With her mind drifting a little out of discussion, Zara finished writing down her homework, and looked around to see if they were good to go. But she decided she had a question. Raising her hand, she asked, "Professor, is it okay if we do both?" Then she bit her lip. Why'd she have to ask when there's probably a 50% chance she won't do it. Oh well. | "Goodbye, Miss Hopkins. See you next time," Risu called out to the student's back. He stacked and re-stacked a few books on his desk in random order while more students filed out - he wanted a few minutes to tidy up the classroom, not to mention wait around for anyone with possible questions.
And it did look like someone had one. Raising a little cloud of dust as he slammed down a heavy star catalogue on the desk, he shook is head. "No, I'm afraid you're only allowed to do one of the two. Well," he amended, wiping his hands on his increasingly dusty robes, "you can of course do both, but I will only grade one of them. If you do feel like handing in both the essay and the, er, creative option, you should let me know which one you'd like to be graded. I will certainly read both pieces, but only award points for one of them." |
