Simon smiled at Chloe. "I'm going to give Professor Lafay a hug one day maybe that would cheer her up." Simon doubted it but he would see if not then maybe Chloe's idea would be a good one though he wasn't sure about that. "No we can stay here, I'm sure the headmaster doesn't bit." Simon laughed and even if he did Simon didn't care, he couldn't be bothered to move at the minute.

"If you were to give professor Lefay a hug, you will get hexed something fierce, you know that?", Chloe responded with a chuckle. Then she was hit with suprise. "Uh, youdon't wanna go? Well alright, so what do you wanna do here? There is not much to do around here besides wait to be freaked out by talking portraits.". Just as Chloe said that she heard another voice coming from a portrait and jumped slightly. Why onEarth di Simon want to stay here?

Simon smiled at Chloe. "Hexed, well that's not bad." Simon thought about a Detention that Lafay had given him now that was scary he had thought he was going to die that day, so he knew what to expect from Lafay and wasn't scared of her anymore. "Nope I want to stay here and talk." Simon laughed he had no idea why but he wanted to just stay put for a bit, maybe it was with all the running he had done.

"Uh, okay? Since when is hexing not a bad thing. Sure the affects are temperary but knowing Professor Lefay I imagine her hexes are not something anyone would soon forget." Chloe then leaned in and whispered into Simons ear again, "Atleast with the dungbomb you can run away quickly after. And if you wanna stay here I guess I can stick it out here. So what would you like to talk about?".

Simon laughed. "Hexing is not as bad as making food come out of nowhere or making a big hole come out of nowhere." Simon sighed, he could never get that detention out of his mind and what was worse it made JD leave Hogwarts if he could ever get Professor Lafay back he would, she was a meany and he hated meanies. "Well we could talk about Quidditch, maybe we can find a Portrait that knows about Quidditch." Simon laughed.

"Oh, thats certainly true. That was your detentionlastyear, wasn't it. Youtold ne something aboutpushed Simon slightly closerto the photo a good freind of yours leaving. Lafay really deserves a bit of something. I think I may even give her something.". Anyway, quiddich. "Uh, I'im not sure. "Hello there kids. You want to talk to quiddich legend don't you?Well look no further. I am Kenneth Grobas. I played seeker for the Chudlet Cannons and led them to the cup 5 years in a row three decades ago. So do you have ay questions you dying to ask? Go ahead, I am all ears.". ."Uh, hi Kenneth, I'm Chloe, uh, Idon't know what to ask ut perhaps myfreind Simon might.". Chloe then pushed Simon slightly closer to the portrait.

Simon had been looking at Chloe. "Don't worry I have my plans which reminds me I haven't given my present to Professor Vindictus yet, I'll go and see him after I finish with you." Simon smirked, he couldn't wait to give the old guy his walking stick, he was thinking about something when suddenly he was pushed in front of a Portrait but was was odd was another Portrait was trying to get his attention, he had no idea which one to talk too so he talked to the one Chloe pushed him in front of if the other one wanted him he could throw something at him, well not really but Simon didn't care. "Well that's nothing, you should have won more." Simon was sure he heard the other portrait laugh, but ignoring it he smiled. "What's it like playing in front of huge crowds?"

Turning back to Nika she shrugged. 'She's a Healer.. well..' Thea dropped her voice to a whisper. 'Was a Healer.. obviously..' She sighed. 'She claims to recognise me? She knows my Mam form St Mungos..'

Ella shook her head. 'Anywyas, she's happy mumbling to herself for now.. what are you doing creeping aorund corridoors launching yourself on people, you loon?!' Thea crossed her arms, smiling.

Nika nodded her head and added a small "Ah." When she thought it was necessary. Right. She's been noticing that the portraits always call people over. They must get really bored sitting on a frame all day.

Oh now to explain her reason for the hug attack.... "Well erm I was erm umm..." How to phrase this without sounding like a maniac? "Well you see me and some friends are doing this hug a slytherin day and it's a competition to see who can hug the most. So basically I was making my way around the castle looking for some snakes." She said blushing. "I've gotten 16 so far!" She stated putting up her chin proudly.

While talking to Nika, Thea quickly glanced over her shoulder to make sure the witch hadn't noticed that she'd been talking to herself all this time. She didn't have to worry as she'd fallen asleep.. Phew..

She raised her eyebrows in amusment and nodded when Nika explained her reason. 'Oh, I see!' Thea giggled. 'Wow, sixteen's quite a lot! Who has the most, then?' She asked.

"Simon, thats not very...".
"Well now, I have actually caught the snitch ten games in a row. I just know that it is always beest to give your team credit first. I would be nowhere without them. Asfor you're question is rather interesting young one. To be honest it really is not all that bad. The trick is to love the game of quiddich cause when you love the game that is all that will matter to you. The people in the stands make no difference at allcause your concentration is not on them. "Thats good to know cause this will be my first year playing for my house team. So how do you get over gitters before the game?". Chloe was really rather nervous about getting out there for the first time. She may not considering there are 11 players on the team but she was pretty sureshe would at some point.

Nika puffed up her chest and straightened her robes. Yes, sixteen is a lot. Nika is quite proud of her achievement actually. Hopefully she's in the lead. It's harder than it looks, hugging slytherins. They're all so hmph. Unappreciative of her hugs. Nika's gotten at least four dirty looks. A couple angry speeches. One or two almost taking out their wands ready to whip out a curse. Yeah, it's tough stuff.

"Actually I have know idea how much the other's have gotten." She said as her cheeks became a pinker hue. Oops. Right. That's sorta important isn't it. How many the others have gotten. Nika was so caught up in her own success that she didn't even think about them. "But it's like as soon as you go looking for them they all disappear. I didn't even notice how few Slytherins there are at Hogwarts." Or maybe they all are avoiding Nika. Did Sierra spread the word?

Thea nodded, then laughed as Nika's cheeks went a pretty pink colour. She could tell she was extremely proud of her sixteen hugs..
'Oh, maybe you should try and find out how many the others have!' Thea suggested, shrugging. Shaking her head, she giggled. It was just like Nika to forget to find out her competition.. and to be avoided.....
'Well.. maybe you should let them know what you're about to do.. you know instead of um.. launching yourself on them!' Thea grinned at the red head.

Of course not? Hmm, bummer, Gwen thought. This wasn’t such a brilliant idea after all. Well, that’s it.
Gwen thought the portraits would be kind of boring, some of them were, but the headmaster seemed really nice. Chatty. So she enjoyed listening to him talk. Interesting.

"B-but what if they have more than me?" She said questioning Thea. "Then I can't be proud of how many I have anymore." She said softly. Yes, okay maybe that was a foolish reason not to ask anyone. She was having so much fun thinking about how many she hugged that she didn't really want to know how many the others had. "And being proud is fun." Nod, nod.

So maybe she could tell the slytherins that she needs to hug them, but what fun would that be! "BUUUUT Thea! You don't understand how fun it is when you hug! attack them! It gives you this satisfaction that you can't get anywhere else." Hehe. Only the kind of satisfaction you get when you randomly hug! attack a slytherin that you don't know. "Besides if they knew, they might run away." She added the last bit in a whisper. Well, as close to a whisper as Nika could get with her normally loudness.

Thea blinked.. 'Of course you can still be proud, silly!' Naw.. she was a cutie! ''Cause you've still got a lot of hugs even if they have more than you!' That made sense.. sort of.. a bit?.. Moving on...

Thea cocked her head to the side slightly as she heard Nika whispering. 'I'm sure they wouldn't.. ' Thea shrugged. 'Merh, but yeah your way if probably better...'

Nika may only be 12, but she was starting to come off as if she was younger than Thea. All of her friends were more mature than her. She's just a little ball of spazzy silliness. "Yeah okay.... I guess your right." Besides this way if she does have more hugs than everyone else then she can be super extra proud!

You have no idea Thea. Those slippery snakes will run away if the see her within a mile away. "Slytherins are tricky people. It's so hard to hug them because you have no idea what reaction your gonna get!" Yes, there are those nice snakes. Then you get the angry speech snakes. Then you get the cold angry glare snakes. Then you get the over protective girlfriends. Then you get the shocked ones. "I think half of the house hates me now." She finished with a sheepish smile.

Thea began chewing the skin around her nail as she listened to Nika. 'Of course I'm right!' Thea grinned at her, letting her hand drop to her side again.

Thea watched Nika's face, she was thinking..she had something on her mind. 'I'm sure they don't Nika!' Thea pouted. 'It's only a bit of fun after all, really.' Thea loved Nika's attitude towards everything, it just made her smile.

Timelines are soo messed up! i'm gonna mesh two timelines together kay?
 

Nika beamed at Thea. It was more than a bit of fun. Nika was having the time of her life! Even if she did get the mean Slytherins she loved it all! Their reactions were so darn funny! Buuut they probably did hate her. Or have her on their people-to-avoid list. Do they even have one of those? Well if they do then Nika's on it for sure.

Seeing Thea had taken her mind off of things for a while. Things that had starting getting to her and her cheerful attitude. Nika didn't want to stop being Nika. That meant stopping the cheerfulness, the spazziness, and even the clumsiness. She didn't want that, but there were other things on her mind. There was a long pause as Nika's huge smile starting fading a bit. She honestly didn't know what to do anymore. She didn't want to become a huge downer. "Thea, do you think it's fair for bad things to happen to good people?" She asked the younger lion. Nika knew it was a silly question, but she couldn't get it off of her mind.

Thea grinned, Nika's eyes got that far-away look.. she was dilly day dreaming.. while grinning madly. Scratching her arm, Thea rummaged inside her bag. She was sure she had some chocolate somewhere.. nom nom. Pulling out something crinkly, she tossed a chocolate frog to Nika. Opening her own, she looked up again, suprised by the question. People of ten said Thea acted older than 11, it was just because she had her head screwed on.. mos tof the time anyway! Yeah, she could be immature.. and she didn't expect that to change! But Thea could be sensible too.. this seemed like on of those times. 'No.. not really..' Thea chewed her lip, Nika looked kind of.. sad. ARGHH! She. Looked. SAD. Oooh. Code red, coooode reddddd!
'What's wrong, Nika?' Suprise could be heard as she asked the question.

Nika caught the chocolate frog that Thea had thrown to her. She smiled as she opened the package. "Thanks, they're my favorite." She said as she struggled to open the thing! It's harder than it looks! She didn't even take a bite out of her frog as she looked at the card. "Man. I got Godric again." The same card she gets every time. Every single time. The only card that she owns. She didn't want to accept other's offers to give her cards though because she wanted to get something different on her own. It was her goal so to say. What a sad goal.

Then came the question she was afraid of. She didn't want to cry again, not after she was so happy. Thea probably thinks she's crazy, well crazier than she thought. Going from cheerful and smiley to glum. It wasn't something that really happened to Nika very often. She was never sad. Well mostly never sad. "I- my best friends not coming back to Hogwarts next year." She said in a low murmur. It was hard for her, extremely hard for her.

Seeing the look of disappointment on Nika's face, Thea tossed her another one. 'I have plenty!' She said, grinning. Rubbing her nose, Thea quickly checked behind her to make sure the portrait hadn't noticed her adsence from the conversation.. But she didn't have to worry. The little fat witch was now asleep. Phew!

Thea's smile faded a little as Nika looked sad again. 'Oh..' thea chewed her lip. She really didn't know what to say that could make her feel better. Thea had no idea how hard it was going to be for her friend. Stepping forward, the lion cub wrapped her arms around her Gryffie friend and hugged her. 'It'll be alright, she'll keep in touch.'

Nika smiled and tried to catch the next chocolate frog that Thea threw. This time she missed.... The second year bent over to pick up the yummy chocolate treat and opened the box carefully. "Thanks!" She went straight for the trading card as usual and looked at it. The familiar looking wizard that she had come to know every feature of wasn't on it this time. Instead it was someone else! It was Salazar Slytherin. Well maybe it was another founder, but for the first time it wasn't Godric Gryffindor! That made Nika feel lots better alone. It might be a sign.

"Thea!! THEA!! GUESS WHAT!?" The little Lion was distracted by the sad thoughts that she had been thinking about just moments ago because now there was something new and more exciting. "I GOT SLYTHERIN!!" She did a happy dance as she waved the trading card in the air leaving the chocolate abandoned next to her feet on the floor. "I got slytherin, I didn't get gryffindor, I got slytherin, I didn't get gryffindor!" She repeated her little chant as she ran circles around Thea.

And happy obnoxious Nika was back. All it took was a peice of chocolate and a great friend.

Brushing back her dark hair, she watched as Nika opened the second chocolate frog. Her eyes widening slightly, she watched Nika's face change. She really did not look sad any more..

Thea jumped as Nika shouted her name. 'What.. wha-?' Then before she knew it Nika was dancing around her shouting.. Listening carefully, Thea grinned. 'Woooot!' Thea cried, waving her arms. Laughing she just stood there, watching Thea dancing in circles around her.
And Nika returns...

She was beyond happy. It was like a dream come true. What a sad dream. It was more of a goal actually, a goal to get a different chocolate frog card. After eating what seemed like tens if not hundreds of those frogs she finally got her hands on a different card. Before she was close to tears, but now she is dancing? Nika changes moods quicker than an animagus changes forms.

She finally stopped the dancing as she began to jump up and down. "I can't believe it Thea!" she exclaimed happily. Who knew a chocolate frog could do all of that? Yes, chocolate does wonders, doesn't it? "What do you wanna do noooowww?"
