Abandoned Mermaid Lagoon Awards Table The event is nearly finished, but there are still some prizes to award. Talk amongst your friends whilst you wait for the prefects to compare their notes and finalize the winners' list. But don't get too distracted.....or you may miss out on all the fun. ooc: Feel free to RP here, but the prefects will be along shortly to post awards. |
Iris made her way to the Entrance Hall with a very large box. In the box, were quite a few trophies. Yup. Finding a table already set up for them, Iris sighed. No one else was here yet? Ah well. Hopefully Finn and the other prefects would get here soon.... and the students. They were needed, too... Setting the box down on the table, Iris begun to take all the trophies out of the box. |
Making his way slowly to the awards' room, Evan peeked in for a moment and saw only Iris was there yet. Odd, Hogwartians were usually quite quick to find the place of action... guess no one wanted to leave the lagoon yet. Shrugging, he stepped in, smiling at the girl. "Need any help?" he asked as his eyes scanned the room once more. |

Iris looked up, with a peculiar looking trophy in her hand. She smiled when she saw that it was Evan. "Hi, Evan..." Help? That'd be fantastic. "Err, yeah please. Just help me get the trophies out of the box." And then a first year came up to them. Ahh... well, the work wasn't that tedious. She didn't need that much help. "No thanks, sweetie. We should be good on our own." Yup... |
Thea smiled a little. 'Ok..' Turning away, she wandered to a nearby rock and sat down to wait for everyone else to arrive. ..Looving the first yearness... *eye roll* |
Arya DIDN'T want to leave the lagoon. Ever. But she knew that they would probably need some help with the awards, and so she reluctantly left the clear blue waters and sloooolwy made her way to the ground floor. Hair still damp, she made her way over to the Slytherin prefects. "Hey guys! Sorry it took me so long." Though looking around, she noticed she wasn't the only one that didn't want to leave the lagoon. Maybe she'd go back when this was all over... |
Prizes!!!!! Yay. Conan hoped he won. Though he probably wasn't cool enough. Oh well this would be exciting anyway. He rocked on his heels as he awaited the announcements. He couldn't see Treyen. Where was he? |
Aurora dragged herself into the Entrance Hall, tears still streaming down her face. She didn't really want to be here but she felt like she owed it to *Mummy Snake* to attend her event. She hid herself a little in a corner and waited for more people to arrive so that she'd be less conspicuous... |

Penny made her way to the entrance hall...she didn't think she'd won, but she figured she might as well wait to see who did win.. |

He forgave her, "It was horrible of me..." she croaked, her tears drying up. "Maybe we can be friends now..." she hoped; if all this crying wasn't freaking him out already. |

He squeezed her tightly. He hoped there weren't boogers on his robes. Ewwww. Girl boogers. "Sure," he didn't really see that there was a problem. He still liked her. Maybe he was naive. Who knew. |

Aurora smiled into Conan's robes as he hugged her. "Good." she pulled away. "Because we'll be in the same year next term." she added, managing a weak smile. "Sorry, you've got tears all over your robes..." she took out her wand and pointed it at them, "Scourgeo." she was getting better at that, she'd have to practice over summer... oh... wait... she wasn't allowed. Damn! She'd have to get used to spending time without magic... When she'd been homeschooled it had been all year round... |

He frowned, "We will? But I am a second year and you are a first. Won't you be a second year?" That didn't make sense. Conan chuckled, "It's ok." His eyes widened and his body stiffened as she used MAGIC to clean his robes. MAGIC. How could she. He quickly shed his outer robes. They were contaminated now. |

Aurora nodded, "Well I'm old enough for second, I'm only in first year because I was homeschooled in Germany so I have to get used to English ways and language - hence the accent." or lack of one, English was her first language, but so was German... and she spoked a little (bad) French and even less Italian, so her accent was a little muddled. "So Mother put me in first year." she shrugged, she was bored of explaining it. "But I'll be in third year next year." "What's wrong? They're clean now..." she frowned as he removed his outer robes. "They're fine to wear..." |
For Ayra!!! Everyone else: the trophies will be presented shortly. ;) As Ayra made her way over to them, Iris grinned. "Hullo! Ahh... don't worry about it. There's not that many students here yet, anyway... There's no point giving out an award to someone who's not shown up, yet," she said, with a smile. Content that all the trophies were sufficiently displayed, the Head Girl leant against the table and crossed her arms... She was just waiting on more students to show up before she started to address them all. Iris noticed Aurora talking to a small Hufflepuff boy. She looked really upset. The Head Girl made a mental note to go and talk to the girl later, to make sure she was okay. |
Striding into the Entrance Hall with a smile on her face - yes, a SMILE, who knew? - Ryden made her way over to the table where the Prefects were putting trophies and was content to just wait and see who won. Of course, she was secretly hoping it might be her but the brunette was MUCH too hyped up from the day to actually be all that bothered about the outcome. It would hit her later, when the adrenaline pumped down and she went back to being just Ryden. Looking around, she bit her lip. Orlando wasn't here. She wanted him to be here. Hmpf. |
Of course, he had to be here. Orlando hadn't really anticipated something like this after the Lagoon surprise - it was so perfect, he never expected there would be more to it still. Awards? He wasn't sure - what would they be given awards for? Reaching their first? With too many questions and excitement still, the sixteen year old made his way over to the table - his now well trained eyes, finding Ryden at once. "Hellooo" he greeted. "Oh. Are you actually smiling?" he grinned. |
Iris stood up straight, looking around at the people who were here. Eh... she couldn't see all the people who had trophies, but if they didn't show up then she'd just get the prefects to give them out in the common rooms. "Okaaay." She said, looking at her prefects. "Let's do this," she added quietly, before turning to face all of the students. "All right... listen up everyone!" she yelled, to grab everyone's attention. "As you are all now aware, we have an award or two... twelve... to give out. We felt that it'd be nice closure to the whole event." She grinned, "But, we didn't inform you of this earlier to make the actual scavenger hunt all the more fun." "We have three types of awards to give out. Trophies for the first groups to get to the lagoon; trophies for the first students to find the clues at their second location; and trophies for the people who the prefects felt performed outstandingly throughout the whole hunt." The Head Girl stopped talking, and looked at Finlay expectantly. He was the one giving out the first two, after all. |
And there he was. GRIN. Straightening her back as Orlando walked towards her, Ryden nodded back in response. "Hi," was all she said, and then faked a large gasp of surprise, putting a hand over her O-shaped mouth. "But Orlando! Whatever do you mean?" she said in a high, falsetto voice, blinking in face surprise "I have a bright and happy disposition, always!" Pfffft. Hehe. "... It was a fun day, ok? I had fun," she added after a pause, in her normal voice. But still smiling. ... AND THEN. The prefect spoke. Oooooh. PERHAPS SHE'D GET A PRIZE IN THE END. Excited, she turned to Orlando and grinned. YAY. |
Aurora looked to Iris, wiping her eyes so that she could see properly. Ooooh, lots of awards. They should all go to the Slytherins: clearly the cleverest and best of them all... Anyway, she waited, still glancing at Conan who seemed to have reacted strangely to her cleaning his robes for him... |

It was TRUE. Koala dog certainly had more charm on Ryden than Orlando had. He smiled warmly, his eyes twinkling. "I am very glad to hear that." |
