The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby.
"Brilliant." Carter said with a smile. So what if it wasn't going to happen as often as he wanted it to... having her consider it was a victory.
He chuckled. "Well... I didn't die yet..." he said. Although... he was worried about it when Shaw handed that chainsaw to Destiny. "So I don't really have a class that I hate. But I don't have a class that I particularly like either. I've always just figured class is class." he said. It was something they had to do.
"I'm looking forward to quidditch starting though." he said. Quidditch Trials hadn't finished yet, but he hoped he'd make the team again. He'd been playing since his first year and school and quidditch kind of went hand-in-hand in his mind.
"What about you? Do you have a favorite class?"
She was considering it and was going to ask Madam Donovan if it was something their HOH could find fruitful and benefit the general mood in the Common room. A candy rain now and then could in Sophie's eyes at least perk the mood up for individual students like it had for Carter.
The lioness listened as Carter explained how he felt about classes. The comment that he hadn't died yet Sophie took as a reference to the chainsaw lesson with Shaw. It surprised her that there was no subject that he favoured over the others. "So you don't even favourite DADA or Potions like many other boys do?"
What he was looking forward to was Quidditch nodding Sophie said "I hope you'll make the team. I'm not trying out so i can root for you. Any particular position you like playing more than the others?" Flying the brunette liked as well as Quidditch but not to play for the house team it had just never struck her fancy. Watching it and rooting for her house that was another story. "Hm, my favourite classes are COMC, Muggle studies and History. Potions I’m lousy at."

EASY!
Dropping the list by her bag she stood up, back straight. Lifting her arms up she stretched up to the ceiling as much as she could. Grinning, she knew she must of looked like such an idiot, but it was fun.. in a weird way.
Then she stretched over to the left, then the right. There we go. Now was the hard part. Stretching up high again, Ella carefully brought them down, and leant over. Straight away it went wrong.. Her curls fell into her face, and she felt a searing pain up the back of her legs as she reached for her toes.
'Oof!' Falling to her knees, Ella flipped her hair back. Wow, that had been painful. Ella was not looking forward to doing that everyday for the rest of the term..
Sophie entered through the portrait hole just as a first year that she vaguely remembered was called Ella were doing exercises no doubt for Lord Borr's yearly training/work out assignment. The 16 year old prefect observed as she herself stretched her muscles after a long run. As the first year fell to her knees and let out what Sophie took as a cry she called over "Ella, are you all right?" Finishing her stretch she walked over to the first year asking "Are you exercising for Lord Borr's assignment?"

So now, maybe she could practice her violin here in the common room. Everyone seems to be a bit busy with their own businesses anyway to pay a tiny bit of attention to her.
she sat on a couch, but didn't lean back and took out her violin from her violin case she propped down on her lap. She placed the case on the floor beside her foot and practiced one song with her unique-looking violin.

Ella brushed her long curls back and looked up quickly. Okay.. breath. Frowning a little, Ella recognised the older girl as a Prefect. She smiled. 'Yeah, I'm fine.'She rubbed the back of her legs. 'I just can't stretch very well.. my legs go all funny..' She smiled again. She must of sounded really stupid.. but it was the truth.
Ella chewed ehr bottom lip.. she didn't know the girls name. 'Sorry.. I don't know your name.' She mumbled, twirling her hair. 'And yeah! I am.' She smiled again.

Awww! Ickle Firstie!!!
"Yeah. You've got great vision." Carter said to the young boy. He chuckled. "You just looked like a little red blob from my side." Hmm... did that mean Carter needed glasses?
"Nice to meet you kiddo." he said ruffling the boys hair a little. "I'm Carter." he said introducing himself - he wasn't sure if the kid knew his name of not. "I started on the team when I was your age." he said. "I've been playing chaser ever since. But this term I thought I'd try something new." he said with a light shrug. Although, maybe he should have stuck with chaser considering he nearly killed Evelyn while filling in as keeper.
He then tilted his head to the side wondering how the boy knew that he'd played since his first year. Then he remembered his name was on one of the trophies in the trophy room and in the yearbooks in the library. The kid did his research. Which, admittedly, was a little creepy.
"Well. I wish you the best of luck William." he said with a smile. "Quidditch is a lot of fun."

"I guess I do like doing arithmancy and ancient runes." Growing up Carter had always been a fan of math, puzzles, and secret languages. And those two subjects were just the magic equivalent of muggle things that he liked.
"Well... I've actually only ever played chaser. Though I did fill in as keeper a few times..." he said. "I've never tried the other two positions." Although, maybe he should change that. "Thanks." he said with a smile. It was always a good feeling when he had support and people cheering for him.
"How is muggle studies?" he asked. He'd never been, well, other than combined lessons. Being muggle-born, Carter never felt the need to go. He knew plenty about muggles.

" Yes, you are a great keeper and a great chaser" Willaim explained to Carter. " My soon to be cousin by marriage Jason Potter Weasley played Beater for an earlir Gryffindor Championship team" William smiled.
God luck, but you do not need it" he told Carter. " You did great at todays tryout and I just did average" William said to him. " I probably a couple of more tryouts to see if I can make the team" William sighed again.
Johnathan went in the common room, exhausted. His tired eyes felt like they were on fire. He found an empty seat and sat down, he leaned back and rested his head down.

From practicing her violin, Heather looked up to see William. She stopped for awhile and gave the freshman a smile. "Hello William." she greeted. "T-thanks for t-the complement." she added, her cheeks flushing pink. She wasn't really used to performing with other people around and people listening to her, even more complementing her, but it did make her feel a bit confident about playing the Violin.
William mentioned another person, and Heather could only tilt her head to her right, wondering who that was. "I'm s-sorry, William. I d-don't kn-know who Cove is.." she answered. "b-but I'd l-like to perform with h-him soon, i-if you really want to."

"What would I do?" William asked Cove. " Sure we have fun at my house, but there is no work for any of us unless we help clean the Villa" William explained to Cove.
"Of course it will." Unless she hated her real name....? "Oh good, well I do various things, sell stuff, rent stuff, surf lessons, ecetra." Cove said. "Ah, that;s good, like what kind of fun?"
Tayla read the DADA assignment list and then looked around the common room. She had no idea how to do karate. Clearing her throat, she called, feeling a little awkward, "Hey, anyone know karate?" She hoped someone did.

Heather scratched her head.. "Still, I'm really sorry for that." she sighed then thought of something. "Hey William...have you done any of the tasks in the DADA homework?" she asked.
After Evie spoke to the Keira she answered Janet. 'I may as well tell her what happened to dad she seems friendly enough'."Thank you for your concern, you see my father was killed and i'm just having trouble getting over it." she paused for a brief moment it felt good to tell at least someone about dad, she then continued talking to Janet. " I'm half and half mums a witch and dad was muggleborn, and no I haven't signed up for quidditch yet but i'm thinking about it." Evie liked this girl and appreciated her friendliness. "I'm assuming you signed up for quidditch then?". She turned to Keira, "What about you Keira, did you sign up for quidditch?"
"Oooh.. I'm so sorry.. I shouldn't have brought it up.." Janet said. Poor Evie. "Well, I did sign up for quidditch" she said, hoping it would change the subject." But I can't attend all the practices ! They won't fit my schedule !". She was so dissapointed. She loved quidditch, but it was a side activity. besides, lots of people signed up. But she suddenly realized something."err.. Evie, I think quidditch sign ups are over.."

"Ooh! Great!" Tayla grinned as a girl with light brown hair and gentle hazel eyes approached her. "I'm Tayla. Tayla Barnhill. What's your name?" Tayla shrugged her shoulders and shook her arms. She chuckled, feeling silly but excited to do a little karate. "Okay, so what do we do first?"
"Oh thank you," She took the handkerchief from Zara and wiped her eyes. "It's my brother he's just really sick and it's hard."
"Aww, I hope he gets better soon," she said, biting her lip again. Zara sure was a sensitive little baby when it came to talks about brothers. She's always wanted one. Ella and Nika knew about her want of a brother. Zara really hoped for the best for Cove's brother.
She patted Cove softly on the back, as she smiled at her, "I'll be hoping for his recovery," she said as she continued to pat Cove's back.

Elyon spun into the common room, her long braid flying behind her. It might've hit someone in the face, but she'd never notice. She didn't really take notice of too much. Her head was permanently in the clouds. The tiny second year flopped onto a small but squashy chair in the corner. She fiddled with her cork necklace a bit out of habit. It somehow comforted her. She pulled a tiny wooden box out of her bag and began to make more. Then she could give them to all of the friends she'd never met.
Elyon moved to the floor in front of the unlit fireplace and continued there. She'd much rather sit on the floor than in a chair. She'd rather be up in a tree or on some grass, but unfortunatley, the common room didn't have those. She wondered what'd it be like if they did have trees in there......
"He's already seen doctors all over the world." Cove said. "He's go cancer, and it's not going away."
Zara felt saddened by this but she didn't want to lose hope. No, she wouldn't give up. "But I'm sure my dad could try. He's cured millions of people before, though he's working at the Ministry now. I'm sure he could take a look," she persisted.
Sorry for taking even longer than usual to reply...

Hence the hours and hours spent in the library. "I haven't lost points, yet," Kurumi said shaking her head. Nor did she ever intend on doing so. "I have been too busy trying to earn back what Josh has lost us." She giggled softly and her cheeks flushed. He certainly wasn't making it easy on her.
"Nothing has changed," Kurumi replied shaking her head. "Well, save one thing." She turned and looked at the girl with a gentle smile on her face. "I am more comfortable with who I am now, thanks to Hogwarts. Now, while their words and actions still hurt, I know that I belong somewhere." She still sometimes felt like an outsiderm even in the wizarding world due to her ability, but she felt safest here.
Kurumi passed over the comment about her mother accepting her. Kurumi was pretty sure her mother was still far away from doing that. Checking wands at the door and all fairy tale books banned from the house. Kurumi had managed to save one and had had her brothers cast a Disillusionment Charm on it for her so that her mother couldn't find it.
She turned her attention back to the little first year. "I hope you get the chance someday," she nodded knowing just a bit of the girl's pain of not knowing her father. Kurumi wasn't sure she really knew hers either. "It's no trouble at all. I am glad that you feel that you can share such things with me." Kurumi rested a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Anytime you want to talk, just let me know."
Ariadne nodded. 'I understand. I feel the need to prove myself even though I have lived in the wizarding world since I was born.' Maybe there was a different reason why Ari needed to demonstrate her skills. She probably wanted to ensure that although her father didn't want her, she was a good child. 'Don't overwork yourself, though. I wouldn't mind losing points if I felt I was right in doing so.' Like Legend, for example. Ari could fully understand his motivation. 'Josh owes you big time, I'm sure.' the girl giggled. But she really liked Josh too.
Ariadne gave a sorry look when Kurumi confessed not much had changed. 'But do you think it will be possible to make a change in the future? Maybe go back and start talking to people after you graduate? Not alone, of course.' Ari wondered. She believed in making a difference in the world.
'I hope so too. Although I have no idea what I'd say to him if we met.' A part of her just wanted to run to her dad and give him a huge hug, while another part wanted to scream and demand an explaination. 'Thank you for everything. It's nice to know I can trust someone with my biggest secrets.' Ariadne smiled and gave Kurumi a hug.

"Well I used to play on a team back home. But now I play with one of my hufflepuff friends here who also loves football!" She exclaimed happily. "I can teach you how to play! Then we can play together!" She made a mental note to teach football and bike riding. Shouldn't be too hard. She taught one of her other friends how to play.
"No, not yet." She replied giggling with Ari. "I had one last term, but I don't think he came back. Maybe he moved to another country or something? He was a first year like me." She said. But now SECOND year. Woot!
Ariadne nodded. So she wouldn't have to confront Shaw after all. The girl refused to ponder whether this was a good or a bad thing, and just focused on replying to Nika. 'So who should we see about this? Someone nice, but also skillful. And not very busy and important.' Okay, this just excluded lots of people.
'Hehe, really? Where do you usually play here? In the courtyard or something?' she wondered, not at all familiar with a football pitch. 'Who's your Huffie friend? Maybe I know him or her, I have some badger friends too.' the firstie wanted to know.
'I'm sorry he left. I don't get why so many people move and transfer. I would put up a fight if my family ever decided we would move.' Ariadne shuddered at the thought.
Heather scratched her head.. "Still, I'm really sorry for that." she sighed then thought of something. "Hey William...have you done any of the tasks in the DADA homework?" she asked.
" Cove is very understanding, really do not woeey about it" William told Heather. "Actually, I am not interested in doing this type of DADA assignment" William said to Heather. " One, it basically has nothing to do with DADA class and two, it should be done over the term, not every week" William explained to Heather. "Am I right or wrong?" William asked Heather.

" Rex owled me and he told me to give a special hello to his favorite dance partner at HogWarts" William explained to Elyon. " Oh yea, he misses you, too" William smiled.
Attention, everyone who knows Rex is getting married to an old flame named in August and invitations will be going out to all of Resx's freinds" William called out.
Did you just lose something? The GAME? Sorry... 'Justin Bieber, he is the man!' U mad, Felton!?
Rose walked to the middle of the common room and shouted 'HEY, I need a guy to dance with as if I danced with a girl that would be awkward! Any volunteers? It's for the DADA project!'
