Aiden felt something was getting heavy on her nose. Much to her surprise, her nose was transfigured into an elephant's trunk. How dare she! Before everyone else noticed it, Aiden quickly swished her wand to her nose. "Homini," she said half-screaming. Her nose turned back to normal. Lucky she did a lot of reading before entering Hogwarts!

It's time to get serious. From afar, the grey eyes fixed on the figure in front of them. Aiden looked like a predator about to attack it's prey. However, she remained still for a moment, observing whether the younger girl will get distracted.

Noticing a Hufflepuff, same year as she was, Erin asked the girl. "Wanna partner?" It seemed like the Hufflepuff was more than ready to attack her opponent the hard way. Of course, she wouldn't let win. She won't be easy on her just like what the Professor had instructed.

The professor paired Jesifur off with another first year. Jesifur walked over to her and said, "Hi. Jesifur Hitchens," and offered her hand. "I guess we're going to duel."

louise hear a girl talk to her, "yes please that would be great to pair up, what spell do you want to try first"

The Hufflepuff was asking her what spell to try first. Before anything else, she wanted to make it in good terms by introducing herself first. "I'm Erin by the way," she said bowing her head a little. "And you are?"

"What spells do you know?" she asked. First years have their disadvantage over higher year students since they don't have enough knowledge about different spells.

Arya twirled her wand between her fingers as she quickly glanced around the classroom. She was excited about this activity, though a bit disheartened that her usual dueling partner wasn't here.

Oh, but Treyen was. Heh. It could be loads of fun with him! She glanced at him with a nod of her head. "Yeah. We don't have matching wand cores do we?" Not that it would stop her from being his partner, but Mr. Spencer did ask them to check.

The Puff prefect was already rising to her feet.

While Louisa was caught into a sneezing fit, Eino took advantage of the opportunity to free himself. "Finite." He said while tapping both shoes, then jumping up to his feet. Luckily for him that had word, but it wasn't long until the Sneezing Hex wore off and Louisa was ready to respond.

He didn't have much time, and the next thing he saw was a smirk on Louisa's face and a bright colored light flying towards him. Unable to identify the spell, Eino hesitated using the Shield Charm, and hoped for the best. It wasn't long until the spell took effect. Eino's legs began to move wildly and uncontrollably. Twisting, turning, kicking, flailing, and wobbling. It was embarrassing, but he still could control his upper body, so he pointed his wand at the girl's head, and concentrated. "Melofors!" He shouted, hoping a giant pumpkin would encase the girl's head and block her view momentarily.

It was EPIC. The way the boy's legs were moving, Louisa giggled at that, her wand was still raised in front of her, and she caught his hand doing a something very much like a wand movement because the next thing she knew she was in a dark room. Kind of.

She froze for a second, her heart racing as she processed what had just happened. Her hand touched her head - well, tried to and instead she was touching something smooth, like SO smooth and not at all skin. Frantically, the girl started pushing this thing he made appear on her head. It wasn't working though, especially with the freaking-out sounds she was making inside. She was so going to get him to freak out like this once she was out... the Ravenclaw pointed her wand upward at what she assumed was her head's direction and murmured, "Liqubrium," The what used to be a solid pumpkin was now orange liquid spilled all over her uniform.

She'd get to that later, "Draconifors!" At the dragon statue hanging from the ceiling, one of them should attack the boy...

...they wouldn't eat him if he was slow, would they? The Ravenclaw kept her eyes open for any possible life-saving mission.

"hi my name is louise, it's nice to meet you, i don't know much spells to be honest i am bad at magic, in lesson i get shy if i have to do a spell in cause i get it wrong" she did a low bow

Kennedy stood from his chair, trying to remember the spells he knew, since using his Spell Notebook would probably be cheating and there would be no time for looking them up. He folded his sleeves up to his elbows and then casted his eyes to the crowd.

Hmmm...

He didn't like the find-a-partner thing, but he needed one. It wasn't like he could practice with the wall.

A large pumpkin encased Louisa's head just as he had intended it to, and just as the jinx she had placed on him began to wore off. His legs were no longer dancing uncontrollably, but his legs were hurting just a bit, and he was exhausted from all that dancing. He took only a few moments to catch his breath, during which the girl freed herself from the pumpkin had, and already plotted to counter.

Eino was paying careful attention to her wand movement, but it wasn't necessary. The moment she raised her wand he knew what she was going to do. Panting, he raised his wand and pointed at the newly transfigured dragon, but he hesitated. He didn't want to attack the dragon! He did manage to duck and cover his head as the dragon flew right over him, but not without scratching his hands and arms a bit with its claws. "Duro." He said pointing his wand at the small dragon, hoping to turn it into stone, or at least make it heavy so it could fall to the ground and no longer able to fly.

Victoria was in a desperate need for a partner, and then she spotted Kennedy. Ahh...good rescue..."Hey!" Victoria walked over to a fellow Slytherin. "You wanna be my partner?" the fifth-year Snake asked her friend.

Ow! Hearing Louise saying she didn't know any spells, this duel's going to be a disaster. Oh no! She must think of the spells she had known from other classes and all the spells she had read from her books. Reminiscing she said, "Well, be ready, we need to duel right now." Erin lifted her wand at the ready and added, 'You should be doing the couterspell, that's the lesson."

At the instant she casted the spell, "Stupefy!" Erin felt a little guilty since Louise already confessed that she didn't know much spells. She just hoped that tis one, she knew.

Katrina watched as the Hufflepuff approached her. "Hello, I'm Katrina Hudson," the girl told the Hufflepuff. "Yeah, I guess so,"

Katrina took her wand out of her pocket. "You could start the duel though,"

The boy actually smirked at her question, "I highly doubt it." But he failed to answer, didn't he? Then he remembered how they used to pick the same favorite stuff...and...decided to let her know, just in case, "Demiguise hair." So, she didn't have the same for core, right?

That would be disastrous...and he'll get back to Vashti in no time. "Yours?" He was just curious now.

Treyen being all smirks-y had her curious as to why and the look he was receiving said just that. Her wand twirled expertly between her fingers. "We'll never know until you tell me." Unless she'd already told him what her core was and just forgotten. It was possible.

"Oh. No I don't have that." Grin. Did Ollivanders even sell wands with that core? She didn't think so. "Phoenix feather." Common enough, but she adored her precious wand more than almost anything. "So we don't have to worry about that." Hehe. "Now, lets do steps and bow so we can have some fun."

See, to Vashti, the smirk would've been a completely normal expression on the boy's face while being in this room. Or not in this room, but in this particular room as they listened to what Mr. Spenser had to say....but to Arya....it wasn't, he saw that.

Exactly. He figured she wouldn't. Though, in reality, he'd wondered if perhaps they had the same wand cores or not...but...Treyen nodded, that was one thing they didn't have to worry about. Good. And phoenix feather? He liked Phoenixes.

Fun? The smirk was back. "Of course," he said as he started to walk away from her and he leaned in a little bow, "Ladies first."

Was everyone taken already?

Kennedy was about to go back to his seat when he saw Victoria. "Hi," he greeted. She was like a life saver, really. "Yeah," he said, thankfully. He got his wand out and stepped several feet away from her. He was kind of nervous of losing some eyebrow or something, but Victoria wouldn't do that...right?

"You go first, yeah?" he asked. Ladies first, m'hm.

He was smirking again. It would be nerve racking if she didn't know and trust him so well. The young prefect took the needed steps away from Treyen, turning on her heels and bowing with the same grin she'd worn before.

Her first duel with Treyen, and no shields allowed? This would be fun.

"Incarcerous." She trained her wand her co-prefect, watching as the ropes shot out of her wand and flew straight at him.

Before the spell could even take effect on Louise's body, she had casted the Rennervate spell. She was listening earlier, huh! What's weird is that she never attacked back. Would she just counter all the spells Erin would throw at her? Maybe, she's not really that good in knowing them. But probably just a few whom a first year would know? Not trying to lend her attention to the other students, Erin moved a little closer to Louise to have the right spot to hit her again.

Just to make an entertainment, Erin raised her wand towards the Hufflepuff and shouted, "Levicorpus!" Erin just hoped Louise listened as well to the other students recitation earlier.

"Ok," Jesifur said as she turned and walked away to ensure they had ample room to duel. She stopped several feet away from Katrina and turned to face her. Jesifur quickly pulled her wand. She swept it to the right and turned her wrist clockwise and shouted, "Incarcerous". Much to her own delight ropes flew out of the end of her wand and flew at Katrina.

Oh boy. Ropes. Katrina did not like getting entangled with ropes! But her determination to cut those ropes were high.

Katrina held her breath for a while and positioned her wand. "Diffindo," the girl screamed. To Katrina's delight, the ropes were cut and they fell on the floor.

"My turn to start," Katrina said. She pointed her wand at Jesifur and said loudly "Stupefy"

See? Never underestimate a first year student!!

After Raven hit her by Bestiar charm. The opponent was not attacked her.

Raven took a deep breath, thinking what will she do next. And...

"MIMBLE WIMBLE!!"

Louisa watched her dragon flying down toward the boy… why wasn't he casting a confringo or anything at it? O__O She raised her wand and recited the wand movement and the incantation in her head. "Watch out!" Yelling at him when the dragon was so close and the boy merely ducked.

Then finally the alive statue was descending toward the floor quickly as a stiff figure.

Phew. Louisa let out a small sigh of relief but didn't let down her guard or her willing to duel, "Impiriano," with a quick circular motion to protect him from her next spell, "Shrowan!" An arrow was making its way toward the boy. It shouldn't.. kill him.
