Gaby smiled - she had made a new friend! Well, possibly, anyway. Hopefully. 'Nice to meet you too, Erin,' she said happily, and then glanced down at her plate. 'I'm really hungry as well, actually,' she said, nodding in agreement, and then remembered that she had four chocolate frogs in her bag, from the food trolley earlier. 'D'you want one?' she asked, digging them out and setting them on the table. She took one for herself and left the other three there.

Her friends? Yay! More people! Gaby smiled round at the other two girls, waving again. She would have to stop that.... it probably looked weird. Oh wells - she was weird, so it didn't really matter. 'Hey, y'all,' she said, grinning.

Right. Erin had just said that this girl's name was... Valeria, right? Awesome. 'Hey, Valeria,' Gaby said with a smile. 'I'm Gaby, Gaby Parker. Looks like we're housemates!' she said happily. Yup, housemates. She wasn't really sure if that was an actual word. Well, if wasn't, she had just made a new word. She was that awesome. Anyways... housemates. That probably meant that they'd be sharing a dorm, she she had better make a good impression on these girls, otherwise they could make her live pretty awful. Not that they would do that - they all seemed nice. So far.

Right. If the other girl was Valeria, this was Jayden. Gaby smiled again, making an effort not to wave. She just looked like a moron when she waved to people who were less than ten inches away from her. It wasn't normal. 'It's amazing, isn't it?' she agreed, looking back up at the ceiling. It was just so awesome! She wasn't going to be able to stop staring at it all evening. Her neck was going to hurt the next morning.


Listening in - accidentally, of course, she wasn't quite that nosy - to Jayden's conversation with another boy, Gaby glanced down at the plates. 'Oh goodness. That's disgusting,' she said with a grimace. 'They expect us to eat off of that? I thought there were House Elves,' she said weakly. She wasn't usually snobby, not in the least, but that was really gross. They could catch something, eating from those plates! She would have to do something... rummaging in her pocket for her wand, she eventually came up with it and pointed towards the silverware. 'Scourgify,' she murmured... and nothing happened. 'Scourgify!' she tried again, and this time a few of the plates became visibly brighter. Well, it was something. Plus it was her first time using that spell. Or any spell

'I'm Gaby, by the way. Gaby Parker,' she said pleasantly, extending a hand towards the boy and being careful not to touch anything on the table. How gross. 'Are you a First Year?' she asked curiously. She hoped he was, because then she'd have another potential friend in her year, which would be aweosme.

"Yes, very amazing." Jayden said dreamily, still in awe of it all.

"I am, yes. Did my little hissy fit give it away?" he smiled, feeling somewhat bad that he'd given her a poor first impression of himself. "I've been looking forward to this day for as long as I can remember..." Cael smiled wistfully, thinking of how lucky he was to have grown up in the magical world, even if under harsh circumstances.

"Do you have any siblings, Jayden? I myself am the sole heir, but I would have loved a little brother or sister I think."

Selena looked around, coming back to Hogwarts was amazing and she was wondering if perhaps Maddie had come back last term and Emma had failed to mention that to her. However, she couldn't find her bestie from Ravenclaw... and it might have to do with the fact that she was only 4 feet, 5 inches tall, but that didn't mean a thing. The fifth year saw some dude sitting by himself and supposed she could just ask that guy.

"HEEEEYYY, you, dude, uhhh... do you know a Maddie Trinity-Force?" Sel asked, Kent still on her head.

Because Pygmy Puffs were cool.

"Yes, I have two siblings." She replied with a hint of pride in her voice. "I have an older brother, and an older sister. My brother works as an Auror for the ministry, and my sister works at St. Mungo's as a healer.... And as far as hissy fits go, you haven't seen anything yet. " Jayden said with a wink.

"Ahh Thanks Harvey" At that moment Minerva knew she made a great friend on the train. Her mind was still going from the question Katie just asked her about Harvey before he tapped her. Then Minerva wondered if he heard them talking about him. So quickly she decided to say, "So do you know more people then Erin at your table?" Do you know when the food is suppose to come I'm starving."

Damon looked up hearing a girl's voice and he could tell she was Slytherin, "Hi I don't know a Maddie to be honest i was alone alot last year in the school." He eyed her pygmy puff with a smile "Very nice" he said acknowledging it. "Care to join me by chance" Damon patted a space next to him.

"It seems that way doesn't it?" Valeria giggled. Oh, she was glad she had made another new friend.

"Oh I'm hungry.." She whined, resting her chin on her palm. "I wonder what kind of food they'll be serving..."

After leaving his trunk and cat in the boys dormitory, Eino quickly changed into his Ravenclaw uniform and followed the rest of the students to the Great Hall for the feast. He made his way to the Ravenclaw table and took the closest seat to the front for the best possible view. Not that there was anything particularly spectacular to watch, but the sorting ceremony and welcome speech were always very exciting. Plus, that's where the house elves put all the best food, and he was very hungry. He sat down and watched the other students as he patiently waited for the ceremony to begin.

Selena sighed. "Oh, okay, maybe she didn't come back to Hogwarts then," Selena said. Because Maddie socialized a lot... so almost everyone knew her. Whatever then, she'd just go look for Emma later. Yup. Selena tried to look at what he was acknowledging before realizing she couldn't look at the top of her head. "Thank you! His name is Kent and he's squishable, but he doesn't like to be squished," Selena said giggling before looking at the seat. What the heck, right? Selena was all for inter-house unity blah, blah stuff. So yeah. "Sure!" she chirped sitting down.

She placed Kent on the dirty plate in front of her and smiled at him. "I'm Selena Zabini-Riddle, I am awesome and I'm going to rule the universe," she said, introducing herself. Because everything she said was true. And he couldn't do anything about it.

As she made her way toward the other girls, she felt relieved that Harvey is also on her house. Then it came to her, he was with no one. Minerva just went to the Hufflepuff Table and seemed to be enjoying herself with new friends from her house. She felt so insensitive to tell Harvey that they should just meet at the Ravenclaw common room when he's inviting her to sit with him. It seems like he's not the person to approach someone and make friends with them.

She thought deeply but she had already with these girls, she couldn't be going now. What a nice day, she thought to herself feeling quite guilty.

Erin couldn't really read her thoughts. Gaby looks quite mysterious to her. For a moment, Erin thought she's worried then she opened her bag sharing some of her Chocolate Frogs and there- "Oh! You're an angel! Thank you. I hope the sorting ends soon and we'll be able to eat. Who are serving actually? Do you happen to know?"

"No just Erin and Annabeth" said Harvey wondering where she was, at the same time wondering why Minerva had jumped when he tapped her shoulder "Me too, I wish they would serve the food quickly and clean up this silverware" Harvey says looking at all the silverware.

"Im Damon Cunderthorne" said Damon and he realized she was trying to show herself as being very important which didn't bother him at all.. "Rule the Universe huh? I wish i could do that" and Damon laughed a bit. "Are you a cousin by chance of the other Riddle?" Damon asked and his stomach was now growling like crazy.

Blushing a little because she noticed the glance Harvey gave towards Katie still hoping he didn't hear their conversation, but why not she thought it wasn't that big of a deal. Katie was just thinking she interrupted well she never did finish her sentence. "Yes the silverware is dirty for being the first time students are here this term. I thought it would be a lot cleaner. Wonder when the headmaster will talk?" She looked up at the staff table all those staff members. Minerva wondered who her teachers would be.

For once, Vashti wasn't one of the first to arrive at the Ravenclaw table, and it was kind of a nice change. She didn't really like sitting at a big empty table all by herself. Though usually she didn't have to wait long for more Ravenclaws to show up, but still. Not arriving early was totally fine with her.

She didn't recognize most of the students that were already there though. Ah well. Hopefully one of her friends would show up or she'd find someone who looked lonely and needed someone to talk to. Either/or.

But upon taking a seat, Vashti noticed the state of the silverware. Merlin, what happened? She didn't think she'd ever seen the silverware look like this. Usually everything was so neat and clean. Was there something wrong with the house-elves? She really hoped not.

She frowned, her mind wandering, trying to come up with a solution.

When Erin seated herself toward her friend's table, she looked at Harvey's direction once again then saw Minerva there. Well, after all he's not along. When he looked at her, she waved then mouthed the words, "I'm sorry."

"Nice to meet you Gaby," Cael laughed as he watched her perform the same spell he'd just tried, "I'm Caelius Ashdown and I see you've discovered the same problem I have," he quipped dryly, motioning to the table in front of them.

"I am a First Year, yes. May I enquire as to which year you belong?" Cael smiled sweetly, flashing Gaby his trademarked grin.

"Yeah, maybe they didn't have time to wash them" Harvey said "Yes when is he going to speak?" Harvey says looking at the staff table, and then he looks over to Minerva she was looking at the staff table too, but he did not know whether it was the lighting or something else, but he thought he could see a slight blush on her cheeks. But then he shook himself, she can't be blushing what reason could there be for her to blush.

"That's a long name," she observed, as Kent moved away from the dirty plate. Selena set the purple ball of fluff back onto it. Selena nodded and smiled. "Yeah, I shall also be ruling time, space and parallel universes as well, I'm going to do it with my best friend," she said excitedly. Ruling the world was a very important job and only she and her bestie were capable of this enormous responsibility... even if they might run it to the ground Now she was confused. "What other Riddle?" Selena asked, confused. People were weird. But she did hear his stomach growl.

"I think you ate a lion," she said, sincerely. It was growling for a reason.

"It should be good. I overheard some of the higher year students talking about food and they said it's great. I just wished it comes out soon. We've waited too long," she said as she imitated Valeria's look resting her chin on her palm. "Look at them," pointing at the Slytherins, "Do you think we'll get along with them?"

As Elliot approached the Ravenclaw table she tried her hardest not to show her pure displeasure on her cold face. Her eyebrows arched, her eyes wondered around the table. She was not happy. What would her father say? He would be quite disappointed, that's for sure. She slumped down into a chair, and sighed dramatically. Blue wasn't even a her favorite color. The Hat had decided that her brain was more dominate than her...ambitiousness? Perhaps. Elliot still thought she belonged in Slytherin. She glanced over at the green table with a longing hunger in her eyes. Gah. Daddy wouldn't pleased, nuh uh. Elliot didn't see if any familiar faces were at the 'Claw table, and whether Cora, Abbie, or Gaby were in her house. If she was even more unlucky she'd be stuck in this house all alone...Elliot simply stared at her plate, still in shock...

Victoria sat at the table quietly as she glanced around for her friend, Vashti, while she was never about this year. She had OWLs now, and she was told how hard it was from the other students.

Time flys when you're having fun.

The phrase rebounded around in her head a bit as Ivory made her way from the carriages into the Great Hall. It was curious really. Every other year it always seemed as if time inched along, one millisecond at a time. Today,the train ride had passed by in what seemed like minutes. Suffice to say the same could be said about the carriage ride. Seconds of her life. Seconds. Just ZIP, flying by.

Did that mean she was having fun? More fun than usual? Casting her eyelashes down for a second in thought, she inadvertantly snuck a peek at the guy walking beside her and then almost immediately upon catching herself snapped her gaze back to the Hall before her. Did she say fun? She meant odd excruciating moments in which she laughed and talked but actually struggled with her mental processes.

Fixing her badge a bit on her lapel, the Ravenclaw prefect straightened her shoulders a bit in determination her soft footsteps still leading her in the same direction they were all going....to their respective tables.

One solidifying breath later, Ivory was back to her normal self. Smiling, friendly and waving to those she knew. Her eyes shone darkly with excitement, like water before a storm and unable to keep the smile off her face she decided why bother. She didn't entirely feel like questioning her motives for smiling. Besides smiling took less muscles than frowning.

"Impressive," Cael nodded, raising his empty glass in a salute to her. "Auror work is dangerous business; takes a dedicated man to pursue that career. Healer work is no picnic, either. No wonder you ended up in Ravenclaw if intelligence like that runs in your family," Cael smiled back.

"Oh?" Cael grinned with a single raised brow, "And I suppose you're going to show me differently, hmm?" he chuckled; this Jayden really was too much fun...

"I did not eat a Lion" Damon laughed "I have not eaten anything nutritional since i got on the train this morning" Damon added "I think you may know the former Dark Lord... Only wondered if your last name had anything to do with him." Damon was smiling at her. "My Last Name is part Scottish and Icelandic."
