If you chose the tunnel to the right, you will soon find yourself inside the boy's dorms. Each year has a room of its own, and if this is your first time here at Hogwarts, there will always be someone there to help you find your way. The rooms are spacious and actually bigger than they look like they should be.
Magic, perhaps?
Come inside and make yourself at home, get to know your fellow roommates, but don't stay up too late, you wouldn't want to miss any of your classes!
There are absolutely no girls allowed in the boy's dorms. Should a curious female wander into the tunnel, her path will be blocked off immediately, and no spell she may try will remove the obstacle.
Best to keep to yourself ladies, I wouldn't bother trying if I were you.
Now this is getting weird Michael was not only offering a nice broomstick but now just dumped a ton of Galleons on his bed and told him he'd give them to him. No. Well maybe, I think it'd just make me richer.
scooping the gold up and putting it back in the bag " And if I told you some one died so I could have it would that make me unlucky"weighing the bag of gold in his hand Mikey drops it in his foot locker
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
That didn't really happen did it? Oakey felt bad for Michael for a moment. If-If, I don't know... it just sounds like a sad way to have that money, not unlucky.

picking his drink back up and proping himself on his headboard " So it is a matter of perception My dad told me an old saying. I complained about having no shoes until I met an man who had no feet"seeing that the boy had a lot to think on " Why dont you go get some sleep, and tomorrow we will see if we cant start to get your luck to chang, and if your room mate ask what happened tell him I smacked you in the back of the head and told yall to shut up so we can sleep " leaning up and swating the younger kid on the back of the head

Oakey understood, So what your saying is there's always someone out there that has it worse Oakey really liked this saying. Will Do Michael and he headed back to his dorm with a better understanding of what was going on in his life.

Jory was taken aback by Oakey's story. Jory did not believe in superstitions but before he could say anything to Oakey, another boy called Oakey away.

Oakey walked back into the room. Real sorry about that Oakey told Jory. Michael just gave me a bump or two the head, said I was being to loud He then pointed to their fireplace. Apparently our fireplaces are connected via floo. Oakey smiled at Jory What can you tell me about yourself?

Jory nodded at Oakey. He didn't believe him. That was too long a conversation to tell someone just to be quiet. But Jory dropped the matter.
"I was born in Guyana, South America but my family moved to England when I was five. My dad is from Hawaii and on the Hawaii Police Department. My mom is from Australia. Both of them met when they were in Guyana and got married. I've got a younger sister," Jory said.

Cool Oakey said I wish I had a sibling He thought it was pretty cool that so many kids had come from all over the world. He himself moved from the United States to England. Oh your Dad is a Muggle? What about your Mom?

"Nope, they're both muggles," Jory replied. "How about the people who brought you up? They have wizarding history?"
Jory yawned a bit. He was tired from all the excitement of the day.

Harvey? Yeah he's a pureblood.he raised me so well. I'm sort of convinced I'm one as well. Oakey noticed that they were both really tired. Less talkie more sleepie. He told Jory. We can continue this tomorrow
Cage walked into the dormitory, looking around at all of his fellow Badgers. He went to his bed and rifled through his trunk. He found his Quidditch magazine, and started towards the Common Room, when he decided he should get to know his room mates.
He stoop on top of his bed, and loudly proclaimed, "Hi! I'm Cage! Anyone wanna hang out later?!"

Jory yawned again. "Yes," he said pulling the covers back from his bed and getting in. "We'll talk in the morning. Classes early *** well."

As he was getting into bed, Jory noticed a young boy about his and Oakey's age came into their dorm.
The boy announced himself a bit loudly.
"Er, hi," Jory said "I'm Jory."

Alex felt simply foolish doing this BUT...it was part of his assignment. His silly assignment from LORD BORR. Gosh that man was just ridiculous. He was a joke. A big fat joke. HE should be the one touching his toes every day, not Alex. Sighing to himself, he pulled out his journal, ready to write down the gist of the speech he was about to give himself, before turning to the mirror on the wall and taking a deep breath.
"Well, hi Alex. You look taller. Fantastic. Just what you needed. Anyways, you are...erm...a very STRONG, CONFIDENT second year, and you CAN achieve your goal to get good grades this term. Pretty much anything would be an improvement over last term, really. You already got the marks back from your History of Magic homework, and you got EXTRA credit! So, go you," he said, smiling at his reflection. This was kind of fun, actually. He just wished he didn't feel so foolish doing this.
"Another goal we have this year is to get better at flying. Obviously the only way to do that is to practice more sooo...no skipping flying lessons," he told his reflection sternly, crossing his arms. "Oh, and do something about your hair too, it's getting a bit long," he added. He could hook most of it behind his ear now...that was MUCH too long for his tastes. "So mental note--look up a simple hair trimming spell later," he said with a nod. That was an easy fix.
"Finally, your last goal will be to make more friends. You've already made a good start on this," he added, thinking of that really loud Slytherin girl, and Jamie, and the other people he'd socialized with. "So just continue talking to people in your classes and getting to know others. And don't judge all Slytherins by their house, either," he added. "Cause clearly, not ALL Slytherins are going to be mean to you...but still keep an eye out cause the majority seem to not like you at all."
He blamed Sierra for that last bit. Well, right, those were all the goals Alex could think of...get good grades. Make more friends. Learn to fly better. And do something about the mop of hair on his head. Smiling to himself, he made a few quick notes in his diary about speech, before shutting the notebook closed and tucking it under his arm, hurrying out of the dorm before anyone could ask WHAT that had all been about.

He seemed to be the type of person who would tell it like it is; giving sugar coatings to those who appeared to need it. Damien needed to coatings at all; he had no problem if there people in this world who didn't like him; he was sure there would be ones out there he wouldn't get along with either.
Not Lockhart, though. Damien already thought well of him, and believed the two boys would be fast friends.
He followed Treyen in the direction towards the Common Room, nodding his head in agreement. "Once it appears I'll have something set up in the Dormitory, I'll run back to the Room of Requirement to get the rest of my things then," he said before giving his companion a quizzical look. Flood? In the dungeons and kitchen? What did that have to do with the price of tea in China?
Chuckling softly, Damien continued on with Lockhart up the stairs to the Common Room. "Well, after our win against Ravenclaw, I think it's safe to say that I'm begining to like Quidditch ... but only if it's our House Team." he said with a smile.
Fast friends indeed.
Everything was settled, then, because Damien would get his things soon enough, and also, soon enough they'll have someone else in their dormitory. Where he belonged at nights, right?
But, yeah, if the dungeons and the kitchen flooded, then that'd mean that those levels will be flooded as well, leaving them with no Common Rooms. Well, the Hufflepuffs and Slytherins anyway.
Oh, their game against Ravenclaw. Right. He still had that snitch. Treyen had pondered giving it to Conan, but...what if Conan couldn't get it together? What if by breaking it, he'd be breaking something else as well? He played against his Ellie in that game. Maybe the snitch was only a bit too valuable. More than the one he caught in the game against Lola.
"Quidditch has been in my life...since, ever, I think. My dad used to play Quidditch professionally," like Vindictus, like his sister now did.
Soon enough, they were in the dormitories, the fifth year dormitory to be more precise, and there were two empty beds, one extremely neat one that belonged to the quiet boy, one that looked rather girly thanks to Kaia, that was Chandler's. And one that a bunch of books on top of his trunk, and one Knarl looking at the newcomer rather suspiciously, that was Treyen's.
"You can take whichever bed you'd like, of the empty ones, I mean," maybe the one next to Treyen? He sure didn't mind.
Even though he should have been in the dormitories in the first place, Damien still felt uneasy about what he was getting himself into. Lockhart said he wouldn't be disturbing anyone. That may very well be true, but if one of those nightmares floods Damien's sleep again ... well then everyone in the Common Room might be disturbed.
Treyen didn't seem bothered any sort of the matter. Damien understood him just a little bit more; made perfect sense that he was the seeker on the Hufflpuff Quidditch Team. He seemed to enjoy it and having grown up with it, rightly so.
Upon entering the 5th year dormitory, Lockhart gave Damien the tour of the area. Seemed easy enough. Simply pick a bed and all is done.
As if reading Treyen's mind, Damien hesitated before asking. "You'rs is which one again? One of the empty ones next to yours?"

Well, unless Damien wanted a dormitory for himself, he'll be doing good in here. Unless his Knarl, Thaddeus, woke him up one of those nights that the creature feared or suspected from every single shadow.
Treyen was blaming Jake and his disillusionment charms. Tsk.
He noticed that Damien was having issues deciding which one, right? Well, no, he didn't notice, the boy had actually mentioned something about his bed, but he sure looked like he had no idea which one to take. "Mine's...the one with the books," he said, and scratched his head for a moment, "I like to read," obviously.
"You can take that one." He finally said, gesturing to the empty one next to his.
Wow. Treyen certainly did like to read. The knowledge of the bunk full of books cracked a smile in Damien's eyes and he turned back to his new friend. "Have you read all of those already?" he asked; of course not being surprised if he had. Perhaps Lockhart would be a good influence; get Damien back on the right track so to say and get him back to classes and homework.
Maybe even offer some advice on girls.
But that would come much later. He still only just knew Treyen, and vice versa.
He offered Damien the bunk right next to his (the book bunk). Smiling towards him and nodding his head he seemed just fine with that idea. "I'll take it then," he said with a final nod. Only then did the fears of the nightmares come flooding back. And all at once he was uncomfortable again.
"Which one is your favorite?" he asked walking over to his plethora of reading material.

Was it so hard to believe if he said yes? "Actually, I have, but most of them are for studying, though," could he sound even more lame, now? "I mean, I'm not attending the Transfiguration lessons, so I have to study it somehow....and Defense Against the Dark Arts too," because Borr was just stupid and a complete idiot if he thought that all they needed was physical exercise, and...singing.
He looked towards Damien as if to try and read his expression. Did he like books as well?
Maybe he did. It usually work this way: You liked Quidditch, but didn't like books. Or you liked books, but didn't like Quidditch. USUALLY. There were exceptions. Such as himself. And Damien had mentioned that he could like Quidditch, but since he wasn't sure, then maybe the boy in front of him liked both?
He smiled as soon as he chose his bed, and nodded as well. Seems like there was only one that remained empty.
"Muggle or Wizard?" he had to ask, because that could make a great difference.
Damien had to give Lockhart credit. The guy knew how to study, and was apparently good at it (insert massive large stack of books here). But a feeling crept up inside, and Damien had to wonder if by not being as enthusiastic about attending classes here (let alone doing the work necessary) he would end hurt the friendship the two boys have already started.
... Muggle or Wizard ... what? Oh. Books. Treyen must be reffering to which genre of books.
Well ... better now than never to admit he's a slcaker.
"I've actually only read one book, and I'm not sure how it'd be classified. I'm still currently reading it ... just found it in the library last month." (and he's still going through it)
"But other than that book," Damien continued, "I've never really shown an intrest. Required or recreational reading. To be honest, I'm surprised I got put into Hufflepuff House with my record of keeping up with school work."
Which was zero.
So now what? Would Lockhart think any less of him?

Ooooh.
Well, this was...unexpected. VERY unexpected. Treyen didn't mind that Damien wasn't too fond of books, though. The girl Treyen liked practically feared them, and he truly didn't care about that. It wasn't something that will determine if he liked someone or not.
"What's the name of the book you're reading?" he asked, completely interest as to what book had caught his attention. He decided to ignore the fact that he still had not finished reading it and simply shrugged. And then Treyen had to laugh at the hard-working part. It was simply amusing. "Hard-working doesn't apply to homework alone," Merlin knows Treyen had been failing to do that Borr homework, "Perhaps loyal is more your thing, but I'm sure you still work hard in other areas," like, Melanie, last school year, she didn't precisely enjoy her school work, but she worked as hard as ever on the Pitch.
Hmmm. It seemed Treyen was the only one in the dormitory that enjoyed reading for recreational purposes, eh?
"What I meant with Muggle or Wizard...was...that I read both. Muggle books are always refreshing, yet slightly boring, depending on the subject. The literature ones are quite intriguing and just fantastic, though." Why was he still explaining this to Damien? Didn't he already say that he wasn't interested in books? "But, we're Wizards, so it's fairly obvious that I ought to read them too," he smiled, especially the ones written by his own family.
But he didn't mean to bore the boy, not at all. "Do you have any pets?" his eyes wandered off to the Knarl that was slowly peeking his head through his cage.
