The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

Evil. He was the Chocolate-frog-thrower. MEANIE HEAD. She just stuck out her tongue almost playfully and then turned to other LOVELY gryffindor's near him.
"Hi do you guys want cookies?" She asked smiling kindly. "My mum made them and told me to make new friends - well to meet people who were real and not imaginary" she giggled. She didn't have imaginary friends she was actually pretty nice. She wasn't CRAZY.
Lets face it she was crazy.
SHE WAS BACK WITH THE COOKIES.
Theodore covered his face, expecting them all to be crushed into his hair. Instead she just stuck her tongue out, Theodore watched through his fingers.
"No, us Gryffindors are fine, thank YOU."
Oh yeah. Take yo cookies away from his Gryffindors. HIS GRYFFINDORS.
THEODORE'S.

“This guy should be in Hufflepuff.” He thought to himself. “Be nice, Mordaunt.” He reminded himself in his head. The boy’s population seems to be dwindling in Hogwarts, so he better stick to this kid a tad longer. Girls? They have lots back in Slytherin—so he need not worry.
“You want me to spell my name for you?” Why was he doing this again? Gaaah. “It’s M-O-R-D-R-E-D. Best you write it down if you still can’t pronounce it.” Seriously.
He eyed again his table to see if the ruckus has subsided. Apparently, their table’s infested with first years whose bloods are made of sugar. “You can say a little food fight happened over there.” He smiled at what he witnessed earlier. A first year threw a chocolate frog on the culprit’s face as a form of retaliation. Not really, the best retribution but it definitely was hilarious. He looked down the Gryffindor’s table and found the same boy who threw the chocolate frog. “Huh. Looks like he got tired of their game.” Mordred gestured his head toward the boy.
“So…Zeke. Are you new? I haven’t seen you around before.” He asked as he searched for a chocolate frog in his pocket.
...........oh fudge. It was his NAME. MORDRED. M-O-R-D-R-E-D. "Right, Mordred. Sorry about that." Names. Sigh, Zeke wasn't very good at them at all. To be honest, he's never really made an effort to remember people's names. Not until now. Yessiree, this was a changed guy. Or at least I hope he is.
So he was right. A food fight. Well, feasts will always be feasts. He looked over and followed the direction where Mordred was looking at. Instead of asking about what the little kiddo did, Zeke just assumed that the boy Mordred was talking about was part of the food fight they had over at the snakes' table.
"Erm, I was here last year..." And he was smirking to himself. Zeke was proud, he'd done a great job of going unnoticed. It was his specialty, really. Though he didn't quite know what happened at all cause now more people were actually seeing him. Sometimes he'd wonder what he's done wrong for that invisibility to suddenly fade away.
Kurumi nodded. "I've been hoping for a little more....hands on sort of lessons," she admitted, laughing a little at his comment about parties. She was in total and complete agreement. In fact, if the first lesson of the term was about food or a party again, she was tempted to go directly to the Headmaster and speak with him about it.
"Yeah, I mean i don't know how eating food is supposed to help anyone understand the muggle world. I mean i grew up partially in the Muggle world so i know what it's like but not all the kids here do." He said thinking how odd it would have been to be raised like the pureblood he was, he liked the balance of both worlds.

Mordred just gave Zeke a blank stare. His name wasn’t that hard to pronounce. Was it? Mordred pulled out a chocolate frog from his pocket and gave it to Zeke. “Your price for pronouncing my name right.” He said. “Whhhhy am I being kind?” he thought and wrinkled his nose a bit. He got himself a piece and shoved it in his mouth.
Nomnomnom.
So he was here last year. “Well that pretty much says a lot. I wasn’t here last term. It explains why you don't look familiar.” He said as he examined the chocolate frog card. “I had my first two terms here at Hogwarts, transferred to that bloody school, then back here for my fourth year.” He continued as he got hold of a goblet that filled itself with water upon his touch. “But I don’t remember seeing you during my first two years. You should be at least a familiar face to me...” He said as he continued to finish his drink.
Well, that was a start. “Good job, Mordaunt.”

You have been with Taylor, you love Taylor. This constant reminder is just horrible. I like Damon, but I have never had him to begin with." she looked at the table, "I was so happy when he told me that he liked me last night and if she says no, that he would try with me, but then when I see the tention between you two, and then all the fighting, it makes me a little sad. No matter how this turns out our little group probably won't be the same after the next day or so."

Price? Zeke raised an eyebrow at him. What was Zeke, a first year? "Are you serious?" He scoffed, but took the chocolate frog anyway. It was food, he would NEVER refuse food. Especially now that the feast was lacking it very much as of the moment. "Price," he repeated in mockery, shaking his head with a smirk as he took out the chocolate frog. "You've got to be crazy, man." And he liked that. Finally someone who wasn't trying to be just-friendly.
Zeke began to take a bite out of the "price" he'd just "won." At least it was something new besides the cookies Kurumi offered. "I just transferred last year. I was in Durmstrang for my first two years." And another bite. Chew. Swallow.
"You don't look familiar either." That makes two of them.
Did this boy always wear a smirk? It almost rivaled Jonathan's really, but only Jonathan's smirk had the ability to make her heart skip a beat and to blush. Well, maybe that wasn't true. Kurumi blushed a lot.
"Hello, Grayson," Kurumi chirped, waving to the younger boy as he made his way towards the table - smirk and all.
There was the familiar hint of colour creeping up on Kurumi's cheeks. It was always nice to see her. She was fun and cute. Walking over to where she was sitting and said,"Hey, Kurumi. How are you? How was the holiday?"

If not...well there wasn't much he could do since he would be doing his best to behave as prefect.
As long as there wasn't a reason for him to be brought in for causing trouble.
Grayson looked up and saw Gideon looking at him before he glanced a shiny pin on his robes. He was a prefect. That could swing either way for him. His smirk widened to a sly smile before he turned to Selina.

Grayson really was one cocky Gryffindor. Just by the way he carried himself she could tell that she was in for another term of smirks and compliments and the like. All she could hope for was that Grayson was a little less outward about it this term than his last. The two had gotten on really well toward the middle of her term.
So when he approached the Gryffindor table, Selina waved and grinned at him, "Hey Grayson, how was your summer?"
"Hey, Selina. My holiday was pretty good. Had fun all over the place. What about you, how was it for you?" Grayson asked looking at Selina, as he tucked his hands into his pockets, shifting his weight from one leg to another. His ease with which he composed himself was unmatched by some other boys.

"He is?" Kurumi asked. Not that she knew Destiny all that well besides her challenging Kurumi to a cookie duel. They had never been able to actually do that, sadly, seeing at the kitchens had been closed all of the term due to Toddles and all that chaos. "I'll...I'll see if I can manage a visit. I'd really like to see him again as well."
Kurumi smiled again sheepishly, bowing her head slightly in gratitude for Anya's words, but not saying anything else.
Anya blinked. Why was Kurumi looking at her like that? Did the elf's shiny toy break her face? She felt her cheek again. It... felt not weird.
Not that she really knew what her cheek usually felt like.
Oh well. If she grew an extra head, so be it.
She nodded. The important part wasn't that they were dating. The important part was that now that her brother's girlfriend worked at the pet store... was she going to get another knarl? Or something else? Because. Animals were cutie patuties.
Aww. And there was a real smile! A small one... but a real one none-the-less.
She smiled back. "I'm a really good hugger." she said with a nod. "Just. For future reference." No questions asked. Or required. In fact, it was perfectly acceptable to just come up to her and hug her.

Errrrrr... NO.
He wasn't 'over here' for a visit. Theodore was staying. Unless the lions forced him out with magic, or if they scary teachers pulled him by his ears. "I like being a Gryffindor cos..."
"... cos they're red."
That's right.. That was his only reason.
Anya shrugged. She liked lullabies. And she was always going to like lullabies and bed time stories. In her opinion those were the best part of the day.
She giggled a little. "You are welcome." she replied with a grin. At least he was excited to be here.
Red? Hmm... she wasn't expecting that. A lion reference possibly. But not because they were red.
"Is that your favorite color?"

Mordred shook his head as Zeke ate the chocolate. “You basically insulted yourself there, mate.” He smirked. He likes this fellow. Just like Oakey, he can just go with the flow.
Mordred almost choked as Zeke revealed that he went to Durmstrang. “You went to that bloody school too?” he shook his head as his face slowly turned red. “That bloody school.” That’s where he went last year, as a transfer student. He had to leave Hogwarts to be with his family. His father who was an auror got into a life threatening collision with illegal breeders during one of their regular routines, and the people at St. Mungo’s had to transfer him to a better healer up north.
He was ecstatic with the idea that he was finally going to the same school as his cousins whom he considered as his brothers. His expectation was far from what happened. There was no such thing as brotherhood in that school, worse his cousins betrayed him.
Yes. Those letters in his pockets shall be burned once they reach their common room.
“So, you transferred here. Why’s that?” He’s really not in the mood to tell Zeke about his whereabouts—he just met the boy for crying out loud.

Aaaaand, he just let that drop and shrugged. Food was food and hunger was hunger. SRSLY, he was getting hungrier and hungrier by the minute. Zeke didn't know how long his patience would last. Was the Headmaster giving Zeke a taste of The Hunger Games? LITERALLY?
Mordred's reaction caught his attention and distracted him from thinking of snagging all those cookies up in the air that Ms. Cookie Prefect generously offered. Bloody sure was the right word. It was a living torture over there. Though Zeke didn't realize it until he tried to transfer schools. That's when things got out of control. His eyebrow raised and he asked, "Too? You mean...you've studied there?" Blink. He watched as his companion's face began to match the redness of the surrounding scarlet stuff of the Gryffindor pride. But by the looks of it, it seemed that Mordred had some share of his own memories of the school. And it did not seem like good ones too.
"It's complicated really. I only studied there because when my dad was still alive, he promised the Headmaster of Durmstrang I'd study there for at least two years," Okay, so maybe it's not that much complicated. This was all his dad's fault. He had to be so smart during his time at school. Now people expected him to be as smart. And he tried to live up to that name. He didn't know that the school was just using them de Ferreis' to promote their school as the best among the others because they had intelligent students. Blah blah blah. Psshh. People should know the truth that students there really didn't care much about their grades. It was mostly power and strength. The smart ones were just used as display trophies and medals to show off. "So after two years, I finally left. I'm studying in Hogwarts just on behalf of someone important to me, it was her dream to study here." That would be enough to share for now. Zeke never really thought he'd share this to someone someday. He was the type who liked to keep people guessing.

"RONNIE!" Lilly ran over to her with a giant grin. True, they had seen each other only a few hours ago, but it felt good to see Ronnie back at Hogwarts. "How are you?" That sounded casual enough, didn't it?
IT WAS A HOUSE ELF! A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! Ryffinblor? Maybe he didn't hear things so well. She would have to go to the kitchen to see the elves later. That would make her even more happy than the fact that she might be able to build a treehouse in Rupert's garden.
"I'll play ca-" The orb was flying through the air. THE ORB WAS FLYING THROUGH THE AIR! Lilly lunged forward to catch it. Then missed. Oops. Phew, other 'studentsies' were going to catch it. How did he even get that orb?
"Welcome to you too!" she squeaked. Lilly was actually lost for words, for a change which was very unusual. She just sat silently and awkwardly with nothing else to say until Ira spoke once again.
"No, just in the branches," she said, vaguely, clearly thinking about somthing else. A treehouse, that was what. IT was actually quite uncomfortable playing and singing in a tree, but she had found a thin branch, just safe enough for her to sit on, growin right out into the sky so it felt like she was flying. Ahh, where memories were made. Of composing music. Ooh, somethin to say! "I wrote a few songs this summer."
Ahh! Scary now second-year had that evil look on. And Lilly didn't want to be the opposite end of the next prank, which was obviously very, very soon. She fiddled with that annoying strand of hair again, nervously trying to think of a way to apporoach gently. She could hold her hands up and promise that she came in peace, but then she would most likely be embarassed. And she didn't want that either.
"I'd go for some sort of Slytherin, if I were you," she whispered, with a quick glance at Mordred, the one who Rose so often talked of. Well, not so much recently, really. Then she turned back to her plate and hoped that the victim would not be her.
Ronnie laughed. "LILY!" she said, hugging her back. "I'm great! You?" she asked.

You should write them up or something. We can not let injustice slip through the cracks." As she finished her little speech her own lips cracked into a small smile. There was no way that she could keep up the charade when it came to a certain curly haired and more mature Gideon Gert. Especially because Gideon was a lot more to Selina than just the Gryffindor male prefect, but that was not something that she was going to get into or else she might blush, which was not something she wanted first years to see her do. It might ruin her tough Captain image.
Then suddenly one of her hands that were resting peacefully on her hips were taken away and she was being pulled in a certain direction- toward Gideon. She could see that she was going to fall into his lap if she did not stop herself. The last thing she wanted any younger students to see was two older students, especially students in power, acting extremely... well... you know. So she pulled herself to a stop so she was standing in front of Gideon while his hand held fast to hers.
Her face suddenly matched the color of her hair. They were holding hands and public displays of affection were not really there style, but she kind of liked the small contact. When she registered what Gideon was saying she looked up at him curiously and questioned, "Wait, huh?"
Gideon raised his eyebrow ever so slightly but that was the only reaction he was allowing himself at the moment as he listened to Selina go in. "Well then I shall just have to write her up for bad behavior," he replied , doing his best to keep a straight face as he played along. "Who knows... it might be bad enough for detention...potions detention." That should get her to respond as she threatened to break.
He watched as Selina moved in response to his pull, noticing as she seemed to register what was to happen and in response caught herself in time. Gideon let it slide, realizing it might not be the right time for such close behavior. Plenty of time alone in the common room for that. He didn however lightly smirk in response to her blush...it was cute. And he had caused it.
Might as well explain seeing as Selina was obviously confused. "Anya asked where ye were and I said that I had lost track of ye and didn't know. So she told me that I should try holding hands with ye to keep from loosing ye." Gideon had to admit that after he explained it all, it seemed to him that he was being silly following the advice of a girl a few years younger then either of them. But he couldn't deny it felt could to even just hold his girlfriend's hand...even if he inwardly would have prefered her to have actually fallen on his lap.

Gideon smiled, listening to the plans, however delayed, that Jezzabelle apparently had with his sister. It was good for Kacie to have friends of her own to hang out with, especially those closer to her own age. "Well I'm sure she'll love to this year as well. She giggled as the two held hands. "And now you won't lose her." she said between giggles.
Then she put her hands up as if she were imagining a picture. "Aww! You two match now! I like it." Matchy-matchy!
All couples needed to have badges. She decided.
"It seems we do," Gideon mused in agreement, smiling at her giggles. The prefect figuring it had probably been a good thing that he had returned Selina's badge to her back on the train. "And I have to agree there, it certainly is nice." Not that he took his job any less seriously because it allowed him more time with Selina. He was responsible, and would do his job to the best of his abilities. The rest was just a perk that worked out with it.

His hand unconsciously tightening ever so gingerly within Selina's own however.
Brooke sat at the her house table, nibbling a piece of bread. She wasn't overly hungry really. Especially after stopping at the food trolley on the train. She had.. kind of splurged on things she shouldn't have and had now come to realize why her mother had always sent her off with snack.
Finishing up the slice, she took a sip of pumpkin juice before propping her head up with her arms, and watching the rest of her table. Gosh, she loved getting firsties. They were all so CUTE!
Why couldn't they get new ones everyday?

"Aye...true," Gideon replied in agreement. One did tend to learn from any mistakes they might have made along the way. "Plus all the new recruits...I mean newly sorted Gryffindors we have to help."
Maxwell laughed a little. "Recruits? You think of Gryffindor as an army?...An Army of Lions.." He thought for a moment. "I think that's the perfect way to think about it." He said smiling.

Charlie wandered up the Gryffindor table, scanning the crowd for Brooklyn. He squinted. She couldn't be that hard to find, right? He frowned, asking random people at the table. "Hey, Have you seen a girl, about this tall--" He motioned her approximate height,"--blonde, really pretty, pouty lips?" He said, still looking up and down the table. He then spotted her, leaning on her arms and looking the other way. "Nevermind, found her."
He hurried to where she was, sneaking up behind her and tapping her on the shoulder, but by the time she turned to look he had moved to the other side of her where she couldn't see him, and sat down beside her.

After a bit, she got bored of the ravenclaw table and wandered to the gryffindor table. Taylor wrapped her arms around Maxwell and kissed his cheek, "Hey."

She wanted firsties. Brooke wanted to meet all of them. Apparently, that became her goal for the year- meeting all of the first years. Merlin knew it would be almost impossible, especially since she was so much older than them. But still, it was at the top of her list. She tilted her head slightly, glancing farther down the table to where a few of them sat and she couldn't help bit grin. SO CUTE.
Somewhere in the middle of all of this, she felt finger tapping her shoulder, but when she turned to look, it appeared as though no on were there. She frowned. Turning her head back, she found a new face next to her.
"Charlie!" She grinned, still completely oblivious to the fact that it was probably him who had tapped her shoulder.

Maxwell smiled. "We could be partners in making sure i become a totally awesome Animagus." He said with a small chuckle.

Maxwell smiled at the kiss on the cheek. "Hello, my songbird. Feeling better?" He asked since last time he talked to her she had tears in her eyes and Damon's arms wrapped around her.
She laid her head on his shoulder, "Not really...." Tay sighed, "I still feel bad.... but it is probably just the long and horrid day." Taylor grimaced.
