Ella couldn't believe it was already time for the feast again, especially because she could recall her first feast so vividly. It was weird being back but a good weird. A GREAT weird actually. She was eager to see friends and eat food. Delicious food. Yum.

The second year skipped into the great hall, noting that the Hufflepuff table was already quite full. Her own fault really, she had been stalling a bit before coming in. Her stomach was still upset over Logan not coming back. Not seeing him over at the Gryffindor table would be hard but she'd carry on like she always did. Spotting an empty seat at her own table, she quickly sat down and looked around, giving the Hufflepuffs near her a wide smile. It was good to be back around her second family. "Hey all." She said cheerfully, pulling her water goblet towards her and taking a sip.

Minerva saw a familiar face sitting alone. "Hello, how was your summer." she remembered seeing and even speaking with her a few times last term.

"Yup, she is right, making plans for this year is very f-u-n." She giggled.

Minerva looked at him for a second and then shook her head, "You know what I'm over it, so never mind." she gave a weak smile. She decided that she would rather not know the real answer to her question. She looked away and then pushed her hair out of the way letting go of his hand. "So got any new poems you want to share?" she gave another weak smile hoping to change the subject and get rid of the awkwardness she suddenly felt.

Minerva looked around. "I'm ready for the feast to be done. I'm so tired." Minerva rubbed her temples again. She still hadn't told Harvey about everything that had happened during the day and she knew he wouldn't forget. Maybe it was better if she didn't talk to him about her problems. Keeps this nice and fun..

Louise looking up at the girl who had spoke to her "it was ok I guess a bit said, I had to live with my Nan as my mum and dad died last term" the trouble is that she is going far away next term, I may have to go with her, but I like it here, She signed" how was your summer

Harvey looked at Butterfly. "G..good r.. role model? oh boy!! How did I know this was going to happen?" he chuckled as he questioned himself. As Butterfly giggled

Harvey just looked at the flames. "W..well that what I th..thought.. you n..need wands for m..magic. Yeah a whole new power" he said as he watched bewildered as she tried to control it.. what sort of magic was this? He had not seen anything like it in his two years here.. did Ameliah have some sort of secret power she didnt know about



Harvey looked at Minnie as she laughed.. "Yeah so many girls .. and many many more plans" he corrected her as he looked around at all 3 of them.. oh yeah!! he was in trouble!!. "Yeah!! we are all friends" he said suspiciously.. he wondered what sort of plans Minnie was making. uh oh .. Butterfly saying fun like that was NOT a good sign.. but he will play along "Yeah I agree it will be fun" he forced a smile onto his face...
He turned to Minnie.. "You are? Are you ok? I dont know why.. but you saying you are tired doesnt sound so good." he said.. what did happen on that train? why is she so tired? maybe he should ask the others what happened.. cause he wasnt getting any answers out of this girl he thought to himself.

Minerva felt sorry for the girl, she understood better then anyone. "I'm sorry, well if she moves you could still come to hogwarts. People come from all over the world. You just spend your summer and holiday's with her. My summer was... interesting." that was the best way to put it. "I know we have met a few times before, your Lousie, right?"

Minerva looked at him and then looked away. Her voice went to a whisper so low he might have even heard her really. "It's just been a long day." her ocean blue eyes met his and the look of exhaustion and a bit of frustration showed through.

"yeah i guss it would be sad to leave here, it is fun, yeah and my name is Louise let's hope we win the house cup again this year, I was not much in class, I was recoving from a back Injury,

This Ravenclaw was right, like most of them were. OWLs were still a year away, and there was no need to stress, not yet at least. "Yeah, you've got a point. Its not worth worrying about something for next year now." But still, Ness needed to focus on her studies, much more then she did last year.The work got harder and harder. Sixth year? Really? Ness could have sworn she remembered Louisa being older. "Guess its a good thing your not doing NEWTs yet, hey?" she said with a small giggle. Though NEWTs must have been extra difficult.

Crazy it was! Louisa must have been quite surprised about it, but in a good way. "I get what you mean, you've got big footsteps to follow, you know? I believe you can do it though." Now that Vashti was brought up, Ness had a small yearning to see the ex Hogwartians, but she knew that wasn't possible now. Maybe sometime over the holidays, she would. "..and um..congratulations!" she added quickly before she could be looked at as rude.

No Headmaster's speech yet eh? Out of habit, the puff began twirling a piece of her hair between her fingers, but stopped almost at once.

Has she heard Louisa right?!!?!!? A..a BOYFRIEND? From shock, Nessie's mouth opened just a little at that word. Why..why would the prefect ask her such a question so randomly? "Um..err..um.." Speechless..thats what she was and she was blushing now too. Her cheeks began to grow redder by the second. Truth be told, Ness knew the answer to the question, she just couldn't bring herself to say it which may have been because she didn't like the asnwer. "..erm..um..er..I..I don't..erm..somethingkindahappened." Now she was in trouble. With that last bit, if Louisa was acting normal, then surely there'd be tons of questions.

Gahhh! Too late now. The fourth year began to look like a tomato.

Harvey had to strain his ears to hear what she had said.. long day? he raised an eyebrow before lowering it again.. he nodded "Yeah I think it has been a long day for everyone.. you know with all the rush to get to Kings Cross station.. and loading up the train and the VERY long train journey to get from London to here.. it can be a long day for anyone" he smiled.. that was a long day.. going straight from the South of the country to the North.

Minerva smiled "Well I bet you will do brilliant this term then. If we all work hard, I bet we can win the cup again. "

Minerva shrugged, "Yeah it was a long train ride." longer then she could even say. She looked around to see what was going on at the staff table. "You see Justin anywhere?"

Harvey watched as she looked around.. she always did that when she was bored.. that was when she usually got out her wand and changed his hair.. like that pink mohawk.. he was lucky that people hadnt made fun of him cause of his pink hair.. good thing she had changed it back "No .. I havent seen him anywhere" he said looking around.. that was nice.. her asking about Justin.. this showed that no matter what.. friends stuck by each other.

yeah let's all work hard and win the house cup" she smiled at her" when i leave I would like to be a nurse and help people, I wonder if I could help out in the hopital wing"

Louisa was right, yeah of course. The girl had this smug smile on her face for about one second before Nessie's comment about NEWT's followed. Louisa's smile quickly faltered to a worried one, "Yeah, I have to study hard this year though. Choose a career too to know what subjects to focus on and what to just study regularly." Cue dramatic sigh. "I'm too tired to think about this now, though." She chuckled weakly...

... the humor didn't last for long, though. Nessie was making those weird sounds and started stuttering all of a sudden. Not to mention her face, it was all... red. Even Gryffies weren't that red. When the younger girl finally spoke, or murmured, Louisa scooted closer to her and nodded understandingly. Something happened. Wasn't that always the answer? Heh. "Well?" she urged the girl to go on further. It seemed to trouble her quite a lot and Louisa couldn't help but remember herself in her fourth year with a broken heart... or well, messed up hormones.

And to encourage the flustered Nessie, Louisa gave her a teeny secret, "You know, I've had a lot going on this summer too. Ended up with my best friend now." she smiled at the Hufflepuff, not widely or too happily. Because Adam and Louisa were still new. She had no idea how their relationship was going to shape like.

So... time for Nessie to share. Right?

Was it really Adanna's third feast? Already? Was it two years ago that she had walked over to this very table for the first time, with the sound of the Sorting Hat's placement ringing in her ears?
She picked up her spoon, turning it around and around in her fingers, remembering the soiled cutlery scattered on the table two years back.
The gleam in the spoon acted as if it had never happened, but she remembered.
She looked down the table at the spot where she had sat then. A group of chattering first-years was there now. Among them, she imagined a frail young girl, with a freckly flushed face and light curls sticking up every which way.
That seemed like forever ago, but yesterday all the same.

Is this how she'd feel her seventh year? Did Eleanora, her sixth-year sister, feel it yet?
But Adanna was only thirteen. What did she know yet? A lot could happen in four years.
As for this year... This was the year she'd been looking forward to since her first day. Now that she was thirteen, she was allowed to try out for Quidditch. Her mother had set the rule during Eleanora's first year, fearing to sport would be too dangerous for a child of eleven. Adanna's careful sister never did attend a try-out, however.
But Adanna wanted more than almost anything to be on the team. Maybe she'd be a Seeker like her father? Or a Keeper like her grandmother?

Whatever the case, she was determined and ready for another year.
She rested her chin in her hands as she became lost in thought, dreaming of flying high in the air with her name on her back.

Daisy looked up from her meal, seeing the table had filled considerably since she had arrived. Smiling, she spotted Ella, a second year who she had met last year. She seemed friendly enough, despite the age gap between the girls, and Daisy thought it would be nice to get to know her a bit more. After all, she had got on with some of the older students like Kita. And whatever anyone tried to argue, the houses - Hufflepuff especially, were just like one big, yellow family.
'Hi Ella!' She grinned at the girl, 'how was your summer?'

[Louisa the interrogator! xD] True! Louisa had to start thinking about careers and all that adult stuff. That must have been frightening to think about and to think that next year was the Ravenclaws last year that must have been scary too. Nessie respected Louisa's wishes and stopped talking about the school work and all.

GAHH!!! NOW IT WAS TIME TO PANIC! Blinking, Ness looked at the prefect. Well? Well she..she didn't know what to say. Once again the speechless-ness went over her. This time not even a word of hesitationh came out. She was completely silent her mouth hanging open, trying to say something that she just couldn't. Feeling a little ashames, the red head looked away at one of the other tables.

What to say? What to say?

Then it hit her like crazy. 'Best friends.' At those words her heart beat just a little faster, her hands became sweatier and her cheeks brighter then ever. These were the kind of moments where she just wanted to go and find a rock to hide under. Though clearly there weren't any around, which was why Nessie faced Louisa again. This could her escape route, she could talk about Louisa's best friend instead of hers. Perfect! "Really? ..You..you ended up..with with your best friend?" she said a hesitantly. "How?" There had to be a secret to that too right?

Now hopefully this escape plan would work.

Alyssa smiled her thanks."Thanks for understanding Minnie. Yes I would prefer to talk in the common room. Thanks for offering a listening ear."



Alyssa smiled at Nate's enthusiasm. "I'm glad to hear that you will be trying out for Quidditch this year again. It was just unfortunate that you didn't make it this year. Hey! maybe you'll replace me as Beater and this year I'll be sittingon the stands cheering you guys on. Just remember, practice as often as you can and I'm sure you'll get picked this year." Alyssa encouraged the younger boy.



Alyssa blushed when Jory piled on those accolades on her. "I really didn't do anything Jory. I just studied hard and I was just lucky that I was the top point scorer. Who knows there will be someone more hard working than me this year, and besides, I think that I'm going to take it easy a little bit more this year. Being top point scorer for two years in a year was draining, so we'll see. As for the Quidditch team, I'll try out like everybody else just like the Gobstones Team. Whether I get picked will depend on Keefer and the Professor. What about you? Are you going to try to be the top Badger this year?"Alyssa grinned turning the question around and back at him.



Alyssa smiled when she saw her 2nd year fellow Huffie enter the Hall. She was glad that Adeline was here in Hogwarts and she enjoyed their talk on the train, so she waved her over."Hey there Adeline. Would you like to join us?"



Alyssa smiled again. Another familiar face and so she waved her over too. Their table was starting to fill up again and Alyssa was glad to see so many familiar faces. "Hey there Ella. Welcome back to Hogwarts. Come join us."

The girl looked older but Sophie had never seen her around. Hm... "Are you new here?" Maybe she had transfered or something? "Welcome to Hogwarts!!!" She added smiling and throwing her arms up above her head.

"It would be really cool to win the House Cup again indeed!" Sophie said excitedly. She liked when all of her housemates were happy and partying! Then she giggled. The Oakey spewing candy event had freaked her out when it happened, but now it was just a funny memory. "My summer was fun! But I'm glad we're back!" She smiled. "What about yours??"

Sophie smiled at her older friend. "It's good to see you too!" Taller?? Really?? "Cool! Thanks!" That was a compliment, wasn't it? She understood it that way! "I guess I was Hogwarts-sick too!" What a cool expression! Hah! "Oh, my summer was nice! I was abel to see a lot of my old friends, and some of my Hogwarts friends as well!"

"This term is going to be GREAT!!" She added smiling brightly.

Sophie frowned a little. Glenn said she was fine but she didn't look fine! "You don't look alright, Glenn! Wouldn't it be better if you ate and went to get some sleep or something?" Maybe she was just tired. Or homesick... "You miss your family? Is that it?"

Noticing another someone she didn't know, Sophie smiled and waved. "Hello there! I'm Sophie!" The girl looked around her age, but she had never seen her before! "Are you new here? First year?"

OOHH! Look who just arrived!! "ELLAAAAA!!!" Sophie shouted waving her arms around to call the girl's attention. "HELLOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

"Nooo. It was definitely a throw. It smushed into someone else's head. Not mine, though." So that made it a little bit better. It NEARLY hit him, though.

"That's not the point, though... Everyone HAATES THE SLYTHERINS." GUISE, they were throwing sweets at them! Theodore actually sobbed against the table. Why was he such a baby? "And I almost lost us points already so the Slytherins are gonna hate me, TOO!"

SHE WAS EXCITED. COOOL.

"It's quite AMAZIN'." Apart from the Slytherin disappointment.

"I wish I was a puff now." Maybe this called for a new disguise.

Damon shrugged, "Not really," He sighed, "I showed you the newest one yesterday. The one for my mom." He looked at her puzzled, "In other words it's something that has to do with me and Maxwell... I'm guessing." For once he couldn't tell, that was rather new to him.

How? Pfffft, talk about two years of tears, agony and pain. Actually that was not accurately the case - Louisa never cried for this, or felt the 'agony' but..you know, it was hard. Tough. Not easy. The older Ravenclaw stared thoughtfully at the table before starting, "Well, I didn't do much. He told me he had feelings for me and I--" WAAAIT. Wait a minute, that wasn't why Louisa was sitting next to Nessie and trying to let her forget the purple back brace.

HMPH.

The Hufflepuff almost tricked her.

ALMOST. But Louisa wasn't tricked, she broke off and shook her head, "I won't tell you my full story until you share some of yours. I mean, what possible risks are you taking? I'm not going to judge you." Louisa didn't know Nessie that much, or who were Nessie's friends so no telltale.

See? Fair deal.

Minerva rolled her eyes "Here we go again. Here one second gone the next" irritation in her voice. "Well not my problem anymore, now is it." she pulled bouncers near her and began to pet him lost in thought about the days events.

"Well that's interested and a great thing. I don't have a clue what I want to do, but I have plenty of time to figure it out. My goal this term is just to have more fun with friends."

Minerva looked at her "Once the speech happens it usually isn't long after. Oh yeah it's just been a pretty long day and I didn't sleep well last night, so I will be headed to bed as soon as I can tonight."

Minerva smiled and nodded. "Just enjoy happy social time. Oh and Alyssa try not to get any detention in the first week this term." Minerva couldn't keep a straight face teasing her friend, hoping she would take the joke. "I'm joking with you Alyssa. Even if you did, who cares." she kept laughing.

"Well you will have to let me read more when you get them. I like reading your poems." she then sighed, she shouldn't have even thought it let alone bring it up. "No it wasn't about you and Maxwell, it wasn't really even about you and Taylor. Well it was, but wasn't. Just forget it."

Ella looked up from her goblet to see Daisy sitting nearby. Oh! She seemed like a nice girl and she was saying hello which was also nice. Giving the older girl a smile, Ella waved. "Hi Daisy!" As for the question she was asked, Ella shrugged. "Summer was okay. I did get to visit friends which was nice! I missed school a lot though, I'm really glad to be back." Grin! "How was yours?"



Ella was then greeted by another older girl, Alyssa! The second year really liked Alyssa and admired how hard the older girl worked. She smiled and returned the wave. "Hey Alyssa, thanks! I'm really glad to be back. How was your summer?"



GRIN. Ella couldn't help but laugh at Sophie's greeting. It was so perfectly...Sophie. She waved her arms in the air right back and smiled at her friend. "SOPHHHH! Hi!!!" They must have looked silly but who cares, they were back! "How was the end of your summer?!"
