Brynn ambled about the grounds, though it was the Whomping Willow where she finally ended up. The gigantic tree thrashed and whipped its limbs about and Brynn simply stood there, looking at the thing trying to swat away the occasional bird. It was quite sad when it actually hit one.

The Gryffindor girl took a breath and sat down upon the cool grass. She leaned back on her palms and sifted the blades of grass between her fingers.

Jonathan had nothing else to do today so he decided to visit the most magnificent tree in Hogwarts. The Whomping Willow. It's been here for ages now, since the time of his parents and even before that. He didn't go near because it's suicidal to come near that tree.

Jonathan is just probably a few meters away from it. Not very far though. He sat down on the field. He was tired and alone, he just needed some fresh air thats all.

Sigh.

He doesn't look that good either. Sleepy? Yes. He is very sleepy. The Slytherin dorm beds are quite alright but Jonathan misses his bed at home. Not that he is complaining though. He's glad he's back at Hogwarts. He misses the Slytherin common room the most.

Minnie suddenly felt like someone was watching her, she was SURE someone was watching her actually. She just FELT it and Minnie was right with her gut feelings. The blonde turned around and saw an older boy eying her. She stared at his face a little bit...

PRETTY FACE. *________*

And then quickly sunk back into reality.

"TAKE A PICTURE. It laaaaasts longer, you knooow?"She said with a tiny smile attempting to not like, STARE at his pretty face. It was a nice face, she couldn't HELP it. Awkwardly, she readjusted her crown, giggling a bit."The tree SHOULD be sorry."She said in midst of all her giggling. "It isn't as BIG and SCARY as everyone told me it would be."Her eyes flickered back to the tree before shrugging. TREE WASN'T THAT COOL NOW THAT PRETTY FACE WAS AROUND. ^___^

Yes, he was much more interesting than a stupid TREE.

Cassie was on a jogging mission. She was up early and had been jogging for nearly forty-five minutes before she got to the whomping willow. Yeah, Hogwarts was that bloody huge. She was beginning to sweat a little too despite the cool September day. She was going to make this quidditch team even if it meant she had to run around school being sweaty.

She stopped a safe distance away from the willow and decided that she would use this spot to stretch, since a lot of students didn't frequent this area.

Cassie was surprised to see the familiar figure of her best friend though and she didnt seem..happy... Unhappy Brynn meant unhappy Cass. She abandoned her stretching and hurried over to her best friend, all thoughts of quidditch gone from her mind.

"Hey Hunny Bunni, you okay?" She asked tilting her head to look at her friend, the evident look of concern etched into her features.

Jaymie wandered down to the grounds that morning. Her stomach was tight, and butterflies were flying around inside her. She was so nervous for school to start, so she was craving some fresh air. Jaymie had her small, dark blue journal in her hand. She also had a quill. Jaymie found a rock near the Whomping Willow to sit on. She sat for a few minutes and just looked at the tree. It was so pretty...and destructive apparently. She had only heard Isobel tell her about it, she wasn't positive she believed it.

Dallin chuckled quietly at her comment and shrugged. "I was looking at your crown, actually. It's - uh - well..." Weird? Unusual? "Different. I can safely say I've never seen a girl walking around school in a crown."

Then she started talking about the tree, so Dal focused on that instead of the crown. Not big and scary? "If you go stand next to it you'll think it's big and scary," he said matter-of-factly and with a little laugh. Not that he'd reccommend that; he'd heard stories.

"Anyway, my name's Dallin. And yours?"

" Hi, nice day today" Willaim told the girl. " I just came here to collect my thoughts" William said to her. "What about you?" William asked the girl. " My name is William Montcenaggio but please call me William Starr.

"Thanks," Xandi smiled as she sat down. "I'm Xandria but most people just call me Xandi." She sighed looking up at the huge mass of wood in front of her. "Is it true that the Whomping Willow actually moves?"

Ella nodded again and pointed to the branches. 'Look!' Ella watched too for a bit. 'It's always moving, even if it's just a teeny bit. So people won't get to close..' She smiled. She liked this tree.

"That's weird. . ." Xandi said as she gazed up into the branches. At first that could be dismissed as the wind, but not if you looked closely. "I've never seen anything like this before, it's amazing!"

Beth sat at the Whomping Willow, admiring it. "I'll have to draw this." She whispered, taking out her drawing pad. She looked around and then plopped down on the ground, pencil ready. But just as she put it to the paper, a branch thumped at the ground making her jump with surprise, and her pencil flew out of her hand and rolled against the bark. She groaned. How will I get that?! she thought.

Adrianna walked outside, wincing at every step. She walked over towards the Whomping Willow and watched as a girl began to draw. Adrianna giggled to herself and muttered, "Accio pencil" she grabbed the pencil and went over to the girl. "I think this belongs to you" she said, dropping the pencil in the girl's lap. "I'm Adrianna, by the way. Adrianna Charday" she said as she plopped down next to her.

"Thanks." Smiled Beth. "And I'm Beth Lourie. I'm thirteen but this is my first year at Hogwarts, I'm still sort of getting used to the whole magic thing... Would you like to sit down?" She offered, patting the space beside her.

Grinning Ella watched the tree. 'Me neither!' She replied.

"No problem. I drew this tree last year. This is my second year. I'm twelve" she said, smiling. "My parents thought I was a Squib because I never showed any magical talent until a day before my letter came" she said as she sat down. "What house are you in? I'm in Slytherin" she said.

"Ravenclaw." Replied Beth. "I'm in Ravenclaw. I never even heard of the magic world, I'm muggle born you see, and my parents and brother are abroad so I lived with my crazy Aunt Noreen. She died a few months ago so my cousin Skye adopted me sort of. She's pureblood and she recongnised the signs. So here I am!" She smiled. "Thirteen and undereducated."

Awestruck by her own meaningful words, Lola gazed at the tree and waved a 'hello' to it, and then telepathically spoke to the tree in her mind! STILL, it spoke nothing. Did the tree not want to be her friend? No. Maybe it was shy! All trees were shy at first, she knew that. "Don't be shy, new friend! I'm Lola Jo-o-o-o-o-o-ones," she sang, because in those Muggle movies she'd watched, those princesses would sing to the tree and the animals and they would ALL become alive!

And they would talk! AND SING! AND DANCE! "DANCE WITH ME, TREEEEE!" Lola got up from her knees, twirling in the air, spinning round and round and rouuuuund until she had the urge to vomit, in which she stopped, and then fell back on her knees.

Hmm.

Her secret conversation almost made her forget about the boy who was standing right there. OOOH!

She cocked her head in confusion when he told her the tree's name was ... the Whomping Wallow? Wellow? What? "How would you know?! Did it speak to you?! IT SPOKE TO YOU, but not ME?!" She was OFFENDED. Did the boy seriously know how to speak Treeish or Treedenic?! NO WAY. That was amazing. Lola had a slight hint of jealousy in her but she SHOVED ALL THAT JEALOUSY AWAY! Walking on her knees, she knee'd her way to the boy.

"TEACH ME YOUR WAYS, BOY! What is your name? My name is Lola Jones. Lo-la! Now," she patted on the ground, motioning him to kneel down with her, "How'd you do it?! What's yer secret? Hmm? TELL ME, BOY! TELL ME!"

"Are there more trees like this in the wizarding world or is the Whomping Willow one of a kind?" Xandi said, still staring at the branches.

Ella shrugged. 'Hm.. I'm not sure. There might be another tree like this somewhere..' The only thing Ella knew was that this particular tree had been here for a very long time!

Then Ella saw somebody kneeling down by it's trunk. She look.. unusual. She noticed she was talking to the tree. Ella grinned. She look fun.. not weird.. just fun.

"Well, I hope there is, Hogwarts students surely can't be the only ones who get to see it," Xandi smiled.

Ella smiled and nodded.

Kita looked at Caroline with a confused expression on her face. Caroline was going through and problem and now she was... laughing? OH! Waggling eyebrows and wink. Of course! Ok, everything was good... so why was the girl talk needed? Unless... Kita raised her eyebrows. "You really like him?" she asked, "Like, really, really, SERIOUSLY like him?" Wait... backtrack! Kita could have sworn that the two of them were going out! So what was the big problem? And then it hit her. Was Caroline trying to say... "Caroline..." she started, "Are you falling in love with Carter?" Because, well, that is BIG!

Was she dancing? Yup she was dancing...

Daichi looked dumbstruck at the girl as she pushed herself off the ground and twirled around in circles. eeeeeeh...what was he suppose to do?! Call the nurse? He had never seen behaviour like this before and it worried him , just slighty, it amused him more than anything. The girl managed to get his headache away he had previously with her funny way of doing things.

The first year watched transfixed as the girl moved around until he saw her get a bit sick from spinning. Chuckling, Daichi was about to extend his hand to help the girl when he his movements where cut off .. again.

He jumped in surprise at the loud voice of the girl. "Eeeeh...i ..." he began but wondered what to say when the girl made her way to him ON HER KNEES! O_o Add another strange thing on his list. "I'm Daichi Katharos , first year Slytherin..." oh man how was he going to explain to the girl that his big brother had told him the tree's name? The girl, who introduced herself as Lola seemed to be a transfer student. Yup must be it. And perhaps muggleborn? he wasn't sure. He saw Lola pet the grass beside her as if the to say 'sit down' and he ..suprisingly.. did.

It must have been an awkward sight, two students kneeling towards a tree. And not just any tree. The Whomping Willow! He hoped the tree didn't stomp them ... oh right, his 'ways' "Uhm .. i ..don't know?" he said as he placed his plushed duck next to him on the grass. "I heard it ..in the ..wind?" should he tell her his older brother had told him the name of the tree? ..NAH.

Xandi sat, happily, until the peace was disrupted by a meow from not too far behind her. "Great," she sighed. "I have to go see to my cat, it pretty much follows me everywhere." Getting up, Xandi smiled at Ella, "See you round I guess." She said as she walked away.

Lola looked around, glancing at the people that were also suddenly interested in the tree. Hehe. And she saw somebody, looking at HER! EEE! She was grinning too. Was she looking at her or the tree? Confusion. Nonetheless, she returned her grin with a smile of her own and then waved and waved... and waaaaaaaved, before turning her attention back to the boy.

She looked perplexed, and then leaned in forward, wondering if this boy was also shy. Maybe the tree only talked to shy people. Because Lola Jones was not a shy girl--or maybe she was, and everyone was just shyer. No no, wait, he was introducing himself to her! DID THAT MEAN THEY WERE FRIENDS?! Two friends in one day.

Whoah. That was an achievement.

"Daichi Kath-a-ros?" She enunciated, wondering if that was his name. Daichi. Katharos. His five syllable name was too much for her. Too much! "Can I call you Kathy? Or Rossy? Or Chichi?" Lola inquired, very curious if the boy would accept those lovely nicknames she had given him.

What, too feminine?

TOO BAAAAD!

"Sooooo, Kathy," she started, and then leaned in even MORE to see if he would spill out the magical secrets. "C'mon, boy, don't be shy! You can tell me everything! I wanna talk to the tree too! DON'T BE GREEDY, BOY, DON'T BE GREEDY!" She was basically whispering in his ears in the loudest whispers she could mutter out, and she gave him the death glare when he told her that silly "I don't know." "No, no, boy, SPILL IT ALL OUT!" Lola watched the plush duck beside him and she gave it a long stare.

Hehehe.

"HEARD IT IN THE WIND, EH?! Lie. YOU LIE!" Was she really going to fall for that?! She looked almost hurt again, "The wind doesn't talk. Silly boy, did you think I'd fall for that???" Lola swiftly grabbed the plushed ducky and then held it in the air, high in the air, and gave an evil smile.

"Spill it or the duck uhhhh..." Now what was she going to do with a duck? "I'LL THINK'A something, Rossy! And it's not gonna be pretty!"
