Harlow had decided to try the little round brown balls Kennedy was giving her. She took a bite and her face twisted, "Ewww. Muggles eat these?" she asked swallowing the candy because it wasn't ladylike to spit.

She looked up when she heard someone coughing. It was a Hufflepuff boy that looked no older than her, but of course he was bigger. Everyone is bigger than Harlow, even first years. No even six years old. "Are you alright?" she asked him.

The girl was about to ask her friend what charm he used to change his voice before she realized he was eating something. She smiled, waiting for him to swallow, and although that wasn't a very elegant way of eating, Ari couldn't help but think he was rather cute. 'Heh. I really enjoyed our vacation, but I just couldn't live like a Muggle.' She hoped that didn't sound offensive; in fact, she admired wizards who could adapt to living in the Muggle world.

'I remember this! I had some at the carnival on Diagon Alley last year. It's called...cornpop, isn't it?' Or something close to that, definitely.'No, you're right, I've never been to a cinema before. I think it's nice, but the big screen still scares me a bit.' she replied with honesty.

'Oh. So you know the song. You must've seen it before...' Ari concluded, turning her attention to the screen. 'Does it end sadly?' she immediately asked. It was in her nature to want to know how books or films ended before she saw or read them till the end. With books, she usually read the last page even before actually starting the book. With this film, she could just ask Jory.

Was it just her, or did she really meet a lot of Hufflepuffs lately? Until a few days ago, Jory had been among the only two or three badgers she knew and suddenly...Interesting.

'Hi, Janice. Nice to properly meet you.' Ariadne smiled and shook the girl's hand, keeping her resolution to be more sociable this year.

'Can't beat the good old Disney classics.' Kendra smiled, remembering when she was little. Tears pouring down her eyes when the sad bits happened. But of course there was a happy ending. It would hardly be worth watching if it wasn't so. Kendra took some more popcorn out of her tub and ate it as the girl introduced herself in return. Vashti. Kendra added it to the relativly small amount of people she knew here. Kendra looked down and saw the popcorn bucket refill itself again. 'Do you know why this keeps happening?' She asked Vashti, she would know.. hopefully.

Gwen had never thought of that. She grinned.
"Not really... my younger sister Jasmine just came up with the name. Pickles is grey-ish and has more of a blue tint to his fur." Gwen chewed on some gummy bears, feeling the saliva in her mouth become sticky and sweet. "Do you have any pets?"

Unreality? But it could have been real, if magic was realy why couldn't talking animals exist either. Her lips formed a pout as she wondered whether it really could be possible, well to her there was a small chance it was. "Anything is possible you know." Thats what she believed which was why she didn't think the movie was completey unreal. You never know these things, sometimes they might just be more real than you might have thought.

Why was he laughing so hard if he had heard worse? Ness face went itno confusion, but she didn't really care that he was laughing, that was the purpose of her singing after all. "Really? ...and I was trying my best to sound bad." she probably wasn't trying hard enough. "Haakunna matata for the rest of you daaayys" She sang with a really pitch, just so she could sound worse than what Treyen thought was the worst. She sort of stopped in the middle of her singing..you know so she could laugh at herself.

"Good choice!" she gave him a little nod, because it was way more exciting to watch the movie without knowing what would happen. Treyen would just have to wait for the happy ending, which would come at the end of the movie.

Now one of Nessie's favorite parts were starting. It was the part where Timone and Pumba did their Hula Dance it was just too funny to watch and it always made Nessie giggle.

Selina threw a grin out in Kurumi's direction when her best friend explained her whole Pumba not being the smartest pig in the world. The fourteen year old redhead knew what Kurumi had meant by her original comment, she was just trying to make her friend squirm and by the looks and hasty reply of Kurumi she knew that Kurumi really did think Selina was offended- she wasn't. "Nah, I'm just joking," Selina replied, "I know what you meant, its okay. And thank Merlin," Selina said dramatically, "Finally someone understands I am a genius. Only took fourteen years." The girl decided to leave the whole Quidditch part of their conversation untouched. It was a weird subject for the pair of them. She knew that Kurumi was not trying out this term because of OWLs so she would rather just let the whole thing... well, rest.

An amusement park. What did that mean? Kurumi could not use words that Selina did not understand. The only muggle things she knew about were what she learned about in Muggle Studies and the few things her one grandfather talked about whenever she visited her maternal grandparents being that he was the only Muggle grandparent she had. Raising her hand like she was in class Selina asked, "Kurumi, erm, what in Merlin's name are you going on about? I'm sort of confused. And sort of was a nice word."

She chuckled at Kurumi and said, "Well you better get on that soon. You're a quick study though. You should be fine. I'll get the grass skirt.." That was one of the oddest sentences Selina had said in her life. Then again half of the time she was with Kurumi she always found herself saying the most absurd things. They would make for one awesome full length story... maybe Selina would write it. Eh, seemed like a lot of effort.

The redhead was just about to ask Kurumi what she thought about the movie when chaos broke out. Suddenly the girl was back in Selina's lap but Selina did not care. Her arms were now wrapped around tightly in terror. THIS MOVIE WAS TOO MUCH FOR HER. Forgetting where she was Selina yelled at the screen, "GET 'IM SIMBA!!!!"

The Atlantic 20 meters from home! Jory thought that was beyond cool. He told that to Janice. "Don't you get bored sometimes cos there's hardly anyone?'' he asked. Jory liked his neighbourhood with tons of people all over going about their daily activities, kids playing games almost every afternoon. "I guess you guys get loads of family reunions,'' he joked, popping a few more popcorn into his mouth and keeping his eyes on the screen.

"Wow! Three extras,'' Jory whispered. "A bit keen on learning, eh? Good luck with it all. What are the extras?''

The Huffie's ears perked up. Fishing? A girl?That's not something you heard everyday. "I'm impressed,'' Jory said. "Girls are usually scared of fishes. Who taught you? My dad taught me since I was about six.'' He looked at his friend slyly. "Bet you were scared of the fishes the first time,'' he joked.

"Sorry about that,'' Jory said grinning. "You must think I'm a pig.'' He brushed some popcorn crumbs off of his clothes. "I'm glad you did, you did just fine passing as a Muggle. By the way, did I tell you? My mom and Dad like you. And definitely Grace too. She told me to tell you to write to her. When you do, send my owl cos she's going to want to keep him for a few days, as usual.''

Jory laughed. "Not cornpop! The other way around. Popcorn. Take as much as you want, this pig has eaten alot already.'' He could put himself in Ari's place. He felt a bit scared when he had first come to the Wizarding World. "Don't worry about it. It just makes the scenes look more realistic. You'll get used to it,'' he assured his friend.

"Yup, I do. I kinda grew up with this movie. It's one of my favourites. Nope, it doesn't," Jory responded. "But I don't want to spoil it for you!'' he added.

The boy watched another of his favourite scenes. The fight between Scar and Simba. Action scenes were always the best.

Drats! She'd seen this movie, hadn't she? She was calling out her correct guesses, and it was a good thing no one else could hear them. Because he didn't want it to be soiled for anyone else. But she had to have seen this movie before. It was probably all her evil plot to... be evil. Yeah. An evil plot to be evil. SUPER evil. That was it.

However, after a moment, her prediction sort of settled into his brain, making him subconsciously blush. Wait. Why was he blushing?! No.. he didn't know. It was probably the prospect of her knowing this movie and his silly thoughts about it. Nothing else. At least, that's what he wanted it to be. He didn't understand his brain much these days anymore anyway.

"I refuse to give you any details- not a single one! I'm not going to ruin this movie for you one bit!" he said triumphantly, grabbing a few pieces of popcorn or so to munch on.

Minnie seemed to be enjoying the song. She too liked it. She didn't want to disturb Minnie while the song was going on. So, after the song was over, she said 'Holla Minnie!!!!'

Oh. So the cat had no pickl-ey background story to it's name. Ooh, a little kid named the cat! Kids could come up with some pretty random names! "Cool. How old is your sister?" Vlimia asked, drinking more of the odd fizzy drink named Sprite. Did she have any pets? Well... "Yes, I do have a few pets. Our family owns a Crup named Jack, I own an owl called Charles, two kittens by the names of Gwendolyn and Morgan, a Knarl named Spello and an old Jobberknoll called Aqua." Vlim finished. It did seem like a lot when she said them all at once. "But we have a lot of other family pets, too." She concluded. Well, that was what her parents did whenever a child accomplished something - bought them a new pet! They were already making plans to get Vlim an Aethonon for her graduation. Vlimia found it suffocating.

"Nah," she replied before popping some popcorn in her mouth. "It's quite fun, actually. We usually go biking almost every afternoon to the town, to see friends, you know... Family reunions? You mean the official one? Hardly even one. It was when my mom's cousin went home from America."

"Thanks," Janice grinned, still with her eyes fixed to the movie. "Care of Magical Creatres, Divination, and Ancient Runes. How 'bout you?" Ooh, the fight scene!

Girls are usually scared of fishes? That made Janice turned her head towards Jory. "Really? Because when you live near the sea, nothing really scares you." Except, maybe, that Mer colony deep down in the oceans, she continued silently in her head. She saw them when her grandma took her to the sea, about 7 years ago. And she's not ready to tell people her super-duper-mega-big secret, yet. "And, no, I wasn't scared of fishes. And I've been fishing since, uhm, forever, I guess..." She knitted her eyebrows, trying to remember. "I forgot, but it was also my dad who taught me."

"My sister's eight years old...and quite stubborn," Gwen didn't really know how that was relevant, but felt the need to add it. "We used to have a Kneazle and a Pymypuff. But the Kneazle ate the Pygmypuff and then died of old age, so that didn't end too well." She grimaced as she remembered the horror of discovering her father vanishing bits of chewed up Pygmypuff early one morning.

'Don't be silly. You know I wouldn't think anything like that about you.' Ari smiled. When she was really hungry, she ate like that too, but probably not in public, though. It wouldn't do for a girl. She was genuinely surprised when Jory said her parents were fond of her, mostly because Gwen had told her pretty much the same thing earlier that day. Weird how she was becoming popular with her mates' parents, no? 'Sure I will! I usually use one of the school owls, since I haven't got one of my own. Not that I'd need one, I very much prefer cats.' Or better yet, dogs, but they weren't allowed at Hogwarts.

'Ah. But I was close, wasn't I?' she chuckled, taking a bit of popcorn from Jory, swearing to herself that she'd remember the thing's name correctly fron now on. She was so clueless about Muggle things that she worried Jory would think her a snob. And she couldn't take that.

'As long as you promise it has a happy ending, I won't badger you.' she chuckled, thinking it would be nice to watch a film without knowing what's about to happen, or reading a book in the right order. She focused her attention back to the screen, glancing at Jory every once in a while.

Vlimia chewed just a few red Starbursts thoughtfully. "I recently bought a purple Pygmy Puff. My mother has an actual Puffskein, so she thought a Pygmy Puff would be great for all her children to have. Mine is named Tina, my brother calls his red one Blaze and my little sister's bubblegum pink one is named King Gummy von Pinkypuff." Vlimia explained, feeling more than slightly stupid while saying the last one's name. "King Gummy rules the toybox and her dolls are his loyal subjects." Vlim nodded as if that was not the most idiotic thing she had explained in her whole life.

The movie came to an amazing end with the final scenes showing a new lion cub being introduced to the jungle. Then quickly the credits began rolling listing everyone that had made the animated movie happen along the way. When the final thank you's where done rolling, the professor's voice boomed out of the walls.

"Thank you everyone for coming to the first movie in our Muggle Matinee Theatre. Please remember to pick up your trash as you exit. I hope to see you at our next movie, which will have a Halloween and Magic theme!"

Minerva got up from her seat in such a good mood. Still singing the great song as she left the theater.

"Sounds like fun,'' Jory told Janice as the credits to the movie began to roll. "Imagine going biking into town with your family. It's almost like one of hose biker gangs you see in Muggle movies. Except you guys are not sinister looking, I'm sure,'' he added.

''Coincidence," the boy said referring to Janice's new subjects. "It's the same with me. I like Care of Magical Creatures more than the other two though.''

"You bet they are. Well most of them are scared anyway,'' the Huffie said. "Do you do any other ''guy'' stuff?'' he wondered aloud.

Jory grinned. "What a good friend you are! I don't usually eat like that but I missed this junk food.'' He gulped down the last of his soda. Muggle junk had never tasted better. "I prefer dogs over cats. I like the way they're always excited to see their owners.'' Jory lauched into the explanation about the reason he suggested to using his owl. "You see, Grace adores owls. Whenever I send a letter home, my owls doesn't usually return before three days. So, sending a school owl is not a good idea.''

"Yes, you were. We gotta get you to learn more about the Muggle world. How did you find blending in over the summer?''

Towards the end of the film, Jory noticed Ari kept looking at him. He wondered if there was popcorn crumbs on his face. He quickly passed his hand over it but didn't feel any. He shrugged Ari's looks off. "So, what did you think of the movie?" he asked as the credits began rolling. "That's one big happy ending, wasn't it?" Jory got up and stretched a bit. "I've got some free time. What are you up to this afternoon?" He extended his hand to Ari to help her up.

Genius? Kurumi hadn't said THAT exactly, but she would just let Selina go on thinking that. There was no harm in it after all. Selina saw things the way they were and that certainly contributed to her STROKES of genius. "Then I suppose I should have told you sooner, because it didn't take me four years to figure it out you know."

Kurumi felt like smacking her forehead. Right. That was a word Selina wasn't too familiar with. "Um...do you remember the carnival that was in Diagon Alley a few summers ago? We road on the Bumper Brooms? Well, imagine something like that...but in a fixed location. So...a group of entertainment attractions and rides and other events in a location for the enjoyment of large numbers of people." That should clear things up, right? "Disney, the people who made this movie, have parks all over the world. Two in Japan actually, although...I've never been..." Not yet anyway.

Kurumi's jaw dropped at the mention of a grass skirt. "Well, then I'll get the apple to stick in your mouth," she replied, pointing to the screen.

After what could only be described as deja vu, Simba was victorious and then the rains came. "Like washing away the evil that had tainted the land," she nodded. That symbolism was obvious enough.
Kurumi jumped in her seat, thankful that her bucket of popcorn was empty so that she wouldn't spill again. Halloween AND magic theme? Interesting.

Glancing over at Selina, Kurumi stood up. "To the common room?"
