I kid you not, this is one tree you don’t want to mess with. It's best you keep a safe distance from the Whomping Willow’s tree limbs or you may end up with a few broken limbs yourself.
Connor hid his face in his hands. It was just like before, Why did he have to let his feelings get so pent up. He should have opened up and talked to someone about what he was feeling but lately opening up hasn't been a good thing really not about feelings. "No Dani, everything's not okay. I lost my temper and I could have killed you. It's not good at all to be around me when I transform. That's what I've been trying to say to you, If you knew me you would know that." He sighed hiding his face in his arms, propping them on his knees.
Connor was already upset with himself. "I know Kurumi! I know what kind of monster I am. I know I lost it and I know I should have said something about what's making me angry." He whispered. He knew better than anyone after very nearly killing someone once before. "It's just hard to let it all out. I don't want to hurt anyone but I can only hold in my emotions for so long before I have to let them out somehow. Writing helps but I don't have my journal, and music helps sometimes.."
He put his head back on his kees. He already felt awful, "I didn't mean to scare or hurt anyone. I scare myself and that's enough. I just don't know what to do when I get to that point that it's either vent or explode sometimes. I hold my feelings in a lot especially lately. I can't exactly go to my stepfather and say I hate you for disappearing and I can't go up to my birth parents and tell them how I feel either. I'm not trying to make excuses cause I have none. I know I could have hurt her a lot worse than I did!" He raised his hand and looked up at them both. "I'm sorry for loosing my temper." He whispered honestly.
"And what if the things that hurt, the things that make me angry are big things? He asked softly. Things like just finding out that my stepdad is still missing and that he may have tried to kill us when I was little...amongst other things...." He sighed. "I hate giving in Kurumi you know what happened the first time I transformed. I hate this!" He sobbed. "I hate being a freak, a monster!" He buried his face in his hands again. "I want so much more than this!"
He reached out for her hand her fingertips something, he needed her. Closing his eyes he whispered. "Kurumi could you hold my hand please?" He leaned his head back fighting the images her words brought up. "I don't want to think about it, it hurts too much." He whispered. He could have seriously hurt or killed anyone out here and it could have very well been two of the most important people in his life and he hated himslef for that. With his free hand he groped in his pocket for his flask he popped it open and drank some of his mother's calming potion. He rested his head against the back of the tree and took deep breaths calming himself.

Kurumi had been more than a little indimidated by older students and had made a fool of herself on more than once occasion. Things had fallen into place a little better her second term though, clearly, since she now had more close friends in the 5th and 6th years than she did her own year.
Kurumi watched in horror as the harpy that Connor had turned himself into attacked Dani and she rolled her eyes at the blonde for not taking the hint and backing off. If it had been a rabid dog, foaming at the mouth, would she had still insisted that she go over and pet it on its head and try to snuggle it. She certainly hoped not, because that would not only be foolish, but suicidal as well.
Kurumi didn't like thinking about Connor in that light, but in doing some research about Veela in the library she had come to the conclusion that if and when he became what he was right now she really had no other choice.
Marching over towards the commotion, she arrived just as Connor had finally removed him from his perch and had hidden himself behind the tree. Not sure what had come over her in the moment, perhaps it was a lot of pent up frustration, she snapped her head around and faced Dani.
"Dani, look, I know that you want to do the right thing, but you are bloody blind if you think you were helping the situation," she said trying to keep her voice as even as she possibly could and pointing to the girl's torn clothes and small wounds. "You have only been feeding fuel to the fire, literally." She wanted to tell the girl to just step back and go get herself checked out in the hospital wing, but she figured the girl was going to be too stubborn to do so. "You are lucky he didn't try launch balls of fire from his hand."
Turning her head around, Kurumi walked around the tree, folded her arms across her chest, and looked down at the mess of feathers that Connor had found himself in. "As for you," she said thrusting her arm out towards Dani. "You could have killed her! You let yourself get caught up in your emotions and you lost control." She dropped her hand to her side and she remembered the conversation they had had about controlling their abilities. Yes, Kurumi's were also emotionally triggered and were set off easier than Connor's, but without the stark contrast in personalities. Kurumi's voice quivered slightly from fear. What if he transformed back and ended up attacking her?
"We all know what anger is, and we've all felt it, whether as a fleeting annoyance or as full-fledged rage depends on the given situation. Anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive like what YOU just allowed yourself to do, it can lead to disaster and ruin the overall quality of your life. And it can make you feel as though you're at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion," she narrowed her eyes and folded her hands once more. "You allowed yourself to go there and you could have done something you would have really regretted." She snapped her head around to look at Dani. Where WAS she getting this confidence from? She really wasn't sure, but best to finish her thought process before she went back into her cookie cutter mold. "You were only upsetting him more when it was whatever was said between the two of you that set him off. Did you WANT him to kill you? Did you think that would fix whatever was going on?"
Kurumi then looked back at Connor, her expression still stern but her eyes delivering a message of pity. "A man is about as big as the things that make him angry, Connor," she whispered kneeling down now to look more directly into his eyes, but making sure she was still keeping a safe distance, her right hand tucked into her robe's pocket on her wand ready to use it if needed. "We talked about this. If you give in, forget forget manners, forget etiquette, forget who you are as a person, you cannot attain anything."
She scooted a bit closer. "I am not telling you to deny that this part of you exists. I am asking you to acknowledge it and not let it overtake you. What if you had killed Dani..." she paused and picked up a stray feather. "W-W-W-What if you had attacked me?"
Dani watched Kurumi- wow, she'd... built up some confidence- "I'm sorry... it's kind of you to... y'know..." she said softly to her, her own shyness shining through a little right then. She really wanted to be friends with Kurumi, it would make this place better, it really would. She was fed up wishing she was back at Beauxbatons- she really was.
She moved over to them and knelt on the other side of Connor- "I'm so sorry. I really am. We need to talk- like... properly talk. You know my brothers way more than you know me, and we need to sort that out" she said honestly as she smiled reassuringly at him and then at Kurumi. She guessed things wouldn't work out how she really wanted them to, but she just had to accept that.
She had to be herself. She was sick of... sick of being so... so... superficial. That was the right word. Now she just had to be Danielle. Not this girl she'd built herself up to be. She wanted to be the real Dani- what was inside. She didn't care she looked a mess right then. She looked down at her arms and sighed- oh well.

Kurumi was a bit taken aback by Dani's reaction. That's....it? Older people sure were confusing when it came to relationships. Kurumi was beginning to realize just how little she knew about everything - and perhaps felt relieved that she still was naive to the majority of it all.
Kurumi bit her lip for a moment as she tried to figure out what Dani was thanking her for. Was she happy that a third year had lectured her? There had been stranger things her violet eyes had seen.
"If you two want to talk, I am going to head back to the castle and get some studying done," she said quietly glancing back and forth between the two. Well, not really studying so much as personal research.
SPOILER!!: Connor *pets*

Merlin help her.
Kurumi listened patiently as Connor spoke. He hadn't really been listening to her, clearly. Especially with that last comment of his about being a monster. It was becoming clear to her that being gentle on the subject wasn't helping. It was only making him more dependent.
Her father had cracked down on her once over the summer. He had been training her, helping her control her ability and was showing her how to focus her energy and harness her powers to do more than just make her hair turn colors. Her father had told her to focus on Walnut, more specifically his facial features, and to picture them on her face. She had sprouted whiskers after few tries, but then couldn't make them go away and had broken down into tears.
Her father had refused to hold her hand then. It wasn't something that was going to help her control it and return her to her usual state. Only she could do that. Just like only Connor could learn to control his own boggart.
"Connor, I understand, trust me..." she said slowly looking at his hand and resisting the urge to hold it as he requested. "I know what is it like to feel out of control and helpless to something that you are. But...nothing I do or say is going to shift the balance of power. Only you can..." She stood up and shook her head to signal that she wouldn't take a hold of his hand. "You have to stop turning everything into a self hating pity party and....and stop relying on me to be the one to make everything better..." Connor was doing to her what she had done to Adam...and she didn't return the feelings that Connor was showing her like Adam had to her.

"Hi Presley, how are you?" Rachel asked pleasantly, she smiled at the boy talking to her.
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?

" " You are trying to hit the ball as far as you can without anyone catching it" William told Presley. " In a real game, there are eight players plus rhe pitcher trying to get you out" William said to Presley. " If you hit it over the fence in front of you which is a a lot of feet from you, you will be credited with a homerun" William explained to Presley. Best thing in baseball for a hitter besides two more things" William smiled.
Presley nodded. Okay. This was nothing like hitting a bludger. You didn't want the ball near anyone. "Okay. Thank you for the clarification," she smiled. There was a lot more to this game than she'd origanally thought.

Ryden was pretty impressed with it, if she were completely honest. Not only did it have a pretty nifty little name, it literally WHOMPED you. She must ask Father to have one of these Willows planted in her own garden back home. Let's see how many annoyed people would STILL show up then. MWAHA.
Today, the brunette had decided that she was in a good mood. She'd complete her sulkiness later. Eying the people around the tree, an older boy caught her eye. Hey, he was CUTE. Ryden had no idea they made those here. Walking in his direction, the brunette plopped down beside him on his little rock and remained silent, her eyes on the tree.
Cute boys were a soft spot for her. Like studying. Oh, now isn't that cloud pattern nice?
Staring at the grey sky and then back at the Whomping Willow again, Riley hoped it wouldn't rain. That was one thing he hated about living in Great Britain, it was always overcast and raining. Sure there were days when it was beautiful outside but most of the time it wasn't and that attributed to his pale skin.
Before he could complain to himself anymore about the weather, a girl walked over and sat on the rock he was. Really? There wasn't anywhere else in the vacinity of the giant tree that she could have sat? He sat there for a minute and then looked over at her with just his eyes. Oh she was kind of cute. He continued to look straight ahead and spoke. "Sup?"
"I'm afraid I didn't know him very well," Kurumi frowned. "We spoke a few times in the common room, but he was much closer with my friend Fee." Kurumi's cheeks burned a bit when she listened to Rose and William talk about Quidditch. Could she, you know, go crawl under a rock somewhere or something? Please?
She blinked when the conversation turned back to her. "I-I-I think it was more about giving me a confidence boost," she said shyly. "I've never had a broom of my own. Flying was something I only thought you did in fairy tales when I was growing up. You can imagine my shock my first term here at Hogwarts. We flew on mops then..." And she had come out a muddy mess.

Yeah...that was an awkward situation she had somehow found herself in.
"I like having many friends," she said sheepishly trying to hide her blushing as best she could with her hands. "I-I didn't have any growing up. Not before I came to Hogwarts anyway." Long and complicated story.
Sighing, she hugged her knees to her chest. "And yes, Connor and I are friends," she nodded. "Although...I get the feeling he wants to be more than that..."

"You and me both," she laughed in a sing-song sort of way. She didn't want to go rubbing salt into the wound telling him how much rubbish she thought she was on a broom and how the only real Quidditch she had ever played was back in her first year when they played ancient Quidditch...but she would much rather they move conversation away from the sport and flying.
Although, the alternative wasn't very appealing either.
"Going out? Where? We aren't supposed to leave Hogwarts without permission" Kurumi squeaked looking at the first year. Perhaps Connor was more of a trouble maker than she had thought?

Sure there were days when it was beautiful outside but most of the time it wasn't and that attributed to his pale skin.
Before he could complain to himself anymore about the weather, a girl walked over and sat on the rock he was. Really? There wasn't anywhere else in the vacinity of the giant tree that she could have sat? He sat there for a minute and then looked over at her with just his eyes. Oh she was kind of cute. He continued to look straight ahead and spoke. "Sup?"
He was a talker alright.
There was something quite captivating about a violent willow against the backdrop of yet another overcast, horrible winter day such as this one. At least it wasn't snowing yet. Pulling up a knee, Ryden sneaked a glance at the older boy next to her and then immediately snapped her eyes back to the tree as he said something.
And that something was 'sup?'. A tiny shadow of a smile hinted on Ryden's lips and she leaned backwards on their little rock until she practically lying on it, one foot up and hands behind her head as she stared up at the sky. When you look straight at an overcast sky, it seems a lot brighter than one would imagine.
"Hi," she replied. See, THIS guy was normal - kept his words to a minimum. Why couldn't everyone at this bloody castle be more like him? People here cast perpetual cheering charms and kept talking and talking and blabbering on and on about something or other that wasn't even interesting OR stimulating. It was just... blah. Chatter.
"I hate this place," she let out with a sigh, no real conviction in her voice. It was true, she really did hate England (or Scotland, or wherever the heck they were in Britain) but - and NO ONE was going to ever know this - she was sort of warming up to Hogwarts as a school. It was. . . not all bad. Kinda. Whatever.

Connor looked up at Dani. "I hope you will understand but I need to be alone right now Dani. I'm still a mess and the last thing I need is to be smothered right now. I know you have good intentions but you're not helping me." he sighed

Connor sighed and tucked his hand back into his robes. He saw now that he'd have to do this on his own. "Thank you for the talk Kurumi." he said softly. "I think I need to be alone for a while." He said softly.
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?

Although, the alternative wasn't very appealing either.
"Going out? Where? We aren't supposed to leave Hogwarts without permission" Kurumi squeaked looking at the first year. Perhaps Connor was more of a trouble maker than she had thought?
'What? We're allowed to leave Hogwarts at week-ends? I didn't know that!' Rose frowned. 'Are you sure William, 'cause I don't want you being expelled, ther'll be nothing to live for!' Rose said in mock desperation.

Riley continued to look at the tree and the overcast sky behind it, wondering if his greating had woo'd the girl yet. Probably. He was pretty good at that by now. He didn't have a big head or anything, that was just self-confidence. She then replied back with a 'hey'. Hmmm...that was odd. Most of the girls here at Hogwarts started to let their mouths run as if he really cared. They would seriously talk and talk until you told them to shut it, or you left; this girl was different it seemed.
Another moment of silence went on, a formation of geese flew overhead, honking on their way south. Then he hear the girl, a tad younger than he was he assumed, say she hated it here. "You hate Hogwarts?" he tuned to look at her, a look of concern forming on his face. Well granted she may be knew, he hated the school when he first got here, there were no personal house-elves for the students use and they had to do everything for themselves but Riley had grown fond of the scool now, he found its manual labor -- quaint.
"Well you'll warm up to it soon enough, probably when it's too late. I'm a seventh year this term and I'm sure as Merlin going to miss it." he sighed and watched as she leaned back to lay on the rock. Shrugging he did so too, might aswell not look like the fool sitting up. There he was beside her now, looking at the cloudy sky. "I'm Riley by the way."

Oh, merciful silence. A person who appreciated silence. This guy right here must be a gift from Merlin for her good behaviour and pleasant ways. Hehe. Closing her eyes as a draft of wind suddenly picked up, Ryden just barely caught the boy's - man's? manboy's - words. Cracking one eye open, she inched a little away from him as she saw that he was lying down to join her. Against the glaring gray of the sky, it was rather difficult to see him and she squinted.
What would Bridget say if she saw her now? Lying on a rock with an older manboy, her twin sister would flail and freak and demand from her to retreat. Stupid Bridget with her perfect life and her perfect world and her perfect family... Well, almost perfect. Idge still had her and Father and they were anything BUT perfect. But besides that, Bridget pretty much had it all.
He was a seventh year? Aww, shucks. But if Silent Manboy over here said he was going to miss Hogwarts, then perhaps there was something that the brunette was missing. "I suppose one gets used to everything in the end..." she shrugged, but smiled at him. It was her own little special way of saying that yes, she'd probably like it soon enough. But manboy over here wouldn't know that. Eh.
"Ryden, nice to meet you," she said, and held her hand up, grinning at how weird it felt to hold out her hand when she was lying down.

" Good, now I will root for Gryffindor, but for Rose and you a lot" Willaim told Kurumi." I did not mean going out of HogWarts unless it is the Three Broomsticks and the candy shop" William explained to Kurumi."Did Rose tell you her new or good news?" William asked Kurumi.

" You are welcome for the clarification" Willaim told Presley. " Now before we get to you hitting the softball, we need to do something else first' Willian explained to Presley. " I will show you how to run the bases after you hit the ball" William said to Presley.
" Nice to meet you Rachel" William smiled.
"Alright! Let's go!" Presley was pumped to show Rachel her new skills. She felt like the bomb! She didn't know what in the world bases were, but she had learned that suprise didn't really help her case in how smart she felt.

Ok, I just have to happen to have bases in my bag" William told Presley. William put the bases in a diamond. 60 feet from each other and here is a home palte, it is triangular" William said to Presley. " Now, if you hit a single, you run to first base from homeplate, to your right, double, two bases, triple, three bases and homerun, all four bases" William explained to Presley. " Just run to first base right now from home" William smiled.

Nika smiled at him. Of course a few girls would have asked him to dance. He just had so many friends. Willie is such a popular guy. "Erm, well Rex taught me once last term. I think I remember a bit." She said softly.

Presley dashed to the base. She was a good runner and she knew it. She hoped that running was a bigger part of the game than batting. She wasn't very good at that one. "A homerun is when you get back to.." Pres struggled for the word. "Homeplate?" finally coming up with it, she directed her question to her teacher. She wasn't sure if homeplate counted as a base, because, she started on it.
"It's okay I'm not going to be as good as you either way." She said laughing. "Yeah, a refresher would be good."
" Well, we will be doing the Waltz" William told Nika. Now If I remember corrextly, our legs are slightly apart and your left hand is in my right ark above our shoulders in a line" William said to Nika. "Does this sound right?" William asked Nika." Then we glise across the floor" William finished his explanation of the Waltz. 'Are you ready?' William asked Nika.

" Now prerend you hit a double, what base would you be standing on after you hit the ball?" William asked Presley. " How about a triple?' William asked Presley."Show me the double and triple by running to those bases" William smiled.
