Sunlight trickles merrily through the arched windows, the bronze and blue silk drapes pulled away from the beautiful mountain view. But you're not here to see the view, not today.
Today you are here for the very important meeting with your Headboy and Prefect. Unless you forgot and are only just remembering right now as you happen to look up. There floating around the starred domed ceiling are shimmering words rotating repeatedly right above a center table set up with plenty of cookies on small plates.
"Hey fellow Ravenclaws,
Thanks so much for coming! We have a few loose ends to tie up and will be with you in a jiffy. Please feel free to enjoy the complimentary treats.
Won't be long!
Theodore, swinging his broom from hand to hand idly, noticed a pair of blue eyes staring him down. Or rather, staring down his broom. It wasn't unfriendly, but rather passive. And strange. Biting his bottom lip and taking a glance at a blonde Ravenclaw he'd seen here and there, his eyes scanned the room for any newcomers. Seeing Alfie, he gave her a small wave and smile, not sure if he should cross the room if the meeting was about to begin.
Alfie's large blue eyes scanned the room, taking in the sight of the many students milling around, speaking with one another, eating the snacks. Her staring habit was still in play, not her best feature, as she often didn't realize it was happening. It could be rather unsettling to others, as well. Her gaze drifted to the windows, glancing out at the rolling views of the many mountains and the wide grounds of Hogwarts. It was pretty, there was no denying that. It was only upon her second sweep of the room that her gaze caught onto a familiar face, her eyes settling upon Theo as he sent a wave her way. A warm smile lit up the girl's expression, having not seen the boy in a while it felt like, and lifted one of her hands to give him a wave in return similartothatinmyavvie. She wondered vaguely how soon this meeting would be starting, if it would be seconds or minutes, unsure of if she should get up and talk to the boy who was across the room.
"'M Ellie," she said smiling. Aaaand soooo, now he can provide his name and it'll all be less awkward.
...Though Jacob's fleeting appearance didn't help that. He even bypassed the clam cookies! He didn't become afraid of cookies, too, now, did he? Odd, odd boy. He got an eyeroll in return to his wave. EYE ROLL.
Oh! But lookit! There were more people! More people she knew! And she said hi to all of them. To Rod, Spike, Dal, Hugo and Theo.
If she had to be here, she was at least gonna make it pleasant.
The cookies helped with that.
She eyed the girl with the dress. Bott. Ellie knew her even if she didn't know her. She was a bit overdressed, though, wasn't she? Compared to Theo who looked as if, and he probably did, just came off the pitch.
Neptune was LOOKING for someone to save her from the girl that was, for lack of better way to put it, was de-dressing her. She found Ellie's eyes on her and Neptune flashed her a smile. "How are the refreshments?"
And would Ellie be interested in serving her?
Was there punch?

One of the sisters will probably run away after the first week, most of the chances will be that Stella will run away, but the world is full of mysteries, so maybe Stella will turn out to be lucky.
"Hunchback?" said Stella thinking for a moment, "I wonder how Orange will react, if I'll call her Hunchback," she mumbled to herself, but probably all the room heard it because she doesn't have such a quiet voice. "I think you found me a new name for my sister," she said to the other Ravenclaw girl. "I wonder how she'll react to that name," she said again, feeling a bit awkward after saying so.
"You have a sister named orange?"

Neptune assumed SHE was being waved at, so she waved back. But she still wasn't a fan of the broom. Why WERE people so shabbily dressed for this party, anyway? Sigh.
Presley walked into the room to see people gathered as if waiting for something. "What's going on?" she asked aloud. There were cookies. What? Presley looked up and saw the ceiling. Finlay and Ivory? This must be a prefect meeting. She found an empty seat and took it, eager to find out what this was all about.
Alfie was sitting on a large armchair in the corner of the Ravenclaw Common Room, her feet curled up next to her, her large blue eyes scanning the room for anyone that she recognized. In all honesty, she hadn't been the most social butterfly this year so she wasn't familiar with all that many people. So she remained quiet, simply watching the room and wondering vaguely what this meeting was about. She'd almost forgotten about it entirely until she'd heard some other Ravenclaws talking about it. And since she didn't have anything else to do, there was no reason she couldn't come to this little get together. So here she was, waiting for it to begin, scanning the crowd curiously with her large blue eyes.
Marching proudly down from the girls dorm into the Common Room, Sophia instinctively looked around to look for someone she knew. Spotting a familiar blonde, curly haired 'claw, she marched over to Alfie and sat down, grabbing some cookies along the way.
"I wonder what this is about..." she said, munching on a cookie. "I had no idea we even had a meeting till like, two minutes ago when I heard someone mention it."

Feeling rather bored, the Spaniard looked around to see if any of his comrades had arrived for the meeting yet. After a few moments of searching, Roderigo spotted his good friend Theo over yonder, talking with two people he had seen on occasion but had never talked to. He got up from his squishy armchair and wandered across the common room till he reached Theo and his friends.
"Hey Theo!" he said, patting his friend on the back. He spotted the broom in Theo's hand and frowned. "Don't beat yourself up over that match. You're still a fantastic beater!" He smiled and looked at the two girls Theo was talking to. He recognized one as a fellow seventh-year, but did not recall seeing the other girl. She seemed a bit younger, perhaps in her seventh year. Regardless, Roderigo smiled to them both.
"Hello, I'm Roderigo," he said, knowing it would've been rude for him to just talk to Theo when they were with him already.

Alfie's blue eyes had been stuck on Theo momentarily, which ensured that she didn't notice as Sophia took a seat at her side in another armchair. So as she heard the familiar voice begin to speak, the blonde gave a bit of a jump, blue eyes widening as she turned to see Sophia taking a seat. Letting out a sigh of relief and a weak chuckle, she listened as the girl wondered aloud what the meeting was about, mentioning that she didn't know about it until two minutes ago. Alfie gave a soft smile at this, amused with the girl she had met a few months back. She liked Sophia, she was sweet, and amusing. "I know, I only found out about it a couple days ago," the girl responded with a brief nod, giving a bit of a shrug. "I have no idea what it's about."

Sophia looked to where Alfie had been looking, at the kid with the broom. And another boy who had walked up to him and introduced himself. Obviously, Sophia smiled back, and nodded until he acknowledged her. She was tired - so her energy level was down a bit.

Alfie listened as Sophia mentioned that she felt like a dolt for not knowing sooner, confessing to almost using the term 'blonde' before realizing her company might take offense. The blonde in the situation gave a soft laugh at this confession, amused that Sophia wouldn't mind confiding her almost slip-up to her. "No, no, I don't care," she assured her with a smile, about to continue when she heard someone introduce themselves. She looked up to focus her gaze on an older boy who introduced himself as Roderigo. He had obviously been next to Theo moments before, but stepped forward to speak with them politely. "Nice to meet you," she said politely with a brief nod, a soft smile on her expression. "I'm Alfie," the girl added. Theo still seemed to be a few yards back, as they had been on opposite sides of the room, but she was happy to be introduced to this newcomer, having seen him around a couple of times.

Roderigo turned to another girl, whom he hadn't noticed before, who was talking to the younger Ravenclaw girl he didn't know. Today was just his day for meeting fellow housemates, he supposed. He smiled and waved to the young girl.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see you there," he said, feeling bad.

"Nice to meet you as well," he said, glad to be making more Ravenclaw friends. He placed his hands into the pocket of his jeans and looked around at the slowly-filling common room.
"Any idea what this is all about?" he asked Alfie and the other girl.

Presley felt conspicously alone. She glanced around for someone she knew, and spotted Alfie. She'd met Alfie a while back, but they hadn't really had much interaction with each other. Regardless, she was one of the few Presley knew in the room, if only vaguely. Presley walked over to her. "Alfie, hey! Any idea what this is about?"

"Okay good," she said. "Considering I didn't know your stance on it. You can't be a dumb blonde. I mean, hello, you're a Ravenclaw after all. That'd be weird."
She went back to her cookie as she watched everyone else in the room converse, especially the people in front of her.
PEOPLE WATCHING WAS FUN.

But not to worry! Sophia's feelings weren't hurt AT ALL. Besides, if someone wanted to pay more attention to Alfie than her, then GO FOR IT. Her blondie friend needed attention too.
And Neptune thought her family had different names. "How... unique." Manners didn't allow her to say horrid, but her expression more or less said it for her. But right, Neptune understood the cucumber reference. It was, admittedly, pretty funny.
"Hmmm. It was The Hunchback, but to be honest, I'm not so proud of myself for calling her that, as true as it may have been at the time." Neptune had grown up and in turn, grown fond of her baby sister. She HAD sent her the pretty birthday dress...
"Yes we are a French family, so the orange is rather common in France," said Stella, she began getting rather annoyed, why isn't the meeting starting? She has more important things to do, not that chatting with this girl isn't so boring. "And if you want to make fun of her name," said Stella eying her expression, "you can, even for me it's still a weird name. And I was forced to grow up with her." Back in France, it was a nightmare living with her, she always used to brag about herself and telling her how good she is in everything. Stella almost ran away from the house once, but thanks Merlin that there are parents which love and care about you.
"Well maybe you and your sister are closer than me and Orange," she said after hearing the girls regret. "By the way I'm Stella and what's your name?" asked Stella flicking her hair over her shoulder. It was weird talking to someone without knowing there name.
"Ermmm... Has anyone got a clue when the meeting or whatever this is, is going to start?" she asked the small crowd of Ravenclaws, which are probably attending the meeting.
Alfie had just retrieved her hand from Roderigo's, giving him another small smile, when he asked if they had any clue what was going on. Presley laughed lightly. She hadn't noticed that Alfie was already talking to people, or she never would have interupted. After all, she was three years ahead of Pres, so the people she was conversing with probably were too. "Maybe since Finn and Ivory called the meeting, they should decide to show up or something." She said the words half jokingly, half seriously. How many people were late to thier own meeting? She knew the ceiling was supposed to excuse it, but really? Half of Ravenclaw was here, and they weren't.
"'M Ellie," she said smiling. Aaaand soooo, now he can provide his name and it'll all be less awkward.

Eino raised an eyebrow at the seeker. Melly? What in Merlin's name is a melly and why was she calling him one? Had she taken one too many bludgers to the head? Oooooh, maybe melly was Quidditch talk for hello or something. "Melly!" He replied. They had already said hello to each other though, so he didn't understand why they were repeating that. Maybe she had taken one too many bludgers to the head. "My name's Eino, and that's also who I am." He introduced himself because he thought it would be rude not to since he knew her but she didn't know him. That was unfair.
The room was now filled with Ravenclaws, all waiting for the mysterious meeting to begin. Some were falling asleep, others were devouring their books, but most were just killing time with conversation.

The cookies? "They're good," Ellie replied. Not chocolate, though. They would've been better chocolate.

Ellie turned back to the boy and gave him a look to convey that he was clearly in the wrong. Melly? Ew. No. "Ellie," she corrected.
"Nice to meet you, Eino." Maybe. Or maybe it wasn't. He was strange. And redundant.

"Yes..." Eino blinked "That's you!" He said pointing at her chest. Maybe she was confused because both of their names started with an E and were both pretty short for names. Although, she seemed to have gotten it right at the end, since she called him by his name. Maybe she should see the nurse about whatever it was she was suffering from. Ah, the price she had to pay for being the legendary seeker. Ellie Stone was a hero. "It's nice to meet you, too." Well, it was nice that now she knew who he was? "That was a good match last weekend....?" Even though Ravenclaw lost, but he didn't know what else to say.
Resident Ghost of Ravenclaw | Intelligent & Evasive
"Oh wonderful! You're all here!" A delighted, quiet voice, which despite its pitch, could be heard all the way around the common room.
For a moment, you cannot determine where the voice is coming from-that is until you notice a slightly hazy spot in the niche opposite the door. Peering at the space beside the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw, you notice a slight mist that within moments begins to take form.
Soon you can discern the features of a very, very pale woman. So pale, in fact, that one could even call her translucent.
Dressed in regal 11th century attire complete with a floor length cloak, Helena Ravenclaw glides forward, her normally proud features alight in excitement as she brings up her arms, signalling for them all to rise.
"Ravenclaws, listen well, for today is a day of mystery and entertainment." Clasping her ghostly hands together, the Grey Lady addressed them all. "There is an adventure planned for you today, a hunt." Her form rose a few feet to hover above them all. "A scavenger hunt to a great destination." Grey eyes fell on the students one by one. "And the first clue is..."
Clearing her throat, her voice grew louder and resonant as only a spirit's could.
"The place that does contain our dearest companions. So long as men can breathe and eyes can see, this place will always hold the gateway to the world of imagination. A Ravenclaw's home."
And with that said the Grey Lady disappeared, her words echoing in the common room.

Alfie was just about to continue speaking with her new group of people around her, her mouth open to state an opinion of some sort, when a loud, yet somehow soft voice rang through the air clear as day. Her blue eyes widened, whipping her blonde hair around as she attempted to figure out where it had come from, moments later allowing her gaze to settle on a...mist? But quickly this mist transformed into a figure, almost translucent, and dressed in 11th century clothing. This must have been the ghost everyone had mentioned when she first arrived at Ravenclaw...She'd never seen her before though.
The blonde scrambled to her feet as the ghost gestured for them to rise, listening as the woman explained that today was a day of adventure, that there was a scavenger hunt to a great destination. Her eyebrows rose curiously, listening as she then gave out the first clue, her voice ringing through the silence and echoing back at them once she had disappeared. A clue? A scavenger hunt? Alfie turned to look at her company with wide blue eyes, utterly confused.
Hugo looked over to the source of the sound that had just appeared... It was the Grey Lady! Awesome! He listened to what she had to say. An adventure... Awesome! A hunt. Was that what the X was? The ending of a scavenger hunt? A great destination...
He scratched his chin when the ghost disappeared. Our dearest companion... The Slytherin Common Room? A Ravenclaw's home... Imagination... "The library?" Hugo suggested. That was probably right. Oh, this was awesome!

As Gwen started getting bored just waiting around, a ghost appeared. It wasn’t just a ghost- it was the Grey Lady! Helena Ravenclaw! The ghost of her house!!! Wow, this was the first time she ever saw her. Great!
But-wait? What is she saying?‘Am I the only one that doesn’t understand a thing?’, she said, a bit louder than she had expected. The place that does contain our dearest companions? , the girl kept repeating in her mind. ‘Well, that’s Hogwarts! But…the whole castle? Wouldn’t that be a bit too much?’, she said, again, a bit louder than she had expected.
Then, another thing crossed her mind: Is she serious, or just babbling around? Hmm… If she’s serious about this, then maybe this common room should be the place she’s talking about. ‘But…the common room…that would be too easy’. And, if it was the second variant, well…then she’ll just go and grab a cookie and keep waiting around.

Half of Ravenclaw was here, and they weren't.

"Oh, hey Presley!" Alfie replied with a soft chuckle, amused with the common theme of this meeting; what on earth was going on? "We were just talking about that actually," she said softly, turning to the three people around her and then glancing over Roderigo's shoulder towards Theo, wondering vaguely if he would come over as well. She quickly erased this thought, coming back to the present and flashing the three people a smile. "I don't have any idea of what this is about..."

Roderigo returned a smile to Alfie after shaking hands with her. She was about to reply to his question when another girl came up to them. According to Alfie, her name was Presley. The Spaniard chuckled as fell for Presley asked the same question he had just asked. He looked at Sophia and frowned.
"Are you feeling alright, then?" he asked, his voice thick with concern. Roderigo would not have thought her to be a happy and hyper person, for she seemed pretty drained at the moment.
He turned to Presley and also waved to her.
"Hello, Presley, right?" he said, smiling. "I'm Roderigo." He took a few steps back and wondered if the meeting will ever progress. He crossed his arms around his chest, pondering what the meeting could be about.

Roderigo was about ready to go back to his dormitory when a misty voice spoke from somewhere in the middle of the common room. He spun around as the common room fell with a hush of silence; the Grey Lady had just appeared. Roderigo stared at her eerie beauty as she spoke of a scavenger hunt for them all to partake in. His eyebrows rose with surprise; he had not expected the meeting to be about that.
The Grey Lady's clue had just sunk in for the Spaniard when she disappeared. He pondered for a bit, wondering what the clue could mean. He suddenly gasped, thinking he might have gotten the clue, and turned to Presley, Sophia, and Alfie.
"A gateway to imagination that is a Ravenclaw's home!" he whispered excitedly. "It must be the library!"

Alfie's gaze, which had wandered to the floor, returned to Roderigo as he gave a gasp, making her jump just slightly as she often did. Before she could ask what was up, he was repeating the clue, quickly finding the answer; the library. Her expression lit up and the clue suddenly made sense. Best friends to Ravenclaws? Books of course! She gave a bit of a grin, glancing around at everyone else before returning her gaze to the few people around her. "Well...do we go?" she wondered out loud in a whisper, letting out a soft chuckle at how strange this situation was.

Hearing a voice addressing the whole room, Dallin looked over his shoulder to where it was coming from. He watched as a shape formed into something transparent - a ghost. He bit his lip, reminding himself that Hogwarts had them. He'd seen 'em before... but it was still weird. They were like... talking dead people.
Ahem. Anyway. He listened carefully to Grey Lady, tuning out everything around him because he really wanted to know what this meeting was about. An adventure? Dallin glanced at Louisa, smirking. Maybe that was what she wanted. He quickly returned his attention to the Ravenclaw ghost, though, in time to hear the clue.
A place with our dearest companions. That could be anywhere for anyone. Honestly, Dal couldn't tell you where that place would be for him. Breathe and see... imagination... A museum? A Ravenclaw's home... The common room? No, that didn't fit the first part.]
"The library!" he said out loud, quietly. A smirk appeared on his lips again; he was quite proud of himself for figuring it out. But now... were they supposed to go where they thought they should? He looked around the room, waiting for someone to leave first.
Oh, it was the Grey Lady. Spike smiled, and gave her a little wave. He still found the sight of ghosts exciting. He listened to her carefully. Mystery...entertainment? He bounced his legs against the edge of the sofa excitedly. He was SO up for this. Whatever it was.
A scavenger hunt? Awesomeness.
As for the clue, Spike frowned. His imagination probably didn't match up with most 'Claws. He looked round the Common Room doubtfully. Surely this was their home? But what did that have to do with imagination...?

The library? Spike pondered his team mate's suggestion. Well, if you liked books - and Claws were meant to - it sort of fitted. If you were in the fiction section. Was there a fiction section? He wouldn't know...he generally avoided the place, to be fair. Musty books weren't his scene. The fresh outdoors was.
"Don't go anywhere without me!" he announced, breaking out of his thoughts. Even if it meant he had to go into the library. It'd be worth breaking his habit of avoidance though, right?
