Adam gave a little nod of the head as she spoke about her instrument playing. "Very cool," Adam said with a little smile. "My friend Aurora also plays the violin...do you know her?" Perhaps they had an equivalent to a muggle band at the school that the students could play in. "Do they offer any musical courses here?" Adam asked, figuring that Cove would know better than he did...

Cove shook her head. "No I don't know her. I only know Heather who plays the violin." She said. She thought for a moment....music courses? "No, I don't think they do. But atleast they let us express our hidden talents around here." Cove nodded her head. She took another bite of her sandwich.

Nessie sighed thinking about how much she missed her parents. Now that she mentioned it she was homesick. But then she remembered all the fun she was having here "Yeah, I'm sort of homesick."

Pixxi was exhausted from all the impressions she had gotten in the last few days, so it would be really good to sit down and relax a bit. She noticed the shy girl she had spoken to in the common room and grinned as she went over to her and sat down next to her.

"Hi! It's Nessie, right? How are you?" Pixxi asked while helping herself with lunch and pumpkin juice from the table. She noticed how sad the girl looked, so Pixxi stopped with her greedy need to take spoonfuls of marmelade and cereal and suddenly looked at her with a serious look, "Are you ok? You seem a bit... Down."

Adam gave a little nod of the head...he had no idea who Heather was, but it was cool to know that there were at least three people at the school that played the violin. Perhaps if they ever had a dance or anything the three of them could be the musical entertainment...although, they usually hired wizarding bands for those kinds of things, didn't they? "Well that's cool that you know at least one other person that plays too. I've never really been musically inclined myself, but I do love the sound of the violin."

Adam took another bite of his sandwich. "So, how are you enjoying your year at Hogwarts so far?"

Still in her Quidditch robes, Kurumi made her way to the table for a much needed dinner. She was a bit beat up from her final snitch grab of the try out...and a nervous wreck that Cookie Hater Head Girl was going to pop out from the bushes or tapestry and hex her nose of or something...but all she wanted right now was a nice tall glass of pumpkin juice.

Slowly, she sat down at the table and felt a sharp jolt of pain shoot through her back. Merlin, maybe she had hit the stands harder than she had originally thought? She needed someone's shoulder to use to help herself down...and a rather large ice pack.

Ryan walked into the Great Hall ans at down next to Gryffindor's head girl.He said Hello and asked what had happened as he grabbed a sandwich and a glass of Pumpkin Juice

Ali made his way over to Kurumi after the try outs, he was very hungry. "Hey Kurumi, Great job today. Totally beat me" he said while laughing, grabbing a piece of toast, to start off small. He noticed some pain in her eyes. "Kurumi....are... erm... are you okay?" he eyed her hoping that she was.

Nessie smiled sadly. She took an apple from the bowl in front of her and started rolling it in her hands, perplexed at the way it moved. She sighed and looked at Pixxi.

"Yeah I'm ok. I'm just missing home. This place is just so different. It's kind of hard to get used to." She smiled again and finally took a bite out of the apple she had been playing with. Suddenly her mind wandered to a green man throwing apples at doctors. She giggled slightly under her breath.

Kurumi, still rubbing her back, looked over her shoulder when she heard her name being spoken softly. "AV, hey," she chirped as she tried to scoot a bit out of the way for him to sit if he wanted. If he did sit...she was totally going to use his shoulder to help herself sit down. "You were brilliant too you know."

She rubbed her back some more and felt something pop. That was a good thing, right? "I-I'm alright. Just been a while since I have played. My body just isn't used to it I don't think."

Ali blushed a bit when she said he was brilliant too. "Geez, girls can't take compliments ahahahah" he said while laughing at her "But thanks, yeah im a bit rusty to." he noticed she wasn't sitting yet.... "Maybe she does need some help" he thought.

"You just going to stand there, i know the table needs a good cleaning but nothing a bit of.." he flashed his robes "brushing off won't fix" he said while rubbing a bunch of dust off the bench. He first took his seat waiting for her to join him. Still eating that piece of toast.

Kurumi shook her head. Especially this girl is what she wanted to say, but she settled for a smile instead. Kurumi leaned a bit to the sit and eyed his shoulder and then at the bench that he had just cleaned off. "I think that the table is just fine," she laughed, tossing some of her black hair over her shoulder. "I just...I really hurt my back flying into the stands and I can't really sit down without assistance..."

Awkward. Really awkward.

"D-Do you mind if I use your shoulder?"

He laughed when she said the tables were fine ."Yeah that was a really bad spill" he said while looking at her closely. "Yeah, I don't mind at all" he said while winking at her "I'll be your personal crutch" he thought along that "Maybe I should take her to the Nurse?". While waiting for her to use his shoulder he grabbed a drink.

"Thank you," she blushed as she leaned most of her weight onto her left side. She slowly slid her right leg over the bench, but winced a bit as a sharp pain shot up her back. "I-I-I'm okay," she said, just in case he had noticed.

Ever so slowly, she sat down beside him. There, that wasn't so difficult.

"First really Quidditch injury and it's during tryouts," she giggled nervously. "Hate to see what happens on game day."

"Not a problem" he said as he finally started to sit down, he anticipated her weight and tensed up to help her sit.

When he heard her say she was okay Ali did start to worry more. "I've had a few good spills myself, one time i was out for a week" he said while wincing, just rembering that time was awful. "If we both make the team I'll make sure I watch out for you because I know how those slytherins can be. i haven't seen them play yet, but some of their attitudes a bit.... erm rude." he said while laughing.

"Would you like some juice?" he said while holding the jug of pumpkin juice.

Pixxi took a sip from her pumpkin juice while listening to Nessie's worries. She smiled sympathetically towards her and patted her hand, "Aw, it's gonna be fine! I used to be homesick aswell, but now I found myself a hobby. Look," she pulled out a dozen bracelets with shimmering beads, all in different colors. She put a dark blue on her right arm, and it immediately changed color to every shade of blue possible. "My brother Percy did a spell on them so they change shade. Cool, huh?" She pulled out a purple bracelet and handed it to Nessie. "Here you go, take this. Hopefully it will make you feel better." she said while nudging her shoulder slightly, beaming towards the sad girl.

Kurumi gasped. "What sort of injury caused you to be in the hospital for an entire week?" Then again, maybe she really didn't want to know. It might make whatever confidence she had regained about flying diminish. "The one thing about hospitals I always hated was how terrible the food was," she mused, a little too nonchalantly as her tone implied that she had spent a fair amount of time in hospitals - which she had.

Kurumi was blushing a rosy pink at his next comment. "Thanks," she chirped. "I'll try to look out for you too." However, her smile faded when he mentioned Slytherins. "Yeah...after History of Magic I think I am going to need all the protection from Slytherins that I can get." Especially from Cookie Hater.

Her smile returned when he offered her the jug of pumpkin juice and she grabbed a nearby goblet. "You've read my mind, AV."

Lilly sat straight down and grabbed some pumkin juice and a random sandwich, not bothering to see what was inside. Comforting Rose made her really hungry! The sandwich was delicious! Lilly reached for another.

"They're beautiful." Nessie stared at it perplexed as she watched it change color before her eyes. Nessie stared in wonder at the purple bracelet in her hand. The colors shimmering and changing.

"Purple's my favorite color . . ." She trailed off before looking up at Pixxi. Suddenly she pulled Pixxi into a hug. "Thank you." She whispered over Pixxi's shoulder.

Ryan found a spot next a girl that looked about his age.He introduced himself as Ryan and in his first year.

"No worries," Pixxi smiled while patting her back as Nessie hugged her. "Purple goes well with your eyes." As they let go, Pixxi dug into her cereal. "So how's everything going? I mean, except from being homesick which you really shouldn't worry too much about. Hogwarts is a great place to get a new family," Pixxi hoped she hadn't insinuated that Nessie should forget her real family and only think of her as the new one.

"I don't really remember what kind of injury it was, it happend so fast, all I remember is waking up in my bed at home and my uncle laughing at me." the fruits of being home schooled. "Hospitals I really hate, growing up in the muggle world totally is different then the wizard world. The thing I hate the most is the needles ugh" he said while shivering.

"Don't Worry Kurumi I'll watch out for you, i won't let them get you!" he said while pouring juice in her cup. "so I heard you make cookies?" he asked for everyone was always talking about them and he never personally had the pleasure of trying them.

"I don't mind the needles, it's the doctors with the poor bedside manner that always got to me," she laughed. "And also getting tested for the flu. They use this really long cotton Q-tip and stick it up your nose. It makes me cry every time." Not to mention really messes with one sinuses. "So...does that mean you didn't know you were a wizard?" Someone else in the same boat as her perhaps?

Kurumi blushed a slightly deeper shade of pink. "T-T-Thank you." Her heart was pounding in her chest a bit too much, but at least her hair wasn't showing any reactions yet. "I do," she nodded, but with a slight frown. "It's been hard baking this term though...what with the kitchens being close." She pouted just for a moment. "You might have had one at the opening feast. The Gryffindor cookies floating around the table were ones I baked."

"yeah thats not fun either" he said while nodding his head in agreement. She asked him if he knew he was a wizard. "Erm... yeah I did know, its kind of embarassing" he said and sighed he started the story "Well my dads a muggle and he makes an expensive purfume named after our last name, Vanderbelt" he said while waiting for her reaction "And we had to move around alot and my mums a witch and so my brother and I both started having magical properties when we were younger and she was always at home so she decided to home school us"

he stopped to take a bite of toast "but this year was different since he's opening a new shop in london, my mum thought she would help him out for its been really crazy and that was my time to beg my mum to let me come to Hogwarts and she agree'd, too bad for my brother for his schooling was already over but I got to come and I'm really liking it." he said while blushing. "Great now shes going to think im a nerd for being home schooled, great job Ali" he thought while playing with some grapes.

Kurumi listened as AV explained his personal history a bit, not entirely seeing where he thought it was embarrassing, but everyone always thought that their family was a source of embarrassment. "That must have been nice, being home schooled by your mother in magic. I am jealous," she replied with a faint smile. "My father is pure-blood, mother is non-magical...but my brothers and I didn't know we were wizards and witches until we got our letters from Hogwarts." And even then there was no talk of the subject in the home, but he probably would think that was silly if she explained that.

Kurumi had no real reaction to him mentioning his father's perfume company. Kurumi had never been exposed to such things and was probably one of the few fourth year girls who had yet to experiment with make up. None of it really interested her to be honest.

"Are...your father's perfumes for the wizarding world?"
