Just a quick reminder about this thread:

None of the Quidditch equipment is available for use. All you can use is a broom from the Broomshed or you can use your own broom.

The only time that Quidditch equipment is available, is when a captain reserves the pitch for practice.

Rose grabbed her broom from the broomshed and ran out to the pitch anxious to fly again! She put her broom on the floor and said 'Up!' firmly and the broomstick shot into her hand. She mounted it carefully, making sure she wasn't bending it and pushed her foot off the ground. She flew into the air and was delighted by the wind soaring through her hair. Luckily she had put it up! It would've been all over her face then! She grinned as she raced around the pitch and slowed down, just in case the broom needed a rest! Yes, what if it's alive? Ooooh!

Willaim threw the make shift Quaffle. " Ok, you know what to do with the Quaffle" Willaim told Presley. " THen Cove should join us, too" William said to Presley.

" I see you are practicing" William said to Rose. " I am teaching Presley and Cove how to play Quidditch" William told Rose. "Do you want to help them, too?" William asked Rose.

Presley caught the ball with the very tips of her fingers, and struggled to stay on the broom. This was all about practice, and Pres needed a lot. She threw the ball toward Cove. "Cove, heads up!" she called out.

" Very good" Wiliam told Presley. " Now next time I will play Keeper" William said to Presley. " Get the Quaflle" William called out to Cove.

'Yeah, sure!' Rose grinned 'Hey, you haven't introduced me to Cove!' Rose laughed

" Cove is the one who is the surfer from Gryffindor" William told Rose. " Cove, this is Rose, Rose meet Cove" William introduced them to each other. " Glad you want to play" Willaim said to Rose.

Hi, Rose!" Presley smiled at the girl. "Are you joining us?" Four players was always better than three, because then they could have even teams.

'Hey, Cove, nice t'meetcha!' ROse grinned 'I would shake your hand but I'm afraid, that I might fall off, 'cause I've only just learnt that!' Rose grimaced 'I'm not that confident with it yet! See?' Rose said as she took her hand off the broomstick and was amazed she still stayed up. 'Wow! I'm doing it!' Rose said as she flew around the pitch doing it.
'Yep, I'm joining!' Rose grinned 'What are the teams?' Rose asked

"We haven't split teams yet, actually." Presley explained. "We're just throwing the quaffle right now."

" You look good up here" Wiliam told Rose. Would you like to play on my team or against me?" Wiliam asked Rose. " You might want to beat yoru boyfreind" William laughed.

"Do you want teams?" Wiliam asked Presley. " You learn quickly" William said to Presley. " we need to see how Cove throwa the quaffle" William explained to Presley.

'Oh, right...' Rose blushed at her stupidity
'Well, I reckon if Presley and Cove haven't played before I should go on one team with either Presley or Cove, and you could go on the other with Presley or Cove!' Rose grinned 'Does that make sense?' SHe asked as it hadn't made a lot of sense to her 'We'll definitely beat you!' Rose said, as being competitive was one thing she was good at!

"I know how to play, but I'm not good at it," Presley explained to Rose. "Maybe we should do you and I on a team, and Cove and William, because Cove has never played, and William is good, whereas I have limited experience." Presley hoped her complicated explanation made sense. Truth be told, she didn't even really understand what she was trying to say. Besides, Rose seemed like a competitive type, just like Pres. This was gonna be excellent.

Hugo walked up to the pitch, holding his Firebolt 600. It was a beauty, and this year he was finally going to use it. He left footsteps in the snow as he walked further, mounting his broom. He had really gotten better over the last year or so. And bloody fast. ZOOOOF off he was.

" Yes, that makes sense" Wiliam told Rose. " You will not beat my partner and myself" William said to Rose. His competiveness is really coming out now. " You think I played great in tryouts, you hav e not seen anyhing yet dear" William laughed as he explasined this to Rose.

" You learn quickly" Wiliam told Presley once again. " Good, Cove and I are on the same team" William told Presley." You two are going down" Wiliam laughed.

"Yeah right!" Presley scoffed. "We're going to slaughter them, right Rose?" Presley was always up for a challenge, and this presented a brilliant one. Somehow she always seemed to discover her true abilities when they were challenged, like now. She couldn't stand to lose, and she would be the first to admit to being a sore loser. She could get over it...in time, but she would never forget it, and would have to make up for losing somehow. This time would be no different.

Cove caught the quaffle in her right hand and threw it back at Presley. She was barely paying attention, being as she zoned out for a bit.

Then William said she was the surfer from Gryffindor and introduced her to his.......girldfriend? "Oh, hello, Rose. It's nice to meet you." She said.

"Teams, sweet. Who against who?" Cove asked. All she heard was teams. Focus Cove, focus. She told herself.

" Bring it on now" William told Presley. " Cove and I are going to fly circles around you" William said to Presley. " I like a good match" Wiliam explained to Presley.

" You and I against Rose and Presley" Willliam told her. "Are you ready?" William asked Cove.

This time Presley deftly caught the ball, and looked down at it in suprise. "I caught it!" she called jubulantly before remembering that she was supposed to be acting like she could possibly beat William and Cove. "Yeah! I'm getting better already!" she grinned.

"Okay. If you say so," Pres deliberately infused her voice with a disbelieving tone. She and Rose would beat these two no problem. Presley had just caught the ball without really trying. This was going to be a peice of cake. "I like a good match as well. Too bad this is going to be the easiest game ever played because Rose and I can beat you in minutes." She couldn't help it, he'd left himself wide open for that remark. It was an easy target to hit, and she'd done it. Feeling pretty proud of herself, Presley tossed the ball to Rose.

" Of course, I say so" William told Presley. " We will see who wins" William said to Preley. " Now the first thing that comes to us is the Bludger" William said to Presley. "This is for the beaters with their bats" Wiliam explained to Presley and Cove. He handed Cove her bat. "Did I forget to tell you about the Beaters postion?" William asked Presley " Very bad of me" Willaim grinned evilly.

'Oh, yeah! For sure!' Rose grinned competitively. Rose caught the ball in one flourished move and chucked it to William.

'Hey, Cove, sorry we have to meet as we're about to crush you!' Rose laughed
'Well, if you have a bat you have to hit the mock bludger if it comes towards me or you, and aim it at Cove or William!' Rose explained 'Wait, we don't have a bludger do we?'

Daisy walked onto the practice pitch. Quidditch air. It felt so fresh and clean. Ok, so Daisy was probably going mad, but she couldn't help sighing happily as she walked on with her broom. The pitch was buisier than last time she was on here, but the quidditch season had started now. Daisy still wanted to practise if she was going to keep her fitness and stay on the team next year. All Daisy had was her own beaters bat, which she had owned for ages, but even without a bludger, she still needed to practise flying one handed.

She mounted her broom, cursing the cold that stopped her attenting team tryouts, and kicked into the air....

It was colder than Daisy had expected, but that wasn't really a problem, as it was just so great to be on the pitch again. From a distance, she could see Rose and some other people, but Daisy was tired and not really in the mood to say hi. So she started off doing a couple of laps of the pitch, looking over the lake and up to the mountains. Daisy wasn't really a scenery kind of person, but she had to admit, this was pretty.

"You forget, I've been watching Quidditch since I was too young to know what it was," Presley tossed back. "I know what beaters do. I'm not worried. On the other hand, I don't think Cove does..." Presley grinned wickedly. This was going to be a breeze. Cove knew nothing about quidditch, William was good. On the other hand, so was Rose, and Presley was at least half-decent. Presley turned to Rose, "Do you want to be beater, or shall I?"

"I like flying in circles." Cove said stupidly. "Alright, we're so gonna beat them........maybe." She said. She barely knew anything about Quidditch and yet he expected them to win?

Cove watched as Pres caught the makeshift quaffle. "Nice." She said.

"OOOOOHHHH BASEBALL BAT!" Cove exclaimed. She grabbed the bat And stood up on her broom. She swung the bat as if she was in a baseball game. "I could pull this off." Cove said sitting back on her broom properly. "I play a lot of sports."

"That's okay!" Cove said to Rose. "Hey! Don't aim things at my head, I kind of need it!"

"I think I can figure out what a beater does

" Thanks for the Quaffle" Wiliam told Rose. " This is not a mock bludger just like it was not a mock Quaffle" Wiliam said to Rose. 'Did I forget to tall you that Cove is really into sports?" William asked Rose.
" Watching is good but playing like I do is better" William gave a crooked smile to Presley." I do not know if you heard me that Cove is into sports" Willliam
said to Presley. " Remeber, you are learning baseball and American football from me and you are an athelete just like Cove" William explained to Presley.

" Well, we actually fly in straight lines" William told Cove. " Flying in circles" Is just a term that is used to tell the other team we are going to win" William explained to Cove. " You will do just fine" William said to Cove. "Did I say fine, I eant great" William smiled.
