Room of Requirement
 

You're searching the castle for a mysterious room you have heard of called The Room of Requirement. You have searched every nick and cranny of the castle but still no room. You climb the stairs to the seventh floor and come across a stange tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet. You laugh at the silly tapestry until you side almost burst. Then you remember hearing the Room is located opposite such a tapestry. You turn around expecting to see a door, but find a blank wall instead. You start walking back and forth three times concentrating hard on what it is you need. Suddenly a door appears. You open it and discover you have found the Room of Requirement...

Walking into the room, Eris' toom a few steps as it looked like they had entered a jungle from Africa....

wait...What?????!!!! O________e

Staring dumbfounded at the place around her the mock-explorer had the most confused expression plastered on her face. Why the blo- ,Why was there a jungle inside of their educational center of learning???????????

Next to her on the ground was a green tent that looked like a mini camp with a bunch of supplies such as a rope, canteens, and a machete

Oh, scary.

Sarah looked at Eris in confusion, "What were you thinking of when you were pacing out there?"

That machete looked scary.

...

There wasn't anyone who could, you know... use that in here, was there?

But, the jungle looked pretty cool. Yes, she thought the jungle was a nice touch.

Think of, what would it matter what she was thinking of?

"Erm...I was thinking about exploring and adventure...." Eris added blinking as she picked up the rope and swung it over her shoulder and then grabbed hold of the machete. "We can use it to cut are way through the forest I guess...there might be a hidden passage somewhere in here"

Eris still couldn't believe it. Merlin's Staff, a forest, in their school. Well...if anything screamed secret passageway or adventure it was this.

"Well...lead the way..." Eris grinned. They might as well make most of the forest before they were forced to head back to their rooms and go to bed. After all...the door just appeared, it might not appear again for them consistently.

Sarah didn't really know what impact thinking had on the room, but she supposed that in a school of magic anything could happen in a school of magic.

Sarah blinked as Eris picked up the machete. Eep.

"Er, right." Sarah said, gaining confidence, "I guess we should go... straight for now. Just hack right through those buses over there..." she pointed, and began to walk.

Eris began to walk when the sand beneath her feet formed the words "Point Me"

Nearly jumping back in surprise, pulling out her wand in defense even though she knew next to no spells. Eris stumbled to regain her calm and 'brave' self, taking great care the machete didn't hurt her as the boyish witch re-balanced.

"Point me?" Eris restated with a furrowed brow, "What does that mean?"

As soon as she spoke the words though, the jagged wooden wand in her hand spun till it pointed in a specific direction on her palm.

"Cool." Eris nodded her head looking down at the wand, the sand reforming over itself to conceal the message.

"Whoa," Sarah said, "On second thought, let's follow your wand, shall we?"

She supposed it wasn't every day that sand decided to stop being inanimate and show you a specific direction that you're supposed to go. Maybe going straight would lead them off the side of a cliff. Although, it didn't seem very likey that there would be a giant cliff in a room inside a castle. But, then again, it was a magic castle.

Sarah looked in the direction Eris' wand was pointing, "You don't think there are any... wild animals in here, do you?"

She had nothing against wild animals. In fact, some of them were sort of cute. But she didn't relish the idea of being mauled.

Emma!
 

Alfie Port made her way up to the seventh floor of the Hogwarts castle just a few days after the start of the new term. Since it was only four o'clock, she still had a good amount of time before dinner would start, which made it the perfect opportunity to meet up with her good friend and fellow Slytherclaw, Emma Malfoy. The two girls needed to come up with a plan to make it up to the bromance that they each had grown so fond of; the two boys seemed to have heard that their girlfriends were laughing at their bromance, when in fact the two girls were merely reflecting on the amusing part of their friendship. Still, they needed to come up with a way to both apologize to the boys for sort of making fun of their bromance (even though they weren't, really) and potentially get back at them for somehow knowing the details of their conversation.

And what better place to discuss than the Room of Requirement? So, after pacing in front of the wall three times and thinking of a place to discuss plans with Emma, a door appeared. Opening it, the little blonde Ravenclaw came into a cozy room with two large armchairs, between which was a table perfect for laying out parchment and discussing plans. The room was fairly large and had a colour scheme of both blue and green, reflecting the two girls' houses. There was a fireplace and a large wall of windows that poured vast amounts of sunlight into the room. Alfie, seeing she was first to arrive, took a seat in the blue armchair and waited patiently for Emma to arrive.

The blonde Malfoy dressed in jeans, a tee-shirt, and a hoodie walked into the Room of Requirement. When she reached the seventh floor, she pulled her hood on so that the bromance wouldn't see her go into the Room of Requirement because probably the two had seen Alfie go in there already. It was a safety measure because the boys had obviously heard about the two girls laughing at their bromance at the cafe and who knows what else they heard. They needed to be Top Secret so that they could plan their revenge.

As she walked into the Room of Requirement, she pulled her hoodie off her head and fixed up her blonde hair, quickly. As her brown eyes glanced about the room, which was set up with what looked like Slytherclaw colours (blue and green), a fireplace, and nice large windows that opened up the room nicely. And then she saw Alfie, who was sitting in a blue armchair! "Alfie!" cried Emma and she hugged her friend. "How have you been?" Then the blonde took a seat in the green armchair across from the blue one.

As soon as the door opened, the little blonde Ravenclaw whipped her head around to see none other than Emma Malfoy fixing up her blonde hair. Alfie let out a soft, amused chuckle as she watched the Slytherin remove her hood, obviously amused with the secrecy she was putting into this. It was then that Emma ran over and hugged her, to which Alfie returned the hug and let out a string of soft chuckles, "Hey Emma!" As the girl took a seat in the green armchair, asking how she had been, Alfie couldn't help but grin.

"I've been good!" Alfie responded with a warm smile, her large blue eyes focusing in on the girl across from her. "How about you? How was the rest of your summer?" she asked softly, tucking some of her long blonde hair behind one of her ears and sitting up a bit more.

Eyes locked curiously onto her jagged wand, Eris murmured in agreeably, sure that her wand wouldn't lead her into danger. Carefully the small witch set forward and raised her machete to hack through the bushes, rather messily.

"Eh, not worth it..." she shook her head as she preferred to push her way through the dark green leaves, holding the branches away so that Sarah could pass through as well. The wand continued to point it one direction, and Eris found that if she turned, the wand refused to turn with her, meaning it was set on the path it pointed.

After a good 3 minutes of pressing through trees, hopping small rocks over streams and freaking out over the smallest animal noises. In front of them stood what looked like an abandoned indigenous village by a cave.

"Where is everyone....?" Eris asked in wonder almost forgetting that the whole scenario was weird in itself, "Shall we look in the cave?"

A tent, talking sand, and now a village that could probably belong to the ancient Aztecs that was entirely deserted and creepy, and a random cave. Well, it was and adventure, and she was pretending to be an explorer. Sarah decided to go with it.

"Sure, let's check out the cave." she replied.

She was feeling braver. They couldn't get hurt in here, could they? It seemed pretty safe.

She began to lead the way to the cave. As long as there was nothing scarier that bats in there, they would be fine. Then again, what was an adventure without a creepy, old hag living in a cave in the middle of a jungle?

"Erm....Sarah...do you think you can find a torch or something...it's kinda dark in here..." Eris asked more at of frustration of not being able to see properly than of fear of the dark.

Taking a few small steps feeling out front of her as to not run into a wall, she felt the damp floor beneath her feet as she realized they were wading into a puddle. From the judgment of it being up to her ankles no matter where she seemed to step, the water seemed to be quite shallow.

Either way, she would need a change of shoes once she left.

A torch? Er...

Sarah looked around. What? No fire burning in the village? Lazy weren't they? She huffed. Now she and Eris would have to walk in to dank pit of despair cave in the dark.

She took a few more steps forward, grimacing at the puddle, when suddenly a few unseen torches lit up.

Sarah jumped and landed with a splash. Great. She had managed to get her jeans wet, too. Bloody lights should have given a warning before they clicked on.

"Well..." Sarah said, slightly grumpily, but grinning nonetheless, "that solves that problem."

Eris' eyes lit up "Now that's more like it!"

The puddle stretched ahead of them for another 3 minutes, little baby fish swimming around the puddle that made Eris wonder if there was a deeper lake around. "At least there arnt an-"

Glancing what looked like half a mile away from them was what looked like a shrine of clay, mounted higher and higher with a shining gold statute of a snake wrapped around a glittering gem the size of an owl.

"Sa-Sarah....look!" Eris pointed in awe at the beautiful prize glimmering like a diamond in a sewer.

Sarah hadn't really been paying attention, due to the ick she had been standing in, but she looked up when Eris said something.

"Wha-" Holy Merlin's Hat.

"Whoa." she said, "that's not something you see every day."

...

Pretty, pretty; shiney, shiney.

"How do we get to it?" Sarah asked curiously. It sucked that they couldn't use magic. Where was a retrieving spell when you needed it?

"Hmm....It appears with have to do this without magic...." Eris lifted her fingers in thought as though stroking an imaginary beard with her eyebrows furrowed. Suddenly, like a lightblub flashing above her head, the eleven year old snapped her fingers.

"I got it!" Taking her machete out she slid the rope off her shoulder, "Sarah, do you know how to make a good knot? We can use this as a grappling hook!"

Eris beamed, then they would climb up like true adventurers to the prize worthy of warlocks!

Sarah giggled a little at her friend's 'thinking face'.

Eep! Machete! Chill, Sarah, she isn't going to cut of your head with it.

"Yeah," she nodded, "I can make a decent knot."

She took the rope from Eris and began the complicated knot her dad had taught her to make the first time he had taken her sailing. Under, then over? ... or Over, then under?

She finally made a knot that was to her liking and handed it back to Eris. "That good enough?" she asked, slightly proud of herself.

The blonde Malfoy smiled gleefully as her fellow Slytherclaw hugged her back and then the blonde took her seat on the green armchair. Oh yes. She liked the colour of this armchair. It showed her snake-ness or so the fifth year thought. Alfie had been good? That was great to hear. "That's great to hear Alfie! I've been great! Pretty busy actually, helping new Snakes and meeting new Snakes in the Common Room. The rest of my summer was fantastic except it went by way to quickly," explained Emma, shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly as if it wasn't a big deal. "Basically, I spent the majority of my time in Diagon Alley and at my cousin's wedding with Braeden. And how was the rest of summer? With Theodore?" asked Emma, wiggling her eyebrows in jest as she said Theodore?

But that was not all the blonde Malfoy had been up to. Oh, no. She hadn't forgotten Braeden's whole little pounce slash attack thing on the two girls. Oh no. She wanted to get her revenge and she had been planning it. Her brown eyes glanced at the door to see if the two had come in, then around the room, and finally she met Alfie's eyes. Good. No Bromance. The Malfoy leaned forward towards Alfie, "But that's not all I've been doing. I've been plotting. And I think we need to get our revenge on the Bromance," explained Emma with a wide smirk.

Alfie listened attentively as Emma explained the rest of her summer, mentioning that she went to a wedding with Braeden and spent her time in Diagon Alley. That sounded like a pretty good way to end the summer. It was then that the blonde across from her asked how the rest of her summer had gone, adding Theo's name. "It was great," the girl answered with a soft chuckle at Emma's eyebrows wiggling. "I spent a lot of time in Diagon Alley too, I got to see Theo every now and then. We've been exchanging letters throughout the summer though, so that's been good," she explained softly. "I'm happy to be back though, so I can see everyone every day."

It was then that Emma seemed to grow distracted with checking the room, as though expecting someone to pop out and yell 'Surprise!'. When she finally seemed content that the bromance was nowhere to be found, the Slytherin announced that she had been plotting for revenge on the bromance. Alfie's eyebrows rose at this statement and she let out a string of soft chuckles at how secretive Emma was being. "Plotting?" she repeated, an amused smile on her face. "That sounds promising."

With a proud nod Eris agreed, "Better than any witch could make." she replied quite literally with a grand smile. Without a wand, the most powerful wizard would be left dumbfounded at tying a good knot.

Such complicated movements... she would have to ask Sarah to teach her later.

Now came Eris' favorite part. Sure she was small, sure she was scrawny looking and a child; but she had fantastic arm strength due to a series of childhood events and games.

Giving the rope, now grappling hook a few swings with her wrist, the young witch leaned back and with focus, flung the contraption till it hooked deep into the clay of the shrine near the top.

"Okay...can you climb up...grab the stone and toss it down?" Eris asked holding the rope out. When in the big picture of things, she decided having a giant stone heaved at you was the more dangerous role to take on. "Then Take the golden snake wrapping and bring it down with you." She grinned at the soon coming treasure.

Emma grinned gleefully, once again. She was glad to hear that Alfie had had a good end to her summer. "That sounded like it was fun!" added Emma, beaming. The blonde nodded at Alfie's statement. Yes, Emma too was glad to be back because now they could all hang out and have fun. And having fun, meant more cake canons and what not and chaos. Emma smirked. "Yeah! I'm happy to be back to!" cried Emma.

The blonde's eyes glittered with excitement at the idea of pulling a wonderful, sneaky, girl powered prank on those bromancers. Hehe. She had been waiting for her revenge all summer. The blonde smirked and then rubbed her hands together. "Yes, plotting. We need to get them back. Show them who really runs the world." Oh yes. Her Slytherin side was blooming. Sounds promising? Was that a good sign!? Was Alfie in? "So would you be interested in joining me?" asked Emma, with a wicked smile on her face.

Alfie gave a nod as Emma asked if she was interested in joining her. Of course she was! "Of course I'll help!" the little blonde assured her, her expression contrasting greatly to that of the girl across from her. Where Emma had a plotting-appropriate smirk, the little blonde Ravvie across from her seemed to be more amused than anything. Her expression seemed to suggest she was going for a happy walk around the grounds rather than plotting against the bromance. "What exactly did you have in mind?" she asked, her blonde eyebrows raising just slightly.

"I don't think we can jump on Braeden like he jumped on us..." she pondered aloud softly, brows furrowing just slightly though she let out a chuckle a moment later. "But I also feel a bit bad that they think we were making fun of their bromance...even though they somehow found out about our private conversation..." Alfie's eyebrows furrowed just slightly, "How did they find out about that?"

Sarah beamed. Eris thought her knot was good. Yay! :woot:

She watched with wide eyes as she watched Eris throw the rope. Whoa. Impressive. Even Sarah, who had played three sports ever since she could walk, probably couldn't have done any better.

Erp. She... had to climb up there?

Ok, ok. Come on, Oliver. Where's your adventuring spirit? She could totally do this. Yes. Probably.

"Sure," she said, sounding more confident than she felt.

She grimaced and began to shimmy up the rope. She looked down once or twice to gauge how far up she had gotten. At least she wasn't afraid of heights. Upon reaching the top, she grabbed the giant gem-thing and tossed it down to Eris, "Heads up!" she yelled.

Please don't drop it!

Then, just as she grabbed the golden snake wrapping, and began to descend, she heard a rumbling noise.

Oh, snap.

Emma grinned happily as Alfie said that she was in on the plan and that she would help. "Excellent!" exclaimed Emma, as her smirk grew wider. Mwahaha. This was perfect. "Well... I have a few ideas in mind, you know," said Emma, shrugging nonchalantly with a wide smirk present on her lips.

The blonde Malfoy laughed at the idea of Alfie and her jumping on Braeden. Emma nodded. "Now that would be pretty hard, you know," she exclaimed, chuckling as she shook her head. The blonde tilted her head to the side as she listened to Alfie explain how she felt that they found out about the two of them talking. Emma nodded. "I know what you mean. But we were only having a laugh, we were teasing. Honestly, I don't know how they would have done that. You or I didn't tell them. Were they spying on us? I wonder what else they could have heard?" began Emma as her smile began to vanish from her face. Oh Merlin.

The Slytherin began twirling with a piece of her hair. "I was thinking we could prank them in a friendly way. You know, we could do something with food."

Alfie gave an honest shrug as Emma wondered aloud about how the two boys could've heard about their conversation. "Well, who knows?" she said with an amused smile, "Either way, you're right, we were only teasing." But of course the two girls had only been teasing the two boys, both of them found the bromance to be completely amusing. Or at least, Alfie did and most likely Emma felt the same. As Emma suggested they prank the bromance in a friendly way, possibly using food, Alfie's smile widened just slightly. "That sounds like an interesting idea," she agreed softly, blue eyes falling to the table thoughtfully as she considered it. "Like...a food fight of some kind?" the blonde suggested, flashing the girl across from her a grin.

A food fight could definitely be fun. And it would allow the two girls to prank them in a more playful manner. The last thing they wanted to do was jump on top of the bromance and potentially injure them, like some members of the bromance in question...

Eris grinned at her friend's bravery, adventurers like them didn't have room for fea-

"Uh....erm....uh... SARAHHHHHH!!!!!!" Eris stammered before pointing her shaking hand down one of the caves tunnel, the gem tucked under her other arm with a look of horror engraved on her young face.

Boulder!!!!!!

"Quick...we gotta get out of here!" Eris glanced towards Sarah, refusing to leave the spot till her friend got safely down from the alter, though the boulder was crashing through the cave and was sure to meet them quickly.

"Jump!" Eris told her, quite confident that even though she was small, she was strong enough to catch her companion safely.

Not that she tried it before, but hey, you need a first for everything.

Emma smiled as Alfie confirmed that they were only teasing about the whole bromance. Good, so Alfie hadn't thought that they were being a bit too rough on them. Hmm.. Who could have told the guys? This still bugged Emma. Was it Jay? Or was Bree secretly spying on them, sent by Theo!? :whaa:

And before she was about to talk, Alfie suggested that they pull a prank that would be like a food fight. Emma's eyes widened and an evil smirk appeared on her face. "Now that is a wonderful idea. I like that idea. We could bake them a cake and decorate it all nicely. And then we can invite them downstairs, apologize for making fun of the bromance, and then throw the cake at them..." began Emma, as her smirk turned into a wide smile.

Emma chuckled and beamed a smile of pure amusement as she watched the scene play out in her head. "We could do something like that... I do really like the food fight idea, though we'd have to make sure that Theo doesn't bring another cake canon or a food launcher," explained Emma, as she began chuckling. Merlin, she'd never ever ever ever let poor Mr. Dumble live another day without being reminded of the Cake Canon. Oh Merlin. She would totally bring it up at his and Alfie's wedding during a speech or something. 'My second fond memory of Theodore Dumble was in the Giant Treehouse during my fourth year of Hogwarts. We were celebrating Brae's birthday and it kind of turned into a food fight. Girls versus boys. You see, the girls were doing well. We were winning, until, Theo whipped out his secret weapon. The cake canon. Then he won,'. The Malfoy smirked.

Ooohhh... that was what the rumbling noise was...

Wait... OMGOMGOMG

JUMP?!?! She couldn't jump she was like, a hundred feet up! ... Jump, or boulder? Yeah, yeah. She was coming.

Geronimo! She jumped off, arcing through the air and desperately wishing that she wouldn't die from the jump... and that if she did, poor Eris didn't get killed waiting for her.

Eyes glancing at the boulder and then back at Sarah, Eris suppressed the urge to yell 'hurry' with great difficulty, knowing rushing her would make it harder. Luckily though, Eris didn't have to wait long as Sarah flung herself off the shrine.

Tough cookie, that one

Like a football player running back a few steps to be perfectly positioned for the catch, the small witch splashed backwards quickly causing the water to get more territory covered on her pants.

"Gotcha!" Eris exclaimed with a beam, as her strangely strong little arms caught the witch and helped her down to the ground, which, considering Eris' size, was not very far down at all.

Though she let herself from a moment of pride, the boy-girl of a witch realized the boulder was closer than in was a few seconds ago, of course.

"RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!" Eris let out before grabbing her friend hand a hurdling herself out of the cave like a speeding spell.

True, of course, to any adventure book or movie, the cave began to collapse around them, but the boulder crushed any debris ahead of it like they were made of sand.

Eris closed her eyes hard trying to think of a way to not die from the falling cave or boulder when all of a sudden a grand door, not even two feet away from them, opened outwards and the eleven yearold tumbled out onto the hallway of the school.

Still wet and raggedy looking from their adventure, Eris turned behind to see that there was no longer a door, but a wall.

They were back in the school, almost like they had dreamed if their clothes were not evidence.

"That.....was wicked" Eris grinned lowly with satisfaction.

Sarah blinked. Then burst out laughing.

"I... can't.... believe that.... that just happened!" she gasped between fits of laughter. "Oh, Merlin, that was totally wicked!" :lmao:

Sarah tried to calm her breathing a beamed at Eris, "That was a spectacular catch, by the way."

She looked down to see the golden snake resting loosely in her hands, and the giant gem in Eris'. Merlin, what an adventure. If anything bonded two first-year girls' it was running for your life and gaining immense wealth in ancient treasure.

Eris held out her hand for a high five, " And you had an impressive jump." the small witch beamed at how quickly and without much hesitation the latter had flung her eleven year old body off a giant clay shrine.

Looking down at the gem, Eris gave a thoughtful frown, "I can't believe I would be thinking this....but I have enough wealth...and this is probably the schools....think we should take it to the headmaster?"

Merlin, Eris wanted to keep it, and she was a Slytherin, her house choice practically screamed for her to keep it. If they got caught stealing Hogwarts property, even if they really hand't, the young witch didn't want anymore house points lost.

Sarah smacked her hand against her friends, and laughed, "Why thank you, but it would have been pretty useless if you hadn't caught me." Seriously, she had a life debt.

She sighed, looking back down at their prizes, "Yeah, we probably should... well, on the bright side," her mischievous grin was back, "we get an excuse to see the headmaster!"

Ooh, she bet there was all sorts of interesting stuff in there. Myriads of magical items that had only existed until then, in her dreams.

Sarah stood up and dusted herself off, then held out a hand to help Eris up, "Come on," she grinned.

It was too bad they had to give up their hard won treasure, but it was the right thing to do.

Orchid looked around her making sure she was alone, then walked by the wall on the seventh floor corridor and thought of an open field with Quidditch posts, as hard as she could. When the door appeared she smiled and walked in with her Firebolt 600 in her left hand and her beater's bat in the other, not realizing the door wasn't closed all the way.

Lauren had been more than a bit surprised when she saw Orchid making her way down the Seventh floor corridor, broom in hand. Amused and confused, she chased after her friend, crying "I think the Quidditch pitch is in the other direction!"

Awwww, how much Nessie loved this place. She had been to the room of requirement plenty of times last year and she wasn't going to stop coming here. It was her place to get away and just be.

Today she had her guitar with her, she had tranformed the room into a music room. The room was now full with all different sorts of instruments. There was even a stage which a piano in the right corner, then about six different guitars leaning against the back wall, a drum kit in the middle of the room and many more other instruments all around. She didn't really need to use any of the instruments because she had brought her own guitar but she thought of usuing the Piano later. She loved music it was her life, she didn't know what she would have done without it. She noticed there were even michrophones in the room. This would be the perfect room for a band to use.

She walked up on the stage by one of the microphones and started playing her guitar. As she did so the other instruments started to follow her lead. OMG! This is so AWSOME! She thought. She turned and started the song again. She smiled this was so much fun.

Orchid peaked her head out the door when she heard a familiar voice yelling something about Quidditch. "Lauren! Hi! I haven't seen you since the train, I see you got into Gryffindor though! Congrats! I'm a Slytherin now, so I guess we're supposed to be enemies and all that." She said as she rolled her eyes and went to go hug her friend, broom and bat still in hand. "So how have you been?"

Alfie's blue eyes lit up with amusement as Emma started to build upon their plans rapidly, suggesting that they invite the boys downstairs, offer an apology, and then throw the cake at them. Letting out a chiming soft chuckle, the blonde Ravenclaw across from her couldn't help but be completely amused with the idea of possibly throwing cake into the bromance's faces. "I love it!" she admitted with a grin, listening as Emma mentioned that they would have to make sure that Theo didn't bring along his trusty cake cannon.

"I don't think he'd bring that along if it's just an innocent invitation to the Kitchens," Alfie assured her with an amused smile. "We're doing this in the Kitchens right?" She couldn't help but be a bit excited for this; what would be more fun than starting a food fight? It was a perfect way to both apologize, and get their playful revenge.

Jezabel marched up to the tapestry of that stupid wizard trying to teach idiotic trolls to dance. Her older brother Keegan had explicitly said the mysterious Room of Requirement was around here somewhere. She closed her eyes to remember his words better.
Okay, so, when I got to the tapestry, there was nothing there. No door, nothing. But that's the trick of the Room, you see. It doesn't want to be found, unless you either really need it or know what to do.

I was just pacing - you know, the way I do when I'm thinking - when suddenly a door appeared in the wall opposite the tapestry! I opened the door ... and I won't tell you what was there. Best to leave some secrets secret, Jez.
Jez started pacing, up and down the corridor. As she passed the tapestry a third time, a door appeared in the wall opposite, just like Keegan had described!
Jez twisted the handle, and slowly opened the door ...

Lauren grinned broadly at the sight of Orchid's face, returning her hug eagerly. "I know! It feels like ages! And yup, I'm a proud lioness," she smiled again at this, truly happy in the house of red and gold. "And pfft, enemies! As if any kind of institution could keep us apart," Lauren added with a playful wink. "Happy being a snake? My Dad will be so proud," she teased.

"I've been good. Just settling in with my house and classes. Haven't met many people though, which sucks. I'm missing Dad heaps and going through a major caffiene withdrawal. But the awesomeness that is Hogwarts compensates for all that! Did you hear about the squid in the lake? That's so wicked," she was babbling, but she couldn't help it, she was so excited to see her friend again!

"How about you? And what are you doing up here with your broom? I'm pretty sure the Quidditch pitch is outdoors," she informed her with a teasing grin.

"And look! Eyeliner!" Lauren pointed to her eyes with something akin to pride.

I didn't listen to the song, but I'm assuming it's pretty XD
 

Just a few minutes ago Isobel had realized that she had never been to the Room of Requirement. Not just that, she had only been to the seventh floor for class....like Astronomy, and she thought that was all. Maybe her mind had spontaneously combusted.

Isobel skipped along the corridor, because she could not have skipped up the stairs-that would have been dangerous. She looked around and smiled when she caught sight of Nessie. She knew that was her name, but she had never really talked to her before. She had introduced herself on the train, but they hadn't talked much.

Isobel decided to follow her in to the Room of Requirement, for two reasons. 1) Because she wanted to talk to her, and 2) because she had no idea what she wanted the room to turn into. She walked into the room and looked around with awe. The entire thing was filled with different sorts of instruments and things related to music.

She walked slowly over to where Nessie was and enjoyed the music she was playing. Why was everyone such a better musician than her. Well, it wasn't that hard considering she couldn't play a single instrument. "That's really pretty," she said with a smile. "Where did you learn to play?"

Orchid laughed. "So true." She said with a huge smile on her face. "Oh, I bet he would be, I wish I would be able to say the same for my dad. I have been to terrified to owl him about which house I got into, he and I were both really looking forward to me following in his foot steps and all, by getting into Ravenclaw," Her smile faultered slightly at this. "but I'm sure my mother would be so proud." She said rolling her eyes. "But so far, my house has lost the most points, I did contribute to that by being late to Charms class this morning." She admitted, blushing slightly. "And I have made no friends within my house yet. You and William are my only friends in all of Scotland." Orchid said smiling slightly. Dad would be so proud to know that I've made barely any friends and am in Slytherin. She thought to herself, being sarcastic.

"Why are you going through caffeine withdrawal? You know they have coffee and caffeinated tea here, right?" She asked Lauren, tilting her head slightly in confusion. "Squid in the Lake?! Since when?" She asked her friend excitedly. "We have to go see it!"

"My broom? Oh, you know, just gonna go for a fly. I figured maybe jumping out of one of the windows would help me get the height that I want, even sooner than just starting from the ground." She joked, and winked at her friend. "Actually I was coming to the Room of Requirement to practice my Quidditch skills, tryouts for my house are this coming week so I have to be top notch if I want to make the team." She said while her mind trailed off slightly trying to think of different moves and flying and aiming adjustments she could do to help her game improve.

"Oh my goodness! That looks so good! It really defines your eyes and makes them more prominent! I love it!" She almost squealed.

Katie concentrated hard on what she wanted the most, a place to read every book she could ever want to read, a place that she could spend all her Saterdays, just reading peacefully with no noise. All of the sudden a door started to appear. She opened it to find rows and rows and rows of books. She found all her favorites quickly. Wow all these books she thought, why it's incredible, amazing! She wished she had a place to sit though, and her wish came true because as she turned the corner of the large book case a comfortable chair had appeared! This place has everything, I wish I could stay here forever! She had to get to class though and went through a maze of book cases before she could find the exit and watched the door dissapear as she walked out. I hope I'll find it again

"Awww, honey, I'm sure he'll be proud no matter what. You rock, okay," Lauren told her friend with a warm smile"Besides, if he kicks you out, you can come live with Dad and I," she teased. Instantly, the tenor of the conversation changed at the mention of her mother. There were obviously some issues there, but Lauren wasn't aware of them so she just smiled sympathetically.

"Why were you late?" Lauren asked out of curiousity. "And don't worry about it! Just earn double the points back and it'll all be forgotten," she added with a wink. "Are people not friendly? I've made one Gryffindor friend but so far everyone else seems kind of unfriendly. It's a bit intimidating," Lauren confessed with a frown.

"The uh, coffee here is pretty much un-drinkable. I think the House Elves are still acting weird, or something. I've had some green tea from Kurumi, our Prefect. But still. I'd literally kill for Starbucks. Literally. " she explained, with a chuckle.

"And yeah! It's apparently huge! I haven't seen it yet, but it's my current mission. You should help me! Ialsoreallywannaswiminthelake!" Lauren babbled excitedly, because she loved to swim and explore and experience.

At Orchid's jokes Lauren's eyes widened in shock, completely blown away at her intententions, until she revealed herself and Lauren grinned "Haha. Very funny," she smiled, her voice laced with playful sarcasm.
"Oh, is this that room you talked about?" she asked.

Raven just remembered that her brother ever told her about room of requirement. She wanted to find it. SO, Raven reach the seventh floor and thought about her wish about the room


I need a place where I can relax. A nice place with comfy coach, warm meals and coffee. suddenly there was a door, then Raven try to reach it. When she entered, it was a nice room with comfy coach, meals, and coffee.

Wicked. So, here it is the room of Requirement? I will ask Zhenya, Lana or Desiree to be here

"Oh, trust me, you won't want me to live with you." Orchid laughed. "I'm a bit of a clean freak when it comes to where I live."

"Couldn't find the classroom, I arrived just as the teacher announced class had begun." She said with a slight frown. "Well, I've tried making conversation but nobody really responds, and then I just feel awkward."

"Oh. Well, I guess I wouldn't have known that seen as I'm not a big coffee drinker, I prefer tea, but that sucks." She said and then chuckled lightly. "I bet you would." Orchid said to her friend teasingly.

"Are you kidding?! I'm gonna hug that thing!" She joked. "But there is no chance that I'll swim, especially with a GIANT Squid, he'd probably eat me for his breakfast!" She laughed.

"I thought it was, especially by the look on your face, it became very comical." She teased. "Yes, ma'am. Wanna join me?" She asked Lauren.

"Oh," Lauren blushed slightly. "Probably not the best idea then," she muttered, feeling immensely embarrassed. The messiness would not be a problem, as Lauren did not even have a home. Yep, totally embarrassing. Orchid probably had a home, and it was more than likely a nice one.

Mustering up a supportive smile, however, she responded to her friends dilemma "Oh, that sucks! Totally unlucky! And I know what you mean. I've tried talking to so many Gryffindors and they completely ignore me. It's worst than I thought it would be," Lauren confessed. "At least I have you!" she beamed.[B] "And trust me, everyone ignoring you is totally missing out."[/B]"I like tea too, but coffee is better. It results in more caffiene," she justified with a casual shrug. "And I will hold you to that hugging of the Squid. I demand photographic evidence in fact!" Lauren teased with a wink.

"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself," she grinned "And yes! Absolutely, let me get my broom," Lauren dashed out of the room in the direction of her Common Room, returning only minutes later with her broom and bat in hand. "Ready?"

Chelsea walked up the 7th floor. She never really went all the way up here but she heard stories about the Room of Requirement. She just needed a place to relax that not everybody knew about. Suddenly she saw a door. Is this the room of requirement door? It has to be I don't remember this door being here a second ago She opened the door and saw she found the room of requirement. She noticed a couch by a fireplace and went to sit on it. This will be a nice place to work on my studies she thought.

"Why are you blushing?" Orchid asked curiously. "I'm the 'freak' as some people might say."

"Are you okay Lauren? You seem a bit...odd today." She asked clearly concerned for her friend. "And same goes for you, those people don't know what they're missing." She said hitting her arm lightly and smiling slightly. "Definetly! I'll need a picture to send to my father." She laughed.

Orchid grinned at her friend as she returned with broom and bat in hand. "Ready?"

"Oh, no reason," Lauren said with a flippant wave of her hand. It really didn't matter and she wasn't particulary wanting to confess her insecurities about her unusual life to Orchid. "And there's nothing wrong with being clean," she smiled warmly.

"I'm fine," she replied a bit awkwardly, never one to talk about her feelings simply because it wasn't something she could do with her father "I'm just a bit tired and missing Dad. Hogwarts isn't what I expected it would be. But, hey, enough of that, let's fly," instantly Lauren had mounted her broom and zipped off, testing it's acceleration for the first time.

After the memories of certain things that had happened at his old school, Matt knew he needed to go somewhere to just be alone for awhile since he wasn't sure if he could properly focus on a conversation right now. But where to go? Climbing the stairs that lead to the seventh floor, he clued in exactly where he could go. The Room of Requirement. He carried a few art supplies up from the dorm with him even though the room would have been properly supplied with what he had needed to paint, he stopped in front of the tapestry and concentrated as hard as he could on the fact that he needed a studio so the door would appear. A couple minutes later, the door finally appeared and he opened it; walking in.. Whoa.. dude, this is exactly what I wanted. The room had turned into a magnificent art studio with easels, paint, pastels and as many canvases that could have been needed to paint quite a large masterpiece. He started setting up his things and grabbed a paintbrush; dipping it into some light blue paint. So many things to paint.. not enough time..

Vashti had wandered out of the Ravenclaw common room and down the seventh floor corridor when she spotted a guy carrying what appeared to be art supplies and then standing in front of the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy. She paused, watching as a door appeared and the guy went in. That was the Room of Requirement, wasn't it? She'd been in there once last year but hadn't been since. So she couldn't help but wonder what sort of place he'd asked the room for... Would it be wrong to take a look? The door was still there. She could probably just peer inside, maybe say hi, then leave if he didn't want her there. Yeah, that sounded like a plan.

The Ravenclaw quickly walked over to the door that was already slightly ajar and pushed it open just enough to look into the room...and her eyes widened.

"Whoa..." Incredible, it was.

OMG I never thought i would find it.I entered and it was stunning.

As ideas started coming to him about the painting, he heard a voice coming from the door; who was going to attempt to interrupt him while he was trying to work? Matt set the paintbrush down for a second as he turned his head to see exactly who had spoken. Ah, that must have been one of the Ravenclaws or Gryffindors seeing as their common rooms were both up on this floor. "Come to appreciate the art studio?" He asked curiously before turning his head back to the canvas with a few lines of light blue paint on it, picking up the paintbrush once again; he continued where he had left off, adding more colour in as an image of the sky started to take shape ever so slowly. So much for not having to carry a conversation huh, you do know though that you don't have to focus on this piece while she's around since honestly that's rude.

Oh, there was the guy. She noticed him at first; her attention had been arrested by all the other stuff in the room until he spoke.

"I wasn't expecting to find an art studio," Vashti answered him honestly, glancing around at the studio once more before her eyes turned back to him - and found that he had his back to her now. She might've been a little offended, except she then saw that he was painting. She was rather curious to know what exactly he was painting, and she considered sticking around to find out, but it then occurred to her that he might not want an audience.

"So..." she began slowly. "I guess I'll be going then..."

Hmm, it seemed as though that she thought he wasn't going to pay attention to the fact that she was in the room as well; Matt realized exactly how that could have been mistaken but then set the paintbrush back down and walked away from the canvas. "You can stay if you'd like. I do not mind if you want to watch what I'm working on since most people are rather curious." Apparently the painting could wait until she had decided whether or not to stay here. Really though the only problem that he had had while people were observing him work was the chance that they wanted to add their own marks to it, it was more than frustrating to him whenever that had happened.

Vashti turned to go but was stopped when she heard him speak. So he didn't mind her staying? "Really?" she asked with a small smile. "Well... Alright." She certainly would like to stay. She couldn't paint, but she did like watching others paint, especially if they knew what they were doing as he seemed to. "So what are you painting?" She glanced over at the canvas with the pretty blue paint on it.

When she decided to stay after all, Matt gestured for her to come look at the painting in progress since somehow he thought that she would feel ignored again had he not offered for her to look at the canvas as he was continuing the painting. "I'm working on a sunset, I have sketches hanging up over there that are the black and white version of what I'm about to be painting if you'd like to take a look at them." He continued painting the sky onto the canvas with the paintbrush and realizing that he needed to blend in the orange and red into the sky before he could finish it anymore. Wait.. there has to be more colours don't there? Like the slight purple in the clouds and the slight orange of the sun.

*Walking by the spot where he knew the door would be and soon a large wooden door came up waiting. Matty for once was in a suit and tie with a rose. During the day he didn't get to see Marie but he would send clues of where to meet him. Leaving the last letter he wondered if she got it and would find him. But it wasn't that hard to figure out. The first place our feelings started. That was an easy enough clue right?*
"Any minute..."

Holding the last clue in her hand Marie quickly made her way to the seventh floor. She knew exactly where to go after reading the clue only once. The room of requirement was the place she would be meeting Matty tonight.

All day he had been leaving her little clues that only lead to another clue. She was starting to think that she was never going to see him today. But this last clue made her believe different. He wouldn't lead her to the room of requirement and then not be there... would he?

No, he wouldn't.

Rounding the corner it took her less than a second to see him standing there... in a suit? Looking down at her dress she felt like she was under dressed for the occasion.

Once she was next to him she gave him a quick kiss. "Happy anniversary handsome." Looking him up and down she admired just how handsome he was in his suit. "Your clues didn't say anything about dressing up." If they had then she would have worn something a little fancier than a plain sun dress.

*Seeing her Matty had to keep himself from running over to her. She looked beautiful and he let out a sigh at seeing her.* "Happy anniversary beautiful angel... You do not need a dress to look amazing. You are amazingly beautiful no matter what..."
*Holding the final rose out to her he also held an arm out for her an opened the door.*

haha sorry I had to let my competitive side come out one way or another :P
 

Orchid didn't buy it, but let it pass knowing that she obviously didn't want to talk about, and before she knew it she was on her butt from Lauren's abrupt (and rather speedy) take off. "Brilliant." She muttered to herself, smiling. She mounted her broom and easily and faster than Lauren! Ha! Take that! climbed to her height. "Wanna race?" She asked smirking, she did say she loved speed didn't she?

Haha!
 

Lauren scowled playfully when she realised Orchid was just behind her shoulder. She'd mounted quicker than she had anticipated.

"Against a Slytherin? I didn't know snakes could play fair," she teased, hoping that her tone would portray how totally not serious she was. "But if you want a race, I'll give you a race," Lauren declared with a grin.

Taking the rose from him Marie felt herself blush a little. "Thanks." Giving him another kiss on the cheek she looped her arm with his and followed him into the room of requirement.

*Inside was a warm and beautiful room with a great view of the castle grounds. A table for two with a small box sat on her plate. Leading her over to the table he pulled her chair out for her. Inside the box was a little music box of wood that Matty had made by hand by himself. When it opened it played the song that he wrote for her. The box itself had beautiful roses intertwined with a dragon.*
"I made this for you... if you don't like it we can go shopping for something else if you want..."

Orchid smirked which she seemed to be doing a lot of lately. Darn Slytherins were getting to her! at Lauren. "Who said anything about playing fair?" She asked as she winked teasingly and took off down to the other side of the pitch in a gust of wind. "So about that race..." She screamed over her shoulder, trailing off at the end, hoping Lauren had heard her.

Lauren sighed and rolled her eyes good naturedly. Luckily, she was not even the tiniest bit competitive, so she could enjoy the race for what it was. Flying. When she reached the other size of the pitch, frowning at her broom's acceleration, she pulled up and waved Orchid over.
"Okay, you win," she stuck her tongue out playfully, swinging her legs through the air, her calves swooshing.
She was comfortable and content here, on her broom and with Orchid. But she was in an exploring mood. "Where else have you been here in Hogwarts?" Lauren asked.

Orchid smiled victoriouslyat her friend. "No where really, I attended classes and the dance lesson, but outside of that I haven't been anywhere, well, I guess I went to the quidditch pitch once to sign up for tryouts, but that's it." She said frowning at her unadventurous school year so far. "Wanna fly outside and get a view of the grounds from a different angle?" She asked almost mischieviously.

"Whhaahahahaha!!!!"

Nessie eyes had been closed and when she opened them she saw Isobel the Hufflepuff quidditch Captain standing in front of her. This was so embarressing the Hufflepuff quiditch Captain had just seen her looking like a retard trying to look like a popstar. She was really embarressed and her cheeks had gone even redder then her hair. She let go of her guitar it was a strap that was around her shoulder. "Isobel..Um..." was all she got out of her mouth. "This is so embarresing" she whispered to herself.

Trying to calm down she looked as Isobel. "Thanks" At least Isobel didn't think she was bad that would have been a much worse experience. "My dad taught me" her cheeks were still bright red and they didn't seem to be getting normal anytime soon. She walked down the stage and took a seat on a comfy sofa. She didn't feel like playing if somone was watching her. She always messed up when somone watched her. "So um..how you been?" she asked trying to avoid anymore guitar talk.

Isobel grinned at Nessie, even though she felt a little bit guilty for startling her. "It's okay, you'd make a good rockstar." Or popstar, whatever. Was there a difference? Yeah, she thought there was, but not enough of a difference for her to really care.

"Can everyone play an instrument but me," she grumbled to herself, but then she smiled and looked back at Nessie. It didn't seem like she was going to play anymore, and she went to sit down so Isobel followed her and sat down next to her.

"I've been good, how about you? Did you go to the carnival in Diagon Alley?" It had been really fun. Isobel had met the weird Lola Jones-her rival Quidditch Captain. She had pet a Niffler, and met a Slytherin girl named Aurora. And of course, she had gotten her first kiss.

A sunset? Ohhh, how pretty! And he already had some sketches of it?

Vashti turned to see what he was talking about and- "Whoa." Yeah, this was becoming her new favorite word or something. But the sketches that she spotted were quite as incredible as the room. They weren't colorful, sure, but they were still incredibly lovely. She could pretty much imagine what the colors would look like, having seen plenty of sunsets herself. She could never have sketched something like that so well though.

"You're a really good artist," she said honestly, grinning.

Finally changing paint colours from the light blue that he was using to paint the sky to a reddish orange so that he could start adding in the sun in parts, Matt noticed the girl looking over his sketches and he grinned ever so slightly; the sketches did remind him of the beach since he usually sat down in the sand every night to watch the sun go down. "Ah thanks, I don't seem to think so though." He shrugged slightly from behind the easel as he continued to paint, that was the other problem that involved him.. he didn't think in the slightest that he was a good artist as much as people tried to convince him.

Walking into the room Marie was not expecting to see it look like it did. She thought it was going to be the room they always hung out in when they came here. Instead she found a very romantic, cozy looking room.

Sitting down when he pulled out her chair she put her rose on the table next to her plate. Once Matty was seated she opened the gift on her plate. Holding the music box in her hands she she admired the designs in it. When she opened it she immediately recognized the song that was playing. It was her song, the one he wrote for her.

Getting up she moved her chair so it was right next to Matty then sat back down. Placing a hand on his cheek she gave him a soft kiss. "I love it. We don't need to go shopping for anything. This is better than any gift you could buy for me." Sure, she could be a materialistic girl but sometimes it was better to receive gifts from the heart. Besides, not only was this from his heart, it was also something he himself made. "I'm going to put it by my bed so I can listen to it play every night before I go to sleep."

After placing the music box in the middle of the table she grabbed her purse and pulled out two envelopes and handed them to him. The first was a card and the second was a certificate. "Happy anniversary." She felt a little stupid just giving him a card and certificate when he had went through the trouble of making her a beautiful music box.

It was their first anniversary though and the first was the paper anniversary so that's what she was giving him... paper. Only this paper told him how much she loved him.

Lauren smiled warmly in response to Orchid's apparent happiness. But she was forced to frown at her suggestion. Normally she'd be so up for breaking rules like that, but since making friends with Kurumi, it felt wrong.

"Naww, I'd love to. But if we got caught and lost points, I don't know if I can handle the disappointment from Kurumi," Lauren admitted with a tremendous amount of embarrassment. This school thing sucks, she thought bitterly. "But, hey, I think we both have perfectly good legs. We can walk out? Any suggestions?" she offered.

*Opening up the card he smiled. It was perfect but the certificate made it even better. Leaning over he gave her a soft kiss and smiled even more.*
"I was going to do something like this as well. With the first being paper... I tried to write you a poem but do you know how hard it is to rhyme? Let alone make something that doesn't sound stupid. I thought a wood box might work..."
*Cupping her face in his hands he looked into her eyes and whispered.*
"I love you... always..."

Marie held her breath as Matty opened his envelopes. She really hoped he liked what was in them. Letting out her breath she kissed him back. "I was worried you'd think these were silly gifts." Well really they weren't gifts, but they were for him.

Opening up the music box so it could play she smiled at him. "This doesn't sound stupid at all." She didn't need words to know how he felt about her. Looking back into his eyes she whispered back. "I love you... forever."

*He didn't think it was silly at all. Far from it. How had he gotten so lucky? Listening to the music Matty slowly stood up and held a hand out to Marie. Bowing a little he looked at her with a warm smile.*
"May I have this dance?"

Taking his hand Marie stood up. "I would love to dance with you."

*With a warm smile Matty pulled her along with him to a clear spot in front of the fireplace. Then pulling her close he started to move them around slowly to the tinkling of the music box. He felt like he could stay like this with her in his arms forever. Not saying a word, or even needing to, Matty just held Marie as they danced together slowly.*

Wrapping her arms around him as he pulled her close Marie rested her head on his shoulder. Closing her eyes she listened to the music as she let him lead her around. Being in his arms like this was the best feeling in the world... and she didn't need any dance lessons given by the grounds keeper to make her feel like this either.

"Have you been taking those dance lessons?" *Matty asked after a while with a smirk. Oddly enough he tested out of the class and got double History of Magic instead of dance lessons. Getting forced to dance all his childhood finally paid off... not. Still it was fun to see Marie dancing.*

"No, I never went. Once I found out you weren't going to be there I decided not to go." He was the only one she wanted to dance with. If she went to that class it would probably be her luck to get stuck with some little kid... or worse yet... Carter. Although it would have been a perfect opportunity for her to stomp step on his feet and get away with it.

"You think so..well I actually prefer pop star" said Nessie still blushing. She wasn't too crazy over rock music it just wasn't her thing. Pop music was awsome and way more popular which was probably why it was called pop."But still..you seriously think I'm good enough?" Giggling a little at Isobel's comment Nessie looked up and smiled. "Well I could try teach you?" Wait..what Ness really didn't know what she was doing. She had no idea how to teach at all nevermind teach guitar. Looking down she sorta hoped Isobel wouldn't agree to lessons because if she did she would see how bad of a teacher Ness was. "Only if you'd like?"

Nodding Ness gave Isobel a smile. "Yeah I'm fantabulous" she giggled a little but she really was doing great especially compared to last year. Also she was looking forward to her birthday which was less then a month away. "Yeah I did..It was LEGEN..wait for it..DARY!" she said thinking of all the amazing memories she had made even though some of them weren't that amazing especially not all the ones with Tyler.

"Why would we lose points? There is flying aloud, they even have a practice pitch." Orchid asked curiously. "Sure, how about we go check out that Giant Squid?" She suggested not wanting to make her friend uncomfortable, if flying wasn't aloud or whatever then she wouldn't drag Lauren into anything.

Lexi was MOPING. It was clear. She had dropped her rucksack and books off in the common room on the way to the Come and Go Room. Stopping in front of it she thought for a moment and then closed her eyes tightly. Letting go of Orlando's arm she paced back and forth three times and then a door began to appear out of the wall.

Turning to him she smiled slightly. "My favorite place in the world... without all of the noise and the people to bother me," she said as she pushed the door open to reveal the Gryffindor Common Room in all of it's crimson and gold glory. Winking at him she turned and made her way inside.

Lexi chuckled slightly as she walked over to her favorite couch by the fireplace and plopped down. Only to stand back up and pull those stifling robes over her head to reveal her uniform beneath. "There's not much that I dislike more than those drab robes," she said as she discarded them in the floor and then plopped backward.

"The common room was the first place I felt like I was at home in. I have more fond memories there than anywhere else in this place. And not to mention; it's really cozy in here," she said with a shrug as she kicked her Converse off and threw her legs over the leg of the sofa. "You know I haven't been in here in a long time. Lexi smiled as she listened to Orlando and she let her mind drift to a clear sky with glistening little stars. She was thinking something like the ceiling in the Great Hall. "Oh look at that!" she exclaimed as she pointed to the ceiling. And sure enough there was reflected something identical-ish to the Great Hall's bewitched ceiling. "Sorry... it sounded so lovely."

"Well being like everyone else would be dead boring, wouldn't it?" she asked with a giggle. Yep. It WOULD be boring. She had tried to be NORMAL once and it was terrible. "The Gryffindor stained glass window is one of my favorite places as well."

Eeeeeh. "I haven't felt like going," she said with a shrug and a sigh. "I suppose... I have been avoiding certain people and things. I want to be at home instead of stuck here for a year," she grumbled. Her eyes drifted back to the ceiling, though, and she couldn't help but smile. "I suppose it's an adjustment period or sommat. |I didn't even want to be here, but I need to be so here I am... and so it's taking me a whlie to transition back into the routine of things," she said with another shrug. "I did go to Defense class though. That professor -- she is terrible, but interesting at the same time. If she tries to teach us Dark curses I might really like her more, though." Truth. Hehe.

Brushing her fringe from her face she smiled up at the stars and WISHED Salander was there, but she knew he couldn't just turn up there with her... if he would even be free to enjoy life anyway. SIGHS FOR LIFE. "I saw the most beautiful sunset on the planet while I was in Asia this holiday." GAAAH. She wanted to go find Stradivarius and just HUG him.

Vashti tore her eyes from the sketches when the boy spoke. "You don't?" she asked, sounding a little surprised. "Why not?" It was pretty obvious he was very talented, so why didn't he think so? Sketching something this well and so beautifully wasn't exactly something just anyone could do. At least she didn't think so. So surely he ought to realize how talented he was.

"I think I heard that we're only supposed to use the pitch for flying, but now I'm not so sure," Lauren frowned.

Ellie had held his hand and led Dallin down the corridor of the seventh floor until she got to the bare space of wall she was looking for. She had been planning Dallin's birthday present for weeks now, making sure every little detail was perfect. Although it was rather difficult to come by with a cake, considering the house elves wouldn't let anyone in the kitchen. BUT, after a few more times walking up and down the hallway, being very specific in her requests, Ellie got what she was looking for.

Turning to Dallin, Ellie beamed anxiously. "You ready for your surprise?" She asked in a little sing-song voice. And then she had an idea. "Oh!" Ellie pulled the scarf off of her neck. "I'm going to blind fold you." She informed him. Yeah. He didn't have a choice. Just like he didn't have a choice for this birthday present. He was getting it whether he liked it or not.

Moving behind him, Ellie tied her scart around his eyes. "Is that alright? Can you see?" She didn't want it to be too tight.

Dallin was trying to frown. He did not think that Ellie should give him a birthday present. He had told her that, too. And yet here she was, pulling him to the Room of Requirement. So he was trying to frown at her, but he just couldn't keep that look on his face. It really was sweet of her to do all this for him - whatever 'all this' was. So he was smiling, mostly.

His eyes widened when she told him she was going to blindfold him, then - yep. He squeezed his eyes shut then opened them only to find them covered by something soft. Immediately he held out one of his arms. "I can't see a thing," he answered, not turning around in case she had already moved away from him. He tipped his head up to see if he could cheat and look down... but no. He was completely blinded.

"Hold my hand, then," he said, smirking just a bit. You know, for safety precautions. Didn't want to run into a wall, now did we?

"That's okay, it makes sense, and we can always ask one of the prefects or someone later, right now we can just go for a walk if you want." Orchid said smiling.

Checking to see if Dallin's eyes were visible under the scarf, and nope, they weren't, Ellie grinned. This was going to be absolutely perfect. She hoped. Oh Merlin, she really hoped he liked her surprise. Ellie had spent so much time planning and practicing the- well... He'd find out soon enough.

Ellie smirked at his request. "Oh, if you insist." She said sarcastically. She was, after all: Ellie, Queen of Sarcasm. Hm.

After pacing in front of the wall several times, a door appeared in front of them and Ellie smiled. Leading Dallin by the hand, she opened the door and led him in. Grinning, she reached behind him when the door shut and took her scarf off of his eyes so he could see what had been created for him.

They were in a brightly lit room, filled with birthday decorations: streamers, balloons, confetti. The room wasn't too big, but it was just the right size for two happy people. There was a shiny, black grand piano in the far left corner of the room. Part two of her surprise. On the right side of the room stood a buffet table covered in cakes, cupcakes, sweets, treats and endless amounts of goodies. There was even a giant fireplace on the opposite wall to keep them nice and cozy warm.

Ellie bit her lip to keep from grinning to hard. "Do you like it?" She asked some-what nervously. "I guess I could have invited people. Maybe it would have been more exciting than just a party of two. I mean, we have enough food to feed an army..." Ellie mumbled nervously and rubbed the back of her neck. Did he like it..?

"Definitely. Being like everyone else would not suit, at all" he nodded. "Do me a favor and stay like this always, Lex" Orlando was being very sincere with his words. Changing her was stupid .. It only got her upset. And Orlando hated it when it affected her mood.

Her logics threw him off at times but he nodded nonetheless when she told him her reasons to not go to classes. "It is selfish of me .. but I am really glad you are here .. I hate myself for liking it when you obviously hate being here" he added quietly. "Seventh year would not be good .. if you weren't here, Lex .."

Already all his friends were gone .. And in their case, he couldn't do anything. But with Lexi .. he could .. so he had tried and he was still grateful that she was here.

When she mentioned the sunset, Orlando remembered his own plans to tour around a little when the term was over. "You didn't really tell me anything about the trip, you know. Moreover .. you didn't even bring anything for me, Lexi!"
