Ad raised an eyebrow. "He left it out on the table and watched me take it, Mikey" she said honestly

Mikey shook his head. "Hmm, let me think.. You're his girlfriend, Ad. I'm just his cousin who he'd happily 'torture' for eating his chocolate" he replied using 'quotation marks' for exaggeration.

Ad put her hands out like the were a scale. "But he let me have it. It's my chocolate now" she nodded. "And now it's yours"

Mikey shrugged. "Meh, it's too late now anyway" he replied before taking another bite on the chocolate. He looked down at his cat as he nudged the chocolate. "Never known a car like chocolate as much as this one does" he said not to anybody in particular.

Zhenya had been doing a lot of thinking about her Transfiguration homework. What kind of frame would she do? She wanted to do at least 2. She had a picture of herself and her parents, and one of herself with her brother - that would be great as christmas presents or something. She pulled out a few pieces of paper. She had one piece of crumpled paper, and a piece of flat white paper. In her head she was thinking of what kind of frame she might like to draw, and on a spare piece of parchment she began tracing a practise frame which she would draw on the parchment when it had been finalised. It had to be perfect!

Ad nodded. She looked down at Mikey's cat and chuckled, which was blocked off by a coughing fit. "Ugh...I thought I had gotten over whatever it was I had for the past two terms" she muttered. She didn't wanna become ill...again. Of course, it'd mean Maria could come back into the country much much sooner. She closed her eyes a little as a slight wave of nausea crept over her

Having finished her draft pictures of what she wanted her frames to look like, Zhenya began drawing them onto the parchment she was going to transfigure into her photo frames. She had used some muggle colouring in pencils to put the different shading and detail onto the parchment. One was going to be a dark wood frame - simple with different shades, and the other was going to be an ivory colour metal oval frame. She has just finished drawing them onto the paper, and they looked somewhat like she wanted it to look like.

Sophia sat in her usual spot. For her first four years at Hogwarts she'd managed to remain nearly invisible, fearful of any attention she might receive because of who she was related to and the circumstances of her first few years which were a matter of public record, if one knew where to look. She had never been the figurehead or spokesperson of the twins and without her mouthpiece, Sophia was perfectly content to blend into the background and observe. She was like her father in that way. Doyle Branxton had never been one to make friends either, though like his daughter he had many acquaintances. Her silence over her friendships infuriated Vivi, but while Fee was perfectly content with how her life at Hogwarts had gone so far, she was a little afraid of what Vivi would think if she knew the truth.

So, Sophia sat in her usual corner, her uniform perfectly pressed, a book in her lap as she studied. This was a big year for her. She needed to do well on her OWLs.

Having drawn the frames onto the paper, she decided it was time to put the photos on. She pulled them out and cut them out, so they would fit inside the frames. She had to cut the photo of her parents more because a square-shape would not fit into an oval shape. She cut it out just enough to fit perfectly in the space where the glass would fit, and layed it out smoothly on top.

Now for the incantation... she REALLY hoped it would work for her. She had never made a frame this way, the image was usually just in her mind, not on the picture.

It was still quite early when Sophia decided she was done studying. She supposed she should take a walk, or maybe she's write to Vivi. Or... Still undecided, Sophia rose, adjusted her shirt, skirt, and jumper to be sure everything was straight, then picked up her books (which were piled into a perfect pyramid-like tower with the books arranged from largest to smallest) and started to head toward the girls' dormitory.

As she moved toward the dorm she noticed a younger Slytherin with an array of photos before her and her wand out. Curious, Sophia slowed her pace to see what spell the girl was practicing.

Raven just came back from Quidditch tryout and.. She failed. She thought she need more practice for next term. What's wrong? When her first try-out last year was good, but she couldn't join the next because of fever.

She saw Zhenya, was doing the homework. She decided to drop and say hi to her.

"Hi. Looks you are working on Transfiguration Homework, Aren't you?"


Raven noticed at the older student. She never saw her before, but she just gave her a smile.

Zhenya rubbed her eyes. She had been concentrating too hard and now she had a headache.

She was startled when Raven spoke to her. Where did she come from? "Oh, yeah. I've forgotten the spell though," she said. "What was it?"

It was then that she noticed an older student, when she caught Raven smiling. She turned around and said "Hi!" nice and polite.

"Are you...kidding?" asked Raven surprised. Zhenya was working very hard for her transfiguration homework but SHE FORGOT THE SPELL???

Raven just smiled and shook her head. She took her wand and practiced the spell. She took a piece of paper, then she drew a square with her wand and casted the spell.

"Statua Habitum!" then it became a simple frame.

Zhenya yawned as Raven looked at her like she had a beard growing out of her nose, then she laughed. She was so tired she was getting delirious!

"I didn't mean to!" she said, smiling at the look on Raven's face. "AHH! That's the one!" she said. She looked down to her parchment and made sure everything was looking good. She picked up her wand from the table and said "Statua Habitum" and drew a square around her square frame, and an oval around the oval frame. The square one transfigured quite like the ones in class. As the colouring on the parchment became more solid, a rectangular shape began rising from the parchment. Then, covering the photo, spread a layer of glass. Her photo was encased around her frame - perfectly!

Sophia smiled back at the girls and it grew broader as both of the younger students managed to cast. "That's really good," she commented and then gestured toward the photo which now had a bit of a glare due to the firelight reflecting off the glass of the picture frame. "Is that your mum and dad?"

Zhenya smiled down at the picture, "Yes, that's my mum Lisabel and my dad Alexander. That's my brother Dimitri," she said pointing at the other photo which she hadn't framed yet. Just pretending it's there... "You're not taking Transfiguration, are you?" she asked. She hadn't recognised her from any classes.

"I'm Zhenya by the way," she said smiling.

"Yeah, good job!" said Raven and smiled to Zhenya. She noticed on Zhenya's photo, a good family photograph.

"Hey, nice photo. I think I must do my homework soon!" said her without any spirits, Raven never loved Homework, she was too lazy to do that.

As she noticed the older girl was interested with Zhenya's job, Raven smiled and greeted her.

"Hi." she said.

"Hi," she responded to the girls. "I do take transfiguration; fifth year. And I'm Sophia Branxton, it's a pleasure to meet you," she added as she held out her hand, her left hand coming up to brush a non-existent stray blonde hair behind her ear (all of her hair was piled perfectly in place in a Cassandra Rae-style ponytail).

Taryn was on her way past, intending to head into the dorms when she noticed a girl she'd seen around a few times, but had never actually heard her speak!

So she wasn't a mute after all! Interesting

Hehe! "Hi." She said to the girl, hoping that she wasn't being creepy simply coming up with them and talking. There were others around, she waved at them. New friends? Maybe?

It seemed she wasn't the only one poking her nose in other people's business today. Sophia turned and stepped aside to include the latest arrival. "Hello," she said.

Zhenya propped the photo of herself and her parents upright, and pulled the parchment with the photo of her and her brother in front of her. This one, she thought, might be more difficult because of its shape. But she could only start at the beginning, so making sure it all sat correctly, she pointed her wand and drew an oval shape saying "Statua Habitum."

Well, she was wrong about it being more difficult. In front of her, the frame, like before, transfigured itself out of the paper, as the paper shrunk into an oval shape. The glass, like before, spread over the picture encasing it into the frame. Her photo was complete!

Sammy left the dormitory. He was taking a well deserved break from doing some homework. There really was a lot of it. He looked over at the board thingy that had the Serpent Sidekick thing he'd signed up for. He was happy to see that they'd made the pairings...but not so happy that he was paired with a girl. Sure he'd met a couple of really cool girls since he'd been here, but a guy would have been SOOOO much better.

Sam let out a sigh as he took a seat in front of the fireplace. He leaned as far as he could back into the arm chair. He was gonna relax.
