Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Carriwitchet!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby. | |

Suddenly realizing how tired she was, Emma dragged herself up the marble staircase and eventually through the portrait hole. Once she opened looked around the common room however, all her tiredness disappeared. All around her people were talking, laughing and playing games. She felt right at home.
Spotting an empty armchair over by the fire, Emma sat down and enjoyed watching everyone enjoy themselfs. Not sure weather she would be allowed to butt into someone else's conversation.

Chris trudged into the common room, looking for someone he knew, since he only knew one person, he searched for Emma. Luckily he spotted her sitting by the fire, and went over to sit in the armchair next to her, "Hi, remember me? If you don't, that's okay. I probably interrupted something importent so I'll just go..." Chris hoped that she would tell him to stay, but he doubted she would want him there...

She had been thinking about her first Defence against the Dark Arts lesson. She had somehow managed to lose Gryffindor some house points. She didn't realise she would have gotten in so much trouble for telling Willow she could borrow one of her Quills. Elsie decided she would not stop at nothing until she regained the points she lost. Willow noticed Elsie looked kind of worried. "She better not be stressing over DADA!" she thought to herself. "5 points if nothing to lose, at least it wasn't 30 like that other guy in class earlier!" It wasn't that she didn't care about losing the points, it was just that she thought the teacher was so unfair! Quote:

"Yeah, I am enjoying it so far! Though I lost 5 points in DADA for asking Elsie for a quill. So unfair! Oh well, I'll just have to win them back somehow. What about you, how is your second year going?" Willow said, as she tossed her long, blonde hair over her shoulder. | |
