While you wait for your turn with the Headmaster, take a seat in one of the comfy couches scattered on either side of the gargoyles. If you're bored, he has thoughtfully provided you with several magazines about exceedingly boring Muggle subjects for your perusal.
Shaking her head once, she said, "Nope. That's why it makes me so anxious just waiting here. I wonder when they'll let us up. Do they even know we're here?" Zara didn't know who was the "they" she was referring to. But there had to be some other guest up there who was visiting too?
"I'm not sure, I guess we just have to wait... Oh, here's Professor Tate now." Aurora sat up straight automatically, it was something that came from meeting a lot of important people and she thought it made her look ridiculous but her mother had assured her it was only polite.

"I don't know who's next, but perhaps we can just all sit down here and chat? Who's next?"
Oh heyyy. HT's come. She looked at the other students, none of them spoke up as Aurora had mentioned. So I guess that makes them next? Zara smiled of respect to the Headmaster and stood up and bowed for some random reason. She just felt like it. Maybe a sign of honor?

Seeing the headmaster come down the steps besides his latest student guest, Simon had thought that perhaps the man was indeed busy and had somewhere else to go. However as Tate spoke deciding to talk down in the seating area for a bit, the seventh year moved over as well, exchanging glances with his friend whom he had just noticed had been hiding there as well. Simon stood quietly, letting the younger students talk first since they had been there longer and he had already had his time, just needed another moment or two.

Oakey tensed up a bit were they even allowed to "just chat" with the big man in charge here. He calmed down a bit when two girls began speaking with Tate.
Oakey recognized the two of them, Zaradaniellezaragriffths and Poison Girl. He waited til they were done asking Tate their question when Oakey finally caught his nerve and brought up his problem.

She looked at Aurora with an expectant look. Zara had no idea how to respond to that. They were....allowed? Whew.

As you are aware, the British Ministry of Magic is running a special training program for those Hogwarts students who intend to choose a career as an Auror within the British Ministry.
At the end of the current school year, we are willing to take up to four (4) trainees into this program. I have included several information and application packs for you and your teaching staff to distribute at your discretion.
The Youth Auror Training Initiative, a supplementary program designed to facilitate practical experience and introduce on-the-job training in an immediate way and at a fundamental level of Auror Training. Aside from a future career as an Auror, this program lays the foundation for several other law enforcement and magical policing career streams across various government departments at a national level and several internationally recognized Wizarding bodies. The program is available only for Hogwarts Graduates, and only upon recommendation by a Hogwarts staff member or current Senior Magical Law Enforcement employee. Only the top Auror applicants are granted this opportunity which requires hard work and dedication and is set in addition to the regular workload of Auror Training at the chosen Ministry sanctioned training facility. Those selected for this honour will be employed on a part-time basis to fit a regular training schedule, and may nominate particular certification areas on which to focus on during their apprenticeship. In order to be considered, the following criteria must be met:
- Hogwarts Graduate or pending Hogwarts Graduate
-Aged 17-19 on the date of application
-Exceptional conduct and behaviour
-Active participation in school activities
- Letter of Recommendation from a Hogwarts Staff Member or Sponsorship from a Senior Magical Law Enforcement Employee
- Exceeds Expectations or Higher in at least 5 NEWT subjects, or judged to be at that standard if NEWT level has not been assessed.
This program is expected to take 2-4 years, depending on the skills of the applicant, and at the discretion of the Head Auror and Department Head of Magical Law Enforcement. Completion of the program to a satisfactory standard guarantees a position with the Auror Office of the British Ministry of Magic.

Wings flapping erratically, Magig swooped into the seating area at speeds only a Scops owl like himself could reach. He was a hungry little owl, but the small package tied to his leg prevented him from hunting for mice. And no matter how hard he tried, (and he had tried many times) he couldn't remove the pesky thing.

A tiny but reaaaaaaaally awesome owl came in and almost crashed at where they were. Whoaaaah. Zara blinked three times, still letting what happened to sink in. Wait, so there was an owl flying around right now in circle who, moments ago, almost landed on Zara.
Right. Now that she got all that in her head she watched as the owl flew in circles. Awww, she just wanted to pet him and play with him and--wait, it was a he right? Zara blinked some more. Oh weeell. Heh, she wanted to catch it. Then play with it. And pet it. And give it owl treats. Her lips stretched into a smile which soon turned into a big wide grin.
"Yes?" Tate settled into one of the chairs, giving them both expectant looks. No reason to stand on ceremony for a topic like that. "So then... you want permission to create a club or organization? You don't need my permission to study together."
Aurora smiled "Well, it's more than just study. It just feels like we should be learning more Defense seeing as Lord Borr isn't actually here and we wondered if we could get a sort of club together and then the older students could help us with basic defense spells and things." she said. "I mean, I suppose it's a little unfair that purebloods brought up in a wizarding family have more experience and stuff than muggleborns and it would be good if we could help eachother..." she trailed off when an owl flew into the area flapping around like a madman.

Simon was vaguely listening to the younger students' conversation with the headmaster seeing as he was near enough to hear. His attention peaked as the Slytherin mentioned a group just as what Jimmy and he had been working on setting up and the seventh year walked closer to make sure his presence was noticed by the older man.
"If I may interupt Headmaster," he politely interjected, adding a polite smile for the younger students. "...thats mainly the reason for my return to your office. In reference to my earlier meeting with you, I have a Ravenclaw seventh year willing to help me plan and lead such a group we just had a few additional questions."
Aurora grinned widely at the Gryffindor boy, wouldn't that just be wonderful! "I thought other people might have the same idea." she stopped talking promptly, realising she was sounding rather over excited.

"Sorry Professor, I don't mean to be as over excited as that owl." She smiled sheepishly and looked to the older boy, had Professor Tate called him Simon? She hoped there were other older students like him who wanted to help them. She made a mental note to ask Iris.

He was curious as to the contents but seeing as it was likely none of his business as it was clearly addressed to the headmaster, he returned his attention to other matters eventually hearing his name being mentioned.

Aurora grinned. "Brilliant!" So her year wouldn't be entirely devoid of DADA training. She realised she was being a little over excited and took a deep breath. "Sorry Professor, I don't mean to be as over excited as that owl." She smiled sheepishly and looked to the older boy, had Professor Tate called him Simon? She hoped there were other older students like him who wanted to help them. She made a mental note to ask Iris.
"It's completely understandable," Tate waved a hand. And she wasn't nearly as spastic and crazy as the owl had been. He had scratches on his hands from clutching the owl.
"Any other concerns?"

The captain took a breath as Headmaster Tate brought the younger students' attention to him as one of the helpful older students willing to assist. "Umm yes as Headmaster Tate mentioned, myself and others like me are offering our assistance to help add to the defense assignment," he replied following Tate's lead from their first meeting and not badmouthing Borr outright. Especially as he hears the man explain how he couldn't officially offer approval.
"With our own experience in lessons we would be mentioning basic defense spells and techniques," he explained, adding that would normally be in the curriculum in his own mind.
"Perhaps when we're done here, you can show them where the Training Room is located," Tate suggested. It was good of Simon to step in and describe his vision, especially as Tate really wanted to be able to deny any knowledge if possible.

Simon nodded hearing the headmaster's suggestion willing to do just that before turning to the man himself. "Actually thats two parts to why I came up here," he said reminded of his purpose other then recruiting younger students interested. "One...Jimmy and I wanted to see if you wanted to check things out if you were free Headmaster," the captain offered giving him the option rather then summoning him like the Ravenclaw had wanted.
"And two...the defense training room is getting rather crowded with students doing Lord Borr's assignments, especially with the cold weather making it hard to do stuff outside. Was there perhaps somewhere else we could work thats just for assisting, so as to maybe avoid people getting hurt with so much different stuff happening?" he asked.
Yeah...go for the man's desire to have students not die.
"Of course," Tate nearly slapped his forehead. How stupid of him. "Actually, Simon here is spearheading an effort to offer additional Defensive training to younger students. Perhaps he can speak more to that effort." He gestured to the older Gryffindor student waiting in the seating area.
Simon. Right. Simon the Gryffindor captain, not that crazy Hufflepuff guy. "Thanks, Headmaster," said Zara with a smile. That was all she needed to know for now.

It probably will, Oakey always tries to keep these names himself but they always slip out. Lucky for Tate Oakey hadn't found a good nick name for him except Headmaster Sir.
Oakey looked over at Zaradaniellezaragriffiths and Poison Girl. Could I join in this little group of yours too? Oakey asked politely.
Then Zara looked at Oakey, who seemed to be talking to her and Aurora. "Erm, sure. It is for everyone who wants to join, right?" she said, biting her lip a bit.

Okay, so he was Simon. OOHHH, was Patroclus gonna be there? Zara held back a grin. "Erm, Captain Simon," was she supposed to call him that? "Who else would be there? You know, the other older students that are gonna teach." PATROCLUS, please. If not, BOO. She smiled sheepishly at the Gryffindor captain.

"I was going to ask Iris, the head girl. I'm sure she'd like to help." Pretty sure anyway, Aurora got the impression that she was the sort of person who hated Lord Borr and would want to help.
