"Oh, oopsie! Sorry about that. I guess I am a bit too excited..." Nika shrugged and turned a little pink. "Heh what can I say, it's my favorite sport!" Nika dropped the ball and rested her foot on it. "Okay so you do know a bit about it. That's good." Nika gave her a reassuring pat on the back. "Don't worry I can teach you how to play! It will be fun" Nika jumped up again. She should really stop eating sugar. "Soooo one thing you have got to remember is no hands. Football is all about footwork! You probably know that though because of the games you watched, but I just wanted to make sure." Nika backed up and put some space in between Emily and herself. "Okay. Let's try passing it back and forth! You have to use the inside part of your foot to pass. It helps get it to where your trying to aim at." Nika straightened up and smiled. She felt good knowing that she was better at something for a change.

"OK!" Emily shouted back, but not being shure she was loud enough gave her a thumbs up to show she understood.
Wizarding things she could do, but sport!
As Nika passed the ball, Emily tried to remeber 'Inside part of your foot'. But as it came closer she simply kicked it with the front of her foot and the ball shot back a few feet from Nika. She'd been aiming it for Nika! "My bad!" she shouted back. She'd do better next time.

Nika ran and picked up the ball. She walked back to her position and smiled at Emily. "It's alright! See when you kick it with the front of your foot it sort of bounces off where ever instead of going where you want it to go. It was a good try though! Here watch me do it." Nika kicked the ball and it landed right in front of Emily. "Now you try it!"

Emily blushed. Nika was much better at this sort of thing. Was this how she'd felt last charms lesson when she'd done the charms first time and Nika hadn't?
Moving back a bit, she took a running start and, with the side of her foot, aimed for Nika and kicked. It rolled across the fields and landed near Nika. Not exact. But near enough.
"Yey!" she said smiling. Happyness!

"That was really good! I think you are starting to get the hang of this!" Nika passed the ball back to Emily. "Let's just pass it back and forth a few times and then we can work on dribbling! That's the fun stuff!!" Nika smiled widely. Not only did she get to play her favorite sport, but she got to play it with one of her best friends.

Emily gave her another thumbs up and passed it back with the side of her foot. Yey it worked again!
"So when did you get into football?" Emily ask-well shouted really, as she kicked the ball back again. She was getting the hang of it!

"Well I started when I was really young! My mother wanted to get me into a sport and all that. I just loved it and I wanted to continue!" Nika noticed that Emily was able to pass back and forth and so she took the ball into her hands and ran towards Emily. "Okay so this part is going to be a little harder." She was half thankful that she didn't have to shout anymore. "Dribbling gets easy once you get the hang of it! It's just running and passing the ball back and forth between your feet." Nika dropped the ball onto the ground. "REady to give it a go?"

"I have to run, and pass it?!" she said. Standing and passing it was one thing, but running with it and trying to pass it.
"As I'll ever be." she said biting her nail. Of course she woudn't be good first time!

Caroline grinned. Aww she made him blush that was so cute. "You're welcome. That or the fact that I am good listener or my natural athletic talent." She laughed and blushed herself. She found it hard to believe that she could learn anything being in his presence. She found it hard to do anything really while she was a around him.

She waited for the ball to com to her. She heard him ask her if he could tell her a secret. She stopped the ball "Mmmm yeah, sure" The question some what caught her off guard. What? He did he just say that was looking forward to going to the kitchen after the match, more than the match. "Really? I'm excited about it, too." She smirked back at him "You better not let anyone else know that." She giggled. [B]"Don't worry I won't tell anyone." She winked at him.

She looked down at the ball. She was tired and really wouldn't have minded a break so they could just talk a bit. She nodded "That sounds great, I love to cook and bake.I bet that will be fun" She grinned. "Want to take a break for a bit?"

"Yeah! Oh, don't worry Em you will be fine! Its actually not as hard as you think." Nika handed her the ball. "Just practice kicking it back and forth between your two feet before we start to run and dribble."

Carter chuckled. "Yeah. It could very much be one of those things." he said.

Carter put a finger to his lips and made a 'shh' face after her next comment. "It's true. We wouldn't want Simon to hear that." he said with a little chuckle. He could just imagine the look on his face if he had just heard that he was looking more forward to seeing a girl than taking on Slytherin. His mental image went along the lines of his teammates telling him he wasn't a true Gryffindor.

Not that any of them would do that of course. If anything, they'd be super supportive. Especially since he hadn't really been this excited about hanging out with someone in a long time.

Stupid love potions. They should be outlawed.

But none of the crap of the past two years mattered to him right at this moment. And it didn't take long for him to completely abandon that line of thought and rejoin the present.

"Yeah. That sounds good." he replied as he walked back over to Caroline.

He plopped on the grass next to her and laid on his back for a few seconds. Then he propped himself up on his elbows and looked over to her.

Caroline Whispered "especially if the girl that is a Slytherin"She teased and giggled lightly. She wondered what she was going to wear to the match and the kitchen afterward. Oh this boy was turning her into more of a girly girl. well not really, but she was quite excited about picking out what she was going to wear.

She was so busy thinking about clothes the she barely noticed that he had already walked over and was laying on his back. She picked a blade of grass and tore it into tiny little pieces and threw it up in the air. She turned and looked at him. She had caught his eye and grinned. She was sure that she blushed for the miillionth time today.

She cleared her throat. "Soo..." She thought of something to say since she just opened her mouth. She couldn't think of anything to say. For once Caroline Scott was at a loss for words. Ahh the weather that always clears up silent moments. She started to speak again..but... ah She closed her mouth and smiled at him. There was about a thousand things she wanted to say at the moment. "I'm glad March is here." She finally spoke.

Emily nodded but said nothing as she took the ball from Nika. At least they were spending time together.
She started to pass it between her feet, but it simply looked like she was waddeling on the spot.
"I don't think I'm doing it right. Did you want me to move and pass it between my feet?" If so she felt really silly. Well, she looked it at the moment.

Nika was trying her hardest not to laugh. She kept a straight face and tried not to look Emily directly in the eye. 'She is doing good for her first time anyways.' Nika took the ball from Emily and began to do the little drill herself. "It's a bit hard to explain. It would be better if I just demonstrated. See you just want to juggle the ball in between your feet. Like this." Nika looked up at her friend and noticed she seemed a bit worried. "Don't worry you were doing fine. Here try again." She passed the ball back to her friend.

Emily raised an eyebrow and watched. "Ok" she nodded. At least she knew what she was doing - well, trying to do.
She copied Nika best she could, moving the ball from foot to foot.
"I think I'm getting the hang of it!" But just as she said this, the ball moved in front of her foot and she kicked it. Woops.
She ran and retrived the ball, then passed it back to Nika.
"Sorry. I think I'm ready now." Hopefully.

Nika let out a small chuckle as the ball went flying into the air. "Don't worry this all comes with practice." Nika crossed her arms in front of her and made sure to stand a safe distance from Emily, you know just in case.

Carter chucked. "Yes. Definitely." he said still chuckling. He lowered his voice to a whisper. "We couldn't want my captain to spot us out here. He might forbid me from dating the enemy." he said with a wink.

"Oh yeah? Any particular reason?" he asked. He was glad it was getting warmer, but other than that he was indifferent to it being March.

He then swatted off one of the grass blade pieces that landed on his face.

Yeah... that probably looked attractive...

His mind then wandered back to the fact that it was March.

Which meant O.W.L.S. were just that much closer.

Caroline laughed along with him. She felt her heart pouding in her chest, and butterflies in her stomache. whoaa. What was that feeling? She hadn't felt like that since the begining over summer. She was slightly confused.

He said dating? After the whole calling him her boyfriend thing. He was going to mention dating? She was pretty confused. She coughed and cleared her throat."mmm...yeah." She said maybe they were getting somewhere with what happen at The Three Broomsticks. Maybe by saying that it would be an ice breaker to clearing it up. Maybe?

"I love March it starts getting warmer and its one more month from my birthday. And the term is soon to be over." She said happyily she really like the warmer weather mostly. She giggled slightly as he swatted the bits of grass off his face. "Sorry" she giggled. There was a few bits still in his hair. "Here, you have some in your hair, too" She reached over and ran her hand over his hair. ohhhhh Soft. She smiled and blushed, putting her hand back on her lap

Carter smiled. "Yeah. I love the warm weather." he said. "Not so much the leaving school part." Things were a bit different for him than other students. When he left here he left the magical world, minus the few trips to Diagon Alley. But the summer also meant he'd be able to see Mina again, which was something to look forward to. Maybe he'd spend a few days in London again visiting with her at her cousin's place.

As Caroline leaned forward to get the rest of the grass out of his hair he tried his hardest not to blush.

And he failed, miserably.

When she sat back up he looked into her eyes for a second. And then the feeling that he'd had a few times now took over. He leaned forward and kissed her.

He then smiled. "I've been wanting to do that for awhile now." he confessed with a slight blush.

Caroline nodded. She really didn't want to leave school either just have classes over with. "I don't want to go home for summer, just would be nice to not have classes you know?" But this summer she really didn't plan on staying with her mother at all this summer. She was planning on visiting her sister in New York for a while, maybe her brother in Taiwan that sounded nice. Go to her friends houses and stay with them some.

She checked his hair again for extra bits of grass the maybe didn't come out. Her eyes met his. Her heart started beating faster. She was getting ready to focus her eyes somewhere else, before she could she felt him move closer to her, and his lips press against her. He's kissing me. Ok, was that him making it offical? She'd only kissed or been kissed only once, over the summer and it was a dare. It was terrible, but this kiss was amazing. So what does that mean now?

She smiled back and blushed "About time." she teased "Yeah, I've been wanting you to do that for a while now." She learned forward and kiss him, again. There was no way that she was ever frowning again. At least for a while. He had just kissed her. She was blushing a bight red. She threw her arms around him to hug him. "So is that comfirming the boyfriend slip up last week?" She giggled. She really wasn't sure how it worked people getting together. She had always just been pushed forced into dating other people by her mother.

Emily had her tounge sticking out and began to kick the ball. She didn't kick it hard so it didn't go too far then ran after it, kicked it while running, continued running ect. Was this even right? She then kicked the ball too hard and had to run after it and kicked it back to Nika.
"How was that?" What was that would have been a better question!

"Well it's closer." Nika gave her a reassuring smile. "Not quite the drill I wanted you to do, but it is still very close to dribbling." Nika kicked the ball up in the air and bounced it off her toes. "You want to keep the ball very close to you though. Just imagine if we were playing a real game of football. The closer the ball is to you, you have more control over it. And the harder it will be for the opponent to get it from you." Nika echoed her words back in her head. 'Did what I said make any sense?'

Carter nodded. "True. But I think that's just the fact that OWLS are this year." He heard fifth year was one of the worst years.

"Will you be around much over the summer?" he asked. "The offer to visit is still open." he said with a smirk. "I do have to warn you though, my sister adores company. If she offers to do your nails just smile and get it over with. She'll keep asking until you agree to it."

He smiled and kissed her back. Then he returned the hug.

"Absolutely." he said. "Of course, this means I expect you to wear just a tad bit of red for the match. You know, to show your support." he said with a wink.

"Plus, a bit of red in a sea of green will be a lot easier for me to spot in the air. Maybe I'll be able to wave to you or something."

Well, maybe there was only one thing that could make Caroline frown at this point, the dreaded OWLS. "Yea, that's true. OWL year."She'll be glad when they're over with. Nornally she was studious by nature but this year she really had to buckle it down.

"Well I know that I'm not staying at home much with my mother."she told him, she knew that much. "My sister is in New York and my brother is in Taiwan, I'd like to visit them for a while." She nodded. "Of course if you want me to I will" Awww his sister sounded wonderful, and cute. ''Awww that's cute. I love having my nails done." She giggled.

Caroline grinned. She would have to find something red to wear to the match something big and red "Well of course I'll wear red to show my support for my boyfriend." Her grin widen. She leaned over and put her head on his shoulder. "There's something that I should have mentioned earlier when we first met. Something that only a few people know about." It wasn't really anything bad.... well to bad he should just know about most of her friends know.

"Oh. New York sounds fun. I've never been there." Carter said. Nope, he had once been to York though. Plain ole over here York. "I have been to Taiwan though." Except it was typhoon season last time he was over there. That wasn't really fun.

"I'd love it if you would." he said. "In fact, it would free me from the insanity of hiding this half of my life all the time." Which, he would probably have to explain the situation to her in more detail sometime before the summer.

He smiled and put his arm around her as she leaned against his shoulder. "What's that?" he asked.

She wasn't a werewolf, was she? The could get a little weird...
