Mirror Behind the mirror is a secret passageway. Unfortunately it doesn't lead anywhere because of a cave in. |
SPOILER!!: Before now... Serena was still sniffing. She felt lonely, she didn't have any friends like they did. She laid against a mirror and was surprised to feel it move backwards. She looked at it and realised that she had found a secret passageway. Still upset, she walked inside. To her dismay, she soon realised the passageway did not lead anywhere. She still was glad to find it. She sat down on the floor and sniffed slightly. Somewhere to be alone. Then she realised it was silent... Serena jumped and reached into her pocket for the magical Radio she had, she turned it up to the loudest volume she could without anyone realising she was in there. She clasped it tightly to her and began to read, a hard thing to do if you're also trying to hold a Radio near to you too. |
ANYONE!GRAB IT AND VM ME. <3 *beams* FALALALALALALA. SKIP.SKIP.SKIP. A MIRRRRRRRROOOOOOR!!! :whaa: In mid-skip, Minnie just stared at herself in the mirror. She pushed a strand of blonde hair behind her ear, swaying back and forth. Giggles were already escaping out of the young girl's lips. WHAT?! She was pretty and she enjoyed this whole looking at herself thing. DON'T HAAAAAATE. *BEAM* |
Quote:
What a STUPID place for a mirror. >_< Regaining his breath, he turned right and saw a girl who was pretty much the same height as him (shockingly). Probably a first year, then. He felt too awkward to talk, so he just looked at himself in the mirror again. He really did have such a good sense of style so he stood there, grinning at himself. Wanna know why? He OWNED the sweater vest look. In fact, he was so engrossed with the mirror that he almost forgot the girl standing next to him. Ahem. He coughed quickly and thought of something to say. An ice breaker. "Hi. I like your..." Clothes? Shoes? "...hair." HAIR? |
Quote:
^____^ Suddenly, Minnie felt someone else's PRESENCE. She blinked, eyes flickering away from her tiara to someone else, someone else hogging up her SPACE. What kind of CRAAAAAAAZY person hogged up a PRINCESS' place? Obviously a very dumb one. She looked at him, almost glaring before he complimented her. Giggles rolled out of the girl's mouth, twirling on a strand of blonde hair."SHANNNNNNNNNNNKS."She said her eyes shut as she spoke, a big grin on her face. WHAT?! He complimented her hair? It wasn't HER fault she got excited ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WAS A BOY TOOOO. :33 "I like your sweater, it makes your eyes look nice."Not pretty, NICE. Pretty only described girls and he was NOT a girl. She beamed now, looking at the boy."I'M MINNNNNNNIE. PRINCESS MINNIE. THAT EXPLAINS THE CROWN. HAAAAAAI PLEBEIAN!" Wasn't she such a good princess? |
Quote:
Aaaaaaand.... she was glaring. Glaring??! What did he do wrong? Of course, his compliment about her hair seemed to have done the trick. It brought him to the overall summary of the girl; Whoa, she was bubbly. Jamie's eyes widened a little bit, but he responded with a smile. He liked her attitude. If you couldn't be happy then why don't you just sit under a rock??! Ya know? "Urm you're welcome.." He scratched his head again. Not because it was itchy, but that was his nervous thing. Awwww. "Really? That is like, the nicest thing I have heard in AGES." Kids used to pick on him and his sweater vests. Bad times, but now a pretty girl said it looked nice so stuff them! AHH, back to the over-bubbly-ness. Princess? Surely not a real one. "Princess of what?" Princess of Hogwarts???! That would be incredible. "Nice to meet you, Princess Minnie -" should he bow to the princess? Eh, why not? He bowed. "I'm Jamie Keaton." And er... no he was no prince, so he looked like a basic old fool. |
Faiiiil post. >_< Quote:
STARE. "Well, then YOU must hang out with some REALLLLLY mean people then..."Then again maybe his friends weren't as nice as she was? ^__^ Minnie got told she was a sweetheart a lot, a LOT more sweet than everyone else."I like it though, it's PRETTY and DIFFERENT."The blonde said while fixing her crown in the mirror. Princess of WHAT?! Minnie's eyes wandered a bit, attempting to think of a half way good answer. NO LUCK. she bit her lip now, "Errrrmmmm...PRINCESSOFBEINGAWESOME!?"FLAILAGE. Was that a fail answer? She hoped not. OMG. HE EVEN BOWED. Minnie BEAMED. "Its my PLEASE."She said through her giggles, twirling on a strand of blonde hair. "Jaiiiiiiime? HAI JAIME!" |
Quote:
Princess of being awesome? FACEPALM. She wasn't a real princess, she was a pretend princess! Which means he just bowed to a regular person. AARGHH. Jamie's face went a bit pink, and he shuffled around a bit, even though she looked rather pleased that he bowed. "Hey, MINNIE." He said, copying her enthusiasm. But he also wanted to make a clear point that he would not call her princess Minnie ever again. "What house are you in?" He asked with a smile. His guess was Hufflepuff. Jamie wished he was in Hufflepuff. It looked way fun. And the name was great. HUFFLEPUFF. PUFFLEHUFF. PUFFERRRS. He luved it. |
Serena opened her eyes. Her Radio was still talking to her. She started. bloody hell... She thought. She had fallen asleep, 10.42, 10.42! She had been here all night! Lucky her Radio had been enchanted for longer battery life by her mum. She thought for a moment why she was here, then she remembered what happened at the Student Gardens. She could remember what Mordred said to Daisy and worse, she remembered what had happened from primary school... *sniff* She stood up, she had probably missed breakfast so she really should go and find Mordred. She stood up and pushed the mirror. Nothing happened. noooo...... Serena stared at the back of the mirror and then to her horror, the Radio ran out of batteries. No. No. No! NO!!! Serena went into a fully fledged state of panic, she shoved against the mirror continually. And finally it flew open. Outside, there were two people taller than Serena (not saying much as she was only 4ft 10...) they looked at the girl who had just appeared through the mirror. Serena turned red and sprinted away, bright red. |
This place looked really interesting. Gwendolyn knew she had read about this place somewhere, but she did not remember where. It did not matter. The only thing the girl thought of at the moment was where the secret passage behind the mirror was leading… Hmm...maybe to a secret location underground the castle…or…to some kind of a room that contains long-lost objects…or….something even more interesting….?, she thought. The girl wanted just to take a look behind the mirror…just to get a tiny hint…just to know the direction where it went. She slowly moved the mirror a few centimeters, and, suddenly…she got her answer. The passage lead…NOWHERE! Bummer, she though. |

MEAN PEOPLE. "SHAAAAAAANKS. I have LOTS of crowns, this one I'm wearing riiiiight now cause it matches my ROBE."Which she hated. STUPID UNIFORM. -_- Green didn't look lovely on her, NO IT DIDN'T. She looked better in piiiiiink or BRIGHT happy colors. Truth be known the girl actually had about 20 tiaras hidden in her dorm, hidden from MEAN. EVIL.JEALOUS GIRLS WHO WANTED TO TAKE HER TIARAS. He was blushing? WHY WAS HE BLUSHING? Minnie raised an eyebrow, poking him."WHY YOU BLUSSSSSSSSHIN'?!"She asked in an EXTREMELY loud voice. FROWNIE FACE. "HAI."He didn't call her a princess, what a butthead. :( "SLYTHERIN.What are YOU?! Are you a....CLAW?! YOU A BLUE CLAAAAAW PERSON?!"SNORTY. SNORT. |
SPOILER!!: Minnieeeee DNFGDSKNGJDFNGFDG. :whaa: "YES, there is a Wednesday and a Friday vest." He frowned as he confessed. CAUGHT. SPOTTED. AS A LOSER. "But... I don't always wear them in order, ya know." He stopped doing that about 2 years ago. Jamie smiled nervously. At least she was happy with his compliment, and it gave him hope that bullying would be at a minimum. Jamie raised an eyebrow at Minnie. She was like a little three year old. At first he was starting to like her because she reminded him of himself, but now she was just creepy. "Are they real crowns? Or the plastic ones that come in goody bags?" He asked quite seriously. If they were the plastic kind then OHHHH MERLIN, what the hell was going on? "I AIN'T BLUSHING." He shouted back. If she shouts at him then he would shout back. It was simple MATHS! But technically speaking, he wasn't blushing, just a bit embarrassed for genuinely believing that she was royalty. No. Way. This girl was a Slytherin? THIS GIRL was the same species as him???! Unbelievable. "Cool, me t-" RAVENCLAW? Jamie stared at the girl, flabbergasted. The blue house were smart, right? And this boy right here was and looked as dumb as a lamp post. How could he possibly be mistaken for one of those over a Hufflepuff? "Actually, I'm a Slytherin as well. Why?! Do I LOOK like a Claw?" He hoped not. Otherwise, there could be a possible identity crisis lurking. Out of all the houses, Ravenclaw was his least favourite. |
As Hugo walked down the corridor, he noticed the little mirror thing that he would usually avoid. He looked around. Noone was around. Maybe he could do the thing Berty Borr wanted him to do? Everyone was at the common room at this time, he would have a chance to be totally weird. As he approached, he sorted out his imperfections in a second. But he wasn't here to think about his weak points. He was here to think about his strong points and how to use them to achieve something. He felt like this could be the mirror of Erised because when he stepped in front of the mirror, he could see what he wanted in his mind. "My goals..." Hugo said, his voice echoeing through the dark, empty corridors. The sound of his own voice quite scared himself, because it sounded like someone else was there too. "Wands," he began. "I want to make them," he said and looked around again. This all felt really weird. "I am going to get the best grades I can, especially for Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures," he told himself. "Though I'm not the best at both," he admitted. "Then I will go to a university for it, and I will become an apprentice," he said. "Eventually becoming a wandmaker." Hugo didn't understand why he needed to do this. He had already planned it out in his head. He tended to think about his future a lot. What was another goal of his? "I want to make the Quidditch team," he said. "For that to happen I firstly need to have enough talent," he told the mirror image of himself. That is where his doubts started. "Then I need to practise A LOT," he said. "And I want to be a prefect in my fifth year," he said. Yeah, definitely. "I have no idea how to achieve it..." he said and frowned. "Just, getting good grades and being a good student I guess..." AND that was it. Now, it was time to walk slowly away before anyone saw him... And with that thought Hugo ran as fast as he could from that darn mirror. |
Shifting the textbooks in her arms, Katie walked along the empty corridor on her way to the library, wanting a peaceful place to study without the commotion typically heard from the Common Room or out on the grounds, even. The corridor itself wouldn't be suck a bad place to sit against a wall and flip open a book, actually. It was quiet for once, absolutely deserted as far as the badger girl knew. There was the floor length mirror, Katie noticed as she neared it, reminding her of that ridiculous Defense Against the Dark Arts assignment she was still trying to decide whether or not to purposely fail. Swimming in the lake in October, who did that? Katie did not want what would without a doubt become a trip to the hospital wing. Without much thought process behind it, Katie found herself standing in front of the mirror, tracing a hand over the outer frame. School assignments aside, seven years later Katie still couldn't help but find it an odd place for a mirror to be. |
Quote:
Taking a bite of the sandwich in his hand Legend made his way up the staircase so he could turn and go to the Gryffindor Common Room. Unfortunately it was at that moment that the staircase had decided to shift, going a completely different way. The seventh year shrugged and took another bite before continuing whenever the hall led him. Fourth floor right? For some reason he was not surprised at all to see the short curly haired girl looking at the mirror before her. "Wotchu' 'ooking at?" He said swallowing the bite of the sandwich which was in his mouth. |
Quote:
Turning to the side, Katie shifted the books up in her arms again and looked to the sandwich-munching Gryffindor. She didn't even bother making any sort of comment about not talking with food in his mouth, the thought barely crossed her mind at all. Failed attempts at that had been left to her twelve-year-old self once upon a time. "What are you doing? Besides eating and staring at me, staring at a mirror." |
Quote:
Her answer was quick. As is she was still alert despite the fact that all her attention had been on the mirror. "Humh." It was the only thing he could say currently, as he had taken another bite out of the turkey sandwich. Very good. Fresh. Legend decided he should visit the House Elves more often. As she semi-turned, Legend looked at her, this time swallowing before speaking again. "Not just eating. I'm also chewing." He smirked, but the satisfying look was soon replaced by a faint smile. "Are you alright? You seem kind of...down." It was like...his job to take care of Katie. Sorta. If she would let him. Juls wasn't here so he kind of had to be that person who would listen. He had down that a lot last term but that was DIFFERENT. That was when they were dating. Now in the past. |
Quote:
A slight smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, Katie resisted the urge to roll her dark eyes toward the high ceiling above them. "Oh no? And here I thought you inhaled your food these days," She said lightly, more playfully or teasing than anything. The small, little smile that had appeared began to fade a bit at his question. "Yeah, I guess so?" Katie kind of gave a little shrug of her shoulders, which was 'not really' in Katie body language 101. When Legend said she seemed down, Katie gave him a weak smile. "I think I am." |
Helena was strolling around the fourth floor, looking for... waaait. How did she even get there?! The dungeons were far, faaar away and she didn't quite have anything to do there. But there she was, walking around with the list full of ridiculous things to do from Mr. Borr. She eventually found a mirror and, as she glanced at the list she was holding, there was point number seven. Talk to yourself in the mirror about your goals and how you'll achieve each one. Sure, if that will ever happen. Nope. The girl was definitely NOT going to talk to herself in the mirror. Instead of doing that, she'll just stare at her reflexion. Stare... because she didn't quite like what she was seeing. The same tall, dark haired figure. She kind of got bored of seeing that. |
Quote:
Eep, she didn't like ghosts. With the very good exception of Sir Nicholas, that was one ghost she was used to and those other house ghosts. But not student ghosts. Zara gulped, and stared at the girl in front of the mirror. Surely, Hogwarts weren't keeping dangerous ghosts, right? Argh, why was Zara in Gryffindor? Such a coward, scared of ghosts. Geez. She approached the girl, taking one step at a time quietly. She hoped she wouldn't scare that ghost or whatever that girl was. She reached out her hand, just to tap her. Just to see if she was someone out of this world. |
Quote:
But then... she felt... something. Someone. She spun around quickly, to see a girl who looked... scared? Okay, maybe Helena was not the prettiest girl at Hogwarts, but did she look... scary? "Uhh... hi?" She said awkwardly. WHY was the girl scared? Helena turned back to face the mirror again, raising her eyebrows. Nope, she didn't have a third hand or an eye popping out of her forehead. Her uniform also looked alright. Her hair wasn't sticking up in every possible direction. But... what was wrong then? |
Quote:
Deciding that maybe she was normal..or not, she tried asking, "Hi. Are you a..." she said softly. |
Quote:
But then... "A... ?" A what? A creepy monster? An alien? Nope. She was neither the last time she checked. Ooooh! Maybe the girl could see through her or something! Or maybe there was someone in the mirror who wasn't supposed to be there? Let's hope not. |
Quote:
"Are you a..real person?" Yeah, that was way better than asking if she was a ghost. Cause it would sure be an awkward moment. |
Quote:
Oh no. Nooo no no no. What if... there was a giant spider on her back?! Nope. It couldn't be. Because Helena couldn't feel any creepy and hairy legs, unless they were invisible. But no, that was not it. As the girl spoke, Helena didn't quite know how to react. "A... real person?" She repeated, while her eyes went wide. "I... suppose so," she shrugged. What did she look like? A zombie? A vampire? Oh, maybe that. Because of her really pale skin. Or maybe not? But Helena couldn't help it. She suddenly burst out laughing. "I'm sorry," for the laughing, "but what makes you think I'm not... a real person? You are the first one asking me that." |
Quote:
|
Quote:
And... why was she waving her arms in front of her? ... Okay, Helena ignored that, still looking down and blushing. "I was staring like that because I... hate my hair." It was longer and slightly curly last term and she wanted to try something different, but she surely didn't like the result. |
Quote:
"Well, you wanna go style it or something?" She smiled, though Zara knew nothing about those fashion blah blah's, she could try. I mean, the Room of Requirement isn't there for nothing. Ohh, where were her manners? She forgot to introduce herself. "I'm really sorry again for the mistake. Really sorry. Oh, and I'm Zara by the way. Danielle Zara Griffiths," she hoped to make friends though they probably got off on the wrong foot. |
Quote:
Names, names. How come that she ALWAYS forgot about that part? "Don't worry about it," she smiled. "And I'm Helena. Helena Hopkins." And two other names but she decided not to introduce herself like that. Just because her name was even longer than Zara's. |
Quote:
"Oh, nice to meet you Helena." She smiled. It's a good thing you're not a ghost. Whew. |
Quote:
"Why not, then?" Helena finally said, grinning. For some unknown reason, she trusted Zara. Anyway, what could happen? Unless Zara had scissors in her hands, Helena was willing to try. "It's nice to meet you too." And it's nice that she didn't run away screaming or something like that. "Are you new here?" She suddenly asked, hoping that she was not rude. "I haven't seen you before." Except for the last few classes. |
Quote:
"Yeah, I'm new. On my first year, actually." She said as she also took a quick look at the mirror. She examined how it was put there, hmm, why is that it looks like it can be opened? Zara's eyebrows furrowed as she reached out to check. |
Quote:
But... "What are you doing?" Helena asked curiously, as she noticed that Zara was studying the mirror. Was there some kind of passageway And guess what? Nothing happened! Sigh. |
Quote:
Now that was cool. As she opened that kind of passageway door, which happens to be the mirror, Zara's eyebrows raised and she turned to look back at Helena. |
Quote:
"Do you think it's a good idea?" To... you know, move the mirror and actually find a passageway and not run away? "Aren't we going to get into trouble?" Because Helena surely didn't want to lose points for Slytherin, or something worse to happen. It was Helena's turn to be scared. She just shook her head as Zara turned back to look at her. |
Quote:
She gave Helena a grin. "Well, if you want to follow, just do so. I'm going in." |
Quote:
"Are you... sure?" She asked again. Uhh she had a bad feeling about this. But no, she was not going in there. She just stood in front of the passageway, where the mirror had been a few moments ago. |
Quote:
She tried to feel what it was. Great. The passageway leads...to someplace Zara doesn't know. Why? Because the passageway's blocked. Sighing, she turned back and walked back outside. "Hey Helena," she greeted again as she got back out. She was a bit surprised that the girl was still there. Zara thought she would've gone away or closed the passageway or something. Well, that's good. She's trustworthy, Zara smiled. "You're still here," rubbing her forehead. As she closed the passageway, the mirror in its place again, Zara saw that her forehead didn't have any bumps but it sure was a bit reddish in color. Hmph, well, it'll go away later maybe. |
Quote:
She didn't even have to wait for a long time for Zara to get back out of the passageway. "Of course I'm still here," Helena giggled, but then noticed that the girl was studying her forehead in the mirror. "What happened?" She asked, but not exactly desperate as she used to be. Juuust because Zara looked alright. Not that Helena was not worried. |
Quote:
"Well, wanna go do your hair?" |
Quote:
|
Quote:
Her... hair? Oh. "Sure," she smiled. She kind of forgot about it, with all the not-so-secret-anymore passageway drama. "But... here? Or somewhere else?" |
Quote:
"Well, I was thinking more at the Room of Requirement." Then she hesitated, "But if you want it here..I think we'll find a way." She didn't want to make her new friend uncomfortable. I mean, maybe she could find stuff to use and bring them here if Helena wanted. |

Quote:
"Let's go there," she said, smiling. "But you'll have to show me where it is," the girl added, slightly blushing. A first year who knew more than her. Awesome. |

"Let's go." She smiled and she walked over going to the staircase, going up to the seventh floor. |
Anyone :P Ariadne was struggling with the ballroom dancing part of the DADA assignment. She could have easily chosen to skip it, but the girl was a perfectionist, so she wanted to follow the list in all its points. However, she didn't have anyone to dance with. Well, she could ask Jory or Mordred, of course, but she didn't want to make a fool of herself in front of friends. Yeah. Better step on someone else's feet, a boy she didn't know. To solve her problem, the firstie sticked a note on the mirror hanging on the wall on the fourth floor corridor, note which read: Quote:
|

Look in the mirror and tell yourself your goals. What in the name of Merlin was the point of this homework? Seriously. But, Dal wanted the points so he was going to do what he was told. So he found the mirror that he saw last year, and stared right at himself. "Pass all your classes, 'kay?" That was his goal. He had told himself it. YAY. And now, since he was here... he fixed his hair, making the swish just right. Then he smiled at himself. |
Quote:
Huh. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to force the food in his mouth. Legend's mouth was so full that it was even difficult to chew. "Hmhgmfgfhm." It was all he could get out. That and a small nod. She was feeling down? That wasn't good. That meant that something was wrong. Legend lifted up his arms and shoulders as if to ask what was wrong, because he obviously could not say it. |
Quote:
Glancing toward the mirror again, Katie remembered the first time she had come across it in her first year while exploring the castle with William, how much bigger it had been and how much smaller she had been, and more than that how strange she had thought it to be on the fourth floor. It was still strange. Hmmhmmwhut? Dark eyes moved back toward Legend, and she shrugged. "I didn't think it would end this soon?" Katie murmured, though it came out sounding like more of a question than a statement. She hadn't thought she would care at the end, either. |
Conan had found the mirror. He had to tell the mirror his goals. Well he only had one. Well two. He gave the mirror a bit of a shine, so he could see himself. He had to then check his hair. Yep perfect as always. Hair. CHECK. Goals....double check. Ish. He took a deep breath. "One day..." He didn't know what to say. He knew what he wanted to do. But would it go down in a place like this. |
Quote:
That was a decent goal...right? Turning the bend, Kurumi saw that she wasn't the only one wanting to do their Defense Against the Dark Arts assignment. "Oh...um...h-h-h-hello," she stammered feeling a bit unsure if she should leave the boy alone or not. |
Quote:
He smiled at her, "I'm Conan." He waved, hoping she would join him. Then he didn't have to say his goals. She could say hers. Yep yep. |
Quote:
"Your hair looks fine," she giggled when she saw him check his reflection. Not that Kurumi was an expert on hair or anything. She always just wore hers up in a ponytail. But, he didn't look like he had just rolled out of bed or anything. "Nice to meet you, Conan." Kurumi couldn't help but giggle again. He shared a name with her favorite detective from a cartoon she had watched back home. "I'm Kurumi." |
Quote:
"Nice to meet you too Kurumi." Why was his name funny? He was Conan. She hadn't heard his middle name yet, that was funny. He was named after a mouse. |
Quote:
"It's fine...I suppose," she said feeling a little relieved that it was just that, fine. Kurumi noticed a slight look of confusion on his face, but decided to bypass that for now since she had already embarrassed herself enough. "Are you...are you also working on Lord Borr's assignment?" she asked pointing to the mirror. "I haven't got much of an idea of what my goals are...besides doing well in my studies that is." |
Quote:
"It's pretty." He didn't know why she was checking it though. It looked pretty already. Or was she just playing with it? It was cute anyway. He nodded, "Yeah. My goals. But I think my goals would be frowned upon in this place." He was always going to be a muggle, no matter what these 'wizards' said. |
Quote:
"Well..." As soon as Katie told him what was wrong, Legend's smile shrunk. That actually was sad. "Every good thing has to come to an end." He said quitely, resting his hand lightly on her shoulder. "And you should listen to that cause...you know I didn't make it up, I heard it somewhere. So that makes it more believable." |
can you spot the (Walt) Disney quote? Quote:
She turned and looked into the mirror where she could see both of their reflections clearly now. She had a lot of dreams, but she often wondered if she stood in from of the Mirror of Erised what would be looking back at her. |
Nika walked in the random corridor looking for something to do. Perhaps she was looking for another slytherin out there to hug. Right, well whatever she was hoping to do her thoughts changed fast as she saw a mirror. She quickly searched her bag remembering that she had some DADA homework that involved a mirror. She read over the task and took a deep breath. "So me," Well if she was supposed to be talking to herself she may as well do it properly. "I need to think of another goal. Something different than last time. Hmmm..." She set her bag down on the floor as she thought. "Oh well I guess one of my goals is to find a chocolate frog card that isn't Godric Gryffindor." It may sound like a silly goal, but Nika was determined. "Well you see me. Hehe I rhymed. Sorry. Well you see, I- I mean we...? Always get the same chocolate frog card everytime!" "And so I, I mean we have to work hard to get another card by ourselves. Meaning no getting cards from others." Okay so even Nika was starting to see how silly this sounded but whatever. "And my solution... TO EAT MORE CHOCOLATE FROGS! Of course!" HEHE. Her way of getting chocolate! |
Jamie had left his DADA assignment rather late, and only imagined the other brainy students to have finished it by now! Whereas all he had accomplished was running and singing the chorus of a song... Failure. But he toddled along to the mirror on the fourth floor, because this was the activity that he felt was the easiest. Looking in the mirror happened every few hours for Jamie. He was hawt. Right. The mirror was standing right here in front of him. And even though he knew that every other student had to do this, too, he still felt like an idiot. Talking to yourself was a sign of madness, wasn't it not? Oh well... He really needed to learn not to care about looking stupid. ... And he had to accept that he just was stupid. Plain and simple. Sighing, Jamie grinned at himself in the mirror, showing off his teeth. Merlin, those were good teeth. Now, a goal? As a little third year, who had yet to prove himself, he had many, actually. "Oh, hi, Jamie." GIGGLE. "Well, my main goal is to learn how to fly a broomstick." If anyone saw him at the flying lesson, there was no point denying anymore that he couldn't fly. "And maybe I could eventually sign up for the Quidditch team, and actually get ON the Quidditch team... and... be the star of the team." His vision of Quidditch was himself - and himself only - holding the cup with everyone cheering at him. Maybe that was a bit far fetched, though. Feeling completely filled with self-belief and determination, Jamie seemed to go straight into cockiness. "Of course, if I did learn how to ride a broom, I would be awesome. And then I would become the Quidditch captain." Psshh, there was no doubt about that in his mind. If he wasn't going to be the best, then what was the point in trying to be second best? Woah, shockingly, this mirror experience had actually egged him on. He had egged himself on. Because before, he was too afraid to even think about himself flying ever again, but now he had that drive inside of him. Now, how could he bring himself to achieve this? "I think I need to... attend flying lessons." Because he was actually planning on skiving out of them all... "Listen to the Professor, practice, and believe in myself" That had to be one of the cheesiest things he had ever said. Nodding as he finished his chat with himself, Jamie turned quickly on his heel and darted off down the corridor. That was, of course, after flashing himself a grin and a wink. |
BLAH post <.< Quote:
The corners of her lips tugged upward the tiniest bit, resisting a snort at his words. Yeah, she knew he didn't come up with that. She had heard that saying before too, and Legend wasn't that good. "I didn't expect to care, though." That was the problem. Katie hadn't thought it would matter. If anything, she should be happy, right? "Anyway.. what are up to, really?" |
Quote:
What was he up to? Legend shrugged again. Avoiding the question. Being around a sad Katie wasn't fun. Suddenly an idea popped into his head. His lips came together, forming a big grin. "Do you want to have fun Katie?" |
Quote:
He shrugged. Katie wasn't sure what to make of that, except maybe he was merely wandering back toward his common room with the sandwich? Given, the sandwich didn't make it that far. And suddenly, he was grinning. Katie's eyebrows raised the slightest bit, a look of uncertainty presenting itself. "Sure, why not?" Though she agreed, it came out a bit cautiously. Something told her Legend definitely had something in mind, and that wasn't always a good thing. |
Nika retraced her footsteps from the last time she had wandered off and ended up in a corridor where she found a mirror. It came in handy actually. Truth is she needs it again. Yes, she needs it for DADA homework. The homework that seems to be taking up most of her life at this point. AHA! Mirror!! Found you at last! Nika ran up to the mirror and almost hugged it. THen she realized it was a mirror so she backed up. "Alright mirror what goal shall I focus on today?" It's a good thing that Nika actually has a lot of goals. This way it's not that hard for her to do this one assignment. Or else talking about a different goal every week might have been hard. "OH I KNOW!" She said jumping up in her excitement. "So mirror, you might not know, but today is hug a slytherin day." She said talking to herself/the mirror. "It's basically a competition to see who can hug the most Slytherins and I've hugged 23 so far!" She said puffing up her chest proudly. "My goal is to win the competition." Yes, Nika is quite competitive. "I really want to beat everyone so I can have bragging rights! The only thing is that a lot of Slytherins don't really like hugs. But it's okay because it's a lot of fun seeing all of their reactions. I think that I can accomplish my goal if I keep hugging as many as I see! I think I have the top number right now anyways. I have to check with the others to be sure though." She said. She droned on talking about the day for a long time. Making sure to mention how she was going to hug them all. She was planning to look for some more at the lake and maybe in the courtyard. Fee had told her that the snakes like to be around those places. When her little self talk finished she smiled at her reflection then skipped away in search of more of the snakes. |

There! She wanted to do something fun. Legend reached out and grabbed her hand. "Alright then! Let's dance! Dancing is fun right?" Plus he needed to dance to times in one week and he had only danced once. This was tiring but he needed to do it. Music? He still didn't figure out how to do that. Maybe Katie would know. |
Now, Braeden was definitely not a vain, shallow boy. But when he walked down the corridor and found that mirror, he simply had to stop and take a look. There was a bruise the size of China to the right side of his forehead. The boy grimaced at the sight of it. He looked like he was in the middle of a metamorphosis that would end with him looking like Frankenstein. Or any other green monster. The Gryffindork was just about to turn and move on with his life, when he noticed: the mirror was very slightly askew. And there seemed to be an opening behind it. Ooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh? What's THIS?! The goofiest and most lopsided of grins now took over Brae's face. MWAHA! He'd just found a secret passageway! Oh, just wait 'til everyone in the common room hears about this… Eagerly, the lanky boy pushed the mirror just enough so that he could fit through the secret opening. Except the opening was blocked. Because of a cave in. NOOOOOOOOOO! ;____; His hopes and dreams! DESTROYED! Alright, maybe that was an exaggeration, but… he was definitely let down. With a sigh of disappointment, Braeden began to move the large and heavy mirror back to place. But because he was a butterfingers, the mirror ended up slipping from his hands and the very corner of it landed right on his big toe. Oh yeah. "GYAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!" Mirror: 87839755 | Braeden: 0 |

Cursing under her breath (never the most lady like), Alfie helped him removed the large wall ornament from his toe. "Is your toe gonna fall of--" she began to ask, her gaze wandering up to his own features only to find....what was that? A bruise? What was with this kid? "Wow. You are...really good at getting injuries, eh?" |
Quote:
Biting at his bottom lip to keep himself from wailing obnoxiously, the Gryffindork turned to the girl that came up to him at that moment. He'd never seen her before but didn't worry about introductions too much - his toe had just been brutally cut off the rest of his body! Well, not literally… but that's how it felt. As the blonde girl asked if his toe was going to fall off, Braeden could only nod. He couldn't even speak because parting his lips would only lead him to wailing like a newborn. Instead, the boy gathered all of his strength (which wasn't much), and pushed the cursed mirror off his toe, letting it hang still and happy on the wall. His reflection seemed to mock him from the mirror; Braeden merely glared at it. Then the girl was saying something about him being talented at injuring himself. Brae's bushy eyebrows furrowed at first, but then he understood what had gotten her to make that comment. "Oh… this…" His gaze went up, as if he could see the bruise sitting just above his eyebrows. "Yeah, it's one of my many talents. Amongst divination and tying shoelaces," said the boy with one of his goofy grins. He then sat down on the cold floor of the corridor and warily began to untie his sneakers. Time to see the damage. |
SPOILER!!: Braeden! Alfie's blue eyes seemed to follow the boy's as he stared up towards his forehead, listening as he explained that getting injured was one of his many talents; along with divination and tying shoelaces. Her eyebrows rose just slightly as she gave a vague nod of understanding, giving a weak smile to this unknown boy who had nearly just cut off his own toe via mirror. She couldn't help but allow her smile to widen as he gave her a sort of goofy grin, growing slightly amused with how he was taking this. When she had come over it'd seemed as though he was going to start wailing, now he was grinning and...sitting on the floor? Still standing, Alfie watched as he plopped onto the floor and began to untie his shoes, quickly realizing that she was about to see a wound. The girl had never really been squimish though, so she only flinched very slightly as she realized his motives. And, feeling rather strange just standing there watching him, she took a seat a few feet from the kid, her blue eyes curiously watching as he began to remove his shoe. What if it had really been cut off? She'd heard of stuff like that happening, but... What if his toe actually like...rolled out of his shoe?! The girl's expression grew a little more disturbed by these thoughts, quickly diverting her gaze to the actual kid she was currently sharing the floor with. Upon scrutinization, she quickly realized he wasn't so much a kid. In fact, he had to be older than her by at least a year. She couldn't help but get a bit of a kid-like vibe from him though, from the way he was plopped onto the floor untying his laces, and how he had announced earlier a few of his talents. She then returned her attention to the foot at hand, her blonde eyebrows furrowed just slightly as she grew more interested about what kind of damage the mirror had done. She wished she had something witty to say, something to fill this silence with, but she was never good at saying the right thing. |
Quote:
Oh Merlin, gross. He made a face at his own thoughts, vaguely aware of the blonde girl now joining him on the floor. Once the shoe was off, Braeden tossed it aside. It hit a random little first year that was walking by. "Oh, sorry!" But the first year merely ran off looking for a teacher to complain to. And now, all that was left to remove was the sock (which had a pattern of little lion heads; Gryffindor pride all the way). Braeden began to remove the sock slowly, warily. He was a little nervous but extremely curious about what he might find under there. The sock was slightly tainted pink around the big toe, so whatever damage the mirror had caused, it had definitely caused some minor blood loss. "The moment of truth," announced Braeden with his goofy grin as he looked up at the blonde for a moment before returning his gaze to his foot. And then he pulled off the sock abruptly. "GARRHGHHH--URRRGHH!" The sight was gruesome. Poor Braeden's toe had swollen up fast as it stood about three times larger than its twin on the boy's other foot. It was bright red and purple and green, and the toenail was bleeding slightly, a texture on it as if it had been shattered. Yeah, alright. Forget dinner. Braeden was not going to be able to eat after seeing this. The boy squirmed and twisted his features at the sight, pushing himself back on the floor, but no matter how far away he slid, the gruesome toe followed him. Obviously. |
Quote:
Completely focused on the boy's foot, she hardly noticed that the shoe he had thrown hit someone until she heard a squeak of sorts off to the side. Her blue eyes widened as she saw a first year running off down the hall, letting out an involuntary chiming chuckle and quickly covering it up with her hand. That was mean, wasn't it? Definitely not funny...definitely not. Her attention quickly redirected back to the boy's foot which was now solely covered in a sock patterned with lions. Lions? She looked to the boy's robes and quickly realized why; a Gryffindor. Oh. That was why. She took note of the pink around the toe, quickly realizing that this meant blood. Once again, the girl was far from squimish, and merely leaned a bit more forward as he actually began to remove his sock. Well, the girl was curious! That was...until the sock was actually off. "OH-KAY!" she announced in unison with the boy's own yell of distaste. That was the most disgusting thing she'd ever seen! She quickly covered her eyes with one of her pale hands, but of course peeked through a space between a couple of her fingers, finding that she had scooted back a foot or so. And yet, she was still a bit curious. It was three times the size of what it should've been! The toenail practically looked like a spiderweb in pattern! "That's pretty gross," she admitted with a bit of a grimace, allowing her hand to fall as she grew uncomfortably accustomed to the sight of the thing. Before she had to look at it too long, the boy had started scooting further and further back on the carpet, obviously moving the toe with him. She let out a light laugh as she realized he was trying to get away from his own toe and sort of crawled over to him. "Oh would you stop moving, you'll wipe it against something and knock the whole toenail off!" she complained on behalf of his own toe, grabbing his ankle (obviously dropping the natural boundaries that came with a stranger) and pulling it back towards her. "Would you just let me see it?" she muttered, assuming that if she got a better look at it, she could see how bad it actually was. |
Quote:
HIS TOE! His precious toe! It was gone! Some… nasty, hideous, green-purple-black-red thing stood in its place, mocking him with its big, fat hideousness. Ughhhhhhhh. It was disgusting. And it wouldn't stop following himmmm! ;_______; You'd think that Braeden would be a little smarter than this, but when panic took over, his brain seemed to just kinda shut down. Not that he was all that brilliant even when he was calm, anyway. "YEEE--UUUHHARGH!" Braeden looked absolutely horrified when the blonde girl mentioned the idea of wiping his toe against something and knocking the whole toenail off. As if the thing wasn't gross enough as it was, he just had to give himself a visual of her words and disturb himself for life. And then the girl was pulling him back by the ankle. "GAHH!" For a very brief second there, Braeden thought it was the toe that was pulling him back, but then he saw the girl's hand on his ankle and suddenly the world seemed to make sense. He watched as she examined the thing that had once been his toe and grew quiet. He couldn't stop staring at the dratted toe. He kinda wanted to take a picture of it and send it to Mum and Dad just 'cause it was that cool. Gross and scary and disgusting, yeah, but cool. How often did someone hurt their toe that bad, eh?! Braeden waited for the blonde girl to really get into his foot before deciding to cause mischief. "Wanna kiss it? Make it all better?" he suggested with one of his goofy grins, lifting his leg slightly so that the deformed toe grew closer to the girl's face. BAHAHAHA, HAR HAR HAR. He was so funny. Not. It was this kind of behaviour that left him with broken noses and handprints on his cheeks. |
Quote:
Instead of squealing and pushing the foot aside, the young girl simply turned her expression to face him with raised blonde eyebrows. Luckily for him, Alfie didn't get her kicks from slapping or punching boys; rather, she wanted to see how torturous it would be for him if he thought she would actually place her lips on his toe. Afterall, he didn't know her. Maybe she was some kind of freak that went around kissing people's toes, he didn't know that she wasn't. Sure, he was joking, and of course Alfie would never set her lips on his disgusting toe. But she could make him think that she would. Slowly but surely, Alfie got closer and closer to his toe, her blue eyes flashing between his gaze and the actual toe, attempting not to gag. She hoped that he would have some form of reaction before she actually got within inches of the most disgusting wound she'd ever set eyes on. But she stayed in her serious expression, nearing the toe with her lips pursed as though about to follow his instruction. |
Quote:
Then Braeden thought about what he'd said. Then Braeden panicked. Oh no, he'd done it again! He was going to get punched, wasn't he?! Or slapped, or kicked, or… OR!! She was going to drop his foot and let it fall to the floor and shatter into a million little pieces! Noooooooo! As he realized all these terrifying options, Braeden decided to pull his foot away. And then the blonde girl began to lean in toward it. Uhhh… what? Was she… No way was she really going to-- OHMYGOSH SHE WAS GOING TO KISS HIS TOE! In a flash, Braeden pulled his foot and leg back from the girl, back to the safety of his personal space. "Are you crazy?!" he exclaimed, as if he hadn't been the one to suggest she kiss it in the first place. At least he'd been joking though, this girl looked like she was dead serious about having a snogging session with his deformed toe! Shudder. He was sure the girl was probably a great kisser and all, but he seriously didn't want to witness his toe getting more action than he himself had gotten in months. That was as pathetic as you could get. "Y--You know what? I think it'll be fine if I just leave it alone for a bit…" muttered Braeden with a weak smile as he picked up his sock. Alright… honestly? Braeden didn't want to go to the hospital wing. He had a bad feeling Healer Moretti held a grudge against him for visiting her at least twice every month for the past six terms. So he was hoping to avoid her. Hence why he was walking around the school bruised up and with broken bones - there was no way he was going to the hospital wing again. And last time he tried to prepare a healing potion he almost ended up poisoning himself, so the safest thing to do now was to simply let his injuries heal themselves with time. Which required more patience than he posessed. |
Quote:
"ARE YOU crazy?!" she countered as soon as she got her breath back, sitting back up with an honest grin on her face. "Yeah, I was just going to sit here and snog your bruised zombie toe," Alfie agreed sarcastically, nodding her head with amusement written clearly on her features. "Did you honestly think that?" She couldn't help but smile at this, very pleased with herself for pulling off the charade. And thank Merlin he had caved first, she didn't want to have to get any closer to that toe. She shook her head with an amused smile, leaning back onto her palms as she watched him put his sock back on, amusement still written on her expression. "Well I can't just leave you here to limp around on your mutant toe," Alfie reminded him with slightly raised eyebrows, her laughter at bay now, though a smile still on her features. "I think the Hospital Wing might be the best option at this point." |
Quote:
And then the toe-kissing girl was suggesting the Hospital Wing. THE HOSPITAL WING. Braeden threw himself back and gasped in a most lady-like fashion, brown eyes going wide as saucers and brows furrowing. It was like the girl had just suggested suicide. "N--no," muttered the boy, clearing his throat as he tried to regain his composure. "I--I think it should… it should be fine if I leave it alone…" Besides, he had his nurse Ellie and his babysitter Emma to help him. He wasn't about to admit that aloud, though. "Maybe a spell, or a potion… I'll be fine." He flashed the blonde one of his goofy grins and tried to get up to his feet. The keyword here being tried. |
Quote:
"Are you mad?!" Alfie suggested with wide blue eyes, her mouth having been open slightly to respond to his feelings on the Hospital Wing, but now she was speaking about a whole other issue. She scrambled to her feet in the next second, closing the distance between them so she could grab the wobbly boy's arm with a surprisingly gentle grasp. That was, until she realized she couldn't necessarily do it all by herself. "Oh, c'mon Strange Boy I Haven't Even Met," Alfie muttered as she started to slowly pull him up to his feet. "Work with me here!" She quickly realized that even if they got him to his feet, how far would they get with just her to lean on for support? There wasn't a chance he could put any pressure on that foot of his, and she didn't know any particularly good healing spells at the moment. "Do you have any male friends I could find that could help me here?" she asked with raised blonde eyebrows, still in the process of getting him to his feet. Or...one of his feet, really. "Or a really strong female friend?" Not that the boy was heavy, it was just that he seemed much taller than herself, a good year or two older, and had at least a few pounds on her. A little help would be nice. |
Quote:
"Wh--what?! I'm not mad, I'm perfectly fine," he said, not sure why him standing up should be such a big deal. Psh. Standing was easy enough. Now, how was he going to walk on one foot? Oh. So this is why she had freaked out. Well, he could try hopping his way up the stairs and over to the common room, but… that would be quite the work-out for a scrawny boy who's never even seen a gym. Besides, if he went to the common room, Ruby might take advantage of his inability to run away and crucio him or something of the sort. Shudder. And then the girl was asking him to work with her. Huh? Oh. He realized at that moment he'd just kind of been leaning on her, staring off into space thinking about hiding places without holding any of his own weight himself. Oops. "Oh; sorry, Strange Girl That Kisses Toes," he replied with a lopsided grin, shifting his weight over to the good foot. As the girl asked if he had any male friends that could help her or any really strong female friends, Braeden looked off into space once more and put on a thoughtful face. Well. He had Roderigo, Riley, and Theo… he had no clue where they were now, though. And as for strong girls, well, he was sure Ruby could probably lift a horse all on her own, but she wasn't going to help him get anywhere. Except maybe the stairs. So she could push him down and into his death. Nah, he'd rather find someone good with potions and spells to just heal him on the spot, and he could only think of three people who could help with that - Emma, the babysitter; Ellie, the nurse; and Caroline. Caroline was probably with her boyfriend, and he felt bad having Ellie heal him yet again. And Emma… A dorky grin spread across his face now. Well, he'd really love to see her… OH CRAP. EMMA. Oh no! He'd promised to be her dance partner for Berty Borr's assignment! How was he going to do any dancing with a mutant toe on one of his feet?! Oh no… noooo… he was going to have to go to the Hospital Wing if he wanted this fixed ASAP. Anyway, he felt bad having this girl he didn't even know babysitting him. Merlin, he was a hopeless case. "If I could borrow a quill and some parchment that'd be great. I'll send a note to someone and they'll come fetch me. I think I might have to go to the Hospital Wing after all…" Sob. "You don't have to stay and babysit me," he added, "But before you go, you should tell me your name." He flashed her a goofy grin. He couldn't call her Strange Girl That Kisses Toes forever. It was too long. |
Quote:
Alfie gave a small smile to herself, finding him to be a bit amusing, and listened as he then asked to borrow a quill and some parchment so he could sent off a note to someone that could take him to the Hospital Wing. She gave a brief nod and an amused sigh; well something had made him keen to the Hospital Wing suddenly... "Right," she muttered, ducking out of his arm's hold where she had been helping him stand and starting down the corridor for a moment. She turned back for a moment as he continued speaking, explaining that she didn't have to stay and babysit him, but she should at least tell him her name. Her blonde eyebrows rose just slightly at this before she turned around and ran over towards her bookbag. The girl returned moments later with a piece of blank parchment and a quill, handing it over to this boy who still didn't know her name, and vice versa. "I'm Alfie," she admitted as she handed over the supplies, quickly realizing that it seemed a bit out of the blue as he'd asked for her name a minute or so ago. "That's my name," Alfie quickly explained in case he didn't catch that. "Alfie." She gave a brief nod with a small smile, taking a step back and taking a seat on the floor once more. "And...honestly, I'd rather stay if you don't mind," the girl muttered, glancing at the floor momentarily before returning her eyes to his own. "This is kind of the most interesting thing that's happened to me since I got here." She flashed him a weak smile before returning her attention to the floor. |

Even so, Katie wasn't going to protest. Slipping her hand out of his and turning, the curly-haired brunette set the books that she had been holding against her chest down next to the wall, dropping her bag on top. Never mind the fact they were in the middle of an deserted corridor, she held her hand back out for him to take. "Can you dance without music?" Katie asked, picking up on the lack of noise around them. It was actually very quiet, except for their voices. And even then, they weren't being loud. They weren't shouting at each other, like they had throughout their first five years in the castle. "Oh, and Legend? You had better not even think about jumping in to the lake." |
Quote:
"Been there! Done that! Last week and this one. Freezing cold." He shivered as he thought about the lake. It was horrible. But he guessed all the swimming when he was younger helped him overcome the cold of the water. He thought of the swimming as a race. He had to get to the end to win. And Legend loved to win. "So guess what?" |

The blonde girl had ducked from under his arm so suddenly and unexpectedly, that Braeden had no time to move all of his weight over to his good foot, and instead ended up falling to the floor, falling flat on his bum. Owwwwwwwww. Yeah, the disadvantage of being scrawny? Every fall hurt more. Poor Brae looked like he might just burst into tears any second; first his toe was throbbing, now his behind had shattered. What was next? Oh yeah, and he still had that huge bruise on his forehead. Merlin. Did Hogwarts have any superlatives for 'most likely to break every bone before the age of 20'? 'Cause he might just win that one. Using his hands to push himself around, Braeden scooted over closer to the wall, so he could rest his back against it. He watched the blonde girl run off to what he could only assume were her belongings, before she returned to him with the parchment and quill he'd requested. Braeden flashed her a lopsided grin. "Thanks." He took the parchment and quill and quickly began scribbling on it with his chicken scratches he called handwriting. As he wrote, the girl introduced herself as Alfie. Brae looked up from the parchment looking a bit puzzled before she explained that that was her name. Oh! "Alfie…" he muttered, as if making a mental note to remember the name. "I'm Braeden. Braeden Stonem. Sixth year Gryffindor… well, most call me Gryffindork, but yeah… House of the lions." His grin widened with pride. He was Gryffindor's very own cowardly lion; the one that always ran at the speed of light when things got scary. Exactly how he'd ended up in the House of the brave was still a mystery to all that knew him. "What House are you in?" And then Alfie was confessing that she'd rather stay. Brae's bushy eyebrows raised in surprise. Oh well whaddaya know, his misfortune had made someone's day a little more interesting. Well, good. Something good had come out of it. "Why's that? I thought people stabbed their toes around here everyday!" he said, obviously joking. He was the only doof that these things happened to. "Hogwarts is very interesting. You'll learn to love it, you'll see. Despite the bruises and potions gone wrong and the bullies and the spells gone haywire… it's really not a bad place." |
Quote:
It was then that Braeden's large eyebrows rose and he jokingly asked why she found this interesting, that people nearly broke their toes every day. "Oh yeah, you're the fifth I've found this week," she added teasingly, shaking her blonde head as she listened to him mention that Hogwarts really wasn't that bad of a place, that she'd learn to love it past the bullies and potions gone wrong. Her eyebrows rose at this, but was able to tell that this Braeden enjoyed joking quite a bit. "I'm sure I'll find my place eventually," she muttered with a soft sigh. "And anyway, about this whole toe problem, I'm not just going to ditch you. Even if I did have something better to do with my time, which I don't, I'd still haul your Gryffindork mutant toe to the Hospital Wing," she assured him, flashing him a teasing grin. "So...Who are you writing to?" Alfie asked after a few long moments of the only sound being the scratching of the quill. She wasn't sure what his plan was; if he was having one of his friends meet him up here, or what. She wondered vaguely if her presence would be a little unwanted, but she couldn't deny that she was a little curious as to who this kid's friends were. |
Quote:
"You will," the boy agreed with a nod as Alfie went on to mention she'll find her place eventually. He was sure she would. Everyone did. He returned his large brown eyes to the parchment he was scribbling on and smiled of his dorky, childlike smiles when the girl went on to say she'd help him get to the hospital wing even if she had something better to do. D'aww. That was very kind of her. "My toe appreciates that," he said, wiggling his toe as if it was nodding in agreement to his words. The gesture was painful though, so with a cringe, he left it alone. And then Alfie was asking who he was writing to. "A friend, Ravenclaw just like you. But I think she's in class right now," said the boy as he signed the note before folding it up and, with a wave of his wand, sending it on its way. Gah. He really hoped she'd be able to help or else… he was doomed. To the Hospital Wing for sure. And now to wait. |
Quote:
When she turned the corner, she saw a very strange scene. Sitting against the wall and next to a shattered mirror was none other than Senor Stonem. He appeared to have...stubbed his toe and Ruby assumed he had shattered the mirror as well because he was very likely to do something like that. There also appeared to be a girl standing over him but Ruby didn't know this girl. Smirking widely, she made her way over to |

My goals, thought Presley as she stared herself down in the mirror. Well, I look like crap today. She was wearing shorts and a purple hoodie, and had done nothing with her hair, and her make-up loked like it had been done by her brother. Focus Presley. This felt so stupid to her, and she almost couldn't bring herself to do it, but it was an assignment. "My short term goals are to pass all of my classes with flying colors, and to learn all of the sports William is trying to teach me. My long term goals include helping Rachel with the mum thing, becoming a fabulous auror, and getting my dad to notice that he has a daughter." There. She was done. That was the dumbest thing she had ever forced herself to do. She looked up to see Alfie and two sixth years. Oops. They had just heard her. She wanted to sink into the ground and die. Nobody was supposed to know those things except her. To everyone else, her life and family were picture perfect. "Uh, er, um, sorry" she mumbled. |
SPOILER!!: Quotes Poor, innocent Brae was starting to feel a little better about his mutant toe. It didn't really hurt so much right now, and hopefully his friend would be able to come and fix it. And all would be well. =) Until Ruby arrived. With brown eyes wide as saucers, Braeden's jaw dropped slightly and he seemed to begin to hyperventilate in his panic. RUBY. COMING TOWARDS HIM. STUBBED TOE. HE-- COULDN'T-- MOVE!!!!!! Panicked like a hamster being chased by a cat, the Gryffindork tried to scramble to his feet, but only ended up hurting his toe in the process. "GAH! OW!" Nooooooo! NOOOOOOOOOO! The Lioness was coming closer. And closer. AND CLOSER. Looking like a frightened little boy, Braeden looked up as his torturer addressed him. Oh Merlin, she was using the boyfriend-girlfriend talk. This couldn't lead anywhere good. And then she was asking if he needed help. OF COURSE, leave it up to goofy, naive, too-trusting-for-his-own-good Braeden to take that question seriously. "Oh, well… Yeah, I just kin--" "YYYYEEEEEOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!! She stepped on his toe. SHE STEPPED ON HIS TOE. She might as well have crucio'ed the boy! Biting his bottom lip to keep himself from bursting into tears, Braeden pulled his foot back and threw himself back against the wall, arms waving in a wordless way to express his pain. He could've just DIED at that moment. Died. |
SPOILER!!: QUOTES Ruby guffawed openly when Brae howled in pain and laughed even louder when he started flailing his arms. In fact, she laughing so hard she fell on her knees and had to hold her stomach. Wiping fake tears from her eyes, the lioness got up and looked at the damage. "Awww, Brae, it doesn't look that bad!" She lied but the toe looked like it might have been really broken now. Dragging her eyes from the disgusting toe, Ruby turned to the unknown girl who had evidently spoken to her. "That was my intention, genius," She said rather crossly and rolled her eyes. And they said Ravvies were SMART. As if. She turned back to So the evil lioness approached him once again, threatening to crush his other toe with her foot. WHY hadn't she wore her heels today?! |

"Are you trying to make him die?!" Alfie continued, her voice a little loud as she watched Braeden fling himself back into the wall dramatically. "He seems to be doing a pretty good job of that himself!" Sure, she didn't really know either one of them, but she knew that if that toe got any more damaged, it might just fall off. And the last thing any of them needed was Braeden toeless. She was standing now, hovering around the situation with a sort of grimace on her expression. It was then that she registered she'd just been called "sweetums" by the redheaded girl who was now laughing. "And how did I earn that nickname?" she asked, minorly grossed out. OOC: :lmao: The gif helped Dee. |

HEHE. Glad it did! :D SPOILER!!: Ruby & Alfie Braeden's brown eyes were brighter than ever as the tears gave them a sort of glossy look. JESUS CHRIST. How, exactly, was he still alive?! This was a MIRACLE. No one would survive a stomping like that! Brae would've cheered his survival, but right now he was kinda dreading it. At least dead Ruby wouldn't be able to cause him any pain. The Gryffindork winced when Ruby suggested the idea of stomping on his other toe. "Th--that won't be necessary," he said, keeping his feet as close to himself as possible. His toe was throbbing so badly he could barely feel the rest of his body. Just that one dratted toe, that, had it had its own mouth, would be shrieking and wailing like a banshee. GAH. And then Ruby was being rude to Alfie (well, no surprise there; did a person exist on this planet, that Ruby wasn't completely diabolical to?) and Alfie was defending him and everything was just chaos. Awww man. "I--I--I--I--" Okay, he wasn't even sure how to start. "It's--I'm fine, Alfie, don't worry about it," started the boy, "Ruby… she just… she does that." GAHHHHHHH. WHYYY WAS HE EXCUSING HER MURDEROUS BEHAVIOUR!? Dammit. How did he always end up defending Ruby when she was trying to murder him? Snap out of it, Stonem! It was impossible to get mad at her. She must've fed him a potion or something. "Ruby, you shouldn't talk to people you don't know like that…" started the boy once more, this time turning his brown eyes to the redheaded girl. And… was that a smirk on his face? "You wouldn't want me to duplicate and spread" - he dug into his shirt by the collar and pulled out a photograph - "THIS all over the common room again, would you?!" YEAH. THAT'S RIGHT. Brae hadn't kept his word. After going on that torturous date with Ruby and giving her the picture, he kept another copy to himself. PSH. She'd been naive to think he wouldn't keep at least two more copies on him. One in his wallet, and the other somewhere he could reach it quicker and Ruby could never get to it. He wasn't sure the photo would be as effective now as it had been before, but it was all he had to shield himself from the girl's abuse. Dangit. He was going to have to get new blackmailing material PRONTO. |
SPOILER!!: People! "Right, of course Presley," Alfie quickly agreed with a weak smile as the girl explained that she was practicing for one of her classes as she didn't really have those goals. She gave a brief nod, knowing that the girl wouldn't want her to know anything of what she just heard. Luckily for both of them, Alfie only heard the tail end of it, but she was sure Presley wouldn't want to hear even that. She let it drop quickly, flashing her another smile, before turning back to the other situation at hand. There was a whole other situation here than even she had realized. Wow. What exactly were these two? Alfie stood there, blue eyes wide, simply listening as Braeden explained that this was 'just what Ruby did'. Ruby? So that was her name? And she did this on a regular basis?! She remained silent, listening as Braeden threatened to blackmail Ruby with a picture of the two of them (Alfie assumed, she couldn't really see it very well from her spot next to them). And then he was reminding the redhead that the whole school thought they were dating, something he hadn't been denying. Her blonde eyebrows rose at this, quickly realizing this was a situation she probably should sit on the sidelines for. Which was great, because Alfie wasn't so sure she wanted to be in this redhead's way anyway. And she really kind of wanted to watch this play out. |
OOC: Ruby called Brae 'sweetums', sorry for the confusion! x3 SPOILER!!: Alfie and Stonem Ruby raised an eyebrow at the Alfie girl; she was NOT nuts, BRAE was! Wasn't that obvious?! "Make him die?" the redhead repeated and put her finger under her chin as if in deep thought. "No. No, you see, I need him; Ruby advanced on the Gryffindork as he brought his only uninjured toe close to himself. "You suuure, hun?" She asked in her sweet-but-evil voice. She listened to him explain to the blonde about her 'behavior' with sourness. But the redhead flipped when he told her not to talk to people she didn't know like that: "Don't tell me what to do, Stonem!" She said in a shrill voice. And then, she watched with horror as Braeden pulled out--THAT PHOTOGRAPH. Her mouth dropped wide open as she stared at it and then at him. HE HAD LIED TO HER ABOUT GIVING HER HIS ONLY COPY! Ruby fumed; that's it, he was really gonna get it now. She stooped to his level and tried to grab the picture As for the dating rumors, Ruby's face burned. Those weren't as bad as that picture. She had burned the one the Goofball had given to her after their date but she had never considered Brae double crossing her! |
SPOILER!!: quotes Braeden would've teased Ruby for admitting that she needed him, but he had no way to escape right now and so teasing and upsetting the girl probably wasn't the best idea. Luckily for him, though, the photograph scheme worked LIKE A CHARM. Ruby Abigail Blair was in the palm of his hand. Once again. This didn't stop Braeden from pressing himself against the wall as much as possible, though, when the fiery redhead stooped to his level and tried to take the picture, which he quickly snatched back and far from her hands. "What, you honestly thought I'd give you the only copy?!" asked the boy with a grin. WELL, WELL, WELL. Who's naive now?! "No way, babe. I'd never do that. It's the only memory I've got of us, remember? I'd be crazy to let you burn it," he went on, brown eyes now filled with mischief instead of tears. Oh. It felt GOOD to have power over Ruby. However, he still needed to do something about his toe before the girl decided to attack again. Who's to say she won't break his hands next, and then he'd have no way to keep the picture away from her?! Gah. WHERE was Ellie?! Sigh. She was probably in class. He needed his toe fixed. NOW. And he was going to get to the Hospital Wing one way or another. If he could only stand... And so, with Alfie just watching the whole scene with interest and Ruby breathing fire on him, Braeden very awkwardly tried to push himself up to his feet. He kept himself against the wall for balance, and was eventually able to stand. "WELL, ladies," he began with one of his dorky grins as he hopped away from the wall on his good foot. "I appreciate your help" - well, obviously this didn't apply to Ruby - "But I must get to the hospital wing now! I'll just... hop there..." Heh. Yeah... ERR. Braeden hopped his way over to the moving staircase; and he was quite a sight, a tall lanky boy hopping on one leg and flailing his arms for balance, looking like he might fall over any second. However, as he got to the stairs, he had to stop. Merlin have mercy on my soul. If he fell... Yeah. His friends would try their best to give him a proper funeral, he was sure. ;______; |
