The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

WHERE WAS THE PUFFFFFFFFFFFFS?
"SOPHIEEEEEE!" He shouted as soon as he saw her. He flailed his arms about again. That seemed to be how he greeted Sophie these days. Theodore rushed over to the puff table and took a seat by her.
"I'm in smelly Slytherin." He said in a sad voice.
"It almost put me in Hufflepufffffffff!" If only he hadn't opened his mouth about wanting Gryffindors. Sighing, Theo banged his head against the table and stayed there.

Louisa frowned at the girl. She placed a gently feather-like hand on her shoulder as a comforting gesture - no, really, she was gentle to people in pain. Most of the time. "No, Nessie. There is a reason healers asked you to wear it. Whatever that is. Just try to focus on something else like..." Errr...? Louisa looked around quickly expecting clowns or a circus to emerge from the ground or something.
With a sigh, the Prefect just turned to look at Nessie and attempted to make a friendly conversation, "Let's chat, okay? It'll help you forget about it alright and with time, you won't even remember you're wearing it." And no, Louisa had no idea whether that was true or not. But it was like every other new habit, it takes time to get used to. Right? "Like.. let's talk about your new year at Hogwarts.." Louisa paused thoughtfully, staring at the red head, "... I don't think I know what year you're in now." She remembered Nessie from when she was an ickle little firstie but the girl grew up so much, she was almost as tall as Louisa. D:
And now? Ness felt a hand gently touch her shoulder. What was happening? It was sweet and all, but the red head felt just a tiny bit awkward now. She ignored the feeling as most of her mind was busy with the pain anyway.
Here came the lecture. At first Ness wanted to zone out completely but she listened instead. It was a good thing it was short and simple, otherwise she would have gotten bored. She couldn't stand those long silly lectures some people gave. They were fairly boring and boring was not something Ness liked. Anyway, the girl had a point. "I guess your right, its just annoying." As Louisa turned to look somewhere, Nessie's eyes followed. Was there suppossed to be anything interesting to look at? Cause Ness saw nothing.
Or at least she thought it was nothing...
There was a something shiny that cought, Nessie's attention. It was..a badge. Not just any badge a Prefect badge! Before she could blurt out any sort of congratulations, the eagle spoke again.
Chat..um that would be kinda weird, but not a bad idea. "Yeah, erm..okay. I hope your right." This wouldn't be too bad right? It would be fine, they would talk and the pain would hopefully go away right? She sure hoped so. Good, Louisa had began with a topic, so that wouldn't be a problem. "Well, to be honest I don't know what year your in now either." What was it fifth, sixth maybe even seventh? Ness needed to start remembering these things. "I'm in my fourth year now, which means next year O.W.Ls." That was rather scary to think about, but Ness shook it off her mind and looked at Louisa's badge again. "So your, Prefect?" she asked just a tiny smile apearing on her face.
Laura looked at Sophie and then Alyssa. "Okay then where is this unhappy first year?" Laura wanted to have a few words with them. "Maybe we should tell them we won all three trophies last term and that will cheer them up." Or maybe Laura could pie the person.
Sophie blinked twice. She pondered a bit if it was a good idea to show Laura who the boy was. Her friend could get into trouble as... usual. But before she realised, she had already gestured towards the angry boy. Uh oh...

I fell like they're always scheming something. he whispered back. not many I can trust. They'd all throw him into Man-Eating-Plants if they had the chance, he was sure of it.

It's been good, Lot's have changed since I've seen you last, aside from my luck at least. They would have A LOT to catching up to do. Oakey wanted to tell Mordy everything great and terrible that has happened since the Slytherin disappeared last term. What about you? What've you been up to?

He seems to ease a little, as the girl still stayed frindly in voice and shrugged as an answer, his view going as far up as his thumps after he looked at her face, or lets say her chin, for a blink of an eye. Than suddenly as a hand was offered to him with the words "Hi there. Welcome to Hufflepuff. My name is Alyssa but you can call me Lyssie if you want." all of the ease seems to crumble, he stares at the hand for a second unsure what to do, blushes into a dangerous looking color, shook it weakly and fast and locked his stare to his empty plate. "I am Bear" with his russian accent

The girl smiled warmly at those and answered Nessie, "Yeah, my advice is not to worry over OWLs just yet. You know, you'll have next year to live the pressure and all that. Just enjoy your year now." Was she rambling? "I am in my sixth year. Freshly out of OWLs torment." Cue nervous chuckle.
Louisa's eyes instintively followed Nessie's down to her chest. Oh! Right! The badge, "Yeah, crazy, huh?" She smirked at the younger girl. "I can't say I expected it. It's kind of... weird, you know. Getting it after my best friend Vashti." Louisa touched the badge as if she could feel Vashti's fingers touching it before her too.
Pause. Louisa CRAVED asking the Huffie about her injured back but she'd promised not to pry. So she wasn't going to do it today. Nope, she was going to keep her word. She could do that.
"So.. uhh.." How did you injure your back? How was your summer in the hospital? What in Merlin's Beard was she supposed to talk to Ness without bringing it up. "...do you have a boyfriend?" WHAAAA? D:

Hey Nate, Long time no see. He had hoped to see Nate a few times during the summer but his was occupied with not being taken by his Adoptive Squib parents, that abandoned him when he was little. It's seems like only yesterday we were sitting here at the end of term feast
Oakey listened as Nate pointed out that there was a new Charms Professor. He looked up to see who it was. Guess that means we won't have a capture the flag game this year. Oakey joked

Alec Summers was back at Hogwarts!
The twelve year old couldn't be happier at the prospect of being back in the huge castle. This was great! Sure, he missed home and his Dad, but he had another awesome year to look forward to! And it was going to be a lot more awesome than his first year, he knew it!
For one, this was the first time he was able to get to Hogwarts without going on those boats! This time, the horseless carriages were used! And they were awesome! Also, he had made some awesome new friends this year and hopefully, they could see a lot more of each other over the following year. No way was he going to go months without seeing them at all.
Speaking of friends, where were they? The table was packed with lots of people, some of which he recognised, but they were talking to other people. And he wasn't going to disturb people at all. Alec wandered along the table until he found an empty spot. His wriggled into the spot and sat down, a small smile spreading across his face. It felt so good to be back!
Bears stomach actualy growles and forced by instincts, he grabbed a slice of lasange and put it into his plate, while still trying to be as invisible as possible, a complicated task considered he is spoken to.

“Well, I can thank my parents for this face.” He said pointing at it with a snort. “Really, your owl made a good job. Scarface.” He joked as he remembered his own owl. Yeah he should take a hike up to one of the towers and check up on Xchylar—and probably send a letter to his Father. Just to make sure he’s okay. "What did you do to it anyway? Your owl looked shocked-- well more of petrified when I saw you in the train..." he said as he looked at his forehead. "Maybe a little more prodding from your pet and you'll be sporting a lightning scar." he shrugged. Pssh. Harry Potter? Really?
“I had a rough year last year. I had to transfer to Durmstrang while my father was being treated.” Really not an exciting year for dear old Mordy. He frowned as the nasty memories came back. But it was too early to be gloomy. “It really feels good to be back though.” He said with a nod, and tried to sound enthusiastic. “So, anything interesting you guys did last year?” he said as he eyed his own table, wondering if the first years retaliated with the one who threw a cauldron cake at their table.
Yep. This is going to be fun term.

She was so happy to be back at Hogwarts, and now she seen Ness and eeeek. There were only a few people left to see for the first day of her second year back at Hoggiewarts to be complete. She wandered around the great hall looking for someone she knew or maybe even some new friends, she liked new friends. Not that there was anything wrong with her current friends because there WASNT. nu-huh. She liked her current friends. heh..
It was then Brooke spotted someone, someone who was right now one of her favourite people ever, someone who had saved her on the train. Someone who she liked to call Superman hero Special Alec. yeeey! The blonde giggled, playing with her hair as she skipped towards him.
She plopped down in the seat next to him and waved. "Hiya Superman Hero Special Alec!" she giggled. Yeeys! She began to sway a little bit, giggling a very girly giggle. "How are you?!" not that it had been very long since she'd last seen him, she was going to make sure she didn't fall on him this time though.

Ameliah laughed, "Only if I need to." she teased. She saw Mel and Bouncers trying to scamper off. Let's see if I can master this... she took out her wand and carefully aimed. ACCIO!!! she thought hard in her head.
And so she remained like that for several minutes, thinking and thinking.
After a few more tries, the puffs magically zoomeed back over to where everyone else was, looking bewildered. "OH YEAH!!!!!!" Ameliah yelled, pumping her fist excitedly.

“I had a rough year last year. I had to transfer to Durmstrang while my father was being treated.” Really not an exciting year for dear old Mordy. He frowned as the nasty memories came back. But it was too early to be gloomy. “It really feels good to be back though.” He said with a nod, and tried to sound enthusiastic. “So, anything interesting you guys did last year?” he said as he eyed his own table, wondering if the first years retaliated with the one who threw a cauldron cake at their table.
Yep. This is going to be fun term.
You had to go to Durmstrang!?!? Oakey was never to fond of hearing about that school, it always seemed so menacing up there, not that he would know. What's it like up there? he asked then realized he had forgotten a tiny detail to what Mordred had just said. His tone got just a little more serious. Is your dad okay, now? Oakey could relate slightly to worrying about father figures Harvey was hospitalized a few years back because of the Quidditch accident that left him crippled.
Tons of crazy things happened last term, mordy, TONS! Oakey's voice raised at the last word he spoke. A lot of the Forrest Creatures came out onto our grounds. I had to fight off a Blast-Ended-Skrewt twice. he lied slightly, It was actually Professor Jenkins who had come to the rescue before the Skrewt decided to run-away, the first time. Then Professor Williamson who used Oakey's wand to fight it off during a COMC class.
It's great to have you back Mordy. Oakey said with a large smile.

“Yep.” He nodded as he massaged the back of his neck. “It was great—at first.” He said as he stared at the plate in front of him. “You really don’t want to be there.” He smirked as he imagined Oakey in that school. He definitely will not last the first day. “Father’s fine now, but he has to stay in Germany.” Xchylar will hate him for making him deliver a letter that far. “Do you have brothers? Or cousins?” he forgot to ask this question the last time. It still is painful for the boy to remember what happened to him and to his cousins back at Durmstrang. He was just happy he has friends like Oakey, who he now sees as a brother.
“Whoa! Don’t get too excited.” Mordred raised both hands with a surprised expression on his face. Oakey can go from being mellow to frenzy. “Wait, a full grown Blast-Ended Skrewt?” he asked surprised. “Who were you with?” he said smiling. He knew very well Oakey freaked out. The mere shaking of the armour scares the hell out of him.

Letting out a small sigh, Ness turned her usual a pout into one of her weak smiles, but then almost at once it faded as Louisa spoke again. Okay? Yes..well maybe in pain? Merlin yes! Her whole back was screaming pain! In fact it was so bad, it was even worse then the headache that was having. She bit her lip. "Yeah, I'm fine..just wish I could take this silly thingoff." Oops! The last bit slipped out on its own. Nobody was supposed to know about the back brace, but clearly Louisa would now ask.
Oh well, too late now.
The longer Nessie looked at the Prefects the schemes she began thinking of. Problem wa, would she be brave enough to do any of them? Time would tell, right? Yeah it would and that might be in quite a lot of time. Nothing to worry or stress about now. She had a whole year ahead of her right? Yep she did.
Pouting, the Hufflepuff looked around the great hall some mall. Nothing too interesting going on, or at least nothing she could see. Just a lot of noise and talking. It was so loud that when Lyssie called out Nessie's name, she barely heard it, but then she saw her friend and got up to hug her. "Lyssie!" she said with a small smile on her face. It was good to see her Hogwarts friends again.
Summer..well it was kinda a bummer. Only the end of it really to be honest. Ness wasn't the kind to complain though, so instead she continued smiling and decide to be just a little bit more positive. "Well it was good, I went to France for a while." That was after all the best part of her holiday. The country was beautiful and it was great seeing her family again. "How about yours?" she asked smiling a little more.
Quidditch? Ness groaned just a little as she was reminded of her back brace again. Well..yeah she was excited. Question was would this thing be off before then? She honestly hoped so, cause she didn't see how she'd fly with it on and she was really hoping to make the team again. "Yeah course I am." she said trying her best to sound enthusiastic. "and you?" The answer to that was rather obvious.
Alyssa heard Nessie groan but wasn't sure why she did that. "I'm sorry I guess I should be careful when I hug people. I tend to forget that sometimes I use too much strength.
As for me, summer wasn't that great like I hoped it would. My Mom's only brother and his entire family, except for my twin cousins, were killed in an auto accident, so it's been really rough for all of us. But I don't want to depress you with all the details."

Maybe this'll scar up in the shape of a lightning bolt and I'll be famous. He'd be sure to thank his owl if that ever really happens, which it won't.
It's been good, Lot's have changed since I've seen you last, aside from my luck at least. They would have A LOT to catching up to do. Oakey wanted to tell Mordy everything great and terrible that has happened since the Slytherin disappeared last term. What about you? What've you been up to?
Alyssa heard what Oakey told Sophie and the glance he gave her. She motioned zipping her lips indicating that his secret was safe with her. Then she heard the bet that challenging her with and laughed, "Oakey, somehow I don't think that you will win this bet, because I already have friends in Slytherin and somehow I think that you have already made one. So that bet isn't going to count. We're going to have to come up with another one. Let's see. The first one to the Common Room tonight. That I think is safe enough a bet. What you do say? We'll think about what the winner will get later."she grinned at her comrade-in-bets.

She was so happy to be back at Hogwarts, and now she seen Ness and eeeek. There were only a few people left to see for the first day of her second year back at Hoggiewarts to be complete. She wandered around the great hall looking for someone she knew or maybe even some new friends, she liked new friends. Not that there was anything wrong with her current friends because there WASNT. nu-huh. She liked her current friends. heh..
It was then Brooke spotted someone, someone who was right now one of her favourite people ever, someone who had saved her on the train. Someone who she liked to call Superman hero Special Alec. yeeey! The blonde giggled, playing with her hair as she skipped towards him.
She plopped down in the seat next to him and waved. "Hiya Superman Hero Special Alec!" she giggled. Yeeys! She began to sway a little bit, giggling a very girly giggle. "How are you?!" not that it had been very long since she'd last seen him, she was going to make sure she didn't fall on him this time though.
Alec was pretty sure something was wrong. First of all, this table wasn't as packed as it used to be. Last year, he could barely move in his seat and he liked that. Now? Now he could spread his legs out wide and pretend he was flying. And second of all, where were half the Hufflepuffs he knew? Like Messer. That fan friend of his wasn't... lost was he? Hm...
But then someone came and sat down next to him! To talk to him! Now he couldn't pretend he was Superman flying across the sky. Alec turned his head and grinned at the blonde girl. "Hey Superwoman Hero Special Brooke!" They had such cool nicknames for each other! No one else was superman or superwoman here! Just them. And they were out to save Hogwarts!
And his hands were ready in case he needed to save Brooke... because she had started swaying again. Maybe she did that a lot? It didn't matter, he would always be there to save her, just in case. How was he? "I'm great! I'm so excited about this year!" It was their second year at Hogwarts! How great was that? "How are you?"
Laura looked at Oakey and smiled. "OAKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Laura screamed as she hugged her, she hadn't seen him for ages and now she could spend loads of time with the boy and she would beat him in a singing contest, then she suddenly laughed and smiled. "Yo, Yo, Yo." Laura giggled. "Everyone should be happy to be in the greatest house in the world HUFFLEPUFF." Laura needed a word with this firstie.

Brooke wasn't sure about something. So, she hadn't spent much of the last start of term feast visible to anyone but Dar, but she was sure there were more people here, atleast there were more legs under the table. The blonde quickly ducked her head under to see if there were more legs under the table than there were heads above the table but she didnt think there were. EEK. PEOPLEWEREMISSING.
Brooke returned a big smile as Alec grinned at her, she liked Alec. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to like him because Alyssa seemed to think boys liked him different to how girls liked him but she didn't understand but nonetheless she liked him. She giggled at him calling ehr superwoman, not protesting because she was too busy smiling, even though she hadnt saved anyone. "fanks." she giggled some more, blushing for no apparent reason.
"Imm'a make sure i dont fall this time." she nodded firmly, continuing to sway which probably wasn't going to help the hole "not falling" situation, she'd of been a lot better off if she'd just sit still. hmm. He was great ?! that was great, so instead of just thinking it she voiced it aloud. "Thats great!" It wass. "Im good too fanks, im super duper excited." 'Cos Hogwarts was exciting and what not."[/b]
