After Hugo had been quite excited that they seemed to have destroyed Divination he had wandered off happily, only to find this place. He had been staring at it for a while and his Ravenclaw curiousness started boiling up inside him. He quietly pushed open the door, but it made a hard creaking noise. It was dark. Hugo took out his wand and whispered "Lumos." The tip of his wand lit up and he could see the classroom better now. It was empty. And dusty. How interesting. Perhaps this place could be secret and he could use it to practise his magic in.

Kurumi had been walking around the castle, mostly just to keep her mind off things - Adam coming back and being an even bigger prat than she remembered and her precious kitchen being off limits to students. She had completely forgotten about the stress she felt regarding her prefecting. It seemed so small in comparison to everything else.

Walking along the ground floor, Kurumi noticed a light glowing from the empty classroom. What...was going on?

Noticing the door was slightly ajar, Kurumi tried to peek in and see what was going on, only to find that it was too dark to see anything besides the floating light. Had a firefly flown in and got itself stuck in the classroom? She would just have to help the poor little thing.

She opened the door further and stepped inside.

"Come here little firefly..." she whispered, cupping her hands together as she ventured forward into the darkness.

What was that? A high pitched girl's voice, whispering. Was this place haunted? Hugo nervously started to wave his wand around as to find the source, exposing every dusty corner of the room to the light. Nothing. Scurry stuff. He did it again, he went round the room with his wand untill the light got reflected by something... Floating in the air. Or... Something. Hugo waved his wand around randomly to find the source of the reflection. There it was. It was like... A purple thing. He walked towards it, keeping his wand locked on the purple thing. Now he was really close to it. It looked like a badge in the weak light of his wand. He poked it with his wand. It was a prefect badge. OH CRAP HE GOT BUSTED BY A PREFECT AND THEN HE HAD POKED THEIR CHEST. OMGOMGOMG MAYBE HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE HERE. What if he could do non-verbals all of the sudden? He could put out the light and get out of there! He was lucky the light he had produced was so weak. He could remain anonymous. Come oooonnn. Noxnoxnoxnoxnox. Nox. Noxynoxy nox. WHY COULDN'T HE DO NON-VERBALS. NOX NOX NOX. He shook his wand. NOXXXXXX. Nothing. He looked up at his wand. He had pointed it at the prefect's face now. He was gonna be in so much trouble! He followed the light from his wand and there it was. A visible face. It was... Kurumi's face?

"Lumos Maxima," he whispered and the ball of light from his wand became bigger and bigger and started to float around. "Kurumi?" he asked surprised. "W-why are you wearing a prefect's badge?" he asked, awkwardly, pointing at the badge with his wand.

Kurumi smiled as the dragonfly seemed to be eager to oblige to her request for it to come closer to her. This would certainly make things easier for her to let the little guy out. Kurumi couldn't remember if there were windows in this classroom or not and it was far too dark for her to be able to tell.

Fumbling around, Kurumi patted her robes searching for her wand holster. While this was going on, the light was getting closer and closer until. "OUCH!" This firefly wasn't very friendly. What was it flying into her. Maybe it didn't like shiny things? Or, maybe it was attracted to shiny things. This was good to know if she ever went firefly hunting. For moths, you brought light. Apparently, for fireflies it was metal.

However, now the firefly was behaving less and less like a firefly. Kurumi hurridly removed her wand and pointed it in the direction of the light when...wait...fireflies couldn't talk, could they?

"H-H-Hugo?" Kurumi stammered, jaw gaping at her Ravenclaw friend. She lowered her wand. "W-What are you doing in here?" Pretending to be a firefly?

Kurumi twirled as the light moved from his wand to floating around the classroom. Oh, there was a window. She would have to keep its location in mind for future reference.

She looked back at him and was only slightly alarmed to see that he was pointing his wand at her. Oh, right, she hadn't taken the badge off just yet. "Um...well...that's because...I am one..."

She was a prefect badge? Oh, she was a prefect! At fourth year? Was that even possible? "You're a prefect? Congratulations!" Hugo said and smiled awkwardly. But that meant she could deduct points and throw him in detention. But it also meant he had a prefect as a friend. Muahaahahahahahah.

"Weh-- I was just you know like exploring stuff if that is not prohibited," Hugo rambled nervously. Maybe Kurumi didn't want Ravenclaw to win the cup and deduct house points for being here. Wait, that was proposterous. Ravenclaw never wins the house cup. "So what were you doing here?" Hugo asked, putting his wand back in his holster. "Did you see that sign on the kitchen portrait? I walked past it last nigh- er, on my way back to the common room from the feast, heheh," he said awkardly to the new prefect.

Kurumi flushed and kicked at the air. "T-Thank you," she said with an awkward bow. "Your female prefect was appointed her forth year as well, so its not as if they made an exception for me." She still felt very subconscious about the whole situation, but so far she had done a decent job. The first years were all smiles after all.

"Right, well, since you were performing the Lumos spell after seven thirty, I am afraid that will be 10 points from Ravenclaw," she said crossing her arms and trying her best to not burst into a fit of giggles. She bit down on her lower lip.

Yeah, it didn't last for long.

Taking a few moments to regain her composure, Kurumi looked up at Hugo. "S-S-Sorry, I just couldn't resist." Why was she here? Hugo probably had an inkling as to why. "I was, you know, just taking a walk to try and keep my mind off other things." Her frown grew a bit more. "I did...I rushed there the moment the feast was over hoping to catch either the elf that had appeared at the Gryffindor table or Twinkle...but...I couldn't get into the kitchens. I am really worried, Hugo..."

"W-what," Hugo said. "Is that even a rule?" He blinked. But Kurumi seemed to find it funny. Oh, it was only a joke. He looked at her giggle like someone who didn't get the joke the other just told.

Other things. Like, Adam, and stuff? "Well the sign was obviously written by an elf," Hugo told Kurumi. "I wonder what's up with them." What could have happened? "I guess we can't bake cookies this year," he said and sat down against the wall, twirling his wand around with his fingers. "And what happened to the Divination Classroom?" he asked, not really expecting to hear an answer. And then, the light, which had been glowing weaker went out. But he liked it in the dark. Gave him more room in his head to think. "It's nice and quiet around here," he said, still twirling his wand around in his hand. He thought about Adam, but it was best not to talk to her about him, Hugo thought.

"I am kidding Hugo," Kurumi said between giggles and gasps for breath. "It's not like you broke anything, and there is nothing wrong with appeasing ones curiosity. That's what leads to knowledge, right?"

Kurumi was actually grateful that Hugo avoided the dragon in the room and instead focused on the house elf situation. She didn't want to think about Adam anymore, especially not after the words they had shared at the Gryffindor table. Prat. "I am actually trying to work around not having the kitchens, so we might be able to bake yet," she said with a mischievous smile. "I will be sure to let you know if things work out." Still, her frown was still there. "The house elves were so panicked, so ashamed...I am really worried about them. What if they are being overworked and understaffed? Why...its cruelty!"

Kurumi thought for a moment about the classroom they were in now. It was spacious, but obvious that it hadn't been used in centuries perhaps. "Whoever our new professor is, they either don't like or can't climb stairs," Kurumi said, tapping her finger on her bottom lip. "They weren't at the feast either, and I don't think they are a Ministry member or else there would have been a sign." Kurumi thought some more.

Not Ministry.
No stairs.
Not at the opening feast.
Could it be....

"Hugo...what if our new Divination professor is a centaur?" she asked with a twinkle in her eyes. "It all fits!"

"Yeah... Knowledge," Hugo said still looking a bit shocked because Kurumi was about to take some house points from him... That'd be the very first time! How awful.

"Oooooh," he said and wiggled his eyebrows. "So what are you up to?" Considering it was from Kurumi her idea must've been brilliant. She was like a Ravenclaw... But she was too good for Ravenclaw so she was put in Gryffindor. "What was with the house elfs? Were they at the feast?" he asked. Because he hadn't seen any house elfs, really.

Hugo stood up and walked around the dark room. Was she saying this room was going to be used for Divination? A centaur! Hugo quickly turned around at Kurumi, or else where he thought she was. "Kurumi, that's brilliant! Of course!" he exclaimed. "Wow, I've never seen one up close before," he told Kurumi. He loved studying magical creatures, even though it was just a hobby and not an ambition. Centaurs were so... Interesting. He would definitely come to Divination for this. He hated Divination though. He didn't understand any of it.

A clattering noise echoed on the stone floors of Hogwarts Castle. At first, the sound was faint but it grew louder as whatever was making the sound approached the empty classroom located on the castle's ground floor. The door to the room was wide open and the clattering noise was now echoing in the room.

The being had the lower body of a chestnut horse and the upper torso of a human with black hair. He stopped when he saw that the room was occupied with two humans. But he was informed by the Headmaster that he was to refer to the younger ones as 'students' or 'pupils' and the older ones as 'colleagues.'

"I did not realize this room was occupied by students," stated Thereos and his hooves clacked loudly on the stone flooring as he adjusted his stance.

"Hugo, I'm not taking any points from you," she said, eyeing the stiffness in his frame. "I was joking." Should she playfully punch his arm? People did that when they were teasing, right? She decided to refrain for the time being. No need to make the situation any more awkward than it already was.

"I-I am only speculating...the old Divination room is inaccessible. Locked shut and no ladder...," Kurumi said waving her arms around a bit frantically. For all she knew there was just some overbearing professor who refused to climb stairs or was afraid of heights. Still, there was no denying that she was bubbling on the inside at the prospect of perhaps having a centaur as a professor. She had read that they were well-versed in magical healing, Divination, archery, and Astronomy and she suddenly got even more excited. Astronomy had been very VERY dry over the course of her studies at Hogwarts, but perhaps if her inkling was correct, the new professor could shine some light at it were. Perhaps do a lesson on Astrology. Kurumi found that rather fascinating although very illogical. "Neither have I, but I doubt they would like us gawking at them." This was a school, not a zoo after all.
Kurumi was about to suggest to Hugo that perhaps they should head to the Great Hall for some dinner when she her footsteps. No, wait, they didn't sound like footsteps at all. Her head snapped back around to gawk at Hugo.

The clattering ceased, and she ever so sloooooooooooowly swiveled her head around once more where she laid eyes on a very scruffy looking man. It didn't stop there though, her eyes lowered to where human legs should have been, only to see that there were none...but the chestnut ones of a strong stallion. She tried not to allow her jaw to drop and she had to bite her tongue from saying something stupid like Do you know you're a centaur!?

"S-S-Sorry, Sir," Kurumi said with a deep bow. "The door was open and..." Her and Hugo had a knack for exploring and poking their nose where it didn't belong sometimes? At least there was no man-eating plants around this time, right. "Are you...the new Divination professor?"

"There is no need to apologize for human curiosity," replied Thereos and his hooves clacked loudly on the stone floor as he cantered slowly to the center of the room. "Yes, that is the terminology used by the man you call Headmaster Tate. I am called Thereos."

He bowed his head at the young woman and the young man she was with.

Well, that was good to know that in this case curiosity had not killed the cat or lion and eagle as the case was. Kurumi wasn't sure where to look exactly as the centaur cantered across the room. Staring at his hooves was rude, right? It was like staring at someone because they had a big nose. Then again, Kurumi had been stared at her entire life because she had some Western features that the rest of her classmates didn't.

He was so formal. Or was that even the right word? He was just acting like a centaur did, right? Kurumi had only ever read about them in books, so she felt short of breath right now seeing one in person. "Lovely to meet you, sir," Kurumi said with another awkward bow. "Would you rather I call you...Thereos or Professor Thereos?" Because, well, Shaw had been VERY vocal about not being called professor. It was best to check.

"My name is Kurumi Hollingberry, fourth year Gryffindor and female prefect," she said with a slight smile tickling the edges of her lips. "This is Hugo, also a fourth year but in Ravenclaw."

Kurumi looked around the dusty old room with all its cobwebs and whatnot. "Um...is there anything we can help you with? Cleaning up this room perhaps?"

While Alexia was wandering around the castle she saw a door and just randomly opens it. She saw three people inside, well two actually coz one was a centaur. she stared at them for a second and said "My gosh! sorry for disturbing. but since I'm already here, may I ask what room is this supposed to be?" she asked politely. even though they were staring strangely at her, she didn't mind.

Sound.
Hugo turned around. MERLIN'S BEARD IT WAS A CENTAUR!! It was so pretty. He stood there staring at the centaur for a moment then shook his head and remembered that would probably REALLY impolite.

So it was true, they had a centaur as Divination professor. Awesome. Hugo stood there a bit nervous next to Kurumi and said "H-hi sir," he said and smiled. "Thereos- Professor Thereos. Nice to meet you," he said. Help? Yes, help! They could help him!

A person. In the room. Another persoon. Hugo looked at the girl for a moment. "Hai," he said, awkwardly. "This is um... The Divination classroom?" he answered that was more or less another question directed at professor Thereos. What was this exactly? Was this going to be used for Divination? Because it was really dark. And dusty.

"Oh, ok", she said. She looked around for less than a minute, no one talked until Alexia broke the silence, "well I think I should go now, thanks by the way" she exclaimed as she went off.

Alyssa had heard that Professor Thereos might be available in the empty classroom to help students if they had problems in the Divination class. "I definitely had a problem. I didn't have enough patience to wait for the Professor to get to me when I stayed behind at the lake. I hope that he won't get mad and refuse to help me now, because I AM really curious about what I saw at the lake after I changed my mind and I came back."Alyssa said to herself.

She had brought a shallow bowl, 10 medium sized stones and had filled a bottle with water, just in case the Professor was going to simulate the same scene as they had done at the lake. Now all she had to hope was that the Professor show up.

Alyssa figured that she'd might as well start first and maybe when the Professor showed up, he could confirm her readings. She took out her shallow bowl, filled it with water and placed it on the floor. She stacked the stones around it. She then sat on the floor, and crossed her legs in front of her. She gazed down into the pool of water. She saw her reflection looking back at her. She looked up at the ceiling above her. "One thing is for sure, I won't have to worry about anything else reflecting from the ceiling or any wind causing ripples on the water," Alyssa thought to herself.

Recalling what the Professor had said, she sat back, closed her eyes and cleared her mind. Once she was ready, she opened her eyes and leaned forward to gaze into the pool of reflection. She remembered to lean forward at about forty-five degrees as the Professor had advised.

She waited patiently knowing that things like this take time. As she looked, she saw a slight movement coming from the right corner of the reflection. She peered closer and saw a bird. " A bird? What are birds doing flying at night? Wait a minute, how can I see birds? I'm in the castle??" Alyssa thought to herself.

Knowing that something strange was happening, she decided to keep on looking down at the reflection in the bowl, knowing that if she looked up at the ceiling, she would not see anything except the ceiling. As she continued looking, more birds appeared flying in a V formation. She followed their reflection in the water as they moved from the right to the left portion of the pool. "This is really strange. How can I see all these birds reflecting back in the water, when there aren't any birds flying in this room,"she thought to herself.

Suddenly, she saw something equally strange. She saw another lone bird fly from the right reflected in the water. It seemed like it was trying to catch up with the other birds. "Poor bird must be so tired that he's gotten left behind. I hope that the others will slow down or he'll get lost," Alyssa thought to herself as she saw the bird's reflection slowly fly by, and off to the left.

Then she realized that she couldn't have seen this bird either. She looked up at the ceiling and saw what she saw before. A grey empty ceiling. She shook her head and decided that she must be hallucinating. Why, she didn't know but that could be the only reason for her seeing the birds.

She decided to pack up. As she leaned over to start picking up the stones, she looked at her reflection in the pool, and suddenly it dawned on her. There could be a meaning to what she just saw after all. Alyssa remembered the Professor mentioning about birds flying in V-formation. From what she understood birds flying in that formation usually meant teamwork. “Teams are your friends and they are important to have because they help you get through the hard times and also help you complete your tasks faster. So that’s what the first few birds flying in V-formation mean i.e. that I need to cherish my friends. But what does the last bird flying alone mean?” Alyssa thought to herself.

She thought for a few minutes and suddenly realized that the lone bird was her. She always tended to work alone, but after arriving in Hogwarts, she now realized her mistake, and was trying to make up for it, by making as many friends as she could, because she knew that without her friends and their help, she would get left behind, in terms of personal growth, as well as, in completing her tasks.

Alyssa was really surprised with what she had discovered. She hoped that when she presented her readings to the Professor, that he would agree with her too
