Simon wasn't sure if the Deputy Headmaster was going to accept his appology and it seemed to be hours before he spoke but in the end he accepted the appology. "Professor thanks for reminding me of that, I had completely forgot." And with that Simon walked off to find out if he could find anymore information on if he was playing or not.

He now addressed Simon. "I'm going to confer with Headmaster Tate and Healer Moretti on what we're going to do with you, Simon. Until then, a sprogs raw like yourself needs to be on their best behavior or else its the rope's end for you. Now I suggest that you move smartly and find a place where you can't get into any more trouble."
Gemma nodded at the other professor quietly with a blank face. She let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding as it all had seemed to work out for the better.

She glanced over at Simon...

She smiled at the boy and winked at him to let him know that he had done perfectly and that she was proud of him.

Gemma watched as the young man walked away and then turned back to Vindictus, "Thank you, Professor! I know that he can be a handful, but I feel like deep inside he means well in the end." she said with a little shrug of her shoulders.

"If he does, then he's got a rotten way of showing it," Vindictus replied. "Now if you'll excuse me. I need to tend to a few pre-game preparations."

And he, too, left the corridor.

Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.

Oakey was a little hurt (on the inside) his question was never answered. The Room that Vindictus really wanted to get into, what was that room?

Vindictus was really angry at that door when he couldn't open it. He kicked and punched it even. He starred at the mystery door for a while hoping for it to maybe answer his question on his own.

HOLISTIC ACTRESS {X O} EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED

She had no idea what it was about this place but her whole self had been drawn like a magnet to the fifth floor for weeks. It was strange like she was the north side of the magnet and it was the south. Probably just her strange fasination with the way the ancient runes class had been. And all the ja-ing. Which made her for some unknown reason want to speak like a norsewoman. Glaring at the floor she sighed what was with this? What was she doing?

follow me; everything is all right.

The long stretch of corridor is deserted. It is as innocent-looking, perhaps, as a corridor at Hogwarts can look until a wandering student happens to look up at the rough hewn stone wall. In the bare space between a suit of armor and an abandoned portrait frame, the wall is dabbed in giant red lettering that drips wet and glistening toward the stone floor.

There is a giant 'X' followed by a trailing line of dashes pointing off down the corridor away from the staircase. The words beneath run together and are difficult to read.

Eino was returning to the Ravenclaw Common Room after a long day of classes. Yes, there were a lot of stereotypes he had to live up to being a Ravenclaw, but the most difficult part about it was that their Common Room was located all the way up on the seventh floor. He made his was through the fifth floor corridor when he came across something unusual. He stopped and looked around. Something wasn't right here. The portraits, the suits of armor, an X on the wall, more suits of armor, more-- An X? Had this been here before? Eino approached it and inspected it closely. "HOOLIGANS!" He shouted searching for the ones responsible for this mess. No one was around. "Scourgify!" He said with his wand pointed at the X. Nothing happened. "Scourgify!" He repeated, but nothing happened again. "Oh, you bloody wand..." He complained as he hit his wand against his hand. He then realized that it wasn't just the wall, but there was a trail on the floor. He rested his hands on his hips and stared at the X for a while. "X M.. ar... mar... kes...? the spot..." He tilted his head like an owl before he could make out the writing. This was most certainly some sort of prank, he suspected. Or not? Should he follow the trail?

Why did Hogwarts have to have sooooo many stairs and corridors? Merlin, it was just so unnecessary, and even after nearly five years at the school, Vashti still got tired after making her way down from the Ravenclaw common room to the library. At the very least, the library ought to be on the same floor as their common room, in her opinion. They were supposed to be the intelligent house, and putting the library on their floor made sense. Or it did to her anyway. But it wasn't going to change just for her, so ah well...

She was about to pass the fifth floor corridor when a glimpse of bright red caught her eye. Hmm? What was that? Curious, she took a few steps into the corridor and saw a boy standing there staring at the wall...where there was a giant red X painted on it. What in Merlin's name? When did that get there? And who had done it? Was it this guy?

"Hey," she said as she approached, glancing between the giant X and the boy. "What's with the X?" Now that she was nearer she also saw the dashes down the rest of the corridor and some scribbles that looked like words but were rather difficult to make out.

Fallon was just walking through the corridor minding her own business, when she looked at the wall. There was a bunch of red writing on it. She spotted two Ravenclaws who were looking at it as well. She spotted the giant X. What the heck?! Fallon looked at the two other students. "Um...do either of you know what's going on?" Fallon really hoped so. This was not a good thing to find.

Iris was making her way back to the common room after talking with Chandler. It was a really odd conversation, just there in the middle of the sixth floor. Chandler WAS an odd boy though, to be fair...

Not paying much attention to her surroundings (after all, the journey to the common room was pretty much "auto-piloted" after 7 years) Iris didn't notice anything peculiar until she walked past a couple of ravenclaws who were staring at the wall. Frowning, the Head Girl turned back and jogged over to them. "Excuse me, what are you two doing?" She asked, eyes widening as she saw the wall. It was big, red, glistening and dripping. Iris didn't like the look of THAT. "Oooh.... Ohh... Oh, that doesn't look good."

Looking at the "X" that the kids was stood in front of, Iris let her eyes wander and follow the trail. Walking as she followed the letters, the blonde frowned. Whoever wrote this NEEDS to go and take some handwriting lessons. "X ... marr... marks... the... spok... no... spot. X marks the spot?" Iris ran her hand through her hair and eyed the Ravenclaw boy. This HAD to be a practical joke, right? Some Gryffindor HAD to have done this because of the Ship. Just because they think it's funny...

Spinning round as she heard Fallon's voice, Iris shrugged and shook her head. "I actually do not have a clue. A prank, maybe?"

Someone was coming! Oh no, someone was coming! Why was he so nervous? Right, because the first thing people did when they saw Kurumi at the fire was blame her. "NOTHING!" He shouted hiding his wand. "I mean-- Umm.." He cleared his throat. "I was walking back to the Common Room and saw this." He said pointing to the X on the wall and then the trail on the floor. "I suspect someone did it as a prank. I tried to clean it with magic, but I can't." He recognized the girl as an older Ravenclaw he had seen in the Common Room. In fact, this was about the same time he usually saw her entering the Common Room after she. Unfortunately, he didn't know her name.

"I was just on my way to the Common Room." He explained quite nervously and rubbing his hands together. "I think it's a prank as well." He gestured to the trail. "Or it might lead to one." Perhaps one of the older, most experience students could try to clean it with magic. He was unable to, but this wouldn't be the first time he couldn't successfully perform a spell.

Fallon shrugged her shoulders at Iris's suggestion. She didn't know how she hadn't noticed the head girl before. Oh well. She saw her now and that's what mattered. She then turned her attention to the younger of the Ravenclaw students...

...well. That was a bummer. She hoped the kid knew what it was. Fallon raised an eyebrow. She didn't understand how the spell hadn't worked. Maybe the kid just wasn't good at Charms and stuff. "Here, let me see if it'll go away if I try." She pulled her wand out and pointed it at the red mess. "Scourgify." Nothing happened. "Well, magic's not gonna help."

Iris looked at the Ravenclaw student and frowned. Sighing, she walked up to the wall. Curiosity made her want to touch whatever it was, but but that was silly. She didn't know what'd been used... it could be ANYTHING. stepping back, she took her wand out and aimed it at the X. "Scourgify." ... NOTHING. It didn't work! The X was still there...

Looking to her best friend, Iris bit the side of her lip. "Right... What d'you wanna do? Follow the trail? Go get a teacher?" She asked, aiming the question ONLY at Fallon. After all, Iris was no Gryffindor but following the trail seemed SO very tempting right now...

No, he hadn't been wandering, he'd just...been around...the corridors. Yes, exactly. Around.

And then as he was about to turn right, he noticed a bunch of people standing by the left. One was Iris. He knew Vashti too, and Fallon as well. And even the boy looked familiar, he was the one that hung around with Kurumi a lot.

Treyen walked towards them, and nodded in greeting just in time to hear...

Follow the trail? Go get a teacher?

"Definitely follow the trail!" he said, eyes on Iris, before turning to Fallon, "Er, what trail?" yes, mind you, he didn't even notice the red letters or anything.

Eino then turned his attention to the Slytherin and shook his head. "No... I just saw this, too."

Blink.

Someone was jumpy.

"I see," was all she said to the boy's explanation as she looked back at the X on the wall. Why wouldn't it come off? The Scouring Charm ought to take care of something like this, right? Two Slytherins came up within seconds of each other, and Vashti watched silently as they both tried and failed to get rid of the giant letter. What could be preventing the charm from working? It looked like it was just paint, but maybe... No, she wasn't even going to finish that thought. Hopefully this was just a really elaborate prank...

But what should they do? Following it and getting a teacher both seemed like good ideas. Vashti was rather interested in seeing what it could lead to, but...

"Getting a teacher seems like the wisest choice," she said to them all, though it was one of the Slytherin girls that had asked the question and it didn't seem to be aimed at her. But Treyen, who suddenly showed up, seemed to think otherwise yet was somehow oblivious to the giant X on the wall.

"That trail, Treyen," she said, pointing to the dashes that led away from the large red X on the wall. How was it that he could catch a Snitch but couldn't see the giant red stuff on the wall?

Presley was just wandering the corridors when she came upon a group staring at something. Using her small size to her advantage, Presley ducked in between them and stared at the wall. There was a giant X and blurry letters. She carefully deciphered them. "X marks the spot," she read slowly. "That looks like blood," she said nervously. "What's going on?" She'd heard that strange things sometimes happened at Hogwarts, but this was scary! Pres wasn't easily freaked out, but this seemed as if maybe X was where someone had left a dead student or something. "I'm running for the headmaster," she informed the other students.

Eino frowned when neither of the older students could clean up with mess with magic. Couldn't they do something else? Remove whatever charm it was then erase it? "Try... something else." He shrugged. Perhaps it could have been bewitched with a Fixing Charm or a Permanent Sticking Charm.

Oh good another Prefect. "That..." He said pointing to the X, then the floor, then the lines.

It didn't seem worth a professor's time at first, but none of the students, even older ones, seem to be able to successfully remove the charm. Maybe it wasn't a bad idea after all?

Eino then approached the X for a closer look and something didn't seem right. "I-i-is... that even... paint...?" He asked the Ravenclaw girl as he turned around. What other liquid is red?

Fallon listened to Iris's question. The best thing would be to go get a professor, but she didn't really want to. And then Treyen showed up. Fallon was glad that the Ravenclaw girl [Vashti] pointed the trail out to Treyen. It probably sounded better coming from her than from Fallon. Now back to following it or not...

...and then that girl [Presley] that had yelled about the armor was there talking about going to the Headmaster. Fallon turned to her. "I'm not sure if that's the best idea. We don't even know what this is." She hoped she could convince the younger student to stay. She realized this was towards the older Ravenclaw girl [Vashti] too.

...and the the boy [Eino] was talking. "I really don't know what else to try..." Hey. She was being absolutely truthful. She looked at the red lettering at the mention of his last question. "Um...I think it's paint."

What? Getting a teacher for what? Did someone get murdered or something?

His eyes were on Vashti as she pointed out--OH! Look at the X on the wall! "Oh." Yes, brilliant, eh? It was perfectly clear that he'd failed to notice the most obvious, no?

As both Ravenclaws had pointed the red X and the trail, he was actually thinking they could still follow it, and if they found something worthy of a Professor, then they'll get one, no?

Er, no. The Professor seemed like the best idea? What floor was this again?

"I hope you're not suggesting it is blood." His eyes were on the Ravenclaw boy now.

follow me; everything is all right.

The streaks of red that made up the dashed line along the wall ended only a few meters down the corridor. A few splatters of liquid dripped along the floor, but there was no clear trail.

"How is that not the best idea?" Presley asked in a voice that clearly questioned the older girl's sanity. "As you've so cleverly pointed out, we don't know what this is but we do know that whatever it is, it's not normal. I'm going." Presley turned, and headed down the corridor toward the stairs on her way to the Headmaster.

Vashti moved to the side a bit when a small Ravenclaw suddenly brushed past her to see the wall. She bit her lip as the girl seemed to panic and claimed the letters were written in blood. "Let's not jump to conclusions," she said gently, trying not let her imagination run wild with the girl's statement. Surely, it was only paint. Where would anyone get that much blood to write all this in?

...No, she didn't want an answer to that.

But at least the girl was going to get a professor - or more precisely, the Headmaster. Hopefully the girl would be able to get to him quickly and he could clear all this up.

The girl's comment must have gotten to him too. "It has to be," Vashti replied, trying to sound certain about her answer. "It's just some really weird paint that someone put a spell on to keep from being washed." Right? Right?
