Duelling club... This was going to be interesting...hence why Josh had made his way to where the bulletin board said it was going to take a place at. He looked neither too enthusiastic nor uninterested about it. There was a kinda neutral expression on his face yet of course his confidence was always present and obvious. Upon entering the room, he eyed the people inside standind at the doorsill however before he could look at everyone in the room, his gaze locked on the super ancient person in the middle of the place. Well...this could tell him that this duelling had nothing to do with physical combat but it was still interesting. ''Good day, sir.'' he said with a clear voice. Was he a professor? He did not know. So...whatever. And he walked forward and chose a random spot to stand and stare. |

''Hello proffeser'' she smilied and looked for anyone she knew Oh Pres1 ''Hey!'' |
Dueling club. This is something Jonathan has been ready to go to. He did see the pot back at the common room that a new professor will be teaching this club. Although, he has no idea to who it is. Truth be told, he's more excited to get out of class and come by the great hall to start with the dueling club. So exciting. Jonathan entered the room the professor was standing, waiting for them to come in already. Good day, professor" he greeted. Well, this should be fun since dueling club means... DUELING. *woot* |
Dueling huh? Geraldine wasn't much of a fighter but she could be if the situation needed her to be a fighter. She might be small, for now but, heck, she could bring down a troll with one blow *smirk*. Geraldine entered the room, with all her thoughts filled with expectations about the dueling club meeting. When she entered the room, she didn't immediately see the one in-charge or professor, anyway atleast she saw him. no wonder Geraldine didn't notice him at first, they were about the same height, Geraldine was a bit taller though. "Good day Sir" Geraldine said, she wasn't sure if she should've called him professor, but atleast sir was on the safe zone. After greeting the professor Geraldine looked around to find her own seat. |
Dueling, huh? Katrina thought. It was the perfect place to learn how to defend yourself and to learn more spells. They're pretty useful in Charms, Transfiguration, and D.A.D.A. too. Katrina saw the Professor who was in charge. "Good day, Professor," she greeted. |
Her bag especially heavy because of all her books and parchment from class, Kurumi had thought about just heading back to the common room and taking the rest of the evening off to lounge on her bed and perhaps take a cat nap with Walnut. Upon entering the room, Kurumi wasn't surprised to see that a crowd had already gathered, but where was the professor? Kurumi weaved her way around looking for whoever it was that would be teaching them, but no one professor-like was there. Setting her bag down on the floor, Kurumi looked forward and saw, well, she wasn't entirely sure what it was she saw other than perhaps a first year that was dressing up in costume. She heard several students greet with them, calling them professor and sir, and her eyes widened for a moment before taking a step forward and bowing to him politely. "G-Good afternoon, sir," she said sheepishly. |
A dueling club meeting was something Daichi was VERY looking forward to. He wasn't the best when it comes to performing spells so he hoped to learn it at this...was this a class or? The second year followed the students as they made their way in to the room. He looked around for a moment before his eyes fell on a elderly man who was standing in the middle. "Uhm..h-hello.." Professor? Mister? Dude? "Sir" he decided and smiled a bit shyly before finding a place for his own. |
The Dueling Club was going to be interesting. Jory arrived and found quite a few students already there. And so was the Professor. "Good day, Sir,'' Jory said politely. |
What the heq am I thinking? Thought Ness as she neared the crowd. Dueling wasn't her thing at all and she had no idea why she had come to the meeting in the first place. It was as though her feet had brought her here without her knowing. Nessie stood straight trying to go against her gut feel which was to leave. She slowly walked over to what seemed to be the Duelling Professor. "Morning Pr..Sir" said Ness noticing most people were calling him sir and not Professor. Nessie looked around noticing how older and stronger some of the other students looked like. She wouldn't have a chance against them not even if she tried her best. She closed her eyes and keeped them close looking at the other kids just made her more and more anxious. She didn't care if others laughed at her, because her eyes were shut she just needed to take away her nervousness. |

Should she mention to the girl that she herself wasn't that great in Transfiguration? Although, Evelyn seemed better with the counter-spells to the spells themselves. She was also tempted to leave it like it was but the yellow hurt her eyesight. Being distracted in a dueling club was not cool. "Too much." she mumbled, taking out her wand and tapping it twice on the young girl's head before saying the counter-spell. Her hair was originally dark brown right? Short people. Eh. |
Dueling Club. There wasn't anything else that sounded more strange. Nevertheless, Ariella found herself entering the room, ready for the meeting. She wasn't sure if she should bow to the 'professor' or not. "Hello, profe-," she cut herself off. "Good day, Sir." |
Dueling club. That sounded fun, practical use of magic. Jesifur entered the room and greeted the Instructor. "Good day sir." she said with a slight curtsy. She found a seat across the room and set her bag down. Sitting down her self she pulled out her wand and set it upon her lap. |
Dueling... Interesting. Joanna was never attended a dueling lesson, but she did know the basics. At least, she thinks she knows. She made her way to the hall and entered, holding her wand firmly. "Hello," she said trying to find to look and sound confident, she never seen this professor before, not even at the feast, so she's a bit shy. Before continuing to walk towards the group of unknown students Joanna thought to herself, "Maybe dueling will be my strong side," ever since the beginning of the year, she hasn't really been very successful at most of the lessons, so maybe at dueling she'll succeed. |
Gnaeus nodded as the first few students arrived and greeted him. After the bell tolled, the great hall filled with voices and a new crowd of young witches and wizards entered the room. He checked his watch periodically and decided to give them an additional ten minutes for any late arrivals and lost students. Finally, when the room was filled with students from all ages and houses, and no one else seemed to be coming, Gnaeus spoke. "Welcome to the Dueling Club, young wizards and witches." He announced, then climbed lunar phase stage. Ah, much better, now he could see all of them, and they could all see him. "My name is Gnaeus Spenser and this year I have been invited by your Headmaster to teach you the art of dueling. I have an immense amount of experience with dueling, having worked as an auror for nearly forty years. I have also participated in numerous dueling tournaments around the globe, and received the title of Dueling Champion twenty eight times." He paced up and down the stage as he spoke. "Now, I want you all to introduce yourselves so we may all become better acquainted. Tell us your name, year, house, why you want to join the dueling club, and finally, what are your strengths and weaknesses." |
She had hoped she wouldn't be late. The rumours of a duelling club had filtered down to her greenhouses and Seren couldn't help but feel a little excited by the phenomenon. Not really knowing when this meeting was supposed to start, she had finished off her tasks and changed into clean, dirt-free navy robes for the occasion. However as she approached the Great Hall she could already hear a mature and unfamiliar voice addressing the students. Slipping into the room near the Great Hall quietly, Seren edged around the crowd, off to the side to observe. She hoped her presence wouldn't interrupt the proceedings. |
SPOILER!!: Proffesah Wow he sure knew how to make an annoucment... Twenty eight times TWENTY EIGHT times??????? The dueling championships WOW they were sure lucky to get Gnaeus ''Luna Kieren 2nd year Ravenclaw i'm good at reading, spells and quidditch and i'm hopless at singing dancing and divination'' she mumbled divination no one was perfect eh? But she was good at stuff that were improtent she wasn't going to become a popstar any day soon... And divination was just nonsense |
Well well well! The little gnome man liked to shout! No wonder Tori spotted Professor Bentley sneaking in the door behind everyone else. She was a shouter too. Tori could also shout. "My name is Princess Victoria M. Bunbury, I'm a third year Slytherin and I'm good at Quidditch, Herbology, Potions, shopping, shouting, and making things pink, and I have no weaknesses." She smiled all around at everyone and then did a fancy little curtsy, like all princesses do. |

He really did have dueling experience. And... introducing herself. Right. "My name is Nora Reed," she said with her hand half raised in the air, and then let it fall back down. "I'm a second year Slytherin," and proud of it, but... moving on. "I want to join the dueling club because... I want to learn more," which is why she was at school, right? Now... strengths and weaknesses. "I don't really have problems with charms that are suitable for my age, and... as for the weaknesses... isn't it better if the opponent doesn't know that?" Riiiight? |

Waaaait. Did he just wink? o_____O "Alright," she said hesitantly. "I suppose I sometimes act before I think twice. I mean... I think too quickly and make the wrong decisions. I might do that in a duel as well." There. Now he knew her weakness, and so did everyone in the room. |

Eyebrows arched in surprise, she cleared her throat lightly. Awkward much? "Ahh... forgive me for the intrusion... I'm Professor Seren Bentley, Herbology" she turned to the students breifly. If they so much as giggled, they would find themselves in a not so funny situation... and a few points lighter as well. "I was simply curious and came to observe. I hope you don't mind." Not for the first time this term, she was taking advantage of the extra curicular activities. Dancing and now duelling... it was rather brilliant. |

This man was like the definition of COOL in Daichi's mind! Auror for forty years AND dueling champion twenty eight times! That were like, Daichi's dreams~ It wasn't so weird that Daichi found himself staring with fascination at the man as his eyes twinkled , a stupid grin on his lips. "Daichi Katharos , Sir!" he said enthusiastically when it was his turn. "Second year Slytherin." he thought about why he wanted to join the dueling club for a moment. "Because...because i want to become a champion too, just like you sir!" more sparkly eyes. wait ..strenghts? "eeeh.... Quidditch..i think..." he said, honestly he had no idea what were his strenghts. Now weakness, he had alot. "As for weakness...Charms, using spells, fire and ducks because they are so adorable!~" Yup. |
SPOILER!!: Professor Great(!) It's started. Kita was not looking forward to this at all. Not only was she likely to get beaten by someone younger than her, she was also likely to embarrass herself in the process. Great(!) Wait... WHAT?! Twenty eight times? TWENTY EIGHT?! How did this... man manage to win a Duelling Championship TWENTY EIGHT TIMES?! MERLIN! Ok, back to what the man was talking about. Introductions? She understood that bit but... strengths and weaknesses? Why did other people need to know that? After all, there was a REASON why she was here in the first place! Shouldn't that be enough? Hmph. "Er... i'm Kita Lewis. Seventh year, Hufflepuff," she said, keeping a nervous smile plastered on her face, "As for strengths, i'm, er, pretty okay at spells and such. And Quidditch, i think. But i'm hopeless at defending myself. I lack the courage to, er, believe in myself sometimes. And that's why i'm here!" Yeah, 'cause that wasn't embarrassing at all(!) |
Jesifur raised her hand and when called stood up. "My name is Jesifur Hitchens, Hufflepuff, first year. I joined dueling club to learn in practice, my strengths are that I learn quickly, and concentrate well, and never give up. Also, those are often my weaknesses too." Jesifur sat back down quickly and thought she'd like a disappearing spell right now. |
Dueling Club! Ira was really excited to be a part of it as it was her first time she had come across something like it. Did he just say twenty eight times? He won title of dueling champion twenty eight times! Wow he must be a real expert! "I'm Ira Wilson, sir. First year, Gryffindor. I want to join this dueling club for fun, at least for now... Well, learning to duel isn't a bad thing right? Also I really want to do something different!" Well, she surely had done many different things here which she couldn't have even imagined two months ago! "My strengths are casting spells atleast those which are suitable for my age and my concentration and focus is good. My weakness is umm...chocolate?" God, how she loved chocolate! |
