SPOILER!!: Aurora and city_girl_95 Did it matter if they had house colors on them? What did matter was what Rora just said about the common rooms. Wait, seriously? For the love of Merlin, did they have to wander around to each common room!? Yet, the others, they weren't doing that. Which was a bit of relief actually... Staring at the map, her eyes flicked to each of the coins, and then the words. Make a wish. "Who needs to learn some respect now?" she muttered, glancing to Rora out of the corner of her eyes. She had something against Gryffindors? And how many Gryffindors did that include? Ignoring the talk about sleeping beauty, Evelyn turned her attention to the map once more. ... Well alright, she was listening, and she was rather tempted to correct the young girl. Spinny wheels? PLEASE. Everyone knew sleeping beauty was about the girl dying after eating the apple a dragon gave her. Eesh. Evelyn jumped slightly when Rora yelled out, and gave her a MIGHTY SCOWL. It was a nice thought though, so she couldn't really argue with her. "Might as well try it out." |
Quote:
Uhm, it's a muggle fairy tale she nodded, about a beautiful princess who pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and she falls into a deep sleep and is woken up with by a prince with true-loves-kiss she said, saying the last few words slightly dreamily. OOOOH. YEAH. Amy looked down at the map, okay, so if I look, you throw? |

"Ooh, so I'm a princess?" Aurora smiled. "Cool... shame about the true-loves-kiss thing. That must be one powerful love potion." she said, laughing a little. "Great! You read out the order and we'll throw them in." Aurora held the coins in her hands. Blue in left hand and red in right and waited for Amy to read out the colours. |

Sitting up, Charlie looked around dazed. Well. That could have gone better. Char looked to Braeden, hoping he didn't see. Seeing as they hadn't seen each other in ages. That would be embarrassing. |
Bang! Oops. There was a post there. Mikey shrugged it off and continued running down the corridor dodging the passing students and finally got to the couryard. And yet he wasn't out of breath. That worked how? But then it may have been his adrenaline or even just the amount of sugar he'd had before he went running to the courtyard. Quick and easy way to lose weight, go running. But running was only good when he was hyper up. He only had the energy then. The little first year went and laid down on his back on one of the empty concrete benches, staring up at the blue sky. |
Quote:
He decided to follow the kid... you know, "Hey. You okay?" he asked jogging over to the kid who was now lying on a bench. Hopefully the boy hadn't knocked himself out. |

MERLIN'S SAGGY SOCKS! With brown eyes wide as saucers, Braeden flailed about for a moment, completely startled at the sound of his name. Unable to keep his balance as he sat up far too quickly, the boy ended up falling back from the stone bench, landing on his back while his legs remained on the bench. Ouch. "Aaarghh..." As he rubbed the back of his head and pulled his legs down from the bench, Braeden looked around for the source of his earlier freak out. It was at that moment that he spotted a short girl with bright, almost-white, short blonde hair. His eyes nearly fell from their sockets. "Charlie?" he asked disbelievingly, scrambling up to his feet and wiping the dirt off his uniform for a brief second before rushing over to the girl and taking her arm, helping her up to her feet. But of course. Of course they would reunite in the clumsiest of ways humanly possible: with her in a puddle of mud, and him slipping from his bench to the floor. Of course. |

Are you sure Carter's not half snake? Quote:
He shrugged it off and moved over so the older boy could sit down. Hmm. Yeah. What to say next? That was the question. Mikey looked at him and half-smiled. "I'm Mikey by the way...Or to you now the boy who ran into a post" he replied feeling sure that was how he or this conversation was going to be remembered. Or maybe the boy would even go and laugh about it with his funny friends.Who knew? |
Quote:
Great. This was just what she needed. To be completely covered in mud and for him to have fallen . . . "Oh Braeden! Are you okay? Did you hit your head? Do you need to be taken to the nurse? Oh Merlin, I am soo sorry!" Her hands flew to her face in mortification. This was just perfect. Hazel eyes peeked out between long fingers before drawing closed in a wince. "I really am sorry." |

"Ye--yeah, I, uh… got a bit of sun over the break…" he said with a soft, awkward chuckle. He was swinging his arms by his sides awkwardly, finding that he suddenly needed something solid to hold just to keep himself busy. Oh, this was a bit uncomfortable… What had happened?! Even before dating, they got along wonderfully. They were great friends. "So…" he spoke again after a moment's silence, clearing his throat. "How've you been? I feel like I haven't seen you in years! You look… well, you look great," the boy confessed honestly with one of his trademark lopsided grins. |
hahaha, the personalities of many have just rubbed off on him XD Quote:
He took the seat next to him. "Carter." he said holding out his hand for the younger boy to shake. "And don't worry. That little nickname will be safe with me." Although, he may have to snicker every time he saw the little kid. But he often did that every time he saw Destiny. So... no big deal. "Where were you off to in such a hurry?" he asked. Perhaps this bench was popular among the lower classmen? |
Quote:
Why are you so nervous? asked the little voice which Charlie called Shudup. But it never did. "Soo. . . How was things this break?" Her toe dug into the dirt. This was Braeden. The person that she automatically got along with. and had missed all summer. Get it together, Char. She then realized something, they were standing where they had first met. Or, to be exact, she had been tripped over and he had been the person to trip. Charlie smiled a soft smile. Good times. "By the way. Whatever happened to you coming 'round my place all summer as we live so close to each other? Or, if memory serves, 'being like gum under my shoes'?" Char smiled at the lion cub, finally meeting his eyes. |
Ronnie walked into the courtyard by herself and walked around a bit. She really didn't know what she was doing really, just walking around....by herself... |

sorry for the super late reply. Quote:
Yeah, being half has its own perks. If there is one thing Jonathan hates then it's MESS, well, he's also not a big fan of dirt but he can't stand anything messy. He probably would go blind instead. "Don't you guys use magic to clean?" that's what he does. Everytime he goes out all he does is to flick his wand and the things will just go back into place. Easy and simple. "I have been in love with potions least to say" he chuckled. It's true. Ever since he was young all he does was read Potions book and Jonathan doesn't like reading. Besides, Lafay doesn't bite. He perfectly likes how Lafay teaches. She may be a complete terror but so what? Lafay treats Jonathan nicely."Are you scared of her?" he arched an eyebrow. She could be you know, many students are afraid of the Potions lady. Wow. She plays the piano too? Awesome. "At least, we have something in common" he mumbled. Now, he knows something a little bit about Cass. Jonathan smiled as she backed away. "What?" he said "I'm not the kind of guy." Just so she wants to know. |
Quote:
"How come?" She asked curiously, she liked potions well enough, well, it was one of the subjects she enjoyed, but she wouldn't go as far as declaring her love for it... Then she nodded, hiding her face with the cascade of hair that had covered it, she was never one to admit weakness and all that, and fear of Lafay was definitely a weakness, one that she shared with most of the population of Hogwarts "Terribly afraid to be honest." She admitted "I'm not sure why though...I guess I just find her intimidating." Then she tucked her hair back behind her ears and eyed him curiously "You make it sound like we're complete opposites." She said, her tone teasing, but a frown on her face She smiled softly, not quite reaching her eyes though, "That's nice to know. I appreciate it." Then she added "What kind of guy are you then?" |

Being laughed at was not his best thing. He'd been laughed at by a lot of people and none of them people he could laugh along with. He hoped Carter wouldn't be one of them. "Nice meeting you, Carter" he replied shaking his hand. He let go and allowed his hand to fall to his side. "The nickname will be a secret until the next person watches me smack into a post and almost knock myself out. Too much sugar doesn't help matters" Sugar was his weak point. He was addicted to the stuff. Candy mostly. Mikey shrugged. "Nowhere in particular, I was meant to be just wondering around but I ended up running instead" he repleid. Again, too much sugar made him hyper. And gave him a little too much energy for his own good. Too much energy led to trouble where Mikey was concerned. |
Quote:
"Well perhaps next time you should wait until you reach your destination before you indulge in sugar." he suggested with a chuckle. "Or... you know, not run through the halls." Either way worked. He returned the shrug. "I've done that too from time to time." he said. Of course, he hadn't ever run unto a post doing it. He had taken a wrong turn once and ended up walking into a wall behind a tapestry thinking it was a corridor. He was glad he hadn't been running at the time. Of course, he probably should have been. He had been late to class that day. |
Quote:
He smiled. "Or I can do better than both and quit sugar all together" Yeah that sounded like a great idea. Then he couldn't get too excited and run into anything else whilst on a sugar high. He was sure he was the only first year to indulge in so much sugar. Mikey sighed and crossed his legs on the bench. Meh. This conversation actually was pretty good. Considering he felt awkward around the older boy. A little boy with a big boy? It was kinda shocking seeing as he was always picked on by the big boys. "I think everyone has at least once in their lives" he replied. But that was just what he thought. |
SPOILER!!: heehee ELLA<3 Weird, how cleaning is tiring. At least not to Jonathan. Maybe it's because of his ability to put things back into proper places or the fact that he never likes a messy room. But it's okay, as long as they don't end up fighting whoever owns something. You know how girls are sometimes. "That's really fun" he said after Cass mentioned about how they never ran out of things to wear. Jonathan remembered how he sent his mom a letter to bring him trench coats for spring because he forgot to bring them. Truth be told, London doesn't get too hot unlike other countries. "Well, every since i was about 7 or 8 my uncle gave me a potions book on my birthday" he smiled at that thought. At that age, Jonathan never really cared about reading such books. The cover itself looked boring and why would he give his own 8 year old nephew a potions book anyway. Weird. "At first, I thought it was a stupid book" yeah, he even said it after opening his uncles gift. "But he told me that Potions was a complex subject to be learned at Hogwarts. Plus he also told me that potions masters were scarier and head of the Slytherin House" he chuckled "eventually i read it and then i guess the rest is history" he sighed. Thank you uncle Timothy. Jonathan then has always been fond of Lafay even with her 'intimidating side' so as Cass said. "Everyone in school thinks ALL Slytherins are intimidating" he laughed softly. Surely everyone knows that, even Slytherins themselves. Another sigh. What kind of guy is Jonathan? Besides from his OCD behavior what else is there for him? "For starters, I don't like saying 'i'm nice' just so i could impress someone i like" he smiled at that thought because probably that is something guys would always say to a girl they like. "Technically I can be but not to everyone perhaps" he chuckled this time. Jonathan is quite nicer to most Slytherins than to other houses. He doesn't mingle that much so he barely know students from other houses. "My parents raised me right so i guess I'm not really a bad person" the thing is when it comes to those types of questions, Jonathan can not fully answer it. Maybe his friends can but not him. |
Quote:
"Oh, you wouldn't want that." Carter said immediately after the boy suggested he quit sugar altogether. "That would be a fate worse than death if you ask me." And even if he wasn't going to ask, Carter was going to say it anyway. Looking at the kid Carter had the strange urge to ruffle his hair. Why? Mostly because that's what he thought you did to younger boys. You ruffled their hair, gave them girl advice, and went on with your day. He just hadn't known many first years to do that too. |
SPOILER!!: Myka's clean freak XD "It is." Cass said happily, refraining from suggesting to Jonathan that they try it as well. It would just be weird to see guys sharing clothes and all that. She had to keep herself from shuddering at the thought. Who would give an 8-year-old boy a potions book? Oh well, each to his own. "Wow, that's really awesome. I never really cared much for potions until I was 10, the way everything needs to be precise just appealed to me." She answered with a careless shrug and a smile "Before that - until now actually - I've always been the kind of girl who clung to books more." It was probably the reason why she absolutely adored History of Magic. "Yes, it sucks, but that's what some of us live up to, while others try to break free from it." She answered softly, her eyes downcast when she remembered that time a girl - an incoming first year - found out she was from Slytherin, that girl said she was surprised to see a decent Slytherin, then walked off. It turned out, she got sorted into Gryffindor. Good for her. Then she grinned, trying to shake the sad topic off "But oh well, at least we can pull a few strings around school..with everyone afraid of us and all that." Yes, calling favors was way easier when you were a Slytherin. "None of us are really all that nice." She answered jokingly. That role - being sickly nice - was reserved for Hufflepuffs. "But we are decent people." Then she smiled at him. As in really smiled. The smile that she usually reserved for Fee, Freya or Heather. "You seem like a really nice person." She said sincerely "And I would really like to get to know you better." |
