My little dork is so overwhelmed right about now.

Poor Braeden was already off to a messy start. Not only had he managed to dump a few pounds worth of food onto his lap (and he'd been wearing brand new robes, too! ;__; ), but he was surrounded by witnesses, as well.

Oh, Merlin.
Yeah... this wasn't embarrassing at all. So much for starting off his sixth year as the 'wise, all-knowing' upperclassman. Was that a first or second year laughing at him?!
Guess the 'wise' and 'all-knowing' will have to come next term.

The Slytherin did a -gigglesnort- sort of sound and quickly covered her mouth. Daaang where had that come from? "Stuffing our face too fast are we?" she remarked with a smirk type thing on her face. She couldn't help in holding back a few more laughs. Everyone had done that once or twice in their life... maybe three times... still, every time she saw it happened, it she so happened to find it funny.

Braeden, who had a bad habit of forgetting that he owned a wand and attended a magic school (especially after the summer, when he was surrounded by all of his muggle family and neighbors), began to clean himself up with a couple hundred napkins. Which, of course, only made the mess worse.

And then he heard someone teasing him about stuffing his face. At the comment, the boy's brows furrowed slightly. Heyyyyyyy! That wasn't very nice! Just because he was a little... clumsy, and... dorky, and... a klutz, and... hopeless, and...-- Okay, I get it!
Sorry.
The boy looked up at his bully, looking like a kicked puppy at the side of the road, before his brown eyes widened with surprise.
Oh. It wasn't some random, mean, ugly person teasing him. It was a really pretty girl, actually; and, judging by her robes... go figure, a Slytherin. "Can't blame a growing boy-- man, a growing man" - YEAH, 'cause he was a SIXTH year now! He was a man! "for needing food now, can we?" said the boy in his defense, with the slightest hint on his lips of another one of those lopsided grins that made him look like a total, complete, hopeless doofus. Which he kinda was.

The blonde, who was bored at her own table, walked over to the Gryffindor table. Perhaps she would see one of her friends here. And there was one. The adorkable, cute brunette. Braeden Stonem. She called his name and it seemed as if he dropped something on himself.. Oh dear. Emma hadn't seen Braeden since Sugarplums and there encounter ended quite quickly actually. She couldn't really remembered what had happened. Did they manage to catch up? She wasn't a hundred percent sure.

The fourth year saw an open seat next to him. "Hey Brae, can I sit here please? Sorry about calling your name and making you... spill your food.." she said, sheepishly. She always managed to catch people at the worst time these days. The blonde beamed him a warm smile. She pulled her wand and pointed to the mess he had made and whispered the charm for the scourgify spell. It cleaned up the mess immediately. "There we go. All better."

Ahh, and then there was another Slytherin in sight! This one just as pretty as the last, but a little nicer as she immediately proceeded to clean the hopeless boy's mess. Braeden's brown eyes lit up at the sight of his now-sparkling-clean robes and turned to Emma with the widest of grins. "Merlin... thanks for that, Em. Always there to save the day, aren't you?" he said with a soft chuckle. It was true, though. It seemed almost every time Brae was too dull to remember his wand, Emma was always there performing magic with more grace and knowledge than most of the professors at the school.
Kinda put the sixth year boy to shame, but he didn't care.

"Uh... no, actually, I was reserving that seat for my pet dragon," said Braeden seriously as Emma asked if she could sit beside him. And then he laughed - okay, maybe it hadn't been THAT funny, but he thought he was hilarious. "I'm joking, 'course you can sit here. I need my babysitter around when I'm doing risky things... like having dinner..." he trailed off with a chuckle. Aw shucks, I'm full of jokes today. Har har har.

She plopped down into a random seat, piling food of all kinds onto her plate. She hadn't eaten like this since well... since the last feast. She turned her head as she heard a slight yelp coming from an older boy next to her, and couldn't help but laugh a little as she noticed the food dripping slowly to the floor from his lap. "Need some help?" she said politely. Just because it was funny didn't mean she had to rub it in.

Awww look, it was a cute little first or second year... laughing at him...
Wait, what?! Laughing?! Yeah, okay, it wasn't embarrassing at all when even the younger students were laughing at you. Poor Brae looked like the younger Gryffindor had just punched him in the face.

As the little girl offered to help him, though, the boy couldn't help but smile. "That's alright, my babysitter here is taking care of me," he said, gesturing toward the pretty blonde sitting at his other side before turning back to his plate which was now empty. He considered re-filling it, but thought better of it... He still had to eat, but he was going to have to take it slow this time.

Ariella happily made her way to the Gryffindor table. She was so glad that she had gotten into the house she wanted. But there was one small problem--she didn't know anyone!

Emma raised her eyebrow. Brae sounded so.. serious. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAA? Pet dragon? she thought and then burst out into laughter as she took a seat. Oh dear.. "Well poor pet dragon." she replied, with an amused smile on her lips. Once again the blonde Slytherin's eyebrows raised. "Did you just call me your babysitter?" she asked, feeling a little offended but she didn't really care. Did he really think of her like an older sibling? The blonde changed to a different conversation. "So how was the train ride up here?"

The blonde smiled at the young firstie and waved. "Hi, I'm Emma Malfoy. Fourth Slytherin and I guess I'm his babysitter." she said, smirking.

Ginny couldn't believe it. She had actually been sorted into Gryffindor! Her own mother had been in this house, and her mother was braver than anyone she knew.
Although a small thought kept prodding out in Ginny's mind - she wasn't brave. She had barely held up a conversation with the nice girl on the train, and she had yet to find any new friends. How was she brave?
The thoughts seemed to soar from her brain as she looked at the long, brooding Gryffindor table.
But where to sit??

Going around and looking at the folks faces, maaaay just be a creepy thing to do. What if he had been older then he said and just lying to her?!!! Ehh... he didn't seem the lying type.

You know, for the most part.

Suddenly she bumped into someone as she attempted to squeeze through the kids who were standing up. "Ohh I am sooo sorry," she apologized to the boy, patting him on the head. Darn her backside. Hehe suuure this kid wasn't a first year, yet it was in her nature to pat people on the head.

Jai felt someone bump into him. Turning around he saw a girl frantically apologising before she patted him on the head. Without much thinking his hand flew up and took hers brought it down gently before saying,"Yeah, it's ok. Just don't pat me on the head. It's weird."

Zara could hardly believe it! One moment, she was so enchanted by the greatness of Hogwarts, next thing she new she was sorted into Gryffindor! Not that she wasn't expecting it, since her parents are from Gryffindor so as we speak, but at least she wouldn't have to worry about being called the "black sheep" of the family.

Now, she was sitting down at the Gryffindor House Table, internally chanting a happy song. But after her song had died out, she realized something, 'I don't know anyone here! Who could I possibly talk to? They all seem to have found a friend, and others already formed groups from years ago.' And so Zara frowned.

Tayla couldn't stop grinning after the Sorting Hat called out 'Gryffindor!' when it was her turn. She sat at the Gryffindor table and looked around for anyone she may have already met from the train.

"Hello there," Tayla greeted the girl next to her. "My name's Tayla. I think I've seen you on the train before."

"Well there are a lot of new professors this year from the looks of it. But my favorite professor by far is Professor Bishop! Nika saw a confused looking little Gryffie wandering around the table. Oh another mission for the new Hogwarts welcoming committee. Well, okay it's not an official group, but after all of the introductions Nika had gone through today she sure felt like she should be apart of it. She waved to the girl and gestured for her to come near.

I really do think though that I am getting much better at being less accident prone and coordinated." Selina said putting her elbow on the table. Just then her elbow slipped out from underneath her and her face hit the table with a smack. "Ooof!" Her elbow had been pushed out from underneath her when she had put her elbow directly in the butter dish. So much for coordination.

Being an only son and had archeologists for parents he didn't really get close to anyone except for Cassie when they spent the entire summer running around Italy together. It was one of the few times he felt like he had a friend. But Jai had a feeling that that would change. This place seemed filled with really friendly people. People who said hello and how are you. The castle itself seem to smile at him. He was excited about his classes and his new professors.

PattyH. 05-03-2011 02:57 AM

Grab him whilst his hot!

Patroclus arrived at the table, and he may have been wearing new robes, but he wasn't wearing a smile.

The first sight that had befallen him as he entered the Great Hall was the staff table, and whilst Zooky and Professor D were still there, Smexy Maya was gone, and having only just found, the spot that should have been Professor Magnus' looked all the more depressing without her!

As the First years were sorted he tried his best to smile and applaud them as they joined his house, but it was hard, Saylen had been like a mother to him, and Magnus had helped him navigate through a rather embrassesing time of his teenage life; crushes. But they had moved on, and he needed to do the same; remember, never forget, but move on.

"Well Done First Year Lions!"
he called in a roaring voice!

I mean I've been trying really hard to work on my coordination for extra stealth on the broomstick. You know just simple stuff.

Violet gracefully walked towards the Gryffindor table in her light grey Mary Janes humming a little bit as she did so. Her violet eyes scanned over almost every Gryffindor at the table. But there was ONE particular Gryffindor Violet was looking for, a redhead name Selina Skylar. And within a matter of seconds Violet found her and gasped quickly scurrying over to her and then plopped down next to her saying,"Selina Skylar! Ahh!" Violet wrapped her arms around her best friend giving her a hug happily.

"Yes I am," Tayla replied, liking how cheerful and friendly Nika was. "What year are you in?"

Simon noticed her blush and felt a little sheepish himself, doing his best to hide it though. He wasn't entirely sure but he had noticed girls blushing more around him especially a few in particular and he couldn't help but wonder if it was because of him. "You're welcome," he said as Selina thanked him for the compliment however hesitant it was. "Hmm...we shall have to see if it helped," he mused after listening about to say something more when he could only watch as the incident happened.

"You ok?" he asked her quietly, holding out a cloth napkin to her seeing as she had landed her elbow in a dish and he wasn't sure if anything had made its way on her.

Selina heard the click of heels as she fiddled with the hem of her shirt. Something about the fabric under the tips of her fingers were comforting. She had run her soft finger tips across this fabric so often last year when she had gotten nervous, excited, bored. It was just a natural habit of hers now. She didn't even want to think about when she was older and she could no longer wear this uniform without being put in St. Mungo's for being a looney.

The clicks grew louder and louder as she continued to play with the fabric. Once she was about to look up at the table and rejoin the living world a pair of arms snaked around her frame and Selina yelped, "Don't kill me Elektra!" Opening her eyes she saw it was Violet and she relaxed, "Oh it's just you. Well don't you look fabulous in your uniform little miss second year?"

Selina had officially never been so embarrassed in her entire life. She was face down on the cold wooden table while she was sure every single Gryffindor was snickering at the little redhead. Just when she was sure she had her faculties in order with Simon she literally put her elbow in the butter. How dumb was she? She contemplated for a moment just staying with her head on the table and never surfacing for air, but eventually decided against that plan of attack.

Sitting up slowly Selina's face was bright red, redder than her hair. "My pride is slightly wounded, but I think I'm okay. Does my face look okay?" Selina asked sheepishly taking the napkin and cleaning off her butter smeared robes. Then she remembered she was a witch and drew out her wand. With a quick swish she said, "Scourgify!" Her robe was clean like nothing had happened... but Selina knew something did happen.
