Presley skipped into the library, almost dancing really. She carried a huge text book in her arms, and she was delighted to finish reading it in the quiet of the library. But, she would need a new book then, for bedtime reading tonight. She did a running jump-and-slide in her sock-feet down the smooth wood of the library floor, and almost ran smack into Luna. "Lu! I've been looking for you!" She exclaimed, pulling herself upright and looking like a proper child once more. "Checking out new books?" she asked mildly, hoping to get some good input on what to start reading next.
Ooooh! Her, a liabrary and her bestie things just got ten times better!!!
She couldn't find her she raised an eyebrow! Where else would she be The Liabrary was the most quiet, peacefull, relaxing places in Hogwarts in fact it was the only quiet, peacefull, relaxing place in Hogwarts! ''Oh sorry! I decided to go to the liabrary just for a head start on classes and back into the routine again,'' she bent down to look for more books then noticing the ten ton textbook Pres was carrying in her arms ''Pres! Is that not.. heavy?,'' she smiled at her and went back to her book search once again
''Yes looking for some books as are you I presume! It's quiet enough now... Us Ravies need to enjoy it while it lasts...,'' she sighed the other students seemed to only need the liabrary for classes.. There was nothing wrong with it but the tended to shout last year she saw a slytherin girl step on a book!!!! ''Anyways! What have you been doing? And how are you,'' she looked up again, holding a few books next to her chest!
okay, obviously Tanya was a nerd,as walking into the library made her heart race for a second. Running her hand on the book shelves, she walked around, reading the leatherbound backs. "History of Magic. Muggle studies." She laughed for a second, thinking of how she wouldn't need a book called muggle studies, considering her backround. Grabbing Hogwarts a histroy, she sat down at a table and copied down notes, trying to get the whole book into her mind by end of term.
Gwen came in to the library, carrying her heavy book-bag over her shoulders, physically feeling the weight of all the knowledge she'd to suck in during her lessons.
She went straight to magical games and sports sections, looking for two books in particular: Quidditch Through The Ages and He Flew Like A Madman, both by Kennilworthy Whisp.
Where is that book, anyway?, Gwen asked herself and scanned the bookshelves. She was sure it had to be somewhere around. Let's see..., the third year told herself while pulling a red-covered book from the shelf. Checking out its cover first, Gwen nodded. This might be good, she thought and twirrled it in her hands.
Finally opening it, Gwen started reading. The Boil Cure Potion... not bad. History of the Potion: First off, the Boil Cure Potion will cure the drinker of any boils that they may be suffering from. Now onto the history. The Boil Cure Potion was invented in the early 1300's because of the newly made curse - Furnunculus. Oddly enough, the witch that made the boil curse, also invented this potion.Enough with the history- let's see the procedure of brewing this potion.
First thing to do was to take 3 Horned Slugs and place them into a heated cauldron. Next add 3 spoonfuls of Crushed Snake Fangs. Blaaah. This isn't hard at all, Gwen thought and flipped a few more pages. Perhaps she could find something a bit more interesting.
Sleeping Draught-Causes the drinker to fall asleep. A standard Sleeping Draught differs from the Draught of Living Death, which is a much more powerful version. Meh... not really what I was looking for, Gwen thought and placed the book back. Where was the other one, anyway?

Lilly's eyes zoomed across the bookshelves, scanning them for Break With a Banshee to read. Suddenly, her foot moved, the second-year tripping over her own feet. She blushed, turning to check who'd seen her. Just a firstie- she was alright. Lilly must've been the most clumsy girl in the school. Then, to add to the embarassment, her hand slipped on the bookcase, causing her to knock three or four books off. Maybe she should leave. Lilly picked up the books, putting them on the shelves in their places. Ooh! Good! One of them was the book of lies written by Gildroy Lockheart! And Quiddicch Through The Ages which she already had. There were a few more on magical creatures, but she didn't really notice them. Seeing the first-year's look at the famous quiddich book, Lilly frowned, then realised. "Is this the book you were looking for?" she asked her, holding it out. "I'm Lilly, by the way," she introduced herself. "Second-year Gryffindor."
Gwen smiled at Lilly.
"Oh, yes, it is. Thanks!" She took the book. "I'm Gwen, Hufflepuff first-year," she said proudly.
"It's fine. I didn't actually mean to find it, but I was being clumsy and stumbled across it," Lilly grinned. "Nice to meet you Gwen," she said, warmly. "Hufflepuff. Awsome. My twin sister's in Hufflepuff," she added wistfully. She didn't see her twin much since she was sorted into Hufflepuff. Lilly needed to get Violet a Birthday present, actually, thinking about it.
Gwen giggled. "I'm quite clumsy myself." Then she asked, "You have a twin sister? That's so cool! My father and his brother, well, my uncle, are twins, too. They were sorted in Gryffindor and Slytherin. Everyone thought it was odd that they were divided up that way."
That suddenly made Gwen wonder which house her younger sister, Jasmine, would be in when she started at Hogwarts. That was, if she was going to go to Hogwarts.

"Well, it is cool," Lilly said. "But we don't see each other much. I've got an older sister too. Rose, also Gryffindor. She's a third-year. Do you have any siblings?" she asked, curiously.

"I have two siblings," said Gwen, "an older half-brother called Henry and a younger sister called Jasmine." Her books slipped in hands, and she gripped them firmly so they wouldn't fall down. "I also have a Persian cat named Pickles, who I consider family. Do you have any pets?"

"Is your half-brother at Hogwarts? Has he graduated? Did her never come?" Lilly asked, smiling. If Gwen's brother was at Hogwarts, it would be could, as she would have his support and advice in her first-year. If not, Lilly would be willing to answer any questions she had. "I've got a little kitten, Smartie. He's a right little diva," she smiled at the thought of her fluffy little friend, randomly spotting the Gildroy Lockheart book she'd been looking for. Carefully, she slid it out of the bookcase, taking care not to knock things off again. Now she could read all his fascinating LIES.
"Yes, he did go to Hogwarts, but he's already 25 years-old now, so it's a while back," said Gwen. Speaking about him, Gwen suddenly realized how much she missed him. Even before coming to Hogwarts, she didn't him very often and now it would probably only be two times a year: summer and Christmas. "Don't you just love cats and kittens? I'd love to also have a Pygmypuff or Kneazle."

Ew, all these books smelled so darn OLD. It really made Paulie wonder how often Hogwarts actually updated their book collection. The least they could do was put a charm on them to make them smell like.. honeysuckle or maybe mint. But, no such luck.
He dragged his forefinger over the spines of the books as he walked on to the section he was seeking, which was Defense Against the Dark Arts. Yep, he needed to brush up on this stuff.. who knew if Tori's dad was gonna go berserk on him when they met! Either was, Paulie wanted to be, at least, somewhat prepared.

SO! She was done with her Charms articles, with a pile of books in her hands, the girl was trying so hard to balance on her feet as she walked from the reading lounge to the aisles between the bookshelves. Making a twist into the apparently wrong aisle, she spotted a familiar boy.
With a grin forming up on her face, Louisa spoke up, "Well, well, well.. look who's there." She supported the pile on her waist as she paused, "Polly boy. How's my hat doing?" She didn't feel as heatedly toward the boy anymore... she might gain that snappish attitude when he started talking but now, she was... well.. kind of... pleased to see a familiar face in the library. Nobody of her friends ever came up here when she was in.

Paulie was shifting his weight from one foot to the other, trying to determine which of these books would be best, when a voice grabbed his attention. He turned to see Louisa with a big old pile of books balancing against her waist. How very Ravenclaw. "Helen o' Hogwarts. Nice to see ya." He grinned when she mentioned her hat.. he'd forgotten about that little incident. "Your hat is doin' well! JB has taken a liking to it, ya know. Not to impune your good looks, but I've gotta say.. I think it looks better on him." heheh.
Forgetting the DADA book, and glad for the distraction, he leaned against the shelves and folded his arms. "So, what's all this?" He gestured to her large heap of studies. "You trying to get prefect next year or something?"

Helen of Hogwarts? Major eyerollage. Louisa didn't understand this nickname, not that much but she decided to let it go, Paulie was determined. Aaaand there we go... the first minute and he'd already started teasing, she gave a smug-like face, "I'm not going to reply to that. It only means you're still immature." While Louisa was a mature fifteen years old.
She took a glance at her pile and went ahead returning what she'd finished, holding the book and giving it a soft push to soar and stuff itself into the shelf. "Those, mister best mate, is my study-ahead schedule." Returning the last book, she turned around on her heels and crossed her arms, "What would a..." doofus ".. boy like yourself do in such an intellectual place? Need a help reading the books' titles?" Bahahaha.
Wist Ebony stepped into the library. She was wearing her usual black army-like vest.
Wist kind of liked the library, as it had lots of information and it was a good place to meet people.

Paulie gave a loud snort. "Immature?" He shook his head, then smiled. "I think you mean fun." Too bad her nose was in a book so often that she didn't know what fun was! Paulie sure knew.
A study ahead schedule? Honestly, this girl must not have any desire for fun, unless reading and studying and doing homework was her idea of a good time. "Lovely. You're so diligent, Helen," he cracked her a sweet smile. heh. It was quite strange - it was rare when he and Louisa weren't jabbing each other with cheeky retorts or rolling their eyes at the other, and yet.. Paulie thoroughly enjoyed all the banter! Louisa could definitely be a right piece of work most of the time, but he liked her. But she definitely lost points for dating the Brazil Nut and not Paulie's best mate.
"A boy like myself is in here looking up.." Love potions. The next two words were going to finish off his joke, but just as the words were about to spill from his mouth, Paulie realized that maybe his 'joke' wouldn't be such a bad idea. After all, Paulie wasn't all that bad at potions when he made an effort..
"Books! Just books, ya know. Light reading. Defense Against the Dark Arts mostly." Which was true a moment ago, before his epiphany. He absentmindedly began tracing the tattoo on his forearm. "So, uh.. how are things goin' with that numbskull boyfriend of yours?"
