The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby.
Alex sat her book ontop of loads of other books for classes in her bag and smiled at Rose happily. Then turned to William. "No i have not have you 2 been on it yet?" Alex smiled at them both.
" Yes, I have been on the ship" Willaim told Alex. " I am really enjoying it" William said to Alex. " I thmk i will go down to the ship right now" Willaim smiled.
Willaim hopes to slip, so something stupid and land at the Healer's office. No one will miss him or care about him anyway, well maybe one or two like Fee and Katelynn or maybe Thea,

The walk from the hospital wing to the seventh floor had certainly been less painful then the trek up to the castle from the pitch. Simon was still a little sore but with Healer Moretti's actions and the pain potion he didn't feel like he had been hit by one too many bludgers. Entering the common room, he smiled seeing the gathering that was currently in full swing.
"Ah...it seems the rumors were true!" he exclaimed arms held wide almost dramatically. The seventh year silently thankful he didn't feel the need to grimace after since his movements didn't hurt as much anymore. "There is a party to be had here," he added with a laugh, glad to see his team and housemates were still in high spirits despite what had happened earlier at the game.

"Would you like something to snack on while you..." she peered over. "...work on Arithmancy?"
She then bowed her head towards the feline. "And good day to you too, Diego," she smiled as she reached over to scratch him behind the ears.
Lucas smiled as a familiar face sat next to him. (Well, the face itself didn't do the sitting, but you understand.) "Hey, Kurumi," he greeted. "Ooh, lemon bars. Yes, please!" He took one from the tray she held out. "How have you been?"
Diego surveyed the girl. Yes, he remembered her. She had the irritating cat. Peanut or something to that effect. Whatever. But he had nothing against the girl, so he purred, hoping he could at least get a good belly rub out of this.

The girl thought about her mother, who was still very attached to Hogwarts and sometimes came by to visit, although none of her old Professors were here anymore.
'I hate it when people transfer. You get to make some great friends and then they leave. It's so unfair.' the girl sighed. That sounded more like Slytherin than Gryffindor. Meh. 'Thank you, I really think I need help. With muggle stories, I can just read them, of course, but the whole electricity and electrical appliances thing gets me overly confused.' she admitted.
'My best friend wants to be a Healer too!' Ari exclaimed, only afterwards realizing it didn't have anything to do with her present conversation. 'But maybe you could introduce some Muggle practices at St. Mungo's? I heard some are quite efficient.' Ariadne suggested. 'Me? Well...please don't laugh...I want to be...a wandmaker.' she replied, blushing a bit.
Carter shrugged. "I'm not really sure what the rules are with that..." he said. "But, at the very least I can come visit Hogsmeade." You could see the castle from there, so it was close enough for him.
"Yeah. At least we have summers together." he said. That was one of the reasons he and Mina stayed so close after she transfered to Beauxbatons. And now that she was back they picked up right where they left off - still being best friends. He smiled. "Well anytime you need it, I'm here. I happen to be an expect on electrical appliances." Like the toaster... that contraption made his breakfast for years.
He shrugged. "There's an option." he said. "But I think muggle practices are still generally frowned upon." Which was a shame... there were a lot of good muggle-type things that could outweigh magic-type ones.
"Why would I laugh at that?" he asked. "That's brilliant." he said with a smile. It was something he never even thought of. "I wonder what that would involve..." he said out loud. Care of magical creatures maybe? And a lot of reading...

Carter entered the common room shortly after Simon. Thanks to the wonders of magic he was no longer as bruised and broken. "Looks like we both made it out alive." he said with a smirk to his friend. He pat him on the shoulder.
"Where's Kurumi?" he asked looking around. "I believe she promised me a giant cookie." he said with a smile.
Yup. A hungry Carter was a better Carter.

"Uh huh that we did," Simon said nodding in agreement to his friend's word as his shoulder was patted. At mention of Kurumi, the captain scanned the room, smiling when his gaze alighted on the girl sitting down on one of the couchs.
Motioning for Carter to follow silently, he quietly made his way over to where she was in a sneaky manner. "What...having a quidditch party without the captain?" he teased coming behind her and the couch.
I've come to the conclusion that Jayce has no friends in Gryffindor xDD

Jayce walked into the common room and plopped down into a chair. He hadn't a clue where Woody was. How did that dog manage to go without seeing him for weeks on end? How did he function? Who did he play with? What did he chew to pieces? Had anyone tried to hurt him?! Did he find Professor Muggle Studies? How did he EAAT?!
He was having a small panic attack. Hopefully no one noticed. PFFT. They probably wouldn't, right? The seventh year glanced around again before his eyes settled on the opposite wall.

Lucas saw a guy -- probably a seventh-year -- come into the common room and sit down not too far from him. "Um..." he said, looking at the dude. "Are you alright?" He raised an eyebrow. This guy looked like he was freaking out a little bit. He was, like, staring at a wall. Kinda weird.

"Well you did a great job teaching her to fly. I am not sure I could have... flying is one of the only things that came naturally to me. That and conjuring butterflies and flowers." Truth.
Casting another glance around her eyes fell on even more people crowded into the common room. Yeah. Time to make a grand EXIT. Lexi set the cup back on the table and rose from her seat. "Yeah. Great match today and I think I am going to head up to the dorms for a bit of reading before bed," she lied through her teeth. She was just not that keen on all of her housemates being that close to her was all. So with a wave she wove her way through the crowd and took the stairs two at a time.
Selina nodded to Lexi as she gave her some worldly advice. She knew deep down that Lexi had to be right, Selina's world views were from the perspective of a twelve year old, but a part of her still wished that she were older and wiser. Perhaps wishing away her childhood wasn't smart, but most of her friends were older anyway. What was she going to do when they all left? It would be a very lonely year. By the time she graduated Kurumi wouldn't even be there anymore. "Yeah, I guess you're right. I can dream right?"
She found her cheeks quite red, almost the color of her hair, when Lexi complimented her teaching Kurumi how to fly, "It was nothing really. I knew that she had it in her. I just was the one who dragged her out on the broomstick kicking and screaming. She needed a LITTLE push."
When Lexi excused herself Selina smiled and waved goodnight to the older girl. She was quite nice and she enjoyed her company thoroughly. Just as Lexi disappeared from sight she heard two very familiar and loud voices. Spinning around on her heel she saw Simon and Carter climb through the port hole. They both seemed on a mission to grab a cookie from Kurumi and surprise the easily excitable Gryffindor. So Selina sat back and watched for a moment. Once the boys were done saying hello then she would go and say hi. They had, after all, just gotten back from the Hospital Wing.
Cove walked into the common and room, reading four music sheets.........that was really stupid. She ended up bumping into a chair and falling over. "I am sooooo sorry!" Cove said getting up. "I wasn't paying attention. I'm an idiot, I'm sorry."
Jay's blue eyes wandered around the room. This was a clear sign that he was in deep thought. For some odd reason, his eyes wandered as his mind did. No one ever said Jayce was a normal kid. He had been thinking about how scary cats were when something hit his chair. The seventh year jumped out of his seat and glanced around wildly. IT WAS A CAT! IT WOULD EAAT HIM FOR SURE THIS TIME.
But slowly, he calmed down and realized it had only been a girl. OOOOPS. Ha laughed at himself for being so stupid before speaking to the girl. Maybe he had scared her? Pfft. Nahh. She was apologizing. "Hey- hey.. It's totally alright." The American answered calmly despite the fact that his heart was racing out of his chest. "Pffft. We're all clumsy here." Well.. at least he was.

After his whole cat ordeal, the boy glanced about. And there was some dude staring at him. Errr.. riiiight. Sure, the other boy had plenty of reasons to stare at Jay- the dude had long brown hair with a patch of blond. He.. didn't exactly fit in. But then, just then, the boy SPOKE. GAAASP.
The seventh year paused. Was he alright? 'COURSE NOT. He thought he had just been attacked by a cat! 'Course he wasn't mentally alright and his heard was still pounding but physically.. "Yeahh. M'alright. Why do you ask?" The boy raised a brow curiously.

Thea smiled, her grey eyes brightening. 'Aw, thankyou! Your name is lovely aswell.' She nodded her head. Suddenly she was.. confused. 'Um.. why are you sorry for being rude? You didn't do anything!' Thea let a giggle escape her lips. Maleficent began to wriggle, so she plonked her on the floor where she waddled away almost immediantly. Brushing the cat hair off her clothes, she turned back to Raven.

Kurumi would have to look up this word in her dictionary later. Although, she had the feeling that it wouldn't be there. "So, my cookies really aren't that special then," Kurumi teased as she stuck her tongue out. "You just like food in general." Kurumi had been very surprised during the time she had spent at Selina's home over the summer. Of course, this surprise came from the sheer size of the second year's home, but her first breakfast had been something else. While Kurumi had hardly been able to finish her pancakes, Selina had seemingly eaten for an entire army. "Real Quidditch players need their strength I suppose," she nodded.

Kurumi decided just to remain quiet with William's first comments. She wasn't sure that she really wanted to become a star or celebrity on campus - it just wasn't in her nature. Which, she had to giggle to herself, was interesting seeing that she would like to become a prefect and head girl one day. Perhaps Quidditch would serve as a stepping stone to get used to being the center of attention - not that her cookies didn't already provide her with that.
"It's...it's not a problem, really," Kurumi replied waving her hands around in front of her face. "My family situation is just...really complicated, that's all."

"Father did mention New York," she beamed. "I think he wants to take me to see a musical. Father is a fan of the arts and theater." Which probably explained his more than slightly over dramatic streak. "He also suggested that I do a short exchange program at a wizarding school in America. Help me gain a more worldly view of the wizarding world." And just IMAGINE all the NEAT things she could study.
Kurumi nodded as Lexi began to take her leave. "Thank you again, Lexi, for your support." It really did mean a lot to her knowing that Mama Lion was cheering for her.

"KYAAAAAAAA!" she flailed as she caught her balance by wrapping her arm around his neck. Oh...not a good thing. Simon had been injured only hours earlier. "Oh dear! I-I-I'm sorry! "Carter!" she smiled, still in her awkward position like some spider monkey around Simon. She was VERY glad to see he had a shirt on. "H-How are your bruises?" She removed her wand from her pocket and charmed a very special signet cookie with his name written on it in yellow lemon icing. "I told you I had a cookie with your name on it!"

Diego surveyed the girl. Yes, he remembered her. She had the irritating cat. Peanut or something to that effect. Whatever. But he had nothing against the girl, so he purred, hoping he could at least get a good belly rub out of this.
"Surprisingly wonderful," she chirped as she continued to scratch Diego behind the ear. She giggled a bit when she heard him let out a loud purr. If he rolled over, she most certainly would scratch his tummy. "We had our first Quidditch match today." She eyed Lucas secretly hoping that he had been in the stands while at the same time hoping that he hadn't. "We...we lost, but Selina and I wanted to lift everyone's spirits by throwing this mild party." Which was mostly just a ridiculous amount of food in the common room.
Kurumi folded her legs under her and turned so she was facing him. "Have you made it to the library yet?" If not, she had a few book recommendations for him to check out when he did.

Kurumi hadn't heard Simon make his grand entrance, but she nearly jumped over the back of the sofa when she heard his voice after he had snuck up on her and spoke. "KYAAAAAAAA!" she flailed as she caught her balance by wrapping her arm around his neck. Oh...not a good thing. Simon had been injured only hours earlier. "Oh dear! I-I-I'm sorry! She removed her wand from her pocket and charmed a very special signet cookie with his name written on it in yellow lemon icing. "I told you I had a cookie with your name on it!"
Selina shook her head no at Kurumi's statement. "No! Your cookies are special! They make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside." Throwing her head back dramatically like a convicted felon Selina sobbed, "But yes, its true! I love food. I swear though I never intended to hurt your cookies feelings. I'm so sorry." Then she broke out into a fit of giggles. "And the academy award goes to... me."
At the Quidditch player comment Selina just clenched up her face, "Meh. I don't think that's it. It's just in my blood. I mean you spent a week at my house. My whole family on the Skylar side eats like that." It was true. Her Dad's side of the family was very Irish. on her Dad's side of the family she had eight older male cousins who could eat without stopping. Same thing with her Dad, her Uncle Jace, her Uncle Jeremy, and her Aunt Jennette. Except they had the most fabulous gene in the world... their metabolisms were all lightening fast. It was arguable that at five feet Selina was the finest girl in Gryffindor... she also ate the most food. But hey she was tone deaf...
Then she moved to the other side of the room and watched as Carter and Simon tried to sneak up on Kurumi. This would only end in disaster. Kurumi was the nicest girl and Gryffindor but also was the easiest to frighten. Selina could feel it in her bones that this would not end well. And then she fell on... ohh that was going to leave a mark. She repressed the giggles until they happily fell from her lips.

It's nice to be able to see everyone." She said looking around. "Have you had any food yet?"
"I thoroughly believe that everyone should try out for the team. There isn't enoigh spots for everyone but if you make the team its the greatest sense of unity ever. And thanks. I told Kurumi we needed to have a bigger party. She wanted tea and cookies just for the team members... I have a horrible habit of making things better. By the way I have eaten."

Kurumi would have to look up this word in her dictionary later. Although, she had the feeling that it wouldn't be there. "Walnut is a calico munckin cat," Kurumi explained looking over her shoulder at the feline who had gone missing. "Well, technically calicos can only be female. So, I suppose he isn't a true calico, just his coloring is similar."

Kurumi smiled, more at Rufus than Lexi now to be honest, and nodded her head over and over again. "It would be an honor to take him home with me. I am sure he would love the garden at my home. All the cherry trees and stone garden." She would figure out how to sneak this past her mother later. Her brothers would probably be willing to help hide him since they would be home too.
SPOILER!!: Simon & Carter
Kurumi hadn't heard Simon make his grand entrance, but she nearly jumped over the back of the sofa when she heard his voice after he had snuck up on her and spoke. Thea nodded. 'Ah! I never knew that aobut calicos.' Thea blinked. 'Well, I can defiantly understand the 'munchkin' part!' She grinned at the older lion. 'Did you say he was only three?' Thea asked, curiosity in her eyes. She knew Kurumi had told her.. or had she?.. Ooh.

Simon realized he might have made a mistake when Kurumi acted in response to his surprise. As she flailed, he moved his arms to make sure she didn't fall and get hurt but not totally expecting her to hang around on her neck. Not that the seventh year minded it for if it helped her regain her balance and calm before his surprise then it was ok.
"Its ok Kurumi...no reason to be sorry I'm ok. Healer Moretti does good work." he said with a smile trying to assure her. Staying in place as the young lion greeted his companion handing over well more like floating over one of her special cookies.
Hearing giggles coming behind him from the other direction, Simon turned his head and spotted Selina laughing at them. "Hi Selina...soemthing amusing?" he teased chuckling himself.
Hello, Daddy! Hello, Mom! I'm your ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!

"I was there," Lucas nodded. "It was a good game even if we did lose." He smiled. He was proud of Kurumi. He knew she was scared to fly in front of the whole school, but she'd done it anyway.
"I actually haven't," he answered. "It seems like every time I'm about to go there, something else comes up!"
Good. The girl was obviously under Diego's spell. Cashew or whatever his name was would probably be out on the street in no time. Who would choose any other cat over Diego? Nobody. He rolled onto his back, looking at Kurumi expectantly. Tummy rub, please?
