Ducks, fifteen in all and quite possibly already named, live in this pond. Go on, take a seat on the rocky ledge and dip your feet into the water! Rest assured, these ducks will not bite, but if you just so happen to have any type of bread or cookies on you at the time, the ducks have been known to take without asking.
Waylon keeps a good eye on the pond and the ducks, so no funny business.

Loud and angry squawks.... that was a bad sign. Yep. But Williamson was taking it as confirmation that this hippogriff was, in fact, lost. And/or confused? HAD SOMEONE BEEN CONFUNDING HIS HIPPOGRIFFS?!
The Hufflepuffs got another angry stare for that one.
Willy leaned toward the tree the hippogriff was using as a shield, giving him a friendly smile even as he tugged his rolled-up sleeves down over his scratched arms. "It's all right, Mr. Hippogriff. You're just a lost little fella, aren'tcha?" He took a few steps toward the hippogriff and yet more in the direction of the forest than anything.
"I bet I can help you find your way home," he continued, interjecting more kindness and compassion into his voice than he really felt at the moment. "My guess is that you live back in there, right bud? Is that right?" He pointed toward the forest and took a few more exaggerated steps in that direction. "Why don't you head on home there? I bet there's some nice juicy ferrets in there... maybe even a few steaks."
Steaks, like the ones he had left out for the thestral from a few weeks ago....

The hippogriff poked his head out from behind the tree he was hiding behind and make a loud squalk. Loud and angry... he was scratching at the ground.
Glenn turned from peering at the ducks at was surprised to see a hippogriff near the pond, "Err - what's a hippogriff doing here?" She asked the person nearest her, a tremor in her quiet voice. She hadn't been talking loud enough to distract the hippogriff like Oakey had done before. Williamson seemed to be taking care of it, but never the less, it looked kinda angry.

Hey, Hey! stay over here Oakey carefully whispered threw his hands to the girl and gestured for her to get behind Tate where he was. He wouldn't want her to be the next Hufflepuff to make the Hippogriff go mental!
The creature probably has really good hearing.
Kennedy grew wide eyed and winced when Professor Williamson got injured.
SEEEEE!
That's why he bowed and kept eye contact. He sent a meaningful stare at the Hufflepuff boy, but it wasn't his job to intervene since the Hufflepuff Prefect was there. His eyes then turned back to the creature. It did NOT look too happy.
Kennedy took a VERY careful step backward. HE cared about his safety and for his limbs to stay intact.

Well, bowing certainly wasn't accomplishing anything and was just about as effective as the Hufflepuffs were asking all sorts of questions and making noise. Kurumi sort of just stared at the exchange between Professor Williamson and Alyssa. Now was not a time for them to really be speaking. Leave all that to the professionals unless asked for an opinion right?
Kurumi's wand hand flinched towards the holster in her pocket. The temptation to cast a Silencing Charm on all the students was too tempting. Yes, they all wanted to know why there was a hippogriff here. Yes, everyone wanted to know what it wanted. Did anyone know? Nope. If someone knew the answers to all this it would be Professor Williamson and, well, he had already said that he wasn't sure...so...discussion over, right?
And then...CHAOS! Hippogriff was upset and everything was happening. Kurumi stumbled and FELL backwards INTO the pond. Great...just what she needed in this freezing water but...OH?! FISH! There were fish in here!
Splashing around just a bit as she attempted to grab a fish, Kurumi emerged from the pond with a decent sized one flopping around in her hands. Sure, she was dripping wet BUT she did have a fish.
Shooting looks at everyone to just hang back, Kurumi slowly walked up to Professor Williamson, her teeth chattering just a bit as she offered the fish to him. "P-P-Professor...m-m-m-maybe h-h-h-he l-l-likes sushi, erm...fish?"

Glenn turned towards Oakey, the older Hufflepuff boy she had seen around school. "Okay." She whispered and ran over to where he was behind Tate, avoiding the gaze of the uncertain Hippogriff, shaking slightly. She wasn't much of an animal person she guessed, not the big ones anyway.
Her hair had gotten frizzy and messy, but she didn't really care. She stood and watched the Hippogriff, hoping it wouldn't change it's mind about them and barge forward.

Alyssa knew that she had made the same mistake that had sent her to detention once before, when Professor Williamson admonished her for speaking out of turn. She had spoken first without thinking!! 'You're supposed to count to 10 first before speaking, Alyssa.' she admonished herself. She prayed that she wouldn't get punished again for doing that. She would have told both the Professor and Headmaster that she had not been anywhere near the Forbidden Forest at all and that all she had seen had been from a distance. But she decided that the damage had already been done. In addition, after having interrupted them the first time, she DEFINITELY had no intentions on interrupting them again, just to explain herself.
So she decided that since the Professor was here, that she would leave the area. Better that, than say anything else stupid again. She also figured that with her leaving, that would reduce the number of people crowding around the Hippogriff. So she slowly backed up, continuing to keep eye contact with the Hippogriff, until she was a safe distance away and was about to leave the area, when she first heard the Hippogriff squalk loudly, and turned just in time to see it rear up on its hindlegs and then strike it's hoofs at the Professor.
She sighed in relief when she saw that the Professor, although hurt, was still able to calm the creature down. Deciding to keep a safe distance, Alyssa stood where she was.

Or it is unimportant? Psh…
‘Prague’, Gwendolyn started saying, but suddenly stopped and looked at the ducks. Maybe it wasn’t such a great idea to bring them at Hogwarts… They are looking kind of weird at me. Anywaaay—‘It was quite interesting, actually. The city is beautiful’ Yes, she could bare spending a few days with muggles… After all, it was Prague! ‘I have a few drawings…’, she started saying and flipped through the pages of her notebook. ‘Here’, the third year smirked and handed the notebook over to Jory. The first drawing was one of her favorites. And the second one, well.. that was all right too.
‘Yes, I know I’ll miss a lot’, the Ravie admitted. ‘But it is Egypt!’, she cried out. Yeah, that was pretty much the only argument for going she could come up with. And there were lots against: her dad had to work there, she would have to skip a lot of classes, she would be left behind with everything and her mum probably wouldn’t agree either. Hmph.
‘Erm… not really’, she replied. I had NO idea there was a theatre here.Muggle Studies Professor?, Gwen repeated in her head. ‘It seems like she never runs out of ideas…’, the girl mused and decided to go sometime and check out one of the movies. Even though she didn’t like Muggle Studies (even less since the door called her rude), the third year actually planned on seeing what was going on there sometime. ‘It sound quite interesting’, Gwen admitted. ‘Hey! I heard of the lion king!!!’, she said, looking really surprised. Thinking that her reaction might have been a little odd, Gwendolyn felt the need to explain herself. ‘I don’t know much about muggles. Much less about their movies… I heard about some of them, but I only watched Anastasia’Ihm.
Jory looked at the drawings Gwen had made. "Wow!'' he said marveling at them. "These look very professional. I like the second one the most.'' Nature was a beautiful thing. "You should be an artist. Unless of course, you wanna be something else?''
''I've never been to Egypt. But I'd rather not skip classes,'' the Huffie said still admiring the pics. "Have you made any other drawings lately?''
"Yup, she never does. Muggle Studies is my favourite class. I think it's because I know everything Muggle but it's also because the Professor makes all the lessons so interesting.''Jory remembered Anastasia. He hadn't liked the love stuff but otherwise , it had a good plot. "I watched that, only cos my sister was watching it and I didn't have anything else to do. I grew up with the Lion King. Used to watch it over and over. I'm sure you'd like it.''
Jory often wondered what it was like to be brought up in a wizarding family. He had never spent time with one. "What's it like being born into a Wizarding family?'' he asked Gwen. "Your lifestyle was probably is way different from mine.''
Harvey came to the Duck Pond for a bit of fresh air even though it was cold and the pond was frozen over.. but he still came out and sat down near a tree.
Lilly watched the chaos with the hippogriff, chuckling. She saw Harvey and went to sit down next to him. "Hello," she smiled. "How are you?"

While Alyssa was standing there watching at what was happening, she saw the Gryffindor Prefect step back and stumble. She tried to yell out a warning but it was too late. She fell backwards into it. She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw Kurumi get up unhurt, albeit totally soaked holding up a fish.
'She must be freezing cold,'Alyssa thought to herself. She quickly reached into mokeskin bag and felt around in there until she found what she was looking for. Alyssa grabbed it and pulled it out. It was a warm blanket/towel. Despite jnowing that the Prefect could easily use a spell to dry and warm herself, Alyssa waited for the opportunity to give it to her anyway.

Good, even if he had caused the scene he was trying his best to make sure nobody else did what he just did. Sitting down he put his hands in his laps and looked off into the distance trying to take his mind off the trouble he had caused. Sadly he felt as though millions of evil eyes darted in his direction he shivered and Oakey let his head drop. Then...
*Splash*
He dared not turn around to see who had just fallen into the pond. Oakey's guessed it had to have been Kurumi, last he looked she was at the edge of the pond doing that bowing thing. He was still curious about that albeit not as curious now because of the situation.
Oakey switched himself into the fetal position grabbed his rabbits foot from within his shirt and grasped his palm around it tightly. He might be blamed for this, but Oakey will blame his bad luck.

Tate gestured silently for the students around him to continue backing away from the hippogriff, especially as the creature was now reacting rather violently to the quiet ministrations of Williamson. He caught up Gunter by the scruff of his neck and dragged the boy with him.
"Don't sulk, lad," he murmured, keeping his voice low and soothing. It wasn't volume... it was all about timbre. "We bow to show the creature respect. Hippogriffs are proud things. But this one... doesn't seem to know his tailfeathers from a hole in the ground, so we're just going to keep on backing up."
And what the HELL was Hollingberry doing? He was going to STUPEFY her if she didn't stop behaving like a fool idiot of a Gryffindor. Strike that. He was going to stupefy her NOW. Tate gestured madly at the girl, drawing his wand threateningly. This. Is. Serious. Stop playing with goldfish.

Oakey went from fetal position to being dragged by the back of his robe by Head Master Tate I'm in for it now aren't I?! Oakey thought to himself. But Tate didn't sound mad. It might just be because he was keeping his voice low not to startle the Hippogriff himself. Really? So it is royalty in a way. Oakey spoke in a low tone.
Oakey got his feet to the ground and started walking backwards with Tate still holding him firmly. Sir, could this one be a younger one, I mean I know it's wild and all, but the Wild ones would know that whole bowing thing as well right? He kept up his quieted voice but loud enough enough so that Tate could hear him. Then Tate pulled out his wand! DEAR MERLIN I AM GONNA BE PUNISHED AREN'T I Oakey thought to himself hesitantly. He covered his mouth again with both of his hands I'll shut up, I'll shut up, I'll shut up, I'm sorry
Oh, it was being pointed at Kurumi, that's better...WAIT, NO IT'S NOT!
He uncovered his mouth. Sir, I can move on my own now, could you please let go. He asked Tate quietly and politely.

Fish still in hand and her eyes on the Care of Magical Creatures professor, Kurumi's eyes widened when she saw that the Headmaster of all people was pointing his wand at her. WHY WAS HE POINTING HIS WAND AT HER?! Was it the fish? Did he not like fish? Kurumi knew that it was a sort of acquired taste, raw fish that is, but she took the Headmaster as a sort of adventurous sort and one that would like sushi.
Looking down at the fish, Kurumi stepped back...way back...back to where she had been prior to falling in and slowly knelt down to return said fish into the pond. Okay okay...no fish...but they needed SOMETHING to entice the hippogriff to go back into the forest, right? Or...was Professor Williamson a Hippogriff Whisper TOO?! He was obviously a thestral whisper, seeing how he had handled things at the front gate. OBVIOUSLY.
Fish back in the pond, Kurumi bowed apologetically in the Headmaster's direction. He could...lower his wand now. See, scary fish was back in the pond. Hands up as if this were some sort of wizarding stick up, Kurumi stayed by the edge of the pond nice and far away from the hippogriff.

What could be worst than being bored and being tall? She had always hated it how instead at looking at them she'd be looking down at them, for example looking down at Selena, the Ravenclaw boy, The head girl that stole her shoes and Cass. She had been to tall, and wished someone would just cheer her up... but that wasn't going to happen.
Ryan walked down to the Duck Pond smiling. He did like Ducks and this had only been his first time down here because he had been so busy with his studies.''Ah hello Duckies.''He said waving to a couple. Was he insane?Anyway he sat down at the at the bank of the litttle River thing and laid down.Ah,Hogwarts wa such as a magical thing. He never wanted to leave. After a couple of minutes he stood back up and starrted to walk around. He loved the Outdoors and loved the peaceful ways of Ducks and the Magical world.

Arya sort of gaped at Kurumi flailing about in the pond and coming up with a fish. That little lioness was acting more like a Gryffindor each day, she was sure of it. Which was probably a good thing when she was handling all those crazy Gryffies, but now it was worrisome.
She backed up slowly with the other students and Headmaster, away from the hippogriff. She gestured at Kurumi to come over and join them out of the freezing water, but she wasn't all too sure if the girl saw her the way she was looking at Tate.

16 days until Christmas. Less until the holiday break. Ellie gave up on being cooped up inside. She had been trying very hard to stay there. In the warm. Keep from getting sick. But it wasn't working. She had been too distracted looking out the window at the frosty grounds, wishing she could go out and bask in the atmosphere of December. Much like most kids would do for summer.
Ellie was just weird.
Anyway, you know what was even sooner than Christmas? Even sooner than the holiday break?
QUIDDITCH!
Hence why Ellie was perched on a rock, studying the little book Treyen had given her last year. She was brushing up on Seeker techniques. One could never study too much, yeah?

It was really cold. Like really really cold. Why on earth Indiana was out in the grounds was beyond her. But she was able to wear her little eagle inspired ear muffs, so that did help a little bit. She'd been stuck in the castle a lot, because she didn't really like the cold. Indy had wanted to come out for a bit though. It wouldn't be that cold rgiht? Well. Not with her scarf and gloves on. And her funky ear muffs. She'd wanted to come down to the dunk pond, but as she was wandering towards the duck pond, she was considering something. It was really cold. Maybe the duck pond would be all frozen up. That would be something she would need to see when she got there.
Ooooh. Ellie was there! Indy smiled, wandering towards her friend. "Hey Ellie." Indy beamed, as she came to stop near her friend. Oooh. What was she reading?

Hmmm?
Ellie lifted her gaze to see a face, red with cold. "Hey Little Hutchinson." Next, the redhead eyed the girl's ensemble. "Cold?" She should be inside then, yes? "What brings you out here?"
Also, "Nice ear muffs."

Little Hutchinson. Indy giggled, smiling at her big friend. She was pretty sure that she wasn't that Little anymore, but then she was younger than her brother. That was probably why she was called Little Hutchinson. Indy kind of liked. "A bit..." IT was kind of cold out here. But not was bad as she thought that it was going to be. Indy had kind of been coasting inside, thinking it was colder than it was.
"Just came for a walk." Indy mused with a smile. A walk in the cold. That was a little bit of a wierd question really. But oh well. "Oh...thanks." Yup. She loved her ear muffs. Even if she didn't really like the snow.
