The Entrance Hall Welcome to Hogwarts! You enter and leave the castle through two great oak front doors to stand in the majestic Entrance Hall. There are numerous doors and staircases leading off from the hall as well as the four house points hourglasses |
Maybe it was because classes hadn't started yet, or everyone was outside enjoying the last bit of sunshine before books took over - but Neptune Bott found herself in a seemingly empty Entrance Hall. Student here, ghost there, but pretty... alone. Neptune took the area while she had it, and made it her stage. She sat her wand on a banister and set it to producing butterflies - then danced around in and under them. ... because she could. |
Why exactly had Trixie found herself here? And why on Earth was Neptune Bott dancing around with a load of butterflies without a care in the World? Riiiiiiight... O____________o The Blonde never usually found herself here, at this time of year she'd be out relaxing before NEWT revision kicked in and the swotty girl studied as hard as she possibly could. She wanted to do well so attending as many lessons as possible was a must. But first, to work out why exactly Neptune was floating around in her own little dream world. Hmm... "Err.. Care to explain exactly what it is your doing?" she asked, approaching the younger student with an eyebrow raised. Some kind of..ritual.. Cos she was pretty certain normal people didn't stand there and do that, especially not in the middle of the Entrance Hall. |
Quote:
GASSSSSSSPPP! "Trixie!" YAY! Neptune Bott was SO genuinely happy to see her friend she didn't bother chiding Trixie for that tone. Or pointing out that it was obvious what Neptune was doing. Playing in butterflies and pretending, indeed, that she didn't have a care in the world. HUUUGS! Neptune went in for hugs. "Don't look sour. You're much too pretty." HUGS HUGS HUGS and giggles! |
Woaaah. O___O Okay someone was happy to see her. Trixie couldn't help but to genuinely smile. Well she appreciated actually being wanted for once. "Hey Neptune" she grinned. Or would she prefer being called Neppy or something? Trix wasn't exactly good with nicknames anyway, unless they were totally obvious ones. But then she was suddenly being pulled into a hug and the seventeen year old hugged back, not quite as enthusiastically as the sixth year had done. Sour? How could she look.. sour? Eh.. "Um.. Thanks?" she raised an eyebrow trying to work out if it was indeed a compliment, well the word pretty was anyway. She glanced down at her badge as she realised it had been knocked slightly. |
DOUBLE GASP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 "I know what that is!!!!!!!!" Neptune point point POINTED to the Head Girl badge, then tapped it gently with her finger tip. GAAASSSPPPPPP one more time. "You're the Head Girl." IN CASE Trixie wasn't AWARE. Neptune clapped her hands together daintily and giggled. "I must have missed the announcement! How exciting!" Neptune was so friends with ALL the right people. |
..... Well that was one of the most excitable reactions she had received since people found out she was Head Girl. The Blonde grinned back at the younger blonde whilst nodding excitedly. Sure people were proud of her and stuff, but Neptune seemed very.. happy. "Yes I am" she glanced down at the badge and then back up. "I don't think it WAS announced, Headmaster Tate certainly never mentioned it in his opening speech, I just introduced myself to a lot of the new Slytherins" she informed her. And that took enough of her time, she didn't stop talking and running around. |
"I would have wanted a parade," Neptune mused, let alone an announcement. Banners and a throne, too. Her features twitched, a quick and sad little look crossing her face for just a moment at the thought of a throne. But she recovered quickly and tugged Trixie over to where the butterflies were still fluttering from Neptune's wand. ....giggle. Weren't they glorious? Neptune's favorite spell. Her butterflies were immaculate, ranging in sizes and colors, each more gorgeous than the one before it. "You won't tell on me to the Head Girl for doing magic in the corridor, right? This is more of a.... Hall. Anyway." Giggle. |
Cass didn't know why she found herself at the entrance hall. It wasn't like this was some place hidden and secret... But she had to admit...it looked less scary now that she was a second year... |
Alice walked into the entrance hall feeling lost. She knew where she was, but lost mentally. Taking a couple of steps to the nearest bench Alice collapsed, staring at the doors in front of her but not really seeing them. Should she have done that? Was that really the right thing to do? |
Quote:
.... Yeah. That was short lived. In a few moments Lexi was toppling over and landed in a heap right next to a bench that held her little Gryffie pal. "Ooomph! Alice... did anyone else see that?" she asked through giggles as she lasy in a pile in the floor. |
Quote:
Lexi was bent over giggling. Did anyone see that? Alice looked around the entrance hall to find the people who were there were still looking and chatting the way they had been before Alice was pulled out of her staring contest with the door. "No, I don't think anyone saw," Alice said with a weak attempt at a smile. She took Lexi's hand and helped to pull her onto the bench next to her. "That looked a bit painful though. Are you alright?" |
Quote:
Lex unholstered her wand and summoned her pink Converse to her and put them on quickly. Heheh. That was epic. Perhaps Glisseo on the Entrance Hall WOULD be worth the trouble. Mhm. |
Quote:
"My mother sent me a letter asking me to send her some of her things via the owl she sent me. No explanation, just that she needed them and to do it as quickly as possible." Alice let out a sigh, the emotions she was feeling still overlapping between sad, angry, hurt, and numb. "So, I got the box of things from my dad and I took them out by the lake and burnt them all. They're now nothing more than a crumpled pile of ash." Alice's face was blank when she finished. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the small pile of ashes and set it on the little bench space between her and Lexi. |
Quote:
And.. woaaaah. She was suddenly being tugged over to a load of butterflies. Pretty yes, but was this what Neptune did whenever she was bored or lonely? Cos surely there was better things to do. And there could be people that were actually scared of insects around here, not that Trixie was, they were gorgeous to look at. A pretty perfected spell as well. "What do you mean?" Tell on her to the Head Girl? But she WAS the Head Girl? "No I'm not going to tell anyone, your not doing any harm are you?" she asked switching her eyes from the butterflies back to Neptune. "Just, don't keep it going for too long..It will get boring after a while anyway" she smirked a little. |
Quote:
Without hesitation she brushed the ashes off in the floor and pulled Alice into a big hug petting her hair and shhhhhhhushing her sobs. "Alice, I am so sorry that you are having to go through this all. I know it is difficult, but I am here for you and will help you in anyway I can," she told her softly. Sighing as she petted the girl's hair again she squeezed her tightly and continued, "Is there anything I can get you... anything I can do to help? You just want to talk?" |
Quote:
"What do I do Lexi? My mother is just gone and my father is not holding it together. I worry about him, being all alone with nothing but his thoughts. And it certainly doesn't help that the whole town is talking about it," Alice mumbled into Lexi's shoulder once she had gotten the ability to speak. Alice pulled away slightly so she could look Lexi in the eyes. "I thought that by burning her things I was getting back at her somehow, but really it doesn't change anything. It doesn't change what she did or the fact that my father is hurting. Why couldn't she have just given some kind of explanation?! Hell make up a reason why she had to go instead of just leaving! Does she not even care about my father enough to at least have that much decency?" Alice was fuming now, the sadness leaving her again and a violent look going in her eyes. "I don't care that she's out of my life but my father....I don't know that I can help him through this Lexi. I don't know that I can convince him that it wasn't anything that he did. Every letter that I get he is just getting worse and worse." Alice was quiet for a moment, a blankness returning to her eyes. "What if...." Alice trailed off, not wanting to think of that. |
Quote:
"The truth is, I can't answer this for you. People do things without any logical reason that we can see sometimes. YOur mum is the only one that can answer those questions. And until you are prepared to ask and she prepared to talk I have no idea," she said in all honesty as she released Alice from the hug and tried to wipe her tears away best she could. Smiling a bit sadly she shook her head. "The BEST advice I can give you is to focus on making yourself happy right now. Try to deal with it, work through it and get past it. Then you can help your dad deal," she offered with a nod. Yes, that was the key. |
Quote:
"I don't need her to explain it to me, I need her to explain it to my father," Alice said, wiping away a tear with her sleeve. "He's the one that needs her to say something. And Lexi...my father is all that I have. If something happens to him I'll have no one. I have no other family that I can turn to...I'd have no home left if something happened to him." Make herself feel happy first? Alice's face showed nothing but confusion. How could she make herself feel happy knowing what she knew? "Make myself happy?" Alice whispered, it coming out more like a question than a statement. Alice looked at Lexi, hoping to find some kind of answer in her eyes, but sadly she found none. She knew Lexi understood and she could tell that Lexi was still trying to find an answer herself. |
Quote:
Hearing Alice whisper the question Lexi pulled her back into a hug and petted her hair some more. Pulling back and bending down that little distance to look Alice right in her eyes she tucked a piece of hair behind her little ear and smiled. "I know it sounds SO out of order. But look at it like this. What good are you going to be at making others happy if you aren't happy yourself? Trust me. Find some peace inside of you first... then try to help others," Lexi told her in all seriousness. |
Quote:
"That is true," Alice said with a little smirk. "I guess I can't really help my dad move on from this if I'm not happy either." Alice looked down at the ground a couple of minutes before looking back up at Lexi. "I don't know what I'd do without you Lexi. You're the only one who seems to really understand it, you know? I mean, other people care, but you understand." Alice looked at Lexi for another moment before reaching into her jean pocket and pulling out the pink handkerchief Lexi had given her. She tied it around her head before giving Lexi another smile. |
Quote:
"Oh please, Trix," Neptune rolled her eyes. "Give yourself a little credit. If they made ME Head Girl I'd want a parade. And confetti and elephants!" AT LEAST. She took Trixie's hand and held it. ... then did a little twirl under the older girl's arm. "I'm actually practicing. My mother is making me do this..... thing. Silly. I don't want to talk about it." Pause. Except.... "Do you have a magical talent?" Hmm. With her free hand, Neptune caught one of the little blue butterflies and put it on Trixie's shoulder. Giggle. CUTE. |
Quote:
"I try, kiddo. I try," Lexi said with a small smile touching her lips. Her smile brightened further as Alice tied the pink handerkerchief around her head. "How are you enjoying classes so far, Alice? Been having a tough time concentrating or is everything fine where that is concerned?" she asked, concern clear on her face. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
"Classes have been... not great to be honest. I have been having trouble concentrating. had a lot of silly stuff on my mind," she admitted with a small frown. "OWLs... I am dreading them SO much. Runes is just... terribly difficult for me, although this term it is getting easier," Lexi replied with a certain amount of disappointment in her voice. |
Lee Fallon was in the entrance hall. She was looking at the hourglasses for some strange reason. It really wasn't that far into term and the points were still pretty close and could go anywhere. After all, there was almost a whole term left. Fallon let out a sigh and looked around the Entrance Hall. She didn't see anyone she knew, which wasn't really shocking. Hogwarts was huge and they could be anywhere right now. She was really bored though. |
Quote:
As he kept walking he spotted a lonely girl. The boy debated on whether to talk to her or not. Eh, what they hey. "Hi." he said as he approached her. Yeah, he wasn't the best at meeting new people. |
Fallon looked at the younger student, who really wasn't that much shorter than her. She didn't like being short sometimes. He seemed nice and she was bored... "Hello." She hadn't really met many new people in a while. What should she say..."So what brings you to the entrance hall on this fine October day?" Yeah she sounded weird. Better let the kid know that now. She also noticed that he looked somewhat familiar. Maybe she saw him in the common room... |
Quote:
What did bring him here? Oh yeah, "Well, I kinda got lost and ended up here." he smiled. Really, he walks down one hall and ends up somewhere he's never been before, crazy school. Where were his manners, pssh. "Oh, I'm Simon," he said extending his hand out, "Simon Macalister." he will never get tired of saying his name. |
Quote:
Fallon smiled, glad that the younger student had manners. "I'm Fallon McCarthy." Simon Macalister. That name sounds familiar. Then it hit her. He was her serpent sidekick thing that Professor Lafay had set up. It was a pretty cool idea. "It's nice to meet you Simon." |
Gotta go, but I'll be back later =) Quote:
"Nice to meet yah too, Fallon." Simon grinned. "So what are you doing here all alone?" he asked curiously. Most of the people he's seen around always had a buddy with them. |
Elyon skipped into the Entrance Hall. She wasn't exactly sure why she was there, but she was. Pulling a book out of her bag, she sat down on the floor, up against the wall, reading to her heart's desire. It was quiet here, no one would disturb her. No one ever spoke directly to her, she only had one friend, and they never found time to speak anymore, but people around her were often rather noisy. She was glad to be in the silence. Her legs felt cool on the marble floor, which felt good after she'd been in the hot sun outside for a little while. |
all right =) Quote:
Fallon shrugged her shoulders. "I just came to look at the hourglasses for some strange reason. I was just gonna hang out here and draw or something probably." She did have her stuff in her bag. |

"I'm sorry to hear that, maybe another day you can explain why. A bit painful yes it is."Adam said still holding his legs. "Even I can't do spells well, just help me to the Hospital Wing."Adam added in a rush. He took her shoulder and kinda stood up so that his weight was dragging beneath her. |

Alice's eyebrows furrowed and her lips frowned when Lexi said she was struggling with her classes. "I am sure everyone in their fifth year is struggling right now," Alice said with a gentle smile. "And you're a hard working and intelligent witch, so I am sure you will be able to work it out." Alice noted the slight sense of disappointment at the fact that things seemed to be getting better. "I know I'm having my own problems Lexi, but if you need someone to talk to or want to talk about something, I am here." |
Thread two out of...many *evil* Quote:
Chandler folded his arms and now raised both of his eyebrows, giving the boy who had previously flailed a questioning look. And now Leo looked serious too, but out of the two Chandler would be the best at looking serious. He was ALWAYS serious and half of the time the complete opposite of his best friend. Good, at least he wasn't going to tell him HOW to not ruin the vibe. Chandler actually thought it would be helpful...too late now. "She got zat at...a toy store?" But toy stores were so...KID LIKE! And he was nearly fifteen, well fifteen in March that was, still near! Chandler didn't like toy stores either, they were filled with little kiddy toys. "Maybe she should." HINT HINT. Because by the look on his face it SHOWED that he wanted one. He also wanted a police uniform and then he could be PC Montague, arresting people and stuff. :3 FINALLY! They were actually IN Hogwarts. Took them long enough. |
Quote:
SNORT. Skipping another time them.. Holding his guy up with a serious look, Leopold licked his lips. He was walking all slow making sure NO ONE was in the Entrance Hall cause if there WAS anyone that was here they would be undetected. THIS would result in getting shot in the face with a water gun, enough said. Wait, HOLD UP, was he questioning his plastic walkie talkie?! OH HECK NO. And was he dissing the TOY store?! :gasp: HE GLARED. HE FLAT OUT GLARED AT THE OTHER BOY."My mom buys ALL my spy gear at the TOY STORE!!"He yelled and stomped. THETOY STORE WAS COOL DANG IT..... O_______________O Oh crap, WHAT IF THE BAD PEOPLE FIGURED OUT WHERE HE GOT HIS SPY GEAR AT !? OH NO HE WAS IN TROUBLE...A nervous look spread on Leopold's face as he looked around a corner. "I HOPE YOU DIDN'T HEAR THAT BAD SPIES!!!"....that is, if there were any bad spies aroud. Looking back at his friend he whispered franctically."I DON'T THINK THEY HEARD ME...WE GOTTA KEEP IT ON THE DOWN LOW THOUGH..." YES.YES. And now FRENCH!fry was asking for equipment. "NO. You like...go to a grown up store or something..." Silly FRENCH!fryPOOPY!headBEST!friendCHANNY!Bunny. <_< |
Marie sat on the stairs in the Entrance Hall trying to warm up a bit. Not bothering to pay attention to the weather she had went out for a morning walk without putting on a sweatshirt or something a bit warmer than the jeans and a t-shirt she was wearing. She wasn't ready for it to be cold yet, she wanted it to stay warm all year round. Then again, being cold did have it's advantages... when Jimmy was around. Hmm, where was that boy when she needed him? |
Ohman... I fail with lateness! *hides* Quote:
Looking back up at the girl she gave a little shrug and sighed slightly. "Nothing that a little hard work won't fix, ya know," she said with a wink before shifting her gaze out the doors. |
Quote:
"Hey," Cedric simply greeted, coming to a halt at once. His muddy brown eyes now fixed upon the girl, he tried to remember when and where he'd seen the girl before. He'd seen her everywhere at various times and places. What could one expect? They were in the same school. He must have shared classes with her. |
Quote:
Lost in thought she jumped a bit when she heard someone talking to her. Looking up she seen the Hufflepuff Prefect standibg there. "Oh, hey." She said smiling at him. She hadn't talked to him since... well never. Sure they had battled together a few terms ago but there was really no talking going on then. Hmm, wonder what made him want to talk to her today. Not that she was complaining. She liked making friends... Sometimes. |
Quote:
"How are you?" was all Cedric could come up with. That made him feel sort of awkward. |
anyone :') It was, beautiful. Truly gorgeous. The fact that his parents had just dumped him, what seemed like ages ago, off at the station and expected him to be able to find his way through to Hogwarts and around the castle by himself, Ethan wasn't doing too badly. Of course, he didn't have a map handy, which would make things easier, but politeness got you everywhere. He hoped. Well, the dorms seemed pretty nice, he hadn't actually met any of the other students yet, or at least, not to socialise with, but they seemed pretty civil. If a bit barbaric. But then again, they hadn't had the advantage of waiting four years before going into wider education, they had been... Oh, for the right word... Thrust into society with no help as to how to behave or any clue on the correct things to say. Poor wretches. Maybe, if he met with some of the younger ones on a regular basis, he could teach them correct etiquette and how to dress themselves to look presentable. At least at that rate they may be able to get a job once they'd graduated. Finding himself a decent perch, Ethan discovered that he could sit, quite unobserved and watch the comings and goings of students. Some of them noticed him, but carried on, an odd look it their eye. They were obviously just admiring his pristine uniform. Mother had allowed him to take an iron with him. He'd look neat every day. |

Far gone into the depths of his thoughts about the clubs he could start up on a Friday night to smooth off the rough corners of some of his Slytherin acquaintances, Ethan was a little more than just surprised when a small-framed blonde crashed into his person. A hint of irritation sparked through his usually serene countenance, but it was gone as soon as it came. Dropping to his knees to retrieve the younger girl's books for her, he smiled calmly at her, "Not at all, it's I who should be apologising," handing the books back to her in his long fingered grasp, he straightened his tie and nodded briefly, "quite alright, thank you." Feeling a silence beginning to form, awkward of all silences, he dropped his gaze to her books. "Potions! I was never that good at concocting anything, I'm sure you're quite the opposite..?" Leaving it hanging slightly so the girl took the hint to expand on her views of the subject, Ethan could feel the charm worming its way back into his bones. Hello Norton. |
Quote:
She shrugged her shoulders and blushed. "Well, I'm pretty okay at it. It's one of my best subjects. I really enjoy potions a lot, except the teacher, she's a bit scary. " she told him. She then thought it would be wise to introduce herself. "I'm Emma Malfoy, third year Slytherin. What's your name?" she asked, holding her hand out for him to shake. She beamed him a smile. |
Quote:
The teacher was scary. For one second, and one second only, the impression of another person registered on an emotional scale in his head. What if he was scared by this teacher too? Fear was a.. Well, a weakness. Everyone knew that. Reaching out to take, Emma's hand in his, Ethan smiled softly, "Ethan Norton, sixth year, and it appears we're in the same house. How... Fortunate." He allowed himself to be drawn in by his own amusement and |
Quote:
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Ethan. Yes, very fortunate." she added, smiling. YAY! Another Slytherin. She smiled happily. Woot! Another person to hang out with in the Common Room. Wow, he was three years older than her, but he was still very cute. And wow, this was quite a formal conversation. "So is this your first year at Hogwarts?" she asked, curiously, still smiling. |
ehe, you'll have to get used to the way he talks & thinks :') Quote:
Rest of the Cynical Word - 0 He was chivalrous. Tempted to get her to write down the comment she'd just been so kind enough to bestow on him, Ethan simply swallowed down the whoops of joy, and nodded carefully at her. Years of training. A man could get whiplash from nodding too quickly. Oh. She learned fast. Soon enough he'd get her fitting the word "fluctuation" in to her sentences instead of the word "changing" or whatever. "Yes, it is." He replied slowly in answer to her question, "My parents thought it was better for me to spend more time in adult company so that when I left home to come to Hogwarts," he still hated the name, it just sounded so, dirty, "I'd be able to use correct terminology and be able to not have wild mood swings as I've heard many teenagers do." According to Arthur, many a fist-fight had broken out between school-boys all around the country because of this lack of control over their tempers. It seemed highly improper that they should have to soil their names or clothing just to give in to an urge that should be so easy to resist. Thank goodness he'd had proper parenting. "What about you, is this your third year?" |
Quote:
She raised her eyebrow, surprised. She nodded. "Ah.. I see. You speak very well. I'm glad that I came to Hogwarts. However, at home my parents and grandparents except me to speak like a grown lady. It's partly because we're Malfoys." she explained. Emma smiled and nodded. "Yes it is! So what do you enjoy doing for fun? Do you play quidditch?" she asked, with a bright smile. |
Quote:
"Malfoys, hmm? Aren't they a really old Slytherin family? Go far back?" He asked, a renewed spark in his voice. His parents would be SO pleased if he wrote and let them know that the first person he'd made himself known to was a member of one of the oldest families in the history of the Slytherin time. They went much further back than the Nortons. Ahh, now history. That was something he excelled in. A short bark of laugher escaped his lips before he could stop it, shaking his head, he quickly intoned, "No, Quidditch is really, not my thing at all. I'm far better at Muggle sports. My feet stay on the ground in their cases." And he fitted into the uniform too. With the pads for Quidditch, he just looked a bit, well, daft. |
Quote:
She smiled in a nice, friendly way. "Aww, it isn't. Personally, I love Quiddicth. I've been playing ever since I could walk. Oh Muggle Sports? Then what muggle sports do you enjoy playing? Football, American football, Rugby, Basketball, Tennis? I don't really know a lot about muggle sports.." she explained, hopefully he could explain more. |
rounding this up as I'm tired :') Quote:
"Tennis and hockey." Ethan retorted, slipping the newly found pencil behind his left ear, "although Tennis is my favourite. You basically, hit a ball with rackets, over a net, but it has to bounce once in either side before you hit it..." Explanations. She'd caught him at his weak spot. Glancing up at the clock behind Emma, he rapidly consulted the timetable in his head, where he needed to be, where he was and the amount of minutes that they'd been standing talking and brought it up to... "I'm terribly sorry, I've got a Divination class that I'm going to be three minutes late for." Taking Emma's hand in his again, he shook it warmly, but not too firmly, and smiled at her, "It has been.. A pleasure, I'll hope to see you again some time, perhaps in the common room." Cutting himself off quickly before he began to list all the other places they could meet, Ethan detached his hand from hers, gave her one final grin, called out a quick, "goodbye!" And made his way back up the stairs, toward the Divination towers. |
Quote:
How was she doing? Well let's see, her boyfriend just pretty much told her he didn't care about her feelings and then walked away from her leaving her on the pathway crying and feeling like a hippogriff just walked all over her chest. She wasn't about to share that information though. Not with someone she was just meeting... well meeting again after a couple years. No, she would just keep that So that's just what she did. Hugging James robes close to her she smiled. "I'm doing just great. Couldn't be better." LIE! "How are you?" His life had to be better than hers that was for sure. |
Quote:
"Are you sure you're fine, Marie?" He just remembered her name, see. Hence he called her by her name. The seventh year flopped down on the stairs, seating right beside the girl but kept a fairly good amount of distance lest Marie might feel rather uncomfortable. |
Quote:
Time to change the subject. "So I haven't seen you around much. Well last term I didn't see you much anyway. What have you been up to, other than prefecting." Yep, talk about him, that should be a safe thing to do. |
Quote:
And then Marie asked him about something, probably trying to change the subject. Of which she succeeded. "Ah, yeah, I've been away last term. Gone almost half of the term." Cedric didn't really want to elaborate where had had been half of the term of the last one. It'd be downright embarrassing in his part. Cedric grudged a grin, endeavoring to obscure the red spots that were starting to flare on his cheeks. |
Quote:
"Well that would explain why I didn't see you around much. I'm glad to see you're back though." She said giving him a friendly smile. Was he... blushing? Why would he do that? All she did was ask what he had been up to. Did he not like to talk about himself? |
Quote:
He raked a hand through his tousled dark brown hair. He knew that at times like this, a good decent sense of humor was always a good thing. Uplifting in that sense. "Why, thank you, I'm glad to see me back." Then there came along his lopsided grin. |
Quote:
Folding up James' robes and laying them on her lap she let a little laugh slip out when Cedric said he was glad to see him back too. "Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh at you." She said looking down at her lap. That's the first time she had laughed in a long time and she really wasn't expecting it to happen, especially not today of all days. |
Quote:
He really hoped Marie would start to feel better now. And that her problems would be soon solved. Time heals all wounds, right? |
Quote:
She did notice him looking at the robes laying on her lap but she didn't offer to tell him whose they were. If he wanted to know he would ask. "So, where were you headed before you stopped to talk to me?" She obviously knew his main destination was not there on the stairs with her and she didn't want to be keeping him if he had other places to be. |
Quote:
Where was he headed? Well, let's see... "I was actually thinking of going to... to," Cedric stalled, his brows furrowing. Truth be told he didn't know where was he heading before he saw Marie. He then finally finished his sentence with a "Nowhere, I guess." |
I'm so sorry, I forgot about this. Quote:
"Well, looks like we were going to the same place then." Truth was other than going to her dorm room to sleep, hopefully to wake and find this day had been a dream, Marie had nowhere she needed to be. |

Quote:
She stood up and started down the stairs to the dungeon not bothering to look back. She just wanted this day to be over. |
Quote:
He watched Marie as she stood up and started walking away. He really hoped she was fine. Or that she'd be fine. |
Quote:
Turning back around she quickly made her way down the stairs to her common room. |
Quote:
Ten minutes later, she stepped into the Entrance Hall and stamped her feet rather un-gracefully on the ground to try and get some of the snow off her boots. Running the hand that wasn't still clutching at Dallins arm through her hair, she brushed a stray curl from her forehead. "I 'ad fun today," she admitted, giggling a little. |
Quote:
"I had a lot of fun," He told her cheerfully. He was about to add more, but had a feeling that it would probably be really embarrassing if he did. He ran his free hand through his hair before sticking it back in his pocket. "We should, um, do something else some time. Ya know, hang out?" Well, they were still kind of doing that right now, right? But still. Some time in the future... |
Post 4 Emily walked back through the wooden doors and into the entrance hall. Wow, it was pritty. Then her stomach growled. Man, she was hungry, she'd have to find Nika and make her come get lunch with her. Which way? Luckly she knew a compass spell! She took the pocket watch. Her mind was on food, but she tried hard to concentrate. 'White, make it white' she told herself. She took a deep breath and cried "Comletia!" Her watch turned into a white compass. Finally, she had made it white! She turned the compass over in her hand. It was quite cool. Especially compared to her last 3. It was more... well it was better. She would just leave it at that. 'Right, find Nika' she told herself and made for the stairs. |
Josh couldn't decide which one was worse: that Jake the HuffiePuff upsetting Evelyn or that Patroclus calling her smexy. Both were so annoying and sickening to the boy that though his conversation with Professor Magnus helped him to calm down a great deal, he could still feel anger remaining deep inside himself. There was no way he could forget about those. No way. Not unless he got his brain messed with somehow. Therefore, this fury was not going to leave him until he...well no. Remembering Professor Magnus' words, the Gryffindor boy tried to push any idea concerning any kind of violence out his mind. However it felt like it was the hardest thing to do ever for the boy. Plus he had no idea how he could do that. He did not know what he was supposed to do and this was making him feel much more disturbed. This had been a horrible day and unfortunately the day had not ended yet. When he decided to stop for a moment and look around to find something to distract himself from those thoughts, he realised that he had just walked in the Entrance Hall which was weird for he could not remember passing the grounds to come here from the Quidditch pitch. Something was surely wrong with him. But...he was going to deal with it! Now, he was going to get to the Common Room and relax a little. Yes, that was a good idea. However the moment he took the first step for that the possibility that the Prefect might be there hit him making him halt where he was. So the lion boy made his way towards the Great Hall instead only to stop again. Maybe he was supposed to find Patroclus in the Common Room. Hmmmm. Looking both directions the Gryffindor got confused, unable to decide where to go just like he could not decide which one he should look for first : Jake or Patroclus. |

Not paying any attention to who was around him, Jake entered the Entrance Hall, still whistling loudly, letting the sound echo around the hall. The young man had a stress ball in his hand which he was currently tossing up into the air and catching every now and then. Hum de dum. |
Quote:
So, holding his red and yellow Gryffindor scarf in one hand, he closed his dark brown eyes for a moment and took a deep breath only to relieve himself a little and he was about to mentally focus on one of his happy memories when he heard someone whistling an annoying melody making him open his eyes immediately and totally ruining the happy memory. So, the boy turned to give his most deadly glare to whomever was whistling. Hah! The Gryffindor froze for an instant when he saw who the whistling idiot was. The very next moment, his fury rose and conquered his whole body. Holding the scarf quite tightly now, he cursed ignoring who might hear it before yelling out of pure hatred and anger. ''YOU!'' Now he got him! He had nowhere to escape and there were no professors around. ''Stay where you are or...i don't think you'd like to know what would happen otherwise'' |
Quote:
"Ah." Ah indeed. Jake's eyes flitted over to the door that led to the stairs to the basement corridor, and then back to Josh. He could stay... and end up in trouble... or he could at least TRY to leave. Because this wasn't good. "Uhh... later dude," Jake smiled innocently and began walking quickly to the doors. Not running. He never ran away. |
Quote:
Later? Who did this Mr ex-Stutters think he was? And in what kind of a business he though he was, simply wanting to postpone or/and avoid it? Josh was definitely not asking him to play hide and seek with him. Could not he figure this out? And there was no way the Gryffindor would let him do what he wanted and merely avoid or escape from the upset lion boy without the consequence of him feeling the urgent need to visit the Hospital Wing. Because...it was needed to be done. He needed a serious lesson. Josh Carter was completely fed up with this Hufflepuff's utterly annoying behaviour since his very first year at this school. Plus... had he just smiled at him? Seriously? As if Josh could be more annoyed than he was right now. So, standing there in silence for a moment or so, his dark glare fixed at the Huffie, the boy narrowed his eyes and watched Jake walk away from him, looking like he was in a serious hurry. Hmph! If the yellow Puffy really thought Josh was going to let him pass by without showing him how it was like to be in a bit of (!) trouble with the Gryffindor boy. ''ARE YOU DEAF?'' then he yelled after the other boy and dashed forward after him. Now, there was no one to stop him. Once he approached the Hufflepuff which did not take much time at all, Josh attempted to catch his arm ''Do what told you to do! Stop there! Stop before i'll feel the urge to reshape your face and other parts'' |
Quote:
Nearly at the door! Then he could run. YUP. But then Josh had his arm, and Jake nearly had a mini-freakout. He hated people touching him, and anything where he felt he couldn't get away was bad. The young man turned back and tried to tug his arm back. "You need to let go of me," he said, trying to keep his voice steady. He didn't even laugh at what else Josh had said, even though it had been funny. Jake scowled and tugged his arm with more strength than usual. "I'm done with your immaturity, Josh." |
Quote:
And he was not going to like them which Josh did not care. If one asked to the Gryffindor boy, he'd say that the Hufflepuff seeker deserved everything that was going to take place in there. And it was going to start anytime by now since Josh managed to catch him. ''Perhaps in your dreams'' he replied holding the other boy's arm pretty firmly. Hah! The Huffie could only imagine that Josh let him go and that'd be just pure fantasy. Then the lion boy was going to say something else, actually was going to warn him about even breathing the same air with Evelyn when Jake had simply called him immature. 'I'm done with your immaturity' Meh. Look who was talking about immaturity. Yet it was still annoying and did not really help Josh's already furious mood. ''Done ha?!'' so he snapped at him ''What are you going to do about it then?'' One more word to annoy him and he was definitely going to taste the hardest punch ever... |
Quote:
Using the 'my shoe needs tying' excuse, she smiled at him apologeticly before taking her arm off his and bending down. After retying her laces, she stood up. Now it wasn't like she'd been trying to get away from him, but if he was annoyed by her holding him he wouldn't be. Maybe. "So, did you go 'ome for ze break?" she asked. |
Quote:
In his mind he added And there are no signs of intelligent life nearby, but decided not to say that bit out loud. Because he really WAS smart enough not to. And oh, Josh was going to teach him a lesson? That was predictable, but Jake shrugged. "What is your problem, dude? You're acting like a total neanderthal," Jake scowled at the younger boy. "You need to chill. the heck. out." With that, Jake gave another wrench of his arm and shook his head with what might have been pity at the Gryffindor boy. |
Quote:
Hearing her talk, he looked back at her. "Nope," he said, shaking his head. "This was actually the first time I've ever stayed at school for Christmas." It was kind of sad, actually. But at least Hogwarts had had a nice homey feeling during the holidays - that was nice. And he'd still gotten letters and presents from his family, which was good, too. "What about you?" He asked, turning to face her. |
Quote:
As they crossed the Courtyard, Patroclus increased his speed, he wanted out of the cold NOW! As the great Oak doors loomed, the Lion broke into a swift power walk/jog/run thing, and covered the last few metres. "Aww that's better" he grinned as the warm of the castle sunk to his bones. Turning on the spot, looking at all the walls, and the roof he mused out loud, "Now if I was a toilet, where would I be....." Toilets need plumbing, but there was plumbing on every level of the school, "I say we try the statue!" he announced at last, Pointing to the statue of a man holding the castle of Hogwarts on his hand, "Maybe he shrinks us, and we go into the mini-school!" Sounds perfectly logical! |
Quote:
''...all you do is nothing but trying to look down on me and intentionally getting on my nerves. Does this sound good?'' he slowly shoke his head and held the boy tighter ''I don't think so.'' Definitely not good. Actually nothing was good with the current situation at all in addition to the fact that it was kind of unnecessary. This tought hitting his mind for an instant, Joshua blinked a couple of times considering what he was doing again and as he did so his grip on the Hufflepuff loosened a little. Yet Jake's next words immediately made this thought vanish in his mind though the Gryffindor did not fully understand it. ''I have no problem except...'' Acting like a total what? He had no idea what that word meant. But seeing it had come from the mouth of this Jake Morgan, there was no way it could be any compliment. ''Are you trying to insult me?'' Had not he warned him about this before? He could not remember. But he doubted Jake would follow that warning anyway. Then, there was only one thing to do... His gaze turning into a softer one, Josh dropped both of the Hufflepuff's arms and took a few steps away before quickly dashing forward him and punching him hard in the face. ''YOU-WILL-NOT-HURT-HER-AGAIN!'' And that was all he had to say, at least right now. |
Quote:
Joshua needed to learn about PERSONAL SPACE. "Josh. Seriously. You do not scare me, you got that?" Of course he didn't. ANDHEHADBOTHOFJAKESARMS. Ugh, the kid was delusional. "Are you really so self-centered to think that all I ever do is try and wind you up? I have my own life, Josh. I only remember you exist when I see you." Geez, dude. Anyway, yes. Josh had let go, so Jake straightened his robes. "Not insulting. Merely making an observa-" WHAM! Suddenly, Jake's nose exploded in pain. REALLY?! "DUDE! ANGER MANAGEMENT! SRSLY!" He covered his hand with his sleeve and put his hand to his nose... stupid thing bled so easily. Wait, what? "'Hurt'... what?! Who?!" WHAT THE HECK?! |
Quote:
If he were a toilet where would he be?... what kind of question was that. "You'd be in the bathroom" he pointed out to the lion, but the boy was already going towards a statue. Jacob examined the statue, "That seems highly illogical, but then again, everything here is illogical. So really it's very plausible"... did you need a password... or maybe you had to answer a riddle like the ravenclaw common room. Jacob had gotten good at that, though he still got stuck out every once in a while. He knocked on the statue "Hello...? Anyone home?" he raised his eyebrows. What were they supposed to do. |
Hecate made her way out of the great hall into the entrance hall. She was in a sour mood dealing with the likes of Damian Slytherin. Horrible Child. She looked at the children in the entrance hall... Was Morgan's nose bleeding? Was it the weather? Why was Carter looking angry? Blunt and Hudson was there too. "Could someone enlighten me to what is going on?" She asked nonchalantly . |
Quote:
Looking down at the Hufflepuff's bleeding nose, the boy laughed rather insanely at Jake's instant yell. ''Yes, somebody needs some management. That's right'' And it had nothing to do with anger. The lion boy was going to show this poor Huffie how management was performed well enough to finish such business. So, he walked forward and grabbed the other boy's robes with his both hands and pulled him close again. Again another lie. How stupid did this Jake Morgan think he was? Maybe he was trying his chance just because Josh was not a Ravenclaw. Hahahha. Funny. But even the most IQless person would not believe that this Huffie did not know who he did hurt, regardless of houses. ''A moment ago you were the smartest person ever, Jake, why playing the idiot now?'' Such a coward! It was not going to save him... ''You know who she is!'' Josh snapped at him as he raised another fist to punch him but at that very moment a way better idea occured in his mind. So the Gryffindor lowered the fist but harshly shoke the boy he caught some before starting to speak with a tone which was dangerously full of hatred ''There's only one way you can walk out of this in one piece.'' narrowing his eyes that were fixed on Jake, he went on ''Hit me! Do it as hard as you can! Right now!'' heh. At least he could try. ''Hit me!'' the fist was raised at him threateningly again ''Or i'll make you feel the worse than...'' Yet the madly angry Josh Carter froze when he heard the familiar voice of... Quote:
Not really moving, even not his gaze for a couple of moments, Josh take a deep breath as he lowered his fist again. Then he freed the Hufflepuff and pushed him away from himself before he turned his back to have a look of Mistress Lafay. She was demanding to know what was going on, if Josh did not get it wrong. It was a fact that Joshua Carter was the last person to lie to get rid of a certain situation. So, at first the Gryffindor slowly approached the Potions Mistress, the angry gaze was still on his face and now he was feeling too hot and sweating. ''It's always good to see you professor'' so the Gryffindor spoke totally ignoring the others in the room. ''And believe me, there's nothing going on to waste your precious attention on it'' Well, he LOVED this woman. |

Psycho child. Jake just did his best to ignore everything being said by the deranged Gryffindor, figuring if he let the insanity run its course he'd soon be off to Healer Moretti, to get his nose fixed for the second time this year and tell her there was a Gryffindor seriously in need of her attention. And now he was held by the robes... ANDNOWHEWASCHOKING. Despite this, Jake would not hit the boy back. It wasn't a matter of honour; it was about being smart. If they were not in a place where Josh had more back up than Jake had, even if Jake was on good terms with many professors, he'd hit the boy back. If they were not at school, sure. Josh knew he would. It wasn't like they hadn't had that issue a couple summers ago... BUT, it didn't matter. Somebody was here before Jake had too long to panic. One other person had tried to strangle him once, and that was in first year... it brought back horrible memories about the bully Jack Mosier. BUT he couldn't talk yet. Quote:
"Psycho child here hit me in the face and tried to strangle me," he explained hoarsely, his voice all funny out of mere fear. Well... who WOULDN'T be scared in that situation. "He corners me here, grabs my arm when I try to leave, goes on about teaching me a lesson and whatever. I told him he was acting like a neanderthal and THEN he says something about hurting 'her' and gets even more crazy, hits me in the face and grabs my throat, like you just saw. He told me to hit him to get out of the situation in one piece." Which was VERY tempting. Not the one piece stuff necessarily, but HITTING HIM. "Tried to leave the situation early but probably would have hurt him and done more harm than good. I think he's lost his mind, Professor," Jake said with the TINIEST hint of concern. "I mean... he's hit me before but he's NEVER been like this." Jake eyed Joshua Carter hesitantly. He was fully prepared to lose points for the neanderthal comment but, like he said, he didn't care one jot. Maybe Lafay had bruise paste? Or she could fix his nose. He doubted it. She clearly hated his mere presence. Maybe Jake should prepare for expulsion. |

He hit and strangled him? Why for? "Hudson... Blunt..." She said calling the prefect, and captain. "Did either of you witness the exchange?" She asked. |
Quote:
Wait, What he do? Jacob saw that it was Lafay who was talking to them and cleared his throught when she asked the question. He didn't say that... No one heard it! "What did they exchange, Professor?" he asked, being completely serious. |
*Running down the hall Matty tried to out run a dark brown owl carrying a smoking howler. But it was no good and the owl dropped the red letter in front of Matty and it opened. He tripped and landed face first in front of the horrid letter.* *A mans loud voice rang out shaking the walls a little.* MATTHIAS! I SAID NO MORE FIGHTING! WHAT MUST I DO TO GET IT IN YOUR HEAD TO NOT FIGHT! AND WHAT ABOUT YOU TRYING TO BE MORE SOCIAL?! YOU ARE GOING TO THAT PARTY AND YOU WILL ENJOY YOURSELF! *Matty laid there with his hands over his head waiting for it to be over. When it was he slowly looked up unsure what to do now.* |
Quote:
Not really watching where she was going she suddenly came to a stop when she almost stepped on someone laying on the floor. Noticing who it was and seeing the howler laying there in pieces she started to laugh. "Are you kidding me? You're afraid of a little howler. It's not like it's going to jump up and punch you in the nose." Geesh, Matty seemed more afraid of that howler than he did of her when she broke his nose. |
Too lazy to quote XD Jakers, Mistress Lafay and Eagles' Captain Though he was still mad at the Hufflepuff for countless reasons and still thought that he needed much more than what had happened so far to get the lesson he needed properly, Josh tried his very best not to charge back towards the badger boy and teach him more stuff on how to behave, for the sake of the rest of the school because it would not be a really wise act to do so before Lafay's eyes since it'd make him look like the only source of the fuss that had taken place in here. And that was not true. This time he was going to try his best to fight against any injustice present in this school unlike what he did during the past years. So, he did not try or attemp to cut in as Jake spoke explaining what had happened though it was pretty difficult not to do so. The Gryffindor did not even comment about the insulting words he used over and over again during his speech. Ah, it was interesting to hear that Jake thought something was different with him this time. So sweet! BAHAHAHAA! Yet Josh pretty much disagreed to that. Once the Hufflepuff was done with his words, so now Mistress Lafay knew all about what had happened and surprisingly Jake did not lie about ir or exeggerated it. Weird. Josh thought he'd do that only to make him suffer the most painful detention ever but it looked like he was wrong for once. Hmm...perhaps he had done that because he was scared of the Gryffindor boy. Joshua patiently kept his words to himself until the professor asked a question to the others in the room and until the Ravie Captain spoke making Josh Carter laugh with a hint of sarcasm in his attitude for a moment or so till he had remembered that he probably had the Potions Mistress' eyes on him. However the Ravenclaw was still ridiculous. Anyhow... ''Professor...'' so Josh began taking a few steps closer to Lafay and looking at her, ignoring anything else as usual ''…i don’t think you need any witnesses.'' Especially NOT some cowards like that one ''I never lie about anything because i don’t need to do so. So, yes i did hit him. To be more exact, i punched him. But i honestly do not remember strangling him. Of course this does not mean i’m denying it. Perhaps i did. I don’t know.'' |
Quote:
OH. OH. Let's get some WITNESSES before dealing with injuries, SHALL WE?! Jeeeeez, Lafay. Priorities. Straighten them. Raising an eyebrow at Josh, Jake found it hard to believe him. "If he can't remember doing that then I don't feel safe being around someone who could do something like that at any time." And if he remembered it? Well, duh. "Professor... kind of bleeding out of my face here." |

"Twenty points from Gryffindor." She said with a raised eyebrow. "And you will come to my office to discuss this further." ooc: We can just continue with our office RP and add this to it, if that's ok. Quote:
