The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through.
"Oddsbodikins!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes.
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby.

She grinned widely, and went on, "So, how about that trip to the Owlery? Ready to go?" She asked.
Sarah raised her eye-brows, smiling as she did. "Hm, yah, ready as ever" she grinned. She popped her books into her bag and carefully took her homework. She scanned it once and nodded, satisfied. She then placed it in an envelope and turned to Zara. She raised it and said, "Ready, let's go!" She took some candy from the plate, and handed some to Zara.
"I'm not scared of her I mean she's only a person, but I am worried that she's going to murder me for getting a potion wrong." She said nodding her head. But even Lafay wasn't that thick. "I know Lafay kinder! PFFFT that's impossible." Hehe. Once a meanie always a meanie.
"Alright well see you later then! I might just come down in a bit." She said happily. "I think I'm going to hang out here a little longer, but I will come as soon as I'm done talking to everyone."
"Professor Bishop." She answered without a doubt. It wasn't a hard choice really. There's Lafay who's just about the meanest person on the planet, then there's SHAW who's a crazy chainsaw freak, then weird-accent-viking guy who you can't understand, bipolar CoMC McFusty dude, and the rest weren't that bad...
"Who's yours?" She asked the girl. Alice would probably have better opinions of everyone. Nika just quickly judged most of the professors.
"Actually I think your right." Shaw. What was she thinking!?! "Maybe we should ask a professor who doesn't like to use chainsaws for fun?" Because chainsaws are never good. Especially when they're chainSHAWs. Those ones are the worst. *Shiver*
"Well I used to play on a team back home. But now I play with one of my hufflepuff friends here who also loves football!" She exclaimed happily. "I can teach you how to play! Then we can play together!" She made a mental note to teach football and bike riding. Shouldn't be too hard. She taught one of her other friends how to play.
"No, not yet." She replied giggling with Ari. "I had one last term, but I don't think he came back. Maybe he moved to another country or something? He was a first year like me." She said. But now SECOND year. Woot!
" She will not murder you for missing up the potion" William told Nika."She is only a person when she does not teach" William explained to Nika. Lafay kiner, not even in our dreams" William said to Nika.

Having momentarily closed his eyes, Simon opened them again when he heard a voice trying to grab his attention. Looking at its source, he noticed Sophie the female prefect standing there and shook his head. "No...not at all," he said assuring her it wasn't a bother. Just because he was taking it easy didn't mean he had to be alone; if that was the case he certainly wouldn't be hanging out in the common room where anyone and everyone congregated at one point or another.
Taking the chair next to Simon she asked "How are the tryouts going? I heard many have signed up to join the team?" Sophie hadn't though since Quidditch interfered with her studying and all her other responisbilites and time with friends. Thinking out loud she wondered "Do you think we can win the house cup for a second year in a row?"

" Common room is what you suggest and I will agree with you" William smiled.
Sophie inclined her head "That's what we all want William. It's a long term though so the battle for the house cup is far from over yet. Don't worry so much. Focus on having fun with friends and go to classes." The lioness prefect hoped that William wouldn't come to her or Madam Donovan with trouble that was brewing somewhere but it was bound to happen sooner or later. It was a long term and some would act out of order eventually since nobody could be expected to be on their best behavior all the time. Straightening up the prefect said "Bye William!" before leaving through the portrait hole to go on prefect patrol.
"It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you are not."

Hmmmm....who was her favorite?"Well I really liked Professor Dodson, the former Herbology Professor, but for current Professors I like Professor Descoteaux a lot. He's a very good teacher and he's very nice!" Alice said with a little smile. Professor Descoteaux had been very understanding and supporting when her magic went a little askew last year....
Now that Alice was thinking about it, there really were a lot of new professors at Hogwarts this year...

So it wouldn’t keep studying students from getting less tired. Shaking his hand as he introduced himself she beamed "Pleasure to meet you Carter! I didn’t know we were in the same year but it seems we are. Your little best prefect ever exclamation is safe with me I’m not announcing it to the whole common room." No Sophie wouldn’t do that since it could come to Patroclus ears and she didn’t want him to get upset or worse jealous. Focusing on Carter she asked "Any favourite classes or teachers this early in the term?"
"Brilliant." Carter said with a smile. So what if it wasn't going to happen as often as he wanted it to... having her consider it was a victory.
He chuckled. "Well... I didn't die yet..." he said. Although... he was worried about it when Shaw handed that chainsaw to Destiny. "So I don't really have a class that I hate. But I don't have a class that I particularly like either. I've always just figured class is class." he said. It was something they had to do.
"I'm looking forward to quidditch starting though." he said. Quidditch Trials hadn't finished yet, but he hoped he'd make the team again. He'd been playing since his first year and school and quidditch kind of went hand-in-hand in his mind.
"What about you? Do you have a favorite class?"

" You played on the Gold team during practice, right?" William asked him. " You were the Keeper, right?' William asked him. " My name is William Montcenaggio aka Starr. " You did a great job out there" William told the older boy. " I want to be Keeper too and I think I gave my best for the red team" William said to him. " You are going to be tough to beat since you been playing Quidditch on the team since you arrived at HogWarts" Wiliam explained to Carter. " Just so you know, I am not going to lay down and die to give you the position of Keeper but here to tell you that you are in for a real battle" William smiled. " Either way, our team will be good with either of us playing Keeper" William grinned.

Kurumi simply nodded. She really didn't want to think about Adam and his connections with others since he clearly didn't want one with her anymore. She decided that she would write him one more time...just once more...
"Um..." Septimus' mind was spinning. "I...I don't know how that's possible...I mean, who told you??" Septimus was getting slightly angry now. That meant either Elyon had told somebody or someone had been eavesdropping at the cafe. "How could she already know?? Who told her about this??" he muttered.

" Well of course, we can be friends" William told Ronnie." You have interesting hair" William said to Ronnie. "So how do you like HogWarts so far?" William asked Ronnie. " You seem to be a pretty popular person in HogWarts" William smiled.
"Hi Elle, it's great to meet you. I'm reading a book on Quidditch right now, I love Quidditch." Ronnie said smiling. She sat down next to Elle and began to read, but her mind wasn't on the book, it was on the fact that she might of finally made a friend. She felt very excited inside.
"Oooh, quidditch? Are you trying out for the house team this year?" Elle asked. She knew she was interrupting Ronnie's reading, but if she was trying out for quidditch, Elle may just stick with it. "I'm just reading a book on Ancient Runes...seems boring to everyone else, but I love it!"

"Yeah, a little, I made them my self. It's part of something I'm making for my brother." Cove said smiling. She felt a single tear go down her cheek, she wiped it away quickly.

" Yes. I never heard of one that did not like girl talk" William laughed." Actually, I call her Wisty because her real name is Wisteria and I remembered her nickname that my cousin Rex gave her while he was at HogWarts" William explained to Cove. "Kendo is a form of Japanese sword fighting," she explained wishing that she had a picture of her family's dojo with her. "My mother's side of the family have been masters at the school for centuries. One of my brothers is supposed to take it over after grandfather passes, but none of them are interested." Which really disappointed her. She didn't want to see the school close.
"That sounds really cool!" Tayla replied. "Why aren't your brothers interested? Are they wizards, too?"
"Yeah, a little, I made them my self. It's part of something I'm making for my brother." Cove said smiling. She felt a single tear go down her cheek, she wiped it away quickly.
Zara's eyebrows furrowed in concern. "Cove, what's the problem?" She asked softly, the concern ringing out in her voice.
From her pockets she took out a pure white handkerchief with a flower embroidered at the bottom right of it. "Here you go, dear. I'm sure you'll need it sooner or later." She handed the handkerchief to Cove, knowing that she'd need it more than her.

Standing in the middle of the Common Room, Ella re-read the DADA homework list.
"Spend time everyday trying to touch your toes."
"Stretch daily."
EASY!
Dropping the list by her bag she stood up, back straight. Lifting her arms up she stretched up to the ceiling as much as she could. Grinning, she knew she must of looked like such an idiot, but it was fun.. in a weird way.
Then she stretched over to the left, then the right. There we go. Now was the hard part. Stretching up high again, Ella carefully brought them down, and leant over. Straight away it went wrong.. Her curls fell into her face, and she felt a searing pain up the back of her legs as she reached for her toes.
'Oof!' Falling to her knees, Ella flipped her hair back. Wow, that had been painful. Ella was not looking forward to doing that everyday for the rest of the term..
