Jake seriously hoped that that MANIAC would be expelled... and if he wasn't, words would be said. Once she was gone, Jake watched the door down the the corridor and rubbed his throat. His eyes were only leaking just a liiiiiiiittle bit. "The compassion in this school is hardly second to none," he muttered with a little sniff, stiiiiiiiill massaging his neck. He shot a glance at the other students in the hall and shook his head, getting away before his eyes started leaking even more. Why was he being so emotional? He wanted to either cry or KICK something. Jake ran up the stairs and headed of to Moretti's office. The sooner he saw her, the sooner he could pack his bags. |

He raised one of his eyebrows at Leo curiously with an slightly amused smile. It wasn't in Leopold's nature to be serious and yet he was. Chandler just couldn't help but find this funny so he let out a little chuckle. He had been amused at him taking his clothes off and now it was his turn to be amused. And now he was GLARING at him. Scary!Leo. D= But he HAD to snort at that comment. SNOOOORT. "Zat's...cool Leo." Not to mention HILARIOUS. But what do you expect? This WAS Leopold O'Donald after all. Chandler vaguely raised an eyebrow at the boy with a curious look on his facial features as he saw Leo looked around corner and he seemed...nervous? Yeah, nervous was the best adjective to describe him at this moment. "Bad spies? ...What bad spies?" He asked with the most blank face a person could ever make. That's right, it felt like his best friend was talking to himself and not him which just creeped him out greatly. "SHUSHHH!" Chandler silenced him with a finger to his lips. He was hardly whispering, more talking in a quite tone very fastly and they could be SEEN by someone. WHAT THEN?! "Yeah and zat includes NOT whispering as loud as you can! We ARE spies right now if you remember." Now who was the one out of character? ...Both of them really. "But I still want one." Spy gear was spy gear and it was AWESOME. So were spies and other related things. |

"You have never gotten a punching owl before have you?" *Looking down at the girl he smiled.* "Unless you are the punch that is coming. Don't you have some first years to pick on?" |

"Perhaps if I use the reducing spell on you, that will skrink you, and then I can pick you up and drop you into the Mini-School........sound good to you?" It sounded excellent to Patroclus, especially with the Qudditch Match coming up soon, perfect chance to elimnate some competition. Without waiting for a response Patroclus' hand darted to his wand holster, pulling it free he pointed it at Jacob, however he was stopped by the voice of a certain lady professor. Quote:

A small jet of steam shot from the boy's wand, as it hung limpy by his side. The damage was done, twenty points, the LionBoy's eyes closed to slits as he deathstared Josh.... "I don't think it is here Jacob" Patroclus muttered, wanting to test another area, and get away from the scene of the crime, "Shall we head up a level?" |

Now looking up at Matty, since he decided to finally stand up, she laughed yet again. "Well, we could probably arrange another punch if you wanted." Heck, she knew how easily his nose broke so maybe next time she would go for an eye. Then again, he did end up with both eyes black from that last punch of hers. Eh, she'd just have to wait to see what happened... what the boy might do to deserve another punch from her. Then she will decide where to hit him. "Why would I want to pick on first years? Don't you know it's not nice to pick on kids smaller than you? I'm perfectly happy picking on you." Yeah, she was so gonna love being a thorn in his side every chance she got. |
*Matty smirked and crossed his arms looking down at her. What was with this girl and hitting him?* "Why do you like using me as a human punching bag?" *Using his foot he crushed the rest of the howler into the ground. Stupid party, that's what he got for having his uncle and aunt having friends still at Hogwarts.* "Stupid howlers... I hate those. That's the only way my uncle thinks he can get me to do things." |
Quote:
Watching him stomp on the howler Marie laughed yet again. "You get a lot of those do you?" She asked looking down at what was left of the howler Matty seemed so terrified of. "Just what is it your uncle wants you to do? It can't be that bad... can it?" |

Skidding to a stop in front of Arya he held up his hand, placing his other on his knee and bending over a little to try and catch his breath. After a few gasps he managed to straighten a little, and keep enough air in his lungs to manage a weak apology. |

Shaking her head, she dismissed his apology with a wave of her hand. "You don't have to apologize, I haven't been here long. Besides." A grin spread across her lips. "This means that I win and you owe me marshmallows in my coco." |

"He wants me to go to that stupid tea party thing. He thinks I'm not very social and need to get out more." *In a way Mattys uncle was right. Matty had made a private pact with himself to be more out going, and he had been but he could always do more.* "My uncle thinks that send me a howler and embarrassing me will get me to do what he wants." |
Quote:

"He thinks that I need more friends..." *Matty sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.* "They sometimes work. But there is no way I'm going to that thing... reminds me to much of home. Are you going?" |
Quote:
|
*Matty smirked and crossed his arms. He had a good idea why she wasn't going.* "What will you be doing? Studying? Really? I think you either don't want to go because of someone you might see." *He shut his mouth for a moment. That seemed a bit harsh but this girl had hit him.* "I'll go if you go." |
Quote:
o___O He would go if she did? Was that his way of asking her to go to the party with him? He did know she had a boyfriend right? "Um, you don't need me to go to the party with you. You're a big boy, I bet you can handle it all on your own." There had to be someone there he would know... like Mia. He did say they had made up and were talking again. She had a feeling this boy wasn't going to be persuaded so easily to go though. She had to figure a way to get him there without her having to be his date... or whatever he was thinking. "I dare you to get dressed up in a costume and go to that party just to prove to your uncle that you do have a social life." Now would he take her up on that dare? |
"With me? I wouldn't want to go with you." *He was a little confused by that comment. Then it hit him. Matty didn't mean that, he wasn't asking her out!* "Well I dare you. We'll see who makes it." *Matty smirked and left. He was pretty sure that she wouldn't go but if she did... he better find a costume.* |
Quote:
What? He was daring her to go? This wasn't supposed to be about her going to the party, it was supposed to be about getting him there so his uncle would get off his back about socializing. Whatever, she would take him up on his little dare. "Fine, I'll be there, let's just see if you have the nerve to show up." She said as he walked away from her. Crud, now to find a costume. Where was Mia, she could help her. |
Ivy. :) As Evan ascended the stairs from his common room to the Entrance Hall where he and Ivory would be meeting, he noticed she wasn't there yet. Better for him, because it always left a bad impression for the male to be late. He was about to check his watch when he remembered he didn't wear one. It would look so wrong with his peasant costume. So, instead, he leaned on the stairs and with his fork in his hands and started whistling a small love song to pass the time. She would be here soon, though. All cool and friendly. |
Evan ^,^ It was a good thing she'd thought to add a cushioning charm to the English shoes she was wearing, or else the seven flights of stairs down from the Ravenclaw common room would've been a real pain. Giving her foot a gingerly shake as she paused at the first floor landing, Ivory smiled down at her shoes. Her comfortable shoes. Should she decide to dance today, she'd do it gladly and with no whining. One arm extended to place a slim hand on the nearest banister, Ivory took a few deep breaths against her corset. It wasn't painful or uncomfortable by any means merely a style she wasn't used to. The funny feeling didn't have anything to do with the butterflies floating around in her stomach right? Right? Shrugging her length of hair over her shoulder, Ivory straightened up and began making her way down to the Entrance hall, her dress swishing lightly across the steps. A shy smile bloomed on her face as she realized Evan was already waiting, and as she arrived at the bottom steps she gave him a little curtsy her lashes casting small shadows on her cheeks. "Hello good sir, I hope I have not kept you waiting long." Because that would suck. It was one thing to be fashionably late it was another to be annoyingly so. |
Quote:
"Amazing." Blinking a few times and hoping she hadn't heard it, he suddenly felt awful for choosing to be a peasant. Because even though this was only a party and nothing serious, he still couldn't imagine a peasant with such elegant lady. Taking a deep breath to extinguish the fire in his stomach that wasn't there a minute ago, he smiled at her as he gave a bow of his own. Taking her hand, he placed a soft kiss on it and said "You look amazing, my lady," while still bending. Now he felt extremely lucky to have asked her only being friends. He would feel no pressure and still be with an amazing girl. Or, no pressure as soon as his stomach calmed down. Offering her his arm, he shifted the fork to his other and asked "Shall we?" |
Quote:
Inclining her head politely at his compliment, Ivory smiled genuinely. "Thank you, good sir. You flatter me with your praise." Her eyes sweeping over his ensemble she gestured to his clothing with a grin. "And might I say you look cu-" She'd been about to say he looked cute, because his out fit screamed of adorableness, but odds were that was the last thing a guy wanted to hear. He probably wanted to be told he looked manly and rugged with his fork. "Quite fetching." Yes, good save. A twinkle in her eye, Ivory took his arm lightly ignoring any random butterflies. "Why yes, we shall." And now to go see their hard work pay off. |
Continuing up the floors, Evelyn finally started to sprint as fast as she could, tugging Lexi along with her this time around. This was one of the few times she was rather proud of her daily jogs around the school. So she was able to run quickly away from potential life or death situations like THIS! Though, holy Merlin…she felt as though she was dying. She hadn’t trained her body to run through smoke. However, once they were in the clear of the smoke, flames, and…SMOKE AND FLAMES…Evelyn slowed down and let go of Lexi, placing her hands on her hips and started to…walk in circles. Ow, her lungs hurt. Her body hurt because her lungs hurt. Breathe….breathe breathe…Suck in the clean air! Oh man. She was…she was going to faint. Wow. Need to sit. |
Quote:
As soon as Evelyn let Lexi go she stumbled a few steps and then fell to her knees in the floor. Surely they were quite a sight... sopping wet, covered in soot and ash. And... about to DIE. Lex placed her hands on either side of her head to stop the spinning and sat on her knees trying to breathe normally... not working. She was SURE she was going to die any moment now. She began to cough and hack again and her throat felt like someone was rubbing steel wool down it at a quick pace. "Insane," she mumbled before she eased herself over onto her back and lay looking up at the ceiling, still panting for breath and coughing all the same. |
Quote:
Ow… Ow… Okay, deep even breaths weren't working! Opening her eyes, she tried to swallow but even that made her cringe. Merlin! She just…meh! Leaning back, she sat down and relished the coldness of the stone floor. That felt good. Didn’t make her feel entirely better, but it was nice; especially since she was rather warm from running and the heat of the flames. Leaning back on her hands, Evelyn glanced over to Lexi, seeing her on the floor and hearing something about insane being mumbled. Insane? "That was awesome." She smiled as a few hacking chuckles escaped her, before laying on her back and closing her eyes, letting her arms fall next to her all eagle like. However they still…perhaps they forgot… The cauldron and dungeon were probably…still on fire. |
Quote:
... Uh - oh... the dungeons were probably ablaze by now. Oh well. "Hope that thing goes out on it's own," she whispered before giggle!coughing again. She tucked her hands behind her head and smirked slightly. "We have to do that again... in a safer place of course," Lexi declared with a firm nod. |
Quote:
Smiling at what Lexi said, she tilted her head up to look down the hall from where they came. No smoke yet, so who knows? It could possibly be creeping up here right now. But…the fire… "It better not burn our common room." She muttered, lifting herself half up from the floor with her slightly soot covered hands. All her stuff was in the common room and dormitory. Crud, she didn’t think of that. Lafay would be so angry! The last few things Lexi said she heard in the back of her mind, though she didn’t really acknowledge it. The worrying was starting to set in. "My common room is down there." OMG! |
Free time and a mild winter day...that what was on the schedule so Simon was thinking about heading out for some fresh air... at least around the courtyards because winters in Scotland could cause bad cases of cabin fever. Meandering down the stairs from the common room, he was just making his way down the last flight of stairs to the ground floor when he paused mid-flight spotting two prone forms on the floor of the entrance hall. Making his way down the rest of the stairs, the Gryffindor moved closer amused to spot Lexi and Evelyn of all people both laying down on the floor chating absently. "Having fun?" he asked suddenly appearing over the both of them. Hearing the last thing that was said, he couldn't help raising a curious eyebrow. "Burn your common room?" he echoed before making a face finally registering the off smell of smoke. "Do I want to know?" |
Whaaa? Looking up, her first reaction to someone speaking to them was SHEER PANIC! But once that was over and she saw it was only Simon, she smiled...and then...she wasn't guilty! Pfft. Yes, burn her common room. That's what she said! If she'd known someone was coming, she wouldn't have said anything at all. "Yeaa..." she trailed off, turning her gaze back towards the way to the dungeons. Ehhh. "Some kids...set a fire down there..." In Destiny's cauldron and burned their clothing. ... Not them of course. They were good kids Standing up swiftly, she smoothed out her ash and dirt covered skirt before taking a few steps closer to Lexi and bending over her. "We need to go back down there." she hissed quietly, looking back to the steps down to the next level below. "I can't let it reach my common room. Or..." EEP! Or Lafay's office! Gah, she couldn't remember how far away the professor's office was to the passage. |
Lexi was mid giggle!hack when Evelyn mentioned her common room. Crap! She lie still in the floor trying to think of how they were going to remedy this... BIG issue. No sooner did she open her mouth to reply did Simon show up. CRAP. ... Lexi scoooooted away from him and more toward Evelyn. |Hearing her reply to Simon she nodded her head vigorously and sat up on her elbows. "Yeah... we tried to put it out... but the kids ran off and the smoke..." Cue the innocent eyes. As Evelyn leant over to speak to her she had an AHA! moment. "Bubblehead charms... that is what we need to cast before we head back down. I will help you," she said with a firm nod as she finally pushed herself up off of the floor. Ack! It was SO cold. Looking to the Gryffie Cap'n she smiled sweetly. "Simon... could you loan us your coat, jumper and scarf? Seeing as we are all wet and stuff? Please. We will bring them right back," she asked in a sugary sweet voice. She then gave Evelyn a look that clearly said that they would take his clothes by force if necessary... Yep. They would. |
"I see," was all Simon said at first not sure what to take at face value. Usually he could tell something was up, especially having been around Josh for so long but there was something about trusting Evelyn and Lexi at least to some extent. Like that SOMEONE had started a fire and THEY had tried putting it out. Simon's curiousity returned as Lexi moved swiftly away from him and towards her companion as if afraid of him for some reason, the two girls talking quietly between themselves in between their conversation with him. He stood back from them more to allow them both room to get up from the floor, meeting his fellow lion's gaze as she was once more closer to eye level. He was about to say something in response to Lexi when her own words stopped him in his tracks. How else does one react when prepositioned to dress down to your shirtleeves in the middle of the entryway but then he finally registered the conditions of the two wet and dirtied girls in front of him giving him only slight pause before slipping first scarf and coat off and handing them over to the pair. With a sigh, he then bent over slightly and pulled his jumper over his head and off causing the captain to finally register the chill of the hall himself through his shirt. "I'll hold you to that," he remarked handing the last item over. "Sure you don't need any actual help?..if you couldn't before you might not now unless others are around." |
The smoke... So much smoke! Nodding slowly, her unblinking gaze staring down the hall, she finally blinked after a moment when Lexi mentioned the bubblehead charm and...wha!? Eyebrows raising in surprise, she turned towards the Gryffindor girl and was JUST about to say something about NOT needing any help with a simple charm, when she realized...it was the fire that she was helping with. Not the charm. HA! Right. Okay. "Bubblehead charm. Right." she repeated, nodding again. Gah, why couldn't she think of that beforehand hmmm? Standing up straight, she pulled her wand out once again and lifted it up to her face, listening to what Lexi was saying to Simon- Ohhhh! She was right! They...they needed some clothes. And she totally understood that look. Hehe, good thing she already had her wand out. Turning around to face the two, Evelyn "I suppose another could be helpful." she replied, her foot tapping the ground impatiently as she looked back to Lexi. Yes? No? Was he going with them or not!? She wanted to get down there! Her precious common room... |
Quote:
... Pointing her wand at herself she quickly casta bubblehead charm and then turned to look between the two others... Simon COULD be helpful. Indeed. SHe then gave a shrug, a nod of the head, and then jerked her head back toward the way they came. Better late than never... hopefully they weren't too late. Lafay would kill them ALL for this if the dungeons caught fire and all... Yeah time to go. She motioned with her hand for Evelyn and Simon to do the same and began to walk timidly toward the corridor leading downward. Here goes nothing... |
Simon straightened up, doing his best to ignore the colder temperature that seemed to permeate the lower levels reminding the Gryffindor one of the reasons he prefered the towers and upper floors where the heat rose. "You're welcome," he responded back as Evelyn thanked him for the sweater, the boy ignoring the fact that she seemed to be getting comfortable in his clothes. He followed the Slytherin's gaze to their third party assuming that meant Lexi was making the decision if he was allowed to come help and despite her mixed signals took it as the affirmative. Slipping his own wand from his shirt sleeve, he echoed Lexi's actions applying the charm to his head before following the two girls' lead to wherever the fire had originated. His wand returned to it former place until it was needed, his thoughts already flitting to ideas of what could await them and what might be needed. |
Quote:
The first time he'd stayed at school during the holidays? Well that was something Aimée could relate to. She nodded a little. "I stayed, too," she replied, biting her bottom lip in a sad kinda way. "Eet was my first time staying awell, but I suppose eet was better zan it would've been at 'ome," she added, which was really quite true. At least she'd seen people around the school, instead of being cooped up in the house on her own. |
Quote:
So he changed the subject again. To the first thing that came to his mind. Which was random, of course, and not very interesting. "Sooo," he said slowly, "What's your favorite thing about Hogwarts?" Yeah, dumb question and all, but maybe it could get her to smile or something. Hopefully. |
Quote:
Not the snow - sunny South France had definitely been better weather-wise, in Aimée's opinion anyway. And not the - wait, they were the only two things she could definitely rule out. So that meant she had the task of deciding what she liked best out of pretty much anything. After a moment, she shrugged. "I'm not sure," she said with a slight laugh. "Most probably ze people..." Yeah that was about right. She'd made quite a few friends, and become closer to those she'd already known. "Or ze actual Castle," she said with slight realisation. "It's a lot more magnificent zan Beauxbatons. Bigger, generally nicer, too. "What es yours?" |
SPOILER!!: Lexi and Simon Hmmm, she supposed Simon would be joining them? Lexi made no move to disclued him from the scene so it was all good correct? Her only worry was that Simon would find something of theirs and assume that they were only covering their tracks so they wouldn't get into trouble. ... Which...was what they were doing. But he didn't need to know that! Blinking as they both started off towards the dungeons one more, the Slytherin took a few deep breathes, staring up at the ceiling for moment before casting her own bubblehead charm over her mouth and running after them to catch up. Holy Merlin...what a disaster. |
Quote:
He shook himself out of his thoughts when she asked him the same question, although he had to think about his answer too. She had pretty much taken his answer, since he was pretty much in love with the castle, and the people in it were cool too. But he didn't want to steal her answer, so he decided to think of his other favorite things about Hogwarts. "The food is definitely a good thing," he said thoughtfully and with a serious nod of his head. Sure, he had good food at home, but Hogwarts food was always delicious. At least to him. "Aaaand... the people, yeah." He just had to add that, because the people here really were awesome. He'd made more good friends in his few months here than he made during four years at Merlin's. Maybe he'd gotten more good-looking over the summer or something; that would make total sense. |
The Entrance Hall. Maddie walked through the huge doors, bag in and, and looked around with her eyes wide. She'd missed the castle whilst she'd been away - of course, all her friends didn't know why she'd been away yet, but she would tell them eventually. Her eyes fell on the crystal point counters, and she pouted slightly to see that Ravenclaw were losing. Ah, well. It was early in the year yet. Early-ish, anyway. She hoped they would earn some more points. It would be nice to win. She straightened her already straight robes, quickly ran her fingers through her already perfectly brushed hair, and headed towards the staircase. First of all she would put her trunk in her dormy, and then she could go and find her friends. Starting with either Sel or Timothy - whomever she found first. |
Quote:
And boy, was She plesantly surprised. Selena snuck up quietly behind the brunette and hugged her. "Maddie, this better be you because if not I'm hugging a stranger," Selena said squeezing the girl extra tight. Not that Sel minded hugging complete stranger, everyone needed hugs after all. |
It was Saturday and Hogsmeade was open. Finally Marie would be able to get away from school and the temptation to study. She felt pretty excited as she leaned against a wall in the Entrance Hall waiting for Finlay to arrive. She had a feeling they were going to have a great time today. Hogsmeade, no studying, |
Quote:
ahh. There she was. Finn grinned as he wandered over to her. "Hey Marie." Aren't we looking pretty today. Yes...he did have a feeling that they were going to have a good time. |
Quote:
His wand clattered to the floor. "Maddie?" His voice shook slightly from sheer delight, and the prospects of her turning out not to be dear Maddie, and his hopes to be dashed terribly. |
Quote:
She was determined not to let this ruin her day. "You ready to go? I need to get out of her." She said putting on a forced smile. |
Quote:
She needed to get out of here? Hmm. That didn't sound too good. But then a lot had gone on recently, so maybe that was why. "Yup I'm ready." |
Quote:
|
Quote:
But...oh. That really wasn't nice. At all. No wonder Marie was not feeling okay at all. Finn frowned, crumpling it back up in his hand. "That's harsh..." He murmured, looking back up at her. "I'm sorry Marie.... whoever wrote that needs a good punch..." So maybe it was a good thing he didn't know who had written it. |
Quote:
Looking up when he started to speak again she was relieved that he wasn't laughing. "Thanks." She now looked into his eyes. "Am I really that bad of a person? I mean is it really my fault that I can't keep a boyfriend?" He was Jimmy's best friend so maybe he knew something she didn't know. She was sure the guys talked |
Quote:
Was she a bad person. Finn watched her, shaking his head. "No..." She wasn't. Finlay smiled at her, taking her hand, and giving it a comforting squeeze. "You are not a bad person at all." Apart from like whens he was hitting people. "I don't think it's your fault either..." Finn commented, moving a little, so that he was leant up against the wall next to her. "Don't let this get to you Marie...." |
Quote:
Still holding his hand when he moved to lean against the wall next to her she put her head on his shoulder. "Right. Don't let it bother me. It's all lies anyway. I know what really happened and that's all that matters." Well that and the fact that he still wanted to be her friend. |
Quote:
But...Finn really did like how she was putting her head on his shoulder. That was nice too. "I thought as much." He agreed with a smile. Of course it would be all lies, Marie was a nice person really, apart from when she was punching people. "Still wanna go down to hogsmeade?" |
Arabella-Marie entered into the entrance hall and sighed the visit back home was bad and basically her mum said to her not to worry because she would be in good hands with the doctor and to concentrate on her studies and that she would be better in no time at all |
Quote:
Still holding his hand she started towards the door. There was no time to waste. They had things to do. |
Quote:
"Is there any shops you wanna go too?" He asked, as he walked alongside her towards the door. If there were only a few shops then maybe they could head to the three broomsticks too. |

She smiled excitedly. It was so great to be back, finally! She'd really missed this place, Maddie realised, and all her friends too. It had been lonely with only her dad for company. Well, and the horses, but they didn't talk back when you spoke to them... Quote:
'Timothy!' she said, giving him a hug too. 'It's so nice to see you!' |

"OhmygoshohmygoshOhmygoshohmygoshOhmygoshohmygosh, " Selena continued as she jumped up and down with a bright smile on her face and a bit of a crazy look in her violet eyes. "Maddie, I officially hate you for leaving and love you for coming back! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" Selena said stopping and grinning wildly. AAAAHHH. Her friend was totally back. "Tell me everything! Why haven't you owled? What did you do? Are you any taller? Do I look shorter? Ohmygosh!!!" Selena continued. |
Timothy had never been so excited in his whole life. She was back, the girl of his dreams. Back, from whatever strange adventures had brought her away. A flush of memories flooded through him, The kiss, the dance….everything. He was amazed. She had grown, and she looked beautiful. He could feel his knees shaking ever so slightly, and he blushed as she threw her arms around him. He hugged her back fiercely, He wasn’t alone anymore. He hadn’t had a relationship since theirs….but now was not the time for more hopes to be dashed. He was just glad she was back. He let go of her as another one of her friends approached. He backed off timidly and ran his hand through his hair nervously. “Tell me, how have you been? I have missed you so much…” He let his words trail off |
Quote:
Probably. He was adjusting his scarf to head outside when he noticed her. Treyen remember the first time they met, and it seemed like forever ago, "Arabella-Marie! How have you been?" he said, walking towards her. |
Quote:
|
Quote:
"That's good, very good." He was nodding now, and sort of forgot about the fact that his scarf was still hanging from his right shoulder. "You're a second year now, right?" Aww, man, she was barely starting at Hogwarts, and he was right in the middle of it, with the dreaded OWLs next year. |
Quote:

Quote:
Not that it mattered or anything, but he'd gotten her year right. "Have you considered which extra lessons you'll be taking next year?" he didn't know if Arabella-Marie was already taking Divination or not, but it was either that or Arithmancy. He didn't particularly liked Ancient Runes, even if he had a set and everything from when Shackleton taught in the school. He'd made that set, that's the only reason why it was still in his trunk back in the dormitory. "I'd recommend Divination, but I may be too biased to do so," so, she shouldn't listen to him. "You could always take on Quidditch, if you like it," like, really focus on Quidditch, extra practices and everything. Ha. He was missing the Pitch very much. |
Quote:
'Well, I love you too.' Maddie said breathlessly, planting her feet squarely on the ground again. No more jumping. 'Just at home. I had dragon pox,' she explained with a grimace. 'That's pretty much it - I just stayed in bed and read about a gazillion books.' she said with a laugh. 'And yes, you look shorter. But only because I'm taller now!' Quote:
'So Timothy, what did I miss?' she asked 'I can see we're third for the House Cup... that kinda sucks...' she said, faking a pout. She wondered when the last time Ravenclaw had won the house cup was. Certainly before she had arrived... |
Quote:
"Well, you're back now!" Selena said, throwing her hands up in the air like that muggle song. WOOT. Her bestie was baaaacccck. Yeah weirdos, be jealous. Pffft. "Dragon Pox... sounds painful," Selena said with a pout. Books, dragon pox and home... for some reason that didn't exactly sound fun. "Well, you're back now!!" Sel offered brightly. Ah! They totally had to go celebrate later or something. "Pffft. I'm four feet and five and a half inches tall," Selena pointed out. Oops. Maybe she had been a bit too hyper. Whatever. She smiled at the guy there and waved her hand like there was no tomorrow. Which could happen. "Hulloooo," Selena chirped. |
"Hullo to you as well ma'am" Timothy emulated the other girl and did a frantic wave. Not mocking her or anything, just an attempt at humour. He grinned. "You haven't missed much, only a few boring lessons, and some contrived none sensed adventure that I took no part in. Though I wager there will be another one soon." He grinned. Then frowned, "Dragon pox? That's horrible! That disease swept through a village near my own a few years back. Poor muggles. I am glad you made it through with out a scar!!!!" He smiled, "we're always near the bottom for the house cup, though I really don't care, as long as we learn our magical skills, who needs to win a popularity contest?" |

"I feel like I 'ave a lot more friends 'ere zan I did at Beauxbatons," she said as he agreed that the people were great. Maybe part of the reason was because she'd begun to let her guard down and stop being so obnoxious, but she wasn't going to admit to that, no. She just put it down to the people being nicer, except for Leo and Chandler. Nah, they'd always been nice, she supposed, otherwise she wouldn't be friends with them. |

He almost let his mouth fall open when she started talking again, saying practically the same thing he'd been thinking. "Me too," he said, his eyebrows scrunching together slightly. "I mean for me, at Merlin's." Duh. "It's kind of weird, don'tcha think? Considering I went to that school for four years and I've only been here a few months..." He trailed off, looking away. He had totally not meant to say all of that outloud. |

Aimée bit down on her lip to stop herself from laughing as she saw Dallins mouth drop open. She didn't know why it had, but the sight was slightly comical - although she didn't want Dallin to think she was being horrible, laughing, so she stifled it. She smiled when he looked away; either he hadn't meant to say all of that, or he was really brave, and she was willing to bet on the former. "Yeah... I mean, I was at Beauxbatons for three years and I zink I... well, I don't know, but it's better here..." she shrugged, trailing off herself. "Maybe we just got better looking over last summer, eh? And now more people want to talk to us?" she said with a wink - that thought was totally feasible, maybe not so for her. |
Quote:
He snorted at her reasoning, then quickly composed himself. "That could easily be the truth," he chuckled, feeling his face redden. "For me, at least. Because it's rather hard to believe you were any less beautiful than you are now." And... Dallin had officially rendered himself speechless. But to his credit, he just smiled sheepishly at Aimée. He didn't even look away, even though he knew he had to be blushing redder than a Gryffindor crest. Heh. |
Quote:
As Dallin blushed, Aimée could feel her own cheeks and ears getting hotter and redder, and she smiled. "Zank you, Dal," she managed to say, although it came out a little strained. He's was so unbelievably sweet, she'd never had anyone say anything of the sort to her before. It was amazing, she thought, that he still was looking straight at her, instead of looking away, and she kept eye contact with him, too. "Zat was... Zank you." Yeah, that was all she could manage. Oh crap. |

Pssssht. They were at the bottom because Slytherins were awesome. Hmm... probably best not to say that when Maddie was here... even though Maddie totally knew that Slytherin was obviously the better house. Hehe. |
Fail post, sorry. >_< Aaand let's pretend it's nighttime, yes? ;) Quote:
...Time to once again say something totally random. "Hey, you ever been to the Astronomy tower at night?" Not that he ever had, but he was sure it must be cool. He knew that it was a weird, random suggestion, but he hoped that Aimée would go with it. He was really starting to worry all this standing around was boring her. |
Quote:
Running up the new set of stairs, the Slytherin giggled quietly at what she heard Destiny yell at her. If they ran around enough, would that actually happen? That'd actually be gross. O__O "If your legs fell off, you'll never get your horn back!" she called over her shoulder, pausing for a moment before continuing down another corridor. Merlin, they were in the entrance hall already? Aw, it brought back memories; running through the entrance hall. Bad, horrible, nightmarish memories, but memories nonetheless. Eh. |
Quote:
Not only was she trying to kill her, she was trying to kill her for a reason. Destiny should have known there was a reason why the girl STOLE her last name, then STOLE her horn and then she was trying to STEAL her package bomb. Evelyn was trying to kill her so she could BECOME her! Sweet Merlin! It was all making sense now. Next, the other girl was going to be walking around with chocolate stained Slytherin ties, shoes without shoelaces, a rat in her pocket and hair that looks like it hasn't been brushed in days! Because that's what Destiny Shepard looked like right then. She did have to stick her hand in her pocket just to make sure her pet rat Marcus was still in there. He was. Ignoring the whole 'If your legs fell off, you'll never get your horn back!' comment, because really! She could use her arms to pull herself all over the school to get it back, Destiny continued down the corridor, not really paying attention to where they were. "EVELYN! I AM GOING TO HAVE MARCUS EAT ALL YOUR SOCKS!" What a threat. |

That was how he was taught to speak, speak without manners, and it usually got him the backhand of his father. But that was a different story for a different time. He looked at this other girl again, She must have been one of Maddie's friends, she always did hang out with the weird ones. MAybe she took pity on them.... |

Pffft. And he was giving her the oddball look. Hmph. What did he know? "You're tall," Selena offered. Pffft. Tall people. One day short people were going to rule the world. Yup. Because let's face it, being tall was overrated. Mmmhmmm. |
Not fail post, and okay ^__^ Quote:
"Ze Astronomy Tower at night?" Aimée said, glancing through the slightly open doors at the star-speckled sky. "No, I can't say I ever 'ave," she admitted. She was surprised that she hadn't, it seemed like such a lovely, albeit random idea. But random, spur of the moment ideas were often the best, no? |
Timothy smiled briefly, suddenly she was was nice! He was tempted to reply with a bitter insulting comment, but he held back. There was no need to insult a friend of Maddie's. Plus, if he was lucky, she would be his friend as well. "Thanks Ma'a...er...Selena, You are uhhh.....pretty?" He didn't know what else to say really, as it would be impolite to comment on her short stature. |
Quote:
"Thank you, I try not to be," Selena said, half serious. Because seriously, who wanted to look like a doll half the time? Pffft. That meant work and glitter and stuff. Selena did not want to catch glitteritis. She'd leave that for the rest of her family. Mmmhmmm. Awkward. What was she supposed to say now? "So... erh... what house are you in?" she asked. What else was there to say?! He didn't seem really friendly like TallPerson! And, quite frankly, Sel was not good with meeting this tall person. One tall person should be enough... mmmhmm. |
Her comment on not wishing to be considered pretty caught him off guard for sure. How awkward was that? He was trying to give her a compliment. But oh well, women were fickle about some things. He smiled grimly. "Ravenclaw, home of the purple and lack of fighting skills. What about yourself?" He hated being a ravvie, too many stereotypes. Good thing he wasn't a huffie. That would really suck. |
Quote:
"Huh. Me either, actually." He turned his crooked smile up to look Aimée in the eyes. "Just got the idea. The sky's kinda cool at night, don'tcha think? With the stars and all?" That was most a rhetorical question. Dal glanced out the doors and at the sky. "Whaddaya say we go check it out?" Just a random idea, but it really was better than hanging around in the entrance hall of the school doing nothing, right? |

AND NOW FRENCH FRY WAS TELLING HIM TO HUSH! :whaa: HE WASN'T THE GOOD SPY WITH ALL THE EXPERIENCE! Leopold pushed his friend's finger away from his mouth, glaring. *SMIRK* So he carried on, in his crouched position. And now he was QUESTIONING thr bad spies? Leo stared at his friend again, a serious look on his face."Yes, ANY of this people...they could be bad spies...ANY OF THEM I TELL YOU!"He whispered to his friend, looking around the Entrance Hall."They could give information to the bad guy and then we are in SERIOUS trouble."Again, he was just stating facts. ........."Maybe my mom will buy you one for your birthday."Which was actually coming up soon. |
Ellie stepped into the giant hall of entrance-ness and glanced around for Alex, but didn't see him. Pff, yeah, she beat him. But she was upset. Alex had told her Yeah right, Alex. She needed to talk to that boy. Now. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot, waiting for the little Slytherin boy to walk around the corner |
Quote:
He walked up to her slightly hesitantly and a small wave of his hand. "Um.. Hi." he smiled. |
hehe <3 Quote:
Ellie saw Alex turn the corner, and all her hard feelings faded away. Really, how could she ever be mad at him?! He hadn't started the rumour, after all. And he had been so nice about it too. She watched as Alex approached her somewhat hesitantly and his cute smile melted her anger. Ellie smiled sheepishly at him, glad they could finally hang out. She unfolded her arms. "Hey." She said with a shy smile. But stiiillll, nagging at the back of her mind was that blasted rumour. It made her upset that someone thought that she had hooked up with a Slytherin that she had known for a whole five minutes. She wanted to know who started it! Ellie frowned and looked back up at Alex. "Can I...?" She started, but trailed off. Ellie unexpectedly wrapped her arms around Alex in a big hug. She just wanted a little comfort from a close friend. And she wanted that friend to be Alex. "I'm sorry I got mad at you about the whole rumour thing." Ellie said quietly, still hugging Alex. She hoped he didn't mind hugs, because he'd have to get used to them. |
Alex loves huggies! *squish, squish* Quote:
He pulled away slightly to look down at her, then it hit him. He wasn't just hugging a friend. He was hugging Ellie freaking Johanson! Oh.. That got him nervous. "So erm... The rumour was false so it doesn't matter who started it right?" Right? Or would she go after all the Snakes in the whole school now? |
Invitation in hand, package in pocket and frown on his face, Sabel moved into the entrance hall. His eyes did a quick sweep for any one of those who's names were scrawled on the list tucked safely in his pocket. No one yet. He was early. A good thing. Maybe he could try and collect his nervous and confused thoughts before it was time to leave. Nothing about any of this made much sense and already his guard was up and his body tense. He supposed it didn't really help that his arm had started to bother him again, most likely thanks to the stress of work and the invite. Finding a private spot on the sill of one of the windows near the great doors, he folded his legs up under himself and rested his arm across his lap. Long sleeves covered most of the cloth he had used to wrap his arm up in, the unction protected by its clean surface. Only his hand bore visible bandaging in such a method that he could still use his wand if needed, or write, or eat, or any number of essential activities requiring dexterity. The last thing he wanted to feel was crippled by some type of poor, restrictive bandaging. With a slow sigh, he worked on adjusting the holster around his wrist, over the bandaging, under his sleeve. Not the most comfortable set-up, but it worked. And he wasn't leaving the school without his wand. Now it was only a matter of time before the others showed up. |
Now this was going to be interesting. The last time Patroclus had seen Lord Borr was in his first lesson ever here at hogwarts, and it had not gone well, in fact it was the only time in the boy's academixc history that a Professor had yelled at him, and sent him from the class. He still remembered the injustice of it all; the then LionCub had been called a dreamer, with his head in the cloud, he was Eleven! So it was with a mixture of resentment and interest, that the Lion Prefect arrived in the Entrance Hall, in his best set of freshly laundered school robes, his badge gleaming on his chest, his wand securely tucked in his holster. Taking in the room, he spotted another invitee, Sabel. Moving over to the Older Lion, Patroclus waved a greeting before saying, "Hey, well this is going to be interesting!" |
... *goes to work on an outfit* Quote:

One hand in his pocket, the other swinging by his side, Jake trotted up the stairs from his common room and entered the Entrance Hall, glancing around and seeing- YES. He wasn't the first. HAD he been, Jake would have hidden just behind the door until someone else was there. He hated being first. "Hey fellers," he said with a small 'sup' nod, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a small box with something for the dude who's party this was. Jake was looking quite at home in his casual muggle suit, without a tie but with a handkerchief in the breast pocket in Hufflepuff colours. He couldn't help himself. "Do you guys know why you were invited? I've no idea about myself. Not complaining, mind..." |
Two field trips in one term. Arya couldn't be more excited. Sure this one was a bit more formal that the one for creatures class, and it wasn't to the museum or something of the like, but it was still exciting! It was a PARTY... for some guy she kept having to pull her invitation out to remind herself of his name. It sounded like an animal of some sorts. Hopefully they would have name tags. Skipping lightly down the corridors, taking her sweet time since she was going to be early and therefore in no hurry, she made her way to the entrance hall. The smile on her face growing wider when she spotted three familiar faces. "Hey guys!" She skillfully weaved around Jake and Patroclus, waggling her fingers at them in greeting. It didn't take much effort to squeeze into the window beside Sabel, being small had its advantages. Absently she busied herself with fixing her dress. "Excited about the party?" Was it not obvious that she was? Absently her eyes flicked to his bandaged arm, remembering the conversation they had over breakfast, and she did her best to hide all the worry and concern she had over his injury. Now wasn't the time for that, so she simply let her eyes flick up at him with a smile. |
Borr...the man who had taught at Hogwarts with all his self-absorbed glory back when he was a second year. And now he was to be junior undersecretary of the minister of magic. Yeah that was a wise choice...like the man actually did anything other then pass gas and complain. Walking towards the entrance hall, dressed in some nice clothes, his wand ever present within reach, Simon tried not to let his curiousity as to his invite outweigh the weirdness of it all. After all the professors getting an invite made some sense but the students was another story, especially the random list that had been posted on the board. The captain hadn't been able to help but notice seven out of the twelve had been Gryffindors including Patroculus, Lexi and Kurumi. He finally entered just as Jake asked his question, the wonder seemed to be on everyone's mind. A quick glance around the entrance hall revealed Pat and Sabel two fellow Gryffindors were also already there. "Beats me," he answered with a slight shrug supplying a reply to the query. However at the more energetic entrance of another Hufflepuff he silenced the rest of the words for now, having no real answer for the younger girl's question. Excited meant looking forward to it. |
It certainly didn't take long for people to start arriving, and he was definitely grateful for the distraction from his thoughts. However, one by one they all seemed to vocalize the same question. Difference; they seemed rather excited, some nervous and few apprehensive. Sabel spared them each a small smile, nod of the head and a 'hey' but kept quiet about the common question hanging in the air. There was no sense in tainting the excitement with his nervous hesitation. Patroclus was right, things would sure be interesting. He gave a small shake of his head to Jake's question, going back to adjusting his holster and readjusting it, attempting to remain casual as the boy's question fueled his own to vocalization. "Have you all met or talked to Mr. Gevrik at one point or another throughout the semester?" Kurumi, Lexi, Jake and himself were all on that list, and he couldn't help but wonder if the others were. The thought was cut short as he heard Arya's voice, quickly pulling the sleeve of his jacket over the bandaging of his arm and his attention turning to her. A small smile returned to his lips as she moved onto the window ledge beside him, and he shifted a little to give her some more room. "Still debating that." His eyes followed hers, from his hand and then back up to her eyes, another shrug leaving him before the smile was back. "You look lovely." |
