingers are itching to play it again." Taylor saw the confusion on Lily's face and sighed.

Louisa's eyes were narrowed at the firstie as her expression got excited over the supposedly creepy tale. She might as well have told her about Cinderella. SCOFF. "What's your name?" She was so going to keep track on this one. Nothing, I repeat, NOTHING was more dangerous than a hyper firstie that thinks spiders and damp slimy walls cool. Louisa was not going to let professor Vee gets mad at her for letting some kid drown, gets eaten or die when she was responsible. She should warn Eino about this one, too. "I'm Louisa, your Ravenclaw Prefect." She corrected that Patriarch thing. Twasn't funny anymore. Hmph.
When the young girl promised though, Louisa shot her a suspicious look before slowly faltering her expressions to gentleness. "'kay. Maybe you'll tell me your sister's name? I might recognize her." And unpuzzle the puzzle of Joao? Probably. "Food will be here oonce the headmaster gives his speech. Shouldn't be too long." The Prefect answered nodding at Tate as she mentioned headmaster.
Back to Nealan. Louisa listened to him closely. The boy was very not average. He intrigued her in every possible way, it wasn't healthy to her curiousity at all. She felt like swimming deep into his head right this moment. "Like what? What are your biases?" Forgetting about the little girl for a moment, Louisa shifted on her seat to face him completely. "Does that mean you come from a magic-aware family?" Like.. a pureblood one that knows who to hire as tutors for their son and what subjects he needs to specialize in? Coz Louisa's mom didn't even know that their magic wasn't like X-men's mutation.

When Louisa said food would be there once the speech happened she couldn't help but wait anxiously for the speech to happen. She wanted FOOD. Food sounded good savory food not sweets.
"You two want cookies?" She asked smiling innocently as she put the rainbow cookies on the table. What? It helped people not feel Hangry didn't it?
"It does." Neal nodded. He knew there were students here whose parents were both Muggles, he knew this, but he still found it hard to believe that they'd known nothing about magic until the age of ten or eleven. But then, some children who'd been raised in a magical family knew nothing about toasters or telephones, so balance seemed the best route. "I've more of a preference for the practical side of magic, or the theoretical magic that can be tested."
So not Divination, basically. Though, on the chance that the subject was Louisa's favourite, he didn't say it, "My uncle is a fairly prominent wizarding defense lawyer in London, so I've learned a great deal about wizarding law and history. Both my parents have their degrees in researching magical creatures, though my mother prefers researching non-magical animals, and the old woman who lives with us has a borderline-unhealthy obsession with herbology and potions, so she had no issue with teaching me."
He barely finished reciting the list before saying, "And no, I wouldn't like a cookie, but thank you anyway."

Violet turned back to Amelia. She had just heard her tell another girl that she could be called Mika. "So, I can call you Mika then? That's an interesting nickname for Amelia. It's so cool!" She said excitedly.
"So are you liking Hogwarts so far?" When she was a first year, she was absolutely terrified by how large Hogwarts was. There were so many rooms and places to explore that sometimes Violet still got lost in them if she didn't have someone to walk with down the halls. "We could explore different places together or just sit in the girl's dormitory after the feast though the food hasn't come yet."
Her stomach growled loudly and she looked sadly at her empty gold plate that was in front of her. When were the little elves going to bring out the food?
"Yeah a picnic does sound great especially one with maxwell and me playing our instruments together." She sighed happily and smiled. Tay nodded to MAxwell. Taylor didnt say anything about the apology. She didnt care anymore, she realized. Tay was just going to ignore the little fights between them and just leave them be.

Lily turned back to the girl that she didn't think that she knew after she had spoken with Violet. After a little while, it dawned on her as to who it was. "OH!...... Sorry about that Tay... I didn't recognize you." That was pretty obvious though.. "You cut your hair... and with the piercing and all..." She muttered as she blushed a bit because she had failed to recognize one of her friends.

"I really liked charms and DADA...and astronomy..." but it seemed like the astronomy teacher was not at the feast and the charms professor definitely looked different.
She laughed and smiled, "Yeah..... cut and streaked it." Tay grinned. "What do you think?" Taylor shaked her head a little to show off the royal blue streaks and the hair cut.

Tay got out the scroll and read the message. She looked up at Damon and nodded, showing that she understood. Taylor wrote back, I dont see why he thinks we are too affectionate.... She sighed and continued writing, It is just how we grew up.... We grew up in a land that we show respect and friendship by affections, like kissing the cheek, and forehead, holding hands for a second or hugging.... But he is American and Americans dont do that..... Again she sighed then looked up at Damon.
He nodded in agreement, I know and at times, I'm sorry. I do forget what seems normal to us can come off as romantic to him. That's why I'm trying to be more cautious, I don't want him mad again already, the school year just started. He smiled kindly when Minerva joined them. Catching her unease he wanted to tell her not to worry but held his tongue. She was trying to hide it, not his place to bring it up.

Tay looked down and sighed at the scroll, Cant he just deal with it? We are close so what? It doesnt mean anything. I mean not having to watch myself with you.... With that she put her scroll down and put her face in her hands.

Why was he so good at reading her. She moved her blue hair off her shoulders trying to fidget without it being obvious.
Damon sighed and looked up at her, "Yeah... Doesn't mean anything..." He said half-heartedly. He looked back down, he may as well drop hints, she'd find out soon enough. Extremely soon actually... He sighed at the idea. Suddenly feeling more nervous than ever about telling her how he truely felt.
