So, the next stop is the exciting Blue Whale, Marine & Reptile Gallery
As you enter the large room, the bone theme is still present - you notice this if you look up to see several sea creatures' skeletons hanging from the ceiling. By the walls are a couple of replicas and parts of fishes, like sharks and those things that live so deep underwater you might never have known them.
Some of them even have names associated with the Wizarding world, like this big lizard, called Komodo Dragon. This gallery has more to offer, but don't worry, the class will get to them soon.
Maya kept walking and finally stopped to stand infront of what looked like a dried out fish with a thing poking out of it's head. "What... is this?" She hoped to hear some fun answers. Unless everyone in this class was supersmart. Meh."Give me your best guess." Come onnnnn.

"EW! That looks kinda gross!" Nika stuck her tongue out in disgust. "Professor, I think they are called angle- angohle- Angolher- Ang-ler fish???" she had watched a show on the discovery channel about them once. Hopefully her memory wasn't fooling her.

Belle looked at it, "Hmm i have seen this in a muggle movie called finding nemo, it is an angler fish with the light sticking out of his head to find its prey because it likes to live in the dark depths of the ocean." "Woww i do sound nerdy." Belle thought to herself.
hearing some one ask bout the old cartoon "Nemo is a firsty that on his first field tripto the barrier reef and he goes out to far on a dare when the teacher tells them not too,and he get captured and has a big adventure looking to Mr Stryker and giving a wink

"Nemo is just a name, like Selina," Kurumi explained trying not to laugh. "A clown fish is a small fish that is orange and white, with just a little bit of black." There was no sense in going into its habitat because Selina probably had no idea what an anemone was either.

Kurumi shot a look at the Slytherin boy. Despite hating confrontation, there was no need for him to try and force his purist theories onto everyone else. He was one of those people who had grown up reading stories from that book written by a cockroach anyway. Kurumi still couldn’t get her head wrapped around the whole concept of a beetle bard anyway…sounded creepy.
“Yes, it is in fact,” Kurumi snapped. “And it would do you some good to not be so ignorant.”
Short, and two the point. Then she saw him reach for his pocket and squeaked rather loudly. Was he really going to try and use magic in the middle of the museum?! He really was ignorant. She was a waste of his time? More like the other way around. She had met people like him in what he called “muggle-land” - people from her own elementary school who cast her aside and tried to break her down by throwing mud, cursing at her, and beating her up each day. All of them just as ignorant at the next. Shame that there had to be people like that in the wizarding world. HE wasn’t worth her time.

Looking the pickled fish, Patroclus raised his hand and cleared his throat, "Professor that is the AnglerFish!" he said his words forming confidently, "They are refered to as Angler fish, due to the way they use a a growth on their forehead as bait, similar to the way an Anglerfisher would." Now he was the awesome part. "This lure is rather remarkable as the growth actually glows, due to a process known as bioluminescence, which is seen to be very advantegous for it's predatory nature as it is often found in the deepest darkest depths of the Ocean"
Yeah, so Patroclus knewn very little about sealife......NOT!

"He can be...offensive sometimes. He's usually nice, but he knows absolutely nothing about the non-magical world, and most often, if it isn't Jaina telling him, he doesn't want to. He's not trying to be mean; he just has a tendency to act awful when gets annoyed.
Unfortunately, I'd figure you've met a lot of people like that. It's more common, it seems, in the muggle world, but it does happen here, mostly with purebloods."
She tried to widen her smile.
"I think Finding Nemo is funny."

Yeah you could tell why she was a Slytherin and not a Gryffindor now couldn't you?
And then she caught a glance of the Polar Bear looking at her. THE EYES! Someone please tell her that these weren't real...
She felt sick? Oh Merlin, that wasn't good. Vashti would rather her friend not be sick at all, but since that wasn't the case here, she at least hoped Trixie wasn't physically sick, as in, possibly-throwing-up-sick. Because if that happened, things would get ugly fast.
"I'm sure they're not really real animals," she assured the older girl, though she really wasn't sure herself. "They're probably just fake like...like a teddy bear." Except teddy bears weren't this creepy.

Ohhh, Vashti knew what it was! She didn't know the actual name of it, but she could describe it. So she raised her hand and answered, "Professor, I think it's one of those fish that can be found towards the bottom of the ocean, where it's completely dark. It has a light on its head so that it can lure its prey toward its mouth."

This kid's comment really struck a nerve in Vashti. And wasn't this the same kid who'd made that really prejudiced comment about Muggles in the first Potions lesson this year? If not, the two must certainly be related.
"It happens to be an excellent movie that is far more complex and interesting than many of your magic stories," she commented, trying not to glare at the little first year. "You should try watching it sometime."

Emily kept up with the group, looking around at all of the brilliant things, wondering what they were going to learn about next.
They stopped in front of a strange fish thing... it had some sort of horn coming out of its head.... strange.
Raising her hand Emily had a stab in the dark. "It is a Unicorn-Fish??" she asked. It seemed like a fair guess... it had.. a sticky-outy-horny-thingy.
Emily opened her notebook to the next blank page and began sketching it.
Charley shot Kurumi a gentle, apologetic smile, then went and whispered to her while most of the class was distracted, taking care that Ben was especially so.

With blood dripping out of his mouth, Benjamin walked up to Charley with Kurumi. "Kurumi, I'm sorry if I offended you, but all of you half-bloods and muggleborns, that this is really my very first outing in the muggle world. In fact, I'd really hate to have to tell my father about being out here and getting his reactions. I'm really just like you guys. Out of school, first year, dramatic change in lifestyle, the whole thing is really just out of my area here, and I'm trying to adjust. Again, I'm sorry if I offended you. That wasn't my intentions at all." He held out his hand and offered a friendly handshake. At the same time, he felt the blood start to trickle down his chin and took his silk handkerchief out of his vest pocket and wiped the blood away. His hand was still out when he wrapped an arm around Charley and squeezed her tight. "Thank you, Charley."
In her excitement that she new what fish it was, she had totally missed Ben's question about Nemo. When she heard Michael pipe up with the firstie joke, she did a palm to face slap on herself. How did I miss that??? she thought.

Kurumi turned to the Hufflepuff girl who had spoken to her and returned the gentle smile. “And I grew up knowing nothing of your world,” she said simply. Not to mention people in this world seemed to be much more cruel than any of the people she had met in her own.
Kurumi was slightly freaked out now. She had never spoken with this boy before, yet he knew her name and seemed to have mood swings quicker than one could turn on and off a light switch. She looked at his outstretched hand and decided to give it a light shake. She was still afraid that he was going to hex her.
Looking at his eyes with her own violet ones, her expression remained firm. “Apology accepted,” she said calmly releasing his hand. “But, all that still does not give you the excuse to be disrespectful. I grew up being lied to by my parents about what I am, so I am very much out of my comfort zone, and have a lot more adjusting to do than most people. Still, you don’t see me going around insulting your way of life. Isn't that the very reason we are here? To learn?”
With that she walked further forward and returned all her attention on Professor Saylen still feeling a bit steamed.

Selina was about to ask another question about Nemo when Kurumi's attention was diverted to some of her peers. They were being rude and to be honest Selina was feeling the urge to instate some of the things she had learned being the youngest of ten male cousins. No one messed with Selina's friend and got away with it, but then something incredible happened. Kurumi stood up for herself. She did not stutter and she did not back down. Selina was proud. Kurumi was finally not going to let anyone push her around.
So Selina stood back in the crowd beside Kurumi and let her handle the situation. After her rant Kurumi turned back to the Professor. Selina just looked at everyone who had insulted Kurumi and laughed, "Well, she just told you lot."
Selina walked up beside Kurumi and whispered, "I thought you were going to need some back up, but you just completely told them off. I am a little proud of you. Look at that, I am rubbing off on the rule-follower Kurumi."

"I'm gonna getcha! I'm gonna getcha!" K-Lee muttered under her breath, a grin on her face. She didn't know its name, but like others had said she'd seen it in Finding Nemo, yet another muggle movie.
"I shall call it Squishy, and it shall be mine. It shall be my Squishy!" She proclaimed about the fossilised fishy.
"Miss, I don't know it's name? But does it live under the rule of 'fish are friends, not food', or does it eat other fish?" Considering in the movie Squishy was trying to eat Marlin and Dory, K-Lee was thinking that it was a fish-eater, but sometimes movies have it wrong. Doesn't hurt to ask.

"You're welcome," she whispered back, giving her a gentle hug as she could see Jaina was unsettled. "I know, but it's a lot harder of a life in the muggle world but it takes him a bit to realise that they don't have the same solutions so that's inevitable. Non-magical people have to contend with a lot, but they can't just apparate or make a potion or chant a spell to make it easier. It gets to you a bit more, I'm sure, because that's the world you grew up in, but until you he knew almost nothing of it. His attitude is, well, the Slytherin in him. We need to give him some time. I imagine he thinks so much of it is mundane, and in context it is. But he'll come around. I'll help, don't worry. He might take some of it better from me since I grew up mostly in the magical world as well."
She rubbed Jaina's head a little.
"I'd stroke your hair but that's probably not the best idea, considering the circumstances."

Cass, enthusiastically left the room with the scary dino thingy and went into another part of the museum and the first thing was she saw was, what Professor Saylen called...a Komodo Dragon. It looked small..
"Miss Stone, I am sure you will find the time to talk about yourself with Mister Lockhart when we get back to school." People were talking too much.
Hehe.

Lucy was shock to see such a creature so strange in front of her eyes ever before woohoo!! Is that thing for real? I mean is it still found, or just kept in the museum? That thing is really quite strange. I haven't seen any fish like this before
It was really very shocking for her. Thinking for about fifteen mintues, she could finally get to an answer. She was sure her answer wasn't correct, still to check she said "Professor, is it a goldfish having a horn on her or his forehead? And was only found in ancient days?" now she really wanted to know what that thing actually was or is?

"I believe it is, or rather was, an Anglerfish Professor." Cass was sure of this it had been one covered in his primary school before he was accepted to Hogwarts.
Following slowly behind the group, Ivory let her eyes flit from one exhibit to the next as she eyed what could only be expert taxidermy on some of them. But she so did not want to think of that. She was going to concentrate on the idea that many of these were made of wax and such artful things. In fact, she was just going to think about them as perfectly preserved remains. That is what they were after all.
Nodding almost unconsciously, she let her curious smile return to her face. Aside from moral musings, she was very much enjoying herself. All these odd creatures...like that dead fish thing.
Oh, the professor was asking what it was.
Joining the rest of the class in the circle around Professor Saylen, Ivory listened attentively to the people piping in and almost raised her hand when she heard what could only be called a bit of a commotion to her right.
Staring incredulously at the boy and other firsties, Ivory gave him a reproachful look. The prefect face that said quite plainly 'settle down.'
Woah! Wait. Had that boy just reached for his wand?!
She was just about to intervene when it seemed Kurumi actually came to her own defense and with logic and words rather than magic.
Smiling approvingly, she moved a bit closer. Yes, she would watch them like a hawk for the moment. Just to keep tabs on it all. Seeing the slight blood on the boy's lip and his stained silk hankerchief, Ivory efficiently reached into her small handbag. Not to grab her wand, but for a more mundane solution until Mr. Styker or the Professor decided otherwise. Being clumsy sometimes had its perks. It meant you were stocked up with the essentials.

Tapping him on the shoulder, she handed him a sterile little cotton swab and held out a small butterfly bandage. "I'm glad you apologized. Here ." She was smiling slightly now but she couldn't really keep the stern look off.
Commotion was a good word for it. And it was distracting. Distracting Isabelle, and more than likely everyone else. Flaring her nostrils, she walked over to the little group and listened to what was going on. It took alot to make her angry, but so far Ben was managing it. Placing her hand on his shoulder, and also on Kurumi's, she leant in so her mouth was more at ear level for them. "Professor Saylen is trying to teach a lesson here, please respect that. All of you," she added, eyeing up the other kids in the immediate vicinity. "They'll be no offensive talk of any kind, towards either side. Do you wish anyone to be able to hear you? Now Ben, go and stand next to Mister Stryker, and Kurumi I will stay here with you." Isabelle ushered the Slytherin boy towards the Groundskeeper, hoping the man wouldn't mind. He had dealt with him so well before.
"Pay attention all of you, please." Or Maya will most likely go and feed you to that electronic dino in the other exhibit. And Isabelle was in the mood now that she would help.

Keeping close to her friends, though thinking about going more towards the front to stick with the professors, the only thing she heard at the moment was...What is this? What was what? That thing right there?
..."A brain." she answered the first thing that popped into her mind. It looked...like a brain.
So it was decided, not that she had told either Evelyn or Mia of her plan, that after all the muggles went home, they would all sneak back and steal the dinorawr. They were going to be rich and not that five galleon rich either. ONE HUNDRED galleon rich!
And with all the thinking about galleons, Destiny wondered if they were going to visit the GIFT SHOP! Even though she didn't have any muggle money..but she did have five fingers and they were always good for a discount.
Ahem.
Following behind the rest of the class, past the big bears and whatever else they passed, she wasn't really paying attention, she stopped when they arrived at the second ugliest, most decrepit looking thing she had ever seen in her short sixteen year old life.
Giving Evelyn a small nudge with her elbow, she inclined her head towards the thing on display. "Kinda looks like Grandmum Tole when she takes out her teeth."

This was why he wasn't a professor. He could let Maya and Isabelle do all the meanie stuff, while he came out unscathed and still appearing to be the, relatively, fun staff member. Heh.
"Remember what I said, Monsieur Trevors. Do you wish to go back?" Chad paused to scratch the bridge of his nose for a second. "I suggest you calm down and keep your mouth shut. If that is too difficult for you, I would be more than glad to assist you in keeping quiet."

Wait...was Kurumi in trouble?! Kurumi looked up at her Transfiguration professor with a look of confusion, but knew there was no sense in arguing. Nor would there be any point in pointing out the fact that he started it and she was giving him a gently, but forceful, reminder about the rules they had signed. Wasn't there something about being respectful? She shot the first year Slytherin another quick look out of the corner of her eye. Ignorant people...she was pretty sure she was allergic to them and wouldn't be surprised if she was breaking out in a rash right about now.
Kurumi nodded to the Professor and said nothing more.
Instead, she looked at the fish mummy and noticed something. Her hand shot up again. "Professor Saylen," she said with a hint of excitement in her tone. "I believe that that is not only in the anglerfish family, but I think it is better classified as a footballfish." She paused for a moment to walk a little closer. "A female perhaps. Females have large mouths and small eyes whereas males have large eyes."

My voice without the lies, this is what it sounds like
"I'm gonna getcha!
Belle heard another classmate quoting finding nemo, she giggled and knew that quote by heart too. "Nice quote, i loved that movie too." she whispered.
