Spike gasped. Pink Ted was suddenly clutched tight against his chest, and Spike stood up and leant across the edge of the stands to see better. "Indy!" he shouted, suddenly oblivious to what was happening with the rest of the match. He didn't care where the snitch was, as long as Ellie caught it soon. Indy had taken a hit. A bad one by the looks of it. And his worries from last year were suddenly true. He was meant to look after her, and now she'd be all upset.

He didn't know where to look, and instead turned in the stands towards the stairs. He'd be on the ground to see her as soon as he could. If nothing else, Pink Ted would be there to make her feel better.

"I would have spirit but that would involve singling out which team I want to win, basically stating which team I hate. And I don't think Professors are suppose to do that."

But she was. Hm.

"Think your team just won." He said pointing to the blur that was the first year. "Talented seeker."

Josephina frowned at his monotony. Yes, Everett Scabior, you had brought down the mood of Josephina Hadley. Were you HAPPY now?

And honestly, it didn't mean that she hated the Ravenclaws. Not at all. If that were true, she'd hate her sisters. And she liked her sisters. "I disagree. Besides, I'm fairly sure it would be approved for a Head of House to be supporting their own house." Except seeing that he wasn't house head for either of the playing teams today, she could see where his dilemma in cheering would be from. That would be her in the Gryffindor vs Slytherin matches.

"Quite talented," she nodded, squinting down to the pitch where it looked like Max was having an aneurysm or something. "Er... I should go... make sure he doesn't kill any of my house members." She sort of liked them.

And with a curt nod, the Arithmancy professor exited the stands making her way down to the field for was probably like her third time. Ever.

Kurumi was on her feet for the remaining moments of the match, clutching the heart pendant around her neck and forgetting to breathe from time to time. Was this really happening? The match tied, Kurumi covered her mouth as the two Seekers dove after the snitch, knowing that this would determine who won and who lost...only to find herself distracted when she saw that Vashti purposely elbowed Lewis square in the nose.

"Lewis!" she squeaked under her breath, leaning over the railing just a bit to get a better look at the pitch, but having a hard time figuring out what all was going on due to the distance. She really should have brought her binoculars, but she really hadn't intended on staying around very long anyway. She didn't see who caught the last snitch until later due to her eyes being glued on Lewis until he landed. Would he be heading to the hospital wing? Even though she didn't like the Healer, Kurumi would still be sure to make sure he was alright - even if that meant waiting OUTSIDE the hospital wing until he came out.

Once everyone was on the pitch, Kurumi saw that a certain Ravenclaw was NOT looking pleased which meant only one thing: Hufflepuff had won. Kurumi smiled, clapped, and was about to shout congratulations when...Professor Vindictus happened and the Gryffindor found herself silenced. WHAT had just happened?!

She watched as Treyen stormed off the pitch, eyes flicking back to Lewis for a moment, and then decided that she ought to leave the stands as well despite wanting to stay and observe the deflated ego of Ellie.

Gryffindor vs. Slytherin Match

Having missed the last few games, Medea finally found herself in the familiar stands, looking for that perfect seat. Up front was too close to the field, not to mention the true quidditch fans, and the very top was just no good. Somewhere in the middle.

Juuuust right.

Adjusting her cotton beret as she sat down, she looked around at the mostly empty stands. Goodness, had the studies really left all the students skipping out on the sport? Or was it another late night and they were all sleeping in.

Lislchen 03-10-2012 10:48 AM

Lewis had decided that he might as well watch the other Quidditch matches too. He'd found it actually quite enjoyable especially because...well, because he was playing too now. Which he still couldn't quite believe but it was true. And they were going to play in the finals! So why not watch this match too. And Gryffindor was playing so Kurumi was probably going to be there too. Which was a definite plus.

Only she wasn't there yet when he arrived at the stands. They looked pretty empty...the only person he could spot was the DADA professor and he wasn't going to sit next to her. Nu-uh. So not. She was probably going to make him do Yoga exercises throughout the match. Which he REALLY hadn't come here for. No, he'd come here for...err...the Quidditch match. Yes. That was it.

Fidgeting around with the Gryffindor scarf he had found, Lewis took a seat in the front row of the stands. It wasn't too far away from the professor that it would seem rude but also not too close for it to seem awkward. Or so he hoped. He really wasn't that good a judge when it came to what was awkward and what wasn't.

HaRoHeGiNeLu 03-10-2012 12:47 PM

Anyone!

Ellie dragged herself into the stands today. She wasn't exactly feeling one-hundred percent. She was upset. And she hardly cared about the outcome of this match....

Except that they'll be playing whoever won.

That was why she was here. And since she wasn't here to cheer anyone on, and she'd very much like it if neither team won, if that were at all possible, she was donned in nothing but Ravenclaw wear.

HMPH.

She never got to wear this stuff to support her team, so....might as well get some House-Spirit-y use out of it.

The obviously Ravenclaw girl climbed her way to the top of the stands, slunk into the back corner, and tried to settle into the non-existent shadows. Unseen, was what she wanted to be, despite the outfit that most likely stood out at this match.

Lady of Light 03-10-2012 12:47 PM

Evelyn wasn't sure why she turned up for the match when her house wasn't playing at all. She had loads of studying to do and turning up to watch each and every quidditch match wasn't exactly helping. Anyway, she decided that she was going to support Gryffindor.

Evelyn, with a hot mug of coffee in he hand, found a seat in the second row and sat down. She wasn't going to do any cheering this time though..or maybe she would. Heh. She took a sip of the hot beverage and waited for the match to begin.

sweetpinkpixie 03-10-2012 01:34 PM

all of you are in here :D

Having given a box of cookies to August for the Gryffindor team, Kurumi headed to the stands to get ready to cheer on her house. She was really hoping that the lions would pull out a win. They had all done fantastic during their Flying lesson playing...Quad....Qid...Quod... Why did everything in the wizarding world relating to flying sports seem to start with a Q? It was hard for people like her to remember what everything was. And then there was the quaffle that sounded like waffle and made her want to eat breakfast...

She first spotted Professor Romanos as she walked around the front of the stands. "Good day, professor," she greeted, accompanied by a polite bow. Kurumi then spotted THE Hufflepuff that she had been instructed to keep an eye on by the former Head Girl. She still needed to write to her and report about the whole sanctuary incident. Evelyn wasn't going to be pleased about that. Still, Kurumi smiled as she walked passed her and then her steps faltered ever so slightly when she saw Ellie.

She wanted to ignore her...but Kurumi was better than that and not nearly enough of a Slytherin to be able to pull that off. So, she smiled. It was an awkward one, but she still managed to smile before walking past her. That was as much of a greeting as she was going to muster for now.

Then, she saw Lewis and she instantly felt a little better. "Lewis!" she called as she waved to him. She, sadly, didn't have any cookies with her this time seeing as she had given them all to August. Selina would have been disappointed if there wasn't a plate of cookies made just for her anyway. She then noticed that he was wearing a Gryffindor scarf and her cheeks flushed a bit. "Rooting for Gryffindor I see." Good. That made her happy.

Feeling he might as well attend one match for the year, Tyler made his way down to the quidditch pitch and up the stands. He wasn't exactly rooting for anyone really but he did want to get out of the common room, for a little while anyways.

As soon as he felt he was in a good enough section he plopped down, then looked at who he was sitting next to.

The DADA professor, who happened to be female. Man..he better set the record straight fast, even if she was indeed a professor.

"Excuses me Professor, I know I'm sitting next to you and everything but it's not because I find you cute or anything like that okay?" He fixed her with a long look. Tye definitely needed to be sure they were both on the same page. Girls were girls after all professor or not.

Lady of Light 03-10-2012 02:01 PM

Evelyn took another sip of her coffee when she saw the..girl from the sanctuary walk by and smile at her. It was quite silly to call her the sanctuary girl but she didn't know her name. Embarrassing. The sixteen seventeen year old waved at the girl. "Hello."

From the corner of her eye, she noticed someone familiar seated nearby. Oooh! Ellie again. "It's like you are stalking me, Ellie." Evelyn grinned before she continued to drink her coffee.

HaRoHeGiNeLu 03-10-2012 02:20 PM

She's not herself. >_< And a bit for Kurumi <3

She was pretty much keeping her gaze down into her lap, but her eyes would flicker up occasionally, to see who was entering the stands. So, yes, she noticed Kurumi and her silent gesture.

THAT was surprising. Kurumi SMILED at her.

Ellie was most confused. She was sure the Gryffindor was just going to ignore her existence for the rest of their lives. But...smiling was on the verge of friendly, the way she saw it. Far too shocked to return the smile, the Ravenclaw simply picked her fingers off her lap in a sort of wave.

Then her eyes flickered back to the entrance of the stands where Evelyn came in. Ellie blinked in confusion, taking Eve's comment very seriously. "I-I'm not..." She wasn't stalking Eve. For one, she had arrived before the Hufflepuff.

RachieRu 03-10-2012 02:34 PM

Quiidddditch. Yay. Indy was dressed up in her Ravenclaw clothes. Well she was a ravenclaw after all. Of course she was going to wear blue stuff. There wasn't any better color. She did have nice bright red jeans on though. So she was kind of supporting Gryffindor? Maybe. She would have to see. Really. She was gonna be looking for who won, because that would be who they were playing. It would be important. That was kind of some of the reason why she was coming to the game. And because she totally loved quidditch.

Yaaay. She was in the stands now. Perfect. Now she just needed to find someone to sit with. oooh. Ellie! Ellie. Ellie. Captain Ellie. Yay. She could sit with her. Indy smiled, wandering over to her friend. Who didn't look too happy. "Ellllieee...." Yay. And then she hugged her Captain. woot.

Making herself comfortable on the bench, perhaps lifting her feet up on the row in front of her, she JUST got in the perfect spot when the students started arriving. Alright then. She'd just sit normally.

"Hello, Miss Hollingberry." Medea smiled at the Gryffindor Prefect as she walked by.

AHA!

It was that marvelous day again! When not even the smell of freshly collected manure could lure her to the greenhouses. NOPE! Today, was Quidditch day! Particularly since the Quodpot lesson, Seren had been hungry for flying, hungry for Quidditch. It reminded her of her youth.

So without any hesitation that morning, and with more enthusiasm than was necessary, Seren had thrown on a mixture of clothing, not really paying attention to anything other than their colour. Black and red. It seemed rather fitting. Of course because it was her day off, away from the duties of the plants, she rewarded herself with one of her favourite black booties. Sure she wasn't used to walking around in high heeled shoes, but navigating the stands was programmed into her floral brain.

Resisting the urge to run across the grounds to the stands, Seren kept up a quick pace. Wanting to be one of the first among the Lions.

This would be their game. She could feel it in her fingers.

"Greetings all!" she waved merrily as she took to a seat in the Gryffindor stand. Honestly, it was more fun with the students, she could never understand why the Professors sat in the Staff stand when she was at school. It must have been so dull.
"Who's ready to lose their voices?!" she asked, to nobody in particular.

Ellie was too preoccupied with Evelyn's false accusation that she didn't even notice Indiana until she felt her arms around her.

Shame the little girl's arms trapped hers when she hugged her, or Ellie would have at least tried to return it. "Hey, Little Hutchinson," she said, forcing a rather pitiful smile. For the Second year's sake, she would try to look happy.

Trying was only going to get her so far, though.

Tyler smiled at the professor then looked down at his feet for a bit before saying anything else.

"Good, because you know how girls are." He shuddered when he remembered his encounter with that crazy girl the first week of school. Calling him cute and hugging him, pfft.

"What house are you cheering on?" He asked looking up at her curiously.

Saz Hale 03-10-2012 03:39 PM

Arabella-Marie made her way up to the stands no idea who was playing but she was ready to cheer on both teams and enjoy the game it had been a while since she saw a good qudditch game and hoped that today's game was pretty good

Lady of Light 03-10-2012 03:50 PM

Huh? Evelyn's face registered surprise at Ellie's reaction. Did she take her comment seriously? Oh, jeez. She was only kidding, for Merlin's sake! "Erm..Ellie. I was only joking." Evelyn said, the corners of her lips tilting up in a slight smile. Woah. Maybe she shouldn't joke around the Ravenclaw. She continued to sip at her coffee, her eyes back on the pitch.

Anyone

Louisa was wearing a cap and shouldering her bag as she made it to the stands. Her face had red blotches all over it thanks to the potion she used recently. So much for taking care of your skin. Her study time was driving her crazy with spending so so so much time in the library or alone at the lake. Her socializing skills if they ever existed were threatening to disappear and what's better than a crazy quidditch game to boost up those skills? Exactly.

She moved to one of the higher rows and settled down. She spotted a lot of familiar faces and smiled at those who looked at her but didn't utter a word. Oh, no, she didn't forget how to speak... hopefully. She just wanted to take the hustle in.

Emrys shuffled in, gaze firmly on the steps as he moved to a row, not looking at anyone around. So far into the term, and he'd barely talked to anyone. Go to class, sit in the back. Pull the curtains around the bed, do the work. Eat early, avoid crowds. He reached up and scratched behind his ear awkwardly as he settled into a row. A quidditch game. This was as good a place to start being social as any, right?

Sitting down, he pulled his glasses off his face - rendering himself practically blind - and wiped the lenses with the edge of his shirt.

Adjusting her cap, which gave her the sporty style, Louisa watched a stranger settling a couple of feet away from her. She moved her bag to the side and shifted to look at the boy who was probably not in her year since she didn't recognize him, "I wouldn't risk wearing glasses in the stands." Grinning as she said so, "Some of those players can be really enthusiastic with the ball." And she didn't care what it was called. Obviously.

She'd ask what team he was rooting for if she was sure who was against Gryffindor. Bentley was enthusiastic so it meant it was one of her fav teams, definitely not Ravvies so that left Gryffies. Easy.

Emrys squinted in the direction of the voice, and, seeing only a vaguely person shaped blob, set his glasses back on his nose. "Don't really have much of a choice," he replied.

He wiped his palms on his pants. Sweaty.

"I can fix 'em if they break," he said, shrugging. And that was the point where every conversation got awkward. He bit the inside of his lip and nodded his head a little more. What did socially proficient people do at this point?

Oh. Right.

"I'm Emrys." Palms, still on pants.

Then silence.

She awkwardly dropped her arms and started fiddling with the bag's strand. But the boy spoke again. Louisa scooted closer, stretching her right arm at him, "I'm Louisa." Arm still suspended in midair.

He... wasn't like Slytherin Jonathan, was he? He sounded cool. With glasses and everything.

He gave it a quick shake and immediately pulled back. "I.. I don't like putting my finger in my eye," he mumbled.

Also, he didn't like how he looked without them, all beady-eyed rodent like. Blech.

Phew. He was normal. Louisa shook his hand and then crossed her legs resting one elbow on top of them, holding her chin with her hand. What a relief to find someone to talk to instead of watching a bunch of people showing off their flyingbroomstick skills.

...poking his eye. She furrowed her eyebrows, not getting what he meant by that but she let it go. She would start a more interesting topic! Maybe discuss the Charms homework. Or Astronomy!

Not. Louisa glanced sideways at the Pitch and shrugged, "I have no idea, actually. I know Gryffindors are playing. Ravenclaws are not since it's my house and even if I don't really follow Quidditch, I would know if the team's in the locker room." Looking back at the boy- Emrys, she flashed a teasing smile, "You don't know either. I'm impressed." And a chuckle to show her sincerity. She never met a boy who wasn't gaga over Quidditch yet.

"You okay?" She glanced around, before kind of looking at her very ravenclaw shoes. She didn't want to upset the girl, but like she didn't want her to be upset either. Hmmm. bad times.

Evelyn's eyes shifted towards a small girl who was hugging Ellie. Aw, how cute. Although, Ellie looked like..well, she didn't look happy. That was for certain. "Hello there." Evelyn gave a young girl a warm smile.

...poking his eye.

Why was she making that face? Emrys looked away, blinking and looking for an interesting knot in the wood. Swallowing, he nodded as he listened to her.

"Well, if Gryffindor is playing, and Ravenclaw isn't, then it's a 50% chance that it's either Slytherin or Hufflepuff, but the probability would be different if more variables were known like whether there are very excited students of a particular house around, who played in the last match, and after that it's just a logic puzzle with the known and unknown variables and.."

Oh. Oh not again.

"I mean," he said exaggeratedly, stretching it out, "who could know?" He laughed uncomfortably, clenching and unclenching his hands nervously.

He could feel the tingling in his neck and cheeks, and knew without a doubt that he was starting to get pink from embarrassment.

Mmmm. Gryffindor.

Ellie had nothing against the house, don't get her wrong, she just wasn't feeling like being very supportive of them lately. "Neither," she shrugged. Really, she was hoping for a stalemate of sorts.

She then turned her head to Indy, the pathetic excuse for a smile still on her face. Was she okay? No. Was she going to worry Little Hutchinson about it? No. "Don't worry about it." It was older-kids issues that the little girl needn't worry her pretty little head about.

Introductions. "Indiana, this is Eve. Eve...Indy."

And now they could greet each other while Ellie let her eyes drift down to the Pitch. Nearly time to start, yeah?

She scooted a bit closer, moving one arm over the heads of the crowd, "So, based on your analysis, we scan the crowd." And she did. Not that it did her any good. "We'll figure it out," she murmured after a moment or two missing his pink face.

"So what are you?" She started more enthusiastic again. Was he a Huffie? Personally, she wanted him to be a Ravenclaw since he was so interesting and non-Quidditch-ish. They could use boys without the title of dorks, a.k.a the yearbook editor.

Right. Quidditch.

Alec wandered down towards the stands, his hands clutching a bag that had quite a few things inside it. Like a bottle of water, some snacks and, of course, gummy bears!

Lucky gummy bears at that.

His eyes scanned the seats as he started looking around for an empty one. There seemed to be quite a few people here. Not a lot but... some. Some he did recognise though, and they got a small wave from the twelve year old.

Alec edged along a row of seats towards the middle of the stands and sat down. And yet, it was only now that he was realising just how hard cheering for this match would be. There was his best friend who would be playing amazingly. But then there was also one of his best guy friends... who would also be playing amazingly. And cheering for Hufflepuff was definitely not an option.

Decisions!

Lily, wearing her blue ravenclaw t-shirt, entered the stands and looked for someplace to sit. She saw Louisa, but her older ravenclaw friend was busy talking with a boy, so Lily decided to not bug them. She scanned the crowd and saw a couple ravenclaws, one of whom she recognized from the Quodpot game. Lily walked up the stairs and went over to them. "Um... Can I join you guys?..." Hopefully they would let her sit with them and she would be able to meet some more people from her house.

Initially Messer wasn't planning to come to this Slytherin vs Gryffindor match. He was planning to spend his day in the common room taking a nap or something but he remembered that Alec's girlfriend is playing today and since Messer is such a good roommate so he's here now rooting for Gryffindor. Yay Gryffindor!

As he made it to the stand, his roommate wasn't there yet. He just shrugged it off maybe he was with Anya now last minute support and such. Then he saw a very familiar red head. He gave the Claw captain a quick hello since she seems to be talking to the other Claw he didn't know. Sitting down, he pulled off his hoodie off.

"Are you upset about something?" Evelyn asked, with a small frown on her face. Ellie looked depressed or terribly dejected or..both. Obviously, it wasn't any of her business and if Ellie didn't want to say anything, it was fine with her.

"Nice to meet you, Indiana." Evelyn smiled again. She shifted her coffee mug to the other hand before she extended her hand. "That's a pretty name."

Hadley made her way into the stands to watch the quidditch match and support the players. Though she was impartial to both teams playing, that didn't mean she shouldn't show her support for the school's athletes, right?

Of course right.

But where to sit. No doubts that sitting near Seren was not an option in today's match. The woman would improbably be loud and obnoxious whenever Gryffindor scored. Scanning the stands, Fina saw a cluster of Ravenclaw students and one redhead in particular.

"Miss Stone... Ellie..." Fina said, by way of polite greeting the captain, as she took the seat behind her. A nice impartial group to be sitting near, right? Hopefully.

Either one of the teams could come and face him and the rest of the Hufflepuffs if they then beat the scary Ellie girl and her team. But... this wasn't something he should be worrying about. No no no. This was Keefer's job who... should be here, shouldn't he?

But before he could ponder on Keefer and his mysterious absence after practice, Alec's eyes landed on a flock of brown hair he knew too well. And this boy seemed to be wearing similar clothes to him! Kind of. They both had red and blue in there somewhere. Right. Time to annoy his roommate.

The twelve year old got up and made his way towards Messer, a grin slowly spreading across his face. Alec edged along the row before sitting down right next to the Chaser. He sat back in his seat and looked down at the grounds as the following words escaped his lips, "I see someone's decided to support Gryffindor as well."

Seriously this boy needed to be... less nice. Louisa didn't know how to act around nice people, she was too honest and reckless. Well that's what her stepdad kept repeating during her Christmas visit, which she believed strangely enough. Smiling and nodding at Emrys was the answer to his bewilderment.

Louisa laughed, her torso shooting forward too, before she saw him pinch his nose and 'try that again'. Oops, he wasn't joking. Well. It was funny and the serious tone he used cracked her up. Human. "I am a fifth year Ravenclaw too!" She grinned at him. If any of her friends saw her grin as much today, they'd sign her admission to St. Mungo's right away.

"How come I never saw you in the common room or one of the classes?" She raised her eyebrows at him. Louisa was almost sure that she knew every single student in her year. Being in the yearbook made it important.

By the Sound of the Crowd one could have easily been fooled that the match had already started, however, Trav knew otherwise.

Travis ran up the rickety stairs of the stands. The Stability of any set of wooden stairs in this school was questionable, but Trav always made sure to run up, before they collapsed. He walked into the sun to see a huge gathering of students all dressed to support their team of choice. Travis felt his face to make sure his fake moustache was still attached beneath his nose, he then clenched his eye around a rather nicely designed monocle. Yup, must dress the part for such a gentlemen's game.

Sure Trav was completely impartial today, but a nice game of Quidditch never hurt. There was no one there to root for, but then again, there were always those mischievous bludgers that added a nice touch of bludgeoning.

So here he was, rooting for the toughest player in the game. The only thing in the sky today that could take the most beatings and still fly around happily.

Trav reached into his pocket and took out a packet of Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans.

Well this was a disaster, but at least she wasn't cruel about it. Hunching, Emrys set his elbows on his knees and put his chin on his hands. Turning his head a little bit to face her, he laughed. "You must think I'm a complete spaz." He sighed. "I'll save you the trouble. I am. Completely socially inept."

He smiled, sincerely this time, his eyes getting a little squinty as he did so. "I make it my personal mission to go unnoticed. Back corners of classrooms, no participation, that kind of thing." Staring back out over the pitch - surely the match was starting soon? - he continued. "I'm a transfer, and even though I swore to myself I wouldn't do my invisible student thing, as soon as I got here, I did."

WOAH. WAY too many people around her and nearly all of them were ravenclaws. It was weird because she hadn't seen many eagles in the stands when the Ravenclaws were playing against the Hufflepuffs. Yeah. Totally weird.

Heh. Evelyn was right. "You know what, Ellie? The match is about to begin so let's just enjoy ourselves, okay?" Yeah. Ellie was here to watch the match so she might as well have a good time instead of just brooding about whatever was bothering her.

Back to Indiana. Aw. This little girl was adorable. She reminded her of Tristan...who hasn't been seen in the past few days. "You're welcome. It's a little unique, isn't it?" Her name, that is.

"So, what year are you in?" Evelyn shouted a little, since the crowd was getting noisier by the second.

Seren was SUPER excited about todays match. It was Gryffindors chance to present a challenge to the Snakes. And of course, seeing as her daring Lions were hot on the tail of those slimy serpents, this match up was particularly important to her. Beating the Snakes was her terms objective.

"COME ON LIONS!" she cheered rather loudly, eyes intently focused on the blur of red and green as they zoomed after the quaffle, tossing and passing it between them.

She was already on the edge of her seat, no doubt endangering herself and increasing the risk of her falling on her bottom -- not for the first time this Quiddicth season.

Selena bounded to the stands, with a bright cheery smile on her face, pygmy puff on her head and a Slytherin flag in a hand. She waved it around as she looked for a seat. "Heeellloooo, hellloooo, hellloooo~" Selena said in a sing-song voice, before she realized that the game had started. Selena jumped and clapped her hands together. "YAAAAY GO SLYTHERIN!!!" she said, BEAMING from ear to ear. TAKE THAT you Gryffindors!!

Vashti wasn't really sure who to support in today's match, nor did she really feel like dressing up, so she came wearing a simple pair of jeans, a Ravenclaw T-shirt, and a pair of simple blue flats. She'd considered putting her hair up as well but decided against it quickly. She liked her hair much better when it was down.

But it seemed even without wasting a ton of time on her appearance, the stands were already filling up by the time she arrived. Well now, where was she going to sit? Since she wasn't really going to cheer on either team, she didn't want to sit with a bunch of crazy supporters - even though that was what most of the stands consisted of. But surely there were a few who, like her, weren't supporting either? Some of her fellow Ravenclaws, perhaps, or a few Hufflepuffs?

Hmm...

Spaz? Socially inept? Louisa shook her head vigorously, "No, I don't think you're... spaz." Whatever that meant. "I think you're just nervous." See? Too honest, and completely putting her foot in her mouth. Louisa doesn't care about those stuff though.

Invisibility. The new sixteen years old frowned slightly, "You don't have to do that." She paused, thinking of a smart wise thing to say. Vashti would find the perfect words for him. Not Louisa. "Maybe it's the new student phase? You know, I don't blame you for being slightly uncomfortable getting into this huge school and trying to blend in." And that was a complete lie; Louisa always wanted attention and did everything to get it. Emrys' attitude was strange to her.

Looking at the Pitch, she went silent for a moment before speaking again. "I can help you with blending in if you like." Uh-huh, she was proving herself a nice person. "You know.. we can do homework and prepare for OWLs together. You can meet more students by that, too." That'll definitely help...

Seriously?!

And the one person who's company she wouldn't mind, wasn't here.

"So, what year are you in?" Evelyn shouted a little, since the crowd was getting noisier by the second.[/QUOTE]

Enjoy ourselves. Watch the match.

Yeah, that was her primary objective when she entered the stands and chose a seat all on her lonesome in the very back. To just watch the match. So, thank you Eve, but she didn't need to be told to enjoy herself. She didn't even want to enjoy herself. Just watch.

"Okay." Whatever.

Vindictus came out, and actually made the Captain smirk. 'Terrifying Ravenclaw team', eh?

And then the match started. Ellie was slightly glad Slytherin had gotten the first goal, what with how anti-Gryffindor she was feeling. But still, she didn't necessarily want Slytherin to win.

Even though the Slytherins were the first to get a shot off, Seren wasn't concerned. 10 points was NOT a lead. It was a start. And the Lions were perfectly capable to winning back the points and rallying.

She continued to clap and cheer loudly. Confident that at this stage she wasn't causing a scene, just blending into the crowd, even with her loud shouts of encouragement.

Even when Tatums shot was blocked she did not falter in her cheers.

And then he looked up. How had he missed the match starting? Inept and oblivious. Ugh. He rested his forehead against his hands. Why had he decided to do this again? He listened to her talk, not really hearing what she was saying, but nodding as if he were. But then...

Help him with blending in? He looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "Why would I want to do that? I'm the only kid who doesn't need an invisibility cloak to be invisible." Bad joke.

He bit his lip. "I... I don't know. I don't really do well with... well, with people."

Don't tell me that he's not forget that his girlfriend playing today Hmm..But that's not possible since Messer was pretty sure that Alec already marked his calendar. Possibly with a heart shape. He felt that someone was sitting next to him, when he turned his head he saw the boy he was looking for. Speak of the devil!

Wait! Why they wore similar clothes? That's creepy. "Yes of course. Don't you know that Anya and I are go way back." SMIRK. "So yes, I'm rooting for Gryffindor. Yay Gryffindor! Yay Anya!"

Alec took off his bag from round his shoulders and dumped it onto the floor by his feet. They were going to enjoy this match! And Keefer could drop by and make some notes on the teams, if he wanted to.

But no one could beat scary Ellie.

And no one could beat Messer in the 'slightly loopy' department. The boy was looking around as if he was... searching for someone? What? Was Messer expecting someone to come and his next to him? ... Maybe this special girl of his? Alec smirked as he looked at Messer and raised his eyebrows. Nothing needed to be said about this obviously.

And... WHAT?! Him and Anya go way back? Since when?! "Is that so?" he said, "Rilez will be proud that you're supporting her then." ... It was weird that people called her Anya. She was always 'Rilez' to him.

But before he could say anything... the game had started! Alec sat up as he watched the players zoom into action, flying this way and that. The Quaffle was there... and so was the Bludger... but the Seeker kept his eyes on the all important Snitch and his favourite Seeker. "Looks like Slytherin are pulling ahead," he said. Go Asher!

Evelyn smiled and gave a small wave towards the fellow sixth year. She wasn't going to say anything though. Honestly, Selena freaked her out a little. Or rather...a lot.

Riiight. Maybe she should leave Ellie alone. She looked really annoyed and Evelyn didn't want to annoy her more.

She gave Ellie a nervous smile before her eyes were on the pitch again. The Slytherins were playing rather well and...wait, what!? A penalty? o_O She sat on the edge of her seat, her eyes focused on the game.

Hera 03-10-2012 06:59 PM

Despite the less than desirable start to the match, Seren was standing, and leaning dangerously close over the edge of the stands to get a better look at the seekers as they zoooooomed into action, clearly chasing the elusive snitch.

"WHO ARE WE FIGHTING FOR?!... GRYFFINDOR!" she yelled, fist pumping the air as she watched Anya close in on the snitch.

"Come on Anya!" she urged.. waiting in anticipation.

Lislchen 03-10-2012 07:00 PM

Err...I'm very late but didn't feel like deleting the first part so yeah. xD

Lewis somewhat regretted having come here so early. It was...kind of boring with nobody here. And he hadn't even brought a book or his school stuff so he could use the time to revise for OWLs. No, all he had was himself and his Gryffindor scarf. Which wasn't a whole lot and definitely not very distracting.

Glancing around the stands his green eyes rested on the Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain for a moment, who was dressed very...Ravenclaw-y. Did she not know they weren't playing today? Or...hang on, WERE they? But no, that wouldn't make sense, since she was the CAPTAIN and all.

Anyway, she seemed to have recovered quite well from what had happened at the last match. He still didn't know what had been wrong with her but she looked well enough now. He even gave her a small smile - which he wasn't sure she would be noticing - but was quickly distracted by somebody else who had finally arrived. Finally.

Selina would have been disappointed if there wasn't a plate of cookies made just for her anyway. She then noticed that he was wearing a Gryffindor scarf and her cheeks flushed a bit. "Rooting for Gryffindor I see." Good. That made her happy.

Waving back at Kurumi with a happy smile, Lewis waited for her to take a seat next to him. Oh so she'd noticed the scarf. He held it out to her a little with a grin and nodded. "Yes, yes, I am!" OF COURSE he was. Who else would he be rooting for? Well, Hufflepuff obviously but they weren't playing so. And he didn't know anybody on the Slytherin Quidditch team. Not as far as he knew anyway.

---------

And then they were all on the pitch! All of them. Somehow he was glad he had come. This would be fun. Watching others play and all. Especially ones who they'd already won against. And it was right then that Lewis realized that he DID actually know somebody on the Slytherin Quidditch team. Eva. Oh well, he was still rooting for Gryffindor. Kurumi was more important.

Not that they were doing so well. Slytherin was in the lead and quite a lot faster than Gryffindor it seemed. Biting his lip he simply kept his gaze on the players zooming through the air, only once in a while glancing at Kurumi next to him. Since he wasn't one to openly cheer or shout or well do anything which would attract attention, he ended up just playing around with one end of his Gryffindor scarf, sending the Gryffindor players good vibes. Or something.

When somebody started shouting about knuts and bolts, Lewis turned to stare at the Gryffindor Head of House for a moment, clearly surprised by her outburst. Yeah, maybe he should be shouting like that too. With pretty chants and all. But he was soon pulled out of his reverie when suddenly people around him started to cheer louder and he glanced back at the pitch only to see that the Seekers had spotted the snitch for the first time.

:whaa:

Hera 03-10-2012 07:06 PM

Amazing, simply AMAZING!

Seren clapped as loud and as fast as her manure-moisturised hands would go. In the end opting to whistle and cheer loudly instead. Anya's snitch capture RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER was already a highlight of the match. My that little Lioness had some pace!

"Wooooooooooo!"

Oh. Yeah. The match. "It seems like it," she replied uninterestedly. "You're cheering for anyone in particular? Or any house then?"

The Ravenclaw girl saw his hesitance and shook her head stubbornly, "You're quite fine if you ask me." She replied seriously, "In fact, you're better than me. I mean I'm not particularly invisible but I'm not that good or.. nice or snuggly." Was that last word a bit too much? "If people can put up with me, they will love you." Errr... definitely too much. She was on her feet now and "GRYFFINDORS WOOOO!" And poking his arm, Louisa encouraged, "Let's cheer together!" First step of breaking out of his bubble.

And...the Gryffindor seeker caught the snitch! Wow. "WOOO! Go Gryffindor!" Evelyn stood up and started to cheer. See, Ellie? This is how you enjoy a match. Not by just sitting down and looking gloomy.

Suddenly the Seekers were off. And funnily enough, Ellie wasn't even that excited about it. Still, her eyes were glued to the blur of red and green until the red came out triumphant.

Good for Gryffindor, she guessed.

Slytherin was in the lead, though, so...good for them, too, she supposed.

Emrys kept his eyes fixed on the pitch - not that he understood anything that was happening - but he figured it must be good for Gryffindor given Professor Bentley's exuberance.

"Not really rooting for anyone in particular." His eyes traveled back and forth along the pitch. "I don't really understand Quidditch." He drummed his fingers against his knee, raising an eyebrow as she spoke.

Snuggly? Was she saying that, compared to her, he was snuggly? Well, that was a kiss of death right there. His heart sank and he sucked on his teeth, making it look like he had a particularly sour lemon drop in his mouth.

And suddenly she was on her feet and he was covering his ears. Looking up at her a little startled, he dropped his hands into a polite clap. "Woo, Gryffindor?" He weakly pumped his fist into the air, his bottom still firmly on the seat.

Sighing, completely annoyed with himself, he looked at the pitch. "Do you play?"

Okay, hopefully nobody had heard him. Especially not Kurumi next to him. But she seemed to be way too engrossed in the game anyway so yeah. He should probably practice things like that when he was all alone in his dorm. Or you know, never.

Was she...talking to him?! Lewis turned his head back to Professors Bentley again and just stared at her, his mouth gaping open just a little. "I-I didn't...I-" He stumbled over his words, not really knowing what to reply while he felt his cheeks flushing with color. Not good, not very good. What was he going to say?! What was he SUPPOSED to say? Or do? Did she expect him to try again? In front of all these people? What was wrong with HER?!

Still gaping at her Lewis caught a sudden movement out of the corner of his eyes and turned his head for a moment. And found himself looking at the two Seekers again who were once again zooming off, apparently in hot pursuit of the snitch. Glad for a distraction, he just pointed at them, hoping Professor Bentley would get what he was talking about and look over there...or anywhere but at him.

Bouncing Blueberries!

This WAS shaping up to be her favourite match of the term. For obvious reasons. The Lions had a seriously deathly look of determination on their faces, and they were on fiiiirreeee! Was there anything they couldn't do?

"Great work Lions!!! Keep it up!!!!"

Seren, was in awe, a HUGE grin plastered on her face causing her jaws to protest in pain.

Of course, once the action bit had settled somewhat, Seren returned her gaze to Lewis. Was the boy alright? He was choking on anything was he?.. Bit of a concern.
"Deep breaths, it'll come to you." And if it didn't then he would wake up the next day WITH a voice, she knew that after this there was no hope of her talking for extended periods of time. Tea, would be the order of the day.

Lady of Light 03-10-2012 07:37 PM

Can't believe Hadley thought Lewis was a cat. LOL.

Oh, wow. Evelyn was still on her feet, cheering ever so often. The Slytherins were doing great. Yep. It was definitely getting to be a close match.

"Go Gryffindors! WOOOOOT!"

Yeah. Evelyn thought she wouldn't cheer but..bleh. The atmosphere was full of excitement and she just couldn't sit and watch. She wanted to ask Ellie to join her as well but the ravenclaw looked like she would snap her head off..so yeah. Better to leave her alone.

Alec sat up and blinked at the tiny golden ball and the two figures chasing after it. This was it. His eyes stayed on the red figure in particular and how close she was to the Snitch. Come ooooon Rilez! She did it once, she could do it again!

And... DUCK!

Wow! Quidditch was... dangerous. And he should know, having hit a snow bank and fallen off of his broom. But that didn't concern him. What concerned him was whether his best friend will be okay. She did nearly get hurt that other time...

"YES! COME ON RILEZ!"

... Messer was probably going to stay as far away from him as possible now.

"Deep breaths, it'll come to you." And if it didn't then he would wake up the next day WITH a voice, she knew that after this there was no hope of her talking for extended periods of time. Tea, would be the order of the day.

And they had caught the snitch! And in this case they was the Gryffindors! Because he was rooting for them and all, which was why he was wearing the scarf and all, see? They only had one more snitch grab to go and then the match was going to be over! And they would have won!

Apparently the second snitch grab hadn't been enough of a distraction for Professor Bentley to forget about him. Blushing some more he stared at her for a moment again and then shook his head. "B-but...I...don't know what IT is." Okay, seriously WHAT was he talking about?!

Focusing on him as he spoke, Louisa stayed on her feet. Why was his face contracted? Did she say something wrong? It wouldn't be the first time but Louisa was being very careful with Emrys. Her efforts were obvious! "I don't like it. And it's really not that hard to get." Without permission, she grabbed his wrist and tugged at him to stand up too. Her eyes were focused on the pitch, "You see those people with the bat? Those are the ones that try to slam the heavy ball at the other team players. The one standing by the three hoops is the Keeper, keeps the ball from going in. Those players who stay away for most of the game and suddenly start flying like hell are the golden-ball seekers. Everybody else is Chasers, they try to get the ball into the hoops." Breeeeath.

Does she play? MAJOR SCOFF. "No. I don't like it." Louisa made a huge deal of acting nonchalant. Her sucking flying skills had absolutely NOTHING to do with this.

Just saying.

"Also.. that wasn't a cheer," she chuckled, "I barely heard it. You need to shout!" Duuuh. Glancing at Bentley, she chuckled again, "Not when Bentley's this close anyway." Back to her assignment... the boy in the bubble, "I don't know any catchy phrases but I don't care!" She extended her arms in a dramatic careless gesture. "Ready?" This should be interesting. "One.. two... three! GO GRYFFINDORS!"

Because she was in THE BEST mood, ever.. and because Gryffindor was showing the Snakes who was boss, Seren was happy to humor the poor Badger.
"Alright... so Badgers don't roar... what sound does a Badger make exactly?"
Now there was a question for the ages. Did badgers bark? grunt? snort? ... meow?
"Cheering, is not an art, just open your mouth an yell words. Now let's see if you can improve on that other attempt." No. She was NOT letting this go. The Hufflepuff was going to learn something vital at this Quidditch match, but he would probably need a little more direction.

Merlin.

"Try something like this," she started, before taking a deep breath.

"Wooooooooo Gryffindor!" Yes, something simple. "Four syllables. I'm sure you can handle that."

If it were possible to swallow your tongue out of surprise, Emrys would have done so right then as he was wrenched to his feet. Wobbling a little bit as he tried to regain his balance, he resisted the urge to ask her what on earth she was thinking. What if he'd fallen? He looked down the stands and swallowed hard as he imagined tumbling down and then falling off the edge.

He listened, but only slightly, as she explained the mechanics of the game. He laughed. "Oh, I understand the fundamentals of how the game is played. What I don't really understand is why anyone would want to. And while I know the history of how the various elements of the game came to be, I still have not found a satisfactory answer to the question 'why'."

He raised an eyebrow and gave another half-hearted woot. "If you don't like it, why are you here?"

Sure, she could ask him the same question, but, well, she hadn't yet.

By the time Professor Bentley replied, Lewis looked outright miserable. He had absolutely NO idea how he was going to get out of that one. And he really didn't want to cheer loudly. For anybody. He just didn't. Oh why oh why had he even tried this whole cheering thing. Probably because this whole match situation just encouraged people to...well, cheer.

"I-I don't know." OH NO! Was this going to be part of the upcoming exams?! He had absolutely no idea what kind of sounds badgers made. No clue! He just stared at the professor for a moment, probably looking like he was about to run - if to look up the correct answer or because he wanted to get as far away from here as possible, he wasn't sure.

This. Was. So. Embarrassing. Lewis closed his eyes for a moment, swallowing hard. Why did things like that always have to happen to him? WHY?! He opened them just in time to see the Seekers zoom after the Snitch again. Okay, now or never. "Wooooo Gryffindor!" Could he go and crawl into a hole now, please?

Angelina was walking around the stands trying to find a place to sit. She knew she was running a bit late but she wanted to come still. After looking around a bit for a spot and not finding one Angelina was about to give up tell she looked down a little ways and spotted her friend Taylor. Oh they haven't spoke in a while. With a smile Angelina rushed down towards Taylor dected out in Slytherin colors for her house pride. Once aprouching her she said, "Hey Taylor. May I join you?" She spotted she was talking to someone else. With that she smiled to the other girl.

Good thing I don't really like sports in general."

Again with the half-heartedness. Well. She wasn't a quitter, "ONE TWO THREE FOUR. NO ONE BEATS A GRYFFINDOR!" Only a Ravenclaw, that was an inside cheer.

... why was she here. Oh. Right. Louisa, for the first time today, was slightly awkward. Smiling and looking down at her feet. "I..uh.. had a.. tough time in the past two months. You know, killing myself over preparation for OWLs and.. had a fight with.." boyfriend. "...a friend." Leaving out the fact that she played a game on him which backfired hard. "So!" Raising her head to look at Emrys, "I decided to come back from... seclusion. Quidditch match seemed the place to be." Nod nod.

... was the game over yet? "Why did you come?"

"Good to meet you, Lily," she said with a tone of forced niceness. "And yes I am. Ellie." That was her name, in case Lily didn't know. And she preferred to be called that. Though she did quite enjoy 'Captain Ellie'. Hmmm.

[/i]Sigh.[/i]

Lily smiled at the older claw. "It's nice to meet you to Ellie." The claw looked over towards the pitch briefly before turning back to Ellie. "I wish I could fly like them and like you..."

Lily was really excited to watch these matches and just hoped that she would be good enough to play.

And.... back to the match!

What had she missed?! Instantly her eyes scanned the pitch, taking in everything that was going on. OH MY BOUNCING BLUEBERRIES SECRETING JUICE EVERYWHERE!...............

The seekers were in action!

Seren, literally out of her seat by this point, watched eagerly as her voice failed her. Anya! That little bundle of sunshine was AMAZING!
Holding her breath, Seren watched-- as if in slow motion-- as Anya came up trumps. SHE WON GRYFFINDOR THE MATCH! ... and who'd have thought she was a gymnast on a broomstick. Impressive.

"ROAR ROAR GRYFFINDOR! WE'RE A FORCE YOU CAN'T IGNORE!" She was jumping up and down, arms flailing and grasping at anyone near enough to her to hug. A victory was a victory, but THIS, was a momentous occasion for Gryffindor. They did her proud, her inner mother lion was beginning to show, purring deep within her chest. So no, it wasn't her stomach grumbling.

His cheeks were the color of the Gryffindor scarf he was wearing. Well, the red part obviously. Why did the professor make him do this?! Why? And she expected him to PRACTICE that? So he would be a 'pro'? A pro in what? Cheering? Seriously? Would that do him any good? Was that useful in some way? Except for cheering on the team you were rooting for anyway. And he still wasn't sure if it was useful in that case.

But back to game. The Seekers were doing stuff on their brooms he could only dream of being able to do. And in the end they both...lost their brooms? Or well they ended up without them anyway. It was all probably some kind of awesometastic tactic he hadn't heard about. Maybe they were faster that way. Or at least the Gryffindor Seeker seemed to have been, since SHE HAD CAUGHT THE SNITCH AGAIN!!!!

Clapping happily for the Gryffindors, Lewis turned his head again when Professor Bentley happened started shouting again. "I'll never be as good as you." He commented truthfully with a nod, blushing some more as he quickly turned back to what was going on down on the pitch.

Emrys smiled a big, awkward goofy smile. "Well, I'm glad I sat here, then," he said, feeling a bit more cheery. He stuck his hands in his pockets. "I'm actually a pretty fair flyer, but I don't see the appeal in trying to avoid bludger-induced comas." He bopped a bit, raising himself up on his toes and then letting his heels hit the ground a few times as he watched the race for the snitch.

He pulled his hands out to clap, this time rather enthusiastically, as she cheered and Gryffindor took the match. He turned to look at her, biting his thumb's cuticle as he listened. "Sounds rough. I'm sorry." He looked away nervously.

And as for him. He shrugged. "Promised my mum." He shuffled his feet, ignoring the rest of the people around him. "'Get out of that tower,' she said. 'Go to the match,' she said. 'Maybe you'll make a friend. Or meet a pretty girl.'" He paused, his cheeks getting a little red, as he glanced back up.

"She was right," he said hurriedly, before fixing his eyes back on his shoes.
