Huh...Evelyn was calling for Carter to grab pies...

...meaning Marilyn needed to finish this thing up.

She said her goodbyes to Carter, keeping her eyes trained on his backside as he walked away. It was sad that he had to go...but the blonde didn't mind watching him leave.

*stare*

Huh?

Pie...right...

Grabbing the prepared pie shell and mixture, she set about combining the two. This was an easier part...pouring one thing into another. She was careful to get ALL of the mixture into the glass dish, not spilling any. Once that was taken care of, she grabbed the second roll of dough...

Oh...wait...

Almost forgetting, she ridged the sides of the crust...simply using her finger as a spacer. It wasn't as time-consuming as she had originally thought...but perhaps that was due to her wanting to be finished with this. Now, onto the top part...

Not wanting to be like everyone else...the blonde rolled the dough (after scourgifying the surface several times) onto the table top. To get the dough to cooperate, a few pinches of flour was added...which she immediately smeared around a bit.

The Slytherin was oddly reminded of finger-painting...Hmm.

It took her a few minutes to carefully cut the strips exactly like she wanted them...but if this was going to represent her in some way, it had to be the best she could make it.

Once the strips were cut and completed, Marilyn began carefully lacing them around the top of the pie. In, out, on top, across...and then with the tucking of the sides...It was tedious...but the end result was totally worth it.

Finishing her work of art with some brushed melted butter, Marilyn carried it over to Evelyn. "I'm finished." *smirk*

Arya, who had already been staring, stared back.

If Magnus wasn't there, she's probably... we'll there wasn't much she could do, but still. She wasn't gonna let Evelyn have the seat all that easily. "He'd have a better handle if you were over there helping him." She waved a hand in the boy's direction. "Go. I'll keep the Headmaster's seat warm while your gone." And long after that too.

STARE.

Hmmm...she was getting the thought that maybe Arya wanted her to leave...

Well now, here Evelyn was, just wanting the seat to herself. Now that Arya specifically wanted it, there was no way she was giving it up. But darn, there was no way she could skip other things since she was the Head Girl and all. "He won't need help handling anything since he has everything handled in the first place." So THERE.

She was not moving from this seat. And when she did, she was taking it with her!

Carter arrived back in the Great Hall a bit later holding a half-eaten Kurumi!pie and being followed by an army of floating pies.

"Fresh out of the oven." he said happily. He passed by the staff table and entered the small room off the Great Hall.

No doubt the smell of fresh apple pies wafted behind him...

She DID want the head she-snake to leave.

Arya. Wanted. That. Seat.

When else was she gonna get the chance to sit in Tatsrtot's awesome chair? Never, that's when. "You would never know that since all you've been doing is sitting in this chair." The prefect had all day to sit here and stare down Evelyn til she got the niiice chair. Sure she had other things to do, but they could wait right?

Well.... Arya did have all day until Carter walked by with all those pies and she was reminded of the other object that'd been holding her eye. Kurumi's pie! It had to be the half-eaten one.

The half that just had to be for her.

Standing up from Vindictus' chair, she looked down at Evelyn. "I'm gonna get the rest of my pie, and when I come back, I'm getting my chair." MMHMM.

The Puff prefect climbed over the table and ran after Carter, fully intending on returning for what was rightfully hers.

India looked down at her recipe and decided that yes. She was so going to be in this competition because - hey who wouldn't like an apple pie that had almond paste in it and just served to make you want to take another bite, after bite after bite.

Her ingredients set for the pie she decided to start on the from-scratch pie crust. It was going to be flaky golden goodness. Whisking the flower, sugar and salt together she began to make the dough's powder base.
