"Hi Rose" Thomas called "sit with us!"

'Kay' Rose said 'When do you think lessons will begin?' Rose said excitedly

"Walnut will be glad to hear that Mr. Panda is back to normal size. I think that he is the only one who can make Walnut feel like he isn't kind of the common room to be honest," she said giggling a bit.

"Oh? You've got an owl now? That's fantastic! I kind of want one myself, but Walnut is enough of a handful for me." Which was probably the understatement of the century.

Then, Kurumi's eyes glazed over when she saw the chocolate frogs come out of Heather's pockets. She STILL wasn't entirely over last year's Charms lesson where they had had to banish more chocolate frogs than she ever wanted to see in a life-time. Still, not wanting to insult Heather, she took the frogs. "Thank you," she nodded looking at the packaging and remembering the wizard card she had found in one last term. "I...I kept to myself on the train mostly."

"Father is doing well. He seems to be liking his post with the newspaper...almost obsessed really."
Kurumi stared at Selina and tried not to let her jaw dropped too far downwards.

Her...try out for Quidditch? Kurumi's hand immediately flew to Selina's forehead to give it a quick temperature test. "No...no fever," she said slowly removing her hand. "I don't really think I am Quidditch material Selina. I only learned last year that that one ball isn't called a waffle after all."

Matilda: Hi Thomas.Outch it hurts so much my stomachache I mean.

Hugo looked up and smiled as he heard his name. With a smile on his face he skipped over to his Gryffie friends. He liked Gryffindors. They were the best mates. "Selina," he said happily as he joined his friends. "It's been a while! How have you been? How was your summer?" he asked. His mood brightened now that he was with his friends.

As he sat down and made himself comfortable, he heard another voice speaking to him from the other side. Ahh, it was the prefect who was always so very nice to him. "Patroclus," he said with a smile as he approached. "I'm doing very good, better actually now that I'm with you Gryffindors," he said. "How are you? Did you do anything fun over the summer?" he asked and glanced over to the empty seat of Berty Borr. It was still weird from Hugo's perspective. It didn't add up. He glanced back and saw a rather sad girl setting a box of cookies on the table. It broke Hugo's heart to see her like that. Should he approach her? He was good at cheering girls up, right?

Hugo walked over to her. There was no point in asking if she was alright. She clearly wasn't and asking was probably a pointless start to a quickly ending conversation. So he just sat down and shot a gentle smile at her, hoping she'd catch it. The cookies looked delicious, but there was one ingredient missing.

...Love.

Selina swatted Kurumi's hand off of her forehead. Spitting out some of her red hair that was wrapped up in her mouth after Kurumi checked her fever, "No! I don't have a fever. I'm serious. You should try out. What's the worst that happens? You don't make the team. That's it. Come on just try out for me?" Selina made the cutest face she could and batted her eyes.

Kurumi noticed Hugo smiling out of the corner of her eye and returned the favor. It was nice to see that and hint of purple had finally vanished from his skin. Here's to hoping that whoever took over the post of Herbology professor wouldn't make them do insane tasks like Professor Vindictus had. "Hello Hugo," she smiled. "I have Ravenclaw cookies as well if those will suit you better?"

What's the worst that could happen? Well, falling off her broom and snapping her neck was perhaps the worst thing that could happen....or some variation that ended with her falling off her broom.

"I...I....I'll think about it," she said sipping on her pumpkin juice.

'So, how are you Thomas?' Rose asked whilst picking up some food.

"To tell you the truth, Mr. Panda's going to be moving a lot around this year." Heather said, eating one chocolate frog. "We'd have to spend most of our time with him this year, mom said i can't bring Mr. Panda next year anymore." Heather sniffed a little. She would miss havign that doll around as company when she's alone-and she hates being alone. "She said i was getting too old anyway...but you know what, I think it's much...safer." she added, remembering Cass and her fury over the doll. "I haven't told cass, but i persuaded mom to let me have a cat-she used to have one..until...let's just say her cat was a big risk-taker and wasted all its nine lives in several times. Camellia said she'll do the cat hunt herself-looking for a cat who is pleased with Mr. Panda is not easy, apparently." She wondered, how many cats out there don't like moving panda dolls anyway?

"Hey Kurumi, I'll show you Sythe some time, okay? You can borrow him if you want to, but if you plan on sending any edible packages, I'm going to have to be around with you." she said, laughing. Sythe has a tendency to actually eat an edible package-unless if it was Heather who was asking the owl to send it and no one else.

Heather ate another chocolate frog, probably her 15th of the day, but she didn't mind. She was glad kurumi was feeling a little better now...and seeing Kurumi glad makes Heather happy as well...unless, if she asked about Ed, her mood might change drastically-and from the train ride with Cass, their talk about Ed wasn't pleasant at all.

She then took out a special chocolate frog from her pocket; special because it still had a ribbon tied to it. She was deciding whether or not to eat it now or maybe some other time, but this is her oldest chocolate frog yet. "hmmm.....now or next time?" she muttered.

"I see...I can tell your dad really loves his job...but isn't obsession a bit too much?" she asked.

Matilda: Are you Rose?I thought that I met you in the train but you never told me your name.

"Tommorow, today we just get use to everything tommorow we go to classes!"


"Hi Matilda are you alright?"

Ella was only half- listening to Thomas and Rose's conversation. She picked at the remains of her apple crumble, wondering when they would be allowed to go up to bed. She was shattered!

Leaning back, she ran her fingers through her hair, she could of done with her brush. Obviously not at the table.. She was worried about her cat too; she hoped he was on her bed waiting for her. She didn't want him wandering around just yet! He was only little after all...

'Yep, that's me!' Rose grinned 'I was the test subject of the ginger hair dye you weren't happy about!' Rose laughed

Kurumi laughed. Too old for a giant walking stuffed panda? She wasn't sure which part of that question sounded more ridiculous. "I will be sad to see Mr. Panda go," she said still trying to contain her giggles.

Then, Kurumi noticed Heather looking at a chocolate frog wrapper with googly eyes. They were the sort of googly eyes her brothers got when they were watching the television and their favorite idol came on wearing a short skirt.

"Why does that one have a ribbon on it?" she asked pointing to it.

"Someone hit me... it's no big deal. I will fully explain some other time, babe. Don't worry, though. I'm fine, really. It's healing," she said with a smile

"Oh honey... you love Hogwarts... how are you going to let some boy make you want to leave your home? And I know it hurts now, but I promise you, it won't always. And once you get to work... you can work on the yearbook, your classes, you will forget all about it!" she said with a smile and a little sideways hug to her.


"I get tired of shopping with Dylan or Salander... my mum, well... yeah I rather need somone to shop with also," she said with a soft smile. Mother Denver and she had not really seen or spoken to one another in quite some time.

"S'mores and PILLOW FIGHTS IT IS!" she said loudly. There were no rules against it and if the female Prefect disagreed... well she could go to Madame Donovan and see which of the two of them she told was wrong. Heh.

"Oh, this?" Heather's eyes sparkled as she showed it to Kurumi. Clearly, the box had not been opened yet. "I put a ribbon on it because it's special." she grinned. "Ryoma gave it to me." Kurumi seemed confused still. Well, Heather wasn't making herself clear to her at all. She just kept a smile on her face. "I mean, Ryoma, that bartender in the Leaky Cauldron, gave it to me. I put a ribbon on it so i would know which one is the one he gave me. I sort of kept it because it reminds me I did a good job with the favor Camellia asked me once...between you and me..." she leaned closer to whisper in Kurumi's ear. "Camellia wanted this chocolate frog from me, so i use it to tease her...but yeah...i would be eating it soon." VERY SOON, she thought, her grin becoming wider. How she loved to get back at Camellia for teasing her about her height.

Kurumi eyed Lexi and begged to differ about it all being 'no big deal,' but she knew better than to press the subject right now.


Then, Kurumi felt the waterworks begin to turn on full blast as Lexi gave Kurumi a gentle but MUCH needed hug. "My brothers said almost the same thing," she said with a sniffle. "But...but...he was a first in so many ways..." Her cheeks burned and a single tear streamed down her face. She needed to make herself very busy this term. Perhaps even more busy than she had been last one - if that were possible.

Kurumi reached one of her hands up and squeezed her Mama Lion's hand tightly.
Kurumi blinked at Heather as she explained about the chocolate frog. So, she had put the ribbon on herself because she found the chocolate frog to be special because it had come from the bartender at the Leaky Cauldon...

Interesting...very interesting...and weird.

Kurumi had never been inside the Leaky Cauldron, save for one time when she had had a butterbeer with a friend, so she didn't know who this Ryoma character was. But, the way Heather's eyes got all googly made her giggle.

"Seems silly for you to be fighting over a chocolate frog given to you by the bartender," she finally managed to say.

Matilda:No I am not I have a stomachache. I shouldn't have eat so much in the train.

Matilda: Now I remember that.Well do you like your red hair,Rose?

'Really?' Rose found this hard to believe 'I didn't get anything, 'cause I wanted to save it for the feast!' Rose said greedily as she reached forwards for some more food.

Lexi sighed and held onto Kurumi for a moment longer. "Well what do BOYS know? Listen to me, kiddo. I know a little about heartbreak... I can tell you, it will hurt less with time... and the more active you become in school the less you will think about it." Merlin only KNEW how many times Lexi threw herself into something new to avoid thinking about a boy.

Reaching over she wiped the tear from Kurumi's face she smiled softly. "If you can't laugh about it... it's not worth crying over, babe," she said with a little squeeze.

"And the firsts are always the hardest... they cut the deepest, but love gets easier and you will find someone better," she promised.

Jai nodded a bit,"Yeah, I am. Coming from Durmstrang; I'm gonna continue as a sixth year here." he said, looking at the newly sorted Gryffindors. They all had smiles, which made him reflexively smirk.

Jai chuckled as he listened to the conversation among his new house mates. When he heard ' s'mores and pillow fights' Jai cocked his eyebrow in surprise yet he had a smile on his lips. "Really?"he remarked. He couldn't help it.

Matilda: Yes really because I bought some food from the food cart and then I ate it but it seems like this feast was too soon for me.

"I know right?" Heather sighed, but still giggling. "Camellia's in love with the guy-so I'd understand why she'd want this chocolate frog since it came from him...uhgr...don't get me started with how she acted when she got home from her date with him-she kept me up all night retelling me the whole deal about it." she said, placing the frog back into her pocket and turned her attention back to Mr. Panda and cats.

"Walnut won't be alone next year...i really hope I'd find the perfect cat for me." she said. "Walnut will have a new playmate then."

"Whats cracking Thomas?"

Thankful that she was free from that damn owl, Elaine walked up the Gyffindor table.
Now where should she sit? She hadn't seen Emily or Nika since her hurried exit from the Ice cream parlour.
Suddenly she heard someone shouting. That must be Emily, who else would shout Nika's name like that.
Elaine looked down the table toward the voice and she saw Emily,Of course she was right! and started walking towards her.
"Hey Emily!" Elaine yelled above the noise and waved.
