Having just gotten done with his first Herbology lesson Justin made his way back to the common room and looked around to see if his friend Rose was there. He'd missed her at breakfast ; having overslept this morning and forgeting to say goodnight.

Alyssa woke up and realized that she had fallen asleep on the couch. She checked to see whether she had drooled on herself. She checked the time and noticed that it was eight o'clock. "Oh Merlin, I must have been tired. I guess I'd better get up to bed before I fall asleep again. Thank goodness tomorrow is Saturday. I love classes but right now I could use a break." She dragged herself up the stairs to the girl's dorm.

Phoenix grinned at Daisy 'Phoenix Talisman, 2nd Year.' she replied, taking the seat next to Daisy, scooping up the cards handed to her and helping herself to a dorito.
'Sorry that sounded so formal, I tend to keep to myself.' Phoenix said with a nevous laugh after a minute 'Hi, I'm Phoenix.' she amended with another nervous chuckle.

The girl introduced herself, and, as Daisy thought, she was a second year, but she tended to keep to herself. Daisy couldn't really get why people liked that, she loved having friends, but then all people were different.
'Phoenix. That's an awesome name,' Daisy said, 'actual Phoenixs are so beautiful. Daisies are just boring little flowers,' she laughed.
'I'm guessing that doesn't make you muggleborn, having a name like that,' she added.
It was nice, thought Daisy, to meet more people. She got on with all her friends, but liked meeting people, and Phoenix seemed nice so far...

Phoenix blushed as Daisy complemented her name 'It is a nice name, a bit of a mouthful though and I'm a half-blood, the Wizarding side comes from my dad, not that I see him very often these days...' Phoenix trailed off, her eyes travelling off into the distance as she remembered the events of the previous year, then her eyes snapped back to Daisy and she smiled again 'But Daisy is a nice name too, it has a pretty ring to it.'
She looked down then, Phoenix didn't tend to mix after everything that had happened and she didn't want to scare Daisy off with her strangeness.
'So is there any Wizarding blood in your family?' she asked.

"His name is Arnold." Yeah she was totally original when it came to names, wasn't she? It was just easier for her to remember.

"I've already checked my dorm and now that I think about it, the last place I had him was in the great hall." Oh that would be right. He was probably down there eating all the scraps of food that had fallen on the floor. He was such a little pig at times. As if she didn't feed him enough.

The girl definitely looked tired. "Maybe you should get an early night." Mia was going to ask her if she wanted to help her look for Arnold in the great hall but decided Kita might prefer sleep instead. "Oh yeah, I'm okay. I miss my boyfriend but I'll have to get over it." He was the one who had made her come back to school after all. "Is it just me or does it feel slightly weird knowing this is our last year." Oh she couldn't wait to leave but still...it felt weird.

Arnold... That was the name of the Puffskein. It was a popular name wasn't it? Arnold. Maybe a man hunt would be better. Imagine if there was an old man somewhere called Arnold? Accio Arnold would just bring him here right? And that is definitely not happening! "That's a nice name for a pet," she said. Way better than Alaska.

The Great Hall? That was the last place she had seen Arnold? Among the dirty dishes? "Shall we check there?" she asked, standing up, "He could be hopping around trying to find where his Mia went off to." ... Do Puffskein's hop?

Early night? "But... but... what about your Puffskein?" she asked, looking at Mia who was more or less the same height as her. And she was in heels! Merlin, the girl was tall! She shook her head and turned her attention back to Mia. Oh. Boyfriend issues. Silly boys causing unnecessary trouble. Hmph. "You'll get to see him soon. There's... Hogsmeade weekends and... and... the holidays!" she said, despite the fact that it didn't seem like Mia needed cheering up. Meh. Whatever. Weirdness? "Now that you mention it, it does!" she said, looking around at the common room, "It's the last year for everything, i guess. Last year roaming this castle, last year of eating in the Great Hall, last year of Hogwarts in general. It's sad." Apart from the 'last year of classes' bit... that wasn't sad at all.

"I started reading the books as soon as I got them because I was so excited. I'm sure you'll do great too!" Rosalie enthusiastically told her new friend.

"I am so frightened that I will say something wrong! DADA seems pretty cool so far, but we haven't done anything! Herbology is really fun so far though! I pulled two fangs out of a Biting Toadstool!!!" Faven said gleefully. "I was scared at first but it was really cool! I have been reading pretty much all my books, I just want to learn all that I can!!!! Oh heavens, I'm not trying out! I've never ridden a broom before!"

"Way of knowing what?" She looked up at him, wondering just what he was planning on asking. A small shrug left her shoulders. "Everything. I gave him a chance to tell me everything, 'cause I wanted to hear it from him." She finally let her eyes turn to her kneazle, fingering the tips of his ears when he sat upright in her lap. "The only thing I don't know is if he got his results back... what they say. Told him we couldn't keep being us until I at least knew that." She was speaking to the thing she'd whispered to him moments ago. Her voice lowered, the anxiety of those said results showing itself in her eyes.

Huh? What? Oh, well, Treyen was merely wondering if there was a way of knowing...wait....he wasn't saying this out loud, was he? Before he could actually speak, Arya was already explain things, so he just sat there, listening.

Ah. Of course. That had been his number reason for telling Ellie everything. Because she may think better of him if she heard things from Treyen himself. Not that it ended up mattering in any way. But still.

"I see," he said, as he leaned back against his seat. And then eyed Arya again, THAT was what he'd been wondering, "That's what I wanted to ask, if there was a way of knowing via a test or something...but...you still don't know if he got the results or not...," he wasn't asking, he was merely clarifying things for his own sake.

A sigh left him, and his eyes landed on Perseus for a moment, "Why don't you write to him? Ask him about the results?" if he'd taken a test or something similar.

Daisy swallowed as Phoenix answered her question. She looked embarassed, upset even. It was people like these she just wanted to give a massive hug to. Daisy just couldn't stand people being sad. So Phoenix's dad hadn't seen her for ages. Her eyes filled with sympathy as she looked her friend in the eye. There was something a bit different about Phoenix, not bad, just different, but Daisy couldn't quite put her finger on it.

The compliment about her own name broke her train of thought. Maybe Daisy did have a nice ring to it.
'Thanks,' she smiled, 'I guess you're right. I still prefer Phoenix though. Everyone's called Daisy. Well at least it feels like it,' she smiled.
'And i'm pure-blood,' she added casually. Blood status did not concern her at all, but it was nice knowing all about magic through childhood, and defintley helped her ambition along the way

Phoenix nodded when Daisy said she was a pure-blood and smiled at her comment about everyone being called Daisy.
'Maybe, but sometimes its nice having a name that other people have, some people think being named after a magical creature is weird.' she said, her mouth twisting into what could only be described as a cross between a grimace and a grin.
'Anyway, what's with the ketchup, doritos and chocolate if you don't mind me asking? A bit of a strange combination for a snack.' Phoenix looked at the bottle of ketchup, packet of doritos and chocolate bar at Daisy's feet and couldn't help but laugh at the rather funny combination of food.

Aaron yawned, deciding he needed action. He looked around, but everyone he saw was already in a conversation or distracted by something else. Everyone, but Aaron. And he was bored, very bored. He needed to get rid of his energy and got up.

He carefully stretched out, making a few dramatic stretches that made him look like a giant. He then took out his wand and made a sad attempt at conjuring up a skipping rope, this stuff was hard and he wished he'd paid better attention during class.

'No skipping rope then.' Aaron told himself and instead managed to somehow stand on his hands without tumbling over. 'Awesome!' He muttered, already feeling himself leaning over dangerously.

Taking a comfy seat at a sofa Nessie started reading her book that she ahd got from the library. When she had read about three pages she noticed a older student walking into the common room.

Was this guy mental? Laughing crazily Nessie watched an older student that seemed pretty peroccupied in the common room. He first started stretching like and then he tried to do some magic. She couldn't stop laughing especially when he did a handstand that was the funniest part. The older boy looked as though he may have been a fith or sixth year, but here he was acting like a one year old was he mad?

Walking over to him she bent her head so she could speak to him face to face. "What in Merlins Beard are you doing?" she asked still laughing.

'I was bored,' Aaron mentioned, feeling himself leaning over even further.
He could feel the blood running to his head and shook his head, trying to get rid of that nasty feeling.
'So I thought it'd be entertaining to do this. But it just feels uncomfortable.' He made a sad face just as he felt himself loose all balance and tumbled over, slamming his head into the floor.

That floor didn't feel nearly as soft as it looked. Aaron groaned as he got up, rubbing his head.
'I managed to stay up super long, though.' Aaron gave himself the thumbs up.

Minerva came in to the common room and found a place near the fire. This was one of her favorite places to sit. She hadn't talked to many Hufflepuff's lately and looked around to see if anyone was up to chat.

Justin was exhausted when he entered the common room. He had been in classes all day and was just looking to relax and maybe chat a bit. As he looked up he saw another first year , but couldn't remember if he knew her.
" Hello, I'm Justin. Pleased to meet you. " he said as he extended out his hand .

Minerva laughed. "No you don't smell. I think everyone is just busy with their classes or they have kind of stuck with the people they met on the train or they have known all their lives. I haven't really made to many connections with our house. Most of the people I spend time with have been in other houses. Plus I have lived with Muggles all my life so I didn't know anyone from the wizarding world before either. How about you are you muggle born?"
