Default Transfiguration Lesson III

As you enter the Transfiguration classroom you notice that, this week, it is in it's usual order. All the desks and chairs are in place, in their neat little rows. At the back of the room, instead of the dummies of the last lesson, Professor Magnus' desk is back, standing proud and cluttered with paper as usual. On top of that desk are two glass tanks.

Professor Magnus herself is stood to the side of her desk, rummaging around in the mess looking for something, and mumbling under her breath. "I'm sure I had the board eraser here earlier. I put it on there, I know I did." Seems that she's lost something. But the thing you are most likely to notice is what is slithering around her free hand. An albino corn snake. Meandering it's way through her fingers, it occasionally stopped to taste the air near her face, before going back around her hand.

CLASS HAS STARTED.

Helpful links:
Two new spells (Amplus Vermis Verto & Succurro Pedes) & first question.

Second question about cross-species transformations.

PRACTICE! Wand movements and incantations only - no snakes yet (Please make sure you only do the one for your age group!)

Come and get your snake!

OOC: I'm opening now so you can all have your characters enter and take a seat. The lesson won't actually begin until Sunday 13th @ approx 2pm GMT. Oh yeah, and *cough* the eraser is NOT in the room.

She was, as she'd thought before, one and the same with snakes.

She pointed her wand straight forward and then moved it from north to south. "Succurro Pedes!" The snake lengthened the proceeded to stiffen, just as she'd hoped it would. It wouldn't do to get up in front of the class and fail like Hollingberry had. Ha. A moment later, the snake began to curve a bit to form a handle. Sierra grabbed it by the handle and held it up to get a good look at it.

...and now it was time to turn everything back around. She pointed her wand at the stick and said, "Reverto!" The stick began shifting back into the shape of a snake. Once the snake was back to normal, Sierra got a good, proper hold on it then handed it back to the professor. "There, just as he was before," she said. Or so it seemed.
As Sierra took the snake herself to perform her spell, Isabelle moved slightly to the side so not to be in the way. And the young Slytherin did very well indeed. "Well done," Issy smiled, nodding her head in approval.

And he did seem to be back to normal as well. "Thank you."

Alyssa then packed up her things and approached the Professor. "Thank you for another interesting lesson, Professor Magnus." Alyssa said giving the Professor a smile before leaving the classroom.
"You're welcome, Alyssa. See you back here next term," Isabelle smiled as the girl left the room.

"Oh, no, that's fine, thank you Minerva. I'll be meeting their owner to hand them back in a couple of days." In the meantime they'd be sharing her office with Angel.

"Thank you very much Professor for this fantastic lesson! I cant wait for next year now. Have a good summer holiday Professor." he said smiling.

Oh well, Harvey was a cheerful one. And Issy was glad he'd enjoyed himself. "You're welcome, thank you and the same to you, Harvey. See you next term."

Oh...and she had just started to become comfortable with Snakey. Lightly frowning, Kourt slipped the snake back into the tank.. Maybe she could get one of those as a pet. They seemed friendly enough.

The young Gryffindor hitched her bag onto her shoulder and waved goodbye to the professor. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor!"
Isabelle ushered the rest of the kids out, making sure snakes were nowhere on their person, and giving a smile to each of them. "You're welcome, Kourtney," she said, standing in the door way as the Gryffindor was the last to leave.

Locking up behind them, she sighed and turned on the spot. "Now where the heck DID I put that darn eraser?!"
