Thea looked at her own chocolate frog card. She was pretty certain a card could never switch her mood like that.. but Nika was erm.. different? Heheh.
Shrugging her shoulders, Thea yawned. 'Anything you like, I don't mind.' She grinned at th older lion, shrugging her shoulders again. Hearing a small 'Mee-aaa-Uff-ow!' behind her, Thea spun round tosee Henry trotting towards her. Scooping him up, she scratched his head as she turned back to Nika. 'Aaand, I think Henry would like to join us..' She giggled.

Nika raised an eyebrow at the sound of a... noise? It was an animal noise? She raised an eyebrow at Thea and watched as her friend scooped up a.... cat? Nika's hands went straight to her cheeks and she wore a "aawww" sort of expression. "He's soooooo cute!!" What did Thea say his name was again? "Henry I'm Nika!" She talks to animals? Yes, yes she does. "Is Henry yours?"

Henry began to purr like some sort of engine as Nika spoke to him. Thea grinned and nodded her head. 'Yeah! Do you not have an animal with you?' Hitching Henry up a bit more, he clambered onto his usual spot on her shoulder, purring in her ear.

Nika reached out a hand to pet Henry, but she decided that she better ask first. What if Henry doesn't like to be petted? "Can I pet him?" She asked slowly looking at the cat. "No, sadly I don't." She shook her head and shrugged. "I really love animals and I want to get a pet so so so bad! I want to get a puppy, but I don't think they are allowed at Hogwarts." She said with a long sigh. A cat would be nice too, but she really wanted a puppy more than anything.

Thea nodded as Henry's purrs grew louder. 'Yeah, course you can.. he likes you.' She grinned. She clapped her hands. 'We have two dogs at home!' She nodded. 'I'll show you pictures some time.. and of my horse too!' Thea's grin got bigger.

Nika gladly reached over again to pet Henry. OOOHHH soft! She smiled as she listened to Thea. Wait what? "A cat, two dogs, and a horse? Any other pets?" She said chuckling. "But wow. A horse! Do you ride?"

Thea chuckled as Henry now closed his eyes and purred louder than she had heard him purr before. Weirdo cat...
'Um.. we have three chickens and an owl too!' She smiled. Thea had no idea if she sounded spoilt or not.. merh. 'But.. Henry found me when I was little. He just wandered inot our garden one day and wouldn't leave me alone..' She smiled. 'And we found Duke and somebody gave us Violet when she was born.' Thea smiled again. 'Yep. He's quite naughty though..' She had had a few injuries from her pal, Prince. 'So yeah.. I have to live with six brothers and animals too...' Scratching her lip, she looked up at Thea. 'I'm not spoilt.. honest! We all get treated the same and we don't get totally huge presents at Christams and stuff 'cause there's so many of us!' She chewed her lip. 'But we don't mind...' She smiled, sheepishly.

Trying to veer off the subject off her slightly she asked Nika a question. 'Do you have any brothers or sisters? No animals at home at all?' Thea put a squirming Henry down onto the floor. She grinned as he immediantly wandered over to Nika and rubbed himself against her legs, purring like mad. 'Wow, he likes you a lot.. he normally doesn't like many people.' She watched the little cat, smiling. 'He's getting old now!'

Nika smiled, "Wow! That's really cool." She sighed with longing. Maybe one day Nika would get a pet to. If she could just save up her money maybe she could get one for herself from diagon alley.

"Yeah, I have a sister but we aren't getting along too well at the moment." She said the last bit rather quietly. It was hard for her to talk about what was going on with her sister. Especially because it made her feel like such a hypocrite. She almost felt guilty. "No, no animals. Sometimes my sister acted like a money, but other than that no. I want to buy a pet though. Maybe even adopt one!" She said with a smile as she looked down to see Henry rubbing himself against her. "Awww! I love animals so much." She bent down a little as she looked at Henry. "If I ever get a pet I hope he's as nice as you Henry."

Nodding, Thea began to chew her lip again. Clearly, another difficult topic: Nika's sister. 'Oh, is she older or younger than you?' She scratched her nose, wrinkling it slightly. 'I don't get on with my brothers all of the time.. and I'm the only girl apart from my Mam.' She grinned then, it was good not being the youngest anymore. 'Marley's all serious now 'cause he has exams.. or is doing exams.. I'm not sure.' And if she was honest, she really didn't care. He was a pain at the moment..
Thea raised an eyebrow. 'He isn't this nice all the time..' She looked down at the little cat. 'He's getting old now.. and a bit grumpy.' She looked up to smile at Nika.
'So.. what's happened to you and your sister? You don't have to tell me though.' She hadded quickly. 'I'm just saying.. if it'll help, you can talk to me!' Thea smiled. Personally.. she wouldn't talk about it if one of her brothers were being idiots... because they'd probably fight it out. She let out a small snort.

Nika kept her smile knowing that it wouldn't do any good to be upset again. She didn't want to be unhappy because it was so unlike her. "She's younger, by two years." Nika replied softly. She liked hearing stories about Thea's brothers. In truth Nika always wanted a brother, even though everyone always complained about theirs. "Is it hard being the only girl?" She asked arching an eyebrow.

Here comes the question. That question. Nika's always so good about masking her sadness when it comes to her sister because it never comes up. However when it does sometimes she's not able to control herself. But she kept telling herself that she would break down. Not this time. Not in front of Thea. "Well she's a muggle like the rest of my family and I think she gets a bit envious of my magic." She explained. "We used to share everything, do everything together, and we were always with each other. But now the one thing we can't share is magic. It's torn us apart. She hates it when I have to leave to go here." She said looking at her feet. "She even asked me not to come back. But I told her I couldn't do that." This is why she felt like such a hypocrite. She didn't want Emily to leave her, but when she had to leave her sister she did. "We were getting along over the summer, but when it came closer to school time she started getting cold again." Nika said with a shrug.

Thea shrugged. 'Not really. I know I've always got someone to back me up if someone's being mean.. but that never happens really.' She smiled. 'People know we're related. In our Muggle school, the older kids used to speak to me cause they knew I was their sister.' That had been nice. Her friends had been impressed with that.. she didn't really get why. 'Used to be irritating when I had friends over though. They'd go all shy and giggly even when they just came into the room!' Thea rolled her eyes, remembering.
Thea smiled as Nika told her about her sister, but saw she still looked sad. 'What's her name?' She asked quietly. ' My little brother's seven. He's a little troll.. like the rest of them really.' Thea smiled again. She had to admit, Seth was amusing at times but most of the time she disliked him quite a bit. Raising an eyebrow, Thea cocked her head to the side listening. 'I couldn't be dealing with that! I'd be awful if that was me!' Thea smiled gently. 'Your good to put up with that! It's her in the wrong!' Thea knew she was being a bit harsh.. but she couldn't help it! Reaching out, she squeezed Nika's shoulder. 'It'll be okay, she'll be fine when you get back!' Thea grinned. 'Would she not like it if you wrote to her?' Thea suggested. 'Seth loves reading our letters we send to Mam.'

Nika smiled at Thea. It sounded like a lot of fun having brothers. Even if they could be annoying at times an older brother would be so much fun to be around. "My sister's name is May." She said with a sweet smile. Oh how she missed May. Even if the two weren't getting along Nika still missed her. "I tried sending her an owl." She admitted blushing remembering the incident. She couldn't even figure out how to send one so a first year had to come to the rescue and teacher her. "She never replied though. I think she prefers the muggle way of doing it." Nika explained slowly. "I don't blame her. Email is a whole lot easier" She thought to herself.

"I don't know I guess she's not really used to the magic way yet. I don't know if she'll ever be, but maybe in a few years she'll learn to adjust and she won't argue with me anymore." She said optimistically. "Seth? Is that your younger brother?"

Maaaay. Nika and May. Ooh. 'Naw, that's a pretty name!' Thea smiled at the older Gryffindor. She could tell by the look in her eyes that she missed her little sister. Thea did not miss Seth. She shuddered. Little monster...
'Oh.. well I guess Seth wouldn't reply if we sent one directly to him.. it's Mam that replies.' She shrugged.
Thea frowned slightly. 'Yes.. he's ten.' She smiled again. 'I was secretly hoping he was going to be the backward kid of the family and not have any magic.. but no such luck.' Thea rolled her eyes, and without realising what she was doing rubbed the back of her shoulder. She could still see the horrors that her and her older brothers rooms had become.. [B]'When he gets mad things start flying everywhere! Mine and my brothers rooms were a mess! 'Cause it hadn't been them that had upset him or anything... heheh.

Nika smiled and twisted a strand of hair around a finger, "So does that mean he's coming to Hogwarts next year?" She asked curiously. She laughed as Thea commented on him. "If you don't want him I'll take him. I've always wanted a brother." She said joking around. But it was true, she did want a brother. Even if she wanted an older brother, a younger brother would be alright too.

Thea shook her head. 'Nope, he's only seven.' Bleurgh, but yes Seth would be coming to Hogwarts.. soon -.-.
Thea's eyes widened and she shook her head. 'Yes. You can have him if you like!' She giggled. Mam always said that she'd never ever give any of them away.. no matter how much she would like to.. Heheh. Thea's smile fell a little bit as Nika tried to make a joke about her wanting a brother. 'A little sister is way better than having six brothers.. really.' Thea crossed her arms. 'Sometimes I do not know how we're all related.. but we all look strangely similar.' She smiled at Nika.

Nika nodded her head showing she understood. "So he'll be in his first year when...." She starting ticking off her fingers as she counted. "When your in your fifth year?" Eh, who knows. Math is not fun and she doesn't plan on recounting. Enough math for one day. "But little brothers are fun! Little sisters are fun too, until they start hating you because you leave them to go to Hogwarts." She said the last bit in a low murmur before returning to cheerful again. "How old are your other brothers?" She asked couriousily.

Thea then herself started to tick off her own fingers. 'Um.. Yeah! That's right.' Thea smiled. Scratching her nose she heard the last part of what Nika said, but pretended she hadn't. 'I suppose he is sometimes, yeah.' She shrugged. Thea fronwed a little. 'Um.. Hank, Julian and Jared are twelve.. Leo-Alix is fourteen aaaand..' Thea had to think.. woopsies. 'Marley-Jacob is.. sixteen!' Thea nodded, yes that was right.
Suddenly, Thea had a thought. 'How old did you say May was?' She asked. ''Cause she might have magic in her blood.. but she might have not shown it yet?' Thea cocked her head to the side.

Nika cocked her head to the side as Thea started listing all of her brothers and their ages. "Wow." Lots and lots of siblings. "At least you'll never get bored?" Must be one crazy family. "Do any of them like to pull pranks?" That would be even more fun. Or were her brothers more reserved...? "May is ten, but she's turning eleven in June." She replied absentmindedly. "I asked one of my friends last term if there was a chance of her being magical, but she said normally kids show their powers around seven." She let out a long sigh. It just wasn't meant to happen that way. "Soooo Thea. Anything new?" She asked with a smile. "Any boys I should know about?" *eyebrow wiggle*

Thea rolled her eyes. 'I seriously do not know what was wrong with my parents when they named us..' Thea grinned. 'All of them do really.. the triplets most.' Thea frowned. 'They're a bunch of freaks..' she laughed. Pulling up her shirt, she turned to show Nika the long scar on her back. 'This is what triplets do to you..' Wincing slightly at the memory she let her shirt fall. 'Hank, Juilan and Jared are out of control.. seriously.' Again, Thea rolled her eyes at the names.
Thea nodded. 'Somehow I cast a Patronus when I was little with my dad's wand..' Thea smiled. 'I can't really remember but dad told me. So at least I know my Patronus is an elephant!' She giggled.
Thea wrinkled her nose. 'New? Na.. not really. The smiled weakly when Nika mentioned boys. She hadn't seen Matt for ages.. it was like he had dissappeared! 'Nope.. none!' She shugged. 'Anything new with you?' Thea grinned. There was nearly always something new with Nikakaka.

Nika chuckled as Thea joked around. Surely her brothers aren't that bad. "Well the good thing about having a brother is that they teach you stuff like Quidditch!" She said remembering their conversation from Diagon Alley way back when before the term even started! "Wow, a patronus!" She still had no idea what that was, but during the DADA help meeting Kurumi brought it up and she said it was very difficult to do. Nika shrugged absentmindedly trying to think of what was new for her. "Well... my friend taught me how to walk in heels!" She said suddenly. That was big news. "I think I still have a couple of the bruises." She said with a slight giggle.

Shrugging, Thea grinned as Nika mentioned their conversation from Diagon Alley! 'Hm.. yeah I suppose..' Thea then raised an eyebrow. [B]'Need I remind you that I also told you about all the injuries I got from my brothers' teachings'? Thea smirked.
'Yeah, but it was by accident.. so it didn't mean much!' Thea shrugged, again. Thea grinned, and clapped her hands. 'Oh wow! That sounds fun.' Thea nodded her head. 'Not the bruises.. obviously.' Heheh. Thea giggled.

Nika smiled and then looked around. GAH! Why doesn't she wear a watch! Nika looked up at Thea again and smiled some more. "I should really get a watch! I never know what time it is!" She looked around again and decided it was time to go work on some ugh... homework. "Well I better get going Thea. It was really fun getting to attack you by surprise." Hehe. "We should hang out soon, kay?"

Thea nodded, once again glancing at the crazy portrait witch. 'Ok, it's fine. I'ma creep off while she's asleep..' Thea grinned. 'And yeeees, it was fun!' Thea began backing off slowly. 'I'll see you later!' Grabbing her bag, she walked away quickly incase the witch woke up.

Ness had decided to ake Puffles for a walk around the castle.She thought that it would maybe clear her mind a bit. She was bussy walking on the first floor corridor when she heard a potrait greet her 'hello". "Um.. hello!"she said back hoping no one was around to hear or see her. She started walking again,but thenthe potrait spoke."How are you doing?"Ness wished she could ignore it it , but she knew that was rude.'Um.. Im fine and you?" she asked feeling really stupid now.

Helena didn't have the slightest idea what she was doing, wandering around the first floor. Just taking a walk, most probably. She'd do something from the usless list of tasks from Lord Borr, but she felt tired, after all those other assignments and everything.

But then... she suddenly heard a girl, apparently talking to herself. Or maybe an imaginary friend? Hmm. Helena made a few more steps towards her, and then noticed that she was talking to a portrait. There were some really nice people drawn there, you know?

But waaaait. The girl looked slightly familiar. Helena knew her... somehow.

Oooooh! It was the girl she met last summer, around Diagon Alley. Or... wasn't she? Nessie, if Helena remembered correctly. But anyway, maybe she didn't recognize Helena, so it would've been just awkward if she just walked over there and ask her about the weather her day. So she just stood there, looking at some portraits. Juuuust in case the girl did recognize her.
