"Would you like a partner for practice?" Selina asked sheepishly. |
Amber walked up to the portrait of the Fat Lady. "Oddsbodikins." she said, and it swung open. Amber was beginning to love Hogwarts with all the fun at every corner. As she walked in, she noticed her rat, Scabbers was missing. Her eyes boggled. "Scabbers? Gone? That can't be!" she thought to herself, as she double checked her bag where he had been sleeping. Her eyes filled with tears. She began looking desperately around the common room looking for him, but he was nowhere to be found! She wished for help, but the room had emptied. It was eleven pm. She gulped and walked up to the girl's dormitories, feeling very depressed. |

"LEXI!!!! How are you?! How was your summer?!" Releasing Lexi as she continued to ask questions, Alice plopped down on the floor in front of her favorite fellow Gryffindor. |

Alice nodded in understanding as William explained that he would defend Hogwarts and his friends. "As we all will," Alice said with a thoughtful look. "It's just Professor Welton's disappearance and that boat showing up at the same time....it's just strange." Alice trailed off thoughtfully.... |

John thought about sweets, but brushed it off his mind... "Hi there." he said while still smiling. "uhm, I'll make some s'mores with you...but i won't eat them hehe, I'm not a fan of sweets..." John said said as he patted the a spot on the couch so she could sit. "a pretty, young lady like you, shouldn't be standing up" John said so galantly. "uh-errr...I'm John, i don't think i've properly introduced myself to you..." he said with a wink. |

"Hey!" He flinched as she poked him. "Don't diss the belly, yeah?" he said, gasping and cooing his stomach. "Don't listen to her." he said, tapping it fondly. It was kinda freaky, he supposed. He ate and ate, and ate and ate, then ate some more, stopped, ate a muffin, some cereal, a bit of roast chicken maybe, then went to sleep. And yet, he remained as skinny as a broom, all bone and limbs. He looked and walked a bit like a drunk giraffe sometimes, all flailing this way and that. And when he was going through a bit of a musical faze, he would strap a guitar to his back. Everyone would always scarper when he entered the room, hugging their hot drinks to their chests. He was a health hazard; the first year grinned. He yawned and placed his hands behind his head. Cute, huh? "I don't think my mum would be too happy about that." he said, a small blush tainting his cheeks. "And I'll have you know, I'm adorable." He winked up at her, bringing his knees to his chest. Quote:
AHHHHHHHH. Once again flailing like a fish starved as water, the first year struggled to his feet, almost tripping over his tangled legs as he did so. Carefully righting himself, and flinging one of his scarf tails over his shoulder, he ran after her, grabbing her shoulder before she could leave the Common Room. Panting, as if he'd ran a mile, his face was a perfect replica of a five year old who's teddy bear had just been stolen. "I'm sowwy." he said, letting go of her, and looking down at his feet. |

She turned to face him, eyes wide open, heart beating wildly. Zara gulped. As Matt had apologized, she looked at him. Then he let go of her and looked down. She couldn't put her act anymore, not with a face that sad. "Hey, hey, it's okay." She said, then she awkwardly patted his arm twice. Oh well, it was much better than a hug. Now, that would be weird. Still, he didn't look up. "Erm, let's just head back to the chairs, what do you say?" Since Matt didn't reply, Zara put her arm around his neck and dragged him towards the chairs with her other arm ready to support him once he loses balance again--like he always does. |

But he didn't want to freak her out even more than he already had.. He was quite good at that, he thought, almost proudly, to himself. Instead, he firmly fixed his thoughts on the fact that she wasn't mad at him. Which was a good thing. "Thanks...for putting up with me." He smiled at her, sheepishly, as he finally collapsed back onto the sofa. This time, at least he didn't have the risk of falling off the arm, and making her worry all over him for the billionth time that evening. |
Wanna end this then pretend it's the next morning? :D Quote:

Sure! Sounds good. ^.^ Quote:

TADAA. Okay the next day... As Zara woke up the next day and got all dressed in her uniform (she didn't want to have to go back to the dormitories and change when class started) she ran down the staircase and into the common room. Once there, she stretched her arms and decided to sit on one of the comfy couches. Of course, there were other students already there but none that Zara knew. So she waited for someone she knew to wake up so they'll go together somewhere. Probably Tayla, or Ella, or William, or Matt. |

The first year wandered down from the dorms and into the Common Room. It didn't look much different, except for the sun pouring in through the windows and the now non-existent flames of the fire. Dust particles danced inbetween the shadows a cool breeze entered through the portrait door as another random Gryffindor wandered in. Even now, Matt was desperately trying to flatten the spiky mess that was his hair with the flats of his palms. He must've slept on it funny, that was the only explanation. His stomach rumbled, and he gazed down at his stomach longingly. Looking up again, his robes thrown loosely over his skinny frame, he spotted a familiar face sitting on one of the poofy chairs. It was Zara. Yawning again, he made his way over to her. "Hey." he said, still bleary eyed, his usually floppy hair sticking up in all directions. "Sleep ok?" |
Quote:
"You look...like..." Now how would she put it into words? Matt, you look like a chicken just laid eggs on your head (cause it looks a heck like a nest). No, that was a wrong way of saying it, it'd just ruin the whole morning. "Like you had a good night's sleep. How'd it go?" |
Quote:
"It was good, good." he said, hastily, with a quick grin. A blush was already creeping to his cheeks and he's only just woken up for petes sake...He lowered his hands and shook his head. |

'So...err..please ignore the question if you find it inapproppriate, but...how come you live with your uncle?' the girl hesitated a bit. 'Did you go to muggle school before Hogwarts? I was home-schooled till I started here. But my mum is very intelligent, I learned a lot from her.' Ari explained. Quote:
Ari was surprised to notice that Nika's dedication for study might surpass her own. 'Now I can imagine why the Sorting Hat placed you in Gryffindor. Determination like that...' she expressed her opinion. 'So what subjects are you struggling with?' the girl wondered. Quote:
'Anyway, I do have an ulterior motive for wanting to check out the yearbooks. I'm curious to find out more about my great-grandmother, Griselda Marchbanks.' Ariadne confessed. Quote:
'Wow, so everything besides Hufflepuff. Sounds like an amazing family.' Ari commented. 'I find genealogy fascinating, I'd like to track down my ancestors.' she mused. |

First year? His smile grew. "Awesome! Nice to meet you Tayla! I'm Legend Chosen. Seventh year. If you need anything or any Snakes pick on anything just call me." He always seemed to find at least one first year, every year. Quote:
Woah. Sir? He grinned. She had to be kidding. "Nice to meet you Nika, but please, don't call me Sir." That made him feel old. And weird. Sir.....ew. Of course the girl felt awesome. After all classes weren't in full swing and that was always good. "I'm pretty good! Excited to catch up with friends and stuff." Quote:
"Practicing eh? Good. Can't lose your spot to any new players." That would suck, he he had seen it happen a lot. Less so in professional Quidditch but, there was ALWAYS someone younger and better. "I just played a lot of sports. Spent some time in the Hospital for an injury." More like 6 injured but he was good now. Quote:

Without any thought Legend jumped up onto the coffee table and began to wave his hands around like mad. "ALRIGHT LISTEN UP! I WANT EVERYONE'S ATTENTION FOR A FEW MINUTES!" His voice boomed loudly through the room without even a charm. Looking around to make sure at least some people were paying attention he began to speak. "Hello. Good evening. Now many of you may know me by my name- Legend Chosen. While others might know me as 'that guy who lost of 15 points at the opening feast.' And that's pretty true. I AM that guy who lost 15 points at the feast. HOWEVER, to be really honest with you I think I did you all I favor. I did not lose points for speaking back, or pulling pranks, or flirting with Professors." Flirting with Professors. That was just mad. "I lost points for something that there was no rule agaisnt. I lost points because I sat down with the staff on the other side of the staff table. So in all honesty I did you lot a favor. Now you know it's agaisnt the rules, whereas it was in that uncertain gray area before. So BE HAPPY and stop acting like a bunch of whiny brats." And that was all. He jumped down from the table, hoping that, that was the end of everything. After all it was so easy to earn 15 points back. |
Quote:
When he commented on her practicing she smirked, "I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure I keep my spot. If I don't I'll just come back ten times harder next year, I'm just hoping I don't have to, you know?" He spoke about his summer and Selina did a double take, "Wait... you were in and out of the hospital all summer with injuries and still played sports? I'm impressed." |
Sorry it took so long to reply. Quote:

Amber walked up to the portrait of the Fat Lady, her rat Scabbers poking his head out of her pocket. "Password?" she asked. "Oddsbodikins!" Amber said, and the portrait swung open. As Amber walked in, many Gryffindors were sitting with friends talking and laughing. She sighed and walked to a chair near the fire that wasn't near anyone. All she really wanted was a friend to laugh and talk with. She pulled out a quill and piece of parchment and began to draw a phoenix. Scabbers crawled out of her pocket and up onto her shoulder, and fell asleep. The phoenix took a long time to draw, it seemed hours before she noticed the time. "Midnight?! Come on Scabbers, it's about time for bed!" she whispered as she crept up to the girl's dormitories. |
Bunches of yous :) Quote:
"Well it looks pretty cool, but I can't really play because I have a problem with flying..." If problem meant incapable of then yeah she has a problem with it. "I can't fly. I'm horrible at it." she admitted a bit embarrassed. "And as for watching it I don't really mind. I just don't understand it... at all." If only it were simpler. Like football. Kick a ball and get it into the goal. Not fly around attacking people with bats while tons of balls fly around. "I'm not really good at most magic. The only thing I'm some what good at so far is Divination and maybe Care of magical creatures, but only because they don't use wands for them." She said blushing. Why was she saying all of this? Maybe John just had that sort of effect on people? Quote:

"Yeah I can't give up if I want to impress my professors! If I can do well in potions I wonder what Lafay would think!" She shall stun the professor with her awesome potions skills that she has yet to acquire. MUAHAHAHA. Not literally stun though... That wouldn't be pretty. Oh my. There were many subjects that she struggles in. "Well just to list a few... There's flying, but a friend has offered to teach me that because the classes aren't really helping too much. I need extra help with it!" Nika said chuckling. "Then there's Ancient Runes which I don't really care about very much. It's just soooo boring and confusing and why would I want to know about weird letters anyways!?!" The point of that subject was really beyond her. "Potions is not my best either. Partially because Professor Lafay just ruins the class for me so I'm always getting nervous in front of her and messing up." Oh Lafay... *cough* Dragon lady *cough*. "Then history of magic isn't too bad. Again like Runes it's boooring, but it's really just reading the text book. Then the worst is charms." Nika sighed just thinking about it. "Charms and Transfiguration I can never get right. But I'm working on those too." So that's a lot. "The rest I'm not too bad in. I hope to improve in a least two subjects this term so that I can slowly work my way up!" Quote:
Wow? Had he prepared this all along?" She clapped a few times after bursting out into laughter. "I suppose it's alright that you lost the points. Besides someone else lost some too. But we aren't that far behind..." But what was she even saying!?! She was just complaining about the points and whoever lost them in the dormitories. "Plus I'm sure you're going to be earning them all back soon?" she raised an eyebrow as she asked. |
