Ella sat down at the table that was to become her family for the next 7 years. Ella looked around at all these people hoping that she will soon meet some fellow first years. "Hey, I'm Ella. First year. Isn't this place just amazing?" She said to no one inparticular. |
Quote:
Elsie was so excited she didn't know where to look. She noticed the friends she had made earlier happily making new friends in the houses they were sorted into. Looking up the table she looked at all the older students and how happy they looked to be back, it made her feel incredibly optimistic about Hogwarts. |

'My summer was okay, pretty uneventful. I went to Wales for a week with my mum and then I had some friends over at our house. You?' Ariadne wondered if things had changed in Kurumi's country, remembering the problems the older girl confessed she had back there when they had talked the previous year. |

Anyone?(: Fee was highly disgusted by the dirty plates at all the house tables and hoped to find at least one free plate that wasnt dirty. What was wrong with the houseleves?Should she be worried?!After all this didnt seem like the best start of term... Approaching the table the girl hoped to find some of her friends here at least. After all she wouldnt be eating any od the delicious stuff on those plates. It was really a shame.Spotting a free seat the Slytherin sat down and looked around for some familiar or friendly faces. |
Quote:
"That means a lot to hear you say that, Skye," Kurumi blushed, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. "How did your sorting go? Did the Sorting Hat know right away?" Quote:
SPOILER!!: Adam....*throws a hex Kurumi's eyes were watering again. "What game are you playing at?" she snapped, taking even more steps back. "You know what, I don't even want to know." She slightly threw her hands up in the air. To be honest, she wasn't surprised that Adam was saying that he wouldn't recognize her in ten years. Clearly, he didn't care about her nearly as much as he had led on. Just like Treyen. Kurumi was fed up with this treatment and if the circumstances were different, Kurumi would hex his tongue off so that he could never speak such rubbish again. "I am tired of fighting for you...for us..." she held up her hand to reveal that the cherry blossom ring was gone. She looked down at her prefect badge and then back at him, her blood boiling. "Seeker as well, if you must know." And she now realized how foolish she was thinking that she was playing to feel closer to him. Why would she want to be close to someone like this. And to think that HE was her first and only kiss. Kurumi suddenly felt like she had just thrown up several buckets worth of slugs. "You're right, Adam. People move on and grow. I don't know where I will be in ten years, but you know what I hope? I hope that in ten years you have become a better man, a more mature man, a wiser man, a more humble man and a more spirited man, because the person standing before me is nothing but a selfish troll." She walked forward a bit and stopped when she was only inches away from his face. "Now, if you will excuse me, I have prefecting duties to take care of." And with that, she had walked past him, wiping away the tears as she went. Quote:
Hopefully it hadn't caused a scene like Walnut had. Quote:
"Relaxing summers are always appreciated, especially after an eventful school term." No pirates this term, please. Quote:
HOLY MERLIN'S UNDERPANTS! WHAT WAS FEE WEARING! Kurumi practically sprinted over to the girl, arms flailing and couldn't even bring herself to greet first. "FEE! You are supposed to be in your school robes not...not..." Dressed like she was going clubbing? Kurumi had never been herself, but she DID know that the opening feast commanded more respectful attire. More traditional. "You need to go change before a professor spots you and takes points from Syltherin." Could you imagine what Professor Lafay would say if she saw one of her snakes dressed like this? Kurumi didn't even want to think about the detention that would come from it. |
Quote:
"Bruiser's great!" Lauren exclaimed with excitement, "I normally carry him with me, in my robes, y'know, but he was a bit stressed out with all the people around..." He and I both Lauren thought. "How's Walnut? Still causing trouble?" she asked with a grin, remembering the charming little cat. "And hey, what's on your chest? That badge?" |
Pottielot? Gryffindor? Tom was pleased. Not because he had been sorted into the cool, brave house, but because it meant he had won a bet with his older brother. Freddie was CONVINCED Thomas would be a Slytherin.. but he was wrong, and now he owned the lad a nice cool twenty quid. The hat was removed from his head and he stood, and with his shoulders hunched, and his hands in his pockets, he swaggered (yes swaggered, which was slightly amusing given the lad's height and age: he looked just like a mini Freddie) his way over to the house with the red banners and lions, eyes narrowing on his as housemates his gaze swept across the table to look at them all. There woz blaady loads of 'em! Would he fit in at all? ...Did he care? Of course the lad cared. He was the same as all the other kids here: just wanting to be accepted and some friends. A task which may be easier said than done... Tom wasn't the most gracious of people. He didn't really LOOK like anyone else here. His head was shaved and he had a slightly deprived look about him. His robes were tattier than the other kids who looked rosy cheeked and well groomed and fed. And to top it off, he was a late bloomer. Thirteen years of age and he'd only just got his invite to Hogwarts. Acceptance would be harder for him than for most of the first years who were all in the same boat. He took a seat towards the top end of the table nearest the door to the Great Hall. He gave the person next to him a small, awkward smile before his eyes went to the food. Blaady 'ell! They could just eat as much as they wanted!? He quickly reached out for a plate, more interested now in the food than the other kids. Wot to 'av first? |
SPOILER!!: Katiepoo See now THIS was where Dylan had belonged and where Gwenyth wanted to be right now. They seemed a lot friendlier bunch, more welcoming but that might have only been because Gwen was swayed by the stories she had heard. Give the Slytherins a chance and she might actually grow to love them. Maybe.. She wandered past the Gryffindors, not intent on stopping, just wanting to be closer to a house where her brother had been. But she'd of felt a little odd if she just sat down there, she knew no one and they'd probably give her funny looks for being there. She didn't 'belong' afterall. The hat had placed her elsewhere. But her eyes fell upon a familiar face, or rather it was the hair that had caught her initially. Not many people had that haircut and from their very brief meeting in Diagon Alley. She planned on just leaving, walking straight over to her table and perhaps he wouldn't notice. He seemed more content looking around at the other students anyway. However, there was definitely something about him that made her want to stay. Maybe it wasn't him, maybe it was simply because she longed to be in Gryffindor but she just couldn't leave. Instead she cleared her throat, quietly and a little pathetically. Like she was an ant coughing for attention. "H-hi" she stuttered as she stood behind him awkwardly. Nope. She wouldn't sit down. |
Quote:
And speaking of the stubby legged feline. "He tried to pee on someone in the prefect compartment," Kurumi sighed, hanging her head slightly. She knew a certain Gryffindor that deserved the fate almost as much as the Hufflepuff boy did. "He is in the common room round, reacquainting himself with his realm." King of the Gryffindors after all. |
Quote:
“Ello.” He greeted. Did he even know her name? If he did, he'd forgotten it. “I saw you get sor'ed. Slytherin ain' it?” So she was what Thomas should have been according to his brother. He looked her up and down and then shrugged. He wasn't sure what a Slytherin was supposed to look like anyway. “You jus' gonna stand there?” He asked her in his thick cockney accent. “...Cos you can sit, y'know? I don't know no one 'ere neevah.” He shuffled along to make room for the girl. |

Jackie walked over to the Gryffindor House Table. It was huge. The kids there looked friendly too, but all seemed busy. She quietly sat at an empty table and looked at the Sorting Ceremony, since she didn't have anything else to do. |

O____________________O Maybe she could just run now. He'd only said hello and she could make some excuse because.. The boy was incredibly intimidating for a girl who was so used to the sheltered and friendliness of the Commune where she knew everyone and they all knew her. He. Well he was the complete opposite of the kids there. Plus he had a thick accent and so did she and it would get very confusing after a while. But she stayed. She stood and smiled weakly back at him, gulping and then moving forward to sit in the spot he had just left her. "Umm.. Thank you" she glanced quickly at him and then across the table. Oh goodness he knew she was a Slytherin? "Y-yeah.." she looked down at the floor, rather like she was ashamed. Was she? Or was she just not expecting it. "I don't think I belong there though" the thirteen year old frowned. "Y-you're a Gryffindor?" she asked rather obviously. No he was just sat here for no apparent reason. "I wish I was here" she pouted a little. |

Anyone? Sarah smiled widely as she made her way through the crowd to the Gryffindor table. Here! Finally back to Hogwarts. She walked past the long row and settled in the midst of some students. She looked around, hoping to get a glimpse of Will, Nika, Rose or anyone she knew. Hopefully. |

She was pondering whether or not to sit and Tom frowned. Did he smell? Did he have some cockroach cluster on his face? ...He had NO idea they had real cockroaches in them when he scoffed them on the train earlier. He was almost sick when someone informed him later. He smiled when she eventually sat. Was she ashamed of being a Slytherin. “It can't be tha' bad.” He said. “Me bruvvah woz a Slytherin.” So., yeah.. it must have been a pretty good house, because Freddie was cool. “I dun' fink tha' talkin' 'at would've putchah there if it fought you wozn't gonnah fit in there.” Because the hat was maaagic.. and clearly knew better than Gwen did. He nodded his head. “Yeah.” He smiled broadly. “Fought I would be a snake meself, bu'..” He merely shrugged. "You're 'ere naow ainchah?" “Ere, you not avin' anyfin' to eat?” He asked the girl, picking up a cupcake and waving it under her nose. |
Gideon had finally made it to the feast, having wound up in one of the later carriages making its way up to the castle. Guess it was punishment for not moving fast enough as he exited the middle cars. Oh well he was here now and the feast had thankfully not officially begun. The fourth year made his way to the Gryffindor table, his gaze briefly landing on the front of the room where the stool and sorting hat rested. He paused in his movements to watch a sorting before taking a seat at one end of the table. Looking around he didn't readily spot any of his newfound acquaintances so Gideon simply settled in to wait for the headmaster's speech. |
Nathan had just been sorted and really could not easilly find his freinds amongst the bunch of so many Gryffindors. He was not sure if he should introduce himself to people or wait and see if they noticed him. He was not sure who the people were on his side of the table so he decided to give a general hi to all, "Hi all, it is my 1st year here and I would love to get to know each and every one of you.". He tried, now all that was keft to do is wait to see if anyone would respond. In the mean time the cookies looked good. He began to pile some on his plate when he noticed cobwebs had made a home there. Ewe Eh, it's not that bad and with that Nathan began to eat cookies with the Gryffindor logo etched into them. A delicious treat to start his years at Hogwarts |

Nodding to a few more first years, Kurumi spotted Gideon and a smile reappeared on her face. FINALLY a boy who clearly had some sense in his skull. "Gideon!" she chirped. "You made it." |

Hayley had just been sorted into Gryffindor, and as she walked to the table, she smiled at the amount of people there, there seemed to be a real age span, everyone looked so lovely! Wanting to make some friends, she went and sat next to some younger looking people about her age and said "Hello!" shyly. |
Quote:
Gwen shuffled awkwardly in her seat glancing around worriedly at the other students. She was scared that they'd shout at her or something because she was at the 'wrong' table. That she didn't belong there and that she should go back to her own table. And she didn't want the attention drawn to her, she'd rather just sit there anonymously and have no one notice her. Worst way to make friends, something she had a talent of back in the commune but that was because everyone was equal. She wasn't used to this house business. "You have something on your face" she whispered but couldn't help but giggle, only to realise what she was doing and stopped. O___________O "They're supposed to be mean" she pouted glancing at him. "I'm not mean, I'm the compete opposite" For goodness sake, she was a hippy. "Was he?" she asked as he told her about his brother. "Is he nice?" Because that might make a difference. At least then she'd know that the rumours weren't exactly true. "It might have got it wrong though. Everyone makes mistakes, maybe it did too" she told him, staring at the hat and then over to the Slytherin table where she had sat only moments ago. "And what does it know about me?" Did it read her mind because that would be scaaary. "It didn't take in what I wanted to be in. My brothers said it would" she shook her head. "I mean I want to be in this house" she looked down at the table again, hanging her head. It took her a while to realise she wasn't stuttering. She was nervous though. "But I don't think I'm brave enough" Because there were a lot of things that scared her. Then suddenly he was wafting a cake under her nose and she pulled away from it. "No thank you" she stated looking at it. Did the house elves make that? Poor things. "I'm not really hungry" And those plates were very dirty. Who knew what was put into the food. |

"Ummm, who washed these?" he pushed his spoon and fork away from himself and switched them with a cleaner pair from a empty seat across from him. There that was better. Now he just needed to meet some new Gryffindor friends. Out of the few he had met over in Diagon Alley, none of them were in the house he was just sorted into. |

SPOILER!!: Gideon Selina was munching on another cookie when she saw another figure in red start to walk along the Gryffindor table. When he finally sat down Selina pulled herself out of her chair and walked over to Gideon. Once she arrived she plopped herself down and stuck out an extra cookie that she had taken for later, "Cookie?" SPOILER!!: dramallama Selina was beat red with anger. Of all of the things in the world Adam Burn had to show up and ruin what was seemingly starting out to be a good year. Besides the one small hitch on the Platform, which had been amended during the opening feast a few moments ago, Selina was feeling good about the upcoming year. She was a third year, she had her friends, a new outlook on life and, finally, a way to at least start to control her visions. BUT now Adam Burn had snaked his way back into their life and was already proving himself to be a major prat. Did he hear Kurumi's cries in the broom cupboard? Did he see the color of her hair when she missed him? Did he see how badly she had been affected when she tried to find a new person to mend her heart? Did he see the utter wreckage and turmoil he left on his way out? No, he had been too busy fighting with Selina as he stormed out of Hogwarts to even take notice to the shattered second year who was now a strong and confident fourth year Prefect. Kurumi had done so much without him. She had made the team, she had grown a backbone, she had been nominated Prefect and had slowly started to build her life again without him. Now that he was here again Selina felt a growing fear that she would just crumble. However, after Selina punched him she felt Kurumi attempt to pull her away from Adam. She soothed the third year Gryffindor by reminding her about the Quidditch try outs. Kurumi was right, she needed to stay out of trouble for the try outs. There were priorities in life for Selina Skylar and it always went Quidditch, friends, food, "Yeah you're right. I just need to calm down and resist the urge to sever his head from his body." Too harsh? Then she watched in shock as Adam bantered back and forth about growing up and waiting for one another. Finally Selina was not surprised when Kurumi shot her prefect position and Quidditch position in his face and stormed off. Selina then rose her hand to him as if to say don't, "You know, if I didn't have Quidditch try outs coming up I would seriously pummel you. You have NO idea what you did to that girl over there. And you know what else, you did something to me too. You told me that I was your sister. You told me that you would write. You told me all of these things. And you lied about all of them. I'm not your sister. Don't ever call me that, because I have a brother now and a sister to boot. And Christopher and Elyon treat me the way I deserve to be treated. You were always a prat, Adam Burn. But you wanna know why I dealt with it? Because I was eleven and stupid. I wanted to so desperately be liked by everyone and now I don't care. I'm happy in my own skin and I won't be made to be a fool by you anymore." |

Adrianna slipped into a seat and looked up and down the long table. The table seemed full of students, and all of them looked excited to be back or to be here at all. Adri was the latter, and she hoped that this place would be as wonderful as everyone had said. She briefly wondered where her mom was, but then pushed the thought out of her mind. She would send a letter... Something caught her eye and she looked up. Her eyes widened as she saw the hundreds of candles floating there, with a night sky painting the ceiling. But it WASN'T a painting. She smiled. This was one fantastic place. |

SPOILER!!: quotes "Yeah, ditto," Paulie smiled at the prefect. He wasn't really sure if people said 'ditto' anymore, but he hoped Kurumi knew what it meant. "Anyway, I'm sure I'll be seeing you around soon." And with that, he sort of closed the conversation. Prefect Kurumi had a ton of people talking to her and so forth, so he let her focus on them; certainly there would be plenty of opportunities to chat with her later on this term. "Dude, same! I had no clue, and I really never thought of 'brave' or 'noble' being two salient characteristics of mine.." Paulie scratched his head and began to wonder. Maybe he'd gotten Gryffindor because Tori had recently deemed him a lemonade knight..? He honestly did consider this theory because he had no idea how that magic hat worked. He turned to Adam again. "Hmm, I think I would have predicted Gryffindor for you, though." Yes indeed, a frog was quite an interesting thing to find in your living room. "Yep. I almost brought him here, as a pet, but then I figured that I would forget to feed a thing like that and he'd probably end up dying." Thus, it was back into the forest for toady. Adam went on to tell him that he had gotten a puppy, and Paulie perked up some more. "A puppy? That's so cool - what kind? I hadn't realized that Hogwarts allowed dogs here." A faint smirk crept onto his face as the other Gryffindor made sure to mention that the canine did not smell. Just wait 'till it was pouring outside, and good old Spot needed to go to the loo - then Adam's comment on that might be a tad different. "Definitely - you can probably introduce me tonight," 'Cause Paulie figured the common room would be buzzing with people anyway, what with no homework yet. "Well, I'm glad to hear that they haven't picked up and moved just yet. But you'll have to let me know come Christmas break." And if Adam was telling the truth about all that gypsy-traveling, which Paulie of course figured he was, then the boy's parents may very well have moved again by winter break. |
