On her way back from the Owlery, Emily stopped by the Broomshed... it seemed to be a good hiding place, and who knew what she could find there.... Lafay had planned the activity really well, the items and ingredients were so well dispersed that she was having difficulty keeping her breath as she ran around the school.
Well... she didn't have to run.... but she was that eager and excited to get it done.

The broomshed brought back a lot of memories, some good ones, some bad ones, some average ones.... either way, after her seven years she would miss it dearly. She didn't feel ready to leave.

Glancing around the room, a light reflected off a smooth, shiny surface...
AHA! she thought, striding forward and placing it-awkwardly in her charmed assignment bag... she hoped it wouldn't squish some of her other items....

She took a few minutes to gather her thoughts and decide where to look next... perhaps the greenhouses?

Already highly fed up of being outside, Jake went to go and check the broomshed, somewhere he really didn't want to be. It only served to remind him of something he'd probably never do again.

So it was a good job that he saw what he needed straight away. Jake put the item carefully into his bag and eyed his list. At least that was an obvious one...

Time was getting on, so he went off to the front gate, where he'd already seen something but wouldn't go to check out yet, it being so far away.

Ahh, the broomshed. With this summer weather, Hugo didn't have problems with searching outside. Who knew exams could be fun- BAM. There it was. Merlin's beard, how out of place could it be? He took one and placed it in his bag. WOW, that fitted. Now he really needed to learn an undetectable extension charm.

They had a broomshed? Emily entered the run down little shack and looked around.
Brooms, brooms and more brooms. And... Well at least this one was quite obvious. She snatched it up and crossed it off her list. Only a few things left now!
She smiled and skipped out, still in search of more potion things.

Luin walked into the broomshed. She remembered coming in here for that one flying class, it was interesting, she did like being able to decorate and personalize the broom after that class. Although, flying wasn't still her very favorite subject here at Hogwarts. She looked around and quickly found the item she was looking for. It kinda stood out here in the broom shed. She walked over and picked one up , placing it in her bag carefully. She then walked back out. Woo! One more item to go!

Kita skipped over towards the broomshed. It would be a good place to hide something. Something that just so happened to be used in potions.

There was only one problem: she had never been in here before, despite the fact that she played Quidditch occasionally. So... she didn't know what looked out of place and what didn't. "Hope it's not too hard..." she mumbled as she opened the door of the broomshed.

She frowned. So many brooms! She was kind of hoping there wouldn't be so may things in here. But then it would be too easy to find the item.

She saw something glinting out of the corner of her eye. She looked up towards the item that was shining in the sunlight. A smile spread across her face as she reached up and grabbed the item. She placed it in her bag carefully, closed the door and headed off.

And now onto the broomshed!

Taking only a brief moment to admire the brooms and wish that she had one of her own, Vashti sighed then looked around the rest of the area. Surely whatever Potion-related item that was here would be easy to find. It wasn't like Flying and Potions had a whole lot in common...

Aha! There it was. Taking one of the items, Vashti let it go into her bag before crossing it off the list and heading out.

Caroline sighed looking at all of the brooms, she seriously wanted to fly this year. but that didn't happen. flying at home would be the best and only thing that she looked forward to this summer at home. She had her mind made up she was trying out next year for the house team.

She began to look around, surely this should be easy, right? What did flying or broomsheds have in common with Potion? Nothing. And this thing hanging there beside a broom didn't have anything to do with fly, she took it off the wall and put it in her bag. She was half way done now. She had a feeling that this next half would take a while.

Cam sighed as he sloooowly walked in the Broomshed, slowly admiring every broom that was out there. He hadn't been on a broom at all for years and just looking at all of these teased him and he had the urge to steal one and then fly away around the campus. But nope, he was here to hunt. He wasn't sure how the Broomshed held any Potions-related items but *cough there were a loooot of people going in it cough*.

That was sooooo not cheating.

He quickly walked inside, surprised an item from the list was there, put it in his bag, and walked away.

Cherry snuck into the broomshed.

And stared.

And stared.

SHE LUUUUVED BROOMSTICKS!!

It didn't occur to her that most of the brooms in the shed looked all oldish. To her they looked SUPAH SHAINEE!!! She touuuuuched one and poked another and laaaaauuughed. She had almost forgotten about the scavengerhuntthing and dragonprofessormadam when she SAWWWWWW.

The item.

She picked it up and dropped it into her bag.

the broom shed Mikey knew Lefay use to play quditch so why not hide it here, she couldnt hide it too hard or the Deputy Headmaster would having her server punch out of her favorite cauldren to all the departing students at the Hogsmead train station.Shure enough ther it was just sitting on the shelf. Droping it in his bag Mikey checks it off his list and heads out the door

Selina was stressed by her Potions final. Finding the items was growing increasingly difficult. She thought that she would take a breather by being surrounded by what she loved most- brooms. As she stepped through the doors she looked at all of the brooms lined up in an orderly fashion. Quidditch was such a beautiful thing.

Then beside one broom she saw something not very Quidditch like. Selina could not escape her final. Taking the hint to get back to work she grabbed the item and left the shed.

So, of course Spike had headed outside to look for the items first. He hated being stuck inside all day. Outside was a place for running around, enjoyment and generally having fun. And one thing that had given him lots of fun, and more than a few rather impressive bruises, was Quidditch. Which was probably why he'd manged to wander to the broomshed first on his scavenger hunt.

And it seemed like he was in luck, as he spotted a foreign object amongst the brooms. Now he just needed to get the item in his bag. Was that even possible? With a small 'Ow' as he knocked his bruised side, somehow it did manage to go in. With a satisfied nod, Spike ticked that from his list.

Now where?

Rex sees someone there and in his rush to find the next object, he bangs his head on it. He manages to shove the item in his bag with great difficulty and a great big headache.

Nika walked into the broom shed. She was tired of looking. The castle is HUGE. These items could be anywhere! Nika looked around and noticed something shining in the sunlight. Well that wasn't here last time. Nika went to get a closer look and a smile creeped onto her face. "YES!" Nika marked another item off of her list with a smile.

As he was finished finding some items in the Lake and the Greenhouses, why not check on the other outdoor places too? For Cedric, that was the most sensible thing he could at the moment. He wouldn't want to search the Greenhouses then subsequently search for a thing on the seventh floor. That was too tedious and silly. And he was anything but silly.

So here he was, at a standstill on the Quidditch pitch, on the Broomshed to be exact. And he thought he just found what he needed. The item was clearly situated near the brooms. Handling it with perfect care, Cedric then placed it inside the bag.

One to go, baby!

Why was he hereeeee?!

Surely Lafay liked Quidditch but he highly doubted the woman had hidden some part of the treasure inside the Broomshed. After all, it's not like she and Vindictus got along pretty well. Especially not after Treyen and Arya had concluded that the reason behind such an awful relationship was because she was left out of their band (The Tatertots) and could only act as a groupie.

It was a very good reason for anyone to be mad at Vindictus, hehe, Treyen thought that it was Mr. Professional Athlete the one that had given her the news.

His mind was off looking at each and every broom, not caring whether if the ceiling fell or not and then his fingers touched something that didn't seem to belong there, and then he kept on eying the brooms.

Hold it.

He took a few steps back, and chuckled.

He'd gone through those objects more than once and he hadn't even noticed! Ha. Awesome.

Treyen was beyond happy now, because he was holding nine items. If only he'd found this one first, then his bag wouldn't be such a mess. Oh, well, inside it it went.

And now he was heading back to the Dungeons for sure. He was okay with nine items.

Quiddich and potions. Two subjects he really didn't care to place together. Potions was already unnerving enough, to add in the fear of flying and the uncertainty of being off the ground was just nauseating. So he would do a quick peak around and that was it. No dawdling, nothing. In and out and that would be that. He doubted Lafay would find a use for the broomshed anyways. What could she possibly hide that was on the list that would be found in a broomshed?

With a sigh, a nervous fidget with the list in his pocket and a final steeling of his stomach, he pushed open the door and peaked inside. No one, no Vindictus. It was actually rather dark in the enclosure. Stepping inside, he pushed the door open until it touched the wall, letting the early evening light spill into the hut, casting long shadows about the quiet brooms hanging upon the walls. For all that it represented, it looked rather tame, quiet and forgotten.

Perhaps it was his muggle side that had him perceiving the room of brooms as speaking of age and disuse. Sure muggles had cleaning closets, but never with so many brooms or with brooms of such age. It was something one would see in the servants quarters of a historical home. Suddenly it was less threatening and he moved in further. He even went so far as to let his fingers trail over a few of the brooms, as if trying to comfort them in an abandonment they didn't know they had. Vindictus took good care of them, that was for sure, but the silence of the evening did something to give them such a forlorn appearance.

It was a few feet in that he had to stop and smile. Hanging up in the corner was his broom from his first year at Hogwarts. He'd recognize it anywhere. With a bit more lightness to his step, he moved over to the old item, running both his hands down it with a wider grin. Horus. It was what he had called it when he had taken his first flying lessons. A time that felt like ages ago. Another life. It was strange seeing an artifact from that time present, unchanged. Everything else had changed, but this one small thing, the representative of one of his greatest fears, had remained constant. And there was a strange sort of peace in that knowledge.

It was upon his examination of his old friend that a glint caught the corner of his eye. As far as he could remember, nothing ever glinted in the broomshed. Ever. Part of the whole look of abandonment he supposed. With a frown a turn of his head, he spotted what it was that had caused the brief flash of light. Embarrassment touched his cheeks as he left the broom and made his way over to the glass cauldrons. Apparently the broomshed wasn't as off limits to Lafay's test as he had thought. For all his fear, he was glad he had decided to check the location, and retrieving one of the cauldrons, he tucked it carefully in the bag he had retrieved from the potions room. So it was true, jewels were found in the most unlikely of places.

His eyes returned to Horus with a soft smile. Two jewels. If he had time, he would have stayed to give the broom one last cleaning, but as it was the sun was already on its way down and he was only beginning his journey. It was time to move on.

Kyle slipped quietly into the broom shed, she saw it, a small broom stuffed in the corner. She wondering what Vindictus would do if he knew they were emptying the broomshed so thoroughly. She mused, biting her lip she grabbed the broom, and quickly shoved it into her bag. Now she had three things down off of her list - and a few more to go. And just as quickly as she had entered the broomshed she had left. With one more item in her undetectably extended bag.

Eeehhhh!

Once Marie figured out where and what they were close to, Evelyn had to practically drag the girl to follow along with them. There was no way Evelyn was going to be picking up whatever item there was here for the girl if there actually was one, so Marie had to get it herself! Meaning, she had to follow them.

C'mon Mariiiieeeeeee! *Drags*

"Do you guys think that gossip thing was true?" she asked, still tugging on Marie a she glanced to the two of them. "You know..about Vinny and Lafay? Getting rid of the other professors?" What if they found clues and such by the broomshed? Clues that led to the finding of that Herbology teacher she didn't know the name of? Or Professor Antares?

Destiny didn't know how it happened. One minute she was hanging all over her friends and the next, Evelyn was pulling Marie and she was pushing her. Why didn't she want to go to the broomshed? Really, they needed to get this final done!

Puuuuuuush!

It was a good thing, now, that she was on such a sugar rush or else she would have been worn out and Marie would have gotten away.

"Probably." she answered simply, giving Marie an extra push or two or three. "We all know Lafay and Vinny are both crazy.." and Destiny would know crazy, wouldn't she? "..and I bet it was Vinny who got rid of Antares and Lafay got rid of the Herbology Professor. It makes sense, you know? Lafay wanted plants for her potions and Vinny wanted..control..of..the sky?"

Meh. It made sense!

Puuuuush!!

She wasn't going to do it.

They couldn't make her.

"I'm NOT going there. You two can just go by yourselves."

There was no way she was going anywhere near the broomshed... where Professor Vindictive could find her. She knew how he loved taking points from her and her sneaking around his shed would be the perfect opportunity for him to do that. Her friends seemed to think differently though as they dragged and pushed her closer and closer to that dreaded shed.

Lafay and Vindictive working together? Now there was NO way Marie was going near that shed.

Pulling away from her friends she stood right where she was and didn't move another inch. "I'm NOT going in there if there's a chance those two will be in there... together." EWWW!

NOT. GONNA. GO. THERE!

"Besides, this is a potions final we're doing. Why would Lafay hide something in the broomshed? She's not gonna wanna risk being caught by a bunch of students if her and Vindictive are up to something."

Hehe, Destiny actually made sense. "Or Vinny just wanted more control in general. Starting with the highest level in the castle." Literally, one of the highest levels in the castle. Astronomy was on the seventh floor. One of...the higher levels that she'd ever been on anyways.

Ugh. "Fine Marie." she scoffed, not bothering to pull the girl any longer once she resisted and stopped. What?...WHAT?! "Oh for the love of Merlin Marie...I did NOT need that image in my head." Regardless if that was or wasn't what the girl was talking about, it was now stuck in the youngest she-snake's head. Then again, not only did she not want to go into that broomshed because of what now torturous image was in her mind...there were also spiders in there. Ew.

However, Marie had a point. "Maybe that's the best reason to hide something in here." she suggested, taking a few steps forward and pushing open the door. "To throw people off."

Shudder. Spider webs.

Fine.

Marie didn't have to go in there. But, if whatever they needed was in there, Destiny was not going to bring it out for her. Nope. Hopefully, for her friend's sake and the sake of the WHOLE Slytherin house, whatever they need would be outside of the broomshed.

Moving around Marie, because she was done pushing her, she moved over to Evelyn when she opened the door and made her way inside. It was empty. Unless the Professor's were hiding behind those things. Those things that looked like they would be needed for the scavenger hunt. "But think about what we could do if we DID catch them together! We could..like..blackmail them."

Mwaha!

Was it strange that she knew what blackmail meant? Nah. She felt a spy mission coming on, but it could wait until after all their items were found.

"Anyway. I think they are what we need."

Yes. Maybe she should toss one to Marie.

BLAH! BLAH! BLAH!

That's what Marie heard coming from Evelyn and Destiny's mouths. She did not want to hear any more about LaFlame and Vindictive... and she still was NOT going into that shed.

Plopping down there on the ground she watched as her friends made their way to the empty looking shed. "If you find anything we need just go ahead and grab one for me too." They owed her. After all she did clean Evelyn up in the owlery after her not so graceful fall in the owl presents... and Destiny... well she saved her butt from Ev by cleaning her up before she had a chance to hex Destiny into oblivion for making her fall.

Yeah.

They both so owed her for all she does for them.

She would be sure to remind them too.
