"Finite Incantatem!" As a jet of a red light came towards him his spell took action and the spell practically dissolved in the air. "Brilliant!" he smiled |
Quote:
"Have any other spells in mind?" she asked while looking through the notes. She couldn't really find any that stood out that could be very helpful. Maybe he knew of a useful spell. |
Quote:
"This one!" he exclaimed whilst pointing to a note titled 'Diffindo' The dummies behind them would serve a good purpose. |
Quote:
She read the note "Ok so it says that Diffindo divides/separates an object into parts" She walked over to one of the dummies and aimed her wand at it "Diffindo" The dummy she was aiming at was split into two parts she smiled. She looked over at Scott to see how he did. |
Quote:
He did exactly as she did with the dummy opposite. He aimed his wand carefully at the dummy and said the incantation. "Diffindo!" He slowly drew his wand downwards and the dummy split into two, he looked over to Chelsea and smiled at her. "That was great fun" he said, whilst egging her on to do it again. |
Quote:
She walked over to another one of the dummies "Diffindo!" This time she moved her wand enough to split the dummy into four parts. |
Quote:
"Watch this" he walked over to the dummy and said the incantation: But this time he carefully positioned his wand. "Diffindo!" The Charm had struck through the dummy's neck which made only it's head fall off. He smiled at the results. |

This was fun so she was going to do it at least once more. She walked over to the dummy. "Stupefy" The dummy was shot back against the wall and began coming towards her again "Diffindo" The dummy was then split into two. She was quite proud of her work. Wait until her aunt and uncle found out how much she had learned. She then tried to think of where she could have placed that letter that she needed to look for. |
Quote:
"Maybe I could get some special protection from the Ministry as I'm only 11 years old?" Oh dear, did he just say that?"Sorry about that, got ahead of myself" he smiled again. "Watch this" he gestured towards some dummies. He walked towards 3 dummies which were lined up next to each other. "Incendio!" he said as he flicked his wand towards the first one. A jet of light was headed in the direction of the dummy, it then caught fire. There was now a fire on the ground. Normally he'd be frightened but he was controlling the situation. "Wingardium Leviosa!" he said, as he lifted the second dummy and dropped it onto the fire, in which it started burning as well. He then positioned himself so him and the dummy were both in line with the fire. "Stupefy!" The dummy got knocked back into the fire where his work on them was complete. He looked at Chelsea waiting for approval, but just started laughing instead. |
Quote:
"Well I know he wants to meet you...He wants to meet the boy who's dating his niece like my aunt he's a bit protective" she laughed she knew her uncle approved of her dating although he did say he wanted to meet Scott. Then she laughed at what he said next "Its ok you probably could if you knew the right people. But my uncle is only a governor of Hogwarts...wait I could tell him that there is someone wandering the grounds who shouldn't be here. That he can do something about" She watched as he practiced some of the spells they learned on the dummies. Standing there she started applauding him and smiled "Brilliant!" |
Quote:
Her uncle a Governor of Hogwarts! That was a big help. "I would greatly appreciate that" he smiled. "Thanks!" he smiled again, "That was so much fun" The thought of his freedom being taken away, and his life being under threat came back to him and he sat down in a trance like state. |
Quote:
"I'll send him a letter tonight and see what he can do" she smiled. Hopefully her uncle along with the rest of the board can get this person out of Hogwarts. She was still very worried about Scott. She noticed he went back to the leather couch by the fire place and sat down. Following him she sat next to him "Scott are you ok?" she asked him being quite concerned since he sat there frozen like. |
Quote:
"Thank you" he smiled. The board seemed like decent enough people. He sat on the couch, staring into the fireplace, seeing his aunt and parents, he muttered "What's it all for?" He looked up, slightly startled. "I'm going to go back to the common room, I need some more time" he expected disappointment "I hope you'll understand" he added. He hugged her, kissed her and then left. |
Quote:
Her face dropped "Its ok, I understand..." she told him. "Meet me back here when your ready" she told him as he got up and left. She decided to meet him back here later she was going to go for a walk. |
Quote:
"I have returned from my slumber" he said playfully before adding "Do you want to get something to eat? I'm so hungry" he smiled. |

Moments after she walked into the room she saw the door open again. It was Scott she smiled. She got up and walked over to him "I can see you slept well" she said noticing his hair was a bit messed up. He must have taken a nap while in the common room. "Yeah I'm starving" she added. She hadn't ate all day and was now just noticing that. |

He had to choose, now? He frowned slightly, looking around the room. What should they do, then? His eye caught the table of sweets again, and his smile came right back to his face. "What do you say we eat some of that stuff?" He stood up, keeping hold of her hands, tugging a little big as he went over to the food. He stared at the table for a while before just deciding to get a bit of everything. When he had an overly-full plate he went over to the chairs by the fire and sat down, patting the space next to him. Yep, that was an invite... there was enough room for two people, Dallin thought. |
Chelsea walked back into the room of requirement and went to her usual spot. Seeing the letter in the spot where he text book had been she picked it up and put it in her bag. She was relieved it was still here. Now she would never have to worry about her parents again. She waited for Scott to meet up with her later. Maybe he would look for her here first. She leaned back into the couch and must have fallen asleep reading her Charms book. |

With a grin on her face, Ellie followed Dallin to the immense amounts of sweets and delicious food. But he was holding her hands, so it's not like she really had a choice. Not that she minded, anyway. Following his lead, Ellie piled her plate high with cakes and sweets, just like Dallin. Well... maybe not as much as him. "Think you got enough?" She teased with a wink, and followed him to the giant fireplace. Accepting his invite to sit with him, Ellie scooted herself up close to him with a smile. She kissed him quickly on the cheek and took a bite of a chocolate cookie. Mmm. That was tasty stuff there. The fire was nice and cozy warm. Ellie pulled her feet up to the chair and her knees up to her chest. "This is nice." She said quietly. Of course they had a fireplace in the common room, but there were always students in there, making unnecessary noise and such. It was nice to get away from all the hussle and bussle and just relax here in quiet. |
Quote:
He brought his legs up, mimicking Ellie's position, and smiled at her. "It is," he agreed. He liked the quiet of this room and the fact that he was alone with Ellie. It was peaceful. Relaxing. Dallin tipped head head back against the chair, turning it so that he was still looking at Ellie. As he did, a thought occured to him. He opened his mouth to ask it, but... closed it again. It was personal, and he didn't know how Ellie would react to it. Sure, he wanted to know and he didn't know why he hadn't thought to ask it before. But... she'd never brought it up. Ever. And it was mostly him assuming things... Never mind. New thoughts, new thoughts. |
Quote:
It was just nice being here alone. And Ellie was glad that Dallin thought so too. Smiling, Ellie copied Dallin and leaned her head back on the couch. She turned her head so she could look at him too. Just as she did, she saw Dallin open his mouth... and then close it again. Ellie knew what that was. She had noticed before that Dallin sometimes had things to say, but he often changed his mind before he actually voiced it. "What?" She questioned him quietly with a faint smile. "Tell me what you were going to say." |
Quote:
...He did think it, though, and Ellie knew. So maybe it was just better to get the question over with instead of making up excuses that Ellie wouldn't listen to. So Dallin looked down at his hands and asked as casually as he could, "How many boyfriends have you had?" Because he was about one hundred percent sure she'd at least had one boyfriend before him. When he told her that he'd never been in a relationship before... she didn't say the same thing. So obviously there was someone else. Dallin just wanted to know for sure. He didn't really think this classified as being nosy. |
Quote:
But... It made sense. Ellie had never talked about this before. Dallin had said that she was his first girlfriend, but now that Ellie thought about it, she realized that she had kind of kept him in the dark concerning that matter. And it was natural for him to wonder, really. Especially after the chaos that had happened back at her house in Ireland when her mum brought up her ex-boyfriend so unexpectedly. So, just as calmly, Ellie responded. "Just one, other than you... Alex Reed." Ellie nodded slowly, adding the boy's name just in case Dallin wanted to know if he knew him. She looked Dallin in the eye, and even though she felt... slightly awkward talking about it, Ellie wanted Dallin to ask whatever he needed to. If he felt like he should know more, then Ellie hoped he would ask. She wanted to be as honest with him as possible, but obviously if Dallin didn't ask, she wouldn't say anything. |
Quote:
Oh. Just one. Dallin nodded once, looking back up to meet Ellie's eyes. Alex - the one that Ellie's mom had said reminded her of Dallin. Or rather, Dallin reminded her of Alex. At the time, Dallin hadn't paid much attention to that... mostly because Ellie had ran out of the house and it kind of slipped his mind. Then the other stuff during the summer happened and he was just getting around to thinking about it again. He felt slightly relieved that she'd only had one boyfriend, though. Honestly he thought it would be more. For some reason he couldn't name. But one... one was okay. Beside the fact that he didn't know the guy. It didn't matter though, right? ...Still, Dallin had another question. And he couldn't help but ask it, since Ellie had been so calm about the first one... "How... um, how did it go?" Obviously they had broken up, but Dallin wondered about before that. "You don't have to answer," he said quietly, looking away again, "I'm just... curious." He was a little more than curious, but she didn't need to know that. |
